Chapter 1: The Case of Sparrow
Summary:
The day after Fall break, Leaf makes a new feathery friend, what happened to that friend may shock you.
Chapter Text
October 18th, 2010.
Today was the first day back from the fall break where way too much happened.
It was now an open secret to Leaf's family that he was gay (As if it wasn't blatantly obvious before Chip basically treated him like his girlfriend,) and for the most part, his family was supportive! (Especially since they were ultra progressive hippies (To some extent)), so he couldn't complain.
Anyways, while he was biking his way home, a creature would follow him. "Oh! Hey there buddy!" he would coo. The animal flew closer and went onto his index finger like he was some Disney princess. This creature (If you couldn't guess already) was a bird, specifically, an Eastern Blue bird. He patted the bird with his other index finger not realizing he was riding his bike.
He would stumble a little before he regained balance. He would feed the bird some little crumbs of bread from his lunch that day. "You're my buddy now, and I'll name you, Sparrow!" he creatively named his Eastern Blue bird, after this snack break, the two rode off into the distance to the Coneybear residence.
Once home, Leaf and his buddy saw what the average day in the Coneybear's house was like, his mom and dad making food out of scratch, Landscape and Raisin fighting over a very dingy looking fake radio that only played the hand selected records his parents allowed the kids to listen to, Pinecone on the carpet drawing what was probably some anime thing with Paul, and Marigold probably being upstairs because she was a bad girl who does bad things (I apologize Lesbians).
"Leaf, what do you got their sweetie?" his mom asked stirring the concoction in her wooden pot with her wooden spoon. "Oh! I'm glad you asked because when I was walking home, I was riding my bike, and I was going all crazy because it's a long a treacherous road ahead, and then, this little guy flew over and he is now my child and I named him Sparrow," the young boy would ramble excitedly, doing dramatic voices and running around in the process. "Dear, you know that birds like the one on your finger shouldn't be kept inside, right?" she said kind of condescendingly, his younger siblings laughed, Paul did two. "Well, yeah, I do, but BUT I can open my window, and Sparrow can live in the tree that's just outside my window," he would explain, kind of proving her point more. His mom didn't even bother, so he just ran upstairs to his room, opening his window, and the bird flew out the window, sitting on the tree branch.
While Leaf did some of his homework, he fed the bird some bird food that he kept in his pocket, and once he went to sleep, he pet his bird goodnight.
October 19th, 2010.
The next day at school, Sparrow followed Leaf to school, accompanying him on his school day.
"GUYS!!! Look at my new friend!" Leaf excitedly told his friends, they honestly expected this because that is their nature loving friend. "Leaf, how did even manage to get a new-" "HE'S SO CUTE!!!" Marcy at first tried to reason with Leaf on how he was able to just friend a bird all willy nilly, but then she was interrupted by Chip and Logainne who absolutely loved the bird. "Where'd you find him bro?" the two kids pet the bird. "So, yesterday as I was leaving school on my bike, and while I was peddling, Sparrow just flew to me, AND he landed on my finger," He would explain his story excitedly, but not too excitedly as to not make the bird fly away. Hearing the story, William does not believe him.
"So, a bird just, followed you home? And YOU took it home?" Leaf just nodded, smiling, "Yup! I did!" William didn't even bother questioning him any further.
As the day continued, the bird friend would follow Leaf everywhere and wouldn't leave the classroom when the teachers don't allow the boy to have some random bird in their room. But then, in third period, the bird vanished. Leaf didn't fully notice his now absent friend, that was until lunch time when he got to the gang's table.
Near his seat, there was a huge pile of feathers, and in the center, was the carcass of a bird, not just any bird, but "SPARROW!!! NOOOOOOOO!!!!!" He would gasp, dramatically screaming. "What is all of this ruckus Leaf- GET THAT AWAY FROM ME!!!!" William walked up to Leaf, seeing Sparrow's dead body, and immediately joined in on his screaming. Olive followed afterwards, "Uh, what happened to that bird-" "SAVE ME OSTROVSKY!" William noticed the girl and instantly clinged to her as tightly as possible. "Barf, Leaf, what happened here?" she would ask, geinuenly confused by the scene before the three. "I uh, I don't know!" Leaf was getting worried and upset, "He was following me most of the day, then suddenly he was gone and then-" "Hey gang how are you guys-" "SPARROW!" Chip was next to the sight; he noticed the bird he also loved as if it were his and Leaf's kid. He ran up to it and "NOOOOO!!!!" He fell to his hands and knees, holding the dead body of the bird as if he was mourning this bird he barely knew. "You are DISGUSTING Pta boy" William still clunged to his friend, spouting his judgements at Chip, the boy on the ground turned to him. "Oh, do you want it Barf?" He started to dangle the corpse at him, "Do you want this bird-" "I want you to SHUT UP-" "YOU SHUT UP-" "NO YOU". The two boys did what they did best, fight. They were screaming (William covering Olive's ears as to not overwhelm her), the boys were face to face with Chip holding that rancid dead body.
"Guys, calm down!" Marcy and Logainne both finally made it over to the table, holding hands until *SMACK* Marcy was hit by the dead bird due to William chucking the bird out of Chip's hand. Olive and Leaf were trying to calm the two boys, but then, "Is this?" Logainne started to question, Leaf nodded, "Yes Logainne, our friend Sparrow, is no longer with us," the little girl would start dramatically crying, Olive and Leaf would then go up to comfort Logainne as Marcy place the dead bird on a napkin.
"So, this is what you guys were VERY LOUDLY screaming about, this ruckus?" Marcy asked, annoyed as she could hear them from across the school. "This isn't just 'Ruckus' Gramercy, our beloved Sparrow had died," Chip would say, holding Marcy's shoulder, which she immediately backed away from since he was touching the corpse the most out of everyone. "In honor of our friend, I will be hosting a funeral in my backyard after school today," Leaf would announce.
After school came around, all the kids sat around a hole that was dug by Olive and Logainne, they all wore black and cried as Leaf placed Sparrow into the hole, placing the dirt over the hole. Flowers would be placed on the dirt. It was all a depressing sight, that was until, "Hey little lad!" a different blue bird flew to Leaf's finger, "Guys! Meet my other bird friend, Blue Jay!" he said while smiling. The other kids just looked at each other, suspicious at the sudden appearance of a blue bird.
"So, you are telling me that your bird friend that you claim to love SO MUCH died, and you instantly replaced him with a new, younger bird?" William accused Leaf, standing up to point at him. Chip got up to his no homo buddy's defense, "Um, you do realize the bird just came by him?" he said. "Well then, why did it only come in this very moment," William questioned, Chip was now getting defensive, "It's a bird! I doubt it knew any better,". Logainne pulled out her debate table from her pocket, and everyone moved up to Leaf's treehouse that was on the verge of collapse.
The teens all sat in a designated spot at the debate table. "Are you sure there is enough evidence to prove anything?" Marcy would ask, kind of fed up with the non-sense. "Yeah! This would just be us screaming at each other for no real reason," Olive agreed, adding her own take silently. Logainne huffed, "UGH! SERIOUSLY GUYS? I PULLED OUT MY TABLE FOR NOTHING!?!?" she put the table back in her pocket (With the Obama image still there), but she guessed the two girls had a valid point. No one had enough evidence to throw accusations around; Leaf also needed a defense before he is just thrown into a debate.
October 20th, 2010.
Leaf would go back to the pile of feathers that for some reason hadn't been picked up. He was full detective mode just like he was Inspector Gadget or something.
He pulled out some dingy looking magnifying glass as well as some fingerprint technology that he stole from science class when the teacher wasn't looking. He started to take photos of the crime scene with Olive's camera which she generously gave him, while looking through the scene, he discovered somethings that even he didn't see coming.
The six were all back in Leaf's tree house, sitting in the spot at the debate table that was assigned to them by their moderator, Logainne. "Today, we are all here to discuss the case of Sparrow (GUYS!?!? ITS THE CHAPTER TITLE). The debate started after Logainne smacked her hand on the pad that stood in front of her spot. "So, it was October 19th, and Sparrow was by my side all morning, until around 10 am, which could have been when he first vanished," Leaf started to explain the order of events, having out a drawing of everything going on, the other 5 looked and listened intently. "And once lunch hit, we all saw the corpse of our friend, but what if I told you," he then went into his pocket for the Ziplock bag with the surprising twist of the century, once found he held it up, "There were two!" he plopped the bag onto the table, the others passed the bag around to each other to examine what was a shocking truth.
"So, you're saying," "The body we buried was," "A FAKE" the other five kids gasped. "BUT WAIT-" William would yell, smacking the table, and standing up. "How exactly do we know that the dead body in that bag is the real deal?" he pointed at the bag, Leaf motioned him to sit down which he absolutely wasn't doing. "Well, I noticed that this body was actually an Eastern blue bird because its color was darker blue, which is closer in line for an Eastern blue bird," Leaf explained, this led Chip to speak. "So, if that body is fake, then BARFY, why were you so against touching it?" Chip stood up at his area, facing William who was getting worked up and defensive. "Well, HOW WAS ANYONE SUPPOSED TO KNOW???" Chip clapped one clap, getting all cocky, "See, the MURDER is getting defensive, is it because YOU DID IT!" Chip would taunt, crossing his arms. "Don't get too in your head Chip," Marcy would state, "Because when I went over to the crime scene, look who's light pink earring I found in the feathers with the corpse," Marcy held out a bag with the earring.
"OSTROVSKY!?!?!?!" Both boys yelled, looking at Olive who was just sitting there quietly. "I mean, she has been very VERY quiet since we started this trial," Chip realized, "OH! AND SHE BASICALLY MURDERER BARFBAG'S GIRLFRIEND SO," "What if," "THEY BOTH KILLED THE BIRD AND DISGUISED IT AS A DIFFERENT ONE?!?!?!" Marcy and Chip were both in synced, causing the other two to get even more nervous. "Well," Chip handed Marcy a flashlight, "Explain yourself," Marcy flashed it in her face, interrogating her. "Marcy, you realized that won't help anything-" "CAN IT MUSH BOY! Explain yourself, or else," William tried to reason, Marcy would not budge. "AM I REALLY THAT," basically everyone else there nodded. "Well, the crime couldn't have been committed by me because when I was at the crime scene, I noticed THIS," Olive had a bag with a lot of hair tinsel, guess who had tinsel in her hair in the very moment.
"MARCY!?!??!" Olive snatched the flashlight from Marcy's hands, the flash still on. "So, EXPLAIN YOURSELF!" she yelled loudly, her audio control issues were still not the best, so everyone else's eardrums basically exploded. Marcy put her hands up as if she was surrendering, that was until. "Well, I noticed something SUSPISCOUS in a particular someone's pocket," in a smaller bag, Marcy had put the toenails of the bird as well as a strand of Chip's hair.
"HA! I KNEW IT!" William stood up again, pointing at Chip whose eyes were wide, he was getting heated, the others could see it in his face. "YOU'RE THE MURDER!!! I KNEW IT! I KNEW IT!" William continued to scream, he then went up to Logainne. "Call it over Logainne because our culprit is RIGHT IN FRONT OF US-" *BAM*
"BLUE JAY!?!?!" Leaf instantly recognized his friend, the others just turned to see the bird who looked innocent enough, chirping like a bird does, but Leaf didn't buy it. He put a ear close to what the bird was saying, "What's he saying Leaf?" Logainne asked, everyone getting more and more invested. Leaf listened more and more until, "A-HA!" he yelled. "Well guys, I found our culprit, my once friend, BLUE JAY!!!" Another dramatic gasp came out from everyone's lips.
Somehow, Blue Jay formed sentient thoughts of murder because of how jealous he was of Sparrow and the attention Leaf gave to the other bird. So, he would run into the bird, leading it to get accidently ran over by the janitor's chart, but, then a SIMILAR looking bird (the one that was buried) was accidentally shot, it's body and feathers landing on Sparrow's corpse.
This mystery was crazy for everyone, Blue Jay was placed in bird jail, and Leaf sighed out of relief that none of his friends were crazy enough to murder a bird.

Chapter 2: Halloween of Terror (And Cheap Costumes)
Summary:
Today is Halloween! And the gang (+ Marigold and her gf) go to a haunted house!
Chapter Text
October 31st, 2010.
Today was a big day for the gang as it was Halloween! Not only that, but they all agreed to go to a haunted house in the town center.
Chip arrived first due to the fact that he lived very close to the area, which meant that getting there was not too painfully long. He would stand around dressed as Babe Ruth (His favorite baseballer) and waited until, he spotted another person he recognized.
He spotted someone dressed up as Hiliary Cliton, and yup, who else would it be besides Logainne? Once she got up to him, he started to laugh. "Really? THAT is your costume?" he made fun of the costume with the Party City wig; she rolled her eyes and huffed. "SHUT UP! At least I'm not a DEAD baseballer," she mocked back causing Chip to get annoyed, he would push her. "WOAH! NOW YOUR PUSHING WOMEN!?!??" she screamed at him. The two continued their fighting.
