Justice League Chronicles Book 3: Fort Rozz

Summary:

To deal with the threat of Red Daughter using the Phantom Zone projector to release her father from the Zone, Supergirl rallies the entire Justice League to help her attack Fort Rozz. Part 7 of New World Chronicles.

Chapter 1

Summary:

Supergirl rallies the whole Justice League for this fight.

Chapter Text

Due to how big the situation on Fort Rozz was, Supergirl had called the entire Justice League in to help deal with it. Meaning herself, Superdog, Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Arrow, Martian Manhunter, both Green Lanterns, Flash, Vixen, Batwoman, Black Lightning, Doctor Fate, Aquaman, Ice Maiden, Black Canary, Spartan, Katana and Red Tornado, were all sitting around the League's assembly table.

"Okay, what was so big that you had to call in the entire Justice League on such short notice?" Ice Maiden asked, since she'd had to ditch helping Gabby move into her apartment for this.

"This." Supergirl said as she activated the table's hologram display to project an image of Fort Rozz.

"Is that what I think it is?" Green Lantern 2 asked.

"It's Fort Rozz. We finally managed to locate it in orbit over National City and it's the base of operations that Lora, or as she's calling herself now, Red Daughter and her forces are based out of. This is an all hands on deck situation since we'll be going up against the worst Krypton and other planets had to offer. The only thing worse than these creeps were the ones sentenced directly to the phantom zone without protection of being inside the fortress. And it's imperative that we take the prison, since Red Daughter managed to get her hands on the phantom zone projector." Supergirl said.

"What's a phantom zone projector?" Spartan asked as Supergirl switched the hologram to show the device.

"This is the phantom zone projector. Technology developed by Kryptonians to instantly send people into the phantom zone." Supergirl said.

"Why would this Red Daughter want it?" Batwoman asked.

"Because it's the key to freeing her parents and their army of criminals from the phantom zone, not to mention countless other criminals from all of the known 28 galaxies." Supergirl said.

"And her parents are?" Black Lightning asked, since most of them were unaware of Red Daughter's heritage.

"She's the daughter of General Zod." Supergirl said.

"I thought you killed Zod." Flash asked Superman, who shook his head.

"No, Just like Batman, I have a code live by. I never kill. But I let people think that Zod was dead to make sure that no one would ever try to free him or his troops. The truth is that when Zod first came to Earth, he invited me into his ship, since while our houses were sworn enemies, he also acknowledged that as a Kryptonian, I was a rare commodity and tried to recruit me to join his cause, which failed. But I accepted his offer in the hopes that I could find a way to defeat him and his army and I did." Superman said.

"You found the projector on Zod's ship." Batman said, since he'd always wondered where Superman had gotten the projector in the first place.

Superman nodded.

"Yeah and after I defeated Zod, despite the threat he and his army posed, I couldn't bring myself to kill them for the same reason that Zod hesitated to kill me when we first met. We might've been enemies, but they're still my people. So instead, I used the same phantom zone projector Zod used to free himself from the Zone initially to send his forces back there. Though because of how old the projector was, the strain of sending so many people there at once fried it, so I put it in the fortress of solitude as a sort of trophy and to keep it from falling into the wrong hands." Superman said.

"And then I did some additional damage to it to make sure that even if it did fall into the wrong hands, it couldn't be repaired by any earth technology. Unfortunately, Red Daughter and her army are using one of the only places on the planet with access to Kryptonian technology, Fort Rozz. The only saving grace is that it'll take time for them to salvage the parts they need to fix the projector there." Supergirl said.

"So what's the plan?" Green Arrow asked.

"Those of us with raw power and flight capabilities will get their attention by attacking the fortress head on. Meaning myself, Superman, Superdog, Wonder Woman, Red Tornado and both Green Lanterns. We'll do as much damage to the fortress as possible and try to draw Lora's forces outside the prison and maybe even knock it out of orbit. I'll be leading that squad. Once the distraction has taken effect, Doctor Fate will transport teams two and three aboard the station to take it by force. Team two will be led by Batman and will be made up of him, Green Arrow, Black Canary, Spartan, Batwoman, Katana and Black Lightning will take the west half of the prison while team three will be led by Martian Manhunter and will be made up of him, Flash, Ice Maiden, Aquaman, Doctor Fate and Vixen will take the east. The priority is to capture as many of these criminals as we can so the Green Lanterns can then transport them to Oa for reincarceration by the Green Lantern Corp. And if you have eyes on Red Daughter, do not engage her. Report it to the sky team immediately and then let the Kryptonians deal with her. But if you have eyes on the projector, make sure that it's completely destroyed." Supergirl said as the whole league nodded in understanding of the plan.

