Chapter 1: Oh, I Actually Like Them?!
Chapter Text
Students clamored out of the classroom, each one of them off to attend to their own agendas. Although Baji was still stuck up on his homework, his ridiculous 'nerd' get-up did no justice to his poorly written essay. As the boy was strictly focused on 'Reasons Smoking Causes Cancer', loud laughter filled the room. Baji immediately shifted his attention from the ink on paper towards soft chuckles accompanied by cackles.
"Baji-san!" An excited blonde sat himself down opposite Baji as another's arm snaked around his shoulder. Kazutora took a seat beside Chifuyu. "Baji-san, Kazutora was telling me about-"
Baji no longer had any concern for the damn essay, his focus solely on the two pretty boys in front of him. Chifuyu was chattering about the supposedly amusing encounter Kazutora had on his way to their school. Said boy was snickering away, his bell earring making faint jingles; his arm was still around Chifuyu's shoulder although his gaze was locked on Baji's face.
The bright afternoon sunlight passed through the window and onto Chifuyu's beautiful face, making him glow as if he wasn't already a glowing angel sent from heaven. Baji was finding it hard to focus on the conversation at hand with him. The tattooed boy beside him wasn't making it easier. Although there was no visible emotion shown on his face, Baji's heart was beating fast as Kazutora continued to stare at him with charming, golden eyes. Those eyes had always been a certain weakness for Baji that he refused to say out loud.
Drifting around in his thoughts as the two boys chatted amongst themselves Baji wondered for a second how it would be pure bliss if he could lean across the table and plant soft kisses on those kissable lips of his best friends.
"-arcade later, Keisuke?" A smooth voice cut sharply through his daydreams. "What?" He tilted his head, a little embarrassed at being called out.
"I asked if you're down to hang around the arcade later?" Kazutora repeated, his relaxed face not showing any sign of annoyance. Next to him, Chifuyu was looking at him expectantly. Baji replied with his signature grin, "Of course!"
Chifuyu nodded and laughed but Kazutora seemed to have a suspecting thought in his eyes as he stared at Baji. Chifuyu soon finished ranting about the newest manga series he was reading. He got up from his seat, squeezing his way across Kazutora, and left with the excuse of having to meet up with Ryusei.
"Baji-san, I'll meet you and Kazutora near the arcade later ok?" He informed with a huge smile on his face. Kazutora and Baji simultaneously responded affirmatively. The blonde left with a huger smile leaving Baji and Kazutora alone.
The two had been friends since they were kids and there never was a single time that they felt awkward with one another but today was different; the air was thick and Kazutora's stares were intense.
"You were staring Kei." Kazutora leaned back into his chair, crossing his arms around his chest which revealed a short peek of his collarbone. Baji felt like a man in the Victorian era who just caught a glimpse of his wife's ankle. "Whatcha mean?" Baji was quick to shoot back a response, all while maintaining his composure. Nevertheless, Baji most certainly knew what he meant. He was so sure of it. It was painstakingly obvious but he would rather die than admit it.
"Fuyu. You couldn't keep your eyes off him." Kazutora's lips formed a cheeky smirk. He was sly and knew how to push people's buttons. "I-" Baji knew what a sneaky little shit Kazutora was but somehow the accusation still caught him off-guard.
"No."
"Yes, I saw it."
"You saw no shit." Baji shifted in his chair, removing his thick glasses and glaring at his long-time friend whom he had a crush on. How did he notice the way he looks at Chifuyu but not at him?
"It's obvious you like him, Kei." Kazutora chuckled, quite delighted to know this weakness.
"No I don't." Baji was as stubborn as he was prideful and Kazutora knew that too damn well.
"Your pride will kill you," Kazutora turned his face towards the window just in time to spot Ryusei poking at an agitated Chifuyu near the school gate, his smirk flattering for a brief second. "My advice is be quick if you wanna get him. Our Fuyu has a lot of admirers which means you have competition." The tattooed boy shifted his gaze back to Baji, the smirk making its way back to his face.
Kazutora's words were replied with a scoff. "Whatever. I can take them. I've never lost a fight." Baji stood his ground, as expected.
Kazutora's body was now completely facing Baji, his hand clasped on the table and his expression serious. "You never lost because you had nothing to lose. In a fight like this, if you lose you'll lose Matsuno Chifuyu. Is that ok with you?" His words seemed to have gotten past Baji's thick skull as he went silent, not making any more dumb excuses.
Baji turned to look out of the window. Ryusei and Chifuyu were still by the gate. Ryusei was laughing as Chifuyu furiously berated him, probably for another one of his pranks. It was unlikely for anyone to notice but Baji didn't miss the fleeting look of fondness pass by Ryusei's face as he stared at Chifuyu before his casual smirk took over his face again. Kazutora's words hit him like a brick. What was he thinking? Chifuyu is a man worth fighting for and if Baji did have to fight for his love then so be it, he'll win the damn fight and Chifuyu's heart.
"You're right, Tora." He mumbled, still staring at the duo outside the window. A snicker cut through the silent atmosphere. "Of course I'm right," Kazutora said before standing up from his chair.
"I'm gonna go out for a bit. See ya' at the arcade." Kazutora waved to Baji before exiting the classroom, leaving Baji alone with his thoughts. The boy had managed to pry his eyes away from Ryusei and Chifuyu just in time to see Kazutora's lean, model-like figure walking out of the classroom.
