Becoming Lovers

Summary:

Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold ran away from the authorities after shooting up the school and went on the run before confessing their feelings for each other.

Notes:

I had a lot of stress 😬 and anxiety while writing this, I think it's because of how many food I ate and how many cups of coffee I drank while getting my blood work at the hospital.

I've seen so many fanfictions involving those two so I figured I can write one of them as well, I tried my best and if you don't like it, don't read, it's not that hard.

Work Text:

After The Shooting of Columbine High School

Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold escaped through a window of the school, their guns on hand as they ran back to their cars, got inside, turned on the engine with their keys, closed their doors, locked the doors, pulled back reverse to escape from their consequences and they began going on a chase in the road. The police got onto their vehicles and began chasing them, the two seniors were increasing their speeds by stepping on the car and they began to make twists and turns on the road. They began to go apart so they could distract the cops and soon enough, the two found each other again and drove away from the area.

They couldn't believe how many people they killed, one teacher and a lot of students that they killed in one day, the two continued driving until they found another city and decided to hide for the night. It was nighttime and everyone was getting settled, Eric and Dylan parked their cars on the side of the road and ran throughout the street by foot, avoiding their consequences by running until the two decided to go to the woods and that's where they found a nearby lake.

The two panted for air, craving the oxygen, they left their guns and other materials in their cars so they wouldn't be found, Eric looked at Dylan and said "HELL YEAH! WE SUCCESSFULLY DID IT!" Dylan smirked at his best friend and added after catching his breath "Yeah! We managed to kill a lot of people. All we need to do is get new identities and have a fresh start, if that's possible."

"Of course it is," Eric reassured him, his hand shifting down as he added "We just need to..." Eric was interrupted by the looks of Dylan's face, who was giving him the blushes and he asked Dylan "Hey Dylan? Are you feeling... Like, I don't know. In love?" Dylan looked surprised by what Eric questioned, Dylan showed a playful face and asked with a silly tone "Oh, I see... You like me more than a friend? Right?"

Eric admitted by nodding his head, he couldn't believe how long he has known Dylan for a very long time, he started having feelings for him when they were planning for the school shooting and ended up here in the flesh with his best friend in here, right now. "So... Are you like, feeling the same way?"

Dylan began thinking about it, he for sure liked Eric but more than a friend, now that Eric brought up his feelings and he answered "Yeah... More than a friend, this whole thing brought us closer and killing those people was like the best part of our relationship. Like, I like you Eric and at the same time, more than that."

At that moment, the two smiled at each other, gazing at each other's eyes before meeting their lips underneath the moonlight, their eyes closed with compassion and affection, enjoying their kiss as the sounds of waves from the river hit the rocks, the crickets making the night more fun and the millions of stars shining through the dark blue sky with the souls of the students and that one teacher remained in the sky, watching everything in an invisible sight.
