Chapter Text
“Of your pregnancy.”
Grian stared at Sausage trying to determine if he was joking or not. He blinked, opened his mouth then closed it again. He finally tilted his head towards the side in confusion before saying, “Excuse me?”
Sausage stared at the bewildered man and slowly repeated himself, “Of your pregnancy. You're like what two months along?”
“Back up dude,” Grian said, putting his arms up defensively. “There is no way in the nether I am pregnant. I haven’t done the deed since double life and that was months ago. Plus I’ve only been on servers that have player breeding turned off!”
At this point Cub had come over and joined them, “What’s this about player breeding?”
Sausage pointed at Grian and asked, “Has there been anything different about him since he’s done the deed last?”
Cub blinked and shook his head, “Besides the bond breaking nothing really. He’s been sick over it and he’s had these weird heats.”
Grian pointed at Cub and nearly shouted, “See!” before quieting down so only the other two omegas could hear him, “Not pregnant.”
Cub’s jaw nearly dropped before he looked over to Sausage and nearly screamed, “You think he’s pregnant?”
Cub’s near scream drew the attention of Keralis and Bdubs. They both looked at the trio drunkenly and then at each other. The trio in question were frozen in their spots waiting for the inevitable reaction. They didn’t get one as soon after Bdubs ended up causing a crime scene and many of the omegas started calling for a alcohol cut off.
“We’re talking about this later right amigos?” Sausage questioned quietly to the other two, earning one hesitant nod and another eager nod. “Good.”
Luckily the alcohol was cut off, though Cub snuck in another shot, and bedtime came and went. Morning soon arose causing much complaint in the church over hangovers and early birds. Grian snickered as he watched his pack groan and moan over the early hour and the head pains it brought. The conversation he had with Sausage and Cub gone from his mind in the early morning haze.
Cub stretched from the other side of the room, luckily he had a high tolerance for alcohol, made eye contact with the possible parent and raised an eyebrow. Sausage saw the gesture and made a motion to him. The two turned to him and he gestured that they could go to his place to talk. The two nodded then began to help with the cleanup.
Sausage and Cub were quick to leave to get in better clothes than PJs as Bdubs had thrown up on their next day ones. Kathrine and Jimmy were the next ones needing to check in on their empires or to go see potential mates. Keralis was next after finally waking up enough to walk straight, and Bdubs arose soon after him to go take a shower. Oli was last to wake up and left immediately to go check on his egg.
“I saw that look Sausage and Cub gave you,” Gem said as she and Grian were folding up blankets. “You go meet up with them over whatever gossip session their planning and your dreading.”
“Is it really that obvious?” Grian chuckled.
Gem raised an eyebrow and calmly threatened, “You go or I set Apollo on your butt.”
“I’m going! I’m going!”
Gem chuckled as she watched her older brother figure fly off in fear of her bear. She loved scaring people.
Grian kept looking behind him in fear of the bear as he flew to a certain omegas base. He was not looking forward to this conversation he was about to have.
Sausage was quick to usher Grian inside when he saw him arrive. Cub was already sitting in the foyer with a cup of tea in his hands. Sausage shoved one into Grian’s as he sat down.
“So. Grian being pregnant.” Cub stated blandly.
“It doesn’t make sense though!” Grian exclaimed. “I haven’t had sex since Double Life, and it had the same settings as Hermitcraft!”
“Double Life?” Sausage said curiously. “That’s where Jimmy, Joel, and Scott disappeared to a while back, right?”
“It’s non consensual,” Cub added. “All Grian gets when it happens is a little bit of the time-“
“I’ve tried to nudge it around and such but it doesn’t work as well oftentimes.” Grian interrupted.
“The players participating,” Cub continued. “The twist and the rules.”
“And it has the same settings as Hermitcraft right?” Sausage asked, twisting his hands in his lap at the new knowledge.
“It should,” Grian confirmed.
“The things that orchestrate the games,” Cub started hesitantly. “Could they change the settings?”
Grian rolled his eyes, “We’re seriously not suggesting I’m pregnant right?”
“Could they change the settings?” Cub repeated, more urgently this time.
Sausage caught on to what Cub was saying and choked on his tea causing the two omegas to look up at him. He waved them off.
“I don’t think so?” Grian said hesitantly. “Settings can’t really be changed in game can they?”
“Ima call Keralis over.” Cub stated standing up.
“What why?” Grian stood up, knocking his tea over.
“That’s smart,” Sausage murmured in agreement, getting up as well to get a towel. “We probably should have included him in the conversation from the start.”
“Why?” Grian questioned loudly as he assisted with the clean up.
Cub had stepped out at this point and Sausage was the only one in the room. Instead of getting the towel the sudden parent walked over to Grian and grabbed his hands. “Your pack omega can help with this more than we can. He knows the code and he can help with the code. Not only that but he can probably provide more information then we can.”
Grian started shaking with nerves, his communicator vibrating with messages, and was quickly pulled into an embrace by Sausage. “If they can mess with the code, what else could they do?” He whispered.
“Is everything ok in here sweet faces,” a concerned Papa K asked. He must have rushed over as soon as Cub had called. The caller in question stood right behind him, arms folded. Sometimes it was hard to believe he was an omega and not a beta or alpha.
“What’s the possibility of Player breeding being turned on mid play time on a server?” Sausage asked calmly, ripping the bandaid off. Grian shook even more at the possibility. He thought they could only watch. He didn’t think they could mess with the coding after making the game. They promised it would be like Hermitcraft.
Keralis looked to his shaking pack mate and looked to the other two omegas in the room. Each one was staring at him, one with anxiety, one with worry, and one with frustration. Cub was still as ever focused on the situation at hand, while Sausage wanted the answers in order to help the shaky omega in his arms. Grian didn’t know what he wanted to hear.
He shakily said, “It depends. On some servers like 2b2t it’s permanently turned off with a code lock. It can’t be changed. I know that some servers like the Dream SMP have it turned off at the beginning and that would make it hard to turn it on but not impossible. Hermitcraft turns it off after the creation, making it really easy to turn on and off.”
Grian whispered quietly enough that only Sausage could hear, “It didn’t have a code lock.”
“Your son has returned!” Joel yelled into the house as the front door slammed open. All four omegas jumped and turned towards the door. Joel stared at them all, Hermes pulling on his Thunder Daddy’s hair while sitting on his shoulders. “Bad timing?”
Unbeknownst to all but Sausage, Hermes had asked, “Is parrot man ok?”
Sausage's eyes widened and quickly moved to set down Grian on his chair. “Parrot man’s ok mi hijo,” he said to his son as he rushed over. Joel quickly took him off his shoulders to give to Hermes’s other father. Sausage lightly pused Hermes back to Joel saying, “I actually need you two to do me a favor. I need you to find Sheriff Jimmy and get him to give you some yellow terracotta ok?”
Luckily Joel understood the hint and swung Hermes back up onto his shoulders. “Aye aye captain think we can do that Hermes?”
