The Two Priestesses of Heaven

天空の二人の巫女

Tenkai no futari no miko

- The Two Priestesses of Heaven or Tenkai no futari no miko is a fanfiction in collaboration with TsumiKoori, based on the My Hero Academia/Boku No Hero Academia universe by Kohei Horikoshi. Apart from its universe and characters, everything has been modified to suit our tastes.

- This fanfiction is rated (+18) because it will contain mature, sensitive themes that may offend readers. In other words, there will be mentions of violence, drugs, sex, depression, and more.

This fanfiction is also categorized as a mature romance. We would like to point out that there will be a teacher-student relationship. If this bothers you or disturbs you, we advise you to turn back immediately.

We also want to point out that we are not encouraging this type of relationship (given the "very huge" age gap). This is a fictional work intended to entertain and inspire dreams.

This type of healthy relationship can exist, however, you must be careful, because in reality, there can also be malicious people.

As we mentioned, read with caution and respect for our work.

If this age gap bothers you too much, turn back. (Especially since this fanfiction is inspired by mythological events, in other words, age differences, attractions, etc., and a few real events.)

In the fanfiction "The Two Priestesses of Heaven" or "Tenkai no Futari no Miko" there will also be BL or GL (boys love/girls love (yaoi/yuri)) relationships, but they won't be as developed as the main characters.

- Chapters will be no more than 10,000 words. Everything is written in the third person.

- The two main OCs have a story that's 85% identical to my other fanfiction "The True Hero." (only write in french, cause', the chapters are so soo long.) There are a few changes, but the rest is practically identical!

- We want to point out that we're keeping the character traits of the existing characters. There might be a few things that could change, but nothing too obvious, we hope...

- The new characters appearing in the story belong to both of us! Please don't appropriate them.

- We're both up to date with the manga/we know the original ending. Risk of spoilers for those who don't know the ending of the original work!

- To give some context to our fanfiction, everything takes place in season 3, in other words, just before the meeting with the Pussy Cats, at summer training camp!

- The main pairings are Aizawa Shota x Koori Tsuki & Midoriya Izuku x Sawaka Lily! There could be others, but nothing is certain. The main characters are mainly Tsuki & Lily, in addition to Shota and Izuku.

- Regarding the story, we will partly follow the manga's, with many changes and modifications!

The story was developed by the two of us. Initially, it was with Tsuki, who wrote a paragraph about the teacher-student relationship.

After reading her writing, I suggested we collaborate on it together since I really appreciate my best friend's writing (and she was also in favor). So I created a story based on Greek mythology (knowing that Tsuki loves mythology). We both really like all of this, so we decided to do everything together.

- This fanfiction has been in development since 2019. It hasn't progressed for a long time because my best friend Tsuki was a student, and since then, she's been lacking time and motivation. I've also given up a bit, wanting to focus on my other writing.

/!\

Updated on 06/18/2025;

I've decided to take up this fanfiction again, to move it forward slowly while discussing it with Tsuki (I have her agreement, especially since I'm waiting for her to approve the chapters before release. And she'll also participate. Less than she has since 2019, but she'll contribute some narration and dialogue, because I'm counting on her to participate a little too, hehe!).

Because I liked the basic idea of our fanfic, so I'll do my best, and so will she, to not abandon our project, which we've had so dearly since 2019!

/!\

ALSO THIS STORY WAS WRITE IN FRENCH

I TRANSLATE

If I make some mistake, please, don't hesitate to tell me!

Legend has it that there were two twin sisters.

One had white wings while the other did not.

Despite this difference, they both worshipped and cared for each other.

Loved by their people for their kindness, beauty, and strength, God himself considered them Goddesses. Indeed, both were pure and watched over the heavens, taking care to help other mortals with fairness and solidarity.

They were known as the "Priestesses of Heaven."

Adam, the priest of Greece, furious that neither of them accepted his advances, decided to take revenge and killed one of the sisters near the altar of the gods to obtain a "gift from God."

The second sister, furious, drowned the man, punishing him for his sin.

Losing her will to live, the survivor remained by her sister's corpse, holding her in her arms until death took her.

The sky wept, and so did God.

Faced with their courage, their unyielding love, he exploded with rage, indignation, and helplessness.

The thunderbolts fell. And, despite himself, he created a kind of curse. Or a gift, should anyone ever reproduce this kind of pattern on this sacred altar.

Both are the key to opening Pandora's box;

in other words,

immortality.

Their love was eternal. And their hearts will remain forever connected. Such is their promise.

Nevertheless, reincarnations exist.

And the legend persists, still and forever.

┏━━━━━━━━━━┓

ANCIENT GREECE

AN VIII B.-C.

┗━━━━━━━━━━┛

Two babies had just been born. Two so-called twins.

Exhausted, sitting on an oak chair, the mother smiled with satisfaction, contentment, and emotion. In her arms, although she was sweating after so much effort during the birth, she cradled her two crying babies, wrapped in soft towels. The woman was alone, yet she didn't seem bothered.

She tenderly admired her babies. Two little girls. One had cyan blue eyes while the other had blue-gray irises.

"You will be great women, filled with gentleness, kindness, and love," the mother murmured, placing a kiss on each of their foreheads.

"You will be inseparable," she added. "Nothing will separate you. Through thick and thin, you will always support each other."

A few years later, in Greece, the two girls were growing up, living with their mother, in a loving and peaceful upbringing. They certainly didn't live in luxury. But their home was sufficient. Their mother taught them each the art of plants; medicine. Art. And gave them lessons such as writing, sewing, cooking...

The first child had bobbed, curly brown hair. Her blue-gray eyes often sparkled with joy. She was the most excited, playful, and the type who loved to run anywhere. Her sister, next to her, had shoulder-length, curly hair and cyan-blue eyes. She was calmer, but rather adventurous. She loved to explore a lot, and injured herself regularly.

The two were never apart and loved each other more than anything. They always played and explored together.

Much later, one of the girls noticed that her sister had strange lumps forming on her shoulder blades while they were bathing together. Worried, she went to inform her anxious, almost tearful mother, fearing that her beloved sister was infected by bacteria or a curse.

"No, sweetie. Your sister... she's going to... have wings."

"Wings? Does that mean she'll fly in the air? Like birds?" her blue-eyed daughter asked softly, worried and troubled. "Will I have them too?"

As a precaution, her mother checked her second daughter's shoulder blades.

"No. You don't."

"Huh?! Does that mean my sister and I will be separated?" she asked, her voice choked, her eyes watering.

"Of course not. You're inseparable." Just because she's different doesn't mean you'll have to separate."

The mother placed her index finger on her daughter's chest. She soothed her with these words:

"No matter the distance between you, your hearts are always connected, your love will remain eternal."

Years later, the first daughter grew her wings. The mother had to make new dresses so the wings wouldn't be disturbed by the fabric. The brunette with blue-gray eyes gently moved her little wings with a frustrated pout.

"I'm not going to get lost in the air? What if a storm carries me away?"

"No storm will carry you away, my darling. You are as strong as a Goddess, you can face anything."

"A Goddess? Say, Mom, you never told me and my sister who our father is!"

The woman's lips parted as she stopped sewing. The needle remained fixed inside the silk, and the mother's gaze seemed lost, pensive.

"One day, I'll tell you."

"But when? And then the other children make fun of my wings! My sister is always there to defend me. The others say I'm some kind of... bastard child."

The woman bit her lip and closed her eyes.

"Ignore them. You're smarter, my daughter. And I promise, one day, you'll know the real story."

Years passed. And the two sisters grew into radiant women, known throughout Greece. Both helped the less fortunate. With a simple smile, each brought hope and kindness. And since it was important, each brought offerings to the altar of the Gods, located near the sea, in a structure made of marble pillars, surrounded by ivy.

With difficulty, the sister with the wings was accepted into the community. Through her efforts, her courage, and her intelligence, she was given a chance. Since then, many have nicknamed her "The Angel of the Gods." She sometimes flew easily through the skies, delivering letters, scaring away crows that were signs of bad omens. She helped with construction or saved animals or children stuck in trees. She had a soft, captivating voice. Each song inspired dreams, soothed all the ills of the world.

The second was the kind of woman ready to help anyone with physical exertion: lifting heavy loads. She helped with construction, harvesting food in the fields. She was passionate about the arts: drawing, constellations, and theater. She was a dreamer, and with her sister, the two complemented each other.

They were surrounded by love. Admiration. Kindness, and luck.

And the gods appreciated them. Enormously.

Many kept an eye on them.

"Are you still looking at them?"

Hera, Zeus's wife, walked towards him, leaving her chambers on Olympus. She could already guess what the god was doing, watching from the golden clouds overlooking the heavens, also covering the view of Earth, where humans lived.

"I'm ensuring their safety," Zeus replied simply.

"Aren't you planning on inviting that girl with wings? After all, she's one of your daughters. Well, if you can call her that." Hera whispered, a hand running through her long, silky, amber hair.

"She's happy where she is." Zeus sighed, his eyes closed. "She just has wings; she has nothing else in common with me or my other children, Hera."

The goddess raised an eyebrow and gave a bland smile.

"Nothing in common? Really?" Do you think you can fool me like that, seeing Hermes watching over her whenever he passes nearby to collect souls?"

She giggled and turned on her heel, her long dress following her movement.

"Don't forget. Rule number one. Never interfere with humans. Never help them. Interfere in their lives. They are only human. Inferior."

"Hera. My love for you is real."

Hera opened her eyes and didn't deign to look at her husband. Remaining dignified, unyielding, she replied, though her heart swelled at his words:

"Hm. If you truly are, show yourself more often to me and to your son and heir."

With that, she walked away.

Months passed. Until tragedy struck.

The mother of the two sisters had fallen seriously ill. Each of the girls did their best to heal her, without success. Their smiles gradually faded, the tension mounted. One cried easily and blamed herself, while the other remained strong but suffered in silence. Finally, one evening, the mother finally revealed to them who their father was.

Zeus.

An absent father. Just a one-night stand. Nothing more.

Their mother asked her daughters not to hate him. To respect their choice. And to keep smiling no matter what. That they were her greatest pride. That she loved them. And afterward, she fell asleep. At that moment, a figure entered the small stone house.

Tall. With toned muscles, sandals with small wings on each side, was a handsome man with brown hair and blue eyes. He gave a compassionate smile to the two crying sisters. Without saying a single word, the god stepped forward, took a kind of gourd from his belt. He opened the hood, guided the mother's soul out of her body, and with infinite delicacy brought it into the gourd.

"Are you Hermes?" asked the winged woman.

The god considered the woman and nodded.

"Usually, I don't appear before any mortal. But I made an exception. Zeus gave me permission."

"Will..."

"She'll go to a better world?" Hermes interrupted, guessing what she was going to ask him.

He smiled delicately and allowed himself to place a hand on the brunette's head. His hand was large, warm, and protective.

"Take care."

"Thank you very much." the second sister said gently, with a grateful smile.

"Yes. Thank you." The winged woman smiled.

Hermes nodded and had to leave to complete his mission. With legendary speed, he vanished in the blink of an eye, astonishing the two sisters.

Since that day, they have redoubled their offerings. Thanking their God for his generosity in caring for their mother's soul. Watching over them.

However, a man took a liking to observing them. Especially one.

A few years later, this man was a priest. He regularly tended the altar. He gave the two women more work, promising them that their help and efforts would be greatly appreciated by the Gods.

He regularly glanced at the woman with the gray wings. As she knelt, washing the flagstones under the scorching sun, she was sweating, and the smell of sweat tickled the man's nostrils, who continued to ogle her, without any shame or restraint. This was something the second sister had noticed.

"What a dirty voyeur!" the sister with the cyan-blue eyes raged, kicking a pebble in her path.

"Yes, I know. But the village elected him as a priest..."

"What do I care! He doesn't have to be like this with you!"

The brunette raised her fist, serious.

"If he persists, I don't care, but Athena will agree with me, I'll beat him up!!!"

"Come on, don't get carried away. If you act like that, maybe the other gods won't like..."

"I don't care! I couldn't stand it if... That guy approached you and looked at you like that! You're not a piece of meat!" her sister fumed.

The woman with blue-gray eyes smiled endearingly. She hugged her twin sister.

"I adore you. But don't worry, if he does it with you, I'll give him a flying slap. We'll see if he keeps the faith." »

"But do it sooner!"

"I'm not acting so impulsively for no reason. He'll eventually understand that I'm not interested in him."

Although she proceeded with great perspective and wisdom, this man didn't follow this reasoning.

The harassment began.

It didn't matter which one.

Starting with oral sex.

Then with touching.

More and more pronounced, until he pinned her against the altar, placing his filthy lips on the pure skin of the winged woman. She screamed, squirmed. And he began to tear off her clothes. To remove one of her gray feathers.

Adam was her name. He was madly in love with their beauty. With their belief in the Gods. Both watched over the heavens, each bringing gentleness, love. But neither was interested in him.

This had driven him to madness.

At the very moment he struck his first target, he drew a knife, ready to stab the first sister at the altar.

Suddenly, her body was thrown aside. Blood spurted as the second sister charged forward, trying to prevent her from harming the other.

"Your arm!" the winged woman panicked.

"Everything... is fine! Fly, I'll follow you!"

Wounded in the arm, the woman with cyan-blue eyes quickly turned on her heel, her sister preparing to follow her in mid-flight, her wings outstretched.

"You won't escape me! You belong to me!"

Guided by a surge of rage, the man swung the knife mid-air at the wingless sister. She let out a whimper, catching the weapon in her thigh, which caused her to fall to the ground. Alerted by her sister's condition, the other immediately turned, shouting her name, and reaching out to her.

The wind was blowing the other way, unnaturally, as if fate had decided otherwise.

"Die! You're the one who made my dear and tender one hate me!"

Adam screamed.

"He told me that if I killed one of you... here, I'd receive a gift from the Gods!!!!"

The man retrieved the knife and began to stab the second sister in the flesh. He stabbed her repeatedly. Blood spurted in the setting sun, and the human screamed and agonized.

Mad with rage, the sister violently folded and unfolded her wings, pushed the wind back in her direction, and rushed at high speed toward the priest, grabbing him by the throat and dragging him with her into his eyes. She gave him no opportunity to defend himself, and she plunged him into the sea.

They dove.

And she strangled him.

She surfaced, inhaled enough oxygen, keeping him underwater, suffocating him. Again, the sister dove back in, watching him suffer. Dying slowly, at her own hands.

As soon as she realized he was losing consciousness, that he had stopped moving, she resurfaced, waited another full minute, making sure he was truly dead.

Anger extinguished, stress returning, she abandoned the man's body to fly away, to find her sister. She was panting, lying on her stomach on the ground, her eyes dazed. Panicked, the sister went down, ran, and hurried to take her in her arms. Her hands drank the hot, cool, metallic-red liquid that continued to flow.

"No! Stay with me!"

She was crying, screaming.

Her sister laughed weakly, placing her hand on her winged sister's cheek.

"I will be... Always... With you."

"No, I want you here, not anywhere else!" choked the woman with blue-gray eyes.

Her sister's hand moved down. The light in her eyes faded, and she kept smiling, the last tears streaming from her eyes, as she succumbed to death.

Her sister's eyes widened, helpless, watching her sister die.

It was less than half an hour before Hermes arrived, his eyes bulging, distressed by what he had just witnessed. He repeated the same gesture, which he had made several times since Zeus had entrusted him with his mission. And yet, with difficulty, he could not keep his composure.

"Hermes."

The voice of the last living sister stopped him in his tracks.

He raised his blue eyes, looked at her.

The winged woman's gaze was dull, devoid of joy. Her smile was faded, and she clearly refused to release her twin sister's body. Her voice was broken, her throat dry.

"Take me with her."

"I... I can't."

"Please."

"I can't. I'm sorry."

The woman trembled, hugged her sister tighter. She sobbed again.

"I can't live without her."

"You... You can. Stay strong."

"Stay strong? It's beyond me." She laughed weakly. "Her heart doesn't beat anymore. She's gone."

The God bowed his head, closed his eyes. He forced himself to resume his task, even though the half-mortal wanted her life taken too so she could stay by her sister's side.

Everything was happening too fast. Compassionately, Hermes placed a hand on her shoulder.

"I won't pray to anyone. Not even Zeus."

Hermes's lips parted, but he didn't respond. He simply closed his eyes, sincerely sorry for the loss of the only person who mattered to him, and left.

The sister hugged her dead sister tighter.

The sun was setting.

And the survivor breathed her last, refusing to leave her sister alone on the other side.

That day, the two priestesses of the heavens gave up their souls.

That night, it rained.

Zeus wept. Devastated.

Alone, isolated.

He went to that altar. Away from the weeping crowd, he buried the bodies of the two women underground. The god clenched his fists, frowned. Their deaths were unjust.

And he had observed everything. Hera watched him, along with Poseidon, Apollo, and so many others. The rules prevented him from acting.

He had witnessed the murder of one of his daughters. The second had let herself die.

He could do nothing.

Zeus had entrusted their souls to Hermes, ensuring they could be reached.

Their deaths had saddened him. So much so that lightning tore through the heavens. And the graves of the two sisters shone.

"They will be reincarnated. It will take them many years," Hades had murmured.

"What does it matter," Zeus had replied.

Hades stirred his wine glass anxiously.

"You're not supposed to do this. You're breaking a rule."

"I changed my mind."

"You know that if they reincarnate... That if by pure chance, both of them are killed in this altar, the aggressor will gain immortality? Have you lost it?!"

Faced with this weighty accusation, Zeus clasped his fingers together, rested his forehead on his hands, uncomfortably.

His anger, his lightning that had struck the sisters' graves, had also struck the altar. With a power that had just given birth to something supernatural in this place. It was beyond his capacity. His tears, his indignation, had created a curse.

"That won't happen."

"Let's hope so," Hades whispered.

"He saved me, he helped me when I was lost, when I no longer knew what I wanted. It wasn't just out of duty, no, someone else would have simply called the police. He listened to me, he was my confidant, he comforted me when things were going badly. I admire him for that.

I got to know him, I memorized his every trait, his every expression. He's someone who always seems calm, as if nothing can touch him, a touch sadistic, a sleepy look always plastered on his face, but above all, he's someone with a sharp mind, who notices everything, who helps and motivates people. I admire him for that.

He was my homeroom teacher; I was just another student. And daring to cross the barrier of our social status was risky. My family is holding me back, preventing me from flying on my own, preventing me from discovering the definition of happiness.

My name is Tsuki Koori, this is my story."

---

"I was always told to smile. That it was important, that this way I would be accepted by everyone. I prioritized others too much before myself. Or I would walk away with a smile, protecting myself from nastiness. But only one person could understand me. Perceive my true feelings, which I had repressed for a long time.

He was a kind person. With his freckles, his emerald eyes filled with dreams and determination. He fought for what seemed right to him, got hurt, continued to believe and progress. He never judged me. He has a tender heart, huge on his sleeve. I admire his strength.

Because he is full of hope, he alone represents the light, while I, on the inside, am rotten. And beside him, I sometimes felt lost. He is the only one who came to me, to listen to me, to support me." To encourage me to believe in my abilities, which some have tried to take away from me.

My name is Lily Sawaka, this is my story."

Chapter 00:

Heavenly Descent

天降臨

Ten kōrin

"It's almost time."

Hades noticed that the grains of sand in the hourglass had just completely fallen.

Centuries had passed since the incident involving the priestesses of the heavens. And today would be the day of their reincarnation.

Not on the same day, however. There would be a month's difference. Given the earlier death of one of the sisters.

The God watched from his throne in the Underworld as a soul left a corner far removed from all madness. A ball submerged, shone, and disappeared for good.

Cerberus raised its three heads and began to bark loudly, prompting its master to give it a gentle stroke, which immediately calmed the beast. It wagged its tail, lying back down on the ground, docile.

The two sisters were finally about to join mortals. And only after their birth would spring arrive. The two souls undoubtedly represented a painful reminder for the god. That time was passing.

And that he would have to be separated from his dear and tender one.

His wife, Persephone, approached him, a rose in hand. She settled easily on his lap, her gaze kind and delicate.

"I can feel you tense, my love."

The King of the Underworld gazed at the beautiful goddess standing at his side. She was the daughter of Demeter, the daughter of the Goddess of the Harvest. And Persephone was the Goddess of the seasons, of spring—but also of the underworld. That season would return soon, a few days after the last sister's incarnation.

Without any verbal response, his wife understood with a simple glance. Hades was used to being impassive, harsh, and authoritarian with others. But not with her. His wife expressed all his melancholy, his sadness.

Constantly, the idea of having to be apart, for so long, broke him. It ate him up inside. To avoid being so selfish, he kept quiet, not expressing any whims. Hades wouldn't allow himself to do that. He had to remain dignified. And strong for his sweet, tender Persephone.

After all, she wasn't insensitive either. She truly loved him. And for her too, it was a difficult test.

Their love was sincere. Deep. On the other hand, the distance made them more vulnerable. For Hades, he was perhaps a little more tense, on edge at times. His tender and beloved was his balance, brought gentleness, and was always there to listen to him.

Persephone was his happiness. A flower more magnificent than a narcissus. He wanted to keep her only for himself. But he couldn't. Such was the agreement given by Zeus, pitting him against Demeter.

A Goddess as stubborn as she was overprotective. She deprived her daughter of too much freedom. Here, in the underworld, although surrounded by vegetation, far from her nymph friends, Persephone had a little more right to go where she wished. She feared no restrictions. Moreover, she felt comfortable by his side. Every day, his wife whispered in his ear that she loved him. That she was happy with him.

Her happiness was important. And Hades knew that sometimes he had to release her from his embrace so that she could bring spring back to mortals. Harvests were essential to them. To feed themselves. To live.

"Everything will be fine."

"I know," Hades whispered.

He placed a hand on his wife's cheek.

"Since you'll be returning to Earth..."

"Don't worry. I'll watch over them sometimes. For your brother Zeus."

"No need. He'll take care of it. You have enough work to do on your own."

With innate gentleness, he took her in his arms, brought her waist closer to his, and sighed contentedly. He inhaled her floral scent, a secret only she knew, which helped him relax.