Chapter 2

Summary:

Lora's attempts to free her parents from the Phantom Zone get a rude interruption.

Chapter Text

"Why have I been summoned? I thought we agreed to keep contact minimal." the Wizard said as two of Lora's guards escorted him through Fort Rozz into the lab where Lora/Red Daughter, Indigo and Tal-Rho were waiting.

"I find myself in need of your particular set of skills." Lora said, though she was clearly reluctant to have to ask a human for help, even if it was one she'd made an alliance with, since this human was a master of one of the few things that could have any effect on kryptonians on earth. Magic.

"And I told you that I need to focus on strengthening my skills to prepare for combat against the daughters of Zatara, particularly his older daughter, since while she is more of a novice to magic than her sister, I have sensed an awakening of immense power in her. But I will not be denied my revenge after their father trapped me in that hell for so many years." The Wizard said.

"And no one understands your desire for revenge better than I do, considering that Superman's whole family did the same thing to mine twice. But in order to free my family from the hell they are trapped in, I need your assistance." Lora said, though she was reluctant to ask this of a human.

"What do you need from me?" The Wizard asked, since he understood Red Daughter's plight.

"Can you use your magic to repair this phantom zone projector, since while Indigo can with enough time, your magic is faster." Red Daughter asked and the Wizard sighed.

"If this were human technology, I'd say yes, but alien technology and earth magic do not mix well and I do not have the kind of knowledge of extraterrestrial mystic arts to properly repair it. I'd likely end up making things worse or wind up killing us all." The Wizard said regretfully.

"I told you he was useless." Indigo said.

"Can you open up the Phantom Zone directly, bypass the need for the projector at all?" Red Daughter asked, ignoring her girlfriend, since she knew Indigo was just jealous and feeling insecure in her abilities.

"Perhaps, if given enough time to do the research on the proper magic needed, since Zatara's imprisonment of me is proof that magic can breach the barriers between different realms, but I'll need to be cautious about it, since one wrong move could end up backfiring immensely." the Wizard said and that Red Daughter understood, since she'd waited this long, she could wait longer if it meant that they could get her parents out reliably without the projector.

"Keep me informed and as long as you keep up your end of our bargain, I'll keep up mine." Red Daughter said and the Wizard nodded, right before he froze.

"What is it?" Indigo asked him annoyingly.

"I sense someone approaching. Someone familiar. Nabu." the Wizard said.

"Doctor Fate." Red Daughter said, since she'd done her research on members of the Justice League after it was formed.

"And with them, comes the rest of the Justice League. They've found your refuge and are coming in force." The Wizard said, right as giant golden ankh appeared out of nowhere and when it faded, Doctor Fate was standing there, along with numerous other members of the Justice League, including Flash, Batman and Green Arrow, but Red Daughter noticed no Supergirl.

"Where's your leader, too scared to face me?" Red Daughter asked with a smirk, right before the fortress shook.

"No, she just wants to fight you in a place that's a bit more open." Flash said, as Fate pulled projected an image of Supergirl, along with Superman and the Lanterns, among others, flying outside the station and blasting it.

"Wizard, open a portal out there. She wants to fight me in the sky, that's fine with me." Lora said.

"It's a trap." Indigo said.

"I never said I was going alone. Mobilize our troops. Any who aren't on security right now should be preparing to join me outside. But make no mistake Kara Zor-El is mine." Red Daughter said.

"Just as Kal-El is mine." Tal said.

"I'll purge the station's systems to prevent the League from getting any of our intel." Indigo said as Wizard opened a door for Red Daughter and Tal to fly through, right before Doctor Fate engaged him in a mystic duel outside as well while the rest of the League continued with their respective missions.

Chapter 3

Summary:

Supergirl and Red Daughter engage in another battle.

Chapter Text

When Red Daughter flew out of the portal Wizard had conjured, she found Supergirl waiting for her.

"Nice to see you got my invitation, Red Daughter. And I see that you're wearing the suit the Kasnians made for you, though with a few changes. Particularly since it now has the crest of the house of Zod on it." Supergirl said.

"Please, like I'd ever let my family's crest touch something made by humans. This suit was made here on Fort Rozz, though I'll admit I did take inspiration from the Kasnians, since they do good work. I'll give them that much. But anyways, I see you finally figured out where we were hiding." Red Daughter said.

"Yep. I still can't believe I didn't figure it out sooner. Guess I'm not as smart as I thought." Supergirl said.

"You're truly a fool if you thought that your forces could take my army." Red Daughter said.

"You know we can. That's why you've been hiding from us. But I think that's enough talk." Supergirl said as she flew towards Red Daughter.

