Chapter 1: don't take this the wrong way
Chapter Text
Seungmin always noticed that the other members all seemed so…close with each other. Closer than they all were with him. Felix always gave Minho a shoulder rub after practice. Hyunjin liked to lay on the sofa in the living room with his head in Jeongin’s lap, and Jeongin, who always seemed to hate any skinship from Seungmin, never seemed to mind. And Chan, Changbin, and Jisung always spent so much time together. Not just in the studio, but they also like to go to the gym and go out to eat together.
Their closeness and affection for each other that they didn't seem to extend to Seungmin made the young vocalist feel a little left out. Could it be that they don't like him? Maybe Seungmin poked fun at the others a little, but they have to know he's joking, right? And if it did bother them, they would tell him, wouldn't they?
In a meeting detailing the logistics of this summer's tour, the group discussed the hotel room arrangements. Each stop would have 4 rooms with the group being split into pairs. The group insisted on rotating hotel roommates for this tour and Seungmin couldn't understand why until a crushing thought crossed his mind: Are they trying to avoid having one member stuck with him for the whole tour? Does everyone hate the idea of sharing a room with him that much?
The first stop of the tour after the dates in Seoul was Singapore. The group stepped out of the airport and were immediately hit with the heavy humidity of the near equatorial island. They loaded into the van waiting for them and shut out the sound of screaming fans by quickly closing the door behind them.
Chan turned to the group from the front seat. “Okay, so here's how the rooms are gonna go: room 1 is me and Changbin, room 2 is Minho and Hyunjin, room 3 is Jisung and Seungmin, and room 4 is Yongbok and Jeongin. Everyone got it?”
The chorus of boys respond with a “got it” before going into quiet conversation. Seungmin looks to Jisung, who looks silently out the window, earbuds blocking out the world as he fought off his tiredness from the stressful travel day. A part of Seungmin can't help but think that Jisung doesn't look happy to share a room with him. He's always excited to room with Minho or Felix.
The group reaches the hotel and everyone splits into pairs. Jisung tapped the keycard in his hand against the lock, a click signaling Jisung to open the door.
The hotel room was spacious and luxurious, an upgrade from the rooms that the members stayed in during the last tour. The entryway led into a spacious living area furnished with a sofa and a massive TV. A door led into an impeccably clean bathroom with a glass-doored shower and marble countertops.
There is only one glaringly obvious problem with the room: the single king-sized bed by the floor-to-ceiling windows looking out into the city’s night sky.
“You're kidding,” Seungmin muttered, trying to mirror the disappointment he thought Jisung would feel. It was a defensive thing, pretending he didn't want to be as close to his members as he did. He figured that if he pretended to accept his place as the group outcast, maybe some day he'd actually learn to be content with it. “It's fine,” he sighs. “I’ll sleep on the couch.”
“Why?” Jisung furrows his brow, dropping his suitcase at the corner of the room. “There's more than enough room for both of us.” He jumps back on the bed, the soft, plush bedding catching him.
Seungmin pauses, trying to analyze Jisung’s body language and expression. The attempted read only led to more frustration, as Jisung seemed like he really didn't mind.
The vocalist just nodded, following in suit and dropping back on the bed.
“It's kinda like our first tour, right?” The ace hummed. “When we all had to share two beds in one room?”
Seungmin laughs at the memory. “I remember.”
“Hyunjinnie wouldn't stay still. He kept rolling on top of me.” Jisung emphasizes his statement by rolling back on top of Seungmin, earning a loud laugh from his dongsaeng.
“Ya! Get off!” Seungmin yells, pushing Jisung off.
“Ah, sorry,” the elder chuckles. “Wait, my phone’s on the other side.” He rolls back on top of Seungmin, his chest pressed against the other's as he pretends to reach for his phone.
“Hyung!” Seungmin laughs. “I can't breathe!”
“What?” Jisung furrows his brow in mock offense. “Are you calling me fat?”
“Yeah,” Seungmin grins, giggling breathlessly as he pushed at his hyung’s shoulders.
Their faces were so close to each other, close enough for Seungmin to feel Jisung’s warm breath on his face. It warmed his cheeks and he turned his face away. “Off!” Seungmin whines, pushing Jisung’s shoulders with a bit more force.
Jisung finally relents, rolling off Seungmin and groaning. “I’m so tired…”
“Then sleep.”
“Wow, I never thought of that,” Jisung hums sarcastically. “But I’m hungry too~” he whines.
“Channie has ramyeon. Go get a cup.”
“I don't wanna~” He looks at Seungmin. “Can you get it for me?” He asks, his big brown eyes sparkling and his lips in a puppy dog pout.
Seungmin huffs. “Fine,” he sits up and swings his legs over the edge of the bed. “Don't fall asleep.” He stands and heads to the door.
“Thank you, Seungminnie~” Jisung sings.
Seungmin walks shortly down the hall and knocks on Chan and Changbin’s door. Changbin answered and he leaned against the door frame. “Seungmin-ah, what's up?”
“Jisungie’s hungry and lazy, so I came to steal from Channie’s ramyeon stash.”
Changbin stepped aside, letting Seungmin in. Seungmin immediately noticed the lone bed on the room. “Did staff reserve the wrong rooms?” The younger asks. Chan and Changbin seem confused. “The bed. Jisungie and I got one bed too.”
The two hyungs look at each other before Changbin speaks up. “Right, yeah. There must have been some kind of error. But, I mean, it's not like we never shared beds before. We don't really mind
Chan digs through one of his bags. “If you're uncomfortable, I can talk to hotel management and get you guys a different room.”
