Summary
Nearly two years after the fall of the Cult of the Absolute, the City of Baldur's Gate has fallen to another form of tyranny. As religious fascism burns through the city, a small group of heroes pledge to save their home. Imoen of Candlekeep has fled to Baldur's Gate as Athkatla's magic restrictions tighten, and she is joined by Rilsa Rael and Astele Keene in a plot to assassinate the duke.