"For once we agree." Red Daughter as she flew towards her opponent, the two colliding in midair, sending a massive shockwave through the air.

And Supergirl wasn't the only one engaged in a one on one fight. While a majority of the sky team was busy fighting off the other Kryptonians who'd left the Fortress to defend it, Superman was currently engaged in a heat vision duel with his big brother, since Supergirl had filled him on the full story behind Tal's relation after the meeting at the Hall of Justice and Superman honestly felt sorry for his brother, since it sounded like his father Zeta Rho had prevented their mother Lara from even having a chance to raise him. He wondered if Tal would be a different man if he'd been raised by Lara instead.

"We don't have to fight each other Tal. We're brothers." Superman tried to insist as they both stopped using their heat vision and charged at each other to fight with their super strength.

"In blood only. But you are the only son Lara Lor-Van ever had." Tal said and Superman sighed, saddened by how far his brother had fallen.

"We're still brothers Tal. We can be. Just stop this madness." Superman tried to insist.

"It's too late. Just like how it's too late for you to ever see sense and join your own people. We've both traveled too far down the paths we've chosen. And neither of us even want to turn back now. But perhaps the other Kryptonian I saw down in those mines would be willing to submit. After all, she was rather ravishing and since Kara Zor-El shows no interest in me." Tal said and Superman wasn't sure whether to laugh or be revolted by Tal.

"You're kidding yourself if you think she'd ever side with you. She views Earth the same way I do. She might have been born Kryptonian, but she's more human where it counts. Just like me." Superman said.

"I suppose the only Kryptonian among your ranks who'd truly ever consider joining us is Kara Zor-El, since after all, she's the only true Kryptonian among you. One not only born on Krypton, but also lived on it. Something you never did. Her heart is still that of a Kryptonian, whereas your's never truly was Kal-El. And unfortunately, she's beyond help too. But it's just as well." Tal said as they continued fighting.

"You know you can't beat me Lora. Whenever we sparred back on Krypton, I always won and don't you dare try to say that you let me win, since we both know that General Zod would never tolerate that." Supergirl said.

"I've learned some new moves since those days." Red Daughter said.

"So have I." Supergirl said as she coughed Red Daughter's arm as she threw a punch and flung her over the shoulder and sent crashing into Fort Rozz.

"Still got it." Supergirl said with a smirk as she flew back towards Red Daughter to finish the fight.

Chapter 4

Summary:

Reinforcements arrive for the League.

Chapter Text

Green Lantern Alex Danvers was currently engaged in battle with numerous Kryptonians and while she was putting up a good fight, especially in the air, she was surrounded and outnumbered and most recently, her ring was running low on juice, since even though she and Hal had both given their rings a fresh charge up before they'd left for this mission, but with all the use she was putting it through, fighting the kryptonians, keeping herself in the air and allowing herself breathe this high in the atmosphere, it was running low and her will could only power it for so long. She was already having to ration out what power she did have to keep herself in the air, though that meant that she couldn't go on the offensive in the way she'd like to and she didn't exactly have an opening to summon her power battery to recharge, since she was swarmed and so was the rest of the sky team.

She was preparing to comm Hal to provide her with cover so she could recharge her ring, when suddenly the Kryptonians attacking her were attacked from behind by blue energy beams.

"What the?" Green Lantern asked, right as Blue Beetle flew up to her and she wasn't alone as both of the Thanagarian warriors who'd been assigned to Earth and lived and protected St. Roch under the mantles Hawkman and Hawkwoman, who were swinging their Nth metal weapons around at the Kryptonians, scattering them and giving Green Lantern some breathing room.

"Hey honey, hope you don't mind the help." Blue Beetle said and Green Lantern could tell her girlfriend was grinning under that face plate.

"Normally I'd be mad at you for putting yourself in danger in a Justice League mission, especially since I'm pretty sure that you only found out about it by hacking our comms, but right now, I'm just grateful for some breathing room since I need to recharge my ring before I fall out of the sky. Cover me." Green Lantern said and Blue Beetle nodded as her armor sprouted several cannons to provide cover as Green Lantern summoned her power battery and pressed her ring up above it and she could tell that it was just in time.

"Do not allow the Lantern to recharge her ring." one of the troops shouted as they attempted to converge on Green Lantern's position, but they were forced to break off due to the artillery fire from Blue Beetle's cannons.

"In brightest day, in blackest night, no evil shall escape my sight. Let those who worship evil's might, beware my power, Green Lantern's light." Green Lantern recited the oath of her Corp and her ring and battery glowed as her ring was brought back up to full power, at which point she sent her battery away.

