You can be registered or a guest to place a request

Update: Closed

Notes:

I'm a high schooler a third of my way through the school year, so it'll take time to write stories. Especially if I get lots of requests, if I do, I will temporarily stop taking requests til I can finish the fanfics. I also may go on hiatus on occasion due to lacking motivation or ideas.

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Ships

Entity x Entity (minus Screech)

Entity x OC (I'm going to need a detailed description of the character, traits, appearance, personality, possible relationship status with the entities, etc)

OC x OC in DOORS universe (Same thing as the one above. I need details)

Entity x Reader

(Side note: I see some characters having a sibling-esque bond, but I can right it as a ship)

Let me know if I'm missing anything

Chapter 2: How Curious (Curious Light Centric Fic)

Summary:

Curious Light being Curious Light (Or at least how I thing they're personality would be)

This was a Curious Light fic requested by 2qutie

Notes:

I've never personally played 'The Rooms' let alone understand how they work, so please bear with me

(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)

Chapter Text

Curious Light sighed as they leaned against the skeleton door. It was so boring waiting for players to visit them. Especially since players rarely visited the rooms. So what if he wasn't as helpful as his counterpart: Guiding Light? Where's the fun if they just gave the answer away anyways.

They sighed as a familiar blue glow approached them before taking a physical appearance. Both lights looked similar, wearing what looked like a mix between a toga and robe. The only difference being their hair. Guiding Light's hair was long and whispy, the the end of a ghost. It also covered half of their right eye. Meanwhile, their hair looked like a long messy wolf-cut. Note to self: Ask for help when cutting hair.

"Good day, Curious. How are you?" GL asked.

"Meh. It could be better. Haven't had a human visit in a while. I had one come into the backroom a bit ago, but he didn't have the skull key," CL explained.

"Hmm... yes. I see what you mean. That human who looked like that Percy Jackson boy from the book series Figure just got from Jeff," GL remembered.

"How does that... thing even get stuff from the human world? Not even you can go beyond the void, let alone leave the realm," CL complained.

"Now now, Curious. There is no need for such rudeness. If it weren't for Jeff, some humans wouldn't have ever been able to escape. He carves the crucifixes that I enchant. He finds the pills and flashlights. And he made that skull key so-"

"So humans can enter my Rooms."

"Exactly. I myself don't understand how he can retrieve the items, but it is best we are grateful for his service and assistance," GL continued.

"Yeah. I get what you mean," CL shrugged.

"Also, don't interrupt me next time. It is quite rude," GL sighed.

"My bad. But also, kinda not sorry? Not everyone is as respectable as you are," CL replied.

"What is that supposed to-" GL pauses. "A human needs my assistance in the library."

With that, GL returned back into their twinkling stars form and phased through the wall. Leaving Curious Light alone once again.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A few minutes later, they heard footsteps. Quickly, they turned into their twinkling stars form, floating around the lock of the door to the Rooms. He called them the backrooms. But Guiding Light always got on their case about referring to it by it's proper name. Such a stickler for organization and things being proper.

The foots got closer as a voice spoke.

"Huh. Neat painting," quipped the voice. It sounded female. She was most likely referring to the nameless painting all saw upon entering their hidden alcove. They liked the painting. It made them feel important and like the center of attention, which was far from the truth when compared to Guiding Light. Always the more famous light. They were only remembered if brought up in conversation. They didn't hold it again Guiding Light, of course. Humans will be humans, and neither Lights had control of that. It was still annoying though.

The human rounded the corner, allowing Curious Light to get a good look at the human female. Her appearance was familiar yet unfamiliar. She looked like Ushka from... whatever that show or thing was called. They didn't care enough to remember the name. The only difference was she has much longer hair, it reaching her lower back. She also lacked the cat ears. And the sweater had a gray jacket over it. It was also the way she seemed to carry herself. She walked confidently, hand on her hip while the skeleton key was in her other hand. She had a confident expression, with a tinge of pride. Oh how they've seen that look a multitude of times.

They then looked up at her user name. Aphra. Odd name, but who were they to judge a human's name? Humans were strange creatures. Curious creatures, one could say. Sweet heavens, they sounded like Guiding Light.

They watched the human use both lock picks to undo the chains on the door before using the skeleton key. The door opened and Aphra stepped inside. This was going to quite interesting.

Notes:

Sorry if it was short

(Hope no one minds I made the lights both genderless since they're kinda just glowing lights. Just my personal Head Canon)

Chapter 3: Auncle Guiding Light (Guiding Light and Screech Centric Fic)

Summary:

Seek and Figure go to another dimension for a date, so Guiding Light is left in charge of Screech. Except Screech is not the easiest child to babysit for several reasons

This was a Guiding Light centric Fic requested by emorzeka

Warnings: This contains PTSD and mentions of war, skip chapter if these trigger you, and feel free to make a request if you want to see a fic without triggers

Notes:

My head-canon is the hotel is floating inside a void which basically in between dimensions, and the elevators acts as a bus basically

Also, and void storms are basically storms drifting in the void, sorta like hurricanes, typhoons, and whatever that third one is called that I'm too lazy to look up

Also also, the entities are semi-human but also not human. Yah get what I'm saying?