"Sheila, WHY are you wearing that?" William asked, annoyed at his mom's Sexy Brian Griffin costume (Yes, she chose to wear this), and her son was getting embarrassed. "But WILLIE, I thought it was cute," William face palmed and sighed, "Sheila, my friends are going to have a FIELD DAY if they see you like this, and OLIVE IS GOING TO SEE YOU LIKE-" "Why do you specifically care about what she thinks?" he blushed like a bright tomato over this comment, she would just laugh. The two finally made it to the area all the others were at and the boy met up to his friends. "OH GOD! Logainne look, we have the WORST COSTUME OF THE YEAR!" Chip would make fun of William's costume, which was a Bacteriophage. How does one come up with/ dress up in this costume? No one will ever know! "I don't want to hear it Tolentino," William would respond to Chip's failed attempt at mockery. Chip also noticed William's mom and her uh interesting! costume, "Barf, is that your mom dressed up as-" "Sexy Brian Griffin?" the boy sighed, "Unfortunately, it is," he looked embarrassed. Logainne and Chip looked at each other and bursted out into laughter, making him less embarrassed and more annoyed at the two, "Are you two like, two peas in a pod?!? God! You two are so-" the three would then spot Marcy and Olive together.
Marcy showed that not only was she into edgy dark music, but she's also a film person, in her red dress, red veil, red sheer gloves, and her bangs were slicked, she was Lydia from Beetlejuice, the group loved it. "MARC, YOU LOOK GREAT!" Chip would complement, "Yeah Marc, you look so beautiful," Logainne blushed as red as the other girl's dress, my god she was beautiful. William did agree with the others that Marcy looked great, but Olive was the one who (as she usually did) took her breath away. She was dressed like a princess (well cause, she was one), she had a long lilac dress with pink and yellow accents on the dress, pink lace at the top and bottom of the dress, her sleeves were long and sheer, crown one of those cone crowns with a veil (hennin crown), her hair was curled and her makeup looked perfect even with her very shaky hands.
"OLI!!! YOU LOOK SO PERFECT!" Logainne screamed, hugging Olive tightly in one of her signature Logainne hugs where the other person is hugged so tightly that they almost are out of breath. "THANK YOU SO MUCH!" she screamed back very loudly, the two would let go of their embrace, "Leaf helped me a lot with it!" Chip would look shocked. "WOAH! He can sew? That's AWESOME!" he would get excited, gushing over his no homo bro causing Logainne to tease him.
While the rest of her friends were distracted by their conversations, Olive would run to William, holding onto the crown so it didn't fall off. She would wave at smile at him, William blushed, waving back at her, she noticed his costume and giggled. "Don't tell me your-" "The Bacteriophage? Yup, I am the virus that everyone else assumes is a bacteria," now it was Olive's time to listen to her best friend ramble about his interest in science, admiring him deeply. She loved how interesting his facts were, but that wasn't the only thing she loved about him, in fact, she had basically a whole list. She loved the way his eyes looked exclusively at her whenever he spotted her, there also was the way his hands were freezing cold whenever he would hold her fingers, don't even get her started on the soft tone he used around her whenever she was overwhelmed, the way he would protect her, OH GOD he was such a dreamy man, like her knight dressed up like a disease. While talking he snuck in a "You are absolutely perfect," quiet enough so that no one else heard them, the girl smiled, blushing dark red, "Thank you!".
Leaf, Marigold, and Ivy showed up last, the three were all forest animals. Leaf was a deer inspired by some Folklore he really loved, Marigold was a fox, and Ivy was a bunny. Leaf ran over to the other five whilst the two older girls walked behind him. He instantly hugged Chip and Logainne, once letting go, "THIS IS SO COOL!" Logainne screamed. But Chip was strangely silent. He was too busy admiring his friend who looked more than just cool, looking him up and down, and dreamingly sighed about his view. The deer ears, the makeup that looked so adorable on his face, and he had on an outfit that was very earthy and that he knew was completely sewn by the way taller boy. Chip absolutely loved the costume. The two hugged again, "You look wonderful bro," Chip whispered, patting his back. "OOOOOO!" Logainne complimented the older girls, everyone looked great tonight!
"Come here everyone!" Olive would softly ask the others; she handed a camera that Shana gave her to Logainne as the smaller girl is very good at taking photos. She would take two photos of the whole group (one normal and one so silly that you can't take them anywhere), she then handed Olive the camera back where she'd take photos of everyone separately and different other photos of the gang. Logainne took one final photo of William and Olive together, and afterwards the camera was put away because they were not allowed into the haunted house.
"Okay, hello welcome to Default Haunted House 10,000! Do you guys have a trusted adult with you?" the employee upfront who looked like he wanted to go to the grave asked them in the most unamused voice ever. The kids nodded and pointed at Ivy since she was 18. "Got it! Just know you guys will be entering in groups of four, so a large group doesn't crowd up the place," he then counted off the groups (Group 1 being Marigold, Leaf, Logainne, and Marcy, Meanwhile, Group 2 is Ivy, Olive, Chip, and William,). The two boys were annoyed that they had to be together in a group, but the employee wasn't paid enough to deal with them.
Group one would enter the house while Group 2 stayed in the waiting room, Ivy and Chip were playing Pokémon on Chip's Gameboy XP, meanwhile, William was reading some book whilst Olive looked through the photos on the camera, caressing his cheek as he laid his head on her lap. Chip saw this and fake barfed, he turned to Ivy, "Those two make me SICK," he would say to her.
Whilst inside the house, they were walking through the path until, *JUMPSCARE* "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" Logainne screamed, jumping on Marcy, latching onto her and Leaf. "I WON'T LIVE THROUGH HILARY CLITON'S RUN IN OFFICE!!!" (I'm sorry Logainne). There were several more jump scares, causing Logainne to be more stressed out and scared. "Where is Leaf?" Marigold sounded worried. Logainne was screaming so much that no one else noticed that Leaf had basically vanished. Once the other two girls notice Leaf going missing, they got worried two, great! Now, the three girls had to go all the way back, listening to the smaller girl screaming at all the jump scares that they passed before. "Ugh, are you serious??" Marigold noticed Leaf clinging onto the ankle of a random animatronic, his older sister had to pull him away.
Eventually, the four were FINALLY back to their original spot *BAM* Leaf started to carry Logainne as the two screamed. "TELL CHIP I LOVE HIM AND THAT I WANT TO BE HIS VERY SPECIAL FRIEND WHO IS A BOY!!!!" everyone paused, Marigold got all smug. "Oh? So, you're going to admit it?" she'd ask, Leaf just looked confused, "Huh? Admit what?".
After that, the four went down the slide, thus finishing their run of the house with a startled Logainne, a confused Leaf, an overly joyous Marcy, and a teasing Marigold. Now, it's group two time!
"Heh, don't be TOO scared PTA boy," William mocked, and as the SASSY boy he is, Chip rolled his eyes and retorted, "Well, don't cry to Olive if you get too scared LITTLE WILLY," he would laugh at his own sick burn. Olive would hold William's shoulder, "Barf, don't" she would say as to avoid the boy who REALLY wanted to fight back to start any problems with his enemy.
The group then walked in and as if on que, *JUMPSCARE* Chip and William immediately screamed, Chip then felt his pants get wet. "HA! PTA BOY PEED HIS PANTS- AHHHHHHH!" William started to bully the older boy, but then once again, a jump scare. He ran to Olive, squeezing her as tightly as Logainne would, she looked at him, "BARF, YOU'RE SQUEEZING ME!!" she yelled, he let go from her as quickly as possible, but she didn't want to completely leave him too scared, so she would hold her hand out so he could hold it. "OOOOOOO, BARFY IS SUCH A-" "SAYS THE ONE WHO PEED HIMSELF!!" they were fighting.
The four would continue until, *BAM* the room went completely pitch black, unprompted. Ivy was basically just going through the whole house, getting annoyed by the three kids she was forced to be with. The other three got scared, Chip peeing even more, Olive now being the one clinging onto Willliam, getting some kind of PTSD ridden scare, the boy was trying to soothe her. "We're sorry for the technical difficulties," a different employee said into the intercom.
After the lights went back on, the four had finished up the house. Ivy was basically unfazed, walking up to Marigold, "Do NOT pair me with those three again," Ivy quietly said to Marigold. Chip was trying not to start shaking and Olive is now the one clinging onto William, all three of them completely frazzled. Marcy motioned to Leaf to look at Chip, "And that is your crush?" she'd whisper to him, kind of mocking the boy. "I don't want to crush him," he said a little too loudly, everyone else just looked at him. "Leaf, do you have something to tell the class?" the boy shook his head at Marigold.
Finally, the eight were leaving the building. "So, Willy, you were such a scared little-" "You peed your pants," Chip's eyes widened, looking down at his pants, noticing what the boy was talking about, getting all embarrassed. "SHUT UP!".

My Unfortunate Erection (Peeing his pants version)
Chapter 3: The Ostrovsky and Friends Show!
Summary:
Olive comes up with the wonderful idea that her and her friends should host a radio show!
Chapter Text
November 1st, 2010.
After the crazy Halloween celebration, the gang decided to just have a relaxing afternoon, no crazy Webkinz club meetings or interacting with the bullies who basically vanished from thin air since the school dance, instead, they all just wanted some time to- "I should start a radio show!" DANG IT OLIVE!!! Today was supposed to be an uneventful day that was bland and boring, *SIGH FROM THE AUTHOR* anyways!
Olive always loved radio and the shows that would accompany the certain stations. Infact when she was little, her and her mom would listen to the radio together in a rare moment of peace in the normally angry household, once she had left, she would put on her favorite stations and listened as she would read or do whatever, leading her to cheer up more.
Somehow, she was able to convince her friends to come over. "Um, didn't we promise that we were not going to-" "SHUSH" Chip started to question the girl, getting annoyed before William would shush at him, leading to a mocking Chip. Olive would then walk up to her friend, placing her hands on his shoulders, they were now face to face (the others were probably grossed out tbh) "Barf, I've got this, okay?" he would gulp, nodding at her more hushed tone. She would then shush Chip before continuing to speak. "So, I've got the idea to start A RADIO SHOW!" She would get excited at her own idea, hopping a little, the other five just looked at each other like "How are we involved with this?" "And I want you guys to help out if that's okay with you guys," eventually, they would nod in agreement, some even looking kind of excited for the idea. "So, how would you like us to help because I'm VERY willing to help!" Logainne would ask with lots of enthusiasm. "I thought that it would be interesting if all of us have our own sections, so we can all have something to do and talk about!" She then continued over Logainne's question, "Also, can any of you guys edit videos by any chance?" William raised his hand instantly, "Oh, of course Willie boy suddenly knows how to edit-" "I KNOW WHAT I'M DOING!" Chip started to tease because this man is William's D1 hater, but William shut him down immediately. "AMAZING! You can help me once were done Barf!" she would exclaim excitedly, her and her friend, alone together, maybe they could kiss again.
"OOOO! I HAVE AN IDEA! What if I talked about ANIMAL care??" Leaf lit up, excited due to his passion of his animals, and newfound love of caring for animals thanks to Logainne + all the stray animals that come into his life. Olive pulled out a notebook so she could write down all the ideas her friends threw out at her. "Marcy! What would you like to do?" Olive went up to the girl who was listening to her music, once Marcy noticed her, she took out one of her headphones. "Can I talk about music-" "YES!!!" Marcy then put back in her headphone as Olive would light up and write down the music idea. "LEAF! We should do something together, like, POLITICS!" Logainne excitedly yelled, turning to Leaf for approval of her idea, so in turn, Leaf turned to Olive. "Can me and LoLo do a section together?" he'd ask, violently shaking Olive by the shoulders like she was holding the bread from a Victorian child. "Well first, I need to know what everyone is doing separately, but then you two can absolutely have a section together!" she would say. "I can rep my Yankees in my section, since the game against the Red Sox is coming soon," Chip would exclaim, "I bet you would be great for it!" she then wrote every idea she had down, except for one person.
"And finally, what would you like to do for your part?" Olive would ask William, he then grabbed her wrists gently (NAH no one's taking her away from you) "Can I PLEASE talk about sciences?" "Absolutely!" he then noticed where his hands were and let go so, she could write all the ideas down. So far, she had written down Chip for sports (specifically Yankees vs Red Sox), Politics with Logainne, Animal care with Leaf, Marcy discussing music related news, William discussing sciences, and Olive would interview the five throughout as well as doing the opening and ending of every show. "Do you guys have any other ideas for sections-" Logainne immediately lifted Leaf's hand, "ME AND LEAF WANT TO TALK ABOUT ENVIROMENTAL CONSERVATION!" she yelled out, patting Leaf's back so hard that he would fall face first on Olive's bed, Olive would then nod, writing down the idea, Chip then raised his hand. "Can we put the episode on YouTube?" "What?" Olive doesn't really use YouTube, and to add on, she doesn't really know how to use it.
"You DON'T KNOW YOUTUBE!?!?" he would ask, very shocked by the revelation. "What? no! I know what that is," she quietly defended herself. "Okay then, well if we put our show on YouTube, we can become famous like Smosh!!!!" he would suggest excitedly. Anthony and Ian were his idols, well, some of his idols. He found them extremely funny and creative; he really admired them like how he admired Babe Ruth. "Does PTA boy know what a "Radio show" is?" William would mockingly ask, Chip huffed. "Well, obviously I do, BARF, but, if we make this a video AND a radio show, WE CAN BECOME INTERNET FAMOUS!" Chip's voice got filled with optimism. "You know, that's an AWESOME IDEA!" she started to get excited (lots of excitement this day), not because she wanted to be internet famous, but because she wanted to spread the love of this show she's making out of the love of her friends and the passion she has.
