Chapter Text

CHP 1: AN UNEXPECTED TURN OF EVENTS

It was 6:00 am in the morning. Senkuu, Xeno, Chrome and all the people in the kingdom of science were creating a time machine and so far they had been testing the machine out. Sai handled all of the simulation and big number calculation through the computer that Senkuu had trusted over him.

Minami takes some photos as this test would mark as the 39th test. "Testing on the time machine. Testing its calibration and center frugal spin and its possible energy consumption." Senkuu says in a monotone voice but his eyes are sparkling because if it goes according to plan. The machine would be stable at around the 50th testing and around the 60th it would be possible to take the testing further and actually use it.

Xeno adjusted the panels to the adjustments that they had already concluded to be the most effective for the machine. Through some hypothesis and theory, both Xeno and Senkuu realized that they can use the medusa device to actually act as a temporal for the machine. So while the machine was not activated yet, Senkuu put the Medusa device upon the place where it's supposed to be.

When Xeno activated the electricity to flow to the machine it hummed to life like it usually does. The Medusa device floated on its compartment and spun, proving Senkuu's and Xeno's expection's.

But Chrome noticed something amiss. "Senkuu did you calculate what would be the adjustment on the machine with the Medusa device in it?" Senkuu replied "Well both Xeno and I had a hypothesis that it won't need that much adjustment....." Then Senkuu went silent. 'Hmmm I'm sure it won't cost much trouble now?'. Senkuu thought he just hoped that something bad would happen right now but then his luck just struck now out of all times and the data showed upon the screen had shown errors all over the data they had.

Xeno and Sai tried to troubleshoot the errors but even though the machine would stop receiving data, it received the data input. The machine's purpose then merged with the Medusa device making it charge up. "Everyone! Let's go outside, it's dangerous here!" Gen shouted towards all the people inside, all the people had gotten outside but Gen, Senkuu, Yuzuriha, Francois, Minami, Sai and Ryusui were a bit late as they were still in the building. Stan just prioritized Xeno and has barely gotten out when a familiar light that they had seen at least once had covered their vision.

"Senkuu-chan before we turn to stone again, just know that I'll love you kay?" Gen says and holds Senkuu's hand. "Mentalist.... I am 10 billion percent sure that I also feel the same way" Senkuu says squeezing Gen's hand. Senku gave a quick peck upon Gen's lips as goodbye and then all of their vision was covered with green light.

Senkuu's pov:

'Hmmm it's like the petrification again huh, time to count' I counted 1 to 10 again just like what I did when I was petrified but I noticed something odd, an unexplained force was pulling him towards something. Senkuu resisted but it was futile as he was still pulled along. Around 153 seconds the pull stopped. 'What the......' when Senkuu thought it was over, he felt a throbbing headache as his thoughts were faltering to go unconscious. "Must stay awake!!! Can't lose!!! Aaaaahhhhh!!!" Senkuu didn't realize that he spoke it out loud.

Before the time line of Senkuu's pov: (Byakuya's Pov)

It was 8:30 pm. 5 year old Senkuu and Byakuya were inside their home. Byakuya was tucking his 5 year old child to bed. Senkuu tried to argue that he didn't need to be tucked in but Byakuya insisted so here they are. 'Hmph, this brat is gonna be the death of me' Byakuya thought as he chuckled under his breath.

He was going to go out of Senkuu's room when he heard his 5 year old son scream.

3rd person pov:

"Must stay awake!!! Can't lose!!! Aaaaahhhhh!!!" Senkuu yelled as he clutched his head as the headache was unbearable. Byakuya rushed over to his side. "Kiddo?! What's happening hmmm? What's wrong?" Byakuya asked softly as he put Senkuu on his lap and massaged his head.

Senkuu's headache slowly disappeared when he realized who was massaging his head. Someone who wasn't supposed to be alive. "Byakuya?" Senkuu asked in a soft and broken voice. Byakuya waited for Senkuu to continue speaking as he massaged his head and Senkuu noted how his voice sounded younger.

When Senkuu didn't speak, Byakuya decided that maybe he'll ask Senkuu how he feels now. "Hey... Is your headache gone now? Are you okay? If not we'll go to the hospital right away!" Byakuya says. Senkuu tried to control his tears, he hugged Byakuya and he sobbed silently. "No, we don't need to go to the hospital, I'm fine now" Senkuu says as quickly as possible so that his sobs won't interfere through the words he spoke.