Baji knew and heard about crushes. It was normal. It's pretty obvious what one would do if one had a crush but the problem was, Keisuke had two. Two crushes on two of his friends. He knew it wasn't exactly rare for people to be in relationships of three or more but could he pull it off? Kazutora had a special place in his heart, much like Chifuyu did. They took up the same amount of space in his brain and his senses would stop working in a similar fashion around both of them. He could never choose one over the other. As of right now, Kazutora was aware of his liking towards Chifuyu. Was it possible that he caught wind of his crush on him as well? It wasn't impossible. Kazutora was quite smart when he wanted to be.
Baji was sick of catching brief glances and daydreaming of what they could be when he had all the power to make it a reality. He had made up his mind, he was going to confess to both Chifuyu and Kazutora. How hard could it be, right?
Chapter 2: What Does My Heart Even Want?
Summary:
Often times, Kazutora felt complete with the two of them. Baji was the Moon and Chifuyu was Sun. As much as he liked to imagine himself as the eclipse completing the three of them, he felt more like the stars, admiring from a safe distance but never getting too close.

Chapter Text
With his hands buried deep in his pocket, Kazutora walked to the nearest convenience store to his school. Each step he took felt heavier and it had nothing to do with the stuffy uniform that he was wearing. He should probably change his outfit before any of his teachers caught him skipping school, not that he cared anyway. His mother wouldn't be bothered too. To be fair, she was never bothered with her son but Kazutora never quite felt the weight of her actions too much as Baji and Chifuyu were always there to keep him company.
His mind spiraled in circles just as it did when he got anxious. The cashier handed him the receipt as Kazutora walked out with a can of soda and a chocolate bar. He'll give it to Chifuyu later. Thinking of the blonde made his heart sting, just a little. It was infuriatingly obvious that Baji had a thing for Chifuyu. The longing stares, lingering physical touch and the softening of tones screamed out what Baji attempted to keep hidden. Baji had been Kazutora's friend for years, holding him throughout hell and all the unfortunate events they went through. He was always there, tugging at Kazutora's heartstrings and making him a man with no sense of direction. Kazutora didn't have to think with Baji for the boy took care of him with the utmost consideration. How could he stop himself from falling?
Chifuyu had entered the picture about a year later. He was cheerful and loyal, always hanging around the two older boys. He emitted a bright light every time he smiled, shining through the clouded, dark depths of Kazutora's mind. Many times, Kazutora had caught himself wondering what it would be like to hold Chifuyu in his arms, to have him for himself. Just the thought of his beloved Fuyu with anybody else made him want to burn every inch of this shitty world down. Now that he thought about it, it was quite cliche and Chifuyu would definitely be weirded out.
Besides, Kazutora was stuck in a dilemma of which one. His heart longed for Baji Keisuke but it yearned for Matsuno Chifuyu all the same. If he had to sacrifice either one of them for whatever reason possible, he'd rather kill himself for his heart couldn't handle the pain of losing the two boys. Kazutora had so much love for Baji. Maybe- No, he certainly had grown to love Chifuyu equivalently.
Before he managed to entirely grasp the idea of falling in love with two people equally at the same time, he found out about Baji Keisuke's little crush. 'Of course...' Kazutora remembered thinking when he confronted Baji about the issue at hand.
'Why would he like me?'
His thoughts went dark. He felt himself being pulled into a void and suddenly he was a kid again being abused by his father and ignored by his mother. He takes a sip of the can of soda in his hand to calm down his mind. No matter what happened, Kazutora couldn't hate Chifuyu. He couldn't hate Baji either. Just what did his heart desire?
Often than not, Kazutora felt complete with the two of them. Baji was the Moon and Chifuyu was Sun. As much as he liked to imagine himself as the eclipse completing the three of them, he felt more like the stars, admiring from a safe distance but never getting too close. He was far too scared to lose both of them. He didn't want to be a restriction or a bother. He didn't want to be in the way, as his mother had told him.
He decided to push all the remaining butterflies deep, deep down into his soul, making sure they could never be released or uncovered. He would step back. Hell, he would even bury himself in the depths of the earth so that the two loves of his life could be happy. Then he wouldn't get in the way of-
"Kazutoraaa!!" Chifuyu leaped onto Kazutora's back, making some of the soda spill from the can. The tattooed boy didn't have to turn around to know that Chifuyu was smiling.
"Hey," Kazutora replied in a relaxed tone, a stark contrast to his disorderly thoughts from moments before. Time passed quickly when you were busy contemplating the choices in your life that led up to specific, mind-shattering moments. Currently, it was already time to hang out at the arcade with his crushes, as they had planned.
"I'm so glad I caught you in time! You didn't change?" Chifuyu asked with a raised eyebrow, glancing at Kazutora who was still in his school uniform.
"Oh," he replied simply. "I didn't. Wasn't feeling like it," his hand made his way into his pocket, fishing out the chocolate bar which he most certainly didn't steal from the convenience store just now. He handed it to Chifuyu, the chocolate already feeling squishy under the plastic after melting in the heat of the sun but the blonde could barely care as he took the gift with a smile.
"You like that chocolate don't you?" Kazutora asked with a soft smile, gazing at Chifuyu as if he painted the sky with his bare hands, making it so beautiful that Kazutora could stare at it for eons.
"Yeah! How did ya' know?!" Chifuyu said a little too loudly. Kazutora had noticed a half-eaten bar of chocolate on Chifuyu's desk the last time he invited him over to read manga together but Chifuyu didn't have to know that.