"Zeus tends to remember a few children, despite himself. Especially the most memorable ones..."

[ JAPAN, SAITAMA, PRESENT DAY,

YEAR 2012

MONTH OF JUNE ]

"Hey. Did you see?"

A middle school girl whispered to her classmate as they had just passed someone.

"What?"

"Koori-san."

At that name, the other girl's eyes widened, she turned around immediately, and admired the silhouette of the person who was the most controversial figure in Himawari Middle School.

Koori Tsuki. A graceful teenager in the distance. She had long white hair like a veil of snow. Long eyelashes, blue-gray eyes. On her back, round, gray wings, similar to those of a tawny owl. Her skin was white, so perfect. She had no physical flaws; she was like a little princess, belonging to a world very different from that of the others.

And that was the case.

Her family was extremely well-known in Japan. Even in the world. Koori was rich; her parents ran a large company and were influential. Even close to those who ruled Japan. And Tsuki was their only daughter.

No one dared to really approach her. Some had tried. However, the teenager remained calm, only responding when necessary. She exuded an aura all her own and was in a bubble. As a result, the white girl had, in spite of herself, become a princess at school. Even the teachers constantly praised her, placed her on a podium. Well-behaved, respectful, a model student.

Tsuki was a very studious student. She always got the best grades. In any subject. This girl was unbeatable. Incomparable. And already, at such a young age, people said she would become something incredible. Just like her parents.

She and her family shone. They were the most beautiful image in existence. Everyone envied her. She must have lacked nothing. She must have been loved and must have loved being treated so well.

But all this was from the perspective of others.

The reality was darker than that.

In the hallways, Tsuki was studying. In her hands, she held revision sheets with several sections and highlighted keywords. It was exam time. And she had to be on top of absolutely everything. Make no mistakes. Despite the makeup that made her look more natural, it concealed her dark circles. Her fatigue.

She hadn't slept much for too many days. Little by little, her eyelids were getting heavier, just as her legs were aching terribly. Her muscles were still sore from last night. And the change in temperature wasn't helping even more. It was getting hotter and hotter.

The cicadas were chirping outside. The sun was shining. The people around her were happy, looking forward to summer vacation. And not her.

Tsuki sighed, continued walking, not feeling very well inside, but outwardly, she wasn't letting it show.

"She's the school princess," the middle schooler explained. "She's beautiful and intelligent and always keeps to herself. In short, even if you greet her, don't expect anything in return!"

"Hmm."

"I know you recently moved in, but still, you don't remember anyone's name! Nor her!" her classmate sighed.

The teenager, who was observing Tsuki's silhouette, narrowed her cyan-blue eyes.

"And has anyone tried to be nice to her?" she asked.

"She refuses all invitations, and besides... She's the teachers' favorite and a real princess. It's better to leave her alone. She's untouchable and too perfect for us!"

The middle schooler's words seemed to greatly displease the new student. Slowly, she buried her hands in the pockets of her navy blue skirt and confronted her, a little crudely:

"Then you just don't have the right technique."

"Excuse me?" the middle school student next to her was offended. She immediately glared at her. "You seem a little too confident, Sawaka-san. Go ahead, I'll watch you!"

Without backing away from this obstacle, the newcomer moved and fell into step. Her shoulder-length, ocean-blue hair with curly tips quickened her steps to greet the white girl, who was walking slowly.

"Hello, Koori!"

Surprised to be accosted like that in the hallways, Tsuki turned and looked up from her technical sheets. She stared curiously at this stranger.

"Hello...?"

"Nice to meet you! My name is Sawaka Lily, from Year 7 D! I just moved to Saitama in February!"

" Oh... Okay."

" And you? What's your name?"

" You know it... You just said hello."

" From someone else's mouth is no match for yours!" The blue-haired girl replied spontaneously, placing her hands on her hips. "Come on! Tell me your name?"

A little confused by his answer, by this personality that stood out from the other middle school students in this school, the young winged girl introduced herself in turn.

" Koori Tsuki. Year 7 A..."

" Nice to meet you! What are you studying for?"

Curious, Lily looked at the papers and immediately frowned. She grimaced, recoiled, flexing her arm, expressing her disgust.

" Math!? Eww! An invention of the devil!" she exclaimed. "You like it?!"

" Well... I have a test on that next class."

" You're very motivated. I've completely given up on math. But I'm working hard in the other subjects!"

Amazed that their conversation was flowing so smoothly, Tsuki considered the new student. She was so lively, so free, so honest. The white girl simply nodded, trying to cut their exchange short, not wanting to dwell on such trivial matters.

Especially if nothing would work out together. Besides, making friends was complicated because of her status.

The blue girl raised her eyes, seemed to analyze the winged girl. She could almost read her with a simple glance. Suddenly, unpredictably, she placed her finger under the white girl's nose.

"Hey! Don't move until I come back. Give me two minutes!"

"Excuse me..."

Confused, Tsuki let Lily run off down the halls. When she returned, she offered her a carton of chocolate milk and a candy bar. The blue girl smiled at her and tapped her index finger on her chin.

"You need sugar to study better. Take care of your health! And don't worry, I'll give you the carton!"

Calmly, the middle schooler unwrapped her straw, stuck it in her strawberry-flavored carton, and placed it between her lips, sucking on the cool liquid, fresh from a snack machine. She greeted her easily before exclaiming to herself:

"Shit! I forgot about chemistry class starting in three minutes!"

And then, Lily started running, in a hurry. She could hear the grumbling of a teacher who had caught her breaking the rules so casually. Tsuki watched, stunned. She couldn't suppress a smile, amused by this girl.

And this gift, which came out of nowhere. Which had no reason to be. It was fresh, sweet, delicious. And yet, it radiated a certain warmth in her heart.

This was the beginning of an encounter that would strengthen their friendship.

In the days that followed, Lily never failed to go and greet her. To talk to her a little. To offer her at least one candy in a different flavor. She regularly encouraged Tsuki, always with a smile. And when she tried to invite her to eat with her in the cafeteria, when the white girl refused, the blue girl never insisted.

Until one day, Tsuki overheard a conversation between some girls in Year 7.

" Apparently, Sawaka changed schools a lot."

" Really? Why?"

" Her father was a hero, but he died of an illness. And her mother was in a car accident and died. I heard that even her family didn't want her and that she was adopted!"

" Wow! That girl is cursed."

" And she's weird. She often has her head in the clouds and isn't afraid to go see Koori-san!" The middle schooler added, palms raised to the ceiling. "She's so poor and desperate that she thinks she can take advantage of poor Koori! Koori is too nice, she lets her do it, we should make Sawaka understand so she knows where she belongs!"

And the others agreed on this plan. Tsuki, behind the door of their classroom, clenched her fists and walked away. Knowing this kind of thing was horrible. This blue-haired girl didn't deserve so much malice. Especially since she was a kind person and was also the only one who took her into consideration.

The only one who treated her normally. Without caring about her name. Her reputation. She was patient with her.

Finally, she found Lily in the middle school's library, sitting by the window, her back to the viewer, working on her homework, wearing wired headphones. Her pen tapping echoed in the small room, which was rarely occupied by students. Only book lovers or hard-working people came to isolate themselves there.

Tsuki placed her bag on the varnished wooden table. Surprised, Lily looked up and fluttered her eyelashes, stunned.

"Koori?"

"Can I stay with you?" the winged girl asked softly, with a polite smile.

At first stunned, the blue-haired girl answered hastily, after removing her earbuds.

"Yeah! Of course!"

Glad not to be rejected, Tsuki slipped through the aisles, looking for something to occupy herself. Her homework was already done. Her revision wasn't necessary right away. She hesitated. Fantasy novel or manga. She finally opted for the latter, picking up one that piqued her interest and returning to the table, sitting comfortably on the chair opposite the blue-haired girl.

Not taking her eyes off her, Lily whispered,

"I didn't think you were the type to like manga," she said.

"Well, yes," Tsuki replied.

"So something in common!"

Tsuki's blue-gray eyes widened. She stared at the blue-haired girl and gave her a toothy smile. She still held her pen between her fingers. This girl shone brighter with the luminous vessel the sun cast against the window.

Heart pounding, hesitant and nervous at the same time, the young girl with gray wings caressed the smooth cover of the manga with her fingertips. Being the one to start a conversation was disrupting her daily routine. Shyly, she went ahead anyway, dreading possible rejection.

"Really? Do you like manga?"

"Yeah! I have a good collection at home. Do you like Naruto? It's a classic, but one of my favorites! And you're reading volume 17 right now?" Lily asked with a smile. "Oh! Wait! Don't tell me you've already read the others here?"

A blush was growing on Tsuki's cheeks. She replied softly,

"Well... yes."

"Have you already watched the anime?" Lily continued, abandoning all desire to work on her homework.

"Unfortunately, no. I'm not... allowed."

"Not allowed?" The blue-haired girl repeated, raising an eyebrow.

A little embarrassed to admit the reasons, the white girl fiddled with her fingers, automatically lowering her eyes.

"My parents... They deprive me of internet access. Except for researching specific subjects. And I don't have internet on my cell phone."

The abscess had burst. Tsuki had just revealed something personal to her.

"The restrictions are tough," the bluenette blurted out, listening. "Well, listen, you'll check my phone."

"W-What?" Tsuki blurted out, incredulous.

"I have unlimited texting and data on my phone. My adoptive father pays for everything. You might as well use it! I also have a few games on it. I take it you've never played any?"

"Not really..."

"Nor video games?"

"No..."

Lily's face turned pale.

"Uh, everything okay, Sawaka...?"

"NONE??! BUT YOUR LIFE MUST BE SO DULL!"

The bluenette exclaimed, scandalized, as she stood up abruptly, nearly knocking her chair over behind her. Her shout prompted the library manager to reprimand her firmly and authoritatively.

"NO YELLING!" she yelled.

"S-Sorry!"

Lily set the chair correctly, sat back down, grabbed the white girl's hand, and with a determined look, she spoke more quietly so she wouldn't be sent away from the room, which was supposed to remain calm and quiet.

"Tomorrow, I'll bring you my DSi! I want you to try some games! Believe me, it's worth it!"

"You want to bring a console? To school?" Tsuki asked in surprise. "It's risky, what if..."

"I'll keep it with me, safe and sound, don't worry, no one will steal it!"

Fully confident and determined, one could detect sincerity in her shining eyes. Tsuki let out a tender sigh with a smile. Her shoulders slumped, completely touched by his words and his desire to help her discover so many things.

She felt freedom. Carefreeness. Creativity. Daydreaming. And it was pleasant.

Meeting her, the white girl's world gradually became more colorful. Her life had a sweet taste.

"Okay, I'll get back to my homework. He won't get anywhere else," Lily sighed, picking up her pen again.

"Need help?" Tsuki offered.

"On Japanese literature? No, don't worry, I've got it covered. Theses are more about introspection..."

Back in her homework, with papers scattered around, Lily concentrated, rereading the contents of a page and making notes on a rough copy, crossing out the answers she had written. Her seriousness made Tsuki smile, and out of respect, she let her classmate study quietly. Opening the manga in her hands, she began to read.

Until now, books had been her only escape from reality.

A good hour later, a group approached. And Tsuki identified them by their voices. She remained calm, although adrenaline was pumping through her veins, her heart pounding, signaling that if anyone ever came to disturb them, she wouldn't hold back.

"Hey, Sawaka... I hope you're not bothering Koori with your homework!"

"Apparently, you never fit in at school, are you?" another middle schooler said mockingly. "Come on, leave Koori alone, we need to talk."

"Is it true your family doesn't want you?"

Disturbing the blue-haired girl with these remarks aimed at her made her frown. Lily sized them up silently, didn't play along, and looked away, refusing to make eye contact with the other girls in her class.

One of them shook her shoulder, trying to get her to get up from the chair. The girl refused to do so.

"Besides, we don't even know your Quirk, and you don't hang out with anyone but Koori! We tried to be friends with you!"

"Let go of me," Lily replied too sharply, her fists clenched.

"Huh? But you're not even friends with Koori, so bo-"

"I suggest you let go of her and get out of here before I finish my page," Tsuki interrupted very coldly.

Her eyes were fixed on her reading. However, what she had just ordered them was icy, intimidating. And the girls in Class 5D's eyes widened. They exchanged an uncomfortable look.

As for Lily, surprised, she looked at the white girl.

Tsuki sighed, turned the page of her manga, laid it flat on the table, raised her eyes, and stared at each of the girls who had come to harass her classmate.

"W-We're leaving. Come on..."

Immediately, fearful, the group left, hurried, all tense.

"It's good to know you're not friends with them," Tsuki said softly, with a smile that sought to ease the blue-haired girl's conscience.

"I have... pretty good intuition about who I really want to hang out with," Lily replied softly, lowering her eyes. "Thanks for your help."

"I'm also wondering what your Quirk is... Well, if you want to talk about it."

"I control the wind," her friend replied with a smile. "Like my father did..."

"...He's not here anymore?"

"My parents are dead. I live with another family who adopted me," Lily confided, wiggling her pen between her fingers, and Tsuki noticed her nails were bitten.

"...And they treat you well?" she asked.

"Yes. They're lovely," Lily affirmed with a more relaxed, sincere smile.

Tsuki smiled back, reassured to hear this.

By the end of June, the two had grown closer. They had become very good friends. They would each wait for each other at the entrance to Himawari Middle School. Whenever they had time, they would meet up. Even to eat together.

"It's so hot!" Lily whined, fanning herself with her hands in the hallways.

"It's hot..." Tsuki grumbled, then noticed details on her friend's arm. "Tell me, you really got bitten by mosquitoes."

"It only gets cool at night! You have to open the window!"

Tsuki laughed softly.

"Yesterday I overheard some ninth-grade students talking about their future plans. Have you thought about it? Even though we're only in seventh grade..."

"I want to go to UA."

Lily's direct answer surprised Tsuki.

"UA? The elite high school for training heroes?"

"Yes. I want to become a heroine," the blue-haired girl told her, very seriously. "And you?"

The white girl parted her lips, amazed that her friend already knew what her plans for the future were.

"I... I don't know yet. But I like helping others..."

"There's no rush, you know!" her friend reassured her, raising her hands with a smile.

"You'd make a good heroine, Sawaka... You're kind, caring, determined, formidable, and you're also strong. You have every chance on your side."

Lily stopped walking. She stared intensely at the winged girl.

"You really think so?"

"Of course!"

"Wouldn't you like to become a hero, with me?"

Surprised that she'd ask him that, Tsuki's eyes widened. She had secretly always dreamed of becoming that kind of thing. Her life was colorless, devoid of so much. Her parents prevented her from living it as he saw fit. And meeting Lily had changed everything. She had found someone who understood her. Shared the same passions. Plus, the blue-eyed woman had given her a taste for video games, certain music, and watching TV shows.

In fact, she'd already thought about making herself useful. Helping the people around her.

Becoming a hero. There was so much responsibility. Civilians admired them. After all, these people with superpowers are capable of neutralizing any threat. They provide significant support, are there to help preserve peace and justice. It had even become a full-time job for several years now.

They carry hope, admiration, strength, beauty.

"I'm not convinced my parents... Will accept that. And I don't feel capable of..."

"Your Quirk allows you to fly. That's already amazing! You're capable of more than me. You have great composure and you're super smart," Lily countered seriously. "And besides, a bird is made to fly, not keep its feet on the ground incessantly! You're not in a cage!"

Her hand raised, outstretched, Lily gave him a confident smile.

"Have you never wanted to fly in the air? To breathe in the feeling of freedom? To me, you're worth more than just obeying the rules!"

"Yes... If I try... to talk to them about it, they won't be in favor... And above all, UA is about aiming for the top and..."

"Don't give up too quickly!"

Not backing down in the face of an obstacle, Lily bounced back, her light blue irises sparkling with unwavering determination.

"You won't know anything if you don't try! And if it's not UA, we'll go somewhere else together! Japan has no shortage of heroic high schools! Right?"

"Not wrong," Tsuki smiled thinly. So... You want me to follow you in order to become a hero?

"It's in your blood!" Lily affirmed with a toothy grin.

Touched by such outbursts of affirmation, Tsuki could only feel deeply affected. It wasn't wrong. Becoming a heroine was closer to her ideal: to help and be useful. She took the blue-haired girl's hand, thus sealing the beginning of their promise.

Both would strive to become heroines. Together.

That same day, after class, they both saw a stray cat on the road, crossing the asphalt. A truck passed by, having not noticed the animal crossing carelessly. The two middle schoolers acted simultaneously, without the slightest hesitation. They charged forward. One spread her wings, flew, and caught the cat, while the second diverted the vehicle with a simple wave of her hand, the wind following the directive.

One could fly, and the other wielded the wind with the pores of her hands. Following a honk and a grumble from the driver, the two girls hurried to the other side of the road, out of breath. The cat meowed in the white girl's arms, who flopped down on her legs, like the blue one. Adrenaline pulsed through their veins, each panting, in shock at what had just happened.

Then, they both started to laugh. Their action only strengthened and confirmed their dream. And from that very day on, the two became inseparable. Best friends.

The years flew by.

And Tsuki and Lily were now in ninth grade. It was January. And there were entrance exams to the heroic high schools, which contrasted with those for the mainstream high schools. Having obtained her parents' approval, but with a contract attached, Tsuki felt very nervous about not being able to succeed.

She had to be top of the class. In everything.

January was cold. The snow had melted, the trees were dead, and the path was a little slippery. There were many middle school students coming to these open days to take the entrance exam. Some even came from abroad. UA Academy was one of the top hero high schools in Japan. Its success rate was extremely low, making it a real challenge.

And yet, that was also where the elite students came out. Like All Might.

"Sorry I'm late! The bus was packed!" apologized Lily, running towards her friend, her leather jacket flowing with her thick white and beige scarf.

"It's fine. Nothing's started yet. We're early," Tsuki reassured her with a smile. "Did you sleep well?"

"Slept?! I didn't even pass! I was too stressed!"

The blue-haired girl took a deep breath and let herself bounce on the spot, as if this would help relieve all her stress. Tsuki chuckled and said softly,

"I didn't sleep a wink all night either. Let's give it our all!"

"Oh, so this is the famous fur cape coat?" Lily remarked, her eyes wide, observing her best friend's outfit with the gray wings.

"Yes... It's..."

"You remind me of those Disney princesses! It's funny!" the blue-haired girl commented, amused, raising her finger.

Immediately more relaxed, Tsuki giggled and took her friend's hand, who was wearing winter mittens while the white one had gloves. Both of them were heading towards the establishment, which was indeed immense. There were two large wings, forming a U-shape connected in the center.

After climbing some stairs, inside, a loud voice could be heard, echoing powerfully through speakers. Standing over a desk that had no place to be; Present Mic.

" YEAH YEAH WELCOME THE NEW SEEDS OF HEROES! PLEASE, LISTEN WHERE YOU'RE GOING!"

The already established hubbub immediately died down.

Everyone followed the instructions and entered a room, a large amphitheater. Everyone who had applied to take the entrance exam had been assigned numbers. The two girls had to separate, each wishing each other luck and returning to their assigned seats.

The beginning consisted of a general written exam. Combining Japanese literature, history, and mathematics. Several hidden cameras were installed in the room. On the ceiling, on the desk, on the chair. Anyone who dared to cheat was rejected. There were even Quirk detectors, a new technological invention.

As a result, everyone had to really concentrate and focus on their learning and knowledge. After a four-hour test, with a lunch break where many could relax a bit, there were then groups divided into sheets of paper, which consisted of going into rooms for a practical test.

Separated from each other again, each group was determined to succeed.

Tsuki found herself facing a completely special course; there were only obstacles. Everywhere.

" HELLO AGAIN, kids!" Present Mic appeared, amusedly gesticulating on the spot, his microphone active. "Here's your test; the Quirk Race! Use your Quirks to arrive first! YEAH! And don't hold back!!!"

A speed test.

Tsuki flapped her wings and frowned. She had trained hard for this. And the young girl was determined to prove herself. Unlike the other candidates, she was the only one with wings. Already, an advantage.

However, the middle schooler was aware that everyone could have their own secret weapons. She remained prepared for any eventuality and, above all, to succeed. Because it was her best friend's dream to get into UA with her. And for that, Tsuki was even willing to get injured to achieve it. Her parents left her with only one constraint. The written exam went smoothly. Here, it was different.

" Oh my god, it's Todoroki!"

" Wait... Endeavor's son???"

" What? It's him?!"

The teenager was intrigued by whispers. She glanced briefly over her shoulder. She noticed a silhouette that stood out. A teenager with two-toned hair; half red and half silver. His eyes were odd-shaped, one turquoise blue and the other a kind of dark gray. The most striking thing was the deep burn that had bruised part of his face, around one eye.

A slight shiver of apprehension ran through the winged girl's body. What the hell had happened to him to have that kind of burn? And above all, this boy gave off such a dark, icy, resentful aura.

Not wanting to dwell on this boy too much, Tsuki tried to calm her pounding heart, to stay focused on the ordeal.

As soon as it began, she spread her wings and took flight. Agile, free, able to predict projectile traps, the white girl dodged everything, making sure to stay focused. Her tracksuit rustled in the wind, but strangely, the adrenaline pumping through her made her feel a whole host of things.

Lily was right. She felt incredibly free, at ease in the air.

Suddenly, a mixture of cold and fierce wind slowed her down. Astonished, from a bird's eye view, she saw the famous Todoroki surfing on an ice path he had just created. He had blocked every attack so quickly. The second, tall, muscular, with shaved hair, was moving in a hurricane-like whirlwind.

"What? He also wields the wind like Lily?!" Tsuki wondered, astonished.

Both had beaten him to it.

The young girl accelerated as best she could, hoping to overtake them.

It was a close call.

As for Lily, her practice was fending off people who pretended to be criminals. Skilled in hand-to-hand combat, the young girl knew how to defend herself with her martial arts techniques, sometimes with tricks using her Quirk or by exploiting the environment around her. The blue-haired girl was much better on the ground than in writing.