"Okay! So, who wants to film?" Olive started to take lead, holding a film camera. "Marcy!" she would call out, "Hm?" "Can you please film-" she just nodded, taking the camera out of Olive's hands. Olive sat down on her bed, the other four would stand out of the way/behind the camera. "And go!" Marcy called out. "Is it on?" Olive mouthed, leaning closer to Marcy, the girl behind the camera nodded, and she would sit back down. "Hello listeners/viewers! I'm Olive Ostrovsky, and this, is the Ostrovsky and Friends show!!!!! A show where we talk about the topics we love, we hope you all enjoy listening/watching!" Marcy clicked off the camera. "So, how are we going to put this-" before Marcy finished her question, Olive would pull out a USB stick that she just, had for some reason. "On the radio?" Marcy continued, staring at the USB in the other girl's hand. "I'll put the files on this and then submit them to the website of the radio station!" Marcy still looked at her completely flabbergasted, "Okay then," was all she said.
Olive was now out at her front law, walking around with Chip who was throwing a baseball up and down. "So, I'm Chip Tolentino, and I want to talk about the upcoming game between the Red Sox and the Yankees because the Yankees are the BEST team, especially because Babe Ruth was once on the team," he would start. "What would you do if the Red Sox win at the upcoming game? You know Barf would have a LOT of bragging rights on you, don't you?" Olive would ask, Chip scoffed at the suggestion. "I just know they won't win, so Barfy wouldn't get to brag, TAKE THAT!" Chip would throw the baseball in his hand at a tree; the ball acted like a boomerang and hit Chip in the face, "OWWWWWWW" he screamed, Olive cut the camera to get first aid for him.
Leaf and Logainne sat in Olive's garden, near a decent size tree. "Go!" Olive called out for the two, Leaf actually took this as a sign to get up and leave, Logainne would grab him by the wrist, dragging him back to place, the two girls also explained to him what they meant by go. "Oh! Well, I'm Leaf Coneybear, and she's Logainne!" He would state, pointing at the shorter girl when he said her name. "And today we are talking about nature conservation," Logainne explained, turning to her co-host who was holding up a plastic water bottle, "Leaf, NO!" she would take the bottle and throw it in the trash, missing the trash can. The section went on for some more time, "If you cut down fossil fuels and start to preserve more through using reusable plastic for example, we can do whatever we can to not transmit CO2!" Leaf exclaimed, after that, he took out some duct tape, and he taped Logainne to the tree in the garden as she held up a sign which said what the two would in unison say, "SAVE OUR PLANET! DON'T CUT TREES FOR THE ANIMALS, NATURE, AND US!"
Now in Olive's basement, Marcy sat on the floor in her best Brendon Urie cosplay, she had their second album Pretty Odd in her hands. "I'm Marcy and this is the new Panic album, or well 'newer' album Pretty Odd, which I find pretty solid," she stated. Olive held the camera as William stood behind his friend, he would then ask Marcy to explain her opinion more. "Well, I'm glad you asked Will, I personally think this album is solid is because it's a different style from their original tone, which I find very punk rock," she would explain, staring straight at the camera. "Isn't Panic NOT a punk rock group?" Olive would ask, Marcy just stared at her, the girl behind the camera didn't say anything afterwards.
Marcy and William then switched spots. "Camera's on, correct?" he mouthed, the two girls nodded. "Okay, so this is-" "Introduce yourself!" Marcy would jokingly interject, "Cut the CAMERA!" William yelled back, equally jokingly. Okay, round two of filming this. "I'm William, and this is the Bacteriophage. This virus is mistaken to be a bacterium, however, it's actually-" as he spoke, Olive would just lovingly stare, and she guessed her staring was distracting her because Marcy had to take the camera from her hands to stop the recording from going over ten minutes long since all the other recordings were about two minutes each. "Thank you so much Marcy!" she would say in relief that she was there, she then turned back to her friend. "Can you please film the last section with me?" he instantly nodded. Marcy took this as her sign to go home, as the others all agreed (outside of the story I guess) that they would come back tomorrow to see the results.
Olive was back in her bedroom; William was behind the camera trying not to get as distracted as she did earlier. The two filmed a segment of Olive reading out some letter to her mom, one of the first when she left for India to be in fact, they debated keeping it in the episode since it was an emotional reminder to the girl that she was so hopefully naive when she was eleven. "Anyways, I hope you guys enjoyed the first of hopefully more episodes of the Ostrovsky and Friends show!" *CUT*.
The two teens then went to editing. "Do you have any way to import these videos to- not again," Olive once again pulled out another USB with all the recordings magically on them. "Wow, I'm not going to even question it anymore," he just took the stick and inserted the files into her computer. He then would open up the editing software he would normally use, and he started to show her some basic techniques for editing, that was until, he fell asleep on the chair in front of her desk. She would sneakily and quietly carry him to her bed, laying his head on her lap. "Guess someone got tired," she thought to herself, and as if the two were a couple, she would lean down to kiss his forehead, almost immediately waking him up (Guess he wasn't that tired). "You were asleep silly," she giggled, he was a bit startled.
Hours later, the two were finished, putting the finalized video in the blank USB Olive showed Marcy earlier. "Can I, stay over for a bit?" he would ask, "YES!- I mean, yeah sure you can," she tried to sound nonchalant, and failed miserably, leading the two to start dying of laughter which continued for a couple seconds until they found themselves in the same position they were in earlier, on the girl's bed, the boy's head on her chest as she played with his hair. "Remember when you kissed me, on the lips at the-" she nodded, she definitely remembered the moment of bliss that was her first kiss with the only boy she would ever want that with. "I know it sounds weird but I uh, I thought uh-" "Let me guess, you want more?" she knew, because she wanted more too. It was bright and flashing what they both wanted from last time. He would nod quickly, sitting up onto her lap, and as if on cue, their lips locked together like a magnet that refused to split, splitting away was basically a crime for the two punishable by DEATH. They were starved and deprived of this for what felt like years (Ignore how the last kiss was like, a month prior,) that was until. "OLIVIA!" Olive's dad. "I think you should leave," she would quietly tell her friend, opening her window so her dad wouldn't catch him. He didn't say a word the whole time.
November 2nd, 2010.
The gang met back up at Olive's house, dressed a little too fancily for watching a video, but also it was a PREMIRE, they had to take it seriously. They had popcorn, soda, and their other favorite snacks like beef sticks (blame Chip), gummy worms, and other candies.
Olive turned the video on, and they would watch. The kids loved it, laughing at many things such as Logainne being tied to the tree, or Marcy's death glare. After the video was done, they would shower their praises for the video, and everyone but Chip and William would leave. Chip showed Olive how to properly upload videos onto YouTube, and Olive would talk to Will a little once Chip had left. "I'm sorry about yesterday, my dad is-" "Ostrovsky, it's okay, I know your dad is awful, don't apologize for his actions, okay?" he would reply to her apology, today he actually had to leave for something, but before he could, she kissed him quickly on the lips in her room.
With the newfound knowledge from Mr. Charlito Tolentino, she would upload the video onto YouTube, and the audio file to the radio station website, waiting for anything to happen.
November 3rd, 2010.
On this Wednesday morning, Olive woke up to some emails. The first one being from the station.
"Hello there Olive, we love you and your friend's submission! We'll air your segment on our main station in between songs during the morning/ afternoon hours!" - Radio people.
She would go ecstatic! One of her many dreams had finally come true, and her friends were there to help her with it, no matter how corny that sounded, it was a pleasure. She would then check YouTube where a comment read, "This changed me forever,"

Chapter Text
November 7th, 2010.
Today was a big day for the gang since it is Marcy's birthday! More specifically, it was her Sweet Sixteen AKA one of the most important days in the teenage American girl life, mostly because Seong-nyeon-ui nal (Coming of age day in Korea,) won't be for another few years, and most people didn't even know what that even is.
After she woke up, she checked her Myspace to see her friends Happy Birthday messages, some people like Annie and Chip would post Happy Birthday posts dedicated to the girl. She also had gotten a message request from an unknown person who just messaged her
"Happy birthday Marcy, Loved you on the show <3"
"Who is this?" Marcy thought, then she remembered what Olive messaged her a couple days ago.
Flashback to November 4th, 2010.
"MARCY!!!"
"Yeah Oli???"
"The fans on our Radio Show love you :DDDD"
"There is this one guy specifically named Joel who said that you "changed his life" and he
also lives here in Putnam County!!!"
"Wait he does???"
"Apparently, he seems interested and wants to meet up with you!!"
"Well, I can see him soon I guess,"
Back to November 7th, 2010.
So today, Marcy decided to meet up with the Joel guy, the plan was that the two would meet up at the record store the two liked. She would put on a MCR shirt, a purple plaid skirt, ripped tights cut up to be socks, a leather jacket that Logainne bought her at the thrift store, lacing up the high shoe converse, brushing her hair, putting on the dark eye makeup, and finally she put on a few finishing touches before grabbing her bag and going out.
"MARCY! Where are you going?" Her mom would call to her in Korean. Marcy turned to her mom, "Ma, my friends and I are going to the record store if that's okay," her mom was hesitant at first since she wasn't told about this beforehand, "Okay fine, just be home soon, okay? That's when your party is," Marcy nodded, walking out the door.
While she was walking to the store, she felt a hand on hers. In her defense mode, she smacked the hand away "OW! What the heck!" the person said in a kind of ATTRACTIVE British accent that made Marcy blush. She turned to face the person, mouth agape, "I'm so sorry!" Marcy yelled, she covered her mouth, realizing how loud she was being, the person shook their head. "No, you're good, wait, aren't you that Marcy lass? The one on the YouTube show with those gorgeous eyes?" the mysterious man asked, God he was kind of a flirt. "Yeah, I am, and you must be-" "Joel," she knew it. "Yeah, that Olive Os-whatever girl told me about you,". Marcy took a good look at this Joel lad and wow they were a true stunner. All tall, dark style with the nicest red hair she's ever seen, pretty thin and British pale, oh he's dreamy.
"So, I heard that MCR is coming to Putnam County pretty soon, want some tickets-" "YES PLEASE! They are usually so much money, last time I checked they were $200!" she yelled again, her vocal control was just as bad as Olive's. He just handed her a ticket, placing it in her bag. The two continued their miny date. with them eventually exchanging phone numbers and parting away because it was PARTY TIME BABY!
Logainne had arrived first, gift in hand and some vegan Potatoe chips (Don't ask), she immediately placed the items on the table and hugged her friend so tightly Marcy was going to lose the ability to breathe. Once letting go, she just stared in awe at Marcy, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY! YOU LOOK ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!!!" She screamed excitedly, holding the other girl's hands, "Thank you so much, you look quite beautiful yourself," the two went to sit down somewhere.
Olive would then arrive (SECOND), she had candy and DVDs of movies that she knew Marcy liked, the two girls hugged as well. Once she placed her stuff on the table, she sat with the two other girls, bonding together. William followed suit, he brought the Goobers that Chip sold when his nickname PTA boy was born, he was sneezing aggressively due to the fact that Goobers WERE LITERALLY PEANUTS, yeah bro was petty. Also, I think it's an appropriate time to address how this party was a music-based party where all of the gang was dressed up as their favorite singers (Cyndi Lauper, Speak Now Taylor Swift, Frank Sinatra (Sheila almost made William dress up as Eminem, let that sink in,), and Marcy was in the girl's look from the "Helena" music video,) the boy waved at the two girls, Olive waved back, smiling at him. He stared at her very intensely, he thought she was absolutely gorgeous with her hair curled and purple dress, he started to blush. "OOOOOOOOOOO HETERO" Logainne started to tease the boy, "This MAN is being a lover b-" "SHHHHH!" William shushed the girl, he tried not being too argumentative on his friend's birthday, a day he knew she cared about a lot.
In Marcy's room, she stared at herself in the mirror as her mom stood behind her, helping her put on her black corseted dress with red ribbon as a belted part, she placed a crown with a black veil on her daughter's head, getting emotional seeing her daughter. "My beautiful Gramercy," she would say on the verge of tears, "Thank you Ma, thank you so much,".
Chip and Leaf were the last two to arrive, (Chilly Joe and Leafo star). They held hands as Chip knocked on the door. Marcy was with her mom, hugging her, so William just went and opened the door for the two boys. "Oh, it's peanut boy," Chip hissed (Nah bro went snake) at William, "Yup Tolentino, now go inside before I lock the door on you," the two entered, placing the items they brought onto the table and went with the other three. *KNOCK KNOCK* "Hm? Did Marcy invite another person?" Leaf asked confused, no one told anyone that there would be another guest at the party. William went back to the door, and it was Joel. "Joel???" Olive called out, puzzled by why the Brit was there, Joel pushed William out the way, running to Olive, "Where's Marcy?" he asked her, startling her as he was dressed in Frank's outfit from the "Helena" music video. The rest of the gang stared at each other with a look of absolute confusion, how THE FREAK did this man get here??? "MARCY!!!" the five of them yelled. "I'M COMING" She yelled back.