"Now let's finish this." Green Lantern said with a grin, since now that her ring was fully charged, she'd stand a real chance against these Kryptonians.

"About time we got to work together." Blue Beetle said.

"We'll discuss this more later. For now, let's light these bastards up." Green Lantern said with a grin and Blue Beetle nodded as they fought back to back, the two of them working together just like they'd trained back at the Island.

Indigo was currently in the process of preparing her and Lora's escape craft, since she had no intention of surrendering and she knew that Lora didn't either. This whole fight was just a way to stall the League and buy time for her to finish transferring secure data to their ship before wiping the systems clean.

"Leaving so soon." a male voice said and Indigo was shocked as a male Coluan suddenly appeared out of nowhere.

"I wasn't aware there was another Coluan on Earth." Indigo said, since now things were getting interesting.

"And I wasn't aware that you were a coward who runs from fights. Not that you have anywhere left to run, since during my trip here, I essentially froze you out of the internet here on Earth, so you can't escape that way." the other Coluan said.

"That implies I intend to stay on Earth when this battle is lost." Indigo said.

"You're smart enough to know that, but not smart enough to know to surrender." the other Coluan said.

"A Brainiac never surrenders." Indigo said.

"That much you are correct about. My name is Querl Dox, but most people call me Brainiac 5. And I am far superior to you, Brainiac 8, for I am a 12th level intellect and you are merely a 6.9 level intellect." Brainy said.

"How dare you." Indigo said as she lunged at him.

Chapter 5

Summary:

The battle comes to an end.

Chapter Text

After reinforcements arrived for the League, the battle began to quickly wind down, since the addition of Blue Beetle, the Hawks, Brainy and now Etrigan the Demon, the battle was quickly winding down, since most of the Kryptonians had now fallen from the sky, leading to the Green Lanterns to land and contain them, with help from Doctor Fate, who'd joined them after the Wizard had fled.

And based on reports from Batman, Green Arrow and Brainy, Supergirl could tell that they'd nearly finished taking the inside of Fort Rozz, since all of the soldiers still inside the base, including Non, who ironically had been locked back up in a stasis cell, likely back when Lora seized control of the army from him.

The only ones left still in the sky were Lora and Tal. Now Supergirl was just wondering which of them would betray the other to make their escape.

Especially since she, Superman, Red Tornado, Hawkman, Hawkwoman, Blue Beetle and Etrigan had them surrounded and pinned back to back.

"Give up. You know there's no way you can escape us now." Supergirl said, even though she knew neither of them would.

"We'll never yield to you." Tal said.

"Well, one of us will." Red Daughter said with a smirk as she grabbed Tal and used him to break the barricade.

"What?" Tal asked.

"Nothing personal Tal, but I have to choose between fighting a losing fight with you, or sacrificing you to escape with Indigo, well, that's an easy choice. And we both know that you were planning on doing the same thing to me. Bye." Red Daughter said with a smirk as she activated the teleporter Indigo had installed in her suit to vanish.

"Where'd she go?" Supergirl asked as Superman restrained his brother.

"The cargo hold. There's an escape craft there that Indigo has been preparing." Tal said.

"And why should we trust you?" Hawkman asked.

"Because if she's going to betray me, why shouldn't I return the favor?" Tal asked with a smirk.

"He's right. We can trust his desire for revenge on someone who betrayed him. Infiltration team, head to the cargo hold, try to head Red Daughter and Indigo off before they can escape." Supergirl said over the comms, right as they heard an explosion from the fortress as it began to fall from the sky, right as a small ship ejected from it.

"They're escaping." Hawkman said.

"Forget them. Superman, drop Tal off with the others and then you, me, Hawkman, Hawkwoman, Red Tornado, Blue Beetle, Wonder Woman and Martian Manhunter are going to get underneath the prison and try to slow its descent, maybe push out of the atmosphere. Doctor Fate, portal all other League members of the station to help guard the prisoners. We have to make sure that the prison doesn't crush the city beneath it. Superdog, help them." Supergirl said as she and the others flew to intercept the prison before it could crush National City.

"Damn this thing is heavy." Blue Beetle said as she and the others attempted to slow down and steer the prison away from National City so it would land in the bay.

"No kidding, even we're finding it tough to hold it." Supergirl agreed, referring to herself, Superman and Wonder Woman, the three big powerhouses of the League in this case.

"Do you need additional help?" Hal asked over the comms.

"No. Brainy, are you still aboard the prison?" Supergirl asked.

"Yes and as I predicted your plan, I am already working to unlock the ship's engines to give it some extra thrust to help guide the ship into the bay." Brainy said.