After a little while, Senkuu was now done crying so he pushed out of Byakuya's hug, Byakuya chuckled as he remembered that this kid usually don't like hugs but he was overjoyed that he actually hugged him for once.

"Kekekeke, are you alright now little kid?" Byakuya asks as Senkuu nodded his head. Senkuu was brainstorming about what to do now. "I'm alright now, I just had a nightmare" Senkuu replied and Byakuya sighed in relief when he heard that. Even though Senkuu was trying to formulate some plans, the previous scars that was left when Byakuya was actually gone when he woke up from petrification was bugging him. So Senkuu decided that he will surely say a proper goodbye to this old man so that his wounds will heal this time.

Senkuu woke up around 6:15 am in the morning and he noted how old he is 'Hmmm I look like I'm around 5 years old' Senkuu looks at the calendar and saw that it was April 11, 2006.

Byakuya called Senkuu from outside his room so that he can eat dinner. Senkuu smiled as he rushes out of his room.

Ryusui, Sai, Francois, Gen and Yuzuriha also experienced the same pain as Senkuu. Now what will happen to this timeline now?

8:45 pm, right around the time Senkuu was asleep. When Francois and Ryusui recovered from the headache. Ryusui decided to yell when he realized what happened. "I'm a kid again! So just like before I desire everything in this world!" Ryusui shouted and Francois just bowed. "Master Francois we should find Master Senkuu, maybe he remembers just like us" Francois said and Ryusui agreed. With a snap of his fingers, Francois brought his phone and Ryusui posted on the famous platform which was called 'Hello world'.

*The content of the posts was there is a photo of Ryusui doing his iconic pose (which looks cute cause his now a child) with the caption 'Ishigami Senku find me or I'll find you first'* Ryusui posted this at 9:01 pm.

Minami snapped out of it when the headache subsided and at the same time Gen made an account in 'Hello world' as obviously his account is gone as he is literally back to being a child again. He and Minami had the same idea of creating their account in 'Hello world' again and when they succeeded their eyes nearly jumped at Ryusui's post. "Hahahahaha he remembers the stone world" Gen says in relief. "Hmmm wonder if there are others who remember the stone world" Minami wondered as she looked at Ryusui's post. They both saw the post at 9:06 pm.

At 10:00 am in the morning, Senkuu was currently being dragged around by his father as they are now in an arcade called 'Arcane gaming center' the name of the arcade was odd. "Why are we here Byakuya?" He asked frankly but Byakuya squealed at the cuteness of his question. "We're here to cheer you up? You love games right? So let's spend the day together playing games" Byakuya says, Senkuu wants to disagree but then his heart decides to stay. "We could've played Super Mario or watched Doraemon though" Senkuu comments but he still followed his father inside the arcade.

Ryusui stood in front of the arcade called 'Arcane gaming center'. "Francois as I'm not allowed to drive anything as my father has trust issues, I have to practice here, to hone my skills. Can't lose it right?" Ryusui says to Francois nodded but they noticed a familiar hair amongst the crowd. "Master Ryusui, Master Senkuu is over there" when Francois pointed out the hair that stood against gravity, Ryusui was now charging towards the owner of that unique hair that both of them knew. "Senkuu! Over here buddy!" Ryusui yelled and Senkuu looked back to see Ryusui. "Ryusui? Hmmmn did you remember about the stone world too?" Senkuu asks quietly as Byakuya tried to process when they had become friends.

"I did" Ryusui nodded. "Is that Byakuya" Ryusui points at the adult that is currently thinking about something and Senkuu nodded. "So any plans?" Ryusui asks. "No, I'm here to spend time with the old man cause I made him worried, we'll just stay in contact through Hello world. What's your username so I can add you when I make my account" Senkuu says. "My username is 'theworldisminekeke'" Ryusui replied.

Senkuu nodded as he told Ryusui to go away and play with the arcade version of flying a plane. "Senkuu, can I ask a question?" Byakuya says as he finally snapped out of it. "Hmmm? Asks away" Senkuu replied. "I thought you were a loner to be honest. You're only friend was Taiju but now I find out you had another friend and that's not all. You're friends with a Nanami!" Byakuya says. "Yeah, keep it down old man. So what are we playing here hnmm?" Senkuu asks. Byakuya looks at where Ryusui was playing and turned to Senkuu.