Resourceful, the blue-haired girl panted, taking moments to catch her breath. The backlash from her Quirk was causing poor oxygen flow in her body. And that was tiring her vision and muscles. She began to cough and noticed not far from her, a blond man repeating the same attack she had just performed barely two minutes ago: a gust of wind.

"Huh?"

The teenager further away heard him. He began to chuckle, lifting his bangs, giving him a mischievous, mocking look.

"What? You admired how much better I was at copying than you! Huh?" he boasted.

"...

"Yes! My Quirk is a copy! And remember my name, I'm Monoma Neito! And I'll be admitted to UA!"

Proud of his abilities, he began to laugh alone. Annoyed by this childish behavior, Lily absolutely didn't hold back from setting a little trap to bring him down from his imaginary pedestal. All it took was a swerving of her foot, a simple will, for the wind to begin moving, slicing towards the boy's leg, without actually cutting it. Neito lost his balance and fell dramatically to the ground.

This time, the blue-haired girl cracked a smile, watched him, and mocked him:

"Well, couldn't you have predicted that move with your test?"

Truly satisfied with her counterattack, Lily turned her back and heard the blond call out to her, his voice hoarse and irritated. He straightened up and smiled, his face twisted by the humiliation she had just subjected him to in the middle of the exam.

"Ah! You think you're smart? We'll see if you think you can outdo me!"

"You don't interest me. You remind me of a boring video game character..."

The label she had just verbally pinned on him offended the boy.

"And you think you and your dyed hair think you're invincible?!"

"It's my natural color!" Lily fumed. "And no, I'm not invincible!"

" Of course you're not! You were out of breath! While I wasn't!"

" Yeah, well, I don't fall as stupidly as you did!"

" But my word, I don't pull dirty tricks! That's childish! Come back down to earth!"

" What?! You're the one who's childish! Thinking you're smarter just by copying me! You're not smart, are you!"

The two candidates began to openly argue in the middle of the exam, attracting the attention of the others and also the judges on the screens broadcasting the test. Those playing the role of the criminals stopped, watching their little altercation.

" It's my Quirk! And there's no point in having a complex because I'm better than you! Don't be in denial! You're a poor idiot!"

It was important to remain calm. Diplomat. But this boy had a way of driving her mad. Lily gritted her teeth, walked up to him, grabbed him by the collar, and headbutted him violently.

"Put your voice down, you fucking copycat!!! You're annoying me!!!"

Suddenly, an adult appeared before their eyes. An audible slap made them frown. There was a laugh that sounded mocking. The blond and the blue-haired girl swiveled their heads, seeing a familiar figure appear before them.

A woman. With beautiful curves. A whip dragging on the ground. The adult ran his tongue over his lips, scanning the ground like a feline, ready to amuse himself with new prey.

Midnight. Heroin prohibited for those under eighteen.

"Ahhh, such passion! I so love seeing that animosity in your eyes!" she declared. "Now, here's something to make things more difficult for the young people!"

Stunned by such a change in level, Lily released Neito. He staggered and swallowed, just like the other candidates.

They were going to have to face a professional.

After at least a good hour, all the candidates were able to leave the premises. Changed. Everyone was exhausted after these intense exams. Many were wondering whether they would be accepted or not. Some seemed to already know their answer.

And Tsuki clearly hadn't spoken on the way home. She hadn't had the chance, as one of her parents' servants was waiting for her in a black limousine outside UA High School.

Three weeks later, Lily ran towards her best friend, beaming and enthusiastic.

"Tsu-chaaaaaaaaaan!!! Guess what??! I got in! To UA!!!"

Tsuki waited, as always, against the brick wall that separated Himawari Middle School from the outside. Hearing the good news, she cracked a smile, touched for her.

"Is that true, Leelo-chan? That's great!!"

"Yeah! Too much! I even got congratulations from Midnight herself! Can you believe it?! And she's the one who left a big mark on my arm and cheek!" Lily revealed, flustered.

"You... confronted him?" Tsuki asked in surprise. It was true they hadn't spoken at all since the competition. And Lily had ended up with a bandage on her cheek and arm.

"Yeah! She was super strong and awesome! Anyway, I got in! And you?"

Her best friend's smile faded. She lowered her eyes shamefully, fiddling with the hem of her white and navy blue school jacket.

"Me too..."

Her face was darkening.

"But my parents don't want me to. I didn't finish first in everything."

Her voice was low, weak. The young girl tried to keep smiling. For Lily. For her best friend. She didn't want to be responsible for anything. She wanted the best for the blue-haired girl. Even if it meant being separated.

Her friend's eyes widened. Her joy had just been taken away from her, so easily. Like a trail of dust.

The wind began to blow, while Tsuki forced herself not to explode in front of Lily. Her eyes stung so much. Her throat burned. She didn't want to crush her hopes. Nor her dream. But at the same time, she didn't want to lie to her about it.

"Sorry, Leelo-chan... You have to go on without me. I'm very proud of you. So go on."

Two pairs of arms came to embrace her, and a comforting warmth embraced her.

"I'm very proud of you too, Tsu-chan. It's not your fault. Your parents were wrong to forbid you from going."

"L...Leelo..." Tsuki choked, her eyes watering.

" There are plenty of other high schools! Shiketsu, Ketsubutsu, then there's..."

" W-What are you talking about...?" Her friend murmured weakly, her pupils dilating.

" I want to spend my high school years with you, you big idiot!" Lily scolded her, pulling away from her, her hands resting on her friend's frail shoulders. "You're going to finish first somewhere! So don't give up. Don't worry, if I passed UA, I can definitely succeed elsewhere."

" No way, you..."

" We'll always be together. There's no way I'm separating from you."

Tsuki shook her head, wiping away the beginnings of her tears. She was hiccuping, trembling, trying to stay strong.

"I'm so sorry, Leelo-chan, so sorry...!"

"Stop apologizing!" Lily smiled at him, stroking his hair, taking one of his hands, and interlacing her fingers with his. "Come on, how about a chocolate fondant at the café next door after class? You can console me with a strawberry tart too! Deal?"

"Deal..."

Together, hand in hand, they sealed their promise.

To stay together forever, no matter what.

Such was their destiny, already written, since their reincarnation.

Chapter 01:

A Day at UA

UAでの一日

UA de no tsuitachi

" It all began in China, in the city of Keikei. When a child radiating light was born. The people who overpopulate the world were all astounded by this miracle, and they began to believe it was a divine gift. Several theories arose about this kind of accident. Subsequently, paranormal phenomena occurred all over the planet... And time passed without anyone being able to determine the causes. Finally, the supernatural became the norm. And fiction became reality. Nearly eighty percent of the population possessed extraordinary physical abilities; it was no longer a human society, but a superhuman one..."

History class.

At Yorukira Heroic High School, located in northern Saitama, there were few students. But the success rate was as high as UA's.

Compared to that, UA was huge. Here, the school was smaller. The number of students didn't exceed two hundred. At most, three heroic classes. One of which specialized in the technology curriculum, which covered everything related to creativity.

Tsuki listened to the teacher, her mind absentminded. Summer was here. July had begun.

And it was extremely hot! Fortunately, there was air conditioning. However, it wasn't enough to put the students and teachers at ease. She sighed and stared at the courtyard outside from the window. Waves of heat were visible, almost giving off a western feel.

Behind her, she heard a moan. Lily was grumbling, her cheek pressed against her notebook. The blue-haired girl couldn't stand the heat at all. And neither did the cold. She was easily sensitive to many things. Since middle school, her hair had grown longer. Just like Tsuki, but a little wavier, still silver.

"Leelo-chan," her friend whispered, "you're going to get ink on your cheek."

"Please tell me there'll be a tub of ice cream in the cafeteria, please, I'm at the end of my rope!" Lily complained, her eyes closed, also whispering quietly so as not to disturb the teacher who was giving class.

"I don't know, they didn't put up a poster this morning on the ground floor..."

"That's cruel, they're sadistic..."

"Come on, straighten up, the teacher will notice."

Returning to a model posture, Tsuki focused again, letting her friend stay in her position.

Who, of course, called out the teacher. Immediately, the man wrinkled his nose, adjusted his round glasses, and approached the blue-haired girl's desk. He slammed his hand flat on the desk, making his student jump.

"Is my class boring you, Sawaka???!"

"AHHHHH!! N-No sir! I promise! I'm just dying of heat!" the teenager justified herself.

"Yeah, I admit it, sir! It's too hot!" a boy came over to support her.

"Isn't it possible to turn up the air conditioning?" a girl, who was the class representative, asked politely.

The teacher sighed, defeated. He ran a hand through his short hair.

"No, the school doesn't have enough money to upgrade the electricity. You'll have to make do with what's available! Once you're a hero, you'll have to put up with these kinds of problems too!"

"But sir!" the rest of the class implored, with puppy-dog eyes.

"I said no! And you, Sawaka, clean that ink off your cheek!"

Surprised, the blue-haired girl pointed at herself and stared at her best friend. Amused, Tsuki pointed to her side, and Lily quickly cleaned her skin with a bit of saliva from her tongue and her thumb.

About ten minutes before the end of class, the teacher coughed, trying to get the class's full attention.

"By the way, I have an important announcement to make. Tomorrow, you're going to have a special day. You're going on a school exchange with UA High School. As part of an intra-school exercise."

"UA? Absolutely?" a student whispered from the rows.

"Exercises are common among heroic high schools," another student whispered to her. "In the middle of July, it's going to be hot! Especially with this elite school!"

At this mention, Tsuki seemed surprised. She glanced behind her at her friend, who was immediately interested, her cyan eyes lighting up.

"So, since the commute is a good hour, I'm going to ask you to come early. Up at 5:00 a.m. And we'll leave around 7:00 a.m. If anyone is late, they'll stay at the school under supervision. Objection?

"No, sir!" the tenth-grade students chorused.

"Perfect."

At the end of class, now free, Tsuki turned and leaned back on the back of her wooden chair. She admired her friend pulling out of her blue backpack a blue water bottle with a blue hedgehog character and the other black and red; Sonic & Shadow the Hedgehog. She quietly drank the mint syrup she usually had, especially during the summer.

"And to think we're going back to UA for a joint exercise... You must be excited."

"I'm especially looking forward to competing against them!"

She smiled happily, closing the cap of her water bottle.

" Aren't you?"

"I'm curious too. But being warned at the last minute like that... My parents won't be happy."

"But they won't have a choice, since it will be noted down." The blue-haired woman replied seriously.

"Indeed. " Tsuki smiled, happy that this will serve as an alibi for her absence. " It's a shame we can't stay longer. I would have liked to spend a few days in a hotel far from my parents, in Musutafu. And be with you. It... would have served as an excuse for a sleepover."

"Ah! But it's true! Ahhhhhh, I would have loved to have a pillow fight with you, play video games, or roll around on the bed and act like a starfish next to you!"

The list Lily gave her particularly amused her best friend. The blue-haired girl was more into playing and relaxing than makeup sessions, unlike other girls her age. She was more of a geek, and that didn't bother the winged girl at all.

She'd never been allowed to do such mundane things. She always had to go home. And her parents knew about her relationship with Lily. As far as they were concerned, as long as the blue-haired girl wasn't "bringing their daughter's grades down," they let it slide.

In short, the teenager with the wind Quirk had never met Tsuki's parents. Only through the media. Nothing more. And she knew it was a taboo subject with her best friend. That it was best not to talk about it.

At the end of the day, as she was leaving school, Lily would walk her best friend home. Lately, Tsuki was finally allowed to walk back and forth alone. And she always made time to leave the house extremely early and drag her feet when it came to getting home. Because living at home was stifling.

On her phone, Lily looked at new video game releases. She smiled, lost in her own little world. Cars passed by, driving alongside them as they walked along the sidewalk under the setting sun. Their shadows stretched behind them, uniting, as their hearts did.

"Going back to UA... It's a bit like reliving my failure," Tsuki suddenly said, feeling guilty.

Her words made her friend tilt, bringing her out of her little bubble. She considered her, listened.

"My stomach is knotting. Thinking about all that. You wanted to go..."

"I'm perfectly fine where I am with you," the blue-haired woman retorted seriously.

"Yes... I know, but the fact remains that... If I weren't here... Right now, you'd be there. Probably well-supported and..."

"Tsuki. You're worth a thousand times more than anyone. I'd rather have you all to myself than be surrounded by others, where I'm not sure I'll be understood or loved."

His answer came as a slap in the face to the white woman. Surprised, she stopped to look straight into her eyes, a sign, a something that confirmed Lily's words. And of course, she was a real open book. Expressive. Sincere.

Nothing could disprove her argument.

Tsuki sighed, lowered her eyes, and readjusted her extremely well-known designer backpack, a luxury few could afford.

"I'm so lucky to have you."

"But so am I! You're the best!"

Pleased with this compliment, Lily nudged her elbow and giggled, her cheeks flushed. This teenager blushed easily, remained humble, and was always embarrassed by compliments, even though they made her heart swell. Seeing her like that immediately brought a smile to the winged high school student's face.

Her smile was so contagious.

Her happiness was hers too. And nothing and no one could erase that feeling. Lily was her world, her best friend. Her everything. Tsuki knew her inside out. He could also recognize her moments of weakness, her slightest expressions. Like the ones when she lied, covering herself to hide her sadness or frustration.

A true open book, one she would never tire of reading. Of admiring.

"Hey, how about stopping at an ice cream stand?"

At this suggestion, her best friend's blue eyes lit up.

"Ice cream?!" She repeated like a child about to receive a gift.

Tsuki laughed and took out her gold bank card from her purple wallet case, which was connected to her phone.

" I'll treat you. You already whined because there were only pears for dessert..."

" Naaaah?! Thank you! Thank you!!!"

These moments were the most precious to Tsuki. She smiled and headed towards a stand displaying a cooler. The small, exposed window was covered by a veil, enough to protect the shoppers. Browsing past a wide range of flavors, Lily had a feline smile, her eyes shining. She carefully looked, wondering which one to choose.

They both finally took a seat in the area reserved for customers: stools and a white plastic table with a mini umbrella. Along with ice cream, a drink was offered, a cold one.

" Mmmmhh!! It's sooo good! Vanilla and chocolate mint!" Lily exclaimed joyfully, overjoyed, spoon in mouth, eyes closed.

"The chocolate is good!" Tsuki confirmed, equally pleased.

"Ah! It's pouring too fast! Stop!"

Almost alarmed that her ice cream was going to spoil, Lily began licking the cardboard container, which made her friend laugh. In a way, the blue-eyed girl was behaving almost like a cat. Sometimes, she looked like one.

Slowly waving her wings, Tsuki wiped her forehead, her skin dripping with sweat like her best friend's, and despite everything, they took their time with their impromptu snack, the two chatting about everything and nothing, at ease.

Their moment of peace was unfortunately broken by their reminder to go home. Tsuki ended up saying goodbye to her best friend who had to take the subway to her adoptive parents' house, while Tsuki didn't live very far away.

The next day, very early, the sky was already almost clear. But cool. All the tenth-grade students boarded the bus and were escorted to Musutafu with their homeroom teacher. During the ride, Tsuki relaxed with music, headphones on, with Lily, who had dozed off on his shoulder.

The sun had risen. And everyone had finally arrived in Musutafu Town. Walking along a steep road near the sea, Lily admired the distant ocean with wonder. With the UV ships sent out, shimmering effects emerged between the waves, giving a magical glimpse. Seagulls flew peacefully overhead.

"Hey Tsu-chan, have you ever been to the beach?" Lily asked him, her voice dreamy.

"Never..."

"I'd like to take a walk there with you one day, feel the sand under my feet. And splash salt water on your face!"

"In that case, I'll push you into the water if you tease me!"

They both laughed. The idea of having fun at the beach was so tempting that it gave them a glimpse into the future. Another idea on their famous "Things to Do When You're Without Tsuki's Parents" list.

After several minutes of crossing a highway, the Yorukira high school students finally arrived at their destination. The driver parked in the parking lot reserved for the UA school. The school was closed. A gigantic gate kept away any paparazzi and media trying to get inside.

The teacher called someone on the phone while his students got out and stretched, their bodies stiff from the long drive. Very quickly, another adult came to open the door for them. It was Hound Dog.

" Hello, thank you for welcoming us_..."

" GRRR WOOF WOOF, WELCOME AND FOLLOW ME!"

Stunned, the other students exchanged glances and weren't in the mood to laugh. They remained courteous and explored the interior of the main courtyard. The trees lining the path were lush and green, providing plenty of shade. The paved path was well-maintained, with no signs of cracks or particular defects. The grass had been mowed, and there was even a small enclosure for several colorful flowers.

Arriving inside, faced with countless clean lockers, there was a scent of jasmine floating in the air, a reminder of the good hygiene management in this school. There was even the beginnings of air conditioning, which immediately made the students sigh with relief, who were stuck on the bus, in the heat, despite the open windows.

Along the way, in the hallways, there were several students wandering. Hound Dog asked everyone to move aside, and the students obeyed without flinching, eyeing the new arrivals, whispering among themselves.

On the first floor, the hero in the form of a sturdy dog signaled to the second-grade teacher to follow him.

"Stay here. Be good until I get back!"

Despite this instruction, a Yorukira student only yelled as the adult disappeared.

"Tsk, is he seriously asking us to stay here? In the hallways and not in a classroom? Seriously, he thinks we're bums!" Kyoshi, a black-haired boy, snapped aggressively.

With a mocking smile, he glanced at Tsuki.

"And you, Koori, the teachers' pet, didn't you say anything? He would have obeyed you without hesitation if you'd asked!"

"Maybe there aren't any available classrooms," the white girl interrupted, imperturbable. "So be good and wait."

"What a model daughter!"

He let out a twisted laugh. The others said nothing.

Kyoshi Kuro. One of the only boys in the class who didn't respect Tsuki. He had absolutely no fear of repercussions for her. In fact, he allowed himself to belittle her. To contradict her. But he never came to touch her. He did all this because her parents were close to his.

"You're still thinking about your little face, eh? And your friend? Haven't you thought she would have liked to be in a room?"

"I'm fine with waiting," Lily replied harshly.

She glared at him. But he was still smiling.

"Don't look at me like that, Sawaka. It'll be like I insulted your friend!"

The blue-haired girl closed her eyes, holding back from making a comment. She had to remain calm, no matter the circumstances. Sometimes, not responding was the best option. It was a form of intelligence. Not to play someone else's game and waste energy unnecessarily.

Anyway, that boy was the most detestable person there was.

One of the only party poopers in their class, even.

"Are you serious? Are you mute? Like carp? Don't you want to talk to me?"

He twitched his tongue on the roof of his mouth.

"I have to pee, and this jerk must be chatting with the hottie from Midnight!"

"Or... someone else," another boy chimed in.

"I don't care! And you know what?" Kyoshi grumbled, grabbing him by the collar. "Go do me the favor of asking the others in UA where the bathrooms are!"

"T-Now?"

"Now, you wimp!" he ordered more firmly.

Somehow, things calmed down a little more when Kyoshi slipped away from the group. Soon enough, the tension in the air eased.

Tsuki massaged her hands, trying to ease her passing headache. The night had been short, filled with stress and remorse, despite her best friend's reassuring words.

Being here was enough to twist the knife in her heart. To remind her of her failures. This high school was the one Lily wanted to get into. If only the white girl had come first in the Quirk race... If only everything was different.

As she mulled over the past, she recognized a silhouette.

That boy.

Shoto Todoroki.

The one who had managed to cross the finish line with another boy first.

The high school student glanced briefly in her direction. This time, since January, his gaze had softened. He no longer had his dark aura. It was almost as if he'd been freed from a hold. From what Tsuki had seen, during the UA championship, he'd been tough. But following a fight with one of his classmates, who had broken his limbs, the two-colored boy had exposed his flames.

Having a Quirk that was half ice and half fire was remarkable. And at the same time, extremely difficult to master.

"Oh! It's Todoroki! He's so handsome in real life!" one of the girls yelped.

"He's hot. Do you think he'd give us his number?"

One of the boldest ventured up to him and began to praise him. Shoto watched her, uncertain, lost. He replied, with Olympian calm, "Sorry... I'm not interested."

A direct rejection, without beating around the bush. One of his friends joined him, and he considered the group of foreigners from their high school. With his emerald green eyes, it only took him a few minutes to immediately figure out which school they were from.

"He's the guy who broke his fingers because of his Quirk," one boy explained to another.

" Yeah, the crazy one, right?"

Not stupid, the teenager with wild, fir-green hair understood their whisper and smiled embarrassedly, unwilling to linger over them. As he was about to move forward, he caught Lily's eye, as she stared at him. Without speaking to him, she gave him a natural, polite smile and nodded gently, as if to greet him.

" Midoriya" Shoto called. "Come on."

"Ah! Y-Yes!"

Before leaving for good, he nodded in turn, as if in response to the girl's courteous greeting.

A few minutes later, Yorukira's teacher came out of the staff room. He was accompanied by a man with shoulder-length black hair, wearing a jumpsuit that was equally black and yet a bit sloppy. Around his neck was a sort of white scarf. His eyes exuded a weary air, his irises dark, like a precious stone; obsidian. Under his eye, a relatively recent, deep scar had marred his fair skin.

"This is Eraserhead. He's the homeroom teacher of Class 1-A, with whom you'll be training!" their teacher introduced them.

"Eraser... who?" a student ventured to ask.

"Well, uh..." the teacher began to stammer, embarrassed, unable to elaborate on the subject.

The dark-haired man immediately spoke, his hands buried in the pockets of his hero costume.

"I was an underground hero for a long time. My name is Aizawa Shota. And I don't allow any disruptions during the class presentation. Understand?"

His remark was sharp, intimidating. Everyone immediately fell silent, including Kyoshi.

The group began to follow him, nervous. This man alone had created a slight unease, but at the same time, had managed to establish a framework of respect and discipline. He walked up to a large door, which must have been over two meters high from a distance. An A symbol was inscribed on it. Aizawa opened the sliding door.

Immediately, a disorderly noise. Then, nothing.