She ran back to the room the other five were in and gasped at the sight, "JOEL!?!?? What are you doing here-" "I heard it was your birthday," he said, running up away from Olive and to her, "How did you find out?" he pointed to Olive, she stared at her, "I'm sorry," she quietly said. "I got you these," he gave her red roses to match her dress, she gasped. "Thank you, for these,", she looked at the other five, confused on what she should do. She liked the guy, but this was a moment for her and her friends, not her and him, they already had their moment.
They would go over to the table so the birthday girl can open the gifts she got from new belts, a card with photos taken with Olive's camera, a new CD player, and her all-time favorite, Logainne made her a bunch of bracelets of her favorite bands, she thanked the other five for the effort and thought they put into the gifts, until Joel opened his mouth, clearing his throat, "Well, I have this for you," he handed her more tickets for upcoming concerts, "This is, AWESOME! THANK YOU!!" she was excited over the tickets, hugging him, but then, he lifted her chin up and kissed her.
She didn't know how to feel about this, it was her first kiss, and she liked Joel, but all of this felt so fast. He JUST MET HER TODAY. So, as she went along with the kiss, Logainne got upset and went to the bathroom to cry. She was absolutely in love with Marcy. She loved her more laid-back attitude, how she helped her calm down when she was going too hard on her overachieving, her singing voice that sounded so perfect, her awesome fashion sense, her taste in music, the way she was on her side, EVERYTHING! And now, this random dude was taking her away from her. Olive noticed the small girl running out, so she got up and tapped Marcy's shoulder. "What?" She would split from Joel, lightly pushing him away, which angered him. "It's about Logainne, go check on her, we'll deal with him," she told Marcy.
Marcy ran to the bathroom, Olive and the three boys pushed Joel out of the house, locking the door on him, so nothing more can happen. He started to aggressively knock on the door, "IF YOU DON'T LET ME BACK IN," the four didn't respond to this.
"Schwartzy? I'm sorry about the kiss," she told her friend who was sitting on the bathroom floor, crying. She sat next to her. "Who was that?" Logainne asked, looking at the floor, "Joel, he's this guy that Olive told me about, he seems like a good guy but," Logainne grabbed Marcy's hand, "Marc, he broke into your house, invited himself to a party, and kissed you in front of everyone, I don't think he is that good of a guy as he seems," Marcy started to look defensive, "Lolo, you BARELY KNOW HIM, he seems good enough-" "Marc, YOU barely know him," it was silence for the two, Logainne just hugged Marcy, "I'm sorry," was all Marcy could say.
The party would resume as normal as possible, but no matter what, Marcy's mind lingered back onto Joel and what he did. Games that were supposed to be fun because she watched Chip and William fight over nothing, or Olive and Leaf laughing at their crush's immaturity, or Logainne and Chip yelling out Glee songs at the top of their lungs during Karaoke, or her friends jokingly singing the Happy Birthday song at her as they ate her favorite kind of cake, Chocolate Funfetti shaped like a skull, she couldn't find much enjoyment. Due to the overwhelming feelings consuming her whole, she cracked, she started to run to the bathroom to cry because even if she allowed herself to cry, she hated her friends seeing her in this emotional of a state.
The other five would notice this, "MARCY! WHAT'S WRONG?" Chip called out, he kept calling but, nothing. Eventually they found her in the cabinet of the bathroom, "MARCY! What's wrong," Chip would ask, holding her shoulder, surprisingly being more comforting than he usually was. "Joel," was all she could say. "Was it about what he did earlier?" William asked, lending her a hand so if she wanted to, she could get out of the cabinet she hid in. "Oli, you told me he was in the comments, right?" Olive nodded, "He also messaged me, and told me about the show, and how he went to our school, and how he had been in love with you since he transferred over from his London boarding school," Marcy looked shocked at Olive's shaky words, "I don't know how else to put it but, he wanted you to be his girlfriend," she would add on. "Wait, seriously?" she nodded. Marcy didn't have any words; she couldn't process any of this. Leaf and Logainne would then go to hug her, "Marcy, I'm extremely sorry, I should've told you about the crush I didn't-" "I need to talk to him," she pulled out her phone and dialed his number.
"Joel this is-" "IF YOU'RE ONE OF MARCY'S {Redacted} FRIENDS, I HOPE YOU NEVER SPEAK TO ME AGAIN BECAUSE SHE IS MINE," he screamed and cursed for a bit until, "No Joel, it's Marcy" he hung up. "I'm sorry Marcy," Olive kept repeating. "You know what?" Marcy stood up, Leaf and Logainne finally let go of the embrace. "If he is going to act like a big baby and not communicate with me, I won't talk back," the others were relieved by Marcy's comment, she wasn't trying to fix him or whatever and instead, Marcy stood on business, even if she's not all business.
Eventually, the gang left Marcy's house. They had planned out a sleepover the upcoming Friday due to her party kind of being ruined, which she looked forward to. Marcy started to pray to her Billie Joe figurine with a rosary that Joel wouldn't start anything bad again. Hoping she wouldn't actually fall in love with someone like him.

Chapter 5: Sleepover of Tortuous Dares
Summary:
At the friend sleepover, a game of eight player Mario Party leads to the wildest game of Truth and dare!
Chapter Text
November 12th, 2010.
Due to the infamous Joel Torren ruining Marcy's party, Marcy's friends planned out a sleepover for the entire weekend! But before this fun three days, Marcy laid on her bed, hearing her phone ring, it was Joel.
"Hey, Marcy! Are you free this weekend?" he asked her, she sighed, "No Joel, I'm not in fact," she hung up the phone. He had apologized to her a few days ago, so she gave him a second chance, but also warned him that he needs to slow down, and if he does anything to her friends, he will pay. She would hear a knock on the door, so she would go get it, and it was Logainne.
Things had still been a bit tense between the two due to the whole kiss, but she had told the smaller girl that she warned him about moving too fast or messing with any of her friends, so she felt better about the whole situation. The two hugged for a while, they took a while to let go, but once they did, Marcy led her to a guest room since her mom did NOT allow her to have sleepovers in her own bedroom for some reason. "Are you okay Marc?" Logainne asked. Logainne had been asking Marcy if she was okay basically every other day now after what happened, she was thankful to have a friend like her, but she was okay. "I'm okay yes Lolo, also can I say, I love Oli, but she can be too gullible, which again, I hate saying it but, it's true," Marcy was correct to some degree. Olive was a sweet girl with good intentions, she doesn't always realize other people's motives very well, both girls have known that. "Yeah, well I'm glad he hasn't done anything worst!" "That's true," *KNOCK KNOCK*.
Marcy went back to the door, and speak of the devil, Olive was there. Afterwards the boys would show up and everyone was back in that guest room (everyone had brought the snacks and movies from the sleepover, some games were also brought,).
Now, Marcy was setting up her GameCube so the gang can play eight player Mario Party 7. Why was that? Why would the six of them play an eight-player game? Well, "Since there is six of us, do you guys-" "LETS PLAY EIGHT PLAYER MODE!" of course it was Chip's idea. "But there's six of us-" "You know that you can have one person play in two groups?" Chip suggested a probably very convoluted idea, "You know you could just have a team of computers, right Chip?" Marcy said, her cousins have forced her to play this game way too many times, so she knew this fact like it was the back of her hand. Chip didn't make a comment, so after FINALLY selecting the mode, Chip gave Marcy a request. "Gramercy, you can pick who WE all work with, since it was your birthday last week,". "Hmm," Marcy was thinking for a bit, she didn't know if she wanted to start some fighting or if she wanted to play it safe. "Do you want me to pick?" It was like Chip wanted to pick the group himself. She just eye rolled, "Fine, you can pick this one but," She went closer to him, voice a whisper, "Put those two together," Marcy gestured at Olive and William, "Barfy go with Olive," of course Charlito wanted those two "best friends" to work together. "I thought you wanted Marcy to pick," William sneered at Chip, "Well-" "If PTA boy can pick, you're working with Leaf," "LETS GO BRO!" Chip threw himself at Leaf, hugging him. "Ugh, since you guys are so predictable, come here Schwartzy," Marcy went to sit with Logainne. Since Chip was enlightened about the CPUs being able to play in this mode, he just set one team of computers. So, here's the teams.
Team ChipLeaf: Mario (Chip) + Yoshi (Leaf)
Team Willive: Waluigi (William) + Toadette (Olive)
Team Marinne: Boo (Marcy) + Daisy (Logainne)
Team CPU: Luigi + Toad
The game went on for twenty rounds, and in terms of the game, a lot happened. Chip was the definition of a toxic try hard, taking every opportunity to take from everyone else, dueling every chance he got especially if he could fight against Marcy or William, taking every chance he could to do the most, and boast about it afterwards. On the opposite side of the spectrum, Leaf was really not good at the game, like at all. He was basically handing first place to everyone but him and Chip, and this spawned a joke William made where he said Leaf was actively trying to lose. Speaking of Barf boy, he was very strategic, honestly, like Chip, he took this game way too seriously, but he still was smart with the moves he took. Olive was average, like she wasn't horribly awful, but she wasn't like Chip or William; except for the minigames. God knows what reason she excelled basically all of them. We already know Marcy is a pro (Fall break special), but Logainne was the resident try hard of team three. Her moves were, ambitious to say the least (They rarely ever worked).
The ceremony finally came, and Team Marinne were already in the lead by a long margin, the other two groups had to pray that they even get close to what they got. The first bonus is the "Eventful bonus," "THATS US THATS US!" Chip chanted loudly, and low and behold, it was team ChipLeaf, "LETS GO!!!" He yelled hugging his friend, making him blush. Then it was "Minigame star" which obviously went to Team Willive, Olive clapped for herself, a lot of hugging today because she would hug William. The final award didn't matter because it was team CPU that won that one, but the moment of truth came.
After a long sense of silence, the winner revealed to be TEAM THREE!!!! Marcy and Logainne high fived then came the results.
First: Team Marinne: 7 stars, 500 coins
Second/Third: Team ChipLeaf/Team Willive: 4 stars, 0 coins
Who cares about the CPUS
"WHAT???" Chip screamed, William followed suit, "A TIE!?!?" he would cover Olive's ears as he yelled so she wouldn't get overwhelmed. "Welp, I guess that means we do, a tie breaker," Leaf said, Logainne and Marcy started to look at each other deviously. "Leaf is correct! It's TRUTH AND DARE TIME!" Logainne exclaimed excitedly, the two girls went to the front of the room. "So, how this works is me and Logainne will give you guys Truths or Dares, the only rules is if you get truth BE HONEST and if you get dare DO YOUR DARE" the other four gulped, getting a little nervous about what the girls would make them do. "To start, CHIP, Truth or dare?" Marcy would ask, Chip scoffed, "Dare," he said cockly, "I dare you to race one of those two," she dared, Chip got even more cocky. "OH, that is an easy choice because BARF BOY WE ARE RACING!" William got nervous, he had the worst asthma and oh god he doesn't want most of his friends to make fun of his lack of athleticism (Even if most of them wouldn't).
The two boys along with Marcy were outside, Marcy blew into a whistle she had, and the two boys ran from the wall to where they started, and to the surprise of no one Chip won, leading Team ChipLeaf to have one point.
Once inside, it was Logainne's turn to give a truth or dare, "Hmm, William, truth or dare," he got a huff from his inhaler before he spoke, "Truth," "Is it true that you've kissed Olive? If not, KISS HER!" Logainne looked all smug as she spoke. The two instantly went red in the face from the nervous blush, "Uh, I uhhhh-" "NO WE HAVEN'T" William tried to lie for the two, but then, he realized the grave mistake he made by saying they haven't, the two just stared at each other, "Chip, you better close your eyes, or else," he threatened, "Oh, I'm SO scared," he still covered his eyes. The two stared at each other for a while. Olive just sighed, grabbing his face, cupping his cheeks, and kissing his lips. Third time they've done this, but first time in front of all their friends. The way he almost immediately kissed her back, it made the others think that they've done this more than once (As I mentioned, they have three times). Olive then opened her eyes and checked to see if the others were focusing on them, at first, they were, but then they weren't, so Olive continued, getting more passionate with it, he did the same thing, after a while, the two pulled away.
"DANG! I didn't ask you two to do all that, but I figured you two would," the two got extremely embarrassed over Logainne's comment. "Leaf, truth or dare," she asked Leaf, "Uhhh, dare," "I dare you to slap anyone in the room," "I can't do that! You guys are my," "I.DARE.YOU.TO.DO.IT!" he then turned to Chip, "I'm sorry bro," he would lightly slap his bro's face, "YEOUCH!" Chip jokingly screamed, the two boys laughing together. Chip and Leaf were in the lead from two points, meanwhile William and Olive had one point. "Do you have any ideas?" Logainne asked Marcy quietly, she nodded, "Oli! Truth or dare?" "Hmmmm, truth," Marcy and Logainne looked a little devious, "If it wasn't for Willie, would you be dating anyone-" "No!" she covered her mouth, realizing what she had just admitted to. "Did you just?" William asked her in that FREAKING SOFT VOICE HE SPOKE IN AROUND HER, JESUS CHIRST HE WASN'T SLICK. "So, Chip, Truth or dare," Logainne announced, giggling at her friend's confession. "Dare," he started to get a tiny bit nervous, "You and a competitor of your choice will eat dog food out of the DOG BOWL!" Marcy took out the bowls of food, placing one of them in front of him. "I'm NOT doing this," he yelled, "Do. It. or We'll force the four of you to do something more embarrassing," Marcy would threaten, "OH? And what is that?" Marcy pointed to a closet, "Seven minutes of heaven," Oh No, the other four got nervous, very nervous. "I swear PTA boy," "You know what, let's do it, come with me Leaf," Yeah, this freak chose to go into the closet. "Does he not know how this game work?" Marcy asked Logainne, she just shrugged, "Probably not,".