"It's your decision kiddo, not mine" Byakuya replied. Senkuu immediately goes to a claw machine. He found a rocket plushie and actually wanted it but he can't get it even after 5 tries. "Old man help me" Senkuu groans in annoyance, Byakuya chuckled but after 3 tries he couldn't get the plushie. "Haha, something like this is easy!" Ryusui decided to pop out and he took one of the coins he exchanged and got the rocket plushie, he also managed to drag a boat plushie all in one try. "Here you go Senkuu. I have to go now, my old man is worried about me" Before leaving Ryusui took a selfie with Ryusui, Francois and Senkuu in it after that he left the arcade along with Francois.

Both Senkuu and Byakuya left the arcade at 11:23 am they headed to their favorite ramen restaurant and the rest of the day that the father and son spent was sweet and cute.

Chapter Text

Around 6:03 pm. When Senkuu and Byakuya came back home, Senkuu had asked Byakuya to use his laptop as kindly as he could. "Old man, I'm using your laptop okay" that's all Senkuu said as be opened the laptop and made a 'Hello world' account. He made his username as 'dr.s' cause why not. He searches for Ryusui's username 'theworldisminekeke' and he finds out that Minami and Gen were in his friend lists, meaning they also remembered.

While he was scrolling around he got a friend's recommendation that the app suggested, Senkuu eyes widened as he saw the username 'dr.x' along with a picture of his soon to be mentor when he was 10. Senkuu smiled as he added 'dr.x' he also added 'cancerstickaddict' as Senkuu saw that he has the profile pic of someone that he definitely recognizes.

Senkuu got a notification. *'dr.x accepted your friend request' and 'cancerstickaddict' accepted your friend request*

'dr.x' and 'cancerstickaddict' or in their real names Xeno Wingfield and Stanley Snyder, were hanging out at their hangout spot when they got a notification of someone friending them both at 'Hello world'. "Weird, why would a 5 year old add me as a friend?" Stan asks himself as he sees the profile of 'dr.s'. "You are right Stan. Hmmm lets text the little guy, maybe he confused us with someone he knows". Xeno replied as he was researching something. Stan nodded and decided to text the kid, he got another cigarette before he texted him and lit it up causing Xeno to frown a little.

Senkuu was texting with Ryusui and he found out that Yuzuriha and Sai remembered like them. He was glad and he conveyed the plan he had made. His plan was to reassemble the kingdom of science again. He was resting his eyes out when he heard a notification that someone messaged him. When Senkuu looked at who it was it was 'cancerstickaddict' his message was *Kid why did you add me? You do know about stranger danger right?* Senkuu then replied with *I know but you look like someone I know* Senkuu decided to go with that.

*Hmmm? Including 'dr.x?'?* 'cancerstickaddict' replied and Senkuu expected this reply. He knows Stan was protective of Xeno so he will try to get more info if that would help. *That's right. 10 billion points for you* Senkuu replies and all he got was a laughing emoji.

Xeno glanced at the laughing Stan. "What's so funny huh?" He asked and Stan gave his phone to Xeno. Xeno finds the reply cute and funny so he chuckled. "Pfft. What a silly kid" Xeno says as he handed the phone back and continued working on his research.

Senkuu now draws down his plans currently. He first drew himself, Gen, Minami, Yuzuriha, Sai, Francois and Ryusui and wrote 'Remember what happened' on top of it he then drew the younger version of Tsukasa, Xeno and Stan and put 'need to befriend'. He drew Ukyo and put 'need to find'.

After Senkuu was satisfied with his plan. Senkuu decided to check the calendar up and he saw that it was Jan 2, 2009. 2 days before his birthday. So that meant that it was Jan 1, 2009, when he time traveled. And, the time when Byakuya would give him a lot of science related stuff and of course when he and Taiju would make the suit that would help Byakuya pass his astronaut exam.

Senkuu checked the time, and it was now 8:30 pm. 'Well time to sleep to not overwhelm this tiny body' Senkuu thought as he put the laptop back at Byakuya's study table and headed back to his room. Now now, Senkuu wasn't the type to be scared when he sleeps alone but because at the stone world, Gen was beside him when he slept at the observary maybe he wasn't as used too it anymore.