"I just did," Kazutora said with a wider smile as they sat down on a bench in front of a community park, waiting for Baji. Chifuyu nodded enthusiasticly although he seemed more focused on stuffing his face with chocolate, getting some on his face.
"You got something..."
Whatever the hell possessed Kazutora at that moment, he was both thankful and infuriated at it as Kazutora leaned in closer to Chifuyu and wiped away the smeared chocolate on his cheek with his thumb. Despite keeping his cool, Kazutora was fighting battles in his head. Chifuyu froze under his fingertips. That was when Kazutora pulled away, licking his finger which still had the chocolate on it. God, what the hell was he doing??
The silence that followed was aggravating. Chifuyu continued to nibble on his chocolate and Kazutora stared off into the distance of the park where parents, kids, and teenagers were doing whatever it was they were doing. Though the still atmosphere was hard to ignore, Kazutora praised the demons inside of him for making a move on one of his crushes. Chifuyu hadn't said much after the whole ordeal which spiked caution in Kazutora but not enough for him to break the not-so-peaceful peace between them.
He was a mess, but he pondered an alternate reality where he wasn't. Then maybe, in that universe, he could have both Baji and Chifuyu to himself without feeling like a failure. Maybe in that universe, he could show signs of affection such as before and it wouldn't be questioned.
At that very moment, a young couple walked past them, smiling and holding hands. Kazutora stared at them. He could have all that with Baji and Chifuyu. They could walk hand in hand. Heads would turn but his potential boyfriends would only have their eyes on him. Why wasn't he doing anything? He could have it all if he just faced his feelings like he faced his fights. He could stop being the furthest star and he could become the eclipse that made the three of them a whole.
He could do it.
He will do it.
He'll bring all his fantasies to life. He just had to man up and give the universe the worst side of him until it gave him Baji and Chifuyu.
Notes:
This is my first time trying to put Kazutora's thoughts into words. Hopefully I did him justice lol. Bare with me on this fanfic hehe.
I'd also love to hear y'all's thoughts on this. Kazutora is a complicated but misunderstood character so I wanted this ff to be not about him causing problems like other stories I've read since he always seems to be the villain of some sort. Instead I wanted it to be about him being a huge softie who doesn't know how to express his love.
Can you tell that I love him????
Chapter 3: Delusions, delusions...
Summary:
Chifuyu likes Baji and Kazutora. That's the plot.

Chapter Text
Chifuyu's day had been going on in a frankly routine manner. He had started the day off by walking to school with his beloved Baji-san. Then, Kazutora had visited –or rather broken into– their school. They had talked for hours on the rooftop before going downstairs, to Baji-san's class where they made plans to meet up at the arcade.
He had left the two alone to meet with Ryusei after a bit. At least that was what he had told Baji and Kazutora. Truth be told, Chifuyu just needed to compose himself as Kazutora had kept his hand around his shoulder during their entire conversation with Baji. However, his fingers wouldn't stay still much to the disdain of his gushing heart. Kazutora's fingers drew gentle patterns on his shoulder, the sensation painfully noticeable by Chifuyu on his skin underneath the uniform. Occasionally, his hand wandered lower against the thin material of his uniform and onto his back, slowly dragging his fingers up and down causing Chifuyu to experience tingles. The poor boy had already been flustered with how Kazutora, his longtime crush, was in extremely close proximity.
Baji's intense gaze on them did nothing to ease Chifuyu's heart. His first but not only crush, looked so handsome today that Chifuyu had to physically leave the damn room. Once out of Baji and Kazutora's sight, he let out a huge sigh, trying to calm his heart. At the spur of the moment, slender, tan fingers swiftly made their way to his waist, poking at a sensitive spot. The owner of said fingers knew damn well he was ticklish at that specific area.
"Ryusei!" Chifuyu had instinctively punched the tan boy in the face. Technically, he attempted to but failed unsurprisingly as Ryusei was known for his agile reflexes. The blonde grumbled when the tan boy simply laughed and caressed his hand that was balled up into a fist.
"Don't be mad, Fuyu~" Ryusei's voice dripped like honey, causing the junior girls from the next class who were passing by to swoon. Chifuyu grumbled again. At this point, it was a natural response to the annoying boy.
"What do you want?" Chifuyu asked in a frustrated tone, not in the mood to deal with Ryusei's annoying self. "How about we go buy some cake?" Said the boy, leaning in closer, clearly attempting to flirt. Chifuyu never understood how someone could casually flirt with every living thing he saw. He'd admit that Ryusei's flirting did leave him utterly flustered at times but he had soon grown immune to it, although sometimes Ryusei would still catch him off guard.
As much as Chifuyu despised the tan boy, he was fun to hang around. Chifuyu would be lying if he said he didn't enjoy the attention he got from him especially when it was desired by so many others but it could never compare to the feeling he got with Baji and Kazutora. His heart just couldn't keep up with the subtle things they did for him. They were like protagonists from his shojo mangas. Just one look and he could drop dead. Kazutora's hands were always on Chifuyu, either holding his hand or wrapping his arm around Chifuyu's waist. Baji would often forget to look away from his eyes and Chifuyu would experience an aneurysm. Small things like this were what kept Chifuyu hoping. He hoped that they felt the same way towards him, that his feeling would be reciprocated but he often wondered if he was simply too focused on things that nobody else noticed and that maybe it didn't mean as much as he thought it meant. His thoughts were soon interrupted by a chattering Ryusei.