Hermes threw his arms up in a form of a cheer that Sausage could hear in his head, and pointed out towards the door. Soon both boys were gone and the three omegas sighed in relief of no little ears. Grian on the other hand had his head in his hands chanting the same seven words Sausage had earlier.
“Brian could you speak up please?” Keralis asked as he heard the repeated mumbling.
“It didn’t have a code lock,” Sausage told them. “That’s what he’s saying.”
After hearing the words come from someone else’s mouth solidified it even more for Grian. His shaking intensified with sobs as his heart raced and his breathing intensified. Dim in the back of his brain he could feel the worry and concern coming from Scar. Dots danced in his eyes and soon they closed, oblivious to the worry around him. Little known to Grian’s ears, the worries intensified as he passed out.
Chapter Text
Grian awoke with a gasp and worried murmurs going over his head. He was laying down on a couch of some kind and thumps of worry and concern beat in time with his heart. His head was in someone’s lap and fingers were dragging their way through his hair. His lips felt numb as did his hands and feet. His wings were practically nonexistent and he breathed. Grian slowly pushed himself up and looked around. Keralis was sitting next to him with worry behind his big eyes, but a scent and a smile that promised safety and comfort. The winged omega could hear how Cub was talking with someone over his communicator and Sausage clinking cups and saucers together as he nervously drank his tea.
“Hello sweet face,” Keralis said softly as Grian rearranged himself to a sitting position. The motherly figure soon put a hand on the previously stressed omega’s lower back and began to rub it.
“Hi,” Grian croaked, accepting the new cup of tea that the nervous omega offered to him.
The three sat in a quiet silence, the only sounds from Cub’s conversation, the sips of tea, and occasional keens from Grian as Keralis rubbed sore muscles to loose ones. While Grian was passed out, Sausage had explained the situation to Keralis causing a near burst of anxious alpha from Xisuma. Despite wanting to come over and check on his mate and pack mate, he was persuaded not to as they didn’t want another possible meltdown.
Cub let out a woof of air as he sat down in the armchair next to Sausage. “Just had to starve off a worried alpha. You might want to just let him know you're alright G.”
Grian nodded, not needing context to know who he was talking about. Grian pulled out his communicator and sent a message to Scar to let him know he was alright, purposefully ignoring the previous concerned messages.
“There wasn’t a code lock,” Grian stated blandly, almost emotionless.
“There wasn’t a code lock,” Cub confirmed, rubbing a hand over his face.
“And you haven’t had sex since Double Life?” Keralis checked, earning a nod.
“How-how did you know I was pregnant?” Grian asked, looking up at Sausage.
“I thought you were pregnant because of two reasons Grian. Remember we aren’t sure,” Sausage stated, the yet hanging in the air. “One was your scent. I recognized the undertones. The other was with the nesting. It was nearly identical to how I was nesting with Hermes.”
Cub snapped his fingers, “And it could explain the nausea you were having that Scar wasn’t.”
“Don’t forget about the finicky respawn as well,” Keralis added.
“But the bond and the weird heats?” Grian softly protested, knowing in the back of his mind that it was futile.
“Could just have been excuses,” Cub shrugged.
“You can still have heats while you're pregnant,” Sausage said, surprising them all. “It’s rare but it happens. It doesn’t typically involve sex. It’s just a period when you're extra hormonal and just need those you love nearby.”
“Could I just take a test and we be done with it?” Grian whispered as he stared into his tea.
Keralis and Cub looked at him. Neither of them recognized this man that sat before them. They saw a crazy and fun loving creature in Grian. Never before have they seen him this vulnerable or down in the dumps. Neither of Grian’s pack mates spoke up, concern bleeding through their eyes and neither of them knew how to handle this.
Sausage, on the other hand, quickly took the reins of the situation. “There are a couple options. I’ve kept pregnancy tests on hand ever since Hermes. That’s option number one. Number two we could see a doctor offserver-“
“I know how to test for pregnancy,” Cub added dryly.
Sausage pointed at Cub and said, “That’s option two. Option three is to get Xisuma to see how many entities are in your code.”
“How do you know all this stuff man?” Grian chuckled wetly.
“I researched a lot after Hermes. It was a good coping mechanism,” Sausage shrugged. “Now which do you want to do?”
“One,” Grian whispered quietly.
“I’ll go get one then,” Sausage said just as quietly.
Both he and Grian got up and walked to the bathroom. The pregnancy test was taken, and the four waited in anxious silence. At times Keralis and Sausage would try to start a conversation, only for it to quickly dry out as all any of them could think about was if Grian was pregnant or not. The five minutes it took the pregnancy test to process nearly killed them all. It was the longest five minutes ever.
BEEP
The four jumped at Sausage’s com. The timer was up.
“I can’t do it,” Grian cried silently. “I’m not ready.” Then much quietly that only Cub could hear, “Not again.”
Grians head rose to stare at the test then to each of the men around him. Sausage shook his head at Grian’s glance. Cub looked on blankly, still processing the two words he had heard, but Keralis slowly, but surely, took the test and flipped it over.
Keralis looked over to his pack mate. His son if he could. His friend. His family.
Keralis looked at Grian and said the words.
“Congratulations Brian, you’re pregnant.”

Chapter Text
A couple days have gone by since the big discovery of Grian’s pregnancy. After the discovery he had sworn them to secrecy save for the exception of Xisuma. Grian was doomed to daily visits from all of them, save for Cub, since the reveal. Scar had noticed the anxiety and had been stopping by almost as often as everyone else but was shooed off with simple “I’m fine” “It’s ok don’t worry about me” or sometimes the ever present “Not right now Scar”.
Now today had gone like yesterday. A visit from Keralis and Xisuma, then a check in with Sausage. Scar coming by ‘coincidently’ and a few other hermits checking in. Grian knew he was isolating a little bit but Grumbot had still yet to wake up so he blamed it on that. He couldn’t think to think about the weight in his stomach.
“Why don’t you come get some tea with me?” Cub asked, startling Grian. The older omega grabbed onto the back of the younger sweater and continued, “Actually you don’t get a choice.”
“Cub!” Grian exclaimed as he tried, and failed, to escape Cub’s grip. “Grumbot-”
“Can wait. We need to talk.” Cub continued as he dragged off the winged omega.
“About what?” Grian sighed. “If it’s about-”
“Not really but also kinda is. Thought I’d let you process this one before comforting you.”
“Confronting me about what?” Grian asked as he was finally let go.
Cub looked at him up and down, grabbed his hand and continued walking. Grian sighed and resigned himself to not getting answers till they were at Cub’s place. Cub still didn’t say anything, even as he pushed Grian to sit down. He didn’t say anything when he put the kettle on. He didn’t say anything as he was preparing the tea. He only said something when they had both taken a sip.
“I really don’t know how to go about this,” he sighed.
“Just spit it out,” Grian rolled his eyes.
“What did you mean by ‘not again’?” Cub asked plainly yet with such concern in his voice it sent a chill up Grian’s spine.
