Chapter Text

It was still a bit warm in the house as David woke up. The house mostly dark from the windows began cover up to prevent the cold from coming in.

He looked around, Everyone so far was still asleep. David got up trying not to wake anyone up , he should probably take the cloths off the windows to let some light in . David headed towards the window in the living room trying not to step on anyone or hopefully wake them.

He started to remove the cloth as he removed half of it off the window he stopped and froze. 

Outside looked red.

David just stared before unlocking the door and heading Outside to see if it was really red. The second he opened the door he didn't even need to step foot outside. 

The sky was red and he noticed that he currently couldn't see the broken moon. And the area around the house was different. 

Did the area changed over night or something. 

David almost couldn't belive what happened, compared to the freezing cold or the spiders he couldn't belive this . 

Maybe this was a dream? But it felt so real.

Suddenly heheard a voice. 

" David what are doing just standing there?"

It was cate

David turn around to look at her and he just looked at her.

Cate looked at David, he could kinda see behind her, Cody and barry also looking at him.

" the sky is red" David just says and cate looks at him .

" what?" She says

David just moves out of the way and cate looks outside shocked. 

" how is this possible " she says as she looks, Cody and Barry exit the house and look.

" the sky red!" Cody shouts as he looks outside. 

Barry was just stareing confused too.

None of them knew what was going on.

It didn't seem dangerous so far.

" maybe we should take a look around " David says

Cate looks at him 

" you sure that's a good idea?" She asks

" might help us out or seach for supplies" David says

Despite some hesitate from cate and Barry, they both agreed. 

Takeing the truck which was full of gas and takeing a few things with them they headed off to wherever this new place would take them.

Chapter Text

The truck was still there a tank full of gas and the gas cannister full of gas was still there. So they didn't have to worry about gas for now. They got inside the car and drove off ,unsure how much has change the area was definitely different. 

David focus on driving, while the others look at the window trying to see if they could spot anything. 

A hour passed before David saw a gas station and stop at it to see if they could find supplies and maybe figure out where they are.

The second they stepped out of the truck , they looked around checking to see if it was safe, before heading to the gas station. 

The second they enter David was surprised to see the gas station still had supplies and wasn't pick clean.

" alright let's see what we can get here" David says

Cody saw a basket sitting next to the door and picked it up before walking towards a shelve with can food on it ,barry went with him.

David went to the shelve that had some medical supplies on it 

" this be good if someone gets injured " David thinks as he grabs what left on the shelve putting it into his backpack. 

After gathering all the medical supplies David checked the fridges they weren't working anymore but they still had a few bottle of water and some soda which is better then nothing to drink.

He packed the drinks into his bag. He looked around but found nothing else or anything interesting so he went to find the others. 

He found cate looking at a map and the basket that Cody had grabbed next to her filled with food.

" where's Cody and barry?" David asks cate.

" Cody had to use the bathroom, found the keys and gave them to Cody the restroom outside so Barry went with him ,so nothing would happen to cody." Cate says she went back to the map.

David wonder if cate found anything before he could ask they both heard screaming. 

Chapter Text

David and cate run to where the screaming was coming from. 

They saw once they got there ,barry holding a crowbow cover in blood and Cody hiding behind him. 

Nearby was a couple of corpses the color of green and another one making it's way to barry.

" what is that" David shouts as he and cate look.

" Zombies!" Cody shouted as he still hide behind Barry. 

The zombie headed towards Barry trying to bite the man but was met with a crowbar to it's head. Blood and what apperd to brain came out of the corpses head and onto the crowbar. 

Once it laid there without moving ,Barry just stood there loking at it.

" are you both alright?" David asked

Both Cody and Barry looked at David. 

" yes" barry says

" zombies there's actual zombies!" Cody shouts .

" zombies how can that be" cate says before remembering all the other things that had happened. 

" we should probably get out here before anymore show up" she says

" we should grabbed what we got and head out but we should probably check around so we don't attack " David says

They quickly made their way back to grabbed the supplie while also checking around for zombies they looked everywhere even checking around the truck before heading off.