After regretfully spending the day with Ryusei, Chifuyu was hit with the realization that he was late to meet up with Baji and Kazutora. He had hurriedly bid goodbye to Ryusei before rushing off to the destined spot. On the way, Kazutora had come into his view. Chifuyu's mood immediately brightened. He was visibly glowing. Calling out his name, Chifuyu ran towards Kazutora's side, smiling.
Kazutora was still in his uniform, he must've not had the energy to change it. Nevertheless, he still managed to swoop Chifuyu off his feet. Chifuyu was offered a chocolate bar from Kazutora. It was his favourite brand too. Chifuyu's heart swelled. Kazutora had done this for him? With absolutely no pressure? Purely because he wanted to?? Chifuyu thought he might as well kiss the man right there but he refrained because...well it would be weird if he just did that.
They had sat down on a bench in front of a park. Chifuyu excitedly opened the chocolate. Maybe he got far too excited when he was eating because he smeared some on his cheek. God, could he be any more stupider around the guy he was trying to impress??
"You got something."
Chifuyu heard Kazutora said. When he turned around to clarify what he meant, Kazutora leaned in and wiped the smeared chocolate away.
Chifuyu freezed.
What
The
Hell?!
His heart was going so fast he was sure that he would die. His face was painted red and for a good few seconds, his mind couldn't generate anything except Kazutora's pretty face.
Kazutora seems to have noticed his flustered mannerisms as he pulled away, licking the chocolate on his fingers. Chifuyu was flabbergasted. He turned away, his eyes facing his feet. There was no way he could look at Kazutora and act normal. Kazutora didn't seem too affected by his actions though as he didn't bother Chifuyu while he quietly nibbled the chocolate.
They sat in silence for what felt like an eternity. The surrounding happenings faded into nothingness as Chifuyu racked his brain with thoughts of the previous occurrence. Kazutora didn't say anything either.
Chifuyu turned to Kazutora, wanting to spark a conversation with this lovable man.
"Kazutora-"
A hand snaked around Chifuyu's shoulder. What was it with people and touching him today? Chifuyu turned around, entirely ready to punch the idiot. "Oh! Baji-san!" Chifuyu said perkily, his demeanor changing instantly at the sight of the boy.
Said Baji-san laughed. His deep voice caused butterflies in Chifuyu's stomach. "Gimme some," Baji said, leaning down to bite off a chunk of Chifuyu's chocolate. Chifuyu gladly let him, glancing at Kazutora whom Baji had his other arm wrapped around. Kazutora didn't seem too pleased.
"That's for Chifuyu, asshole." Kazutora sneered, glaring at Baji. In response, Baji gave him the middle finger. "Suck my dick!" No matter how handsome and sexy they were, Chifuyu had realized that both his crushes were quick to their temper around each other and they had no concern or shame for the way they acted in public.
"You wanna go fucker?" Kazutora grabbed a fistful of Baji's hair, not tugging it too hard. "Sure," Baji said with his signature toothy grin.
"Can't you guys be normal?" Chifuyu grumbled out of habit, taking note of the dirty looks people were giving them. At times like this, Chifuyu strongly felt the need to run away from the two most important people in his life.
Kazutora scoffed and released his grip on Baji's hair. He looked so hot when he was mad. Baji on the other hand, simply turned away from Kazutora and continued to steal bites from Chifuyu's chocolate which he gladly offered.
Chifuyu glances at both of the boys in front of him. He'd come clean to them about his feelings soon but for now, he'd prefer to live in his delusions a little while longer.
Notes:
So this chapter is a filler chapter and it doesn't really contribute much to the story other than Chifuyu's point of view. I promise the next chapter will be better so put up with this chapter for a while, yeah?

Chapter Text
Light breezes made their way around the dimly lit streets of Tokyo. The residential area of Tokyo was less bustling and less illuminated in the middle of the night. At 3.00 a.m. you wouldn't see many people walking around since normal people would be sound asleep in their beds but Kazutora was in fact, not normal. His hands were stuffed in the pockets of the jacket that Baji had bought for him a year ago for his birthday. He didn't feel like going home where his mother was. Sure, she would barely pay him any care but that was exactly why he didn't want to go back home.
Home?
Could he call that place home? Where his heart felt stuffed and where his mind remained clouded as the woman who was supposed to be his mother continued to ignore him, was that really his home? Most of the time, he found himself struggling to breathe. He hid himself in his room where his mother was out of sight and out of mind, yet the disturbing demons inside of him found ways to bother him with his own mind.
He never felt comfortable in the house. It was filled with too much pain to do so. Which is why, at 3.00 a.m., Kazutora was walking to one place where he did feel safe. He stopped in front of an apartment complex, taking in the sight of the fairly normal building. His eyes wandered to the second floor of the structure where a dim light came from a specific window. Chifuyu's room.
A small smile appeared on his lips simply by thinking of the blonde. He quickly returned his expression back to one of stoicism before walking to the back of the building where he started to climb up the wall. The fact that the piping was done on the outside of the building worked in Kazutora's favor.
He was careful to not put his entire weight on the pipes. He actually broke one of the pipes once and the whole residency didn't have water for 3 days. Chifuyu was really pissed at him for that, although he did forgive him for it later. Eventually, he reached the window of Chifuyu's room. He stared into the window as he softly tapped on the glass with his knuckles. He could see a shuffling figure getting closer. The window opened with a creak and light blue eyes met sand brown ones.