Seungmin shakes his head. “We don't mind either. It's fine.”
Chan hands Seungmin a ramyeon cup. “Don't keep him waiting,” he jokes.
“Thanks, hyung.” Seungmin smiles before walking to the door. “Goodnight,” he calls to the pair, getting his words echoed back to him before he left.
Seungmin opened the door to his hotel room and walked to the bed. “Hyung, I got your ramyeon. It's the mild kind. Channie knows you well.”
Jisung didn't answer, causing Seungmin to reach over to touch his shoulder. The elder of the two just whines, burying his face into his pillow. Seungmin gives up on waking his hyung and turns off the lights, climbing into bed and closing his eyes, letting his tiredness take hold within minutes.
The next morning, when Seungmin opens his eyes, he finds his hyung clinging to him, head on his shoulder, hugging his arm, still fast asleep.

Chapter Text
The day of the concert held an air of awkwardness between Jisung and Seungmin. When Jisung woke up to himself cuddling his dongsaeng, he was mortified to say the least, profusely apologizing before escaping to the bathroom to take a shower. And while Seungmin awkwardly tried to reassure Jisung that it was alright and he wasn’t made uncomfortable about the situation, he couldn’t bring himself to look at his hyung for more than a couple seconds, let alone talk to him. Every time he looked at Jisung, he thought about his face pressed into his shoulder, body clinging to his arm, his peaceful, soft expression, and the fact that Seungmin couldn’t bring himself to wake him up or pull away from his cuddly hyung.
Now the group sat backstage, eating and getting their hair and makeup done. Seungmin was the first person done, so he sat on the couch in the green room, scrolling through whatever social media app he first opened. He wasn’t really paying much attention to what was on his phone, his mind preoccupied by the image of Jisung’s sleeping face.
“What’s up with you today, Min?”
Seungmin looked up from his phone to see Felix standing over him, his head tilted a little and his brow slightly furrowed in concern.
“You’re not bouncing off the walls like usual. You alright?” Felix sat down beside Seungmin, leaning back against the plush couch.
“Oh, yeah, I’m fine,” Seungmin nods, his voice half-hearted.
“Okay, let me rephrase. What’s wrong?”
Seungmin instinctively glances at Jisung, who’s joking with the makeup artist, making her laugh and scold him to stay still. Felix follows his gaze.
“Is it Jisungie? Did something happen this morning with you two?” Felix lowers his voice.
“It’s nothing bad, just…he, like, um…he was cuddling me in his sleep.”
Felix’s expression softened and he smiled. “Aw, that’s adorable.” His smile faltered when Seungmin’s expression didn’t change. “Oh, did it make you uncomfortable?”
“No, no, not at all,” Seungmin immediately answers, shaking his head. “I know he didn’t mean to…”
There’s a pause. “But?” Felix speaks up.
“I think he’s, like…embarrassed or something…I don’t know. It’s just…been awkward. I told him I didn’t mind, though.”
“You didn’t mind?” Felix tilts his head like a cat, a nearly imperceptible grin on his face. “What do you mean?”
“I mean, like…it was fine. I wasn’t uncomfortable or upset by it, so I didn’t try to wake him up or anything.”
“Min,” Felix’s grin becomes more noticeable. “You laid there and let Jisung cuddle with you?”
Seungmin’s ears turn bright red. “I don’t know what you’re trying to say, but cut it out.”
“I’m not trying to say anything, Min. I’m not trying to tell you how to feel about it. I think you already know how you feel.”
“Yongbok, quit it,” Seungmin lowers his voice, praying Jisung can’t hear them.
“Someone has a little crush,” Felix teases.
“I do not!” Seungmin furrows his brow. “I don’t even like guys like that!”
“Mm, you sure? I’ve been getting vibes.”
“Vibes?”
“Yup. My gaydar’s been going off. You always seem to try to provoke Binnie-hyung so he’ll grab you and push you around, you look at Minho-hyung a little too fondly at times, and not this cuddling incident with Jisungie.”
Seungmin’s neck and ears are burning and at this moment, he’s thankful for his makeup for covering his hot cheeks. “Is that what it is?”
“If it makes you feel any better, I’ve noticed Jisungie looking at you a lot too lately.” He stands up. “Just talk to him about it tonight. Who knows? Maybe things might work out in your favor.” Felix gave Seungmin a cheeky little wink before walking off to talk to Chan.
The energy at the concert was electric. Tens of thousands of screaming fans all gathered to see the group perform their favorite songs. But throughout the night, Seungmin noticed Felix and Jisung chatting, glancing at him. Every time he noticed, he felt his cheeks and ears grow warmer and he felt the need to adjust his clothing and dump water on his head to cool his burning face. To the rest of the group and to the audience, Seungmin just looked like he was trying to stay cool in the warm, humid Singaporean climate.
After the show, the group was exhausted, sluggishly changing out of their stage clothes before getting into cars and being shuttled back to their hotel. The group split off in pairs and Seungmin and Jisung shuffled into their hotel room.
“Do, uh…” Jisung speaks up, breaking the silence. “Do you wanna shower first?”
“Nah, you shower first. I’ll order room service and eat. Do…do you want anything?”
Jisung thinks as he pulls his hoodie off, revealing a black tank top underneath. Seungmin felt compelled to avert his eyes. “I could go for a pizza, if they have it. You know what I like, so…surprise me, I guess.” Jisung disappears into the bathroom and the white noise of running water breaks the silence of the room.
