Chapter Text
He wished to forget. Forget all the damage he had caused. Every person he had ever hurt. Every tear he had wiped.
Just when he least expected it, every memory was gone. Just as he wanted.
He was startled for a second. It was something so weird, to wish for something and then it becoming a reality.
As soon as the surprise was gone, he chuckled.
In his lonely yet somehow comforting cave, the sound echoed, forming a chilling noise.
That only made him laugh harder. Oh, those fools.
Soon his laughter became so great it could be confused with the roar of a dragon. His mind was filled with the faces of those who had betrayed him. They would pay.
He would make sure they became so pathetic and miserable even the most insignificant creature would look like a god beside them.
They would soon curse his name, for he was going to become their greatest enemy.
And that would only make him more powerful.
He was no longer a man. Not a magical creature. He was something else: something better, higher.
When he stopped laughing, he could hear the sounds of the animals in the forest.
They were chanting his name.
