“Tré, you need to relax, seriously,” Mike says, his voice stern as he watches Tré shift uncomfortably on the hospital bed. “You nearly had a fucking heart attack.”
Tré sits on the hospital bed, arms crossed. “This fucking sucks,” he grumbles, absolutely hating every minute of being in the hospital. “I'm fine, guys, really.”
Well, he's fine now. He feels a lot better than he did before. Though he still feels like shit. Mostly for scaring Billie and Mike more than anything, but he's fine. He will be fine.
He's still alive, isn't he? They had managed to get him seen to in time, didn't they?
“You are not fine, Tré!” Billie says, still sounding very shaken up. “What if you had died?!”
Okay, yeah, that could've happened, but he didn't. He's still here. Alive.
Everything's fine.
“But I didn't die,” Tré says. “I got lucky.”
Billie looks at him, eyes narrowed. “But what if you did? What then?!”
Tré looks at Billie, at the way his eyes are red rimmed, and still a little glassy from crying. And he really hates how this has affected him. And Mike, who is in a similar state to Billie. He didn't mean to scare either of them like that. That's the last thing that he wanted to do.
“Never do anything like that again, Tré,” Billie chokes, moving closer to the hospital bed, and taking Tré's hand in his. “Don't you fucking dare.”
Looking up at Mike, before back to Billie, Tré sighs, nodding. “I won't, I promise,” he says. “And I'm sorry for scaring you both like that.”
Because truly, he really is sorry for scaring them both like that. Especially with how shaken up Billie currently is.
He never wanted any of that….