Seungmin sits at the desk in the room and calls the front desk, ordering food for him and Jisung. As soon as he hung up, he leaned back in the chair and sighed, wiping a hand over his face. Why is Jisung making him feel so weird? Could Felix be right? No, definitely not. Seungmin has never thought about men in that way before, so he can’t be gay, right?
For a good while, Seungmin thinks hard, trying to process his feelings. Then he remembers how he adored certain baseball stars to the point of bordering on attraction. And then he thought about how the members make him feel. How his heart flutters when Changbin grabs and lightly manhandles him, how he catches himself staring at the members because they’re all just so beautiful, how he sometimes craves skinship with his members so much that he’ll go out of his way to find one of them just to sit and lean against them.
Oh.
Shit, he really is gay.
His thoughts are eventually interrupted by the sound of the shower turning off and soon after, Jisung emerges from the bathroom, his hair damp and falling over his eyes. Seungmin’s eyes fall over his form, dressed in loose shorts and a hoodie, before quickly looking away, his face feeling hot again. “Food should be here in a minute.”
Jisung sits on the bed, opening his phone to message on Bubble.
Seungmin stays silent until the food arrives, Seungmin quickly getting up to answer the door.
The two eat in silence, Seungmin seeming lost in thought as he ate some half decent pasta.
“You alright, Minnie?” Jisung speaks up, pulling Seungmin out of his mind.
“Yeah, what’s up?”
“You’ve been all quiet and out of it today.”
Seungmin just nods, putting his plate down. “Yeah, I’m fine, just…” He pauses to work up his courage before continuing. “This morning had me thinking a lot…”
“Shit, because of…” Jisung’s voice trails off, not completing his question. “I’m so sorry. I would never try to make you uncomfortable, you know.”
“No, no, I know, Jisungie. That’s not what I meant…” Seungmin fidgets a little. “I just…I’ve been thinking a lot because…I…um…I really didn’t mind it.” He looks away to try to hide the embarrassment on his face. “I honestly…I thought it was kinda…um…I thought it was cute…”
Seungmin couldn’t bring himself to look at Jisung. He felt so embarrassed and vulnerable to the point that he could cry if he didn’t want to stubbornly hang on to his last shred of dignity.
But Jisung didn’t say anything. Within a moment, Seungmin feels a hand on his cheek, turning his head before soft lips press against his. It takes a moment for Seungmin to finally process that Jisung is kissing him, but the realization makes his tense shoulders relax.
Jisung pulls away, his cheeks red and his eyes sparkling. He grins at Seungmin’s flustered expression, his hand still on the mans cheek. “You’re adorable,” he grins.
“...shut up…” Seungmin grumbles, pretending to be irritated even though he refuses to pull away from his hyung’s touch. “No I’m not…”
“Sure, Minnie. Now go shower. You stink.” Jisung pulls away.
Seungmin stands up, but lingers near the bed.
“What’s up?” Jisung hums.
“I, um…That was…the- the kiss, I mean…it…”
Jisung laughs at Seungmin’s stuttering. “Our kiss was what, hon?”
Seungmin’s heart flutters. “Quit doing that,” he huffs, his voice bordering on a whine. “I’m trying to be sincere for once.”
“Okay, okay, how was our kiss, Minnie?” Jisung tilts his head.
“It was…really good, but I’m…I’m trying to…” Seungmin sighs. “I’m trying to say it was my first.”
Jisung’s playful expression becomes more sincerely fond. “With a guy, or…?”
“With anyone,” Seungmin admitted.
Jisung smiles. “That’s actually really sweet.”
Seungmin fidgets with his hands, still just standing there. “Can…um…can I…?”
“You want another kiss?” Jisung grins, his voice teasing.
“Nevermind,” Seungmin rolls his eyes, turning away. Jisung quickly grabs his wrist.
“C’mere, handsome.” The elder pulls the younger towards him, kissing him again chastely before letting Seungmin pull away. “Now, go shower.”
“Fine,” Seungmin groans, his face and ears pink yet again as he turns and disappears into the bathroom.

Chapter 3: honey, there is no right way
Chapter Text
After their stop in Singapore, the group flew back to Korea to continue preparing for the rest of the tour and practice their stages.
The night that the group got back, Seungmin went to Jisung and Minho’s dorm to say goodnight and maybe get a kiss from Jisung.
He knocked on the door and a few moments later, Minho answered it.
“Hey, hyung. Is Jisungie here?” Seungmin asks, his hands fidgeting with the hem of his shirt and his face getting a little pink
“He said he was going out with Chan and Bin to talk about new music,” Minho leans against the door frame. “Did you need something from him?”
“Oh, uh…I was just gonna, um…I mean, no, I didn't…” Seungmin struggled to figure out something to say.
“Your ears are all pink, Minnie.” Minho grins. “You came here for a kiss, didn't you?”
Seungmin’s face instantly flushed. “He told you?”
“He tells me everything, as a boyfriend should.”
Seungmin’s heart dropped. “Boyfriend? He- he's your boyfriend?”
“You didn't know? I mean, we try to tone it down, but I thought it was obvious,” Minho can barely hold back his laugh.
“I-I’m so sorry, hyung. I didn't know, I-” The younger panics, bracing for Minho's wrath.
“Seungminnie, relax. I’ll explain everything. I’m not gonna kill you. Come on.” Minho nods towards the living area, inviting Seungmin in as he steps aside. Seungmin anxiously cracked his knuckles as he walked in and sat on the sofa. Minho sat beside the young vocalist, sitting a little closer than what would be seen as normal. “Relax. I’m not mad. Did none of us tell you about our arrangement?”