“You’re going to have to elaborate, bud,” Grian said.
Cub took a deep breath before saying carefully, “When we were going to look at the pregnancy test, you said not again. What did you mean?”
Grian froze, the cup forgotten in his hands. He shakily took a breath before whispering, “You heard that?” Cub nodded. “Oh.”
“What happened Grian?” Cub asked, concern bleeding into his voice. Never before had Grian heard him this concerned. “I’m asking as your friend.”
The smaller omega sat there pondering. Should he tell Cub? This was something not even Mumbo knew about him. Not even Pearl or Jimmy knew this. The only person besides him who knew this was dead. Shouldn’t it be time to let the past go. Because of this thought, Grian took a deep breath before beginning, “When I was a kid my parents left me in Japan. I was taken in by a nice family, luckily. They had a son named Taurtis. He and I were best friends. I went to elementary school with him and a little bit of middle school.
The Child Protective Services finally caught on to my abandonment. They found my grandparents and sent me to live with them. Now my grandparents are well off. It was because of their money I was able to go back to Japan and visit Taurtis.”
“I don’t like this,” Cub interrupted.
“You shouldn’t,” Grian shook his head, chuckily sadly. “I didn't know it at the time but Taurtis had fallen into a bad group of friends. When I visited I got mixed into said group. Shenanigans happened Sam stabbed Taurtis-”
“Back up what?”
“Sam stabbed Taurtis, keep up Cub,” Grian snarked. “After he was stabbed Taurtis tried to drive me home. We ended up crashing. Both of us ended up in the hospital, Taurtis longer than I. Sam offered to take me in while I worked to reschedule flights and stuff. I agreed. It was there he tried, and succeeded if you can believe it, to gaslight me into thinking I was Taurtis.”
Cub sat there shocked as Grian took a sip of tea all too calmly. Little did he know Grian was shaking at talking about his childhood. It wasn’t something he did often.
“Like I said, it worked. I thought I was Taurtis despite me having wings and him not. He was a beta, I was an omega. And Sam knew that. I did Taurtis’s schoolling, I robbed banks with Sam and the gang, heck I once pretended to be a police officer. Sam’s girlfriend at the time had been the daughter of a Yakusza leader. She killed herself and Taurtis came back from the hospital. I was back to being Grian. But I couldn’t get back to England. Sam had told my grandparents that I was going to continue my schooling there and because of that I had to finish the year. I honestly was ok with that believe it or not.
So while I finished the year, Sam started to try and date me. It didn’t really work. We were both stupid and young. I didn’t really know if I just really liked him or loved him. We ended up going the whole nine yards. One of the times we did the deed, I ended up pregnant.”
Cubs jaw, if it hadn’t already, dropped. He had no idea a fellow hermit went through all this. And here Grian was telling him about it. Standing here. Barely flinching at the words he spoke. Barely moving.
“Sam found out,” Grian continued, his voice beginning to shake. “When I was four months along. He freaked out. He didn’t want kids, I was fine with having kids. Heck I was looking forward to it. Sam kept pressuring me. Saying that we should abort. I didn’t want to but I thought I loved Sam. So I ended up getting a abortion. It messed with me bad. Bad enough I did some things I ended up regretting.
But then I went home. I didn’t say a word about it when my grandparents asked. It took me two months to finally tell them some of it. They put me into therapy afterwards.
I can’t handle Doritos or toritos. I can’t stand having things over my ears. And least of all could I stand thinking about that little girl. And I do. Every year, the day when I killed her.”
Cub stood and walked over to Grian, who began crying sometime during the later part of the story, and hugged him. The older’s tears mix with the younger’s. They sat there for quite a bit softly crying in mourning for a little girl and a childhood. Neither bothered to check their communicators as night rose. Cub to focussed on comforting his friend, and Grian too focused on trying not to break down on old faded memories.

Chapter Text
When Grian opened his eyes next he was greeted with the friendly cuddling he and Cub were engaged in on the couch. The sun was shining directly into his eyes as he re adjusted himself, accidentally causing Cub to wake up.
They both got up silently and sat there watching the sun rise. Cub soon cleared his throat and said, “If anyone does that to you again or anything like that. Come get me and I will beat the living crap out of them.”
“I appreciate that,” Grian smiles as he leans against his friend's shoulder. “Thanks for listening.”
“Thanks for sharing.”
They both sat there for a while longer before getting up and cleaning up. Cub insisted on feeding Grian and he only agreed if there was jam. Strawberry preferably.
As they ate their breakfast, they had a conversation safely avoiding all mention of the discussion last night and Grian’s predicament. Grian helped Cub clean up much to his dismay and Cub walked Grian back to Grumbot. When they arrived they arrived to see a crowd below him. They both looked at each other before running over Grian with more urgency then Cub.
Before Grian was able to say or ask anything, Sausage had yelled, “How about we wait for Grian hm? El roboto is his hijo! No action should be taken.”
“Sausage it wants to destroy the server!” Oli nearly shouted in response.
“Did it say that directly?” someone asked.
“Grian wouldn’t create a killer robot!” another said
“Can we just chill and ignore it for now? Geez.”
“What is going on?” Grian yelled as he approached the crowd, causing Cub to lean away from him. Multiple people began to speak at once before Grian yelled yet again, “One at a goshdarn time!”
Xisuma sighed and said, “Grumbot woke up sometime yesterday evening. Oli and Kathrine wanted to ask him a few questions. All that came out was, want to destroy this server.”
“What?” Grian said in disbelief. His boy wouldn’t do that. He flapped his wings, hearing what was probably Jimmy or Pearl following, and reached Grumbots arms.
“Hello?” Grian yelled up.
A paper spat out of the ground below him, “Where is he Bird Father?”
Grian skimmed the words before asking, “Who?”
“Mustache Father.” was the reply.
“He’s on a trip!”
“This world cannot be allowed to exist without Mustache Father.” was written, causing Grian’s stomach to drop.
“We can go see him! We don’t need to do anything but open the rift!”
“Is he through the rift?” asked the bot.
“What have you got?” Jimmy asked, nearly starling the maker of the manic bot.
“He wants Mumbo,” Grian replied. “He will be soon.”
“So he's resulting to world destruction?” Jimmy asked as the next paper came through.
“He wouldn’t.” Grian said determidly reading the paper.
“Why not now?” the paper read.
“Because he’s on a trip!” Grian yelled out.
“In our favorite rocket ship,” mumbled Bdubs. He had apparently flown up here sometime earlier.
Grian sighed and waited a moment. There was no reply. Another sigh came from Grian as he shouted out, “We just need to get back through the rift then we can see him!”
The three of them waited a few more before another paper came out with two letters. “OK.”
The three of them flew back down to the Emperors and Hermits below to relay the conversation, Grian clutching the papers with fervency.
“So?” FWip asked impatiently.
“He wants Mumbo,” Grian reported. “I think I convinced him away from anything dangerous and to open the rift.”