All of his Year 11 students had returned to their seats, acting both well-behaved and curious. Before Eraserhead could reach his desk, he abbreviated, in a monotonous and detached voice:

"These are the tenth-grade students I spoke to you about the other day. Remember which teams you'll be competing with and against."

A student at the back of the line raised her hand.

"Yes, Yaoyorozu?"

"Should we put on our tracksuits or our hero costumes?" she asked, as soon as she'd been given permission to speak.

"Costumes," Aizawa replied. "They brought theirs in their suitcases."

He glanced at the belongings of the students from the other school. Timidly, some lowered their eyes, not daring to participate.

"Introduce yourselves. Take turns."

Immediately, so as not to offend him, the students obeyed.

"I'm Sawaka Lily! I handle the wind. And my hero name is Skyao." The blue-haired girl smiled softly, not at all nervous about introducing herself in front of others, unlike some.

From his seat, Midoriya Izuku seemed interested. He didn't comment. He remained observant, trying to remember as best he could the names of the people he would be sharing classes with.

"Koori Tsuki. My Quirk is like an owl... My hero name is Tori. Nice to meet you." The white-haired girl added, bowing politely.

She recognized small gasps of exclamation. She narrowed her eyes, straightened, suspecting that her name wouldn't leave any trace of disbelief. The young masked girl hid her disappointment, would have liked to remain unnoticed for a while, but there was nothing she could do about it.

At Aizawa's order, the students led the others to a gamma field, after pointing to the locker rooms, where everyone was changing, stripping off their school uniforms for their hero costumes. With the distance between the classrooms and the practice areas being impressive, it made one wonder how many hectares UA occupied.

Placed in a minibus escorting the students, the UA class representative greeted, introduced her classmates one by one, smiling, trying to put the newcomers at ease. The windows were open to let in some air, and although it was extremely hot, the cicadas could be heard everywhere.

"Above all, don't hesitate to ask me any questions if you feel the need!" concluded the man named Tenya Iida, with a warm smile, his helmet tucked under his armpit.

"Yeah! I have a question." Kyoshi appeared without raising her hand.

"Yes? I'm listening?"

"Won't you shut your mouth? Did you think you were a tour guide?"

A blank fell. Immediately, an ash-blonde man twitched his tongue on the roof of his mouth and glared at the man who had just dismissed his classmate.

"You've got a big mouth, but nothing in your gut," Katsuki Bakugo insulted him quickly, trying to strike a nerve.

"Oh! Are you trying to act smart? Did your teacher forget the muzzle they put on you at the UA championship?"

The air was thick with an indescribable heaviness. This time, it was like lightning, and the tension was rising considerably. Katsuki stood up, trying to clarify things. A redhead and the representative were blocking his path, preventing him from committing the irreparable act on the bus.

"What did you say, you bastard?!"

"You bark, you're so pathetic!" Kyoshi mocked openly, laughing.

"Kyoshi. Shut up. You're annoying everyone!"

Tsuki's interruption immediately stopped the teenager. He turned, stared at his classmate, and studied her with his dark irises. A smirk played at the corner of his lips.

"Oh. Really?"

"Yes. Then sit back down."

She suppressed her discreet smile as he obeyed. The white woman quickly stiffened when he whispered to her, to the public:

"Fine, ma'am, I'm not going to UA because they're too imperfect, even though I was admitted."

Tsuki's eyes widened. She immediately defended herself, frowning, offended.

"That's not true!"

"Koori are easily boastful and too full of themselves. You're no exception."

"Hey, you talk to him better!" Lily retorted sharply, furious that he would insult her best friend.

"Come on, Koori. Why don't you tell them in detail... Why did you decline UA's offer?" Kyoshi smiled slyly.

" Go on, tell them!"

Kyoshi incited violence, disapproving looks, and criticism.

Unaffected by this, seeking to clarify her situation and defuse the situation that was becoming ambiguous, Tsuki replied calmly and firmly.

"I've always wanted to go to UA with my friend. But my parents were the ones who opposed it. Do you have anything else to add?"

The air was becoming heavy and palpable. The students of Class 1-A exchanged glances, disturbed, confused. All attention was focused on the Koori's only daughter. And that was something she hated.

Receiving attention, especially for prejudice.

The white girl sighed, her hand unwillingly seeking a little support on her right. She awkwardly hugged her best friend's hand, which she returned with a tender, caring smile. She quickly glared at their classmate, who had dared to tarnish Tsuki's image.

"Kuro, what you're doing is really low," Lily growled.

The black-haired teenager shrugged, a smirk playing at the corner of his lips. This time, he didn't add anything more, as if he was satisfied with his move. Having caused unease on the school bus that was taking them to a training ground.

His plan was working.

All along, Tsuki received stares. Whispers directed at her. The winged girl gritted her teeth, frowned, and simply lowered her eyes. It wasn't the first time she'd been stared at like that. And it certainly wouldn't be the last.

As long as Lily was by her side, the rest mattered less. At least, that's what she tried to convince herself, although her heart had decided otherwise.

After a few minutes, the aspiring heroes finally arrived at the gamma field. It was built from enormous steel pipes. There were a few structures that resembled large ventilation ducts. Fortunately, there was a platform to land on, which at least contrasted with the rest, which was completely chaotic, bordering on obstacles erected everywhere.

Admiring, her cyan eyes shining, Lily's mouth was open, which made her friend smile as she walked by. Sometimes, the slightest thing could amaze her, which made her easily adorable. Besides, her hero costume perfectly matched her ocean-blue hair and light eyes.

It consisted of a midnight blue and white jumpsuit. A short sleeveless jacket, the whole thing forming white diamonds. On her forearms, golden rings and white fabric, with an attached feather accessory. Blue knee-high boots with reinforced soles. On her hands, black fingerless gloves with a reinforced plate at the knuckles. Around her waist, a leather belt with pouches, covered with a combination of white and gold fabrics, forming a kind of feather.

Her adoptive mother had friends who were fashion designers, which made it possible to provide this very expensive costume, with these very useful additions for defense. The rest was drawn by Lily, in middle school, during her break, near Tsuki. This girl was overflowing with imagination and was so immersed in her project that her friend was amazed.

Beside her, Tsuki wore a simple, white, elastic jumpsuit, the mid-length sleeves clinging to her skin, like the rest of it, which highlighted her curves. The young girl wore black knee-high boots, a leather belt around her waist with several pouches, and a set of harnesses. Covering part of her eyes was a black blindfold—a mask—with holes allowing her to see through them. On her hands, black fingerless gloves.

For one thing, it was what Tsuki wanted. The ideas for the black logo on her shoulders came from her best friend, and the rest was imposed by the teenager's parents. Whatever the white girl wanted, her freedom would be cut off. Creative or not.

"There are some beautiful girls at UA," a boy said with a perverse smile.

"Have you seen the one with the high ponytail?"

"I'm more of the one with the butt and rosy cheeks!"

Inevitably, this led to comments on the others' looks. Tsuki tried to ignore these childish, inappropriate remarks and looked around for the two teachers. The two teachers, well apart, were conversing professionally and very seriously. At least, at first glance, it was more the teacher from Yorukira High School who was giving the speech.

The latter even threw a few sneering glances, which repelled the winged teenager more than anything. She frowned, immediately looked away, breaking off all eye contact with the man. He was rather clever and, above all, cunning; with his overly flattering manner, he was willing to do anything to achieve his goals.

"Well, Koori? Aren't you happy with the look our teacher's giving you?" Kyoshi called out, hir fists on his hips.

"It's unpleasant," Tsuki replied quickly, her arms crossing over her chest, defensively.

"Oh, really? You don't like this special attention, Hime?" her classmate slyly added.

"Hime." Symbolically speaking, the definition of "princess." The winged girl gave him a hard look, an underlying, icy, restrained threat.

"Absolutely not. Then shut up."

"Okay, okay!" He replied, hands in the air, still with that mocking smile.

The two had known each other for a long time. The fact that the dark-haired man was playing innocent didn't suit him at all. His acting was poor, over-the-top. Despite everything, he knew exactly what he was doing. Calculating, he made his way to attract all the attention. So that the people at UA would interpret Tsuki Koori in a negative light.

Gaining the trust of strangers seemed complicated. The white girl hoped that some of them would have a more calm, more mature reaction than believing this boy to be so stubborn, so deceitful.

Her every gesture, her every action, even her words, was being watched. Wherever she went, Tsuki would feel those eyes on her. Not giving her a moment's respite. Her heart pounding in her chest, she raised her blue-gray irises to one individual: Eraserhead.

Inwardly, the white girl felt extremely lucky. Although she had previously shown no expression, her conscience was rejoicing. Eraserhead. An underground hero, appreciating and avoiding the media. He was rational, unaffected by influence. He acted with discernment and efficiency, while remaining humble and himself.

Tsuki had discovered him in a HeroJapan article, when she could surf the internet, on Lily's phone while she was quietly reading a fantasy novel. In middle school, it was her greatest surprise to learn that a hero of his caliber existed. It was even more impressive to learn that he was assigned to this elite high school. To work as both a teacher and a professional hero.

Aizawa Shota was an admirable man. In every way, in her eyes.

And being able to meet him in person made her more than nervous. Her heart was racing. Her hands were getting sweaty, and she was dying to ask him for his autograph, if the opportunity presented itself. Which wasn't the case.

"Tsu-chan," Lily called, snapping her out of her stupor.

"Yes, Leelo-chan?"

Seriously, her best friend nodded, indicating Kyoshi and his gang of friends. They were giggling among themselves, their gazes full of mischief directed at them.

"Be careful," the blue-haired teenager warned her, "they're up to something bad again, those bastards."

"If anything happens, the teachers will intervene," Tsuki bounced, convinced. "And if it ever gets worse, I won't hold back from sinking my talons into their necks."

Faced with this very suggestive and violent promise from her friend, Lily cracked a smile, raised an eyebrow, and placed a hand on her hip.

"Well... You're getting really excited now that you're facing your idol," the high school girl with the wind quirk gently mocked.

"Hey! Quiet down!" Tsuki quickly became embarrassed, raising her index finger to her mouth.

The teachers were getting closer. A small meeting took place, explaining the important points before beginning the exercise. Standing aside, his hands buried in the pockets of his black suit, Aizawa let the speaker from Yorukira High School speak first. He cleared his throat, raised his head, and adopted a distinct and direct voice:

"Well, first of all, I'd like the Year 10 A students to know one important rule. No serious injury to this student; Koori Tsuki. At the risk of severe punishment!"

Tsuki raised an eyebrow.

He pointed at her with his hand, presenting her as a small trophy that was easy to destroy. All the students in the second A class at UA looked at the young girl, who felt crushed by the pressure and, above all, the humiliation. They tried too hard to pamper her. To put her on a podium. They immediately proclaimed her a true princess, spoiled, spoiled by her family's status, and not by her own abilities.

In the ranks, Tsuki felt indignant, even irritated looks; one named Katsuki Bakugo first and foremost. And he didn't hold back from expressing his displeasure. His impulsive, relatively aggressive temperament didn't belie his desire to become a superhero. And anyone who skipped the necessary steps to progress—and learn—incredibly infuriated him.

It was cheating. For him, this girl was abusing her title in exchange for money. It was unacceptable, unbelievable to accept her into the heroic world just because of that. Of course, there were people just as famous, taking advantage of their connections to get what they wanted, but this was definitely something that infuriated him.

"Are you kidding us!?" the ash-blonde man exploded in a very loud voice. "You want her to participate in the exercise, but for her fragile little person, don't you want to hurt her? If that's all it is, she'd better get lost!"

"Speak in a different tone. That's it, period. If you have anything else to add, you can return to the study hall," Yorukira's teacher stopped him, his tone very cold.

Katsuki's jaw vibrated slightly and tightened. He fell silent, having to swallow his pride, even though it reinforced his disgust for this famously over-pampered student. Tsuki, well aware that the nail was being hammered into the ground, that her image was about to become more than just bad, wanted to raise this fact but was forestalled.

By her best friend, who took on an incandescent tone.

"If I may, sensei, that's a bad idea."

"Excuse me? Are you questioning my authority?"

"Not at all!" Lily smiled falsely, her hands raised in defense. "I was mainly thinking about how Koori's parents would probably want a video of her properly defending herself. Especially with UA High School! After all, this school is the elite, the number one in Japan, they would surely want to closely examine their daughter's dexterity and skills!"

Tsuki's eyes widened in astonishment. Her sister, her best friend, the one who gave her a taste for life, had just found a way to literally change their teacher's judgment, with a smile that hid her irritation. Since April, the blue-haired girl had understood the adult's attitude. And for her, and for the white girl as well, they all looked the same.

They were easy to manipulate.

All it took was finding the right words to soften them up, to make them think. And it worked. Their teacher had drifted off into his own thoughts, leaving the rest of the group doubtful, while Lily narrowed her eyes, her cyan-blue eyes shining with a suspicious yet irritated glint. A few UA students noticed. And Izuku Midoriya seemed amazed by the blue-haired girl's ability to defuse the situation.

She had immediately removed any handicap from her classmate, believing she knew how to handle herself very well. Few would have had the audacity to intervene, while maintaining composure and a certain diplomacy.

"...Well, I suppose we can ease up on that, indeed. Exceptionally," the teacher conceded, clearing his throat.

A wave of satisfaction washed over Lily. She gave a discreet wink to her silver-haired friend. She smiled back, grateful. Izuku clearly noticed their little connection. They each valued each other, helped each other. Their friendship was beyond solid, and it was moving to witness. It was even as if they complemented each other.

However, this small victory wasn't well received. Aizawa frowned.

"Are you done being so indecisive?" The only daughter of a wealthy family, or not, she's an aspiring heroine. She's on the same level as everyone else here. He intervened, with a touch of indifference that amazed and made Tsuki's heart swell, delighted that he wasn't taking the side of the other adults she had known. Now, time for explanations.

Stunned by his words, Yorukira's teacher protested. His voice deepened, while his pupils shrank, revolting with undeniable rage. He did his best to remain minimally polite and professional, not wanting to humiliate himself in front of so many students.

"What did you just say? Eraserhead, you were careless. We're talking about the Koori's only daughter! This family, so rich, so powerful, who contribute to the betterment of the country, the right-hand men of those who govern and..."

"And does this kid here want to show off in the name of her parents, then?" Aizawa snapped, not caring at all about the repercussions.

The dark-haired man shot a sharp look at the woman in question. She stiffened and swallowed her own saliva. This man stood his ground, remained speechless, impossible to question. He was too infallible, authentic.

And that was something she admired most about him: his way of being. Eraserhead was an extraordinary hero, unique, incredible, who deserved respect.

"No, sir." Tsuki replied calmly, covering her nervous voice with the self-control she'd acquired over the years. "I'm here because it's my dream, to become a superhero. I've always wanted to help others. To offer my assistance. My parents were against it, but I managed to reach an agreement."

A silence fell over the gamma field. Her hair blowing in the wind, the teenager remained determined and honest about what had brought her here today. Her heart was pounding so hard in her chest that she was beginning to wonder how she could breathe normally, especially under Eraserhead's intense gaze.

He was assessing her. Remaining silent.

"What right do you have..."

"Good. Since everyone's here, we'll keep it short. To better assess you, you'll..."

"Don't ignore me!" the homeroom teacher of Yorukira High School fumed.

A sigh.

Aizawa narrowed his eyes and glared at the adult at his side. Being interrupted was one of the things he hated the most. Especially from a stranger who complied with orders so needlessly, who didn't take his role seriously. He was nothing more than an empty shell, a sheep, bleating to follow stupid rules.

At first glance, this individual must have been a new teacher. He must have been a trainee for a while, able to get his degree and a contract in a hurry. Or, conversely, he was an incompetent hero who must have shown off for his minimal intervention.

"Are you going to keep harping on about such stupid things?"

Many students in Class 1-A flinched. Lily noticed this, glancing in their direction. Whispers of disgust were erupting from their ranks.

"Aizawa-sensei is furious, he's dead..." Denki commented quietly to his friend.

"What do you think he's going to do?" Mina worried, also not reassured.

"He... Just signed his death warrant," Ochaco muttered, her eyes wide and her smile fixed.

"And not just a little," Izuku added, his grimace less exaggerated than Tenya's next to him.

The air was charged with a palpable electric tension. Aizawa moved closer to the other teacher and explained, heavily, in a clash:

"If I were you, I'd advise them to stop wasting the students' time, especially on such nonsense. The kid is at the same level as the others. Or maybe not even that. I'm here to train future heroes. If you don't share this opinion, I suggest you consult a professional about future career change, because you're bringing shame on the heroic education system."

With their mouths agape, no one dared to speak out. Except for Lily, her eyes sparkled, she clenched her fists, and was ecstatic. She could hardly restrain herself from cheering out loud. So, she did it quietly.

"Yessss!! Go ahead, take him down! Capable man!"

"Leelo-chan, shh, we'll hear you..."

The girl with gray wings came up and pinched her hip, making the blue-haired girl squeal and jump. Tsuki approved of her friend's reaction, but they had to remain discreet, lest someone catch them. Or worse, be seen by their homeroom teacher. In her case, the white girl would be spared—but not Lily's.

After all, since they'd started school, the teacher hadn't seemed particularly happy to see them together. And unsurprisingly, he always found something to criticize the blue-haired girl for, as if she were a little punching bag. Whenever she could, Tsuki intervened, trying to defend her friend. But it wasn't enough.

Since middle school, neither of them had had the chance to be in the same class. It didn't matter to them; they saw each other at every break, helped each other out. At least, for the start of their high school year, they were actually together. What struck Tsuki most was the fact that Lily didn't particularly care for teachers.

An invisible wall had been created. Lily never participated in class unless she was questioned. She only vaguely received praise. And it didn't bother her. Even when the blue-haired girl was forced to work in a team with others. The teenager remained neutral, detached, and remained herself.

Although less talkative and cheerful, unlike Tsuki. And she understood that well. Her best friend didn't get attached to anyone, except her adoptive parents and herself.

"You're being clever, but we received orders, from the principal himself. Do you think you're being wise with your words? If you had such an important student in your school, you'd be in the same situation as me. I demand that you withdraw your insults, Eraserhead," Yorukira's teacher replied coldly, tilting his round glasses up the tip of his nose.

"Do I look like someone who gives a damn?"

It was impossible not to smile at the boomerang effect. Tsuki was almost pursing her lips, her cheeks heating up. She was truly enjoying this fight that was going nowhere. Especially with her idol. He wouldn't budge, firmly sticking to his guns. And that was frustrating the other adult more and more.

It was a lost cause. And it would never end.

Defeated, thoroughly annoyed, and more tense than ever, you could see the nerves showing on the teacher's face, as he sighed in exasperation.

"...We'll talk about this later. Eraserhead."

The man with the erasure Quirk remained stunned and refocused on the students, who were overwhelmed by the tension between the two adults.

"So, as I was saying, your goal is to incapacitate three of the five members of the opposing team within a given time limit. To do this, you have the entire field at your disposal. The fight ends when three members of a team are declared incapacitated. If the given time runs out before then, the group with the most members still able to fight wins. You can use any means you wish. Remember, our goal is to evaluate you; therefore, we will be studying both your team spirit and your individual abilities."

They were all very attentive and listened intently to Eraserhead. He continued, naming people.

"We've studied your files and decided to include these groups. Yorukira Group A: Koori Tsuki, Sawaka Lily, Kuro Kyoshi, Chuichi Kita, and Fujimoto Osamu. You'll be up against Midoriya Izuku, Uraraka Ochaco, Todoroki Shoto, Kaminari Denki, and Aoyama Yuga."

The main players moved forward when Yorukira's teacher asked them to approach and gather on one side. Tsuki narrowed her eyes, worried. On the one hand, it was reassuring to know she'd be teamed with her best friend. However... They were with Kyoshi and her cronies. They were less boring, however, they too had their share of nastiness behind their smiles.

"Yorukira Group B: Fukui Naomi, Himura Imako, Manzo Yoshida, Denbe Hashimoto and Yuusuke Akiyama. You will be against Bakugo Katsuki, Iida Tenya, Jiro Kyoka, Yaoyorozu Momo and Kirishima Eijiro.

In turn, without flinching, those concerned took their places.

" Yorukira Group C; Mike Handerson, Mion Hatsuki, Yuki Tsumugi, Hiroto Matsui, Kenshi Sakura. You'll be up against Rikido Sato, Mina Ashido, Shoji Mezo, Asui Tsuyu, Ojiro Mashirao. The last ones I haven't named, you're Team D."

"Let's give it our best!" Eijiro enthused, pumping his fists together, fired up.

"Don't worry, girls, we'll be gentle with you!" Denki flirted.

Tsuki raised an eyebrow, and Lily batted her eyelashes and tilted her head to the side. The blond added, with a smile that was meant to be charming, honeyed. He tucked his fingers under his chin, adopting a gentlemanly posture. Little stars shone around him, in his imaginary world.

"I'll give you my number after-..."

"Sorry, but I'll pass." Tsuki smiled politely, her eyes closed.

"What do you want me to do with your number? Give it to the others?" The blue-haired girl asked, perplexed.

A chuckle escaped from next to her.

"No, Leelo-chan." Tsuki laughed softly. "He's flirting with you."

"He's what??????????" Lily exclaimed, looking shocked and completely out of it.

The white girl gave Denki an amused smile.

"Sorry, my friend isn't attracted to you. And besides, she's not picking up any signals from that..."

"Ehhhh!!!?"

"O-Oh. I see..." Denki said, looking sheepish. "Maybe if we got to know each other_"

A long cable approached him and jammed into his orifice. Following a violent shock, his body began to convulse at the same time as the blond began to scream in pain. Then, his legs feeling too heavy, he fell to the concrete floor, his brain fried, almost unconscious.

Not far from him, Kyoka cursed, her hands on her hips, looking bored.

"Idiot, stop flirting," the rocker grumbled. "You sound like Mineta!"

By mentioning the latter, he was lifted by the cape by the head representative. The most perverted member of the class had already gone off to "flirt" with the Yorukira students and had immediately made the others feel uneasy.