“What?” Seungmin blinks. “What are you talking about?
Minho grins. “You're so oblivious, it's adorable.”
Seungmin’s face turns bright red. “Don't tease like that! Just tell me what's going on!”
Minho nods. “Alright, alright, calm down. The simple way to put it is the seven of us are dating each other. We only didn't tell you because we didn't know if you would be comfortable with that kind of relationship.”
“...all of you?”
“Yep.”
“You…you can do that?”
“If you're good at communicating, yeah.”
“Oh…” Seungmin looks down at his fidgeting hands, trying to think.
Minho could sense Seungmin’s uneasiness. “What's on your mind?” he asks softly, reaching up to rub Seungmin’s back comfortingly.
“I just…Jisung made me think a lot…I…I really like him…but I also feel that way about Binnie and Jeonginnie and…and you…I feel that way about all of the guys. I didn't really understand it, and I don't know if I fully do even now, but…I…can I talk to you guys about trying it?”
Minho's expression softens. “Of course we can talk about it. We all adore you, Minnie. The boys would be so excited to hear that you wanna try this.”
Seungmin smiles, relieved to finally get his thoughts out. “Thank you, hyung. I was really nervous about this.”
“Ah, don't call me hyung, Minnie,” Minho tilts his head, taking his hand away from Seungmin’s back to brush the younger man’s hair out of his face, his touch lingering. Seungmin feels like he could melt into a puddle, his face feeling hot. Minho smiles again. “You're so cute when you get flustered.”
Seungmin whines a little. “Don't make fun of me…”
“But it's so fun,” Minho chuckles.
“Not for me!”
Minho leans closer, his hand gently petting Seungmin’s hair. Seungmin leans into his touch a little. “You really are like a puppy.”
Seungmin reluctantly pulls himself away. “Stop…” he whines.
“Do you really want me to?” Minho grins, knowing Seungmin’s answer before he can even answer.
“I…well…no…”
Minho leans closer, petting Seungmin’s hair. “That's what I thought, pup…”
The teasing nickname made the vocalist's heart flutter, his body feeling warmer and his mouth going dry.
Minho inched closer, thick, silent tension hanging between the two until Minho’s lips reached Seungmin’s. The elder’s hand comes down to cup the younger’s cheek as their lips move against each other's.
They pull away briefly before leaning in again, Minho leaning forward and forcing Seungmin to lean back a little. Seungmin’s heart raced in his ears as he felt the hand on his cheek slip down to the back of his neck, Minho’s fingertips venturing into the short, black hair on the back of Seungmin’s neck.
Once the two finally pull apart and Seungmin opens his eyes, all he sees is Minho over him. “I- I um…do…do we…I…”
“You alright?” Minho hums softly.
Seunhmin nods. “Yeah, just…I…I’ve never, like…done…anything…before…”
Minho smiles. “Oh, you're just too adorable.” He brushes Seungmin’s hair out of his red face. “Do you want to? It's completely up to you. There's no pressure either way.”
Seungmin feels like he’s melting into the couch, so flustered, so hot and bothered, so desperate for more.
“I do,” Seungmin murmured. “I really want to…”
Minho climbs off him, standing up and taking his hand. “Come on.”
Seungmin blinked, a little confused and missing the warmth of Minho’s body being so close to his.
“We’re not having your first time on a couch, love. We're doing this properly, alright?”
Chapter 4: some like to imagine the dark caress of someone else
Summary:
in which Seungmin has his first ever sexual experience with the guidance of his Minho hyung.
Chapter Text
Seungmin’s heart feels like it was about to burst out of chest by the time he sits on the edge of Minho’s bed. He doesn't know where to put his hands, where to look, so he just stares down at his hands as they tug on a loose thread on his shorts.
Minho sits next to Seungmin, tilting his head to try to find Seungmin’s nervous gaze. “Hey, you okay?” the elder asks softly.
The younger man nods. “Yeah, just…nervous…”
“Don't be. The only expectation I have is that you’ll tell me if you need us to slow down or stop, okay? Can you do that for me?” Minho smiles softly at Seungmin’s nod. “Good. If it makes you feel better, I’m a little nervous too.” He rubs Seungmin’s back to ease the tenseness in his shoulders. “I want this to be good for you. That's all I care about.”
Minho’s gentle words help Seungmin relax a little. “Okay…” he murmurs. “I feel a little better…thank you.”
“Right now, my only concern is making sure you feel good and comfortable. We’ll go nice and slow.” He places a soft hand under the younger man’s chin, gently turning his head. “Can I kiss you, love?”
Seungmin holds his breath, nodding. Minho smiles a little before leaning closer until the gap between their lips closes. Minho cradles the younger man’s face, trying to be as gentle as possible with him.
Soon, Minho’s hands slowly trail down Seungmin’s jaw, his neck, his shoulders, chest, all the way to the hem of his shirt. He pulls away, his heart fluttering at how Seungmin just barely tries to chase after his lips. “Are you comfortable with me taking this off?” He asks, his voice soft and gentle.
Seungmin thinks for a moment before nodding. “Yeah, that's okay.”
Minho responds to Seungmin’s consent with another kiss as he pulls the hem up the man’s torso, briefly breaking away to pull the garment over his head and toss it to the side. He takes a second to admire Seungmin before asking, “Can I touch you?”