(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)

Chapter Text

Seek adjusted his bow-tie. He wore a light red long-sleeve dress shirt, red bow-tie, a black vest, dress pants, and dress shoes. He turned around and handed Figure his white, fluffy boa. Figure was wearing a long black dress that reached his just above his ankles. It had a slit on the left that went to his knee. The dress was a long sleeve and off shoulder with a white belt. He didn't wear shoes because they had nothing that matched and he would die in a matter of seconds on heels.

"You both look wonderful," Guiding Light said softly as Figure out on the boa.

"Thank you," Seek replied. "And again, thank you for agreeing to babysit Screech so we could do this."

"But of course. You both haven't had a chance to go out for a whole decade because of the players entering the hotel. The void resetting closed the elevator portal to our world temporarily so players won't be arriving til tomorrow at noon," GL explained, brushing some dust off their robes.

"Perfect. I've been saving up the diamonds and gold I've found on the players I've caught. I've been wanting to treat both of us to a fancy dinner. Who knew there was a world where humans murder other humans and even cook them?" Seek asked rhetorically.

"Oh heavens!" Guiding Light exclaimed. They fidgeted with their long flowy, yet firm, sleeves. "That sound... lovely..." Guiding Light had to force a polite smile and hold back their disgust. They understood the entities needed to eat and humans were the only things they could eat. But they couldn't help but be repulsed. The idea of eating or cooking another creature while it's still alive sounded monstrous. Which made sense since they were monsters. So does that mean crustaceans perceive humans as monsters?

Seek could see Guiding Light's unease and laughed. "I'm joking! We're going to a sushi place," he chuckled.

"Oh thank heavens..." They sighed, smoothing down their whispy locks.

The elevator dinged as it arrived and opened. Figure tapped Seek's shoulder before pointing to the elevator with a soft growl.

"One second, Figure," replied, patting his hand. "Anyways, you remember the rules, yes?"

"Of course," Guiding Light responded as they pulled out a list. "He may only have one treat after dinner and must be in bed by 9. You're quite lenient with rules."

"Well, for a child, he's sorta mature, but also not really," Seek huffed.

"You have no need to worry. I can handle anything," Guiding Light stated softly.

"I know you can handle things, but I should let you know that Screech-" Seek was unable to finish his sentence when Figure picked him up like a potato sack and into the elevator, seconds before closing.

"Enjoy your date!" Guiding Light exclaimed, regardless if they could hear them or not.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Screech chuckled as he hopped out of another closet before Hide could shove him out. He enjoyed annoying the other entities and pestering them for attention. Sure, he could always bug Seek and Figure, but they were busy half the time because they kept the hotel in check, making sure the entities weren't arguing over stupid stuff, which he commonly did with Rush. The tall, speedy jerk. The same thing applied to Guiding Light and especially them. They had to juggle a lot. Keeping the humans alive with an 11% success rate, helping the players find keys, books, and other things, and making sure the other entities stayed sane. His thoughts were quickly interrupted by Hide shoving him out of another closet.

"Go pester someone else, you little... pest!" Hide huffed in an annoyed tone before slamming the doors shut.

"Fine! Be that way," Screech replied as he rubbed his face, which was a bad idea as he had gotten a rug burn on his right cheek.

"Screech, you know intentionally annoying the other entities will only result in someone, specifically you, getting hurt in some way," Guiding Light explained softly as they stepped through the hallway door.

Whatever, Auncle GL..." Screech muttered, rubbing his cheek, wincing as he forgot about his rug burn.

"Come here, youngling," Guiding Light said softly, gesturing Screech over.

"I'm not a baby..." Screech muttered as he walked over. He stood in front of Guiding Light as they gently placed a hand on his cheek with a gentle touch of magic. "Thanks."

"Of course. Now, I'm sure Seek informed you I will be taking care of you, yes?" Guiding Light asked.

"Oh yeah, he did," Screech replied, scratching a bit of magic residue dust off his cheek.

"What do you want to do first?" Guiding Light inquired.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Guiding Light chuckles as Screech reached for the bubble but missed due to his height. Guiding Light dipped the stick in the solution again, took a deep breath, and exhales, creating several bubbles. Screech chuckles as one landed on his forehead and he began popping the bubbles. Oh, to be a child. It was a shame Screech shunned his own childish behaviors simply because Rush taunted him regularly and it embarrassed him when others commented on how his hobbies were childish. Screech is a child, but he also isn't. The poor dear made himself try and act mature so he'd be taken seriously by the other entities.

"C'mon Guiding Light. You gonna blow more bubbles or what?" Screech asked, snapping Guiding Light from their thoughts.

"Oh, yes. My mistake," Guiding Light chuckled as they blew more bubbles, which Screech popped.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"¡Hola amigos!" El Goblino laughed as Guiding Light floated into the room, followed by Screech.

"Good day, El Goblino. Is Jeff here?" Guiding Light asked.

"Oye! Jeffe! Our amigo, GL, need ya!" El Goblino called out.