"Hey, Tora!" Chifuyu's soft, chirpy voice made Kazutora's heart swell.
"Hi, Fuyu," he replied with a smile, climbing into the window quietly, to avoid waking up Mrs. Matsuno, as Chifuyu backed up from the window. The cold wind blew in from the opened window and past Kazutora, messing with Chifuyu's hair by the slightest. Kazutora closed the window and made his way closer to Chifuyu, brushing his hair back. His eyes never left Chifuyu's as he brushed away strands of his blonde hair away from his forehead. He then leaned in closer, his lips dangerously near. He was only inches away from Chifuyu's soft skin.
Chifuyu on the other hand, moved back slightly. "Tora..." He whispered ever so silently, causing Kazutora's breath to hitch.
"Sorry," he mumbled, retracting his hand which he wasn't aware was resting on Chifuyu's cheek. "It's ok," Chifuyu said with a smile. His smile never failed to make Kazutora's heart waltz around inside of his body.
"Are you okay?" Chifuyu asked, his eyes wide and concerned, although his expression didn't falter. Chifuyu knew that talking about his family was something that Kazutora struggled to do, so he avoided doing so by acting as if everything was normal but his eyes always told a different story.
"I'm fine. I just wanted-" a yelp from Kazutora interrupted his sentence as he tripped over something, or rather, someone. Kazutora snapped his head at the source of his fall and was met with long, black hair and deep snores. Baji was spread out on the floor, sleeping like there was no tomorrow.
"What the fuck...?" Kazutora murmured under his breath. He wasn't exactly surprised. This was actually quite normal considering that it was Baji. "Oh yeah! Baji-san came just a bit before you did." Chifuyu explained, sitting down beside where Kazutora had fallen.
"He couldn't sleep and I was probably talking too much 'cause he fell asleep soon after." Chifuyu hugged his knees to his chest, resting his chin on them and staring at Baji fondly.
Kazutora took a moment to appreciate Baji's majestic face that was illuminated by the moonlight before making himself comfortable in Chifuyu's bed. "Well, I'm getting tired too." He said as he sank into the soft mattress, shaking his shoes off.
"Seriously, you two need to stop crashing at my place at night." Chifuyu chuckled, attempting to sound annoyed though his voice was only laced with tenderness. Chifuyu opened his wardrobe and fetched a blanket. He throws it on Baji, making sure that he's comfortable.
He then grabbed his manga on the bedside table and climbed into bed, snuggling under the blanket with Kazutora. "I wanna read a bit before bed," Chifuyu opened his manga and began reading when he felt a lightweight on his shoulder. He glanced at Kazutora's head lying on his shoulder.
"Lemme read with 'ya." Kazutora mumbled. Chifuyu smiled to himself and redirected his attention towards the manga. Although, Kazutora's fingers failed to stay still and intertwined with Chifuyu's fingers. His thumb caressed the hand of the blonde. Kazutora felt immensely glad that he chose to come here instead of staying at his mother's. His heart was full as he stole glances at his Chifuyu while he read his manga. He looked beautiful. He always did. How could one stare into those ethereal eyes of his and not fall in love? He thanked Gods which he didn't believe in at times as Chifuyu and Baji were too good for him. Sometimes he wonders if this is all simply a dream.
Kazutora began to doze off. He hoped that this angelic man would appear in his dreams so that Kazutora would never know the feeling of being away from his Chifuyu. After all, he didn't know if his heart could handle it.

Chapter Text
Slurping on a box of strawberry milk, Chifuyu strolled around his school. Today was the 14th of February, Valentine's Day. Being a shojo mangas enthusiast, he was a huge fan of the occasion as he saw the colors of love wander around Tokyo. It was heartwarming to see pure fondness surrounding him.
Instinctively, he threw away the box of milk in his hand into a trashcan. Just then, a familiar figure came into view. He immediately perked up. Seeing him always put Chifuyu in a delighted mood.
"Baji-sa–"
Chifuyu's steps stopped when he saw another person next to Baji. At first, Chifuyu thought it was Kazutora but after a closer look, he realized it was one of the girls from Baji's class.
The two walked behind a huge tree behind the school which sparked Chifuyu's curiosity. Obviously, he decided to follow them because it was far more reasonable for him to stalk them rather than asking Baji straight to his face.
As silently as possible, Chifuyu sneaked up and hid behind a wall, crouching down. The view wasn't exactly clear from where he was but it finished the objective. Baji was in his nerd attire, as he always was when he was in school. However, he did take off his glasses which was expected since Baji always complained to Chifuyu about how heavy they were.
The girl's demeanor was wary. She was holding something in her hand which Chifuyu couldn't make out. "So?" Baji started the conversation, his expression blank.
"Uhm..." This girl was very nervous which caused the gears in Chifuyu's brain to work. Even so, he didn't want to jump to conclusions. "I...I like you!" Her voice went higher, and she got more nervous. Baji took the letter from her outstretched hands.
Chifuyu's mouth dropped slightly. He felt a slight sting in his chest. Baji didn't talk to girls much but he was extremely popular. It was expected as according to Chifuyu, Baji is one of the most handsome and perfect man on earth, second to no one. Except Kazutora. It was extremely likely that Baji would get at least a few Valentine's Day presents. Chifuyu knew that Baji wasn't interested in girls at all but the boy had a heart of gold and simply couldn't reject them harshly. He always made sure to let them down gently. That was what Chifuyu loved about Baji, he was always thinking of other people. Nevertheless, Chifuyu always felt a pang of jealousy whenever he saw any girl confessing their love to Baji. He wondered if he could confess too one day.q
"I see," Baji's voice was steady and calm. "You're a nice girl, but I'm just not interested right now." His hands buried into his pockets, waiting for the girl to answer.