Seungmin nods, his eyes a little hazy and his lips parted. Minho softly traces his fingers over Seungmin’s bare skin, taking note of its softness before leaning in for another kiss.
Seungmin keeps leaning back until his back reaches the mattress. By the time Seungmin opens his eyes again, he finds Minho hovering over him, straddling his hips.
“You doing okay?” Minho asks softly, making sure to check in on the younger one.
Seungmin nods. “Mhm…um…where…where do my hands go?”
Minho laughs softly, his hand resting on Seungmin’s waist. “Anywhere you want them to. Whatever feels right.”
Seungmin thinks for a moment before tentatively placing his hands on Minho's shoulders. “Is…is that okay?”
Minho can't hide his endeared grin. “That's just fine, sweetheart.”
The two continue their soft, unhurried makeout, Minho's hands ghosting over the skin right above the waistband of Seungmin’s shorts. Seungmin feels a throb in his pants and embarrassment creeps up in his chest. He silently prays Minho doesn't notice anything pressing against his hip.
“Do you wanna take these off?” Minho murmurs against Seungmin’s lips, toying with the waistband of his shorts. Seungmin hesitates. “Hey, it's alright,” the older man assures. “You don't have to.” His hand leaves the man’s waist to gently touch his cheek. “It feels a little unfair that we're taking clothes off you and I’m still fully clothed. Would you feel more comfortable if you could take these off me?”
“Are…are you okay with that?”
“I’m comfortable with whatever you're comfortable with.”
Seungmin's hands slowly slip from Minho’s shoulders to the hem of his shirt. He stops, waiting for any sign to stop, before lifting the fabric and pulling it over Minho’s head.
Seungmin’s blushing spreads down his neck to his chest. “You…you look really good…” he murmurs, leaving his hyung's shirt somewhere on the bed.
Minho smiles. “Thank you, love.” He leans back down and kisses Seungmin’s forehead. “You look amazing like this.” He peppers kisses down the side of the man's face, trailing down to his neck.
Minho's lips felt electrified against Seungmin’s pulse, eliciting a light whimper that made Seungmin quickly cover his mouth with his hand to suppress any other noise. The action was met with a hand grabbing his wrist and lightly pinning it down on the bed.
“It's alright. Don't hide. I wanna hear you,” Minho whispers, triggering that throbbing in Seungmin’s pants again.
All the embarrassment that held Seungmin back finally melted away. “Minho…I…I need….”
“Yes, love? What do you need?”
His brain feels hazy. He can't remember the words. “I need…help…please help…”
“Help you with what? Is something wrong?” Minho pulls away a little to try and read Seungmin’s crimson face.
Seungmin shakes his head, his chest heaving a little from his breathing getting heavier. “I…I need…” He can't get his words out, and in an act of desperation, he bucks his hips up a little.
Minho catches on and smiles warmly. “I got you. Just relax, okay? Is it okay for me to touch you there?”
Seungmin nods. “Yes…yes, please.”
Minho slowly slips his hand down Seungmin’s waist, along his hip, to his clothed crotch. His hand slowly rubs along the bulging line in the fabric, feeling it twitch under his palm.
Seungmin quickly swallows back a whine, his hips squirming on instinct. Even through the layers of fabric that clothes him, he still feels so sensitive. The pleasure that spiked up his spine became so addicting to the vocalist.
Within minutes, Seungmin started fumbling with his waistband to pull his bottoms down just past his hips, his length hitting his stomach the moment it sprang free. His tip already glistens with pre-cum, proof of how quickly it takes to arouse him.
Minho gently wraps his hand around the head and starts with slow, gentle strokes, pulling soft, heady moans out of the younger.
Seungmin is so lost in a cloud of pleasure that he doesn't feel the loss of Minho’s weight on his thighs until Minho’s lips start to trail down his neck, his chest, his stomach. Seungmin lifts his head to catch his hyung kneeling on the floor between his legs, his face hovering over his thighs. The moment Minho’s soft lips touch Seungmin’s sensitive thighs, the younger whines, his head dropping back.
Open-mouthed kisses wander up to the tip of Seungmin’s dick, finally triggering a complete, albeit soft moan.
Minho's lips open up, wrapping around the tip, and inch-by-inch he takes the younger man into his mouth.
Seungmin feels like his brain is melting. He's touched himself in the past, sometimes when he needed to relieve stress and others when he was just alone and bored. But his own hand could never compare to Minho’s soft lips and his warm, wet mouth. Even through the haze in his mind, he could already tell that jerking off just won't be the same as this.
Seungmin’s hands ball into fists, covering his eyes as he tries to lay still.
“Fuck…” he whimpers. “I…fuck…so good…”
Minho keeps his focus on drawing more of those pretty moans out of Seungmin, expertly bobbing his head up and down on his length.
“Minho, it…oh god, fuck…please, it's so…I…”
Minho's heart flutters over the sounds Seungmin is making, stuttering and slurring and trailing off.
Seungmin's hips buck a little. “W-wait, I…fuck, I’m- I’m close…” Seungmin starts panting, whimpering and moaning louder as he tries his best to last a little longer.
Minho only continues, keeping his consistent pace as he opens his eyes and looks up at Seungmin.
Seungmin lifts his head and makes eye contact with Minho. The view of his cock disappearing past those plush lips and his big, sparkly, loving eyes gave Seungmin that push that he couldn't resist.
With a broken cry and his hands tugging at his own hair, the younger releases into his hyung’s mouth. Minho pauses, swallowing and rubbing Seungmin’s waist to gently guide him through the aftershocks.