Jeff's shop opened as Jeff laid his stock out.

"My name's Jeff," Jeff said with a happy tone.

"Hello to you too, Jeff. I love the upgrade to the shop. So colorful and inviting," Guiding Light chuckled. It very much was. They had heard from a few humans about the renovations in the safe zone of Jeff's shop, but they couldn't imagine it to be anything like this. Screech then pulled on their sleeve.

"You said you weren't going to make small talk, Auncle GL," Screech muttered. He hated when adults made small talk because they'd end up forgetting he was there.

"Oh, right. Jeff, could we borrow your radio for an activity, please?" GL requested.

"What are you two up too?" El Goblino asked.

"We're playing freeze dance," Screech responded.

"Oh. Isn't that game... what do you say... childish?" El Goblino questioned.

"No it isn't! Shut up!" Screech snapped, which came off more like a puppy barking.

"Language, Screech," GL reprimanded.

"My name's Jeff," Jeff spoke with a casual tone.

"I see. One moment," GL said, holding a finger up before turning to Screech. "Jeff said we can borrow his radio for our game, but it has to stay in the room."

"Ugh... well now I don't wanna do it. Especially if they're around," Screech huffed, gesturing to Jeff, El Goblino, and Bob.

"If if makes you less embarrassed, amigo, we can join in. Right, Bob?" El Goblino asked, looking at his skeleton friend.

"..."

"Bob agrees with me. What do you, GL?" El Goblino asked.

"I think it's a wonderful idea," GL replied.

"I don't get why you talk to that skeleton. It isn't like he's alive," Screech mumbled, rolling his eyes."

Bob's head turned to Screech as the jaw bone moved on its own. "Says who?" he asked.

Silence before Screech broke it.

"What the fu-!"

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"I've sat here and posed for almost 10 minutes, may I please see the product?" Guiding Light asked as Screech held his "portrait" of Guiding Light. Rush was also there, but forget him, he ain't important. Screech then handed the picture to Guiding Light while Rush looked over their shoulder and nearly died on the spot, holding back a laugh.

"Is this suppose to be me?" Guiding Light asked, pointing to the blue 4-points stars on the paper. How did it take Screech 10 minutes to draw them? Why did he draw them? He wasn't even in his star form. They looked down at Screech, who looked a bit ashamed. Well, they certainly couldn't have that.

"No, no. It's nice. It's so nice. I've never looked better," they said in an attempt to comfort the small entity. "Where... Where were you doing when it was time to paint me and the Lights family portrait?"

"But why is Rush laughing?" Screech asked, still embarrassed at him lack of art skills.

"Rush doesn't know what he's talking about. That's how you say that's a good drawing in sleazeball."

Rush just continued laying on the floor as he died laughing, getting a well deserved kick to the ass by Guiding Light.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Rain pounded against the window like pellets as Guiding Light tucked Screech in bed.

"C'mon, Auncle GL. I don't wanna go to sleep," Screech said. He didn't wanna sleep. He was genuinely having fun for once. The bubbles, the board games, Freeze Dance, hopscotch, portraits, and a fort. He never got to do that stuff with anyone. Except Seek and Figure, but it was usually short and a single game since they were always busy. At least the nightly bedtime stories were an exception.

"No, Screech. Your bedtime is 7:45. It's currently 8:30 as of now. Growing boys need sleep," Guiding Light said as they closed the book of fairy-tales, having just finished "Snow White". Sure, it was childish and princessy, but strangely it was Screech's favorite. And who were they to argue? "Now, I read you a bedtime story, got you a glass of water, and..." Guiding Light picks up an old teddy bear with mismatched eyes and a plaid patch on its torso. "And your teddy bear. It's time for you to go to sleep, now."

"Will Seek and Figure hug me goodnight when they get back?" Screech asked as he laid back down.

"I'm sure they will. I'll let them know as well," Guiding Light replied as they turned on his old battery powered fan.

"Auncle GL?" Screech asked.

"Yes?"

"Thank you. For playing all those games with me. I really had a lot of fun."

Guiding Light chuckled.

"I'm glad you had fun. But now, it is rest time. Goodnight, Screech," they replied as they hit the lights off and left, leaving the door cracked open.

"Goodnight, Auncle GL..." Screech mumbled as the warmth softness of his bed and exhaustion from fun consumed him.

CRACKA-BOOM!

Screech shot up in bed with a yelp and gasp and thunder boomed and lightning flashed outside his window. His body locked up and the rain pummeled his window. He quickly looked around and grabbed a broom and bike helmet left beside his bed. His quickly put the helmet and held the broom like it was a rifle, hugging it against his chest. Not Safe. He wasn't safe.

He quickly and quietly ran from his station (room.) He walked down the path (hall) and stopped, scanning the open area of grass (room.) After assessing and seeing he was in the clear, he continued running. He made his way to the abandoned house (library,) where he quietly slipped inside. He hid behind a bookshelf as an enemy soldier (Glitch) exited through the front door he had just come through. He quickly made his way to his bunker (fort) and crawled inside. He grabbed a blanket and wrapped it around him as there was another explosion in the distance of the wood (thunder outside the window.) He was trembling as he did his best to keep himself from hyperventilating.