"Is he going to recover? Is he still going to do the exercise?" Lily questioned, staring at Denki's body lying on the ground. She saw slight movements, a sign that he was fighting the pain.

"Don't worry, he'll get up soon. It's not the first time he's... been through this," Izuku reassured him with a smile.

His emerald green eyes bored into the high school girl's cyan blue orbs, and he felt a slight shiver. Inwardly, All Might's disciple found her very beautiful. Her costume was more than original. Her ocean blue hair fell to the middle of her back, her irises so clear, like a clear sky. And Lily gave off a most delicate scent that he couldn't immediately guess.

She claimed to control the wind. A wind Quirk. A very well-known element, and yet, the holder of One For All was interested in it. In every eventuality. In its use. In how this aspiring heroine would perform, what her techniques were. His pulse quickened, and he couldn't deny his burning desire to know her abilities. Just as much as the others.

Examining, learning, and studying Quirks was a passion he'd had since childhood. A hobby he practically never tired of.

"Is everything okay? Is there something on my face?" Lily asked him casually, finding him strange for staring at her so intently, without saying anything.

Caught off guard, brought back to reality, Izuku straightened up, nervously waving his hands in front of him, his cheeks flushed. He was still a little nervous around women, not yet accustomed to communicating so freely. He was learning with his classmates. In any case, the freckled boy seemed unhinged to this stranger. Probably.

But surprisingly, Lily smiled at him kindly, not pointing out his flaw or his absence. Relaxed, without any fuss, not mocking or anything, she said,

"Oh, I see, you were lost in thought, wondering if we could beat you? Don't worry, we're full of surprises!"

Her deduction impressed All Might's disciple. He gave a clumsy smile, intending to answer her sincerely, but was beaten to it by his friend, who giggled gently.

"Deku-kun is often attracted to Quirks, he's a hardcore fan of them!" Ochaco denounced.

"U...Uraraka-san!"

"Deku-kun?" Lily repeated, one eyebrow raised, confused. "Is that a nickname?"

The brunette raised her hand slightly and explained softly:

"Actually, one of our classmates called him that! I thought it sounded good for him!"

"Does it have any particular meaning?"

Listening, Tsuki interjected softly, her eyelids narrowed, looking serious.

"Deku" is rather pejorative. It means something like someone incapable, pathetic, weak. It sounds more like an insult.

"To me, it sounds more like someone who inspires courage!" Ochaco retorted briskly, with a carefree and detached laugh.

The blue-haired girl didn't know where to start with this response. She grimaced and eyed Izuku, who was blushing a little. He seemed rather flattered, but he was explaining himself, wanting to confirm what his first true friend had said.

"Yes, I decided to keep that name and define it like what Uraraka-san said."

"It's very symbolic to transform a word like that," Tsuki said, far too bluntly, which surprised the green-haired girl. "And very courageous indeed."

Sharing her friend's opinion, Lily nodded silently with a small smile and looked away. Distracted from the exchange between the white-haired girl and the brunette, the teenager with the wind Quirk spotted Kyoshi and her gang in the distance talking with their homeroom teacher. Much too far away, she couldn't hear anything. Maybe she was imagining things, but the blue-haired girl thought she read a "Koori" from the movements of lips and furtive glances.

Wary, she frowned, and her protective side prompted her to take her best friend's hand. She considered her.

"What is it?"

Lily hesitated but finally dared to convey her concern.

"...Be careful."

"Did you see something?"

Lily grimaced and lowered her eyes, staring at her shadow beneath her feet. Tsuki automatically looked up, spotting the smirk on the corner of her worst enemy's lips, who shared the same class as her and her friend. Instinctively, the aspiring heroine understood he was up to something. And above all, that he must have reached an agreement.

The white girl's hand tightened on that of her only ally. She tried to remain calm, decided to be extra vigilant. It was as if she wasn't entitled to a moment of respite, wherever she went, no matter who she was with.

About ten minutes had passed. Group A was about to set up camp in the vast field. On one side, UA, and on the other, Yorukira. The sky was clear, the clouds drifted by at a leisurely pace, the sun shone brightly, imposing in the heavens. And it was still very hot. Already damp in her costume, Tsuki stirred her gray wings, preparing to take flight.

It was something she loved more than anything. Flying in the sky. That irreplaceable feeling of freedom, that taste of caressing the wind, of even being able to brush the clouds with her fingertips, was exquisite, sensational.

"Okay, let me tell you guys; we know their Quirk," Kyoshi began calmly and strategically to her team. "We already have a loser who breaks his fingers; easy to knock out. The girl, you just have to avoid getting hit, it's a foregone conclusion. The blond guy looks ridiculous; you have to take him by surprise and not the other way around, or you'll go crazy. The other blond guy who's acting like a Frenchman is just as weak as the first one."

"Yeah... But there's Endeavor's son! We're done for!" Osamu worried.

"Are you giving up already? With the girls coming to distract him, it's a done deal." This guy can't stand using his flames. Just blind him and he's done. All of us against him, he won't be able to hold out," the dark-haired man retorted, arms crossed.

"What a genius! You're the boss!" his second-in-command marveled blindly.

Not offering any more detailed plans, Kyoshi turned her attention back to the two girls who were standing aside, each exchanging ideas on exactly what to do. They called out to them, grinning mischievously. Hands on hips, the teenager moved closer to her.

"Why are you standing aside? Have you seen the terrain? Koori can't fly well with all these obstacles. She'll hit a pipe or something if she's chased. And you, Sawaka, it's the same with you. Your Quirk is too harsh and violent. You risk breaking pipes, and gas will block our path and put us in a terrible situation!"

He didn't hesitate to give specific examples. He knew their Quirk and its disadvantages very well. Lily glared at him and replied coldly:

"No need to worry about us, we have other secret weapons at our disposal. As far as I know, you're not invincible either, are you?"

"Look at that, there's the kitten who gets angry when I talk about his favorite mistress."

Ironically, he looked down on her. Being more than ten centimeters taller than her, he began to sneer. Kyoshi enjoyed putting her down, making fun of the bluenette for constantly hanging out with Tsuki. The bluenette growled, annoyed:

"Shut your fucking mouth, if you don't want me to smash your skull against a pipe," she intimidated him.

"Oh, is that right?" he pointed out, laughing. "It would be a shame to pick on me, knowing that my family is close to the Koori. I'm like your best friend's favorite cousin. And you wouldn't want your parents, who kindly welcomed you, to receive a bill with too many zeros to pay for my care..."

Letting a deep sense of unease linger, Kyoshi enjoyed the bluenette's reaction as she ground her teeth, her fists clenched tightly, and her eyes rolling back in her head with suppressed rage. Well aware that what he said was true, she felt extremely helpless and frustrated at not being able to let loose as she wished. And just for that, Tsuki spoke, thundering furiously.

"You're going too far! If you think I'm going to let you do this...!"

"Koori, little angel, her parents' angel..." he clarified, a touch mocking, his head shaking.

A shiver of disgust spread through the young girl. All her hair stood on end, not appreciating this little nickname she'd been called for so long. And which she could no longer stand to hear from anyone. He watched her with a mischievous look. Kyoshi whispered in the white girl's ear:

"Of the two of us, you know who your parents listen to the most. So... Stop playing the hero. And come back down to earth, will you?"

With these scathing words, Kyoshi added with a pleased smile and closed eyes:

"I hope you girls will be more cooperative! We're going to crush UA."

Chapter 03:

UA VS Yorukira

英雄  VS ヨルクラ

Yūei VS Yorukira

In April, a few years earlier.

In front of the entrance to the Koori residence, 12-year-old Tsuki stood upright alongside her parents. She was in Grade 6 and had just started her first year at Himawari Middle School. It was very early in the morning, around six o'clock.

She had been asked to get up early for an important meeting. Dressed in her school uniform, the young girl checked several times to make sure her skirt wasn't wrinkled. Her fingers discreetly brushed the fabric, seeking to distract her stress away from her parents' strict gaze.

The morning breeze caressed her delicate skin, which shivered at the touch. She narrowed her eyes slightly, trying to ignore the cold. The sun had not yet risen, the sky was still dark, but a few patches of light were appearing between the thick clouds. The wind blew, playing a delicate melody on the leaves of the trees in her garden. Her smooth silver locks floated, following the direction of the passing air.

On the horizon, she recognized the foreign make of a luxury car. With the headlights on, the driver had parked near the sidewalk. The engine was still running, and several figures emerged from the vehicle, all well-dressed except for one person. A family of three.

" Sir, Madam, it is a great pleasure for us that you have taken the time to grant us this interview. "

With a formal, even skillful greeting, a man of a certain age, with flat hair combed back, fine features, and a rather round belly, extended his hand toward Tsuki's parents.

Akihito Koori. A tall, slender man with classic side-parted black hair and clear blue eyes, he narrowed his eyelids and looked sternly between his guest's hand and his face. The person quickly understood the message conveyed by this eye contact and shamefully lowered his hand.

Strangely, the dark-haired man's expression softened, and he raised his hand. All this was just a formality, a performance that was quickly forgotten. With a laugh that sounded curiously warm and benevolent, the man covered up any awkwardness, thus making this greeting reassuring to his guest.

As if to rectify his mistake, he bounced back and pointed to a young boy.

" Allow me to introduce my legitimate son, Kyoshi. He is the one who will lead us into a bright future by taking over our company! "

The teenager smiled proudly. With a measured, courteous gesture, he bowed respectfully before the richest family in the country. He knew he had to be precise and impressive to help his family climb higher in the social hierarchy. In his new uniform, sharing the same space as Tsuki, he had doused himself in cologne, washed his hair, and adopted a more elegant appearance than his father.

Just seeing him, getting to know him, turned Tsuki's stomach. She had spent most of her life recognizing personality traits. And this boy, her age, immediately gave off something contemptuous, unstable, unbearable.

“Pleased to meet you, Mr. and Mrs. Koori. I am Kyoshi Kuro.”

His tone was honeyed, sounding false to the ears of the teenager in front of him. The boy's father placed his hand on his son's head, smiling triumphantly. He began to offer a few words of praise about his son.

" Very sociable and with an excellent memory, he adapts very quickly to any change or complex situation. "

" So does our daughter" replied Tsuki's mother a little sharply.

Fumie Koori. A slender woman, but with an unwavering, imperturbable attitude. She had medium-length curly silver hair and a visible forehead. Her skin was snow-white, her irises brown. Her makeup was light, her eyeshadow highlighting her eyes. Her long lilac dress fit her curves perfectly, and her white fur jacket kept her warm.

Aware that his words had probably offended Akihito's wife, the guest named Kuro nodded repeatedly. His hands were getting clammy and cold sweat was running down his skin. He was completely crushed by them, willing to do anything to regain the Koori family's esteem.

For money, glory, and reputation, he was willing to make any sacrifice. Even if it meant acting like a hypocrite, a little lapdog, wagging his tail to get attention.

“Of course! Your daughter is and always will be better than my son!”

Hiding his irritation behind a forced smile, Kyoshi nodded to reinforce his mother's words. When the dark-haired man raised his head, he looked at Tsuki. She could read him perfectly. Deep in his dark eyes, she could see his anger, his indignation, his desire to explode.

To make him taste all her rage. A veritable whirlwind of hatred, with no end in sight. Standing straight, unharmed and unafraid, the white-haired girl remained speechless, although inside, she too wanted to scream. She wanted to leave. She wanted to rebel.

She couldn't. Too many risks. And the consequences would be terrible. Her every gesture, every blink of her eyelashes, every expression was watched, analyzed, measured. Even her own breath. If the young woman managed to remain so calm and composed on the outside, it was due to her years of practice. Of experience.

Sometimes, that wasn't enough.

"My son will be there to support her, to protect her if there's a problem. He's a boxing pro! I enrolled him in one of the best..._""

"As long as he's watching over Tsuki, that's all that matters to us." Akihito said firmly, a little annoyed by the term the man had used: “protect.”

" Of course!" Mr. Kuro laughed nervously, awkwardly wiping the sweat from his cheek with a handkerchief. "My son will protect her from everything! He'll be her best friend! "

The air became more tense, palpable.

Kyoshi placed his hands behind his back, smiling hypocritically. Smarter than his father, he had noticed the Koori's dark look when his father had made a mistake.

“I'll take good care of her, I promise,” he said, drawing attention to himself. As you mentioned to my father, I will keep a constant watch over her, providing a thorough and detailed report. She will not go astray... I swear it. "

His voice carried a hint of intimidation, in addition to his sidelong glance. Tsuki noticed this and frowned involuntarily. Having to respect the code of politeness in the context of their meeting, she contented herself with bowing, trying to ignore the knot forming in her stomach.

For the winged girl knew full well what awaited her in the coming years. As long as he was in her way, he would not let her breathe. And that was exactly what her parents expected.

To obey orders without question.

On that freezing morning, a most twisted encounter began for the young girl. The sun had not yet risen. And yet, it was a message, indicating how dark, cold, and heartless the person in front of her was.

Back in the present, in July 2016,

Tsuki walked cautiously on the concrete floor, staying behind and following his allies into Yuei's gamma field. His blue-gray eyes scanned every corner, on the lookout for enemy attacks.

What Kyoshi didn't seem to take into account was how much the UA students had progressed since the Yuei championship. Months had passed since then. Simply watching them on television wasn't enough to get to know them. Underestimating them would be a big mistake.

Suddenly, the dark-haired man raised his hand, signaling for everyone to freeze.

“They're getting closer. Tsuki, fly away.”

The white-haired girl spread her wings and backed away, taking a running start to take flight into the air, while avoiding the pipes that were in her way. Her movements were fluid and elegant.

“Guys, stay together. I'll stay with Sawaka.”

 “Got it!”

The other two complied without complaint. Only Lily frowned, not quite agreeing with this initiative.

“Why should I stay with you, Kuro? I'm better off on my own,” she spat, not mincing her words.

“Group cohesion,” he replied with a smirk, slipping past her. “Don't you trust me that much?”

 “Not at all.”

Her bluntness amused her classmate somewhat. He snickered and gave her a fierce look.

“You can struggle all you want, but here, you won't be able to fight. This isn't your favorite place.”

Lily was ready to retort but changed her mind, clenched her fists, and fell silent. Not because he was right, but because she saw no point in arguing with him.

Very quickly, the blue-eyed girl raised her eyebrows, reacting to a change in temperature. With her wind alter, she could more easily distinguish variations in the air under her fingertips. More sensitive to this, she immediately jumped onto a large pipe and began running along it, under the indignant gaze of the self-proclaimed leader.

 “What are you doing?!”

“Someone's using ice!” she shouted, heading in that direction.

“Damn it!” Don't rush in headfirst!!!!

Kyoshi's cry became too distant for the teenager, who sprinted forward without slowing down. Her blue hair with curly strands trailed behind her. Her heart pounding, guided by adrenaline, she was focused above all on surprising her opponents.

Todoroki Shoto. Son of Endeavor, Japan's number two. The boy knew how to wield fire and ice, proving his extraordinary strength during the Yuei Championship. He had made a big impression on many people, not only with his charm but also with his skills. Lily knew it would be difficult to defeat him.

With a strategy, it was possible. Did she have a plan?

Absolutely not.

On the other hand, improvising was something the high school student knew how to do. She jumped and climbed as high as she could on the galvanized pipes. Carefully, she slid along, avoiding making any noise with her weight or her boots. Overlooking a large part of the field, she searched with her eyes for the boy with heterochromatic eyes.

He had taken Kita by surprise. Osamu found himself in a bad position, his legs shaking, looking very frightened. Although deep down, the blue-eyed girl had no desire to help them, she had to put her differences with them aside in order to complete this exercise.

A whistle immediately caught her attention. Lily raised her cyan-blue eyes toward the signal, which she knew all too well. Tsuki, hovering in the air, was calling her, pointing in the distance with her fingers, indicating locations. This had been their method since they had joined Yorukira High School. Without speaking aloud, sign language was essential.

The blue-haired girl nodded and smiled at him. With two fingers near her skull, she responded affirmatively and saw a bright laser beam shooting up from the ground in the distance, targeting her best friend. Despite the intensity of the attack, it lacked precision and range. Without any difficulty, the teenager with gray wings dodged it.

Confident in her friend, who was much more resourceful than she appeared, Lily turned her attention back to the boy with two-toned hair.

“OK, let's be methodical,” she thought, narrowing her eyes and positioning herself to use her wind alter.

With a few short gestures, she moved the air with her palms. The wind struck several pipes, alerting Shoto, who was only a few meters away from her.

“Ahaha! She's helping us!” Osamu gloated.

“She?” Shoto repeated, perfectly calm but on the alert.

“Sawaka! The one who wields the wind!”

Exposed by her own classmate, the blue-haired girl grimaced in irritation.

“Bravo, keep going, reveal my weaknesses too, I won't tell you anything...” Lily grumbled under her breath, unhappy with this lack of maturity and discretion.

Spotted far too quickly, the aspiring heroine held her breath. Shoto had spotted her, and she barely had time to raise her arm before she immediately prepared to flee.

However, against all odds, her opponent began to call on one of his friends.

“Midoriya! West at 45 degrees!”

It was sudden.

Behind Lily, a figure had just leaped up to her height. His tousled pine-green hair floated in the air. His body, enveloped in a kind of electrifying green zigzagging around him, the boy was bending his right arm. With his fist clenched, he prepared to throw a punch.

Equally quick to react, the blue-haired girl shot him a determined look over her shoulder, letting herself relax completely on the pipe, allowing her body to duck at just the right moment, saving her from receiving a brutal blow.

Izuku's emerald green eyes widened in amazement. He was now next to her, with too many openings. With his excellent memory, All Might's disciple already predicted what would happen next with apprehension.

The blue-haired girl positioned her hands in front of her. A mini whirlwind formed between them, growing visibly.

“Reverse Tempiesta!” she shouted for her technique.

A veritable horizontal tornado had just occurred, carrying Izuku Midoriya with it. Trapped, thrown backwards, his back hit one of the pipes on the field with force. Upon contact, he let out a groan, his neck jerked, and, trapped, he felt his muscles being compressed by the power of this Alter.

Quickly spared further pain, the holder of One For All noticed that his opponent was redirecting his attack toward Shoto. His friend was struggling to use his flames—which he had only recently acquired—and was learning to use them with hindsight.

The fire, a crucial element, caused the wind to shift elsewhere. Lily gritted her teeth, cursed, backed away, and actively sought another solution.

“Damn it, Sawaka, you're useless!” Osamu yelled at her. “Kyoshi is right, you're useless here!!!”

Hearing this kind of comment outraged Izuku more than anything else. It wasn't fair. Especially since every alter was useful. With all his observations, the most accurate ones there were, the boy always managed to find the positive side. And honestly, the blue-haired girl's alter was far from useless.

It was powerful. Very powerful. It all depended on how she used it.

Offended, even though he wasn't involved, the freckled boy promised himself that after the exercise, he would go talk to this girl. To point out the advantages to her. In addition to taking more notes in his notebook and developing his knowledge of this alter. She didn't deserve such treatment.

Coming out of his stupor, Izuku was surprised to see her, perfectly calm, detached. She didn't seem to be aware of the malice. No, she was calculating her next moves to get herself out of trouble with Shoto. With such impressive composure, she quickly made her escape.

Her attempt to escape was futile. Endeavor's son slammed his hand on the ground and, in less than a few seconds, froze the ground, including the pipes. Lily almost slipped, fell heavily, and squealed in pain when her chin hit the hard, icy structure.

 “Ouch!” she whimpered.

 “Midoriya!” Shoto urged him on.

 “I know!”

Despite his aching muscles, Izuku quickly got up and hurried to run, being careful on the slippery surface. He prepared to catch her, but Lily immediately rolled over onto her back and used her legs to fight back wildly and ferociously.

She hadn't said her last word yet. And seeing her so determined fueled Izuku's adrenaline, who parried her kicks and ended up crushing her with his weight on top of her. Panting, he prepared to put her in a lock as soon as he grabbed her wrists.

What followed took his breath away and caught him off guard.

The blue-haired girl had just crossed her legs around his waist. She brought her hands to his head, her fingers getting lost in his hair. This gesture, which was too sudden and bordered on intimacy, made his cheeks flush and his heart race. Having never been so close to a girl—let alone in this position!—he began to stammer something.

His round eyes were fixed on the face of this beautiful stranger. She exuded the scent of lilacs, and her blue eyes sparkled hypnotically, as did her lips, which parted slightly. She pulled him closer to her, and, his back stiffening, the boy lost himself in the moment.

His heart raced. Every pore in his skin was tense as never before. His ears were burning too. Izuku had absolutely no experience in this matter. Everything was happening too fast, suddenly she was using her charms to...

Suddenly, he was hit hard and violently on the forehead, causing him to let out a groan, step back, and let go of his grip on the aspiring heroine.

A headbutt!

With clenched teeth, furrowed brows, and a forehead as marked as his, Lily had found a desperate trick to push him away from her. With her palms pressed against the icy pipe, she bent and unbent her right leg, propelling the boy away from her with the use of her alter, which could also be invoked by her feet.

Panting, Yorukira's student got up, staggered at first, then quickly turned on her heels, slipping occasionally, unaccustomed to the terrain.

“Sorry for the headbutt!” Lily called out to Izuku, sincerely sorry for this brutal improvisation, which must have stunned him.

And she jumped, fleeing like a thief.

The holder of the One For All, one hand on his forehead, his back against the pipe again, massaged his forehead with his hand. His heart was pounding so hard in his chest, and his cheeks were still crimson red. It had surprised him so much, bluffed him as much as it had embarrassed him. His thoughts had completely overwhelmed him, and for a brief moment, he felt like a stranger in his own body.

He sighed, feeling ashamed for having been taken in like that. He ran his gloved fingers through his hair and pursed his lips. There was no doubt about it; she had thrown him off balance. Her perfume. Her eyes. Her face expressing her desire to fight against everything. And to add to that, the way she insisted on apologizing, feeling bad for him.

This consideration, this brutal last-resort technique; he needed a few seconds to get back on his feet.