The two boys were standing in the closet awkwardly. "UH, you uh, really wanted to do this," Leaf said, trying to make the environment less heavy. "Yeah, I did, I wanted to take up the challenge of the more 'embarrassing' challenge," Chip stated, trying to be more confident. "How is this the more, OH" Leaf questioned, then realizing exactly why. "Well, uh do you want to kiss-" "PLEASE," Chip was on his knees begging to be kissed, which is exactly what Leaf did. Leaf tried to pick up Chip, and once the shorter guy was back on his feet, they kissed. Leaf's leg made its way around Chip's torso like a koala. This lasted the whole time.
It was now the other two's time to go in. The two had stayed apart from each other the whole time, SIKE! They were lying on the closet floor cuddling. Olive had fell asleep on her friend's chest as he ran his fingers through her hair, moving his hand to her chin, lifting her head slightly to face him. "Is it okay if I, kiss you?" she nodded immediately, he took this as his chance to kiss her lips gently, his gateway to heaven. For a moment, the two forgot that they were doing this as a tie breaker as they continued to slowly kiss each other.
The other four kids had moved on from the tie breaker, well, except for one. "How long are they going to take in there?" Chip was asking Logainne, she hadn't realize that the two were in that closet for at least 10 minutes (Which if you couldn't tell, is not seven minutes), "So, does that mean," Logainne sighed annoyed, "Yeah yeah, you and Leaf won the tie breaker," Chip lit up like a Christmas tree, "YOU HEAR THAT BRO? WE WON!" Chip would scream at Leaf, celebrating the win. "I'll go get the other two,".
Logainne is always at the crime scene because she once again is walking in on her two friends. She quietly opened the closet, and yup, they were still kissing, completely unaware of the girl in front of them until *CLICK* the camera flashed as Logainne took a picture of the two, "DELETE THAT NOW"

Chapter 6: Chip and William try and get along challenge (level IMPOSSIBLE)
Summary:
After an incident with their teacher, Chip and William get a detention where they are locked away in the same room.
Chapter Text
November 15th, 2010.
It's no secret that Chip and William do not get along, in fact, it's so obvious that Mr. Ethan Black had to make sure the two kids sat as far away from each other as possible.
During class that Monday morning as Chip forced himself to talk to his fellow baseball jocks who he really didn't care about (Especially since he really wasn't any of their friends), he noticed the other boy writing something which he could only assume one thing, "Heh, lover boy," he scoffed to himself, rolling his eyes. Everyone already knew that William's little (massive) crush was EXTREMELY OBVIOUS (Should I explain it to you guys? I honestly don't think so, that's how obvious it was), he was absolutely folded over her, enamored, in awe, and he borderline worshiped her like she was some second coming of Venus or whatever Greek mythology Leaf told him about. He was sick and tired of this boy's pining, how he always defended his feelings with "I don't want to ruin our friendship," even though he knew that the way those two were kissing in that closet for what felt like 20 MINUTES was extremely fishy.
Mr. Black had to answer a phone call and during that time, Chip got up to make it look like he was getting a tissue, but what he really wanted was to see what Barf Bag Boy was writing and yup, it was EXACTLY what he thought it was.
Olive,
Years ago, you told me your name turns into I love,
And I thought about it since.
I thought about what a beautiful name you have,
And what perfect alliteration your name has,
How symbolic it was,
"Nothing too out of the ordinary," Chip thought to himself, thinking he had been snooping a little too long. "Mind your business Tolentino," William said annoyed at the other boy, giving him a nasty glare. "Geez, calm down Barf Bag, I was just seeing what you were doing-" "It's none of your concern Chippy Boy," William flipped his paper over, standing up from his seat, "Wow, someone's getting heated over a glance, I just wanted to know what you were-" "MIND YOUR BUSINESS-" "CHIP! WILLIAM! SIT DOWN!" Mr. Black would yell at the two boys; Chip quickly ran back to his seat.
Gross Barf Bag ಠ_ಠp
Chip wrote down on a separate piece of paper, throwing it to William, "Chip! No throwing notes in class," Mr. Black groaned, getting annoyed by the two boys.
Shut up -_-
William wrote in response, throwing the paper back to Chip however the paper hit their teacher in the eyeball, leaving a paper cut, this was his last straw. "CHIP! WILLIAM! GO TO THE OFFICE! And take this with you," he threw the wadded paper ball back to the boys. The two just got up and went.
"UGH, this SUCKS!" Chip screamed, annoyed by the fate of the two boys. "Well, if it wasn't for YOUR snooping, we wouldn't be in this situation," William argued back, the two boys had gotten detention after school every day this week due to injuring their teacher's eye. Once in the room, the boys sat down at desks as far away from each other as possible, but weirdly, there was no teacher in the room with them. "What even is the point of this? I have baseball camp!" Chip groaned, hands in his face, he hated this inconvenience. "Is that just some excuse so that you can complain like Logainne, God you two are so similar," William eye rolled, he knew this was a lie, baseball season doesn't start practice until spring, it's November. "NO! It's not some excuse for me to complain," Chip lied through his teeth, "Nonsense! You're the worst liar I've ever seen," Chip got offended by this comment, going straight to where his frenemy was. "Says you," "What do you mean by that?" Chip then put on his god-awful William impression to mock him, "OH! Me and Olive are just friends even though we spent half a sleep over making out-" "WE WERE NOT CREEP-" "LIAR! EXPLAIN THIS!" he would then pull out the photo Logainne took of the two's twenty minutes of heaven, the other boy's eyes went wide, "You SCUM, DELETE THAT NOW OR I WILL-" "And in this room we have," Logainne entered the exact classroom the two boys were in, the other three as her film crew. She turned to face the two boys who were about to fight. She instantly turned away from the two, the four ran out of that room as quickly as they could. "How did those two, never mind," she muttered under her breath. The boys four friends all left the room they were in.
"What was that about?" Chip shrugged, "What do you think Ostrovsky thought of-" "DO YOU NOT SHUT UP ABOUT HER? JESUS YOU'RE ANNOYING!!!" Chip screamed, he had officially snapped, this boy he was forced to be trapped in a room with for the rest of the week was killing him with his "Will they won't they" nonsense with his crush of almost a decade. "Didn't we already have this conversation-" "I DON'T CARE IF WE ALREADY HAD THIS CONVERSATION," Chip was turning into a certified crash out, while he did stop screaming, he was still mad. "Barfy, every other word out of your mouth is about Olive, it's like she is all you think about, it is always, "Oh how's Olive," or "I hope she saw me," or more accurately, "OH MY GOD SHE IS THE REINCARNATE OF JESUS FREAKING CHRIST and I AM SICK Of HEARING YOUR AGITATING VOICE, and trust me, EVERYONE ELSE IS SICK OF IT TOO," silence, William was absolutely gob smacked by the boy's words, eyes wide. "Well, you're just mad that you are in the same position with Leaf and you just want an excuse to-" Chip ran out of the room, William chased after him.
"Why are you running away from the truth?" he'd ask, "WHY ARE YOU?" Chip got more and more angry. Eventually, the other four kids found them again. "You should just confess to your boyfriend instead of kissing and saying, "NO HOMO" afterwards, trust me its-" "YOU BOYS GET BACK HERE!" the teacher that took his whole life to actually do his job dragged them back to the room. "You boys will stay here for the rest of the night, we have informed your parents, and you shall not leave this room until 8 am tomorrow morning," the teacher instructed.
The two boys just sat at random desks, staring at the ticking clock until it inevitably reached eight am, however, it was only four pm. William was doing homework while Chip started throwing a baseball at the wall like it was a tennis ball being bounced, the boys refusing to talk to each other since it's basically like talking to a wall. They both collectively sighed, "You know, you were kind of right, we both, are more similar than I thought," William mumbled out, Chip noticed a Ramen bowl, placing it in the microwave that was in the classroom for some reason, he needed food like a starving orphan. "I hate how you're right," Chip would also mumble.
The food was finally heated up, he'd get two bowls for the two because even if he didn't like Will, he still didn't want him to starve. "I just, I don't know what to do, I use to ponder how a loser like me could be loved by the soulmate of my life, but now that she probably likes me two, I don't know how to go about it without-" "Ruining your guy's friendship?" the boy next to Chip nodded. "Same with me and Leaf, he's so wonderful but, he's also my bro, I don't want to lose my bro you know?" they were slurping up ramen as they spoke. "I can't believe we are actually getting along, it's DISGUSTING," for the first time ever, the two boys laughed like pals together, "Exactly, EW," Chip also said, no matter how much the two boys fight, they can confirm that they are different sides of the same coin.

Chapter 7: Future Freshmen Tour
Summary:
The gang needs to make a video for the upcoming freshmen class of 2015 however, two of their friends are missing, I wonder why.
Chapter Text
Also, November 15th, 2010.
"Alright kids, so tomorrow night is future freshmen night, where we welcome Class of 2015! And in honor of that, I have a task for you six," Rona and the six teens were in her office, sitting at her desk while the other kids sat in front of her. She then got up, pulling out a whiteboard with ideas for a video. "So, your guy's task is to film a video tour of our school's campus, do I have any volunteers to-" Logainne immediately raised her hand, "Let me finish the question first eager one, who wants to be the one at the front, actually doing the tour," Logainne eagerly raised her hand back up. "Well, it appears that Logainne will do it," Leaf and Marcy agreed to handle the microphones, Olive agreed with the camera, William would edit, and Chip would also help along with Logainne in front of the camera.
After school, four of the kids would meet up together at the school's entrance, ready to start filming until. "Where's Chip? He's supposed to be next to me at the moment," Logainne asked, sounding kind of annoyed, "Olive, do you know where William is?" Olive shook her head no, the other girl groaned, "He was supposed to also help us, UGH these men," she was going to go on another political rant until, "We don't need them let's just get started," Marcy said, looking at her Nokia phone, the other three had no idea what she was doing since Leaf took a light glance at the phone and she immediately turned her whole body away from him. "Are you guys ready?" Marcy would ask, the other three nodded, "Alright, 3, 2, 1 START!" Olive turned on her camera. Logainne took a bit to check if it's on (Hell nah, she is millennial pausing), "Welcome to PUTNAM COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL future class of 2015, come see our school," Logainne then walked into the school, the other three following her.
She went through every building, showing off the classrooms for academics as well as electives, that was until they got to classroom 709 where fighting was faintly heard, "You SCUM! DELETE THAT NOW!" there was definitely more, but the four didn't hear them well enough. "And in this room, we have-" Logainne opened the door, turning to see Chip and William who were about to fist fight each other, the girl turned her head to look at the two, immediately turning back to the camera, running out of the building, the other three followed her, cutting the camera's off.
"What was that?" Leaf asked, tilting his head in confusion, "Leaf, Olive, I hate to inform you guys, but you guys are in love, with BAD BOYS!!" Logainne would place a hand on both of her much taller friend's shoulders, informing them this information like she was a doctor diagnosing them with cancer, the other two looked at each other mortified, then back at the girl in front of them. "But Lolo, I LOVE HIM!!!" Leaf dramatically called out, running back to the room to free his Charlito, but no matter how he rattled the door handle, it wouldn't open. "Don't worry Charlito muffin, I'll bail you out," he ran a hand across the door, running back to his friends.
"Leaf, that was the corniest thing you've ever done," Marcy said plainly, playfully mocking his friend. The three girls laughed a bit, "The most what?" he questioned, "Well, we got to get this video done, so let's go back to-" and as if on cue, "Why are you running away from the truth?" "WHY ARE YOU???" the two boys that were in that classroom just ran out, being in the area their friends were at. The other four pretended to eat air popcorn, watching the boys fight, mostly so they weren't involved. "You should just confess to your boyfriend instead of kissing and saying "NO HOMO" afterwards, trust me-" "WILLIAM! CHARLITO! GET BACK HERE!!!" the four quickly ran away, watching from a bush as the two boys were being dragged away by their ears. After the two boys were gone, the other four got out of the bush. "As I was saying, LETS GO BACK TO FILMING!".
November 18th, 2010.
It was 9 am and the four kids were presenting the video they worked on, the other two boys in the wings to support their friends in the "Get Along" shirt that they were forced to wear.
Once the other four went to meet with the two boys, they had a lot of questions. "So, what happen? We know you two were in detention," Logainne would ask (But did she really? Well, she learnt that fact so...) "I uh, would rather not say," Chip said, spotting Mr. Black with an eyepatch now on his eye, staring back at the boy with Mitch's arm around his shoulder (gay), Chip turned away scared. "Let's just say, SOMEONE can't aim," Chip put emphasis to mock William, making him embarrassed. "Well hey, at least it was just one day, right? Right?" the boys nervously laughed at Logainne's attempt at relief. "Don't tell me its-" YUP! The two were experiencing this for the rest of the week, how great!