"Oh... alright." She said softly, her head low. She gave him one last smile before walking away. Baji watched her leave with a huge sigh. Chifuyu was secretly happy that this girl wouldn't get in the middle of him and Baji. He got up from his hiding spot in an attempt to escape before he was caught but-
"Chifuyu~ You know stalking people isn't a good thing to do~"
Chifuyu groaned and turned around to face the boy. "Ryusei..." He dragged his name, making it clear that he wasn't wanted. "I wasn't stalking," he said defensively, crossing his arms and glaring at the taller boy.
"Suree~" Ryusei replied with his signature, cocky smile. Ryusei's hand soon made its way around Chifuyu's shoulder. Chifuyu had always been a guy who loved showing and receiving physical expressions of love but with Ryusei, it was a whole different story.
"Don't touch me." Chifuyu hissed. "Now, now, don't be like that Chifuyuu~ I know you were stalking Baji." Ryusei leaned in dangerously close, his lips almost touching Chifuyu's.
Chifuyu scoffed. "You're imagining things." He looked away from Ryusei's stupid face and noticed that Baji was gone. Strange, he must've missed him.
···
Baji had spotted Chifuyu following him a while back. His senses were sharp and his gut instinct had never failed him so it was fairly easy. He didn't pay too much bother as he wasn't going to do anything extraordinary. The attention he got was something he never understood. Around five different girls had confessed to him and there were going to be so many more later today.
As he finished rejecting the nth girl today, he caught a glimpse of blonde and silver hair from behind the tree. He moved closer yet cautiously. Baji was met with the sight of Ryusei being unnecessarily close to Chifuyu. All of a sudden, Baji felt this surging need to punch Ryusei's face until it caved in. He glared intensively and Ryusei kept getting closer. Chifuyu seemed to already be annoyed at Ryusei's antics.
"My advice is be quick if you wanna get him. Our Fuyu has a lot of admirers which means you have competition."
Kazutora's words rang inside his brain like loud bells. The fact that Ryusei openly flirted with people was a thing Baji picked up on in his early days of having him as his vice-captain. It was never a bother but Baji also picked up on the fact that his flirting got ten times more seducing when around Chifuyu. Once again, the feeling of disfiguring Ryusei's face filled Baji's mind to the brim.
He decided to do something. He wasn't going to let Ryusei sweep Chifuyu away like that. He marched towards them when a familiar black and blonde-haired boy interrupted the conversation between Chifuyu and Ryusei.
···
Kazutora got bored very easily. Today was one of those days and so he decided to go to Baji and Chifuyu's school. At least he could see his boys. He stuck out like a sore thumb with his very different uniform, earning judgemental looks from the students there. Did he care? Absolutely not. Those kids could go kill themselves.
He searched around the school for a while before hearing Chifuyu's voice and another one accompanying it. Giving it another listen, it clicked to him that Chifuyu was talking to Ryusei. Kazutora had never been a fan of the tanned boy. He was always so cocky and annoying. Never knew when to shut up. When he saw how he acted towards Chifuyu, it didn't take Kazutora long to realize that Ryusei was trying to charm Chifuyu. As if Kazutora would let him.
Often than not, he found himself ruining their meetups and such. Like once, when he burned Ryusei's shoes or that time when he stole his bike. Ryusei wasn't an idiot either, he knew that Kazutora hated him and Kazutora knew that he knew. It wasn't anything to hide. Kazutora was never the one to hide his dissatisfaction.
This, one could imagine the rage and jealousy that burned over him when he saw Ryusei being in such close proximity to Chifuyu. At that moment, he didn't stop to think. Stomping right up to them, he roughly pulled Ryusei away from Chifuyu by his shoulder.
The shorter blonde was slightly surprised. "Tora?" He muttered. Chifuyu's endearing voice never failed to charm Kazutora into a trance. It was so sweet and bubbly that he just couldn't stand it. Calming down slightly, Kazutora glared at Ryusei who was the same height. How convenient.
"Fuyu, let's go out." He blurted out, his eyes never leaving Ryusei's. Chifuyu seemed to have had an aneurysm because he froze in place. "W-what?!" He squeaked.
Kazutora turned to Chifuyu who was flabbergasted. "Let's go out. I really like you. I have for a long time and...I can't hold it in any longer." Gosh, Kazutora wasn't sure what possessed him these days. His heart was beating faster each minute. Still, he waited patiently for Chifuyu's answer. He understood that suddenly springing this information could be pressuring but he was battling battles in his brain. The atmosphere grew suffocating with expectations with every second that passed. Chifuyu had still not said anything and Kazutora was growing agitated.
Chifuyu soon took a deep breath and his eyes turned to meet Kazutora's. Ryusei too couldn't help but watch expectantly, much to Kazutora's dismay.
"Kazutora-san..."

Chapter Text
Chifuyu soon took a deep breath, and his eyes turned to meet Kazutora's. Ryusei too couldn't help but watch expectantly, much to Kazutora's dismay.
"Kazutora-san..."
...
"I like you, too."
Kazutora blinked once. Then a second time. Before he repeated the action for a third time, he managed to form words from his lips.
