Mav throws his head back, laughing as Goose pats his shoulder in both support and sympathy. When he straightens back up, elbows on the counter, his eyes automatically return to the other side of the room and a shiver rushes through him.
Because judging from the way Iceman's head snaps down to stare at his drink, he was looking.
"He's not gonna punch me, Goose," he says, watching Iceman openly now, hoping the other pilot can feel him looking right back.
Or, Mav is obsessed, so he makes the sparks fly.