“You think?” FWip repeated, dancing from foot to foot.
“If Grian thinks it's fine, it's fine,” Xisuma interrupted. “Let's all go through our daily routines for now alright?”
“I’ll still be checking on him daily,” Grian added to help ease FWip’s anxieties.
“Besides he’s chill in Hermitcraft,” Gem added hesitantly.
“Yes but he believes he's from an entirely different uni-university,” Scar added.
“He ain't wrong,” Grian said, pointing at Scar. Cub looked at his fellow omega, shocked by how calm he was. “And it’s universe Scar.”
Scar pouted while Cub nudged Grian. The younger shook his head at the older, understanding the silent question. He had not told Scar yet.
“Good,” Cub muttered, only Scar and Xisuma hearing him. Both alphas shot the omega with an odd look.
“What’s-”
“Don’t worry about it idiot,” Cub interrupted Scar before turning to face his admin. “Actually you and I need to have a conversation.”
Keralis watched while Cub pulled away his confused mate. Grian leaned towards his pack omega watching as Scar was adamantly questioning how he was an idiot to everyone around him.
“So have you told,” Keralis began quietly.
“Nope.” Grian popped the p. “I’ve been procrastinating.”
“You need to.”
“I know.”
“Need to what?” asked Oli, popping up behind the two, earning two twin shrieks.

OKI DOKIE ARTICHOKIES I have a couple INTENSE questions for you. Now these are questions I need to hear from the readers cause my beta (hi sal! Ma child i know you read these!) is my decision maker and can’t answer for a group. (Sorry sal) *mumbles incoherently*.
ANYWAYS i thought I was gonna take this fic one way but I decided I didn’t like it. I have a chapter still written out for it though so would you want it as a special when it comes time? Based on my current upload schedule if you did you would get it on *looks at calender and google docs* you would get it on Sunday and the changed direction on Monday.
Second question: I have a one shot or another chapter book in the works depending on how I format it. Which format do you want? One shot would have the POV segregated with this ______ while chapter is like how it is now. Also yes this is WTE focused but this time with all the kids! *tries to share more through a covered hand*
Also also relating to the same fic you if you want me to start posting it the two fics would go into a every other day type of posting schedule. *blinks* *blinks again*
AND THATS ALL FROM ME YEET *dives into the botem hole*

Chapter Text
”Do you think you can set up a call with Mumbo for me?” Cub asked, getting straight to the point.
“Um yea,” Xisuma stuttered. “I think so? The server’s different here so maybe you can call him regardless.”
Cub pulled out his communicator and insintaly did that. Luckily the call went through. Xisuma took this chance to back away from the slightly manic omega.
“Is everything ok?” he asked.
”I just need to talk to a fellow best friend about how our best friends are stupid,” Cub replied as he impatiently waited for Mumbo to pick up.
”I see. Well good luck with that,” Xisuma said, turning to walk back to his mate.
“Cub?” Mumbo’s voice came over the phone, making Cub’s heart jump a couple beats. “Why are you calling me? I-I mean not that I mind but it’s usually Grian or X calling. Is everything ok?”
”Everything is fine,” Cub hurriedly said. “Just Grian and Scar.”
”Is this another relationship thing?” Mumbo asked, sighing. “I’ve been trying to get Grian to confess but the one time he actually goes with it he goes nope! Is it ok if we're friends?”
”I’ve been trying to do the same,” Cub moaned in exasperation. “They just won’t budge. And now with this going on. And that's going on.”
”Wha’s been going on?” Mumbo asked.
“Just a sudden revelation with Grian, don’t ask me I’m sworn to secrecy I’ll try and convince him to tell you, another one with your simp of a robot son-”
“My what?” Mumbo asked.
”And the fact we’re on a different server and can’t leave without said simp of a robot son. Anyways, what's up with you?” Cub finished dryly studying his nails.
”My what? Heh? Grian’s done what? Your where?” Mumbo mumbled uncomprehendingly of the situation. ”Ok, start from the top.”
”No. I called you to plan how we're gonna get our dumb best friends together and that’s what we're gonna do, hun.” Cub said, nearly demanding it.
”Um, ok uh,” Mumbo replied, clearly stunned.
The two sat in silence for awhile waiting for the other to speak up. Occasionally Mumbo would cough and Cub would check his watch nervously.
Finally Mumbo spoke up, chuckling, “We have no idea what to do do we?”
Cub groaned in agreement and resisted the urge to bang his head into a tree. “I’ve talked to Scar about it a couple times and by the sound of it you have as well with Grian.”
”Yea,” Mumbo said thoughtfully. “Did Xisuma need to set up this call?”
”No,” Cub sighed. “We’re on a different server remember? Because of that cross server communications are a bit diffrent.”
”Ok.” Mumbo hummed. “What if we had a quick conversation with our respective idiots then reconvened?”
Cub’s brain lit up. “That is actually smart get all the details straight-”
”Not that either of us are,” Mumbo agreed. “Alright I’m going to call Grian you wrestle with Scar.”
”Did you have to phrase it that way?” Cub muttered as Mumbo hung up. “Who knew a mustache man was so intent on love stories?”
”I do read romance books, you know,” Mumbo replied before actually hanging up. Unfortunately this left a shocked Cub who stared at the com in bewilderment.
“He reads what?”

Chapter Text
“What’s going on Cub?” Scar asked his friend. The omega didn’t say a word, instead leading the alpha further towards his base.
“The friend conversation with Grian?” Cub said blandly as he pushed Scar through his front door. “The one where you both agreed you want to stay friends. Why didn’t you tell him?”
“Grian wanted it!”
“Yes but you didn’t tell him!”
The two reached an impasse. Scar knew Cub was right and Cub knew it too. Cub knew that Scar was focused on putting Grian first even if Scar didn’t know it.
“You need to tell him soon,” Cub insisted. “The next time you two talk the words I, Love, and You better come out of your mouth.”
“Why are you so insistent on this now?” Scar groaned, putting his head in his hands.
“Things have changed,” Cub said, staring at the alpha intensely.
“What do you mean things have changed?” Scar’s head shot up, worry filling his eyes. “Is G ok? What happened?”
“That’s not for me to say. You two need to have a very important conversation and you better speak up first.”
Scar sighed and looked down at his wringing hands. “He just wants to be friends,” He admitted weakly. “And I’m going to respect that.”
Cub grounded, stepped back a few, and ran his fingers through his head in frustration. He debated on whether or not to spill the beans on the bets the server had going on. The others would be fine with it right? Yea probably not. But it wasfor the greater good.
“Did you know that we have two separate bets going on around the server?” Cub asked impulsively.
“No,” Scar replied, eyes wide.
“One was about you and Grian. It was about who was going to get the balls to confess to the other.”
“Ok and? Grian doesn’t feel that way,” Scar insisted, beginning to pace back and forth in Cub’s base.
“Mumbo placed a bet on Grian kissing you and you both making out last season,” Cub stated. “Gem thought the two of you were together until Impulse had to tell Pearl otherwise who then told Gem!”