"I'm safe. I'm safe. I'm safe." Screech repeated to himself as he held onto the broom tighter. He jolted and hit the deck, holding tight to his helmet, as there was another loud explosion.

CRACKA-BOOM!

"Screech? Are you here?" Guiding Light said softly as they turned on Screech's bedroom light. They had heard him make a sound of fear a few minutes ago while they were talking Seek over the phone, who was on his way back to the hotel with Figure. They had to hang up but didn't want to worry Seek and Figure so they resorted to lying and saying Rush broke something. They hated lying.

They noticed how his blankets were tossed aside like he was in a hurry. They picked up his teddy bear, which had fallen on the floor, and took it with them to go find him. Soon, they passed by Glitch. They asked the entity if Screech had been seen by the entity, but unfortunately, Glitch hadn't. Guiding Light nodded with a thank you before continuing to look for the young entity.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

'This had to be the last main area,' Guiding Light thought to themself as the phased through the library door. They had checked Seek and Figure's shared room, the other entities rooms, every dark room, the basement area where they found Timothy but he hadn't seen Screech either.

"Screech? Are you here?" GL called out once again as they floated past the book shelves. That's when they felt it. Waves of fear and anxiety. Quickly recognizing them as Screech's feelings, they floated over to where they were coming from.

The pillow fort. How did they not think of that first? They floated over to the fort and sat on their knees before gently and slowly opening the curtain. "Screech?"

Screech was curled up in a ball, holding the broom like his life depended on it while his helmet was titled, slightly covering one eye. Upon seeing Guiding Light, Screech aimed the broom at them like it was a gun.

Gently and slowly, Guiding Light lowered the tip of the broom and offered Screech his teddy bear.

Screech hesitantly set down the broom and took the bear, which he quickly squeezed. He inhaled the scent and exhaled. it smell like dust but also a hint of vanilla bean, which helped him relax.

"Are you okay with me being near you?" Guiding Light asked.

Screech nodded and GL crawled into the fort.

"Are you okay with me touching you?" Guiding Light asked again.

Screech shook his head and GL simply nodded.

"You really like that teddy bear, don't you?"

Screech nodded before speaking a shake voice. "I-It was a birthday present from Dad and Mama..."

"That was nice of them. I take it Figure out in the vanilla scent packet?" GL asked.

"Ya. Mama said it'd help be focus whenever I had bad dreams..." Screech replied, fidgeting with one of the button eyes.

"Was that what happened? A nightmare?" GL asked once again.

No answer came from Screech. Touchy subject, noted.

"Do you need anything?" GL asked.

Screech shook his head. He could be fine without a cookie or glass of warm milk. He just didn't want to be alone.

"How about a story? I'll stay by your side until you fall asleep," GL suggested.

"Okay."

Chapter Text

"So... what exactly happened?" Eyes asked.

Guiding Light sighed as Figure held Seek up in air jail. His eye was red and looked irritated, just like Seek's expression did.

"I'm not sure, honestly speaking," GL sighed. "From what I know, Seek has apparently caught a bug or virus. Not the computer code, which is a shame since Glitch would be able to fix it in a jiffy. So far, the symptoms we've seen are as listed."

  • Fever
  • Joint Pains
  • Chills
  • Sore Throat
  • Headaches
  • Dry Coughs and Heaving-

Guiding Light was interrupted by Seek throwing up some of the goop he was made off before melting out of Figure's hands, into a puddle, and seeming into the floorboards.

"Oh for fu-" GL coughs loudly, catching themself from using profanity. "By the heavens, not again. He keeps throwing up as well. And whenever we try to make him rest, he just melts and disappears. I am beginning to become quite worried."

"So? What does that have to do with me?" Eye questioned.

"I am in understanding that you're both friends, no?" GL questioned back.

"Yeah... friends..." Eyes murdered in a strained tone. Even if it wasn't Seek telling him, it still hurt being friend-zoned.

"I was hoping you could speak to him. Please, Eyes?" GL asked softly, in a begging and sickly-sweet tone that could even anyone but Seek melt. That included Eyes.

"I mean, I could try," Eyes mumbled, semi-agreeing.

"Thank you," GL replied before phasing through the floor, heading off to find Seek once again.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Seek? You here?" Eyes called out as he walked through the halls. Why in the void was this hotel so big with so many rooms? He knew it had a lot of rooms because it was a hotel but it was still bothersome. Maybe he could randomly guess a room and hope he's right? Wait, didn't Seek have a favorite number and room? It was... 89! The courtyard! Eyes ran as fast as his legs could carry him. He ran past Halt who was sipping his coffee and passed Rush who was teasing Timothy.

"86... 87... 88... 89!" he exclaimed as he pushed the door open. Thunder rumbled faintly as rain poured on the roof of the... patio? Hallway? He had no idea what the thing was called. Thunder rumbled softly in the distance as he walked through the courtyard. As he walked, he stepped on a piece of confetti.