Once Seungmin melts back into the bed, Minho stands up and sits beside the breathless heap. “You doing okay?” He asks softly.
Seungmin nods, trying to catch his breath.
“Let's take a little break, yeah? That looked like it was really intense for you.” Minho looks down fondly at Seungmin, petting his hair. “I’ll get you some water. Just get comfortable and I’ll be right back, okay?” He kisses the boy’s forehead and leaves Seungmin to gather himself and get him water.
By the time Minho comes back to his bedroom, Seungmin is curled up on the bed, half dressed and knocked out. Minho laughs softly and joins Seungmin, gently redressing him before bringing him under the covers and holding him close, allowing him to sleep in the warm comfort of his arms.
Chapter 5: only blue or black days
Chapter Text
As the group gathers in Chan and Jeongin’s dorm living room, Seungmin feels anxiety and nervousness build in his chest. He never feels comfortable in serious conversation with any of the members, let alone all of them. Part of him refuses to let his guard down, always putting up a front of sarcasm and lightheartedness. Even though Minho and Jisung agreed to help him talk to the others about joining their relationship, the idea of someone in the group being opposed to the idea of dating him only fed his anxiety, inspiring his imagination to come up with all kinds of worst case scenarios in which the group rejects him with little regard to his fragile feelings.
“You wanted to talk with us, Min?” Chan speaks up.
Seungmin nods, sitting on the couch and fidgeting with the sleeves of his sweatshirt. “Yeah, uh…I wanted to talk to you guys about…um…” He takes a breath to try and pull himself together. “Um…I think almost a week ago, I…” He glances at Jisung, who is just smiling at him encouragingly. “I did a lot of thinking and I realized that…I, um…I like…guys…” He pauses, gauging the others’ reactions. Coming out as gay was never the part of this that scared him, so this being his start made it a little easier to talk.
“You didn't know before?” Changbin blurts out, earning a harsh smack on his shoulder from Minho.
“Min, we’re really proud of you for telling us that,” Felix smiles softly. “We all know how scary it can be.”
“It's not just that,” Seungmin speaks up. The others go quiet, listening intently. “I…I really like…you guys…and I didn't understand it and I thought it was wrong to think about you all that way, but…I talked to Minho and found out how you're all, like…together…and, um…if you guys would like that too…I really wanna be a part of that…” By now his gaze is lowered, avoiding everyone else's expressions. “But of course, if not everyone’s comfortable with that, it's okay. I understand.”
Seungmin feels Jisung take his hand, giving him some reassuring contact. “Minnie’s new to all of this, so if we bring him in, we'll have to ease him into it.”
“Min,” Chan speaks up, commanding the younger’s attention. “If you're sure that you want this, I think I can safely say that we’d all love to have you join our relationship.”
Seungmin looks at the others. “Does…does anyone feel differently?”
“Minnie,” Jeongin speaks up, a grin on his face. “We’ve all been crushing on you for years.”
Seungmin suddenly feels all warm and flustered again. “It's kind of embarrassing that I’ve been so oblivious to…well, everything…” He laughs at himself.
A week after Seungmin joined the polycule, the boys flew out to Australia to continue their tour. Felix and Chan seemed the most excited, having reached their homeland after years of living in Korea.
In Melbourne, Chan and Felix took everyone out to dinner. Seungmin felt a little nervous. What used to just be a group dinner has now turned into a group date. As the group sat down to eat, Seungmin sat himself between Minho and Jisung, feeling most comfortable with their presence closeby.
As the others all talked with each other, Seungmin stayed silent, listening in on the conversation, but never contributing.
Minho noticed Seungmin’s little habits: fidgeting with his hands, looking around the room, bouncing his leg. Minho gently and subtly reaches for Seungmin’s hand, silently grasping it and holding it in his lap. The small, subtle gesture of Minho’s thumb softly brushing over the back of Seungmin’s hand made the younger relax a little.
Even then, guilt still ate at Seungmin’s insides. Even after joining the group’s relationship, he’s still glued to Jisung and Minho. He can’t even understand why. He knows he has feelings for the others and he wants to explore those feelings with each and every member, but he just can’t seem to get comfortable enough to try anything romantic with the others. He only seems comfortable with these two.
”Seungminnie-ya,” Changbin speaks up. “What did Minho do to get you to be so quiet, huh?” A light laugh rumbles over the table from everyone.
The comment was meant to be a joke, a small jab to include Seungmin in the conversation and pull him out of his quiet state. However, it only seemed to send Seungmin into a panic.
”No, not at all,” he shakes his head, glancing at the other. “I-I don’t mean to. I-I didn’t…”
The air sours from Seungmin’s serious tone. Minho attempts to silently calm him down by squeezing his hand gently. Seungmin feels everyone’s eyes on him as he realizes he just spoiled the mood because he was overly sensitive to an obvious joke.
”Sorry. I, uh…I’ll be right back.” Seungmin pulls his hand out of Minho’s grasp, standing up and leaving the table to escape to the restroom.
The table stays silent for a moment. “Shit,” Changbin mutters. “I’ll go talk to him.”
”No, no, you’re fine, Bin.” Chan stands. “I’ll talk to him. I feel like this is about something else.”
Chan navigates through the restaurant to the restroom and opens the door. “Min? You in here?” he calls out. Only a quiet shuffling from the furthest stall answers him. “Min? C’mon, let’s talk.” Seungmin finally emerges from the restroom stall, visibly anxious and embarrassed. “What’s going on, Min? You don’t usually get so sensitive about Bin’s jokes.”