Having located her opponents, Tsuki allowed herself a dizzying dive. Her wings, folded against her, increased her speed. Having worked hard on her flying techniques, she perfectly dodged every obstacle, every pipe that blocked her path. Sometimes, with her black boots, she pushed off to jump lower.

Her pupils dilated. She had targeted her prey. Found her victims. Like a predator, she surprised her opponents. Her wings unfolded, beating the air. With her hand outstretched, she grabbed the face of the blond man in the slightly too shiny and chivalrous suit.

Imitating the attributes of birds of prey, the white woman carried her prey with her into the air, easily and naturally dodging the electric jets of another blond man.

“HELP!” Aoyama screamed, his legs kicking in the air as he rose further from the ground. “HIIIIIIII!”

“Don't worry. I'm not sadistic enough to drop you in midair,” Tsuki whispered, slightly amused by his reaction, which was understandable.

They gained altitude. Again and again, eventually towering over the entire gamma field, more than four meters above the pipes. Tsuki's gray wings flapped in the air, impressive and captivating at the same time. Having been well trained to lift heavy loads, the boy's weight was of little concern to her.

At least, for the moment. Sooner or later, his muscles would end up screaming at him to put him down.

“I SURRENDER! I SURRENDER!” I Can't Stop Twinkling quickly gave up.

 “Really?”

“YES, I ADMIT DEFEAT! PLEASE PUT ME DOWN! I... I'M AFRAID OF HEIGHTS!” he cried, in tears, losing all composure, his legs still kicking in the air. He squealed when he looked down and felt his soul leaving his body.

 “Oh dear...”

Feeling a little sorry for him, she led him to the gathering area, where his class and Yuei's class were located. Gently, she laid the blond boy down on the smooth surface, which was safer than her arms.

She felt Aizawa scrutinizing her intensely, insisting that she resume the exercise without wasting any time. Which she did. She took flight again, a small smile playing on her lips. Aoyama's reaction was understandable. He had nothing to hold on to but her. She was his “opponent,” who could let go of him to win her fight.

Something she didn't particularly see the point of.

She spotted the other two coming up to her level. The blond and the brunette, both floating in the air, before landing on one of the more stable pipes. Intrigued, Tsuki slowed her aerial movements.

“Come on, Uraraka, give it your all!” Denki said determinedly. Sorry, it's not my style to hurt a beautiful girl like you, but I want to win this match!!!

“As soon as she falls or is at our level, I'll hit her, and we'll win!” Ochaco reminded her teammate, also motivated to give it her all to succeed.

Tsuki raised an eyebrow, stopped, and hovered in place. She tilted her head to one side, a smile playing on her lips.

“Very well, I'll wait and see what you do,” she said, patient yet curious.

"..... Uraraka, it stings, but... She's beautiful! It... It would be a crime to electrocute her...!" Chargebolt emphasized, pointing his index finger at the aspiring heroine with wings, sheepishly.

“What are you talking about!? This isn't the time for that!” she exclaimed indignantly. The exercise comes first!

" Hey! Um... Koori!!! "

Surprised to be called, the person in question listened attentively and let him speak. At first, she wondered what kind of clown she had just stumbled upon. And so as not to offend him, the high school student kept her thoughts to herself, preferring not to jump to conclusions.

Denki placed his hand flat against his chest and took a moment to express his deepest regret in a comical and absurd way.

“I'm sorry! I promise to stay by your side if you end up in the infirmary bed! I'll make up for my meanness and...”

" ...That's nice, but you still haven't done anything to me. "

 An awkward silence ensued.

Without appearing overly arrogant, Tsuki narrowed her eyes and crossed her arms over her chest, looking at Ochaco, who was staring at her classmate with an embarrassed smile, unsure of how to behave. Especially since he had just introduced himself as a complete idiot. Now, Uravity was convinced that their opponent would no longer take them seriously.

Which was partly the case.

“I sympathize,” said the white-haired girl to the Yuei student with a slight smile.

Ochaco sighed, lowered her head, and thanked her flatly, under Denki's confused gaze.

“What? What are you talking about?”

To avoid further embarrassment, the aspiring heroine with zero gravity activated her power. Her fingers were covered with pink pads. A pink glow lit up and canceled out her entire weight. The brunette ended up floating in the air. Determined, she clenched her fists.

“OK, I can do it! Like Deku-kun!” she motivated herself as she moved through the air, reaching out her hand toward the winged girl.

It was a mundane plan, but it was the only one she had up her sleeve. With the martial arts techniques she had learned during her first training session with Gunhead, she knew she could surprise her opponent with them. In addition to touching her and canceling out the effects of gravity, she would win this fight.

Tsuki, with a raised eyebrow, quietly moved to the side, wondering what was next. And it almost ended up being child's play. Yorukira's student circled around Ochaco with a playful smile.

“Hmmm. That's all well and good, but what next?” Tsuki asked her with an encouraging smile.

 “Ghhh...!”

The brunette raised her leg, aiming to strike the apprentice heroine. As soon as she dodged, Ochaco saw an opening and pivoted her hips to strike that area with an uppercut. Stunned, but much more anticipatory, Tori parried it with an ease that baffled Uravity.

What followed was a breathtaking sequence of blows targeting specific points, causing the young girl to groan and retreat. Panting, she noticed that her right arm felt stiffer.

“Not bad martial arts technique,” Tsuki said calmly. “But too bad, I know quite a few tricks and my best friend is a pro in this field, her adoptive father being a master and having even taught heroes.”

Stunned, Ochaco looked at her, taking note of her words, which reflected pure truth. The points she had hit had almost blocked her. And the worst part was, she lacked strength.

Tsuki raised her hand, still flapping her wings in place, serious, showing no weakness.

" The points I touched are mainly your nerves. And incidentally, areas that cause the energy of the quirk to pulse. It softens them. Which is your case. "

" W-What?" Ochaco cried out, her mouth wide open, her eyes wide. "How did you learn that? "

Evasive, the white girl did not answer that question. She saw light on her left and dodged Denki's surprise attack with a dizzying dive.

“Uraraka! I'm coming to help you!” Denki exclaimed, determined.

“Finally, a little more action,” smiled Tsuki, delighted to see the boy struggling and taking their confrontation seriously.

Suddenly, a black spear pierced her thigh, catching her off guard. Tsuki groaned and quickly turned her head toward the shooter. The other two did the same.

Simultaneously, they all shared the same reaction.

Standing on one of the pipes was Kyoshi, a smirk on his lips. With his hand, he formed a new spear from the shadows, as strong as the first.

Hidden behind several pipes, Lily remained inconspicuous. She listened as footsteps drew nearer. The young girl had had time to disappear and reappear in the area where Osamu was still captive—and conscious—near Shoto Todoroki. The only problem was that the two-toned boy had spotted her again.

And he wasn't alone. Izuku Midoriya was actively searching for her. With One For All deployed, he moved in precise somersaults. He was the perfect eagle while Shoto was the tamer, watching from below.

The ground was frozen. The two boys understood that the blue-haired girl was uncomfortable on a slippery surface, and that had a knack for annoying the high school girl.

Relatively observant, Skyao noticed how the pipes were made. And touching the structure behind her with her fingertips, she realized that they carried gas. What kind? She had no idea. However, it gave her an idea. There were nuts. All she had to do was loosen them and she was done.

Having time to try with her fingers, she grimaced. It was futile, much too tight, and without any DIY tools, the task was more complicated. Her fingers were red.

“Damn,” she muttered. “What about my quirk?”

Concentrating, her eyebrows furrowed, she unleashed her alter. The wind formed, harsh but finer. She could materialize it, enlarge it, or reduce it as she saw fit. The blue-haired woman made a distinct gesture, as if she could turn a screw.

And it worked.

“Yes! OK, so I'll either have to deal with everything around me and...”

“Got it!” exclaimed a male voice behind her.

Lily, who had been caught off guard, jumped. She turned around quickly and took up a defensive stance.

Izuku rushed towards her, raised his leg, and powerfully smashed the pipe behind his opponent. She dodged it. The blue-haired girl placed her hands flat on the icy ground, lifted her body to the side, and kicked him with her feet. The green-haired girl had time to brace herself with her arms, protecting her side.

This girl was good at hand-to-hand combat, he had noticed. Flexible and responsive, she knew what to do and, above all, where to aim. A true fighter.

 “Uwah!”

Once again, she slipped, this time falling on her side, which allowed her to better cushion the next blow. She began to grumble loudly, clearly expressing her frustration:

" RAHHHH!! I'm sick of slippery surfaces!!! Next time, I'll ask to learn how to skate! I can't stay on my feet!"

In this case, All Might's disciple sympathized. He too had to admit that it wasn't easy for him. But hearing her outburst of indignation amused him more than he would have thought. This blue-haired girl was so lively, dynamic, even comical in a way.

Normally, he shouldn't say anything about it, but the green-haired boy couldn't help but agree with her opinion.

“Don't worry, even for me, it's not easy to move around with the ice around me...”

“Yeah, I can see that, look how your legs are wobbling!”

Exposed, Izuku blushed. He laughed nervously and ran a hand through his hair.

“Hahaha... Yes, indeed...”

A whistling sound in the air interrupted them. Lily raised her head and frowned, serious. She signaled her opponent to stop, looking grave. Intrigued, the holder of One For All watched her, wondering about the change in her expression.

There was the seriousness and determination from earlier. Now there was an annoyed pout. This time, it was something more alarming.

“What's going on?” he asked her, concerned.

 “Shit... Shit!”

Suddenly, Skyao stood up and stared at him seriously.

“Listen, let's cancel our fight! I have to find Tsuki!”

 “Excuse me?” Deku said incredulously.

“We've got our whistle signals,” she said briefly. “And that means it's not your friends who are giving her a hard time!”

Surprised, the young boy's eyes widened.

 “What do you mean?”

“That bastard decided to change the rules of the game at the last minute!”

Furious, Lily clenched her fists tightly, her blue eyes becoming brighter with anger.

There was only one person who could be attacking her best friend. And there was no way he would do it during this exercise!

Chapter 04:

Shadow walker

シャドウウォーカー

Shadouu~ōkā

It was unexpected. Violent.

A shadow spear thrown by Kyoshi at her own teammate struck her, lacerating her right arm, after the first one had been planted in her thigh.

It was the beginning of a real downfall, a real madness.

Yorukira High School had just revealed to everyone the extent of its disrespect. That there were no limits. Even the teacher didn't seem to express the slightest grimace. He simply remained neutral, arms crossed, which did nothing to reassure the spectators.

“Why did you do that?!” Mina exclaimed in horror.

“It's unbelievable! They're all on the same team!” exclaimed Eijiro, outraged. “It was deliberate!”

Sensei, is he allowed to do that?” asked Ojiro, a little disarmed to see him reacting no more than that.

Without deigning to glance at his first-year student, Eraserhead replied casually:

“Unfortunately, they have every right to.”

He took note of what he saw, while nevertheless stealing glances at the head teacher of the sophomore class at Yorukira High School. Of course, the dark-haired boy understood his students' collective indignation.

Attacking an ally was not worthy of a hero, but from his point of view, if this girl was not capable of dealing with a traitor, she was no more worthy than this boy of becoming one.

So the adult continued to watch closely, making sure not to miss a single important detail in this confrontation that had arisen out of nowhere.

For her part, Tsuki recognized the attack. She automatically pressed her hand to her wound, her gray wings beating cautiously as she turned around. Kyoshi smiled sadistically at her, satisfied.

“But... what did he just do to her?” Denki exclaimed, frustrated.

“He just attacked her!” But why? Ochaco wondered, as stunned as he was.

The winged student brought her fingers to her lips and began to whistle loudly, hoping that her message would be heard from a distance by the right person. Her classmate—and not ally—snickered and formed a new spear from his right palm.

“Well, well, Hime, who are you calling? Your pet?” the dark-haired boy mocked.

Since middle school, Kyoshi Kuro had never liked or truly appreciated anyone. He criticized everything. He placed himself at the top of the ladder, believing himself to be king. Given his wealth, his spoiled brat personality, and his bullying tendencies, no one had the courage to stand up to him.

No one except Tsuki Koori and Lily Sawaka.

Keeping his cool in a way that was almost impressive to everyone, Tsuki corrected him with unparalleled coldness; his pupils narrowed, conveying a deep judgment from above.

"Best friend. Speak better of her if you don't want to come back with your tongue cut out, although I must admit, that would bring us peace. "

Kyoshi's smile widened. Definitely amused by her response to his provocation, he moved closer, but was called out by the two Yuei students, who were also on a pipe nearby. One of them took a risk and dove down, reaching his hands out. Instantly, electric rays zigzagged dangerously in all directions.

“Hey, man! You don't hurt a girl like that!” Denki lectured him.

Despite his heroic action, he couldn't foresee the next blow aimed at him. Kyoshi threw his shadow spear at him with great precision. The tip pierced his shoulder, and with superhuman strength, pulled him backwards until he was hanging from a pipe, his shoulder wounded and trapped, under Ochaco's terrified gaze.

She, too, was unlucky enough to be caught in the crossfire.

Tsuki growled and lunged toward the dark-haired man, determined to stop him, even if it meant their team losing. This guy was acting impulsively, which was not good. If he continued, he could make the situation even worse.

The aspiring heroine stretched out her arm, ready to grab him by the collar. But before she could even touch him, Kyoshi grabbed her wrist firmly to stop her from moving. To keep from being lifted off the unstable pipe, he had activated his alter to plant his spear beneath him.

Thus, even with the power of Tsuki's wings, Kyoshi won this struggle with his own physical strength. His muscles, more developed than those of his comrade, allowed him to remain still and hold her back, pulling her closer to him. With a conquering smile, he prepared to whisper something to her when an abnormal wind occurred, interrupting him.

" Let her go!!!"

A violent gust of wind propelled him backwards, the force causing him to lose his grip on his captive's wrist and his spear. His body was brutally thrown back, smashing one pipe in two and slightly denting the second with his weight.

Gasping for breath, Lily landed on one of the large pipes, staying close to her ally, who was flapping his wings, gaining as much momentum as possible.

"Leelo-chan!" Tsuki smiled.

"Sorry to keep you waiting, Tsu-chan! I did it as fast as I could! "

The blue-haired girl gave her an encouraging smile and quickly stood up, clenched her fists, and stared at the boy who had dared to hurt her best friend.

Not far from them, Izuku watched them. He had followed Lily closely after she asked him to postpone their fight because there was a more urgent matter to deal with. The holder of One For All had time to assess the damage, from his friend with zero gravity altering Denki to the injuries of the silver-haired girl...

It must be said, he hadn't expected this guy to attack them. And what was he supposed to do? They were on the opposing side, these girls were his opponents, he had to neutralize them, now.

But... was it fair to attack two girls who already had their comrades as “enemies”? Would it be fair for him to attack them when they were relieved to see that the other was okay? A hero always had to be on guard, but in this case... No, it would be unfair for him to attack them now, no matter what Eraserhead said.

Izuku sighed. They were probably going to lose, but he knew his friends would approve of his decision not to betray these girls.

Shoto finally joined him, surfing on an icy wave. He leaped and reached him without difficulty. Lagging behind the others, he tried to understand the extent of the current problem.

" What's going on? "

"Their comrade has just betrayed them..." All Might's disciple explained.

"But why?"

A low growl caught everyone's attention.

Kyoshi was coming out of his hole. Several gases were escaping from the punctured pipes, and the black man was massaging his skull, where a trickle of blood had just flowed. His veins visible, his face red with anger and humiliation, he spat out violently and hatefully:

"SAWAKA, YOU FILTHY PEST!!!!! "

Surprisingly, the person in question placed her hand over her mouth, looked away, and smiled almost mockingly and euphorically.

"Oh shit, I shouldn't be happy that I hurt him, but... it's seriously satisfying... "

"You have every right, Leelo-chan." Tsuki confirmed with a smile. "But now he's going to get serious, so get ready. "

" I'm waiting for him. "

Both serious and relieved to be truly working as a team, they were ready for the counterattack.

Suddenly, Tsuki signaled to her friend to look to her right.

Osamu, for some strange reason—even though he had been stuck with Shoto Todoroki earlier!—was back. And Shoto had just used his Quirk, “Shadow Veil,” on Ochaco and Denki. This involved stretching their clothes so long that they tore, making the fabric so flexible that it could be used to tie up his opponents at the desired length. The two Yuei students found themselves trapped in a custom-made cocoon.

Of course, his hero suit was made with the best fibers, so that he couldn't run out of thread—and end up naked, incidentally.

The girls grumbled together, annoyed.

Kyoshi had the “Shadow Lance” alter, which consisted of forming as many spears as he wanted, of any length or weight. Obviously, there were repercussions, but none of them knew what they were. Between him and his henchman—and Kita, who had been knocked out by Shoto—they formed the “Shadow Walker” trio.

A name invented by the leader of the group.

“What the hell are you playing at?!” Lily yelled, positioning herself to engage in combat.

“Who knows? Maybe I just want to make sure you stay where you belong, in the mud,” Kyoshi declared, moving closer.

The remaining Yuei boys frowned at this cruel and senseless response.

“You're really stupid. We're supposed to be working as a team, and you're attacking us. Are you willing to risk your place to throw a wrench in our plans?!”

"I thought about it, what do you think?! They told us to work as a team, they never said to work with the WHOLE team, and it doesn't change much. After all, when there are dead weights in a group, it's better to get rid of them!" Kyoshi laughed sadistically. "Right, Hime? "

Tsuki clicked her tongue against her palate and stared at him. Completely disagreeing with his words, she didn't hesitate to spit out openly:

" Do I have to agree with you just to convince you that you're not alone? If you want my honest opinion, you're a dirty hypocrite!"

Noticing Kyoshi's reddened, distorted face, the blue-gray-eyed girl waved her hand, calling him to fight, her gaze expressing no empathy towards him.

It was no longer time to play. Nor to exercise, strictly speaking.

“Are they really going to fight?!” Hanta wondered.

“Aizawa-sensei, you have to stop them!” Kyoka cried out.

“....”

“Aizawa-sensei?!”

Once again, the teacher said nothing, content to stare at the screen.

He pondered, ignoring the constant whining from his class. It was true that these weren't the rules he had set. But after all, this would still allow him to assess the abilities of those students who were already standing out. He might as well let them do as they pleased; it wouldn't stop him from punishing them for breaking the rules.

Even if Yorukira's teacher didn't seem to think the same way. On the contrary, he seemed... curious, amused? It was impossible to understand him. And Shota Aizawa wouldn't let it go if he didn't reprimand the teenagers.

Everything spiraled out of control.

The two Shadow Walkers began working as a team, alternating perfectly between defense and attack. One placed his shadow veil to counter attacks, and the second threw his dark spears. The two Yorukira girls found themselves in a bad position. Tsuki couldn't play the diversion, and Kyoshi could send a multitude of weapons in a matter of seconds. As for Lily, she didn't want to risk going into close combat and ending up tied up like Denki and Ochaco earlier. So her wind-based techniques had to be manipulated with precision.

And even with a vertical tornado, the two boys didn't move. They had found a trick.

" We have to get rid of Kuro first, we won't have a chance if he helps Osamu! "

"Hmm..." Tsuki turned toward the two Yuei students, who were watching the confrontation. "Hey, you two! Todoroki, shoot a flame at the shadow veil! And you..." She was referring to Izuku, having forgotten his name, even though his face was familiar to her from the Yuei championship. "Could you attack them head-on, like you did in the tournament?"

Both nodded, agreeing to give them a hand.

Shoto summoned flames and, with his arm, launched a burning jet, which considerably weakened Osamu's shadow veil. With the same momentum and speed, Izuku activated his Quirk to its maximum potential. His muscles contracted, and a power still far too great for him manifested itself in every fiber of his being. Nevertheless, aware of how to gauge this force, he positioned himself.

He waited.

He focused on his targets. And he lunged, shouting an audible “Smash!” His fist, brutal and ferocious, broke through the Shadow Walkers' lines of defense. Osamu took the blow directly to the stomach, his veil also torn. Yorukira's student, stunned and battered, spat the remains of his breakfast into the air. His pupils rolled and, defeated, his legs gave way and he fell stiffly to the more stable and cold surface of the training ground.

Gasping for breath, Izuku was surprised that he wasn't feeling any aftereffects. Slowly but surely, he was managing to master One For All, and that made him happy deep down. All Might was probably proud of his progress. Even if he still had a long way to go.

His joy was short-lived.

Kyoshi attacked him with unbridled fury. He impaled him on his spear, but only in the shoulder of the boy with pine-green hair. Holding back a groan, Deku gritted his teeth, faced him, eyebrows furrowed, completely unfazed.

“You filthy vermin, why didn't you break your fucking bones?! You were the weakest during the Yuei championship!” Kyoshi spat at him, his eyes red.

“I've had time to improve, you know,” Izuku retorted, offended.

“Hey, back off! Now!”

Following Yorukira's student's advice, Izuku hurriedly moved to the side. Suddenly, another gust of wind blew Kyoshi off his feet. He let out a cry of surprise.

“Your turn, Tsu-chan!”

It all happened so fast.

Perfectly accustomed to her best friend's tantrums, even knowing where to dive without hurting her gray wings, Tsuki entered this infernal circle, grabbed the boy by the throat, and lifted him into the air. The higher she flew, the less anyone could see them, except for the spectators with their screens broadcasting everything via cameras.

The tension was palpable.

The teenager's complexion went through several stages of color. He gestured wildly, without any support to help him breathe. The aspiring heroine tightened her grip—without killing him. She stared at him, determined to lecture him.

But nothing would change. She knew that.

Some people never changed.

" Enough playing games, Kyoshi. Stop messing around. Give up and use your brain if you have one! "

A twisted laugh escaped her prey. The boy gave her a look filled with hatred that had been building since their middle school years. He had hated her so much since they first met. This girl, from a rich family, perfect, but at the same time twisted.

She was the kind of princess who, in his eyes, was waiting to be rescued. Spoiled, never happy, never satisfied. To get attention, she played the role of a distant, unhappy girl, even though she had no reason to be. That was his view of Tsuki Koori.