"Excellent. Hit the thrusters as soon as you're able to restore power to them." Supergirl said.

"Understood and that should happen in three, two, one." Brainy said, right as the ship's engines fired and it became easier for the heroes to guide it into the bay, where it landed safely and Justice Leaguers flew out of the ocean to dry off before going to return to the others.

Chapter 6

Summary:

Justice League finishes wrapping loose ends following their raid.

Chapter Text

After making sure that Fort Rozz was safely secured in the bay of National City, Supergirl had activated its cloaking tech and Aquaman had assigned some of his best guards to protect the prison until it could be safely removed from Earth and likely sent into the sun.

All the criminals that had been apprehended in the raid were now in DEO holding cells and wearing alien power dampening cuffs to keep them contained until the Green Lantern Corps arrived to transport them to Oa for proper reincarceration. With one notable exception.

Superman couldn't bring himself to let his brother be sent to Oa with the others, since despite his crimes, he was still his brother and Superman had hope that he could reform his older brother. Which was why he was being held in the very prison cell that Batman had constructed years ago to contain him, should he ever go rogue. The cell was designed to keep Tal exposed to red sunlight at all times and only a select few knew it's location to prevent him from ever being freed, since he didn't trust the DEO or any branch of the government to contain his brother, afraid of what the US Government would do if they found out Tal was his brother.

All scans had indicated that Lora and Indigo had fled from Earth and had kept their ship cloaked to avoid detection.

And now the Justice League was gathered in the Hall of Justice to discuss next steps and they'd invited the heroes who'd stepped up to help them to take a tour of the Hall after the meeting was over. Etrigan had declined and said that while he'd help if he deemed it necessary, he wasn't a teamplayer and had flown away to do god knows what.

The others had accepted the offer and were currently waiting in the lounge for the Justice League to finish up their meeting.

"Thank you all again for helping us wrap up Fort Rozz. The fact that it's inmates are loose on Earth has been weighing on me for awhile, since even though it wasn't intentional, it is my fault that prison left the Phantom Zone in the first place." Supergirl said.

"You were asleep in your pod, you had no control over that." Batman was the one to say.

"Maybe, but that doesn't do much to help. But now, with a few exceptions, all of the criminals who were a part of Non's army, including Non himself, are now in holding cells, awaiting transport to Oa, where they will be reincarcerated, unless the Guardians see fit to send them back to the Phantom Zone, which I doubt will ever become necessary." Supergirl said.

"There is one Kryptonian we're keeping." Green Arrow noted.

"I know it may not be smart, but Tal's my brother and no matter what he's done, I can't bring myself to give up on him until I've at least tried to reform him." Superman said.

"I think that plenty of us have family members who are complicated to say the least. None of us can blame you for wanting to try to reach out to him, but he has to want that kind of redemption, you can't force it." Batman said.

"Which is why he's being held in the same cell you built to hold me in the event that I ever went rogue, since there's no way I trust any government to keep a kryptonian prisoner, not even the DEO." Superman said.

"Which is why his cell will be maintained by my company's new robotic drones, which have been upgraded with Brainy's future tech to provide him with meals and other basic services, along with serving as guards, since most members of the League have normal lives that they can't abandon to serve guard duty. Only founding members of the League will have access to Tal's cell to minimize the chance of it being discovered by any of his associates." Supergirl said.

"And what about Red Daughter and Indigo? Do we have any idea where they're heading?" Wonder Woman asked.

"No, but the Green Lantern Corp has been alerted and a few Lanterns have been selected to hunt them down." Hal said.

"Good. Because one thing Lora has in common with her father is that she won't give up until she gets what she wants." Supergirl said.

"It's too bad the projector was destroyed in the fight." Green Arrow said.

"It was, but I think I can build a new one, since not only is it a way to deal with villains like Zod, but it also serves as an additional failsafe in case any Justice League member goes rogue, especially those of us with powers." Supergirl said.

"Not a bad idea." Batman agreed.

"Is there anything else that we need to discuss at this emergency meeting?" Aquaman asked as Supergirl looked at Batman, who nodded.

"Actually, there are a couple. First off, I think it's time to alter the bylaws of the League so that we can have more than one induction ceremony per year, since I'd like to nominate Blue Beetle, Hawkman and Hawkwoman for immediate membership and it's not fair that they have to wait till the end of the year." Supergirl said as she put both matters up to a vote and the League had a unanimous yes on both.

"Okay then, we have three new members, but why not Brainy?" Alex asked.

"I don't want to recruit heroes that the world doesn't know and haven't earned the public's trust yet." Supergirl said and the others nodded.

"Anything else?" Flash asked.