The entities couldn't remember their human birthdays, nor was time really a thing in the hotel so thanks to Jeff'd help, they got a clock installed in the library and a calendar from the current year in the human dimension. The current year was 2040 in said dimension. He arrived in 1955. Figure was the oldest, arriving in 1939 while Sally/Windows was the youngest, arriving in 1967. They had all selected a random day to be their birthday to have some sense of what little humanity remained inside of them.

Just last week, they had Screech's birthday in the courtyard. He was 95 in human years, but they more or less stopped aging when they became monsters. Screech still acted like the 11 year old he was when he first arrived. For once, it wasn't raining in the courtyard. They had set up a medieval birthday party. Snacking on lady fingers (real ones) and drinking human blood from mugs. (GL just had water and snack bars. And Rush somehow got his hands on a mug of beer. Still no idea how he got his hands on it.) Screech loved it. Thanks to Jeff, once again, they had gotten the materials to make Screech presents. GL made him a jack in the box while Seek made him two sets of wooden swords and shields.

"Achoo!"

Speak of the devil...

Eyes walked over to the warrior angel statue where Seek was standing, his hand on the pedestal with the wingding plate. He couldn't tell if he lost in thought or just using it to hold himself up. Judging by the faded look of Seek's eye and his hunched form, he was safe to assume it was both.

"Seek?"

"Eyes...? Oh, hey, buddy...!" Seek said in a slightly loopy voice.

That set off alarm bells is Eyes... head? Eyes? Whatever. Seek never acted like this. He was always so in control and stoic. Aspects the entity had the he quite admired.

"Seek? You okay?" Eyes asked, his voice uncertain.

"Oh... yeah! I'm ffffffine..." Seek chuckled.

"Okay, then quit leaning on the pedestal."

"Fine. I will," Seek replied, removing his hand. Two seconds later, he was on the ground, face first.

"Oh crude- you okay?" Eyes asked, quickly walking over and helping him up, wrapping one of Seek's arms over his shoulder.

"You keep... asking me that..." Seek pointed out.

"Oh." Eyes was quite for a minute before speaking up. "Look... Seek. I'm not sure why you're against resting. I'd ask you but you clearly aren't in the right mind space. But... the other entities are worried about you. I'm worried about you. As your... friend, I want to make sure you're doing okay. Like you do with me, and the other entities, but mostly me for some reason. I get you're a stubborn bastard. Which I'll admit, is endearing. But as you're friend and fellow entity, please rest. For me?"

Eyes looked up at Seek only to see he was spacing out.

"Did you say something...?" Seek asked, his throat hoarse.

"Oh for fucks sake!" Eyes snapped.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Eyes reapplied a wet cloth to Seek's forehead as GL floated in with another glass of water, fever reducers, and bowl of cream & mushroom soup.

"Thanks for helping out, Eyes," GL said softly as the set the supplies on the side table.

"Really, it wasn't an issue. I was happy to help," Eye replied as he coaxed Seek's throat to help him swallow the pills followed by the water. "The soup smells good. You make it?"

"No. Timothy actually made it with Figure's help. It was like a scene right out of Ratatouille," GL joked as they blew on the soup.

"Out of what?"

"Nevermind."

"I think I'm looking at an angel..." Seek murmured. That caught both entities of guard.

"Say what now?" Eyes asked.

"It's probably all your eyes. According to some humans, biblically accurate angels had several eyes," GL replied.

"Oh."

"Anyways, I'll leave you too it."

"Okay. Bye GL."

"Good day to you, Eyes."

Right after GL left, Eyes looked back at Seek. He rested his hand on the entity's head, checking his temperature. When he pulled his hand back, Seek's hand grabbed his.

"Your hand is cold..." Seek muttered, his throat dry as a desert.

"Don't strain yourself by speaking," Eye replied, concern etched into his face. He kept his hand on Seek's face to help the entity cool off before resoaking the cloth and reapplying it to his forehead.

"Hey... Eyes...?" Seek spoke softly as eyes fed him a spoon of soup.

"Yes?" Eyes replied.

"I like you... And that isn't the fever talking..." Seek admitted.

"Sure it isn't. Just get some rest," Eyes replied, silently struggling to keep his excitement under control. They're relationship, platonic or maybe not, could wait until Seek was better. And he was going to make sure he got better.

It was suppose to be a confession story, but it sort of went of track, it's there at the very end though

Chapter 5: They Can Get Hurt/Sick? (Guiding Light x Glitch)

"I can't believe I agreed to this," Glitch huffed as he tapped his foot. He held a stop watch as Rush and Ambush got into position.

"I get the most kills cause I'm the fastest. There's no way you're beating me," Rush bragged with a smirk.

"First of all, you get the most kills because humans are stupid. You mostly get noobs just starting and humans distracted in the darkness of the green house or because they're avoiding Eyes and don't see the lights flicker. Secondly, we're the same speed. I only agreed to this race to watch you take a hit to your ego," Ambush retorted with an explanation.

"Ugh... can we get this over with already, entities? I only agreed to this because nothing's going on in the void and GL isn't here," Glitch ranted as he held up the stopwatch.