Senkuu sighed in frustration as he padded towards Byakuya's room. He saw Byakuya peacefully sleeping and is certainly here with him. Like he wasn't dead yet...... Senkuu shock the away the bad thoughts and slipped himself beside Byakuya.

Byakuya's pov:

Byakuya wasn't sleeping yet. He was still trying to go to sleep. 'Hmmmm? Footsteps? Maybe Senkuu would wake me up for something or he wants to sleep beside me?! Nah he hates salpy stuff' he thinks as he was proven wrong, the kid who Hates sappy stuff was sleeping besides him! Byakuya tried not to squeal as Senkuu was now hugging him. It felt like a dream come true. 'Dear gods thank you for giving me this gift. Byakuya said thanks to all the god out there as he waits for Senkuu to go to sleep. 'I need to snap a photo of this!' Byakuya thought and after a little while Senkuu was now still and was sleeping. Byakuya rummage around the bedside table he had and took the camera out, he put the countdown to 10 second and when it was done Byakuya looked at the photo and was glad it came out alright.

Ryusui's pov:

“Hmm January 2, 2009, huh…….” I mumbled as I tried to remember if anything major happened to me at this time. “Master Ryusui, it seems to be that your father had already reduced your allowance also it seemed like you’ve already won the Dodgeball Tournament Grand Prix, so that means that around this time we are managing the stock market” Francois commented to help Ryusui finish his thoughts. “HAHA! Thanks for that Francois. Now I know what to focus on. For me to have everything in the world once again, I would need funds. Funds that I’ve earned. I do not need to rely on my father now. I’ve been through worse.” I said as I walked out of my room in order to go towards the room where the group of stock market statistician that I hired. “Hmmmmm I wonder if I ask Senkuu to craft like Perseus would he want too?” I asked myself. Something I liked about the stone world was first, he was an adult, they can’t stop Ryusui cause of that. Second, they were no laws yet so creating the Perseus was allowed. But right now, he knew he still can’t do that as it would get his dear friend in trouble. Ryusui now hates being a kid (currently 10, turning 11 in november 11 which was too long for Ryusui)

Minami’s POV:

“So, I’m currently 11 huh?” I mumbled as I looked at the camera that my father had given me, the same camera that led me to be a reporter. I picked up the small camera. A flashback of her picturing everyone flashes. A tear slid down her cheeks as she realized that everyone that was born on the stone world would not exist here. The pictures she took was now gone……... “How cruel……” I sobbed as I hugged my camera and swore to myself. “I will try my best to become the best reporter again. I should be the best whenever it’s the old world or the stone world” Minami says when she finished sobbing. (Her birthday is in Jume 21)

Gen’s POV:

“Being 8 years old is certainly not un-fay” I huffed and groaned as I realized that I had to go to America again to get my training that made him pro at manipulation and magic tricks. “How oring-bay, touchscreen phones weren't that common yet” I mumbled as I looked at the pc, trying to cook up some plan to hopefully distract him of what he needs to do again. “Haaaah, I rather deal with manganese batteries rather than do all of what I did when I was a kid” Okay he might have become crazy for him to comment that.

Yuzuriha’s POV:

“.….. Around this time, I still hadn’t meet Senkuu and Taiju huh?” I sighed as I practiced sewing. I need to be as good as when I had been at the stone world. “I meet Taiju when he was 5 because we were classmates” I mumbled to myself and stopped sewing when I finished. I had sewn a scraf. I chuckled as I remebered that if this was still the stone world it would have been November 28 was it 5760? She honestly can’t remember she might be wrong. Now that she thinks about it, she misses the people of Ishigami village.

Sai’s POV:

“UUUGGHH...... it seems that technology is not that advanced yet...... No, the problem is not the technology, I just must hypothesize what codes Xeno and Senkuu inputted upon the machine with the Medusa in it” I mumbled as I kept seeing errors on the code.

Francois’s POV:

After around 9:30 pm, when Master Ryusui was asleep, I walked out of the room and prayed. “I hope the ones that have been left behind is safe....” They know that they might be gone, but they hoped they’d be wrong.