"Really?" His voice came out as a mere whisper. Beside him, a light gasp was heard from Ryusei, who was most probably not expecting Chifuyu to have anything positive to say about Kazutora's impulsive confession.
Chifuyu's brain must have lagged for a minute because he soon started tripping over his words and blushing profusely, an action which was much more suited for him. "I really do!" He stuttered and emphasized the sentence as if Kazutora wasn't believing him.
After a few more awkward seconds of stammering, Chifuyu gave up trying to 'rationalize' his words from before and simply crouched into an awkward form on the floor with his hands covering his face.
Immediately, Kazutora aggressively released his firm grip on Ryusei and kneeled down to Chifuyu's level. "Fuyu?" He called out endearingly, genuinely worried about his beloved blonde. "Are you okay? I didn't mean to hurt you."
"He's just flustered, ain't ya?" A deep, familiar voice brought Chifuyu's hands away from his face, allowing Kazutora to sneak a peek at his red face. Baji ruffled Chifuyu's hair and flashed a grin at Kazutora.
To be fair, Chifuyu and Kazutora both knew that Baji had been there for far longer than what was expected. He had a knack for hiding in the shadows. Chifuyu turned his face away from Baji to face Kazutora's golden eyes.
"I-I want to go out with you." Chifuyu managed to say, to which Kazutora gently caressed his cheek. "How about tonight then? I'll pick you up." "Y-yeah. That's fine."
"Now that that's settled, get up from the floor, you dorks." Baji's foot nudged the back of Kazutora's back, just inches above his ass. Kazutora's mood swiftly changed from relishing in Chifuyu's sweet words to annoyance from this little shit trying to ruin the moment.
"You are such an asshole." Kazutora glared at the long-haired boy who was laughing away like no tomorrow. "It ain't my fault that you idiots have no idea how to do a confession. You're both stupid."
"Oh look who's talking."
"You wanna go?!"
In a split second, Kazutora had Baji in a headlock as Chifuyu stared blankly at his best friends. Wait, was Kazutora his boyfriend now? He'd have to confirm later.
Amidst the entire situation, the three boys had completely forgotten about Satou Ryusei. Said boy was forced to watch Kazutora and Baji wrestle each other while Chifuyu stared with pure love. Although he was not sure which one of the two boys was on the receiving end of those pretty ocean eyes.
He had given a lot of thought to this for quite a while. He liked Chifuyu, but that was it. Comparing his feelings to the undeniable love that Kazutora had for Chifuyu was like comparing Venus and Jupiter. His fleeting affection was a joke in comparison to Kazutora's love.
"Guess what? You don't matter anymore cuz I've got the best boyfriend, who so happens to be your best friend, which means he's not gonna care about you cuz he'll be busy with me!" Kazutora ranted smugly to Baji, pulling Chifuyu into a hug, which sent the blonde into a frenzy.
Ryusei simply smiled before leaving. This wouldn't change anything between him and Chifuyu. He shot his shot and missed. That was fine. It wasn't like he couldn't charm anyone else. Besides, he was happy for them. Truly. If there was anyone he trusted Chifuyu with, it was Kazutora and Baji.
They would always protect him, no matter what.

Chapter Text
It was the dead of night, 3.00 a.m, Kazutora's favourite time of the day; when things were quiet and the disturbing thoughts in his head were too worn out to bother him. Tonight was a special night though. Instead of the usual silence, a certain blonde haired boy was entertaining his mind.
The usual dull streets seemed to have brighten up and the sound of his own humming rang in his ears. It was a cheesy love song that he had heard earlier that day in a convenience store and it couldn't seem to leave his mind. Maybe 3.00 a.m wasn't the ideal time for a date but he was fine with it. He just hoped that Chifuyu was alright with it too.
Not exactly wanting to climb the water pipes again, he picked up a few pebbles and aimed at Chifuyu's window. Just two pebbles later a smile flashed through the open window. "Tora-kun! I'm coming down now!" Chifuyu said, closing his window. Kazutora smiled to himself. The blonde seemed to be excited. He waited patiently and rolled up the sleeves of his jacket. He wasn't wearing anything too special but he still wanted to give a good impression.
Faint footsteps came up behind Kazutora. He turned around and was fronted by Chifuyu who was wearing a white cardigan and soft jeans. He looked adorable in the light colors. For a split second it was as if Kazutora had been blinded by the sun. "You look amazing." He mumbled just loud enough for Chifuyu to hear.
"Thanks. I spent a lot of time putting it together. Not that long though." Chifuyu had a certain habit of stuttering and over explaining when he was flustered. It was an endearing habit that warmed Kazutora's heart.
"First of all, I'd like to apologize for the timing. It was a very impulsive decision to ask you out so I didn't plan much." Kazutora explained, checking his flip phone before focusing back on Chifuyu. "That's alright. It's no big deal. I normally go out on bike rides with Baji-san at this hour so I'm used to it." Chifuyu replied with a cute smile.
"Shall we then?" Nodding his head to his bike, Kazutora asked. "Sure." They both got on Kazutora's bike with Chifuyu on the back. His hands slid around Kazutora's waist which caused the older boy to subtly flinch. Before long, they were riding off into the pitch black streets which were illuminated by only the street and head lights. Cold air breezed through their hair, creating a peaceful atmosphere.
"Where are we going?" Chifuyu broke the comfortable silence first. "Just to a little place. It's my favourite spot." 'I'm hoping it'll become your favourite place too' Kazutora thought internally.