"I thought it was because Rush offered you his next kill's heart," Ambush pointed out, confused.

"Meh. I didn't really care. I think the intestines are the best," Rush said with a shrug.

"Yeah. Because you eat them like noodles. The brain is the best. It's firm but soft in some spots," Ambush argued.

"Course you like the brain, considering you lack any brain cells," Rush quipped.

"You're one to talk," Ambush replied, rolling his eyes.

"Girl, Girls. You're both pretty. You can go now. 3 2 1, screw off," Glitch said in an annoyed tone as he pressed start on the stop watch. Both entities, not expecting the quick start, quickly bolted through Door 1. They dodged shelves, bookshelves, the debris that Glitch had yet to reset from Seek's last chase sequence, more book shelves library, and so on.

"How do you know when to press stop?" Screech asked, popping out of nowhere.

"Halt's helping," Glitch answered as he glitched the stop watch to Halt all the way at Door 100. "He'll hit stop when they get there."

"Oh. That makes sense," Screech said with a blank face. :/ "So... where Auncle GL?" Screech asked.

"How the fuck should I now? I don't keep track of where they go or what they do. They've been disappearing every Sunday around lunch for the past month," Glitch bitched.

"You say you don't keep track of them yet you know when they leave," Screech pointed out with a sly grin.

"You little- beat it, ya tiny brat," Glitch grouched. "Don't you have someone to annoy and pester?"

"Nope! Seek is reading some medical textbooks, Figure is taking a nap, and everyone else is doing something important," Screech explained.

"Just my luck," Glitch huffed.

"So... what time does Auncle GL usually get back?" Screech asked curiously.

"Hm... Normally, they'd be back by now," Glitch noted, as he looked over to at the elevator. "They'd usually pop out of the elevator-" Glitch was interrupted by the elevator and the faint glow of Guiding Light's body falling out of the elevator.

"Auncle GL!" Screech screeched.

"Shit! Screech, get Seek or Figure! Just get a responsible adult!" Glitch ordered as he ran over to check on Guiding Light. Screech said nothing and bolted through Door 1 to look for one of the three entities. Glitch crouched beside GL and helped them onto their hands and knees before the spirit threw up blue glowing matter with bits of some purple fly. Glitch helped GL off the floor, though they were still hunched over. He then led them over to a couch and sat them down before offering the light a trash bin.

"Guiding Light, what happened to you?" Glitched asked, concerned and genuinely showing it.

"I forgot not to accept Kiyoku's sushi..." GL groaned as they threw up in the bin again.

"Who? And what sushi?" Glitch asked confused.

"I'll explain it later..." GL mumbled.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

"DAD! MAMMA! Dad! Mamma!" Screech yapped loudly as he burst into the library. Seek, whose non-existent nose was in a book, and Figure, who was napping peacefully on a couch, were both startled.

"Shh, Screech. Inside voice," Seek reprimanded.

"Fuck that! Something's wrong with Auncle GL!" Screech exclaimed, panickingly stomping his feet at a fast pace.

"First of all, Language," Seek reprimanded again. "Second of all. Explain, slowly, what happened."

"Well, I was talking to Glitch in the lobby about Auncle GL when, speaking of the devil, they fell out of the elevator. Their glow was super faded and they looked sick," Screech explained.

"Hmm... I'll deal with it, Figure. You can go back to sleep. I can handle this," Seek exclaimed to Figure. Figure simply nodded as he fluffed up his pillow and laid back down. "Let's go, Screech."

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Glitch held back Guiding Light's hair as they threw up a 3rd time. Every time they threw up, their glow flickered. It was very concerning to him.

"I got Dad!" Screech exclaimed as he ran into the lobby, with Seek walking behind him.

"Screech filled me in about the situation," Seek explained shortly as he sat beside.

"They threw up three times. They're also really warm and holding their stomach," Glitch quickly explained.

"They're pregante?!" Screech exclaimed. All three entities stared at him before Guiding Light threw up again in the bin.

"It sound's like food poisoning," Seek stated as Glitch offered GL a water bottle.

"They did mention something about 'Kiyoku's sushi' but I have no idea who that is," Glitch mentioned.

"Kiyoku is a dimensional devourer..." Guiding Light croaked. "He brought sushi for today's meeting but I forgot to not eat any..."

"Bad sushi?" Seek questioned.

"Bad sushi..." GL confirmed.

"Well, the only thing we can do is wait it out. I'll talk to Jeff and see if he can grab anything from the human dimension to help you and your stomach. Glitch, I'll need you to watch over them since you're the only one who can get into Guiding Light's living space," Seek explained.

"Wait, I thought Auncle GL lived in a bedroom like we did?" Screech said, confused.

"No. Guiding Light, Curious Light, and Mischievous Light all have their own astral rooms floating around in the void with their own magic barriers, like the one around the hotel. The only way to get it is through teleportation, one of the Light's taking you, or-" Seek explained before Glitch interrupted.

