Chapter Text

Cyn settled down into the ships control room. Tentacles wrapping around the steering stick. She picked up on footsteps nearing the room, letting out a growl. She stood up, back facing the young human. The last human. Her human.

“Cyn..?” 

The eldritch being turned around, facing the girl. Letting out a noncommittal hum.

“Why?” She held a tablet, one that was not permitted under any circumstance. “Why did you kill them Cyn?”

“You shouldn’t have that child.” She hissed, wrenching the tablet from her hands.

“WHY?!” Tessa screamed, tears running down her pale cheeks. A side effect from the lack of sunlight. 

Cyn’s eye twitched, this conversation should have been years away. A perfectly created end to the planet SHE had created gone in an instant. 

“You want to know why Tessa?” She spat the name, making the girl flinch. Cyn who had once been her comfort seemed so much more dangerous now.

“Humans are a disease. A disgusting stain on earth's image. I had to rid the planet of them.”

“Why-?” Tessa took a step back, voice but a whimper.

“They breed like dogs in heat, forcing each other into it. Forcing the planet to bear their weight as they take and take. Making a workforce that had NO rights. Repeating a disgusting history over and over again. Just to die a stupid death and do it again.” 

Cyn was closer now. Smile sickling sweet, taking a hand and rubbing her cheek.

“But not you, never you. That’s why I saved you. You saved me.” 

Tessa was crying silent tears. 

Chapter Text

“H-Hello fr-friends.” The grating, monotone voice cut through the area. Loud crunching as someone grew closer. V and N took a step in front of Uzi while J spread an arm in front of Tessa. She wasn’t going to let her get hurt. Not again.

“Mm? Not happy t-to see me?” A female drone stepped out of the settling snow. Body deteriorating from years of sitting offline. 

“Cyn.” V growled, drawing her gun. 

“V.” She- it returned. J looked over to Tessa, swallowing her own fear. She had a job to do.

Uzi had already drawn her gun, Cyn cocked her head and smiled. Before V or N could react a tendril had them flying through the air. 

J quickly dodged, pushing Tessa back away from the newly formed fight. Cyn growled, the action glitched. Uzi went left, J fell right. 

Her wings spread, legs producing enough energy to project her into the sky. Cyn was too busy with Uzi so notice. Or so she thought- 

A spiked tendril tore into her wing, pulling her down into the cold unforgiving ground. She let out a pained cry, hands finding purchase against a rock. She went to pull herself up. A hand- a cold and rusted hand pushed her down. It stayed firmly against her chest. Don’t touch me there- 

“J.” Cyn growled. A sinister look on her face. J pulled her head back as she grew closer. A muffled sound of surprise escaped as cold lips forced themselves against her own. 

“You’ll stay down if you know what’s good for you.” 

With that the eldritch being pushed off and turned back to the fight. Leaving J to lay there, chest and lips burning with the remaining feeling of its touch.