Chapter 8: The Art Exhibit Part 1
Summary:
The PCHS representees of the art exhibit are announced, but little do they know about a secret plan by the one who shouldn't be named
Chapter Text
November 22nd, 2010.
It was English class, and Olive was scribbling out some writings into a notebook she carried around with her. Eventually, the bell rang, and the kids all sat down in their seats. "Okay class, I have an important announcement so, *SHUSH*" Mr. Top (Who surprisingly hasn't quit) instructed his class, shutting them down. "So, as you guys probably forgotten, the annual art exhibit is coming up in two weeks, and today, we got the list of students who will be representing our school," Mr. Top had a paper in his hands; he started to read the names.
After a couple names he finally got to the writers/short story creations, and Olive adjusted her focus, smile starting to form on her face. "For the short story competition, we are going to have Olive Ostrovsky," "YES!" even her mind was getting excited. One of her main lifelong passions was finally paying off, she was going to be recognized for her creations, and maybe if her parents knew about this, they'd be proud of her.
At lunch time, she ran to the table so she could tell her friends the exciting news "GUYS! MY WRITING IS GOING TO BE IN THE EXHIBT!" she yelled out excitedly, Leaf would then hop up being equally as excited. "YOU ARE? MY CROQUET WILL BE THERE TWO!" the two were extremely happy, hopping up and down screaming, the rest of the gang went to them. "Congratulations you two!" Chip said, smiling as he hugged Leaf especially tight. "THOSE ARE MY BEST FRIENDS RIGHT THERE!" Logainne was as loud as the other two, hugging them in her tight Logainne hugs (how did Leaf not die no one will ever know). Once the girl let the two get breath, William automatically hugged Olive not extremely tight like the other two, but my god the tension was there as he patted her back and whispered in her ear on how he was so proud of her (Can they QUIT STALING AND JUST GET TOGETHER). Chip, Logainne, and Leaf all just looked at each other then they would look at the two others who were still hugging. "Oh, and you two are "Just friends"-" William sighed at Chip's comment, "We've already been over this Chippy boy, BACK OFF!" Chip just backed off (Coward LOL). Marcy was strangely quiet today, while the other five were celebrating their friend's success, she was just staring at her Nokia phone. "Well, what are you guys even going to do at the event?" Chip asked, eating the dumpling his mom packed him. "Well, firstly, you guys will look through halls and halls of art, then all the kids will perform on this really big stage that is so cool and bright, it'll be awesome," Leaf explained excitedly, grabbing Chip's hand, the boy's staring into each other's eyes. "Yeah! It does sound awesome," he exclaimed, blushing at the green eyes that stared into his. "It will be! I have tickets for you guys!" Olive budded into the boy's moment, passing tickets out to the other four. "Also, Barf?" she sat right in front of her friend; he just looked at her. "Hm?" he questioned. "Can you please come backstage with me?" his face flushed, what was she wanting to do? Make out again? "Is that even allowed?" he asked stuttering a bit as he asked, she nodded. "Yup! Just as long as you leave before the other performers are supposed to go backstage!" Now that he thought about it more, it might be his chance, maybe, just maybe, this "will they won't they" dynamic can finally be put to rest, the stars will finally align, and they can finally be together. "OOOOO, and what will Willie boy be doing while he is-" "Just, stop," William shot down Chip's teasing because bro he is a MENANCE today.
After school, Olive and Leaf were at the school's stage for a rehearsal, the first of few. The big performers went first (Dance, orchestra, ETC), and then it came to the writers. Olive was going second (yes, this is a reference), going to the center of the stage and she started to read out her poem on her seasonal depression that has impacted her whole life, but it especially got worst when her mom left. She felt like a broken record, but it's hard not to be one when she thinks over on everything she's been through, how her dad hurts her. "God she was an emotional wreck," she thought as the tears trinkled down. The director loved the poem she wrote but told her she needed to have more confidence in herself as she read out.
Once the practice ended, Olive started to walk home. She wore her favorite pink coat, the coat was so soft, and she would always play with the sleeves, but then *BAM* it started to rain. "Dang it!" she muttered, she didn't have an umbrella. She continued to walk getting more and more soaked until, "HI OLIVE!" Leaf had gotten next to her, holding his umbrella so she wouldn't get even more wet than she already was. "Hi Leaf! What were you doing? You didn't go on stage-" "Well, my art teacher wanted confirmation on what I should do, anyways, how did it go? Your rehearsal I mean," "It went great! I just need some more confidence, but she absolutely loved my work!" Olive started to beam, the way taller boy next to her also smiled. "THATS WONDERFUL! I bet it'll go amazing! Do you think it will?" he asked as the two still walked, "Yes I do!" she hopped with joy in a puddle, accidently soaking the two more, laughter and more hopping in the water ensued.
Eventually, the both of them parted as Olive had finally reached her house. In her room, she opened her laptop up, checking her My Space, and what she saw was mind boggling.
Marcy's page status: "He's a dreamy man"
November 2010: "I MISS YOU.MP4"
"Is this what I think it is," Olive thought to herself. Is Marcy in love? If so, with who? And I swear if it's Joel, FIND OUT TWO WEEKS FROM NOW!

Chapter 9: The Art Exhibit Part 2
Summary:
The day of the exhibit. Thats it!
Chapter Text
December 3rd, 2010.
Today was the long-awaited art exhibit for the Putnam County district. Olive and Leaf had arrived at the venue early, the nearby college. Leaf was dressed in full cat attire, with the clip-on ears and clip on tail keychain that was on his pants, but the suit itself had a cat design all over it. Olive on the other hand wore this shiny light pink dress with the pearl necklace she took from her mom's jewelry box as her reminder of her during these big events, she had attempted to curl her hair (keyword ATTEMPTED, let's just say, the burns were all over her hands,) and put it up with a flower hair tie holding it up in a half up half down. The two were just outside the building, Leaf turned to his friend, "Are you ready?" she nodded, "I am ready,".
The clock had hit 5:30 pm. The other kids from the multiple schools started arriving. Chip, William, and Logainne walked through each section, looking at all of the work that their peers had created, eventually though, the three found Leaf's work. "This IS SO COOL!" Chip would yell excitedly, caressing the croqueted jelly fish which he probably wasn't allowed to touch, but that didn't stop him and Logainne from having a combined ten braincells since she was petting the cat next to it. "I know right! I've seen him make a long scarf in only ONE class period! He's incredible!" Logainne was gushing over her friend's talent. Chip dreamingly stared at his creation in his hand, "Oh, I love him so much," he covered his mouth, but it was too late, Logainne and William were ready to act shock. "He admitted it!" William whispered really loudly to Logainne, the two teens bounced up and down. "ASK HIM OUT! ASK HIM OUT! ASK HIM-" "Calm down guys! I'll do it, uhh, someday," Chip sputtered out, blushing even darker.
William checked his watch, it was already 6:15, that meant that it's almost time to meet up with his dream girl backstage like he had gotten a VIP pack for his favorite singer. Oh god the feeling of excitement and nervousness ran all over his body. He had something to give her to celebrate her achievement more, which he hoped she liked (but knowing him, she was going to love practically any nice thing he did, she always did,). "You ready to meet your new girlfriend Willy boy-" "My best friend Logainne, and I think I am," surprisingly the three who were most prone to petty childish arguments actually had a moment of getting along, it felt nice for the three to just put their differences aside for once. Now it was just Chip and Logainne, "Do you know where Marcy is? She hasn't really responded to any of my calls," Chip would ask, Logainne just shrugged, "She said last minute she couldn't make it because she was sick," Logainne would explain. "That sucks! I hope she is okay soon," the two had stopped talking and were now moving on to a different section of the exhibit.
After some breaths since he actually RAN over to the area, William had finally met up with Olive for this VERY secretive and totally NOT suspicious meeting backstage where even if she told him, it was okay, it still felt extremely wrong, but whatever, I guess. Once she noticed him, she full on SPRINTED at him and the two hugged. They would let go and just stare into each other's eyes, "Uh, why'd you call me back here again?" the boy asked. The two had now went away from their hug, Olive getting the writing she was going to read out on stage for the final time (since she won't need the paper by the time she's on stage). "Oh yeah! Uh, I need you to make sure my reading is good for the stage, the director said I needed more confidence in my writing, so I want to see if my confidence has improved you got it?" he nodded, she took his hand and led him to an area with a chair for him to sit in, she then started to speak, starting off soft and then gaining more and more confidence.
She stopped herself before she read out the entire thing, but even without knowing the whole thing, William was still enamored. It wasn't just admiration for the writing itself, or all the deeper meanings hidden into it, but because of how much he saw his friend grow in front of him, she would barely speak above a whisper at the bee, but now, she almost perfectly read this whole story. He had no choice but to clap (One lone clap though, because bro is trying so hard to be different). "That was incredible, you are," he once again hugged her, he leaned down to place his head on her shoulder, whispering into the crook of her neck, "You are so incredible," she would pat the back of his head, "I'm so honored to have you as my best friend," she whispered back, he lifted his head to look at her stupidly gorgeous face, "Me two, Ostrovsky,". Olive then looked around to see if there was anyone who somehow walked in, since no one had she would place her hands on his shoulders and kiss him softly on the lips, he followed suit, placing his hand on her waist. Eventually her hands placed themselves on the back of his neck, the two being pulled closer together in this heavenly bliss until, "ALL PERFORMERS COME BACKSTAGE! SHOW STARTS VERY SOON!". Immediately, the two pulled away, "Good luck," he would quickly tell her, kissing her, and then running back to find his two friends. "What a gentleman," Olive sighed, muttering romantically, "OOOOOOOOO OLIVE AND WILLIAM SITTING IN A-" "Are you still twelve?" I guess Leaf overheard her as you can tell by his teasings.
The rest of the gang sat in the auditorium for the onstage showcase, the announcer would walk out onto the stage, "Settle down settle down," the lady would call, the kids eventually sitting/calming down. "Welcome to the Putnam County District art showcase LIVE!" the audience started to cheer and clap, "Starting off, we have the school's dance teams performing "Thinking of you" mixed with "All I wanted"," More applause erupted. While watching the dance, Logainne started to think about Marcy, all she wanted was her, but she knew she probably wouldn't have her because of that MAN! It's always men. How they could be so much more if it wasn't for him, she loved her so much.
More performances commenced, Leaf was making a scarf in under five minutes. Leaf had a natural charm and general unintentional hilarity that led to the rest of the gang to start laughing, Chip however was also going through another emotion. He was dreamily staring at the boy, "He's so talented," he thought. Leaf showed off his finished product, the audience cheering as he bowed, "LETS GO LEAF!" Chip screamed like it was a football game, William had to shut him up with a sugar free lollipop that Logainne had. Chip pouted and crossed his arms like a little child as his friends laughed.
Eventually, it was William's time to be overly gushy over his crush since it was time for Olive to read her writing! While she read, the boy's heart started beating fast, and oh god when she looks at him, it was like she was about to have a medical emergency. "Calm down Peanut boy," Chip whispered, laughing a little, "Can tell you the same OLD man," Logainne laughed this time as Chip got offended. Once Olive was done reading, the three cheered (William and Logainne especially cheered,).
Before the show could end, the announcer then called for the audience not to leave. "We have one final special performance," she called out. The gang looked so confused, what do they mean there is ANOTHER performance??? And who they saw come out on stage shocked them insanely, "YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!?!?!?" "WHAT???" "HUH????"
"This song is for a special girl, you know who," it was *GASP* JOEL!?!?!??!?!??!?!? Joel pulled out his guitar and played "Hey there Delilah," like he was the main character. The gang all collectively cringed by the embarrassing scene in front of them, once done, someone came on stage. "MARCY!?!?!?!?!?!?" the three in the seats screamed. "MY girl of darkness," they then kissed on stage, cue William and Chip fake vomiting (Or actually vomiting) as Logainne ran out the building dramatically whilst "All I wanted" played in her head because the sadness filled her mind because HER girl is now with a DISGUSTING MAN.
Olive and Leaf were staring in the wings at the scene in front of them, "Why is she kissing a sin-" "Oh!" they both looked at each other then back at the scene, "OH!?!?!" Something fishy was going on.

Chapter 10: How Can One Potluck Go THIS BADLY!?!?
Summary:
TW: This chapter contains referenced Self harm as well as depictions of a very toxic relationship.
The gang celebrate completing semester one of the school year, however (**** you Joel), everything goes very VERY down hill.
Chapter Text
December 14th, 2010.
Today was the last day where the gang would see each other every day until the next semester comes up. Because of this, a potluck at the back of Logainne's RV was commenced.