“Stop joking Cub.”
Cub just groaned into his hands and reached for his communicator, quickly dialing up Tango.
“What’s up Cub?” Tango answered as he clearly shuffled his com around.
“Did we or did we not have bets surrounding when Grian and Scar would get the balls to confess to each other?” Cub asked instantly, maintaining eye contact with Scar, as said alpha’s jaw dropped.
“Um yea?” Tango answered. “I bet on it happening a month after Double Life after we revamped it.”
“Thank you.” Cub stated and hung up leaving behind a confused Tango. “See?” he spoke to Scar.
Cub watched as Scar opened and closed his mouth like a goldfish and tilted his head trying to process what he had been told. At least five times he tried to reply before rethinking it. Cub was close to laughing at his friend when Scar finally spoke.
“You really think he feels the same?”
“I would bet my life on it.”

Chapter Text
Grian was working on Grumbot, well working was a loose term, trying to figure out what was up with him and destruction. It was like that old show where the dad was trying the baby to say ‘dada’ and all the baby would say was, ‘death’, ‘domination’, and ‘destruction, domination’. After all, in his mind, it was easier to work on a robot kid than the one growing in his belly. He still couldn’t believe it.
Grian was shocked out of his stupor by his communicator ringing. He took it out and saw it was Mumbo. The poor omega almost fell off his robot son right then and there. Grian answered with a quick, “Hello Mumble Jumble,” and quickly flew to his nest.
”Hey G!” his best friend replied. “I just got off the phone with a certain fan.”
“You mean your crush?” Grian snickered. He was secretly almost positive that Mumbo and Cub had small schoolboy crushes on each other.
”Yes- I mean no!” Mumbo cried, causing another snicker to arise out of Grian as he rearranged a couple blankets. “Anyways what’s going on? Cub said something was up with you and our, and I quote, ‘Simp of a robot son’ like seriously what in the heavens is that about mate?”
”Well,” Grian started as he pulled out the jam he kept in his nest. “I’m pregnant and for some reason the Grumbot I built on Empires wants to destroy the server cause you're not here.”
”And here I thought you were clingy,” Mumbo mumbled, the first part still not clicking his brain.
”Mhm.”
”…”
”…”
”Hold up your what?”
Grian burst out laughing as his best friend finally caught on to what had happened with him. The omega would be the first to admit he wasn’t great with his emotions or confessing stuff, but he found it easiest with his brother.
“No, don't you laugh at me mister, when did you get pregnant?” Mumbo questioned playfully harsh. “Last time I was informed you had sex was Double Life?”
“Yup. It’s Scar’s.”
”That is kinda to be expected,” Mumbo replied, some rustling coming from his end.
Grian’s eyes narrowed, not that Mumbo could see, and accused him, “You better not be packing up.”
”Well-“
”Mumbo, we're not even on the same server!” Grian nearly shouts into the phone. “You stay right where you are until I come get you!”
”What do you mean?”
”Hey Grian?” Scar called from somewhere down below Grumbot. “Can I talk to you?”
”One sec!,” Grian called, sticking his head out of the fort to see Scar send up a slightly shaky thumbs up. “You don’t need to come back for this Mumbo.”
“But your pregnant with my niece or nephew!” Mumbo hissed into the phone. “And if I hear right with Cub you and Scar are still being idiots so you would also need support!”
”I didn’t know I was pregnant not even a week ago! I found out due to someone who I only knew of vaguely before this rift thing!” Grian exclaimed quietly, nearly dropping his communicator..
“Excuse me what?” Mumbo questioned as he stared at his own com in shook.
“Yup,” Grian replied, shaking his head. “Now excuse me, I have to go talk with Scar.”
“Don’t do anything I wouldn’t do?” Mumbo said still shocked from the bombshells dropped on him that day.
Notes:
”Don’t move a muscle,” Grian hissed into the phone before hanging up, nervously rushing out of the makeshift fort of a nest.
Unbeknownst to Grian, when he had hung up, Mumbo stared at the phone and was frozen.”Well,” Mumbo said, staring down at his communicator. “He’s got the parents down already.”
This was a possible ending to their chapter because the fic had a possiblility of Grian going on vacation with Mumbo and completely forgetting about you know who and his you know what.
Chapter Text
Scar shuffled from foot to foot as he thought about his conversation with Cub. Occasionally he would look up to where his the omega above was in his nest. His best friend was rather insistent on telling Grian what he truly thought, Cub was determined that they felt the same way about each other. The alpha didn’t like the idea of telling Grian much, mainly because he was scared of the reaction Grian might have, and besides Scar didn’t want to influence Grian more than he could have already.
Scar heard the wind whistle in a particular way that he could almost always recognize as wings cutting through the wind. He had lived around Grian enough for it to become a comforting sound. The alpha looked up to see Grian gliding down like a vulture, just a much more majestic and beautiful one.
“Sorry,” the omega landed near Scar without making a sound. The grass blades around his feet fluttered softly, but that was the only acknowledgment the earth gave the graceful man. “Mumbo had called.”
”How-how’s he doing?” Scar asked nervously. He didn’t know why he was nervous, Scar told Grian that he loved him all the time! Well that was before the mating fiasco, and only platonically.
Grian raised an eyebrow and nodded slowly, “He’s doing fine. Called Cub before me, which will hopefully shed some light into their relationship.”
”You mean how obsessed they are with each other?”
”More like crushing, ya.” Grian confirmed the matter. Scar noticed he was puffing and smoothing down his wings, something he only did when he was nervous or excited. So either Mumbo was coming home early, or something bad happened on his trip. “Wanna walk around?”
“Did not know that,” Scar mumbled, not knowing what else to say. Grian’s words merging on his mind subconsciously causing him to slightly walk forward, Grian following, “Uh.”
”So we need to talk about something,” Grian stated as he shuffled his wings as his feet led them towards an old path through the nearby woods.
”Yea!” Scar said gulping. “Um, I need to tell you something that Cub thinks I should have told you a long time ago.”
”Pff,” Grian sputtered. “Dude, he’s been doing that with both of us, just-just,” he took a deep breath. “A bit more recently for me.”
”What do you mean?” Scar asked, tilting his head slightly, nearly knocking his head into a nearby branch. He pushed it out the way, glaring at it softly, causing a small laugh to emerge from Grian.
”Well,” the omega started, using a wing to shield both he and Scar from a magpie swinging low. “I thought those were only modded,” Grian muttered. “Anyways!” He said much louder yet still with a twinge of nerves. “Remember Double Life?”
”I still retall- requall-remember it ya,” Scar agreed as he moved a couple of leaves from his and Grian’s face, it recalled the end of the forest and before them was a lush cliff.