Chapter Text
Stars decorated the night sky as Chifuyu felt the cold wind hit his face, stinging a little but feeling carefree nevertheless. His arms were winded around Kazutora's slender waist. No amount of shojo manga could prepare him for the things that happened to him earlier that day. A proposal and a date-from Kazutora! It was a dream come true and Chifuyu was not about to let it pass.
He gripped Kazutora's waist tighter, embracing in the fact that his long time goal had been fulfilled. He was finally getting with Kazutora and he couldn't be any happier. Well maybe he could, if Baji confessed quickly. He probably should savour this moment before getting greedy.
His thoughts were interrupted by the halting of the bike. He got off first before offering Kazutora a hand to which the latter gladly accepted. Chifuyu smiled and turned around to see the place he was brought too. What met his eyes made him experience an otherworldly feeling. He wasn't sure how to describe the vibes that the place gave off but it was a mix of enchantment and serenity.
The place in question was ruins of what seemed to be a castle of some sort. Or atleast, used to be as what was left of the structure was two watch towers, one of which was broken halfway and the other standing somewhat steady with steps leading up. There was a long, one story building that joined the two towers. It was decorated with huge stained glass windows that had moss growing on them. Not knowing how long it had been there, Chifuyu decided to settle on a long time for the ruins were covered in chapped paint. Vines were growing up the towers and nature had seemed to reclaim what was rightfully it's.
He stood in front, staring at the abandoned structure which he couldn't describe as anything less than majestic. For a moment he wondered how it looked like in it's prime, when the paint was fresh and when the towers we're tall and bold. "Do you like it?" Kazutora asked, placing a gentle hand around his shoulder.
"It's wonderful. How'd you find a place like this Tora?" He whispered, completely breath taken by the build. He was so puzzled as to how he never noticed this building. "One day my dad got a bit too annoying and so I went out on a bike ride to calm down. I guess I wandered a bit too far because you don't come across these hidden gems in Tokyo." He smiled at Chifuyu which caused his heart to flutter.
Of course. Chifuyu didn't notice they left the city because obviously you can't find these kind of places around the busy streets of Tokyo. Kazutora gently grabbed his hand and walked Chifuyu into the building. They walked up two huge staircases that ascended to a platform which he soon found out was under the huge stained glass window that he saw outside earlier. They walked through a long, dusty corridor that still had ripped velvet carpets running along it's floors. The walls were decorated with yellowish paintings of old, possibly aristocrats. Kazutora was walking in front of him, familiar with the place.
"Do you come here often?" Chifuyu asked, gazing at the boy in front. How his yellow and black hair bounced slightly with the excited pace he was walking at and how the faint moonlight that shone through the old, broken windows illuminated his golden eyes. "A lot!" The older boy replied. Soon they reached a room at the very end of the left corridor, beside the entrance to the half broken tower. The roof and walls on this side of the structure was more damaged than the rest so Chifuyu could clearly see the moon and stars. A quick look around told him that the ruin was surrounded by a slightly thin forest.
Kazutora opened the door to the room and invited Chifuyu inside. He found the room to be as demolished as the rest of the building except for the decent carpet and a few modern furniture. "Have you been camping out here?" He asked in disbelief. "Well not technically camping out. I come here often, like I told you. It's nice but the ruins were getting to me so I cozied it up. Whatchu think?" Kazutora asked with big eyes.
Chifuyu let out a chuckle. "It's cute. Not what I would except you to do during your free time though." The both of them got comfortable on the carpet and Kazutora reached out to the shelf in front of him, pulling out a romance manga. The roof on this area of the building was also heavily demolished, giving a good view of the sky.
"You read manga here?" Chifuyu asked, looking around at the small collection of mangas. "That and play games on my console." He smiled opening the manga. "That's nice." He turned to look at Kazutora. "Listen Chifuyu, I know this isn't exactly the kind of date you read about in your mangas but-" "It's perfect" Chifuyu interrupted Kazutora quickly. "I liked most of it. Although we didn't do much. The ride here, the place , the trust you have in me to being me here, everything feels so perfect. Maybe it's because it's personal and I like that. I like that you hold me in such a special place where I get to experience all these personal things about you."
Chifuyu spoke without faltering, his words genuine. Kazutora stared in awe of some sort before speaking up. "Of course I hold you in high regard. You're so special to me Fuyu..." A cold breeze blew Chifuyu's bangs in front of his pretty ocean eyes. Kazutora brushed it away, leaning closer. "You mean so much to me Matsuno Chifuyu." He whispered. Chifuyu stared into his golden eyes that seemed to be in close proximity. "Kazutora," was all he managed to get out of his mouth before soft lips met his.
Kazutora's hand caressed his cheek, holding his face in place as his lips sucked on Chifuyu's. Chifuyu leaned into the kiss, refusing to back away, his hand resting on Kazutora's neck. Soon the older boy found a way for his tongue to enter Chifuyu's mouth, not that he was resisting. They made out for a good 3 minutes before pulling away.
Kazutora stared at him, his hands still on Chifuyu's cheeks. Their lips were swollen and their faces were flushed red, both out of breath. "Chifuyu...I didn't mean to do that." Kazutora muttered. "It's alright. I liked it. I would be lying if I said I didn't manifest that." Chifuyu giggled causing Kazutora to giggle too. They laid on the carpet, facing up at the sky view, holding hands. What more could Chifuyu ask for? He's already got everything he needs.