No one’s POV;

Let’s go back to the start kay?

“This is baaaaddd!!!” Chrome yells as he is super familiar with that sickening green light. The villagers ran though they know they can’t outrun the green light. Chrome closed his eyes as he accepted his supposed petrification again. “Stay concious! Just like Senkuu, I’ll count to stay awake!” Chrome says.

Chrome felt someone tapping upon his shoulder, so he willed his eyes open and saw his wife Ruri, perfectly fine and not stone. “Chrome, me and the others at Ishigami village aren't petrified but......” Ruri cut herself off as she looked behind Chrome, Chrome followed her line of sight and saw the people from the old world being petrified.

“That’s not a problem, Ruri with the revival fluid that Senkuu had made, they will surely return” Kohaku says as she poured a bottle of revival upon a stone statue of Stanley and Xeno. They were hugging before the beam hit them. Kohaku and the others waited for but none of them broke out of their stone shell, not even Senkuu himself.

“HMMM?! Why is the fluid not working?” Suika asked. “How could that happen, Senkuu clearly said that the revival fluid is 30% nitric acid mixed with 70% distilled alcohol” Chrome replied. “Ah. How is this possible?” Chrome recognized that voice. Chrome looked up the roof of where their time machine was tested on and saw a floating medicine pill, it was Why-Man. “It was supposed to fail? When I’m here” they commented.

“What?! What do you possibly mean?” Kohaku asks the question that was in everyone’s mind when they heard Why-Man’s words. “Sorry but….. I can’t tell you as I’m not programmed to provide it" Why-Man replies. Kohaku tried to jump on the creature but was stopped by her own sister. “Kohaku, violence won’t do anything right now” Ruri says. “That’s right, we just need to huh figure out how to get them out of stone” Kokuyo replied.

Chrome then remembered something, it was the convo he had with Senkuu before this mess happened.

“Senkuu did you calculate what would be the adjustment on the machine with the Medusa device in it?” Senkuu replied “Well both Xeno and I had a hypothesis that it won’t need that much adjustment…..”

“Guys I have an idea! Maybe the reason why they can’t be broken out of stone is cause the time travel was successful…..” Chrome said his recent hypothesis to others. “Chrome can you dumb it down for some people here?” Kohaku asks as she sees a lot of people confused on what Chrome was on about.

“So the time travel is successful, their body’s are here petrified, but their ‘souls’ or minds actually traveled. This means that it’s partially successful? Can I even say that….” Chrome replies as he looked at Senkuu’s statue, still holding hands with Gen as that was their lasts position before the beam hit them.

“But…. Why are we not included with them?” Magma asked. “Because if their minds traveled to the past, for example the old modern world. Their children forms are their but for us…….” Chrome replies then he shook his head as he thought of something amazing. “What if we implant ourselves at that time period then?” Chrome says. “Then won’t the grandfather paradox happen?” Suika replied with another question. “Hmmm. What I mean is like we communicate like how Senkuu said like a video call. This is the best way to not make the grandfather paradox happen” Chrome replies.

“And how would you do that?” Why-Man asked. Chrome smirked and picked up the now charged? Medusa Device. “With this” Chrome says. And he got a lot of questioning looks. “How would we send it?” Kirisami asked. “Would it truly work?” Moz asked. Chrome shook his head. “I dunno…” A lot of people face palmed at that. “But just like how Senkuu found the revival fluid, we got to try our own trial and error” Chrome says. As a lot of hypothesis are running through his mind

Chrome was now cooking up a plan to hopefully send the Medusa device to where Senkuu was.

He was going to use the theory that Xeno had when he hypothesized that he would send a beam to Senkuu’s father (This is from the Byakuya spin-off), so he would try to make it similar so that the Medusa device could be there whenever Senkuu was.

The next problem would be turning the Medusa device into something like a touchscreen smartphone that could do video calls. Chrome observed the Medusa Device. Its shape was a Mobius strip-shaped thing that Joel, a clockwork master, had seen that you needed a diamond that was precisely cut or else it won’t work at all, a pricy battery.

Chrome looked and saw that the place where the diamond is. The diamond was not charred like charcoal, unlike when he saw it, when Joel pointed out that the diamond was the device’s battery, it was sparkling and looked new.