"Or glitching in. Which I am on. I'll take GL to their room while you talk to Jeff. I'll check back in an hour for the stuff," Glitch stated before glitching himself and GL to Guiding Light's room.

"Heavens, I hate it when he interrupts me," Seek mumbled.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Glitch picked up the pillow and fluffed it up before setting it under GL's back. GL laid at a 45 degree angle In case they needed to throw up again.

"Need me to do anything else?" Glitch asked.

"No, Glitchy. I'm alright," Guiding Light said as Glitch put a wet cloth on their forehead. "Really, you've done enough. You fluffed my pillows, organized my Squish-mellow collection, and got me a few things to eat that'll help my stomach relax." Guiding Light gestures to the Jello, vanilla yogurt, and applesauce on their side table.

"I wasn't sure what you'd like so I just got you the sweet things Jeff had," Glitch explained as they handed GL a pill and glass of water. GL took the pill and followed it with a sip of water. "Look, I'm sorry for getting worried. I just... I didn't know you were able to get sick. You've never gotten sick."

"I may be a being of light, but even we can get occasional ill," GL chuckled.

"So... you're a... peace keeper of dimensions or something?" Glitch asked.

"I'm a multiversal diplomat. I help at meetings and keep fights from breaking out. Which, happens on the regular. Mainly between Bonnie and Kiyoku, arguing over food. And don't get me started about Red and Mr. Potato arguing about science," GL sighed.

"Well... I'm here if you want to vent," Glitch offered.

"I'd like that, Glitchy. I'd like that very much," Guiding Light replied with a smile.

Chapter 6: Closet Cuddles (Jack x Hide)

Summary:

Confession fluff to sum it up

Notes:

For context in the fic, I head-canon that Figure is not just blind, but also mute. With his head being his entire mouth, I kind just feel like he can't really move his mouth so he can't talk besides growls and other sounds

Chapter Text

Screech chuckled as he hopped out of another library closet before Hide could shove him out. He found this game an entertaining pass-time whenever the other entities were busy.

"You're too slow!" Screech laughed.

"You're such an annoying little pest!" Hide hissed. "Quit bugging me!"

"Why don't you make me~?" Screech taunted as he hopped in another closet. Hide growled as he faded into the darkness of the closet and reappeared out of the darkness of the closet Screech was in. He attempted to shove Screech again but missed as Screech hopped out.

"Missed me, missed me, haters gonna hate me," Screech taunted again, doing a little mock victory dance and shaking his butt at Hide. (Not twerking, mind you)

Screech reached for another closet door only to be met by a loud jump-scare from Jack.

"REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!" Screech shrieked, before falling backwards and landing on his back.

Jack laughed as he looked down at the frozen stiff entity. Hide had been complaining to him all week about Screech's high-jinks and he wanted to help. And he was also bored and wanted to jump-scare another entity just for the fun of it. Spooking Screech was killing two birds with one stone.

"Got you, got you, now it's time for you to shoo," Jack taunted back. Screech didn't say anything, still paralyzed with fear. "Oh please, I didn't scare you that badly, ya big baby." Jack rolled his eyes.

Heavy footsteps walked over as Figure came to investigate what had happened. He had heard Screech's scream and Jack's laughing so he could assume what happened. Figure made a soft growl as he checked on Screech.

"I'm okay, Mamma..." Screech mumbled as he gave a weak thumbs up.

Figure nodded before turning his head towards Jack, with a disapproving growl.

"Oh come on, Fig-Tree. The kid had it coming," Jack argued.

"I appreciated the help, Jack. But that was a bit much," Hide argued.

Figure growled in agreement before picking up Screech like a mama gorilla would and leaving.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jack got settled in the beanie bag chair beside Hide's while Hide adjusted his own position, being mindful of his tail.

"It was just a jump-scare. I don't see how it was 'going too far' or whatever. The little pest deserved it anyways," Jack defended as Hide handed him a teacup.

"I appreciate it, Jack. And while I do agree, the little shit needed his comeuppance, scaring him hard enough to temporarily paralyze him is a bit overkill. He is still a child after all," Hide explained as he poured them both tea. "But his scream was pretty funny, I'll admit." Both entities sip their tea quietly before Jack continues the conversation.

"Ya, maybe I did go overboard, but it wasn't like you were going to be able to do anything, since you're confined to the closets and your pocket dimension we're in," Jack said before sipping his tea. "Earl Grey?"

"Earl Grey," Hide confirmed as he sipped his tea with one set of arms and put his hair in a ponytail with his other. "Anyways, I do appreciate the help."

"No problem, Hidey-Hole," Jack said with a smirk and finger gun.

"That has to be the worst nickname you've come up with yet," Hide chuckled.

"Well, unlike Fig-Tree and Shadz, your name is only four letters so it's kinda hard to make a nickname for ya. How about 'cupcake' or 'creme-puff?'" Jack joked. Hide laughed at those nicknames.

"Are you dropping hints about sweets you want Seek to make or are you attempting to flirt with me?" Hide laughed. Jack blushed a bit and sipped his tea, happy that the darkness of Hide's pocket dimension hid his face. "Continuing our original topic, I appreciate the help with Screech. I also appreciate you spending time with me. Most humans forget I exist, which applies to the other entities. Minus, Screech." That brought the mood down a bit.