"There's one more thing. This will likely be our last meeting at the Hall of Justice." Batman said.

"What do you mean?" Black Lightning asked as Supergirl pressed a few buttons on her terminal to pull up a hologram of a new space station.

"Say hello to the Watchtower. A brand new orbital space station. It was originally created as a joint project between Argo Enterprises and Wayne Enterprises to expand our studies into space and has been in the development process over the past 6 years. After we formed the League, Bruce and I decided to convert it to serve as a new base of operations for the League that doesn't make it look like the League is exclusive to any one nation or make a regular city a tactical target by attacking us. We also brought Queen Consolidated into it." Supergirl said.

"You knew?" Black Canary asked her fiance.

"I was sworn to secrecy until it was finished." Green Arrow said.

"Even the other founding members didn't know about it until now. The station will serve as a much better base of operations for the Justice League, since it was just completed last week and we're preparing for launch. We'll announce our new members at the ceremony the president is insisting on throwing for the launch." Supergirl said.

"This place looks incredible. Please tell me we're getting a tour of the station before it launches." Flash said.

"Of course. And sorry about keeping it secret, but we couldn't risk word getting out about it before it was ready." Supergirl said as the others waved it off in understanding as they wrapped up their meeting.

Chapter 7

Summary:

Supergirl gives the Justice League a tour of the Watchtower.

Chapter Text

A few days later found Supergirl leading the Justice League to an Argo Enterprises aerospace facility in National City, where the Watchtower was being prepared to launch.

"Wow, this place is amazing." Flash said as Supergirl led the League on a tour of the Watchtower. Starting at the bottom of the station in the reactor room.

"Thank you. I've had my top scientists develop this station using not only our highly advanced Earth technology, but also by using Kryptonian technology Superman and I have donated, Martian technology from J'onn and even some Thanagarian technology Hawkman and Hawkgirl donated when they first arrived. The exterior of the station is constructed of a one of a kind alloy created from an experimental mixture of Promethium, the strongest metal on Earth and Nth Metal, the strongest metal in the universe to create an even stronger alloy. It's practically indestructible and since I'm a big believer in redundancy, I insisted on this place having multiple different power sources. The main source of power is actually Kryptonian. It's something from the stockroom on the Island and was donated to Argo Enterprises by Supergirl. It's called an omegahedron." Supergirl said as she led them into the reactor room to reveal a small sphere plugged in.

"That little thing can power this entire station?" Green Arrow asked skeptically.

"It's alien tech. Omegahedrons have the ability to manipulate matter to a degree and we used them as energy sources on Krypton. It has enough energy to power an entire city for decades. Which is why my company is working on a way to reverse engineer an earth version of it. But anyways, this Omegahedron is powering this entire space station. The power source is also shielded against EMPs, electromagnetic pulses. But, in the event that something does manage to disable the omegahedron, the station also has a next generation Solar Tower that works similar to the solar pods that Superman and I have in the Fortress of Solitude and the Island respectively. The tower is constantly absorbing energy from the sun, 24/7 and optimizes it more efficiently than any solar panel on the market. The station has numerous other power sources as well." Supergirl said as she led them throughout the rest of the station.

After the reactor room, the tour continued on through the rest of the station as the league made their way up. The next stop was the engine room, including the kryptonian worker drones based off of Kelex's design that were charged with maintaining and repairing the engines when needed, along with the life support hub, maintaining the station's gravity, oxygen and everything else. All of which came from technology provided by J'onn and the Hawks.

The next level of the Watchtower was primarily a storage space, where they kept extra equipment when they needed to.

The next level up was the hangar, which was large enough to accommodate Hawkman and Hawkwoman's ship, the Javelin, along with Batman and Batwoman's planes, which Supergirl had upgraded with space capabilities, along with numerous other crafts, along with allowing members of the League who could fly a direct route inside.

The next level was the training room, which, in addition to your standard gym equipment, was also equipped with a state of the art training simulator.

The next floor was a bit different, since this one had a commissary with a fully stocked kitchen and a new food synthesizer, that used highly advanced and complicated technology to fabricate whatever food the user desired. The only member of the League who truly understood how it worked was Supergirl, since she was the only real super genius in the League at this time.

Also on this level was a lounge area for members to chill out in, complete with televisions, computers, couches and other different recreational activities, along with living quarters for any members of the League who needed to crash there overnight.

The next level of the station includes the armory, more storage spaces, and a laboratory, along with the station's zeta tubes to allow Leaguers who couldn't fly to access it.

Finally, they arrived at the top of the station, which was the command center, complete communications equipment and a monitoring station, where Supergirl explained that each Justice League member would continue taking shifts on monitor duty to keep a constant look out on Earth.