“It looks like Senkuu truly was right, there’s no need to change something that wasn’t truly necessary to calibrate the time machine that they had built. It just worked way too effectively. But on the bright side, at least their bodies weren’t... gone.

Chrome tries to think about something positive in this moment, deep in his mind he hopes that whatever he thinks of it will work 10 billion percent. So, the time machine works, but it needs a thing that has a center frugal spin so that it works, the medusa would absorb the code and would send it out as what it was intended to do, petrify people. Chrome finalized that they would need a mobius strip that would surround the Medusa device to hopefully send it back in time where Senkuu and the members of the Kingdom of Science were right now. So, Chrome set off to find their pro craftsman, Kaseki.

After Chrome explained to Kaseki his hypothesis, Kaseki pondered it.

“What material would we need for the second Mobius strip?” He asked, Chrome thinks about how Xeno has described the device as a mechanical parasite, as it somehow can understand emotions, it also can’t be detected with radar, and how it was weak to oxidation.

“We’ll make it out of titanium! Then mix it with tungsten to make it resistant to heat just in case—then coat the Medusa device with chromium so that if it was up in the air after the initial time travel, it won’t oxidize that quickly!" Chrome says.

Kaseki goes to work immediately after hearing that. “This is what that purple magician would say ‘ruel-cay.’” Why-Man commented when it heard that its fellow kin would be experimented on. “Our goal was to get replicated by you smart creatures, but here we are.” Why-Man imitates Xeno’s voice as he comments again. “You know, how about I send you there instead of this little fella?” Chrome asks. “I would rather float to the void outer space again rather than be an experiment,” Why-Man replied. Chrome looked at the charged Medusa device that came from the treasure island and decided.

“You’ll be the one going!” Chrome continues, “And you can’t say no, out of all your buddies that is right here and is currently on that pile that’s still in the amazon forest, you can conceal yourself better, see there are countless of radios on the old modern era so they might cause panic, you however have learned how to avoid that. Also, the modern era has more precise machines so maybe your deal might come earlier.” Why-Man replies, “Okay, I sure hope it goes that way.”

After a day, the Mobius strip that would surround Why-Man, their plan was complete.

Moz covered Why-Man with chromium, they put the mobious strip and put Why-Man at the center. Chrome turned on the time machine and it worked just like how Chrome had theorized. Then Why-Man emitted a signal, the signal that the others detected, and they copied the time machine's code. Chrome was shocked as he felt himself turn into stone.

‘Oh, I tried at least— now's the time to truly count just like Senkuu, ’ Chrome thought about how the other villagers also tried to think of things to stay awake, but just like Chrome. Suika was also counting to stay awake.

January 4, 2009, 7:14 pm, nothing happened really, Senkuu just texted those who remember that stone world, texted with Xeno and Stan (evil gay couple) to hopefully make them allies if he had to stay and experience the petrification event.

(If he fails to convince the Mountain of Medusa device here). Byakuya and Senkuu were celebrating his birthday. Senkuu was aware that if he went to his room, then the present that Byakuya prepared for him, a telescope and lots of science books, and stuff will be forgotten. He pretended not to know about the gifts as he ate the ramen that he had cooked. “Happy 5th birthday Senkuu.” Byakuya says as he puts a cake with the same thing he said written on top of it. “Thanks.” He blew the candles out as Byakuya popped a confetti. After 7:45 pm, Senkuu opened the door to his room to see the exact moment that moved his heart— even now, it moved his heart. Though he noticed a suspicious thing that looked exactly like Why-Man.

Senkuu clenched the Why-Man looking thing and went to approach Byakuya.

“Byakuya, where did you get this?” Senkuu asked as he held out the thing in his hands. “I saw it in a toy store. Thought you’d like it. It looks cool, right? Look, there’s a Mobius strip in it.” Byakuya says. “Haaaah, yeah, it looks cool,” Senkuu says as he immediately enters his room again. “Hey, why are you here? The petrification event was supposed to happen on June 3, 2019.” Senkuu asked as he poked Why-Man. “Haaah, ask your comrade who made this happen.” Why-Man replies with a quick flash of green. Chrome appeared, but he didn’t turn into a kid though, he still looked the same as Senkuu had last met him “What? Where?” Chrome looked around and saw a kid version of Senkuu.
