Chapter Text

It has been around 5 months since the battle of the labyrinth, and 5 months since Percy was forced to stay on Ogygia with Calypso for 2 weeks while his injuries healed. And even though it had been 5 months since that happened, he could still hear her voice and feel her touches. He hated it, it made him feel gross and disgusted and ashamed of himself. He was supposes to be a demigod, the son of one of the most powerful olympians. Yet he couldn't stop her from assaulting him. He felt so weak because of it, nothing like the general that the other campers made him out to be.

A knock on the door brought him out of his thoughts, he raised his head from the pillow he was laying on and quickly wiped his tears away. "Yeah?" He called out, his voice a little hoarse and shaky from the crying he was doing earlier.

"Mr. D wants to see you in the big house" a voice he recognised as Charles Beckendorf told him.

"Alright, be right there" He replied, taking a few minutes to make himself look presentable although he could tell he didn't do a very good job by the way that Beckendorf looked at him when he finally emerged from his cabin.

"Are you OK Percy?" The older boy asked, concern laced in his voice.

"Yea, I'm just a bit tired" Percy answered, trying to sound as convincing as possible. Beckendorf didn't look like he believed him but nodded anyway and started leading Percy to the big house.
As they walked he noticed the other campers glancing at him in worry. It made him feel annoyed and slightly sick. He didn't need their pity. He was fine. Sure, he was violated by a goddess who didn't respect him saying no to her and yes, he still sometimes feels her hands on him. But no-one else knows about it because he hasn't told anyone about it. And it's been 5 months since it happened and nothing else like it has happened since. So in his words he's perfectly fine. Before he knew it, they were standing in front of the big house. Percy distantly thought that he must've zoned out, he's been doing that a lot lately.

"I've got him Mr. D" Beckendorf announced as they stepped inside.

"Thank you, you can go now" Mr. D said, Beckendorf nodded and left him alone with the camp leader.

"Why did you want to see me?" Percy asked his older cousin.

"Take a seat Percy" Mr. D told him, gesturing to the couch across from him. 'He's never said my name right before' Percy thought, suspicious about what the god could be up to but he sat on the couch anyway.

"Are you OK μικρή ξαδέρφη?" The god asked him. Percy felt himself growing annoyed. 'This again? Why does everyone keep asking me that?' He thought to himself.

"I'm fine" He said, gritting his teeth.

"Don't lie to me παιδί της θάλασσας, it's obvious that you're not OK. I can tell that you're hurting but I can't help you if you don't tell me what's wrong" Mr. D told him with so much concern and sincerity in his tone. He didn't know what to do, he didn't know if he should tell him what happened to him with Calypso. He didn't want his cousin to be disgusted by him, he didn't want him to hate him. Before he knew it, his breaths were coming out in short bursts and his vision was blurry with tears.

"Can I touch you seashell?" Mr. D asked, suddenly kneeling in front of him. Percy hesitantly nodded, trusting that his cousin wouldn't do anything to hurt him. Mr. D gently took a hold of one of his hands and held it close to his chest so he could feel the gods heartbeat.

"Try to follow my breathing, OK?" The older said as he started to exaggerate his breaths to help Percy calm down. It took a while with how his breaths were stuttering and how every few minutes there were a fresh wave of tears but eventually with Mr. D's gentle reassurances Percy was able to calm down.

"You want a hug μικρή ξαδέρφη?" Mr. D asked and Percy didn't waste a second before nodding. Mr. D sat on the couch and brought the young teenager into his arms.

"You did so well μικρούλι, I'm proud of you" his older cousin mumbled into his hair before pressing a gentle kiss to his forehead. Percy buried his face in the gods chest, content with stating there where he felt safe and loved. After a few minutes, the camp counsellor gently grabbed Percy's chin and had him look him in the eyes.

"Can you tell me what happened μικρούλα? I know that it may hurt you to think about it but it might make you feel better if you talk about it, I only want to help you." Mr. D said, wiping some stray tears that were still falling down the boys face. After a few seconds of thinking, Percy decided that he would trust his cousin and tell him what he's been hiding for the past 5 months.

"So you know how I was on Ogygia for 2 weeks?" Percy started, feeling his heart beating rapidly in his chest as he thought about what Calypso made him go through. Mr. D nodded as a sign for him to continue. "Well when I was staying with Calypso she hurt me"

"Hurt you how?" Mr. D pressed, taking Percy's smaller hand in his when he noticed it start to shake.

"S-she hurt me in the worst way possible" Percy said, stuttering slightly and hoping that Mr. D would get the hint. And it seemed judging by the dark look in his eyes.

"She did what?!" He practically growled, Percy tensed, feeling scared as he'd never seen the god so angry before. Mr. D gently held Percy's face in his hands, his thumbs brushing over his cheeks in a comforting manner.

"Shhhh it's OK αγαπητέ, I'm not mad at you. I'm mad at that monster for what she did to you." Mr. D reassured him, bringing the boy into his arms again, holding him close as if to protect him from the cruelty of the world. The god thought about everything he could do to punish Calypso for what she'd done to his favourite camper, to his sweet baby cousin.

"Go to sleep now ωραιότατος, I'll protect you" Mr. D said as he rocked Percy back and forth and ran his hands gently through the young teenager's fluffy black hair. Percy tried to stiffle a yawn, not wanting to fall asleep just yet. But he was soon lulled into a dreamless sleep by the comfort of his older cousin's arms.