The two walked to it before sitting at the edge, both too nervous about what they had to say. The view was beautiful. It was noonday, and the sea was a glistening sapphire. Scar found himself comparing it to one of the sparkles in Grian’s eyes. The one he would get when he was mourning something great, like the end of the season or saying farewell to an old base. It would grow darker when it came to mourn something permanent. He remembered that look when TFC died and could only hope that that look never crossed his eyes again.
“-ar?” Fingers snapped into Scar’s face as Grian spoke. “You there?”
Scar, subtly, shook his head to clear his thoughts and focus on Grian. “Yea I’m here. Sorry, were you saying something?”
”Only you,” Grian shook his head and leaned back smiling softly to himself. “Only you.”
”Huh?”
”Only you would zone out when a bombshell is about to be dropped.”
”What’s the bombshell?”
”I’m pregnant, Scar.”
Notes:
Ok so originally Scar was supposed to confess after grian brought up double life. After scar said ya i remember it and the cliff was described a bit he was supposed to say ‘oh btw i love you and im a chicken for not telling you sooner’
Either Grian was gonna kiss hi-
I just got an idea for the next next chapter. NM ENJOY GRIAN’S POV!
(Also im really sorry about my spelling and grammar heh)
Chapter Text
Grian glided down from the top of Grumbot and landed gently next to Scar, who was looking up with a hand over his eyes. A soft smile was on his face, the one he would give Jellie when she was doing something silly. His hair rustled a little bit in the wind Grian’s wings left behind.
“Sorry,” said Grian, watching as Scar leaned back onto his heels then back onto his toes. “Mumbo had called.”
”How-how’s he doing?” Scar asked, stuttering in that way of his. Grian nearly chuckled at it, it was always cute when he stuttered over his words. It usually meant he was excited about something.
“He’s doing fine,” Grian waved it off. “Called Cub before me, which will hopefully shed some light into their relationship.”
”You mean how obsessed they are with each other?” Scar asked, lightly snickering coating his words. He was picking at his scars on his wrists, ones he never told the story about unlike the one over his nose. Grian almost wanted to reach over and stop him from picking at them. He was pretty sure that was the only reason why the tiny silver scars were so prominent.
”More like crushing, ya,” Grian nodded along. He couldn’t lie, it was the truth. “Wanna walk around?”
“Didn’t know that,” Scar mumbled, starting to walk forward causing Grian to skip forward to follow. “Uh.”
”So we need to talk about something,” Grian said, shuffling his wings anxiously, as he led his feet to an old path through the nearby woods.
”Yea!” Scar said far too loudly, “uh, I need to tell you something, that Cub thinks I should have told you a long time ago.”
Grian chuckled a tad before replying, “Dude he’s been doing that with both of us,” he took a deep breath, maybe two he couldn’t tell. “Just-just a bit more recently for me.”
”What do you mean by that?” Scar asked, moving his head in the way of a nearby branch. He moved it out of the way before glaring playfully at the branch. Grian laughed softly as he watched the man whack the branch in retaliation. He loved this playful man.
“Well,” Grian started still holding back slight laughter. Suddenly, however, he had to raise his wing to protect Scar and him from a magpie swinging low. He shook his head before continuing, “Anyways! Remember Double Life?”
“I still retall-requall- remember it,” Scar nodded along, ignoring his stumble of words. He moved a couple of leaves from in front of their faces revealing a lush cave, not unlike the one that Monopoly Mountain provided.
The mountain was carefully sculpted and looked too neat to be natural, yet too wild to be man made. It reminded him of Scar in a way. A man too wild for the world and his own body yet still careful enough when he knew it matters.
Grian took a deep breath before beginning, “So it turns out, when we mated, heh, we obviously didn’t use protection. But uh. It did end in something crazy. I’m uh. I'm pregnant, Scar.”
Grian sat in silence for a moment before turning to face the alpha next to him. Scar was staring off into the far distance, which for some reason was in his direction and not in the direction of the sea before them.
“Scar?” He said. “Scar?” He began to click his fingers in front of Scar’s face. “You there?”
Scar shook his head rather violently, nearly causing Grian to burst out laughing. “Yea, I’m here.” He shook his head again. “Sorry, were you saying something?”
”Only you,” Grian laughed slightly. “Only you.”
”Huh?”
”Only you would zone out when a bombshell is about to be dropped.”
”What’s the bombshell?”
”I’m pregnant, Scar.”
Notes:

Chapter Text
Keralis groaned as he watched Grian and Scar chat while crossing the bridge to where Grumbot was. “It’s been three week Shiswhammy! Why hasn’t either of them spilled the beans?”
”You know the two of them,” Xisuma said, coming to put an arm around his mate. “They both procrastinate. Badly.”
”Yes but this isn’t a matter of storage systems or back of bases!” Keralis threw his arms in the air. “This is a matter of love and children!”
”Give them time,” Xisuma chuckled, the action rumbling his chest causing Keralis to lean into his mate.
“Still,” Keralis grumbled, folding his arms, Xisuma pulling the other into a hug.

“They have to have told each other now right?” Sausage muttered as he watched the pair in question chat with Jimmy and Tango.
”I mean they should have,” Cub agreed next to him, arms crossed.
”You’ve been able to get through the rift and back into Hermitcraft and they still haven’t told each other?” Mumbo said as he shuffled from foot to foot. It had been a couple of days since the Hermits and Empires Co. had arrived from Empires, and Mumbo had joined not even a day after. Needless to say, multiple hermits had questioned his early return with Cub nodding, and Grian giving him a eye roll before a hug.
”They’ve had multiple times to be alone,” Sausage told him as he shuffled a sleepy Hermes in his arms. “Like a couple hours ago when I went to get Hermes from Joel!”
”I’ve purposefully set them up with Mumbo,” Cub added, Mumbo nodding alongside him.
“I may want to death loop a man-“
”Hey! That’s my best friend you're talking about!”
”Who’s in love with mine!” Mumbo retorted back to Cub’s interruption. “But I won’t deny a man’s right to know when he’s produced a kid.”
”Seriously though,” Sausage mumbled. “Just look at them! It’s disgusting.”
_____-_____-_____-_____-_____-_____-_____-_____-_____-_____-_____-_____
”That’s it,” Cub grumbled as he grabbed onto Mumbo’s wrist and started half dragging half pulling him to the small water elevator to Grian’s nether portal. No one knew why it was there or how it got there. “I’ve messaged Sausage, Keralis and Xisuma.”
”Wh-why?” Mumbo asked a small gasp escaping him as he nearly tripped over his own two feet. “I mean I can understand Sausage but why Keralis and Xisuma?”
”Hi guys?” Grian said as they walked along his bridge passing him quickly. “What’s-“
”Don’t worry about it!”
“I’m being kidnapped!”
”Ok?” Grian commented watching the two men finish the truck to the water elevator. Unbeknownst to the two best friends of a certain couple, he had pulled out his communicator to message Scar.”
_____-_____-_____-_____-_____-_____-_____-_____-_____-_____-_____-_____
“Shiswahmmy!” Keralis called, looking around for his mate only to see a stray Scar. “Scar!”