And the stop on the tour was the new meeting room, which now had a large rectangular table in it, with enough seats for all their members, their seats dictated by the symbols on each chair.

"So, what do you guys think?" Supergirl asked as they all took their seats for their first meeting in their new base.

"I think that this is a definite upgrade, but what's gonna happen to the Hall of Justice?" Flash asked.

"We're converting it into a museum, not just for the League, but for all the heroes who came before it. Including the Justice Society of America and the Seven Soldiers of Victory. It's time the world knew of their first heroes." Supergirl said and she could tell that Wonder Woman was especially happy about that.

"Thank you. It's long past time my friends got the credit they deserve." Wonder Woman said and Supergirl nodded.

"Well, if that's all, I'll see you all back here next week for the official launch ceremony." Supergirl said as she ended the meeting.

Sinestro couldn't believe his luck. After Hal Jordan had exposed him for the rogue lantern he'd become and had the Guardians throw him in the science cells on Oa after seizing his green power ring, he received a does of good luck in the form of Oa's prison being understaffed due to the number of Lanterns that had been deployed to Earth to help Hal and Alex transport the Fort Rozz escapees that had been recaptured and he'd managed to escape from Oa. And it was time for him to finish what he'd started before he'd been arrested.

After hijacking a space pod from Oa, Sinestro had traveled to Qward to pick up the package he'd paid for before he'd been exposed. Since he had no intention of ever wearing a green power ring again, nor would he ever get the chance too, now he had the chance to embrace an even greater power and color. A yellow ring fueled by the power of fear. The opposite of the Guardians' feeble green power of will. And a power that Sinestro suspected was far stronger than Willpower had ever been, but the Guardians had been afraid to use it.

Which was ironic, since all the fear did was help power his ring. After he retrieved his prize from Qward and hid the yellow lantern battery that powered it somewhere only he could find it, Sinestro immediately headed for Earth, intent on getting his revenge on Hal and Alex for exposing them and for defiling the Corp with inferior human beliefs. If anyone earthling had to join the Corp, why couldn't it have been one of the Kryptonians.

Anyways, Sinestro had used the distraction created the by the transfer of prisoners to Oa to sneak past the Lanterns and their justice league, landing in Zurich, far away from them, though he was forced to maintain a low profile, since he'd instantly stand out on Earth as an alien, which would immediately draw attention to himself on Earth, since unlike most planets, where the indigenous population wouldn't think much of it, Earth would immediately notice his alien appearance, since while for the most part his physiology looked more human that most alien races, his red skin and pointed ears would immediately give him away.

Fortunately, one of the perks he'd made sure his new ring had like his old ring was that he could use it to make himself look human. Though his time on Earth would be limited. Once he'd gotten his revenge on this planet's Green Lanterns, he'd return to his homeworld of Korugar and take back control of his planet, since before he'd been deposed, he'd used his ring to rule his world and bring about a just, perfect society. Until a rebellion had called him a tyrant that abused his power and wanted him gone had succeeded.

Anyways, Sinestro had landed in what the humans called Zurich Germany, since from what he could tell from the few mission reports he'd seen on Oa regarding Earth, the nation called the United States was the home of the Lanterns, it was also where the rest of their Justice League was too and he was no match for them alone. Not without a plan.

However, he was pulled from his thoughts when he heard a male voice say his name.

"Hello Sinestro." a bald man said as he approached him.

"What are you talking about?" Sinestro asked, trying to deny it.

"Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Lex Luthor and I know that you're not just another tourist. You're one of too many alien criminals seeking refuge on my planet." Lex said calmly.

"I assume you know who I am and what I have and that you're not alone." Sinestro said.

"Correct. My associates are everywhere and they are more than a match for you. So tell me why I shouldn't give them the go ahead to kill you and rid this planet of another alien who wants to impose his will on humanity." Lex said.

"You have the wrong idea. I'm only here to get revenge on the Lanterns who locked me up. Particularly the original one." Sinestro said.

"And once you get that?" Lex asked.

"Then I go home to impose my will on my own planet." Sinestro assured him.

"In that case, allow me to offer my assistance in speeding up your revenge to get you off my planet." Lex said.

"And what could you possibly offer me?" Sinestro asked as Lex just grinned before he used his watch to open a transmatter portal.

"Come with me and find out." Lex said as he walked through and since he was intrigued, Sinestro followed him.

"Welcome to what's been dubbed the Hall of Doom." Lex said as they walked into a swamp where a large building appeared.

"An impressive building. Where did it come from?" Sinestro asked.