" I have to admit" he managed to say, his hands resting on Tsuki's wrist, "you played the Yuei guys well in your game. "

Surprised by this twisted thought, the white girl frowned.

" But you overlooked one thing about me. "

“Who is...?”

“My quirk. Shadow Lance. He has other special abilities.”

In a confession heard only by her, he whispered:

“I can also create them from every corner of the shadows...”

And then, Tsuki quickly caught on to the implication.

Panicked, the apprentice heroine let go of Kyoshi, completely forgetting about her in her long fall. A cry of pain reached the young girl's ears, chilling her blood. She hurriedly dove down, wings folded. Thanks to her excellent vision, Tsuki saw her.

Her best friend. Impaled. In the thighs. In the hands. Arms. In the side. She was still standing, moaning in pain, trapped by the spears that had sprung from the shadows; hers. As panicked as she was, Izuku helped her free herself.

“Oh my God, Lily!”

As if trying to reassure her, even as blood flowed from her deep wounds and her costume became stained with metallic red, the blue-haired girl gave her a strong smile, panting, limping on one leg. The holder of One For All helped her move.

" Don't worry... I'm tough... "

“You need to rest quickly, this isn't good for you!” Tsuki panicked, immediately protective of her, her hands reaching out to her.

“Careful!”

Another surprise attack.

Shoto reacted quickly, creating a wall of ice to protect them from the next spear attacks. The spears multiplied, dangerous and hungry. On his guard, the boy with two-toned hair advised his allies, looking at them over his muscular shoulder.

" Take cover quickly! "

" Can you move? Sorry if it hurts! "

Delicate with the wounded girl, Izuku placed his hand on the blue-haired girl's waist. They quickly decamped, moving away from the corner.

It was futile.

Kyoshi reappeared, massaging his neck and cracking his joints with a psychopathic smile. The dark-haired man had a feeling of superiority as he watched their fearful, desperate reaction to flee from him.

The boy raised his arms, his hands taking on a dark glow, a sign that he was activating his Alter. Lily frowned, moved away from Izuku, grimaced as she had to put weight on both feet, but refused to let the sharp pain distract her.

“Hey,” she said, staring at Shoto Todoroki, “can you use your flames?”

“Yes...”

“Okay, perfect. Let's go!”

Quickly understanding, Shoto complied and attacked. Yorukira's student used her wind power, which combined with his, creating a tornado of fire. Spreading her legs and, even more so, her arms, the young girl enlarged the improvised technique more and more in a circular motion.

However, she did not hit her target, as the wind was partially deflected by Endeavor's son's flames.

Almost hysterical, Kyoshi could not resist mocking them openly, pointing at them and ridiculing them.

“Ahahaha! What is this?! You can't even touch me! It's totally useless!”

“You think so?” Lily smiled, a mischievous gleam in her cyan-blue eyes.

Without giving him time to react, Izuku and Tsuki lunged at him.

Kyoshi Kuro's eyes dropped, as if he had just been struck by lightning. The ground. The shadows.

The combined technique of wind and flames repelled the darkness. A dance of embers, repelling the persistent darkness that was his favorite territory. The teenager's heart began to beat painfully in his chest, and his breath caught in his throat as he realized what was happening.

He had overlooked this option.

They had trapped him.

And with far too much delay, Kyoshi was unable to defend himself against Izuku Midoriya's powerful fist, which struck him like a hammer across the face. The dark-haired boy groaned in pain, his nose broken and bleeding. And there, after the intervention of the Yuei student, was she.

Tsuki Koori.

Her eyes narrowed, piercing with unrestrained rage, and she too had her fist clenched. And in turn, she delivered a brutal uppercut, causing him to accidentally bite his tongue hard. His stomach was then attacked by a kick, and he took another kick, a thousand times more painful, from Deku, at his side.

An audible crack was heard, and felt. His rib had just cracked.

In a final blow, Tsuki knocked him out with a kick to the skull after leaping into the air, her gray wings flapping to gain momentum. And this time, Kyoshi Kuro was truly defeated, knocked out.

“Wohooo! You nailed that final blow!” her best friend congratulated her, leaning on Shoto's shoulder and raising her fist in victory.

With a satisfied smile, Tsuki smiled back at her before immediately frowning when she noticed Lily's reaction. She was starting to feel dizzy, blood was flowing from her nostril, and she was losing her balance.

Immediately, the winged girl rushed to take her in her arms.

"Leelo-chan! "

“I think... the combined attack... has exhausted me...” moaned her friend, her hand on her forehead. “My vision is blurry, ahah...”

“Can you still hold on?” Tsuki asked worriedly. “Our... exercise isn't over yet, and...”

Lily's body temperature was burning hot. Surprised, Tsuki continued to touch her friend's face with her fingertips, anxious. She knew that using wind, depending on the degree, had an impact on the user, just like the air. The blue-haired girl could manipulate gases, but it could easily be dangerous for her.

And with Shoto Todoroki's flames, she had paid the price. Fire removes oxygen from the air, producing hot gases that drive out the air.

Obviously, this was dangerous for Lily. She was much more sensitive than anyone else.

Observing this, Izuku was very worried about Shoto. Neither of them knew what to do. Should they really resume the exercise as if nothing had happened? It was really bad timing.

"Please, fight with all your might... "

Tsuki only had time to protest before Lily collapsed, immediately losing consciousness, her body, far too heavy, slipping from her arms. Supported by the winged girl, the blue-haired girl breathed weakly, her face dripping with sweat.

Why should she fight when her best friend was in such bad shape? She needed to get treatment quickly!

With clenched fists, accepting Lily's request, she gently laid her on the ground.

If Tsuki gave up, she knew full well that her best friend would feel guilty or scold her. So she would do it. She would fight to the end, with Lily's will.

Spreading her wings, ready to gain altitude, Tori was suddenly held back. Something cool kept her in place. She immediately looked down and was surprised. Since when had this block of ice been there? And above all, how could she have forgotten Shoto Todoroki?

He was putting her in a difficult position.

And yet, the boy with different-colored eyes was incredibly gentle and concerned. He sighed, admitting that he didn't enjoy using these methods, but if it meant finishing the exercise quickly... On that point, Tsuki couldn't blame him.

" Thank you for your concern, Todoroki. But I will fight to the end!"

She took a dagger from the bag around her waist. She began to smash the block of ice that held her prisoner until it cracked. Meanwhile, she began to sweep the two boys away with the power of her wings, pushing the air towards them.

Izuku stood with his legs bent, his right arm in front of him to protect his eyes. For Shoto, he had to use drastic measures, reinforcing the block until it was completely frozen, except for the winged girl's head.

And with the announcement from the loudspeakers, the exercise was over.

Quickly freed and escorted back to the higher ground where the rest of the students and teachers were, Tsuki immediately accompanied the robots programmed for rescue, taking her best friend to the Yuei infirmary. She had not regained consciousness, and seeing her suffer so much broke her heart.

Sensei, I want to go with her!” she pleaded with her teacher, worried.

“You're fine, there's no need to follow her,” he objected.

He sighed and even scratched his hair, looking annoyed.

“Seriously, this girl is oblivious to danger, and this is what happens to her!”

“Excuse me?”

Having to repeat himself seemed to annoy him. Yorukira's teacher stared at his best student, even with all the respect he had for the Koori family.

"I said she was completely oblivious, throwing herself into suicidal ideas. And you still lost."

"Are you implying that it's because of her that we lost?" Tsuki wanted to clarify, her throat becoming dry.

"Of course, she should have reacted more logically, with more perspective! "

Tsuki's voice died away. Her breath caught in her throat and she felt a fire burning inside her. The young girl clenched her fists, repulsed by this kind of reasoning.

Until now, this teacher seemed to care little about his aspiring hero students. He was an unknown hero, of low rank. She had sometimes overheard him complaining that he wasn't ranked in the top 50 heroes in Japan. He taught because it allowed him to earn extra income from his part-time job as a hero.

His agency received few requests, but apparently, the Hero Safety Commission had demanded more work or risked having to shut down his agency. There was no shortage of heroes on the streets. On the contrary, it had become a fad. A trend that everyone already took for granted.

But from there, to judge that her best friend, who was willing to do anything to win against a psychopathic classmate who betrayed them for pure pleasure, didn't fit the profile of a hero? Where was the world headed?

This kind of mentality drove Tsuki crazy. She was dying to put this man in his place. To yell at him. Even if it meant using her nails to scratch his throat, to scream at him everything she thought of him.

Lily Sawaka deserved to be a hero. She had everything it took. She had even sacrificed her dream of going to Yuei to stay by his side! Kyoshi had hurt her badly!

And he wasn't facing any punishment?!

" I would ask you to please sit down without making a fuss from now on, Koori. "

" And what about the student who caused trouble during the exercise? "

A male voice spoke up. Tsuki quickly raised her head and her heart beat rapidly in her chest. Attentive, she watched silently, like the other students, who were witnessing this interaction between the teachers from Yuei and Yorukira.

The air became electric, palpable, to such an extent that some felt very small in the presence of the two adults facing each other.

“Are you talking about Kuro Kyoshi?”

“As far as I know, there aren't thirty students with that name.” Eraserhead interjected sharply, his tone heavy with reproach. "Not only had he taken it upon himself to attack two serious students, but he had also distorted the rules. "

“Why didn't you react?” Yorukira's second-year teacher slipped in, arms crossed. He raised his chin slightly, striking an almost condescending posture.

“I wanted to see how events would unfold, how these girls would manage,” Aizawa Shota explained calmly, staring at him. "And as far as I know, they were resourceful. It's true that the student who ended up in the infirmary made a risky decision, but sometimes a hero has to take difficult initiatives and make sacrifices. However, she did not break any rules, unlike Kuro Kyoshi. "

Completely amazed by her favorite hero's intervention, Tsuki stood back, stunned and grateful at the same time. He was going to set the record straight and make sure Kyoshi was punished, who would get away without being reprimanded.

Justice would be served after all.

The teenager thought she noticed a discreet but present smile on the lips of Izuku Midoriya, standing alongside his classmates. He too was on edge after hearing the words of the Yorukira teacher. He had been truly touched by Lily's determination, and after the blows she had received, she did not deserve to be cast aside and blamed for the incident.

And the idea that Aizawa did not intend to let Kyoshi go unpunished was a real relief, inwardly. At least that would lighten things up a bit. He hoped so.

“He doesn't need punishment. I'll give it to him tomorrow.”

“Curious. I would have given it to him now. If you don't be more convincing, don't be surprised if he doesn't progress by learning from his mistakes." Eraserhead objected, using a more serious and accusatory tone.

The adult's face flushed. His nerves relaxed and he began to shake uncontrollably.

“What... Are you criticizing my teaching methods?!”

“They're in their teens,” the dark-haired man reminded him curtly, his eyebrows furrowed, his hands buried in the pockets of his hero costume. “They're still seeds. They have potential, but they need guidance to blossom properly. This isn't the playground anymore. And above all, their future is in your hands. You're tarnishing them by neglecting that. These are lives. Minors who are discovering the dangers of the hero profession. It's up to you to guide them. If you don't know how to set up this system, you should go back to doing internships as provisional holders."

The ranks were offended. But they remained discreet.

Tenya stiffened and whispered to his friends.

" I've never seen him so angry. "

" At the same time... It's understandable." Izuku whispered quietly. "Yorukira's teacher also makes mistakes, and what Aizawa-sensei is raising is important. "

" They're not going to fight, are they?" Ochaco asked, uneasy.

“If they do, I'm voting for our teacher.” Denki whispered.

“Same here, he's ruthless.” Mineta agreed.

The two adults stared at each other. The tension did not dissipate at all.

And Eraserhead had no intention of letting the matter drop anytime soon.

Chapter 05:

Kindness

親切

Shinsetsu

Tsuki was finally allowed to see her best friend.

After managing to get permission from her teacher—still in conflict with Eraserhead, despite the rest of the exercises being for the others—the white girl had no desire to leave Lily alone.

Being away from her hurt too much. She much preferred being by her side, at her bedside, to be there when she woke up. At least she was away from the heavy atmosphere between the two adults at the gamma field. She had been able to acquire bandages on the fly, which had allowed her to dress her wound—just like Izuku's.

U.A was so huge that she would have gotten lost if Izuku hadn't offered to guide her. It wasn't his role; normally, it was more the class representative's job to do this kind of thing; however, he hadn't done today's exercise. So, All Might's disciple had offered to help.

He, too, was worried about Lily. He seemed very empathetic and concerned, which reassured Tsuki a lot. Usually, no one cared about her friend. Or maybe it was out of hypocrisy. This freckled boy seemed more sincere, which eased the winged girl's conscience.

They were both silent. Their footsteps echoed in the school hallway. To break it up, uncomfortable with this lack of conversation, the green-haired boy tentatively spoke.

" H-Hmm... How long have you known each other?"

" Since fifth grade, in middle school."

" I see..."

Another silence.

Izuku thought, anxious to do the right thing.

" You two are very close. You even have your signals! I mean, your friend immediately recognized the danger with your whistling while I was confronting her!"

A smile formed at the corner of Tsuki's lips at this mention.

" We each have our own methods. In fact, we both wanted to become heroes. Lily has always been enthusiastic, and the whistling system came from her. And yet, at first, she couldn't even whistle with her fingers; it was funny to see her pouts!"

To share this memory with her surprised her. Usually, she wasn't the type to confide like that. The gray-winged teenager hid her embarrassment by running her hand through her sleek silver locks. She looked away, but heard the delicate but sincere chuckle of the U.A. student.

"It must have been a disappointment for her at first!"

"Oh yes... So much so that she left me reports the next day, telling me she'd practiced at home to succeed," Tsuki confirmed softly, her eyes closed.

These kinds of memories were so precious to her.

Her friendship with the blue-haired girl was one of the things that made her life more colorful.

"So it's true? Were you accepted into U.A.? Did you pass the entrance exam?" the One For All holder asked.

"Yes... My parents are more demanding, which is why I ended up in Yorukira. Lily wanted to follow me. She gave up U.A. to be with me..."

"It's truly admirable and touching. Such a display of friendship..." Izuku smiled honestly.

"Yeah. She deserves so much happiness_

"TSUKIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!

The two teenagers tensed at the scream. At a corner of the corridor, a familiar figure appeared before their astonished eyes.

Wearing several bandages, also over her hero costume, one around her head, Lily looked alert, her cheeks flushed. The most surprising thing about all this was that she had just moved without any difficulty. The blue-haired girl pointed in one direction, her brows furrowed, and explained, a little too quickly for her best friend's liking.

When her friend behaved like this, it was a sign of nervousness.

"You'll never believe this!" Lily exclaimed briskly. "I woke up and guess what! A grandma kissed my forehead! And! Poof! I feel better!? Who's she?! An old magical girl?!"

Continuing in her excess, panicked and embarrassed, the teenager with the wind quirk placed her hands on her bandaged forehead.

"Please, please, reassure me I don't have a lipstick mark on my forehead!!!??"

It was too much to take in. Tsuki burst out laughing, turning her head, her arms folded around her stomach. She reassured her, wiping her tears from the corners of her lips. Beside her, Izuku chuckled, also amused by this innocent reaction.

"No, Leelo-chan, you don't have a mark."

"Ahhhh, thank God!"

"The one you saw was Recovery Girl…" Izuku clarified, between chuckles.

"Recovery who?"

"Recovery Girl. She's the school nurse… Her Quirk allows her to heal through her… kisses,” the young boy added with a shy smile.

Suddenly very serious, Lily pointed at her lips with her index finger.

" Not all over my body, reassure me, nor my lips?"

" Not at all!!! Just on my cheek or forehead!"

He looked away, grimacing at her recollection of his experiences.

" At least, that's how she did it with me." He mused, unwilling to mention this detail to the girls.

" ...."

" Leelo-chan? Are you okay?" Tsuki remarked.

" Uh? I feel..... suddenly tired....."

The aftermath.

Her body faltered, and Izuku quickly rushed towards her, catching her as she fell. Heart pounding, he supported her, his gloved hands clinging to the blue-haired girl's shoulders. Her lilac scent tickled his nostrils, and he tried to ignore it. Her eyelashes fluttered, confused by his condition.

Gently, he advised her to return to the infirmary to rest. The holder of One For All accompanied her, closely followed by Tsuki.

Knocking on the door at first, opening it, the tenth-grade students were given a very poor reception. Recovery Girl, small in stature despite her advanced age, began to yell at them, especially Lily. She waved her cane, stabbing him in the thigh where she had been injured.

"I've never seen anything like this in my entire career!" she growled. "Where did a patient jump out of bed after a treatment I was performing?!"

"OUCH!" Lily squealed. "My thigh!"

"Recovery Girl, please!" Izuku tried to stop her. With a protective gesture, he pushed the blue-haired woman back.

"We'd like her to be able to rest on a bed. Is that possible?" Tsuki asked politely, her hands clasped in front of her.

The nurse looked her over. With a serious expression, she immediately recognized who she was dealing with, across the table.

"Well, then. Tsuki Koori."

"You... knew me?" she asked in surprise.

"It's hard not to recognize the Koori's daughter when you're notified of your arrival."

This remark made Tsuki's stomach churn. She simply remained silent and lowered her eyes. Izuku helped Lily lie down on an empty bed and took a seat at an available bedside table. Initially, he had offered his seat to the winged girl, but she had refused.

Just to start a conversation, Izuku nervously parted his lips. His emerald orbs juggled between his intertwined fingers and Lily's silhouette sitting on the bed.

She was so beautiful, despite her bandages. Her beautiful shoulder-length ocean blue hair, its curly tips. Her cyan blue eyes, so clear, so bright. Her curves. Her thighs. Her delicate face, her lips... And that incredible scent that emanated from her.

Blushes rose on his cheeks, surprising himself by admiring her like that. Immediately, he lost all means of starting a conversation.

"By the way, thank you. For your help and that of your classmates," Lily began with a smile.

"You're welcome... I thought what happened to you was unfair."

"Tell me your name again?"

"M-Midoriya Izuku!"

"Thanks again, Midoriya!"

That smile, so sweet, so soothing, made him blush even more. It was almost as if Lily was the only one who knew the recipe. Heart pounding, the young boy then lowered his eyes, fiddled with his fingers, wavering between the idea of returning to the others and getting to know them better.

During their little exchange, Tsuki leaned against a wall, listening to them in silence, arms crossed, smiling, and remaining in the background.

"Hmm," Lily said thoughtfully.

"A problem?" Izuku asked.

"What happened while I was unconscious?"

"Koori-san fought valiantly until the end. We won the fight... And... Our teachers are in conflict."

"About Kuro?"

"Sort of", he agreed, "but Aizawa-sensei didn't really like... well, your... teacher's parenting method."

Knowing that Eraserhead was standing up for them made her smile. That adult was so cool, professional. Tsuki was right to like him. He was a very clean man in every way.

Lily lowered her head, nervously rubbing the back of her neck, looking guilty, afterward, thinking back to the exercise.

" By the way, sorry about earlier. About the headbutt..."

" Huh!? But don't apologize, that was a very... surprising technique! And you did very well!"

" A surprising technique? The headbutt? " The blue-haired girl pointed out with a wry smile, amused.

The blush already present on the teenager's cheeks deepened. He stammered awkwardly, gesticulated nervously with his arms, and finally looked away from her, scratching his cheek, with a small, shy smile.

Meanwhile, Tsuki had finally moved away from them, giving them a more private moment; she made sure to close the door behind her.

" Y-You heard me!"

" Ah!" She laughed softly. "You're funny, reacting like that to just a headbutt! I didn't move a single brain cell, did I?"

" N-Not at all!" Izuku panicked, blushing even more if he couldn't, looking her straight in the eyes. "Ah! And your martial arts techniques are very effective too and...! AH!"

Realizing he finally had time to do something, the young boy with tousled, fir-green hair came out of nowhere and brandished his notebook. Inside, contained his entire passion for analysis: Quirks. The high school student also took out a pen, actively turned the pages, picked up a blank one, and pressed the tip of his pen to the sheet. His eyes shining, determined to learn, he paid attention.

It had been his passion for several years. Something he held dear to his heart despite being told he was Quirkless. And even after receiving One For All from All Might, he couldn't stop writing everything down in his notebook. He had so many in his possession and it wasn't over yet.

"Could you tell me more about your Quirk, Sawaka-san?" he asked, filled with such intense passion that it unsettled the blue-haired girl.

"Huh?"

"Ah, of course, if... if it doesn't bother you." He corrected himself with an embarrassed smile, understanding her reaction.

A little perplexed at first, after careful consideration, Lily gave him permission. She began to talk to him about "Wind." Its advantages, its disadvantages. Like what had happened to her with the aftereffects of the flames.

With great enthusiasm, Izuku jotted down notes as quickly as possible. But to his surprise, the blue-haired girl waited kindly, giving him a little more time so he wouldn't forget. The teenager didn't look at him askance or seem bothered. She accepted his hobby without any judgment.

Katsuki's hateful words resurfaced. The holder of One For All tensed, his eyes narrowed. His usually gentle voice conveyed a certain heaviness, a weight he hadn't been able to forget. His childhood friend's torment was still fresh in his mind. For many years, Izuku had been trying to forgive the ash-blonde.

It was impossible to pretend nothing had happened. The bullying had eaten away at him for many years. The mockery. The belittling. The physical blows. Despite all that, he still admired his childhood friend. Felt this urge to measure herself against him. To progress alongside him. To prove herself.

"Sawaka-san... Be honest with me. You too... Do you think I'm a degenerate nerd when I'm taking notes on your Quirk?"

This question was close to his heart. He wanted the truth and nothing else. His breathing was getting heavier and his thoughts were racing.

His classmates accepted him as he was. But his habit of writing so energetically, mumbling under his breath, was a bit of a turnoff. They all looked at him with an embarrassed smile. But they stayed out of respect. And he sincerely feared that it would have an impact on those around him.

Izuku Midoriya didn't want to lose that light. These people who were so precious to him. His life had changed dramatically since meeting All Might. His daily life had taken on more color. He felt as if he'd been dealt a shining hand, lifting him from the abyss. Offering him a second chance, to prove himself, to realize the dreams they were trying to crush.