Scar looked up from where he was typing on his communicator. “Hi Keralis!”
”What are you doing here sweet face?” the omega asked.
”Can’t a man just explode no escape no never mind,” Scar started before getting stuck on one of his words. “Can’t I just look at my friends' bases?”
”Yes,” Keralis said, squinting his eyes at the man. “But you’ve got your ‘I’m sus’ voice on.”
“Now how would I have that voice?” Scar questioned.
”I don’t know,” Keralis continued drawing on the words.
“Well I have to go continue ScarLand,” Scar said hurriedly. “Good seeing you Papa K!”
Keralis waved as the man flew off, nearly jumping when his mate appeared suddenly behind him.
“What’s up?” the alpha asked as he held up his gloved hands.
“Cub’s calling a Scarian meeting,” Keralis stated, grabbing onto his mate's hands.
”A what now?” Xisuma asked, confused.
_____-_____-_____-_____-_____-_____-_____-_____-_____-_____-_____-_____
“Welcome to today’s meeting,” Cub said stoically as he stood at the head of the table with a projector that came out of nowhere, displaying a PowerPoint presentation behind him. ”We as scarian truthers must form a plan.”
”I still don’t-“
”Shush!” The three omegas in the room shushed him at once, Mumbo shrugging when the only alpha caught his eye.
”Are we going to get Scar to confess first or Grian to spill first?” Sausage asked. “Because based on my studies-“
”Studies?” Mumbo mouthed as he quirked his head to the side, Xisuma giving in and putting his head in his hands.
”Either way, Scar will confess,” Sausage finished.
”I feel like we should try for Scar first,” Keralis put his hat in the ring. “That way Grian will know that it isn’t because of a feeling of obligation or something like that.”
”Smart,” Cub nodded. “I was thinking along the same line, but not because of Grian. Scar needs to stop being an idiot.”
And with that Cub clicked to the next slide, which was titled ‘How to get a stubborn alpha to confess’. This title made Xisuma lean over to Mumbo and whisper, “I feel like we shouldn’t be here right now.”
”If not for the fact Cub dragged me here by the wrist I would agree with you,” Mumbo muttered underneath his mustache.
Sausage raised his hand saying, “What we need is to get Grian to acknowledge his own feelings first though. If we don’t then this could end up real bad.”
”Isn’t there a HOG meeting tomorrow?” Xisuma added. “If so we could try the alpha party Joel suggested and get Scar to acknowledge it too?”
“And this is why you're the admin Shiswahmy,” Keralis said, hugging his mate. “That is a brilliant idea.”

Chapter Text
“Ok so you’re saying-“
”Ya believe it?”
”No!”
”Why did I agree to come again?” Grian sighed, sinking back into the pillows behind him, swirling his wine glass filled with strawberry lemonade.
“Because we need someone sane,” Cub muttered leaning next to him, Sausage making a small sound of agreement.
They were all settled in another fort Grian had constructed inside one of his rocks. Many of the HermitCraft omegas questioned why he did another fort instead of a nest, and Grian apparently liked it better. Luckily no wool was stolen and the fort was very insulated. All across the floor was a variation of pillows, more than once an omega said ‘so that's where that went’ when spotting a pillow of theirs. Blankets made the walls, most crocheted but a few mesially knitted, with a pole in the center keeping it all up. To the bewilderment of many, multiple red sweaters, ties, and hats had made their way into the fort. Keralis once thought he saw a couple doctor coats and flannels too.
Luckily within these warm walls, the HOG + E party had been going on strong. For some obscure reason a couple of the omegas, namely Jimmy, Bdubs, Gem, and Zed, had initiated a challenge to see who had done the craziest thing. Jimmy wanted to count the time he and Tango had brought the Ravager around double life, while Zed brought up the pancake feast back when Grian and Scar were first breaking the bond. Gem and Bdubs each brought up their specialties of fighting and sleeping. Somehow the sleeping was considered impressive. Meanwhile Keralis and Kathrine were playing an odd rendition of checkers with Oli supervising. There were a couple chess and sorry pieces thrown in whenever one of the others said a specific word. Sausage was shocked that Oli was still following along. The omega didn’t particularly care for board games. Stress had gone off to get some more snacks while the last three simply decided to watch the chaos four of the others were causing.
Suddenly Oli smacked the checkers board in front of him, earning much complaint from Kathrine and Keralis looking like he was about to scold someone, and said, “Dude we should do pregnancy roulette!”
”Excuse me?” Cub shot up startled. When he had asked Oli to bring up pregnancy he did not think it would be this.
“Yea why not?” Grian agreed, a flash of light illuminating from his inventory. “I bought pregnancy tests in case another instance like last time popped up. Puts a little spice into it.”
Zed and Gem, who had stopped the game, looked at each other and shrugged. Jimmy looked nervous while Bdubs said boisterously, “Let’s do it!”
”Do what?” Stress asked as she entered the makeshift fort.
“Pregnancy Rolleute!” Gem cheered.
Sausage had been looking nervously around but was startled when Grian subtly showed him something. Fake pregnancy tests. He calmed down some and Cub did the same. Turns out Grian just wanted to play a prank on everyone.
“What’s pregnancy rolleute?” Kathrine asked playfully. “Well glad you asked!”
”No one asked!” Jimmy yelled back.
”Well-”
The omegas all quickly grabbed their own test and ran to go take it, giggling all the way while Jimmy and Kathrine engaged in a small wrestle. They each had come in and left quickly depositing their tests into a cup Keralis held. He and Grian held a small long look when Grian came to give his test to the older omega. Once again Grian slightly flashed the packaging, much to Keralis relief that he knew what he was doing. Keralis looked to Sausage and Cub and they each shrugged. Slyly, though Grian still saw, they met in a corner while everyone was waiting out the timer.
“So is anyone else concerned?” Sausage asked, wringing his hands together. “Is this a coping mechanism?”
”I would have thought he’d have told Scar-“ Cub started before cutting himself off.
”It most likely wouldn’t be a coping mechanism,” Keralis muttered underneath his breath. “Brian would just ignore it, not make a game out of it.”
”Tegg?” Cub raised an eyebrow. “And what if he has told Scar?”
”One, what’s Tegg?” Sausage asked. “Two wouldn’t you or Mumbo know by now?”
”Tegg was a tag like game that Brian set up,” Keralis answered, Cub shrugging in answer to Sausage’s other question. “During a couple of his heats, he treated it like an actual egg child.”
Sausage blinked and opened his mouth to respond only to remain dumbfounded, the timer taking the opportunity to ring. The three instantly looked to it like it was the bell of death.
”Well here we go?” Sausage said softly. “I hope Grian knows what he’s doing.”
Gem had grabbed the cup holding all the pregnancy tests and sat down in the makeshift circle everyone had sat in. She grabbed a pregnancy test and passed the cup to Kathrine who was next to her. Kathrine then grabbed one before passing it to Jimmy. After Jimmy came Grian and Bdubs. Keralis, Cub and Sausage each took theirs gingerly while Zed and Oli who came after took theirs excitedly. Stress was the last to pick and quickly counted down and everyone looked at their tests.