School was over for the day, and the gang would be sitting in the back with what they brought. Tensions were bad however, now why was that? Well, guess who Marcy decided to bring, yup, ONCE AGAIN Joel budded his fried black/red hair head into one of the gang's hang out (Even though it was for the six of them ONLY). It was bad enough that Joel was a corny weirdo, but now, Marcy was only paying attention to him/ only talking to him. "Okay guys! As you know, today is the last day where we will see each other every day-" "We get it lispy, can you just move along now?" Joel interrupted, Marcy all over him. Logainne just sighed, trying to keep her composure before she threw this man out of the van window. "Leaf, start us of," she would say, Leaf pulled out a box of Ritz Crackers that he had to sneakily get from the local Grocery store far enough from his house so that his parents wouldn't burn him at the stake for not bringing some nasty completely made from scratch "food". "This already isn't going very well," Logainne thought, mentally face palming, but also thankful he was even able to bring something. Olive brought grapes, green ones, well at least they weren't- "OH GOD!" moldy. "Olive, when were these best by?" Logainne would frantically ask, Olive replied shyly with, "Last year,", everyone spat out the grapes immediately as Logainne threw them back into the package. William had brought napkins, specifically, black Santa napkins (GUYS!!! I SAID THE MEME THAT DIED YEARS AGO!!!>!??!?! LAUGH), Logainne loved the inclusivity William was showcasing, but that's it? NAPKINS ONLY!??! Anyways! Chip was the only one that brought actually good food since he brought rice from his lunch that day. While there wasn't a lot, they were all just thankful to have food that was actually good for once!
"Jojo, are we sure this is-" "It's a wonderful idea my princess of darkness, trust me," Marcy and Joel were whispering to each other, Joel looking a little devious. "Um, Marcy, what did you bring?" Logainne asked, Marcy gulped. "Well, we brought a uh, special treat," she said nervously, motioning to Joel. What Joel brought out was almost comically evil.
*GASP* "PEANUTS!?!?" William screamed, coughing as his throat started to close up on him. The other four looked frantic, Marcy tried to pull away the plate until, "Don't you dare," Joel whispered to her, pulling her back by the wrist so hard, it definitely left some mark. Chip handed Olive William's EpiPen, she stabbed his arm with it, and Chip handed Leaf the plate of peanuts which he threw out the window.
"MARCY! What has, what has gotten into you-" "Guys I am sorry-" "More like WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU GUYS???" Joel spoke for her, this angered her, but what she did next, she would instantly regret. "NONE OF YOU CAN GET THAT MY BOYFRIEND CAN HAVE HIS QURIKS! He's changed! He loves me, cares for me, makes me feel like his QUEEN! And instead of being supportive, you guys view him like the second spawn of Satan and I'm TIRED OF IT!" She snapped at all of them; Joel didn't try calming her down, rather he just egged her on, he wanted to see her angry, he wanted this all along. "Marcy this is not what this is about at all, YOU and your boyfriend tried to-" "I DON'T WANT TO HEAR IT OLIVE! Little miss "Oh I'm always sweet and innocent" meanwhile YOU were the one who WANTED US TOGETHER. YOU allowed this, and if you, if you were truly disgusted, none of you should've gotten us," Marcy's voice started to crack, she hated this wave of rage she was feeling, especially on Olive. It was like Joel had officially brainwashed her. "Get out," Logainne coldly said to the two toxic love birds, "Oh? What was that f-" "I said GO YOU DISGUSTING ****! NEVER TALK TO US AGAIN!" She screamed at Joel; Marcy started to leave but the man wouldn't budge until she had to FORCIBLY take him out with her. "Just know, it was your guy's fault, and she is better in MY hands than she EVER was with any of you FREAKS!" the "lovers" had officially left.
The other five were all worked up. Logainne felt herself cry out of anger for the way that SICK AND TWISTED MAN treated Marcy, how her Marc became a mindless shell that only does whatever Joel told her to do, Chip was also angry, William was starting to recover from his reaction, holding Olive in his arms who was an absolute weeping mess, and Leaf was just in the middle of it all, not knowing how to feel, which was deep down how everyone felt. They couldn't believe that their friend would turn her back on them and allow herself to be used by this man, he never changed, no matter how hard she tried convincing them. "He did this! He caused all of this!" Chip angerly said, punching the side of the vehicle they were all in. "HEY! Don't do that! It'll break-" "Oh, and you think I care? There are bigger problems, like how you and Peanut boy over there treat me like I'm nothing more than a dumb punching bag!" Chip would say defensively, leading William to get up from the spot he was at, bringing Olive over to Leaf, "A PUNCHING BAG? Chip I have NEVER made you feel that way in our whole-" "Well you make ME feel that way-" *BAM* Chip had officially punched William in the face, leading to him having a bloody nose. "You are still the biggest loser I've ever met, Barfy," he said, he then went over to Olive, "And that is the "man" you're in love with?" Chip had now hopped out of the van, Leaf followed suit, fearing the rampage his friend was going to go on if he didn't go with him.
And now there was three. Olive was wiping the blood off of William's face with a spare hanky he gave her, Logainne was breathing heavily, "Why? Why is all of this happening? I just, WHY AM I SUCK A FAILURE??" the negative thoughts in the small girl's mind got worst and worst until, she felt her hair being yanked by her own hands, and she went back to how she was when she was only five years old and the kids at school told her the most god awful things that no kid wanted to hear about not only herself, but also her dads. "LOLO NO! WHAT ARE YOU?" Olive stopped what she was doing with William and the two moved their focus on trying to calm down Logainne, "Please go home, both of you," she said as she continued to yank harder and harder, "I'm sorry, I'm really, really sorry," and like that, Logainne was alone, again.
"I feel horrible," Olive told her friend as the two walked in the freezing cold December weather, she felt like she was going to vomit on the snowy sidewalk. A little more walking later, and William was now holding his crush's hair back as she threw up in a nearby trash can because of all the guilt she felt, all the upset emotions that filled up inside of her. She couldn't speak, only cry. Once done vomiting, he just gave her some water to clear her mouth from the substance that came out earlier. Once the two got closer to Olive's house, she tugged on his jacket sleeve, "Please, stay," she'd tell him quietly, she never wanted him to leave, but especially not in this current moment.
"LOGAINNE!" Dan dad called out. She had been in that van for a long time now. He and Carl went out to take her back in the house, and what they saw absolutely broke them. It was their fourteen-year-old daughter, passed out and bleeding from the violent scratch marks on her arms. "My baby" Carl called out, usually he was extremely over dramatic, but today, he was too emotional to get dramatic. The two men picked up their daughter and brought her inside. Once inside, Dan brought out the first aid kit, putting the polysporin and bandage wraps, Carl gave her some water. After some time, "Dads?" she had woken up. Both of the men hugged her tightly, while it's true, they've been very harsh towards their child, specifically when it came to overworking her to exhaustion, they knew they weren't "Fathers of the year", but they still deeply cared for her. The three of them stayed in this position for a while.
Chip was beating up the punching bag in his backyard as Leaf watched his friend rage. Once Chip was tired out, he turned to Leaf, "What happened to her?" he would ask, "What happened to the Marcy who didn't mend herself around some guy who treats her HORRIBLY?" Leaf shrugged at Chip's question, he didn't know how to feel about all of this, Marcy was still someone he wanted to be friends with, even if she's lying to everyone (even herself). "Do you have a camera?" Leaf nodded, pulling one out of thin air. "How on earth-" "Don't question my MAGICAL powers!" the two laughed at Leaf's 'magic'. Chip magically printed a photo of the Webkinz Marcy had (A black cat), Leaf started to film. "So, today someone I thought was my friend left me, so Gramercy, this is for you," he held the photo up, flicked a lighter, and burnt the photo in his hands, staring into the camera while trying not to cry. Once the photo was completely burnt, the camera stopped recording.
The boys were in Chip's room, surrounding his laptop, as the video they recorded was being uploaded to Myspace with the caption "I'm sorry, but I had to,". "Are you sure this is a good idea?" Leaf would ask, leaning a little too close to the other boy's face after turning away from the computer. Chip gulped, heart was racing a little too fast, the boys were so close, not just literally, but also emotionally. Since being rejected by his older sister, Leaf has always been the one who was there for Chip, every big and little moment flashed to Chip like he was about to die, the movie, the park, seeing the talent the other boy had in croquet, the KISS TO NIRVANA!??!? Once the memories started to clog his brain, he kissed his friend on the lips, holding his cheeks, almost immediately, the two pulled away from the kiss, breathing heavily. "Did I ever tell you that I'm Bi?" Chip asked in a hushed voice, Leaf shook his head, "Well, I'm Bisexual," Leaf acted surprise that his "NO HOMO" bro was actually queer, "Well, I'm gay, and I uh Chip?" the boy sitting in his chair lit up. "Do you uh uh uhhhhhhhhhhhh, want to-" "Want to be my boyfriend?" Chip had taken the words out of his mouth; it was probably the least magical confession in all of gay media, but when he saw the way Leaf got up, smiling in that bright smile he always had on his face, Chip started to smile as well, his heart swelling like the Green Day album cover. "YES! YES! YES! I WANT TO BE YOUR BOYFRIEND!!!" he excitedly answered, hoping around in a circle, he then went back to where Chip was and kissed him again on the lips. Chip had now pulled the way taller boy onto his lap, and they went on for a LONG WHILE, running out of breath after hours.
At Joel's house, Marcy and him sat on his bed, looking at the video Chip had uploaded. "HA! He's so jealous of us," he turned to his girl, "Uh, I know right? He's such a man child," Marcy said reluctantly, while yes, Chip's video was extremely immature, but also, she didn't fully blame him since she would be the same way if someone did what she did. "What? Don't tell me you actually feel SORRY for that loser f-" 'WHAT? No! I don't feel sorry for him," she rose her voice at him in defense, he did not like this. "Don't you DARE talk to me like that," he screamed at her, grabbing her wrist again, raising a hand up as if to slap her. "You stay away from those freaks, and if you DARE think of talking to any of them, you will GET IT,"
Marcy had gotten back to her house at 9 pm, her cheek stinging and wrist so sore that she could barely even open up her laptop, so she just decided to go to sleep.
December 17th, 2010.
The first day of winter break came, Marcy's wrist healed for the most part, so she can actually use her laptop better (Without her wrist aching), and what she saw was laughably immature. It was a video of Olive and Chip beating up a photo of her Webkinz. In any other context, she would laugh at the stupidity, but she couldn't get herself to. She sent a long message to all of her friends:
"(Insert the name of the spellers, since this was sent to all five, the name changed for each),
I think it is best if I stopped talking to you for a while, you guys were great friends when you were
But you guys can't get behind the fact that I'm happy now with a man you guys don't like, and I can't be friends with that
So, goodbye,"
Marcy had clicked send to all of the messages one after the other, she closed her computer, and just laid down on her bed, tearing up about the fact she had no friends now, just as Joel wanted.

Chapter 11: Cause Depression Runs in our Family

Chapter Text
December 18th, 2010.
The second day of winter break commenced, and basically everyone in the once gang was upset however, one girl especially was not happy.
Olive Ostrovsky laid in bed, staring at the photos of her and Marcy, tears uncontrollably falling as she discarded each one after a long stare, "I'm sorry Marcy," she quietly said. The girl couldn't get out of bed, couldn't eat, the past three nights were practically sleepless, writing poetry didn't give her any joy, she was going through it, and she felt like she shouldn't. She wasn't the one being mistreated, she can't be upset.
Adults in Olive's life suspected she might have depression, that truth had been even before her mom left, so this supposed depression wasn't just because of her mom (but it mostly was).
Now, you may ask, why is Olive THIS depressed all of a sudden? Well, remember the video her and Chip made as well as the message Marcy sent all of her once friends basically asking them to never talk to her again? Yup, that's exactly why. Well, it wasn't JUST that, but all of that is what triggered some deep emotions inside of the girl. As per usual, her dad didn't care, he never cared about what his daughter went through, "She's just lazy," and "She's just overdramatic," were only some of the plethora of things he would say whenever Olive got in these kinds of states. The words he says ringed in her mind over and over and over.
"OLIVIA!" her dad screamed, she couldn't get up, she couldn't even move in her bed, this angered the man downstairs. Eventually, he got up and stumbled into the girl's room, clearly still intoxicated in some way. "I called you how many times now? And you LAZY good for nothing PATHETIC-" he screamed out more horrible words and phrases, but it all sounded like white noise to her. He eventually left after leaving stingy burns on her shoulders and face, leaving her on her carpet with how he forcibly picked her up off of her bed. She just laid on her carpet, crying even more because that's all she felt like she was good for anymore, maybe he was right after all.
December 19th, December 20th, December 21st, 2010.
Days and days had passed, and with each one, Olive spiraled more and more with no real hope of even getting out of the episode.
December 22nd, 2010.
Olive's friends had notice how she hasn't spoken a word to any of them since Marcy's message, it's like she well, did the unspeakable. One friend of hers specifically was really not handling any of this well at all.
William was sitting on the couch in Joan's house, staring at his Nokia phone, waiting for a call or ANYTHING. "What's wrong William?" Joan would ask, sitting down next to him, he sighed. "It's Olive, ever since everything that happened with Marcy, and the video she did with PTA boy, she hasn't answered any of my calls, she, she-" he was getting extremely worried with each word, fearing the worst happened to his best crush friend. "Son, it'll be okay, I promise you, she will be okay," Joan would tell him comfortingly, she patted his back, mostly since she knew that Olive was practically the only person allowed to hug him. "Are you sure she will be?" the older woman nodded, "But, I think it'd be best if you go check to make sure,"
So now, the mother and son were driving over to the girl's house, the ride took a bit of time, but once there, he knocked on the door, no one answered for a solid five minutes, that was until, "Aren't you Wallace or whatever-" "It's William," he quickly responded to the monster in front of him, running into the house and straight to the door of Olive's room, knocking it gently. "DAD, PLEASE DON'T" "I promise I'm not your dad," she lit up hearing that, she tried to get up from her bed but couldn't fully get the strength to do so. "Then, are you-" "Yes, I am William, is it okay if I enter-" "Please come in," the way she said the last part broke apart of his soul, she sounded like she was going to break any second, he opened the door, and the sight in front of him made him break even more.