Seungmin sighs, trying to settle his nerves as he leans back against a sink. “I know. I’m sorry…”
”Don’t be. Nobody’s upset with you. Just tell me what’s going on.”
Seungmin takes a minute to try and gather his thoughts, his arms crossed protectively over his chest. “It’s just…this is the first time I’ve been with a guy at all, let alone seven at once. And I feel like if I fuck things up with one of you guys, then I fuck it up for all of us.”
Chan listens intently, nodding and reading Seungmin’s uncomfortable body language. “Yeah, I understand. It’ll feel easier soon once you have enough time with everyone. I get that you feel most comfortable with Minho and Jisung, yeah?”
Seungmin nods. “It’s not that I don’t trust you guys or that I’m uncomfortable with you all. It’s just…I don’t know. I don’t know what I’m doing. I-I didn’t even know I was gay until, like, two weeks ago. I just…it’s so much change in so little time…but…they feel consistent. I know that if I’m nervous, they’ll be there to keep me grounded.” He looks away. “I just… I feel so bad about it…It feels like I’m doing everything wrong even though I don’t know what I’m supposed to do.” Seungmin talks faster, appearing stressed to tears.
”Min, Min,” Chan speaks softly, trying to calm the anxious mess of a boy in front of him by placing his hand on his shoulder. “You’re not doing anything wrong. We understand you’re not used to this. We understand you need time. And we will give you all the time you need.”
Seungmin takes a breath to calm himself down, blinking back the tears that briefly threatened to spill. “Are…are you sure nobody’s…frustrated? Like…I can imagine how it looks when I only spend my time with Jisung and Minho…”
”I’m sure, Min. We’ve all had a learning curve when it comes to a big group like this. We all get it.”
Seungmin nods. “Okay…” he mumbles. “I..I’m sorry for causing a scene over a stupid joke…”
“Don’t be, Min. It’s alright.”
Seungmin stays quiet for a while.
”You alright, Min?”
Seungmin nods. “Yeah…I feel a lot better now.” He uncrosses his arms. “Thank you, hyung.”
Chan gently squeezes Seungmin’s shoulder. “That’s what I’m here for, yeah? You know if you ever need someone, you can come to me. Or really any of us. We really care about you, Min. You know that, right?”
Seungmin just silently nods before leaning towards Chan, pressing his forehead against his hyung’s shoulder. Chan just wraps his arms around the younger, rubbing his back.
”You alright?” Chan asks softly, earning a silent nod from Seungmin. They stand in silence like this for a while. Chan refuses to let go before Seungmin. He places a gentle, tender kiss to Seungmin’s hair.
Eventually, Seungmin pulls away and takes a breath, pulling himself together before the two go back out into the restaurant and sit back down at the table. Seungmin feels more at ease now, engaging in conversation and joking along with the others, bringing back the lighthearted, fun mood of the night.
Chapter 6: there’s an art to life’s distraction
Summary:
Seungjin art date!
Chapter Text
The calm, quiet air of this Sydney morning did little to calm Seungmin’s nerves. He and Hyunjin arranged to spend the day together today. Seungmin knew Hyunjin loves art, so he arranged for them to get coffee and go to an art gallery. As the two walked from their hotel to a coffee shop down the street, Seungmin stayed close to Hyunjin, his hand drifting towards the other’s.
A cute little cafe on the corner. A chalkboard sign sits on the sidewalk with doodles of cats inviting pedestrians in. Seungmin quickly walks to the door, opening it for Hyunjin before walking in himself.
Seungmin sees Hyunjin’s shoulders visibly relax as soon as he steps into the cafe, the sound of the machines whirring and the smell of espresso creating that cozy, small coffee shop atmosphere. The two step in line and Seungmin looks up at Hyunjin. “Americano?”
Hyunjin smiles. “You know me too well.”
Seungmin looks ahead, trying to seem chill and nonchalant. “Of course I do.”
They reach the counter and Seungmin shows off his English skills, ordering their coffee with ease. As they step to the side to wait for their orders, Hyunjin turns towards Seungmin. “Your English is really good. You sound like a native speaker,” he hums, tilting his head.
”I’d hope so, after studying for most of my life,” Seungmin shrugs, laughing a little.
”Can you let me compliment you?” Hyunjin laughs a little.
Seungmin’s eyes widen a little, his ears getting pink. “Oh, I didn’t mean it like that-“
”I know, I know,” Hyunjin laughs and nods. “Just relax, Min. Don’t be cool. Just be you. I like you.” Seungmin’s heart flutters and he feels his face and ears warm up. Hyunjin sees how quickly he got flustered and laughed. “Jisungie was right. It’s so easy to make you blush.”
Seungmin rolls his eyes looking away. “All of you keep teasing me.”
”Because it’s so fun to see you get all flustered.”
The barista calls Seungmin’s name and hands him their drinks. Seungmin just hands Hyunjin his americano and grabs his hand, pulling him out of the cafe so that they could head towards the art gallery.
Seungmin notices how quiet Hyunjin is and he looks back at him. Hyunjin’s eyes are fixed on their hands. The younger released the elder’s hand, muttering an embarrassed apology. Hyunjin responds by immediately taking Seungmin’s hand again and gently squeezing. The simple gesture helped ease some of Seungmin’s nerves.