“Negative!” Sang Jimmy. “Nine could still be pregnant!”
Gem reached over and smacked his head as Kathrine reported, “Someone else isn’t pregnant!”
“Dude, I thought you said someone was pregnant,” Oli joked. “Zed you should go next!”
”Well mine's negative,” Zed giggled. “But it could very well be false!”
”Yea right,” Gem snorted. “Like pregnancy tests lie.”
”Well mine’s negative too,” Sausage jumped in. “Bdubs might be pregnant though.”
“Nope!” Bdubs shouted. “Not pregnant.”
”Well whoever’s test I have isn’t pregnant either,” Oli sang, doing some small dabs.”
”Well mine's negative,” Grian said, staring at his blankly.
“Luckily mine is too,” Gem sighed. “I swear if anyone ends up pregnant I'm going to crash out.”
”You're not going to have to sweet face,” Keralis chuckled. “I'm negative too.”
”Well I’m not sure about mine?” Stress said as she tilted her head. “The paper’s still on?”
“What?” Gem said, grabbing it. “Wait a second,” she squinted at the paper. “Are these fake?”
”I sure hope they aren’t,” Oli muttered. “That would just ruin the fun.”
”Well it’s negative either way?” Stress added shrugging.
“Wait, then they're definitely fake,” Grian said. “At least one should be positive.”
”Why cause you rigged them?” Bdubs said playfully, glaring at the other omega while the three in the know looked at the same omega curiously.
“No cause I’m pregnant,” Grian said, then as an afterthought. “And dating Scar now.”
_____-_____-_____-_____-_____-_____-_____-_____-_____-_____-_____-_____”So we’re finally taking my alpha party to heart eh?” Joel chuckled as he threw a bag onto the floor by the door. “Sorry the party arrived late! Had to take Hermes to Lizzie’s.”
“Nah we get it,” Ren waved it off leaning against his mate playing a game on his com. Doc was talking with Etho and Impulse about some of the logistics of redstone with FWhip and Xisuma obviously eavesdropping on it while playing a game of chess. “Cleo still isn’t here and it's the same with Pearl.”
Joel looked around the room and saw that he was right. While the nerds were talking, Scar was playing twister with Joey and Shubble, Tango on the wheel. It felt oddly calm. Too calm. Joel squinted his eyes.
“I thought it’d be more chaotic,” he commented.
“Don’t jinx it,” Xisuma groaned, setting his head in his hands.
”He’s already done it,” FWhip said, sounding resigned. “I told you someone was gonna do it.”
“This better not be like the aftermath of a HOG night,” Xisuma muttered from his position on the board, FWhip giving in on finishing the game.
“What’s the aftermath of a HOG night?” Shubble asked as she came over, giving up the fight against Joey and Scar.
One of the alphas was in a downward dog, but with his hands behind his feet. Somehow Scar had enough balance for that position while Joey who was looking like a cat, was having trouble balancing. His right hand was reaching across the board while his foot was nearly next to his left hand which was in the middle. Joey’s left foot was on its tiptoes reaching to the other end of the board and Tango was obviously holding back laughter from the two positions.
Xisuma visibly shuddered while Doc, Impulse, and Etho each gained haunted eyes. Ren was the only one unphased.
“One time Keralis ended up stuck at the top of Grian’s cake blender thing in season six,” the alpha stated, cursing lightly at his game. “Another time Bdubs and Stress ended up streaking through the shopping district. It took Etho and False at least five hours to corral them back into clothes.”
”Don’t forget about the time Cub and Bdubs decided to play tennis with chicken eggs, snowballs and fire charges,” Impulse added. “The fire charges might have worked but it didn’t help the fact that it left-”
”We do not need to finish that story!” Etho squeaked out.
“What are we talking about?” Joey asked as he came over with Tango and Scar, twister long since being over due to the test not in flexibility but in balance.
“The aftermath of HOG nights,” Joel stated, a smirk on his face. “They are-“
“Traumatizing,” Tango interrupted. “Remember that time in eight they decided to make fondue?”
”Yea it was made out of soap,” Scar wheezed. “That’s my favorite.”
”It’s because you didn’t have to eat it!” Impulse, Xisuma, and Tango all shouted at him.
”I still have their reactions saved on my com,” Doc stage whispered to Joel and Shubble.
”You better send them to me,” Ren said, glaring up at his mate. “I need some more blackmail.”
“Didn’t Grian and Bdubs try to organize one in Double Life?” Tango asked.
”Yea but it was only them and Jimmy plus I think someone had just turned red so it fell through,” Impulse said.
”Grian said it was because ‘Timmy isn’t ready for the chaos that will come’” Scar said.
”Is it bad that they're having a HOG night right now?” Shubble said, sounding slightly scared.
“I think your empires will tone down the hermits a bit,” Xisuma shrugged.
“Plus Grian can’t get drunk so half of our worries are squashed,” Scar added. “He also said something about how the most chaos-“
”Oh dear,” Etho muttered, putting his hand close to his chest.
“Felt it too,” Xisuma groaned through his helmet.
”What?” Ren sat up. “Those groans aren’t good groans, their ‘I’m exasperated with my mate groans.’”
”Is that bad?” Joey asked.
“They probably just finished pregnancy roulette,” Scar muttered to Tango as he watched the chaos.
”Excuse me?” Tango turned to look at his friend.
“For once I feel like we’re the oblivious ones here, not Scar,” Doc said, eyes narrowing at the alpha.
“I just remembered!” Scar said quickly standing up. “I forgot to feed Jellie!”
The remaining alphas watched as the man ran out the door. They sat in silence before Joel said, “So can we count the amount of times he knew more than we did?”
”Well he said-“ Tango was interrupted by Etho’s com going off.
“Hold up,” Etho muttered as he fished it out of his communicator. “It’s Bdubs?”
”Answer it on speaker!” Joey shrieked, nearly jumping across the room to answer it.
”Geez fine,” Etho muttered, answering.
”Scar better be at that meeting of yours he has answers we need!” Bdubs’s voice came yelling out of the device.
“It’s not on speaker,” Etho mouthed.
”Since when were he and Grian dating?” Oli’s voice came yelling out of the background.
“Excuse me?” Cleo said as she entered, Pearl by her side. The rest of the alphas were staring shocked at the phone. “I feel like we needed to come earlier.”
“I feel like we need to address the pregnancy in the room!” Gem shouted.
”After!” Oli and Bdubs shouted over the com.
Etho clicked the hang up button before saying. “That’s a HOG night for you.”
The alphas sat in silence for a little while longer, Etho’s com and soon Xisuma’s ringing every now and then the alphas hanging up to process.
”Wait, who's pregnant?”
”Since when did Grian and Scar start dating?”
”Aren’t they mated?”
“I thought they were breaking the bond?”
”When did they talk to each other?”