It was Olive at her absolute worst. Hair extremely tangled since she hasn't brushed it for days, eye bloodshot red from all of the times she has cried, and for similar reasons, her voice was fading away, the clothes she wore were the same ones from Friday morning (How did he know? How dare you ask something so preposterous,), she had some of the heaviest eye bags from a total of five hours of sleep these past few days, she could barely stay up without falling back down since she barely ate anything, and you want to know the worst part? The burns all over her arms, shoulders, and face. "Olive, what happened? Please, tell me what's wrong," he immediately went onto the bed, holding her as gently as one held a piece of glass. "Everything is wrong," she said in her extremely quiet voice. "If you can, can you try to explain? I'll listen to every second," then after hearing that, she tried explaining all of the negative emotions that she tried hiding from the other four these past few days, all of the guilt she felt about even bringing Joel into Marcy's life, how it was completely her fault, how she wishes she was 21 already so she can just become like her dad and drink all of these problems away, this felt like an hour long therapy session, but William didn't care, he was going to listen to every single negative emotion that came out of her mouth.
"My dad was right, I'm nothing more than a lazy, selfish, pathetic failure, I'm the reason my mom left, I'm the reason everyone hates each other now, and I, I don't even know what to do without-" "Olive," his soft tone was back, he wasn't going to stand and listen to the words that disgusting excuse of a father forced down Olive's mind because he knew all of it was false. "None of this was entirely your fault, you had no idea how horrible he was, none of us did," he started to comfort, patting her back really lightly, he then continued to speak, "Also, your dad is completely wrong, you've achieved more than he ever will, I'll continue to tell you this until I die, I'm proud of you,".
Olive's crying had stopped for the most part, "I'm sorry, I just, I need to apologize to her," William was a bit shocked by this, but honestly, he really wasn't. "Why is that?" she took a breath after he asked her the question, "Well, you're right, it wasn't completely my fault, but I still overreacted, also I wish I did more to prevent those two from getting to this point," the two had split away from their hug at that point, both now looking at the ground, "Well, that's fair," the shoulder of William's shirt was completely soaked, "When was the last time you took proper care of yourself?" he held her hand, tracing the scar on it as he spoke. "Last Tuesday," she quietly admitted, "Sorry if that was too-" "No you're okay," He then found her hairbrush on the floor, all cute and pink, not only that, but he also found a bottle of (hopefully) spray. "Would you mind if I at least try to brush, this?" she nodded, she turned so her back faced him. He put the spray in first, and then he ATTEMPTED (Key word was attempted) to brush it, he had basically no experience in this, but what he did have was patience with his friend. So after a while, her hair was decent enough that it wouldn't be a hair stylists' number one nightmare.
One thing the girl wanted to do was making the boy a bit nervous, for him to bathe with her, not in the shower because he knew she would probably pass out in there. He agreed to this NOT because of any WEIRD reasons FREAKS, but because he genuinely wanted to help her feel better and actually feel cared for. "Can you please turn around?" he followed suit, turning away as she turned on the water, took off her clothes, and got in as gently as possible, he would follow her actions.
Once both in, the boy found the soap, put some of it in his hands, and ran it through her hair. After all of the hair washing was done, she handed him a nearby cloth with soap on it, and he blushed bright red because he ran it across her soft, tanned body. The two were almost face to face with each other the entire time, making the environment even more tense, and honestly, the awkward tension was still not completely gone just because they've been friends for a while.
Once the two were actually done washing each other, the faucet was turned off, and the two just sat in the tub together, holding each other like a couple of besties. And since they were in this position, it was time for an in depth/ insightful conversation! "Barf," he looked at her, "What are we?" he started to look confuse, "What do you mean-" "Sorry, I mean, what is our relationship?".
Eyes widened, complete silence, tension getting heavier than it already was. This question had lingered between the two for a while now however, it got more and more trapped in their heads since they went to that aquarium a few months ago. The random "I love you's,", the fact they both had their FIRST KISS, the fact that their friends started to assume they were romantic more and more these past two months, but honestly, when you have a person whose face makes you want to just give up everything you were doing so you could be with them or their lips make you feel like maybe, just maybe, romance wasn't some gross, overly corny feeling, but rather, what you want for the rest of your life. But it wasn't just their friends that thought they were becoming more romantic, the two of THEM started to notice it, they've hugged more, held hands (Or well fingers more accurately), kissed each other (Which honestly should've been the biggest give away that they weren't just "Really good best friends" or whatever bs they actually believed,), the constant calls on crunchy Nokia's, the "studying" hangouts (DATES!!!) that led to them just cuddling on whoever's house they were at bed or floor, they've shared more to each other than any other person, don't even mention how they've seen each other at their lowest constantly, it's like they were dating, but with the extra step of "OH were JUST FRIENDS ACTUALLY!" which pissed all their friends (and me lowkey) off.
He gulped, he really didn't want to answer this question, but knew he had to. "Honestly, I DON'T actually know anymore," more silence until, "Why do you ask?" it was now her turn to gulp, trying to keep hold of her composure, "Because, well, I uh," the words weren't coming out, no matter how much she tried pushing them out, nothing coherent came out. Were the two of them just going to RUIN the years of history they had just because of two stupid crushes?
December 25th, 2010.
It was Christmas day, Olive was in her room doing her favorite tradition for the holidays, absolutely nothing! But thankfully, she felt way better than she was the past few days, even if that question in the tub still had her shaken up to some degree. "OLIVIA! A package for you," She heard her dad yell from down the hall.
Quickly, she had went to get it from the front, taking it to her room. The gifts were from her friends (A book, a deer plush, and a My Little Pony figurine (Pegasister Olive is so canon)), Rona and Shana (A photo collage she helped them make), and William, what he gave her was, especially special, and no it wasn't just Fearless and Speak Now on CD, it was even better than that, a box.
In that box was letters. Tons of them. All of which were written at different times throughout this year alone, the smile illuminating on her face was brighter than usual at this sight. It was moments like the past few days that made Olive grateful for the people in her life, the friends she now had (Even amongst all the fighting), the women who were her parents, but most of all, her best friend that she definitely needs to ask out sometime because my god does her heart go into orbit because of him.

Chapter 12: Logainne Wants Marcy Back
Summary:
TW: This episode mentions murder suicide near the end, while its not graphic, I'm still bringing it up here (will put this in the tags too)
Today's Logainne's Birthday! All she wants however is her best friend back.
Chapter Text
December 30th, 2010.
Today is Logainne's birthday!
She woke up and went down to the kitchen to pray to her Princess Diana shrine, "SURPRISE!" Her dads jump scared her which actually made her jump a bit, "DADS!" she yelled out. "Sorry dear," Dan would say, going up and placing a hand on her shoulder, she sighed, "It's fine," she said, still slightly shook from the surprise.
A little later, the three sat at the table, Logainne opening up her presents that catered to her Obama obsession and her debate obsession with a new stand for debates. She loved them, but something inside of her felt, empty. No, she wasn't feeling this way JUST because she was hungry since even while eating breakfast with her dads, she STILL felt empty deep inside. Her dad's noticed the less overly energetic girl surprisingly.
"Logainne, what's wrong? You'd normally have another politically driven-" Carl then turned to look at Dan, "Oh," he said, turning his head back to face the young girl. "It's about that girl your friends with, isn't it?" a meek little nod was all she gave, "Well sweetie, let me tell you, friends won't always last, and I know how much she meant to you," Dan comforted, Carl then chimed in, "Exactly! You should try and get her back, but if you don't think it's worth it, then that's okay, it's your choice after all,".
It was clear Carl's words especially assured her because once back in her rooms, she plugged her web camera into her computer, turning it on in the process.
"Hello, it is Logainne, and this message is to my once best friend, Marcy," she felt herself choke up on her words, voice cracking on "My once best friend". She then started to update her said friend on the past few days, Christmas, her birthday, the fear that Olive was also leaving her. She also talked about the bands that she started to listen to BECAUSE of her, Green Day, MCR, it's like Logainne learnt the two's whole discography just to feel connected to her. Hell, beyond all of that, Logainne even wanted to dye her hair to match her friend's overly dyed but surprisingly not fried hair, God she wanted to run her fingers ever so gently across it again.
She eventually turned her web cam off, uploading the video onto her Myspace, thankfully, only her friends would see it since she was private on there. She almost instantly got a message.
"Are you okay Lolo :("
It was Olive. One of the few friends that she KNEW was on her side, she added onto her message.
"I'm asking because of that video,"
Logainne then replied.
"I figured and OLIVE PLEASE!!! I MISS MARCY
SO BADLY!!!"
"I do too but, I don't know how to help :("
Logainne needed to think of something, ANYTHING to get her girl back. "Maybe, but, would they be aboard? I mean, Oli still talks to those two but, what if they don't"
"Can you, potentially, invite William over to
my house? I can get Leaf but, you'll need to get
Willy,"
"I'll try to! Also, check your mailbox,"
"Woah, Oli loved giving gifts!" Logainne thought to herself as she got the small package from the mail. Once back in her house, she'd open it up to reveal the money that wasn't even promised for the radio show (Yeah remember that? We miss when everyone was friends,), she also saw an American colored loom bracelet, and photos, "God Olive, you're not helping me very much," Logainne thought, seeing how many photos were with her were with Marcy. But she couldn't be sad for too long because she immediately got a message.
"So, I messaged the boys,"
"And, what did they
say?"
"Well I was able to convince Barf and Chip to meet up tomorrow
I also asked Leaf, and he said that it'd be an okay time as well!!
:D"
"Thats wonderful! THANK YOU SO MUCH OLI!!!!
Tell them that we have
an important meeting,"
The rest of the day continued as normal until she got ANOTHER message, but this time it WASN'T Olive, or Leaf, or Chip, or anyone she seemed to know.
"Hello,"
Logainne looked at the message confused, "Is this, who I think it is?", the mere thought excited her a TOTALLY NORMAL amount.
At Marcy's house, she laid on her bed, crying because Joel once again made her feel terrible. Now, to set the scene of what even happened, the two went to get coffee together. However, while there, the poor barista got his order wrong. Now, you think that an almost 18-year-old would respond somewhat reasonably, but nope! The lady got yelled out and Marcy got burnt by scolding hot coffee, Marcy was supposed to be the girl he claimed he "Loved so much". On top of that, on the drive home, Marcy tried talking to the man about what happened, only to get into an argument with him, she just gave up which led to a bunch of belittling and mocking on his end. "Why did I do this, GOD I'm so stupid, Jesus will never forgive me now," Her sad thoughts were interrupted though by a notification on her laptop.
"Who is this???"
The message was from Logainne, just like she hoped.
"LOGAINNE Thank GOD you responded
It's Marcy,"
"WAIT!?!?? Really??? :0
I thought you blocked all of us,"
"Well, yeah he told me to.
BUT, I made this alt to message you,"
"Also, I only REALLY blocked Chip and Olive,"
She definitely regretted the decision, but also those two have been the most emotionally immature over all of this, even if they were probably just worried, making a stupid music video over it? Yeah, real mature of those two.
"Well, on the topic of messaging and all of that,
Do you still hate us?"
Marcy didn't reply immediately since on her other account, Joel started to message her, she gulped.
"Call me."
"Ok."
Jeez, he just straight demanded a call, it wasn't even a question. She just went back to Logainne.
"Honestly, I should be asking you that.
Also, I need to go :((((((("
Logainne didn't reply to the last message, she needed to get this New Years celebration prepared. It was 5 pm, so her and her dads can make a quick stop to the store down the street. She went downstairs, "Dads, I need to go to the store,"
During the call on the phone, Marcy was just thinking about her past friends and their feelings on the whole ordeal. Like, even if Logainne wasn't mad at her, she probably still couldn't view her the same after what happened that faithful day in that RV, nobody could view her the same. "God! Why don't you talk?" the way he was talking to her at that moment (Or well, whenever he talks to her) it felt like she wasn't human, she was an automaton in his mind (Which is exactly what she's NOT), a robot designed to like his British self. She hung up after the comment claiming she was "too busy", spam, spam, spam, spam, spam, sp-"SHUT UP" she screamed out of basically every negative emotion imaginable, anger, annoyance, sadness, you name it. She knew the spam was all just him claiming that she was a terrible person because she didn't want to talk to his boring white bread, beans on that said white bread self. NOT TO MENTION, he was threatening to KILL HER, her past friends, and then himself, he was a one trick pony, and she was tired of his BS.
As she normally did since she stopped caring about the expectations, she cried herself to sleep while playing some music, "Why didn't I listen to them? GOD MARCY WHY DID YOU BELIEVE HIM??? Are you THAT STUPID??? Maybe he was right on one thing, I am horrible,"