The pair reaches a gorgeous building front built with elegant roman architecture. Engraved in stone right above the intricately carved pillars is “Art Gallery of New South Wales.” Seungmin glances at Hyunjin, who seems in awe of just the exterior of the gallery. Hyunjin’s walking quickens and Seungmin struggles to keep up as they make their way up the stone stairs and inside of the gallery.
The two spend hours meandering through the exhibits, admiring the beautiful works of art on display. Neither of them say much, just holding each other’s hand. Seungmin often glances at Hyunjin, his heart fluttering over the way his eyes shine with inspiration and awe.
”Have you ever tried painting, Min?” Hyunjin asks, breaking the silence between them.
”When I was in elementary school,” he laughs a little.
”Do you wanna paint something with me?”
”I can’t use your nice supplies.”
”Sure you can. We’ll make something together.”
Seungmin’s cheeks grow pink. Of course Hyunjin would come up with something so romantic.
”Let’s go back to the hotel. We can work on it in my room,” Hyunjin turns around, leading Seungmin off with a bubbly excitement Seungmin only sees when Hyunjin is inspired to paint something.
Seungmin and Hyunjin walk down the street, still in the comfortable silence until they reach the hotel. Hyunjin seems almost giddy the closer they get to his room.
Hyunjin opens the door to his and Minho’s hotel room, the other being out, likely with Chan or Felix. The tall dancer makes a beeline to one of his suitcases, opening it and pulling out small boxes and a small canvas. He sets his supplies out on the room’s desk, pulling out the chair. “Here, sit down.”
Seungmin reluctantly sits in the chair and Hyunjin leans over behind him. “We can do something simple. How about a flower?” Hyunjin pulls out his phone and looks up photos of asters, setting it down on the desk as a reference photo. Hyunjin opens a tin case, revealing a bunch of pencils of varying sizes and hardness. He picks one and holds it in front of Seungmin. “Just sketch out what you see.”
”I’m really not good at this kinda thing.”
”You don’t have to be perfect. It’s a rough sketch.”
Seungmin reluctantly takes the pencil before beginning to attempt to draw the asters. The lines are shaky and the proportions just don’t look right. “Yeah, I’m really not good at this.”
”You’re doing great. Here.” Hyunjin gently takes Seungmin’s hand in his, guiding his hand to make light, gentle strokes over the canvas, slowly morphing the sketch into something that looks a little more like the photo.
”There. Let’s wash the canvas. I think a soft blue would be a nice tone. What do you think?”
Seungmin looks up at Hyunjin. The eyes looking back at him were soft and patient.
”Um…yeah, blue sounds pretty.”
Hyunjin color washes the canvas in a gentle blue, explaining the process and purpose to Seungmin. Seungmin just watches, softly smiling from how animated and passionate Hyunjin seems about explaining his technique.
Once the canvas dries, Hyunjin introduces Seungmin to his paints, carefully showing him how to use them before saying. “I want you to do the rest.”
Seungmin, despite his nerves and his lack of confidence in his painting skills, still tries, each stroke hesitant and nervous.
”It looks bad,” Seungmin concludes once he sets the brush down.
”It doesn’t! I like it,” Hyunjin lifts the canvas. While you could tell that the painting was an attempt at flowers, the colors don’t entirely fit together, the strokes are too long and unstable. The painting is elementary, but Hyunjin can’t stop smiling at it, admiring every stroke. “I’ll put it up in my room when we get home.”
“It would look better in the trash. Or a fire. Either’s good.”
”Min,” Hyunjin speaks up. “I like it. It’s something we’ve made together.” His smile and soft gaze are genuine.
“Okay,” the younger shrugs. “Just…don’t put it anywhere that the others can see it…”
”You’re too hard on yourself, Min.” Hyunjin lays the canvas down on the desk, turning Seungmin’s chair a little towards him. “You know why I picked asters?”
”Because they’re supposed to be easy…” Seungmin answers hesitantly.
”Because they’re your birth flowers. I have some piece of art of everyone’s birth flowers on my walls except for yours.” He looks over at the painting. “This is really special to me. I’m…I’m really happy that I got to share this with you. Even if you don’t care much for it. It’s really…It’s really thoughtful of you, Min.”
Seungmin sits up a little straighter and Hyunjin leans down a little further towards him. The two are a little hesitant, not wanting to rush this moment so that it could last just a moment longer. But eventually, their eyes close and their lips meet.
The soft, intimate moment is broken by the sound of the hotel room door opening. The two break apart and look at the door to see Minho standing there, grinning.
”Did you guys have fun on your date?” Minho asks, walking in and looking at the painting.
Hyunjin smiles. “We did. We got inspired at the gallery.”
”I can see,” Minho hums falling back on the bed. “It’s nice. I like it.”
”See?” Hyunjin raises his eyebrows at Seungmin, nodding towards Minho to prove his point.
Seungmin stands up, looking at the window. “It’s late. I should go to bed.” He looks at the painting, then at Hyunjin. “Thank you. I’ve never been on a proper date before and this was…It was a lot of fun.”
Hyunjin smiles, pulling Seungmin into a quick, chaste kiss. “Goodnight, Min.”
Seungmin smiles. “Goodnight, Jinnie.” He turns to leave.
“Ah-ah,” Minho speaks up. “You’re forgetting something.”
Seungmin turns back around and walks to Minho, leaning over to him and giving him a kiss as well. “Happy?”
”Very,” Minho grins. “Goodnight, Seungminnie.
”Goodnight, Minho.” Seungmin turns back around and leaves the hotel room, going back to his and Changbin’s room, his stomach full of butterflies.