"I had this compound built when I first began my war with Superman. A safe place to go when my connections could no longer keep me out of prison. And then when the big blue boyscout joined the Justice League, I knew I couldn't beat him by myself, so I decided to take a page from his book and build a team of my own. But not a league. More like a Legion. Meet my associates." Lex said as numerous people emerged from the building, each of them looking nothing like Sinestro pictured humans to look like.

"Meet Cheetah, Bane, Ocean Master, Black Manta, Captain Cold, Heat wave, Toyman, Metallo and Black Adam. And each of them has a particular vendetta against at least one member of the Justice League. Just like how I hate Superman and Supergirl for that matter and you hate both Green Lanterns. None of us have the power to take down the League alone. So it makes sense that we work together to do what none of us can do alone. The only question is, are you in?" Lex asked and Sinestro grinned.

"I think this is the beginning of a beautiful partnership." Sinestro said as he and Lex shook hands.

"Then welcome to the Legion of Doom. Soon we'll be ready to face the Justice League and make this world and all others ours." Lex said with a grin, which Sinestro shared, though they both knew they were just using each other as a means to an end, which was fine with them, since at least they both knew it.

Chapter Text

"I'm still not sure this is a good idea." Lora said to her girlfriend as their ship approached its destination.

"We have no other choice. We need resources and protection until we can find a way to free your parents and this is the only place Kara Zor-El wouldn't dare come to search for you. It's one of the only planets Krypton ever feared." Indigo said.

"Every sane planet in the universe fears this one and for good reason." Lora said.

"I know. But you have a common enemy. Earth is of interest to both of you. Use that to your advantage." Indigo said.

"You're assuming he won't kill us for coming to his world unannounced." Lora said as they came out of lightspeed to see the worst planet in the universe in front of them. The planet looked like a living hell, which was appropriate, considering that's exactly what it was, complete with fire geysers blasting from the north and south poles.

"Apokolips. The planet my parents used to scare me into behaving when I was a child. I can't believe I'm coming here willingly." Lora said as Indigo tightened grip on Lora's hand.

"We have no other options. And hopefully he'll be in a good mood." Indigo said.

"I would not count on that." a new voice said as suddenly a deformed man in a blue cloak said as he appeared on their ship via boomtube.

"Desaad. Chief torturer of Apokolips." Lora said with distaste towards this creature.

"What could bring Kryptonians to my master's doorstep?" Desaad asked.

"Only one of us is a Kryptonian. I'm Coluan." Indigo corrected before she could stop herself.

"Do you really think that this is the best time to be correcting me?" Desaad snapped.

"What do you want? We came here to appeal to your master directly." Lora asked.

"No one speaks to my master without my approval." Desaad said as Indigo still managed to land the ship.

"Really, even if they're offering to be his agents as a way around his treaty with New Genesis." Lora asked, knowing that would get their attention.

Before Desaad could respond, a boomtube opened underneath all three of them and they fell through.

When they came out of the boom tube, Lora quickly grabbed Indigo and flew so they wouldn't land on their asses in what had to be the throne room.

"Stand down Desaad. I am interested in what this Kryptonian has to say. Her father was always one of the few Kryptonians I found amusement with." a new voice said from the shadows.

"As you wish, master." Desaad said as he backed away from Lora and Indigo, though giving them distasteful looks.

"Thank you for seeing us." Lora said.

"I have been keeping an eye on your new planet for years. Ever since Superman became active. He is one of the few beings in this galaxy not of New Genesis that is a true pain in my side. But I know why you have come. You wish my assistance in freeing your parents from the living death of the Phantom Zone." the voice said.

"Only so that we can serve you and maybe serve as your regents on Earth after we help you conquer it. Think of it. A world of super powered Kryptonians under your control. Unlike the original Krypton, which opposed you." Lora said.

"I admit your proposal is intriguing and it would allow me to make moves on Earth without risking retaliation from New Genesis. And I know that even your father at the height of his madness was still smart enough to know not to cross me. I will consider your request and in the team allow you both to remain here as our guests. For now. I suggest you find ways to make yourselves useful to help sway my decision." the voice said as its owner finally walked out of the shadows, to reveal a hulking terror with grey skin and wearing dark blue battle armor with glowing red eyes.

"We appreciate your consideration Lord Darkseid." Lora said as she and Indigo wisely bowed down to who they recognized as their new master.

Darkseid grinned as new ideas came to his mind.

Notes:

Desaad is played by Steve Buscemi and Darkseid himself is played by none other than the late great James Earl Jones.

This is the last chapter. Next up will be another installation of Justice League Inductions and then after that, back to the main series. Hope you liked this little crossover.