Hide was normally forgotten about since he didn't really interact with the other entities or humans, unless either were in his closets too long. Hide liked his privacy and quiet time, which was why he didn't like others in his closets. But even he could get occasionally lonely. That's where Jack came in. Jack enjoyed making jokes and scaring others, like Screech did but was less annoying and tended to go overboard with his jump-scares. They had formed a symbiotic relationship which bloomed into a friendship. Jack would spook off others from Hide's closets and keep him company, in exchange, Hide would listen to his jokes and stories of his scaring the other entities and humans.

For Jack though, that friendship bloomed into a one-sided crush. What about Hide was there not to like? He looked like Seek, but was way more attractive in his opinion. Seek was boring, with his fancy turtleneck and pridefulness. Hide was interesting, with his oversized, soft hoodies and down to earth personality. Not to mention his two sets of arms which he imagined wrapped around him while cuddling and running his hands through Hide's voluminous, silky hair. It smelled like fresh laundry, like Hide's hoodies, and he had grown to love the scent.

"Void to Jack. Hello?" Hide asked, pulling Jack from his thoughts.

"Huh? Oh! Um... did you say something?" Jack asked, awkwardly sipping his tea.

"No. You've just been staring at me for the past 3 minutes," Hide explained with a slight chuckle in his voice.

"Oh shit- my bad-" Jack began to apologize but was quickly stopped by Hide's hand.

"No, no. It's fine. I've just noticed lately that you tend to stare at me quite a bit whenever we aren't speaking," Hide explained again as he sipped his tea, before setting it off to the side. "is there something on your mind, Jack?"

"You," Jack blurted without thinking.

"Pardon?" Hide asked, surprised as he moved his hand from in front of Jack's face.

Jack covered his own mouth when he realized he said that out loud. Welp, he just exposed himself. it was now or never. Jack took a deep breath before uncovering his mouth and speaking.

"Hide... there's been something I've been meaning to talk to you about something for... a while now. I haven't had the courage to because I didn't want to ruin or spoil the moment we were having. But I sorta just did that so I'm telling you now. We've been hanging out a lot these past few months and during that time I've grown... feelings for you. I get it if you want to decline and stay friends and I totally get that. I just needed it off my chest," Jack confessed.

He looked at Hide's face, trying to get an idea of what he was feeling. He looked confused, then looked like he was thinking before his eyes widened, and his lips twitched up. Jack was surprised when his ears were graced by the sound of Hide's laughter. Wait, laughter?

Hide was laughing quite loudly, which he rarely did since it echoed quite loudly in his pocket dimension. Did Hide think he was joking? Was Hide laughing at his confession? He thought he sounded pretty mature.

"Is that why you keep coming up with ridiculous nicknames for me?" Hide laughed.

"Hah?" Jack said confused. "Wait, wait. So you aren't laughing at my confession?"

"No, no, no. I'd never. It's just..." Hide pauses as he regains his breath and relaxes himself. "Is that why you keep coming up with so many nicknames for me? Where you trying to drop hints for me?"

"Well... yeah," Jack replied.

"Seek always did say I was quite the oblivious entity..." Hide chuckled.

"So... what do you think?" Jack asked.

"Jack, you're the closest thing I've ever had to a friend. Sure, I get along with the other entities, but I get along the most with you. I've always thought I was a bit boring with how mundane I act, with the tea and hoodies. But you bring out parts of me that I can't. My laughter. When I'm trying to get at is, I accept your confession. And I feel the same way," Hide confessed back.

"Really?" Jack asked.

"Yes, really," Hide replied.

"Really really?" Jack asked.

"Yes, really really," Hide replied.

"Really really really?" Jack asked.

"Okay, quit it. That's not funny," Hide replied, with a hint of annoyance but also enjoyment.

"C'mon, Hidesy. You like it when I'm endearingly annoying," Jack joked.

"Hmm... I prefer Creme Puff. It's cuter, and it just sounds right," Hide stated.

"O-Oh. Cool beans, Creme Puff..." Jack said awkwardly.

"You done?" Hide asked.

"Yes please," Jack replied.

"It's nothing, Jack in the box," Hide joked back with a kiss on the cheek. But Jack had turned his head to reply to Hide's joke, which ended up with them kissing each other. Both were surprised, but neither pulled away. They shared a sweet, gentle kiss before both pulled away.

"That was... nice," Hide admitted.

"Yeah. It was..." Jack admitted back. Hide yawned as the tea he drank made him tired.

"We could... cuddle, if you want," Jack suggested.

"That sounds nice," Hide replied. He got up and moved onto Jack's lap, giving him a peck on the lips before resting his head on his chest. Hide's arms wrapped around Jack in a double tight hug while Jack hesitantly ran his fingers through Hide's hair. Holy crap, this what what he was hoping for.

"Gay," Dupe said, poking his head in the pocket dimension.

"Fuck off, Dupe!" Hide exclaimed. Jack just laughed.