Because that was all he had to keep him going in this life. Apart from his own mother, no one had taken the time to listen to him. To hear his suffering. Everyone turned their backs on him, branding him a defective boy, a "quirkless person useless to this society."

This happened very rarely to him. But behind his smiles, his kindness, his strength, his will, there was still a hidden fragility.

"If you're a degenerate nerd, then I'm a girl who needs to be looked after."

Lily's response took him by surprise.

Izuku raised his head and looked at her. She wore a smile filled with empathy and sadness. She lifted her hand and massaged his forehead. And immediately, the young boy noticed the girl's nails. They were bitten and red.

"I think it's important to have a passion, a hobby in life. It's like dreaming. Without it, you could go crazy. Life would be monotonous and colorless..."

Yorukira's student looked at him and gave him a gentle, encouraging smile.

"For me, you're not a degenerate nerd. You can ask me as many questions as you want. I'll answer them."

"R-Really?" He breathed, touched.

"Of course. It makes me happy!"

She gave him a toothy smile. She accepted him as he was, didn't have that embarrassed air.

No, she was being natural.

Heart pounding, mind lighter, and no longer having any doubts, All Might's disciple took the time to take his notes, staying with her for a short while in the infirmary before leaving her alone and returning to the others.

At Aizawa Shota's orders, the students went to the locker room, leaving the two adults to talk. There was still that heavy, electric atmosphere between them. Tsuki, naturally curious—and also worried about how their conversation was going—spied on them from behind a wall, discreet as a mouse.

They had left the gamma field. They found themselves face to face on campus. Behind them, the infernal song of the cicadas could be heard.

"Are you satisfied? To humiliate me in front of my students and yours?!" the furious Yorukira teacher accused.

"I only pointed out what was wrong, before others copied the actions of the disruptive student," Shota defended himself, arms crossed, brows furrowed.

"That's not manners!"

"No point pretending shocked if you're incapable of doing your job."

This time, Eraserhead sighed. It was hot, and this story was starting to get on his nerves. Meeting such an irresponsible, thoughtless adult was driving him mad. However, the dark-haired man knew how to remain calm; he measured every reaction from the man in front of him. He was furious.

Obviously, the humiliation and that speech weren't enough to make him question his position.

"You... You don't know anything about my methods! They're exemplary! I even had the chance to meet the Koori family at school during the parent-teacher conference!"

"And I have to applaud you for something trivial?" Shota retorted curtly, completely unimpressed. "U.A. has trained great heroes. If you want to play this childish game, I suggest you go brag online. Because once again, you're making a fool of yourself."

With an icy stare, undaunted, the homeroom teacher of Year 10 A added:

"Whether or not she comes from a wealthy and well-known family, I evaluate their adaptation, their performance both on the field and in writing. I train future heroes without favoritism."

Before leaving with these words, he concluded:

"And Koori encountered difficulties but was able to hold on until the end. She deserves credit and more support to progress. She has potential, like her friend."

From her makeshift hiding place, Tsuki felt her cheeks heat up and her heart pound. It was the first time someone other than Lily had taken the time to treat her normally and tried to help her achieve her dream.

He seemed so phlegmatic, but his rational thoughts and way of thinking warmed her heart. With a relaxed smile, satisfied at having been recognized differently, the young girl moved away from the wall and headed toward the locker room. It would soon be time to go eat at the Yuei High School cafeteria.

After meeting up with her best friend, who seemed in better shape now, having swapped their heroic costumes for their school uniforms, they lined up to serve themselves. Their platter, well-portioned with various mouth-watering foods, served by one of Japan's best chefs, Lunch Rush, they finally found an empty seat and sat down.

Each of them began to savor the ingredients, melting in their mouths, bringing a unique and incomparable flavor to anything they had ever tasted.

"Hmmm! This omelet!" Lily purred, delighted, her eyes closed, her lips forming a feline smile.

"So," Tsuki interrupted gently, a mischievous smile playing at the corner of her lips, "did your boyfriend apologize for headbutting him?"

The blue-haired girl's eyes widened. Instantly, she swallowed the wrong way and nervously grabbed her glass of water, drank it all in one gulp, and her face turned red.

" W-W-W-What?! He's not my boyfriend!! And then you ran off like a thief!!"

Hoping this would get to her friend, for this teasing that was completely unnecessary, Lily grabbed the carafe of water and poured herself another glass. She made a bored, embarrassed face. Across from her, genuinely amused by her best friend's spontaneous reaction, the white girl chewed a piece of her salad and replied after devouring the food:

" I was just letting you two coo alone."

" We weren't cooing, Tsu-chan! ” Lily growled, pointing at her, serious.

With a clearly amused smile, Tsuki resumed her meal in silence, without pressing the matter further. As for her friend, she stared at her with a pout, her cheeks puffed out. She began to tap the toe of her shoe on the winged girl's foot under the table.

To tame her best friend, especially to calm her down, the aspiring heroine with blue-gray eyes took one of the strawberries from her dessert with her fork and placed it on the blue-haired girl's favorite pastry.

"You're buying me with a strawberry!?" she exclaimed.

A second strawberry was added to her small plate.

"But Tsu-chaaaaan!!

"You like strawberries."

"I'll pull your cheeks if you keep this up..."

A small giggle escaped the gray-winged teenager. She loved teasing her best friend. She amused him so much, was full of energy when it took her. What Tsuki didn't tell her and kept to herself was that she also felt a certain guilt.

On the one hand, Lily wouldn't want to get close to others, because she couldn't bear to be away from her. And on the other... If she ever came to like this boy... Then the blue-haired girl would end up distancing herself.

They would have less contact, less complicity.

Behind her smiles, Tsuki masked everything negative, preferring to fully enjoy the present moment. She knew perfectly well that her friend with the wind Quirk forgave her easily. She was perhaps less attentive, but not to the winged girl.

For among the other students mixed in the cafeteria, she made out, several tables away, the observant gaze of Izuku Midoriya. He wasn't looking at her. But at Lily Sawaka. He was really lacking in discretion, and Tsuki had guessed that he'd fallen under her best friend's spell.

"By the way," Lily chimed in seriously, after finishing her meal except for her dessert, "how's your shoulder?"

"Hm, it's fine."

She'd been through worse. But this kind of detail, she preferred to keep to herself.

"And you? How are you feeling?"

"Better!" Lily smiled at him, placing her hand on his bicep, the sleeves of her shirt rolled up. "I won't have any scars, from what Recovery Girl told me!"

"Excellent news," Tsuki rejoiced softly, truly reassured.

Satisfied, the teenager with cyan blue eyes began to happily enjoy her favorite dessert: a strawberry tart. Invisible hearts floated near her head, expressing her pleasure. It was this kind of image Tsuki perceived, which made her laugh softly.

It was so comical. It was impossible to tire of watching it. From afar, Izuku was probably enjoying the view too, surrounded by Tenya, Ochaco, Tsuyu, and Shoto.

After everyone had finished their desserts, while Lily was talking to him about what they should work on as a team, she was suddenly splashed with water. The jet was short, but enough to flatten her ocean-blue hair, and her white shirt also became wet.

Slowly, her eyes wide, the Yorukira student turned around. She immediately saw the trio of Shadow Walkers, laughing. It was Osamu who had just intentionally spilled her glass of water on her.

"Oops, sorry," he sneered, "I thought this was where they poured the dirty water!"

Anger flared immediately. And refusing to stand by, Lily grabbed her refilled glass, jumped up from her chair, which scraped against the tiles, and threw the water in her direction. At the same time, just as outraged, Tsuki picked up the carafe and imitated her friend's counterattack. And with more, she also hit the other two boys: Kita and Kyoshi.

This action immediately attracted the full attention of everyone eating in the UA High School cafeteria. All eyes were on the Yorukira students.

Izuku stood up in indignation, the irresistible urge to intervene and defend these poor girls who hadn't asked for anything or done anything wrong.

"Fuck! The bitch wet my pants!" Kita whined.

"Hey, we were targeting your friend! Shit!"

"By targeting her, you're targeting me too," Tsuki pointed out coldly, angrily. "And be glad I'm not going around grabbing the other tables' carafes!"

Kyoshi huffed, irritated, and brushed back her locks. Her face was wet, her gaze dark, filled with hatred.

"Oi Hime," he called out to her, his voice hoarse. "Have you gotten a big head or what?"

"Shut your mouth, you know what you were doing attacking Lily!"

"We were teaching her where she belonged."

At this, the woman in question placed her empty glass more gently on the table behind her. She frowned.

"Oh yeah? You feel threatened after your crushing defeat against us and the U.A. guys? Do you have to act like a fool in public to feel superior? You just look like a moron with no brains!"

"As far as I know, I don't need to be adopted to get attention! You're so poor that love is fleeting with you!"

Once again, he reminded her of her family situation. In public. The blue-haired girl glared at him, clenched her fists so tightly her knuckles turned white. Her pupils split with the rage she was holding back. If she ever exploded, she was risking a lot.

The Kuro family was rich. But she also thought about the risks if she didn't control her bad mood. And it frustrated her not to be able to defend herself as she wished.

And Kyoshi knew that. He reveled in this difference. Consequences.

"So, my dear, did the cat get your tongue?"

He began rummaging in his uniform pocket and, with a casual gesture, tossed a few yen bills into the air, under the shocked gaze of the spectators. A superior and victorious smile on his lips, the black-haired man adored the blue-haired woman's dark gaze.

She was trembling with rage.

The bills ended up surrounding them, on the ground, as if this money represented only a third of the fortune of the boy with the Shadow Lance Quirk. He moved closer and whispered in her ear.

"I'm nice, aren't I? You can take them. I'm sure your adoptive parents will be happy if you bring them these. Maybe they'll give you a hug when they get home and the next day they'll ask you to bring them more..."

Suddenly pulled away, Lily's eyes widened. She looked at Tsuki, her face darkening. Without the slightest regret, the winged girl didn't give Kyoshi time to react.

She deliberately and precisely placed her foot between the boy's legs. So hard that the dark-haired boy's scream was muffled, his eyes rolled, and his face crumpled under the impending pain. He lost his balance, his center of gravity too strong.

He pressed his hands against his violated jewelry. His henchmen backed away, turning pale at Tsuki Koori's intervention; both placed their hands to cover their fragile areas. They were already dreading their punishment if she came to them, with that killer look.

Immediately, Professor Ectoplasm arrived to face this abnormal commotion. He understood at once what had just happened and didn't look for the real culprits. He pointed at Tsuki and Kyoshi, ordering them to follow him without making a fuss to the principal's office.

Worried, Lily wanted to protest and defend her friend, but Ectoplasm ordered her to shut up and return to her duties. Tsuki, for her part, gave the blue-haired girl a reassuring smile before following the professional hero. Kyoshi trailed behind her, squealing in pain.

Immediately, the restaurant slowly but surely returned to calm. Whispered chants erupted from everywhere, and the teenager with the wind quirk clenched her fists. Her heart clenched painfully in her chest, filled with guilt. She glared at the other two Yorukira students. This time, not being kind, she threatened them in a dark voice:

"You two, come back to me, or Tsuki, I'll have you deprived of oxygen, and believe me, I can do that. Or I'll disfigure you with my fists..."

Clearly, her threat made them flinch. Immediately, the two boys hurried away, and other whispers spread among the tables.

" Did you hear that? Creepy..."

" She's not very heroic..."

It wasn't very discreet. The girl in question could hear them. Insecurity was eating away at her, frustration was consuming her. In a hurry, she grabbed the trays and the rest of the dirty dishes to return them to the kitchen staff and hurried out of the cafeteria, unable to bear to stay in this environment any longer.

At this sight, Izuku abandoned his dessert and offered it to Ochaco, his body also moving too quickly for his friends' liking.

" Deku-kun? What are you doing?"

"Midoriya???"

He came up with a hasty and clumsy excuse.

" I have an emergency!"

He, too, left the cafeteria, where many were discussing what had just happened. And what was most striking was that these girls were aggressive. No one seemed to have grasped the gravity of the situation. No one was trying to think.

And above all, no one had noticed how much it had hurt Lily.

Ignoring the rules, Izuku ran through the hallways, his heart pounding, genuinely concerned for her. Where could she have gone? Where could she have hidden? He looked for her, his fists clenched, his throat burning.

He should have intervened. Defend her. Tsuki had done so and ended up being summoned to the office while she was defending her friend's honor.

At an intersection, near the stairs, the One For All holder noticed blue streaks. He quickened his pace.

He went back up the stairs and finally caught sight of her.

Lily sat on the steps, curled up, her hair covering her like a veil. Seeing her so fragile, isolated, broke his heart. She was innocent in this. She didn't deserve this.

"Sawaka-san..."

He called her softly, recognizing a slight hiccup. She tensed up, withdrawing even more into herself.

“Leave me alone…” she demanded in a strangled voice, confirming her suspicions. She really wasn’t well.

The sun was hidden by a thick cloud, making the corridors darken.

Gently, Izuku joined her, refusing to leave her like this, alone, in this state. He came to sit beside her, trying to comfort her.

“It’s not your fault.”

“Yes…”

“No. They’re the ones who are wrong.”

Very seriously, he leaned slightly towards her.

“You were just defending yourself.”

“It doesn’t change anything,” she managed in a small voice, her face placed on his thighs, her arms wrapped around them. "Tsuki will be punished because of me. I'm not capable of hitting Kyoshi, just because of her family..."

Taking the time to gather this information, Izuku tried to put the pieces of the puzzle together. Kuro Kyoshi, if she was talking about family, and the way he threw money on the ground...

" He's rich and famous?"

" M-Mmmhm..."

She was careful of the repercussions.

" I'm the worst friend. I can't even help Tsuki... And I have to limit myself because of him because he might attack my family..."

Lily clenched her fists, shaking, frustrated. Even though her face was hidden, Izuku could tell she was sobbing.

" Damn, I'm such a loser..."

" Not at all. I even think you're strong. And I'm sure your friend thinks the same thing", Izuku told her sincerely.

Surprised, she raised her head slightly. Her eyes were red, wet, and shiny. Her cheeks were also flushed, and the sight tore at the aspiring hero's heart. He continued, careful to find the right words.

" I was bullied in middle school too... I never stood up for myself like you did. I'm sure many would have kept their heads down. But you don't. You stay strong. You don't let yourself be crushed. I find that courageous coming from you. Inspiring even."

" Y-You think...?"

" Of course. Koori-san must think the same thing I do."

Lily sniffed, wiping away her own tears, touched by his comforting words. Her heart was slowly but surely lightening, with Izuku's warm smile.

The sun was back in full force, the rays brightening the corridors and highlighting All Might's disciple.

"You can be proud of yourself, Sawaka-san. Really. You're a nice person. I know it."

With this compliment, the young girl frowned and looked away from him, breaking off all eye contact for an indefinite period. She blushed, pressing her cheek against her knee.

"You're the one who's nice," she replied, "you're a great person, Midoriya. You didn't have to come see me, you know."

"Of course you did! I didn't want to leave you alone in this state."

Knowing that he was the only one who had noticed her reaction warmed the teenager's heart. She pursed her lips, truly touched by his kindness. There were so many people out there. And only he had made the effort to come see her.

While she gave off a bad image of herself, in the eyes of some.

Izuku Midoriya was an incredibly kind, unique person. And she wondered if they could become friends one day...

"Would you... like to talk about something more pleasant?" Izuku suggested, with an encouraging smile.

"What's on your mind?"

"I'd like to learn... why you want to become a hero."

A smile immediately appeared on the high school girl's lips, who, this time, looked him straight in the eyes, completely touched.

"I want to hear your side of the story too, then."

"Okay." Izuku grinned at her, delighted to find a topic that made her smile again.

Chapter 06:

Effervescence

発泡性

Happō-sei

First day at Yuei. After the combat simulation exercise, during lunch break, everything went haywire. Kyoshi Kuro, provocative and immoral by nature, had driven the person he couldn't stand to anger—and that had led him to suffer indescribable pain in his crotch for it. But hey, being in the front row and admiring that proud face break down, contort with something else, was more than satisfying for the apprentice heroine.

Tsuki remained completely calm after that. She avoided being overwhelmed by any other emotions. She contented herself with silently following the hero Ectoplasm, who had had to intervene in their confrontation in the school cafeteria. It was heavy, no words were exchanged, but this heaviness was understandable. Two students from different high schools putting on a show, it was enough to be indignant.

The teenager could already guess her homeroom teacher's reaction: he would blush and feel ashamed. The man would lecture them—but he would refrain from overdoing it, fearing retaliation from two wealthy and influential families.

“With that, you can say goodbye to going to Yuei.”

Kyoshi had just whispered in her classmate's ear.

Tsuki looked up at him. She stared at him silently. Once again, he was provoking her. He wanted to drag her down with him. To break the bonds of hope she was beginning to see. Even if he was an idiot in her eyes, he still had a spark of intelligence in his genes. The winged girl had to make a superhuman effort to silence the irregular beating of her heart.

She didn't like him playing on her emotions. And today, the dark-haired boy was despicable. Trying to give her a bad image among the students in class A. Or even among the other students at Yuei. Now it was among the teachers. He was doing his job too well. He was enjoying himself.

“Don't look so sad, Hime, they'll forgive you soon. But you'll never have a place in this high school that you wanted so badly to attend with your stupid friend.”

With her teeth clenched and her fists balled so tightly that her knuckles turned white, Tsuki was doing herself pure violence.

She was reaching her limit with this guy. Unfortunately, she couldn't send him away. Their families were allies. And Kyoshi had made a pact to stay by her side. He rejoiced at seeing her in this delicate position. He drained her energy to rise higher and stronger.

Ectoplasm stopped in front of a door and rolled it open to the side. The teachers' lounge was busy. There were several desks, and the air conditioning was on, providing welcome coolness to the teachers. Some were gathered around a water dispenser, cups in hand.

In the end, it wasn't the principal's office. It seemed that the hero had changed his destination.

“Ectoplasm?” called the Yorukira High School teacher, stunned to see him arrive with two of his students.

“They started fighting in the school cafeteria.”

It only took a few seconds for the adult's face to turn red. Frowning, he didn't hesitate to yell at them, under the bewildered gaze of the Yuei teachers.

“You did... WHAT?!”

“Koori splashed me with water from a jug. And kicked me in the balls." Kyoshi immediately reported, his hands in the pockets of his uniform. In public. "I was in pain, sir!”

And he announced it casually, as if the episode had happened a long time ago. Tsuki glared at him. She wanted to hurt him even more so he wouldn't use that flippant tone—and if he could stop standing there and talking, it would be the best day of her life.

“M-Miss Koori!? Tell me this is a bad joke!” stammered the teacher, horrified.

“He's a manipulative pervert who went way too far. I should have cut them off,” Tsuki replied coldly.

“Cut them off?” Kyoshi quoted, raising an eyebrow. “You're funny. Would you be capable of that? I don't think you're cut out for surgery.”

“You'd be amazed by my hidden talents.”

Despite her sharp tone, the dark-haired man had a smirk on his lips. He was not intimidated in the slightest. Alarmed, the professor interrupted them, his nerves on edge. His arms outstretched, without touching them, a bead of sweat formed on his forehead. He had to measure his words carefully. If Kuro or Koori's family ever turned to him... to defend their child... to declare that he was unworthy of his title as a teacher... It would be over for him.

He swallowed hard. His legs were shaking, and he dreaded what was to come:

“Calm down. You're tense because you lost the fight against Class A, which I completely understand...”

“Lost? Hm. We just lacked diligence. Nothing more!” Kyoshi corrected him, annoyed.

“We wouldn't have lost if you hadn't decided to attack me and Lily!” Tsuki hissed. “You're out of touch with reality, you big idiot!”

Faced with no effort or awareness, their teacher sighed, very annoyed. His authority was mixed among these students. Especially them. If nothing improved, his reputation with the other adults would be very bad.

He had to interrupt them, a little more harshly.

“That's enough! You're acting like two children running wild! If this is how it's going to be, you won't be participating in the next class! You'll stay here and write down your mistakes on paper! You're embarrassing me!”

“Uh?!” Kyoshi exclaimed, frowning. “You want to punish us by making us write a damn page? We're not 5 years old!”

“With a graded assignment! I won't hesitate!”

In the room, some of Yuei's teachers nodded in agreement. Just seeing that, over his shoulder, a thin smile appeared on Yorukira's teacher's lips.

However, his relief was quickly dispelled by Eraserhead's movements. The latter fixed his dark eyes on the two teenagers. The tension in the air became palpable, charged with electricity. Remaining where he was, Kyoshi stared at him openly, completely unintimidated, showing no sign of respect. This was in stark contrast to Tsuki, who immediately lowered his blue-gray eyes to his indoor shoes.

“I have the situation perfectly under control, Eraserhead,” Yorukira's teacher explained somewhat abruptly, defensively.

“What I take from this is that it has no impact whatsoever on Kuro Kyoshi.”

With a casual gesture, the dark-haired man ran his hand through his short black hair. He clicked his tongue against his palate, lifted his chin, and glared at the underground hero. He couldn't stand it any longer. From the beginning, Aizawa Shota had been hellish to him. He couldn't stand him.

Looking down on him. Believing himself untouchable when he was just an adult like anyone else. Who would eventually kneel on the ground, realizing that he had no right to belittle him or lecture him.

Kyoshi would take great pleasure in teaching him who he was dealing with.

“Oiiii, sensei, you don't seem to know who I am, do you?” the teenager said sarcastically, using a nasty tone. “My parents could have you thrown out of here for abuse of power. If I were you, I wouldn't meddle in things that don't concern me.”

“You won't get very far with that spoiled attitude. Especially when it comes to potential internships with professionals...”

With a knowing glance, Shota addressed Yorukira's teacher in particular. Judging by the latter's reaction alone, Eraserhead quickly deduced what was wrong.

It was July. And there were no internships on the horizon for them. Maybe they didn't have the director's permission. Or maybe the field experience would only start later.

"I guess, judging by the look on your face, you're not going to take the time to think about what I said.

“As if I'm going to question myself with a pro who looks like a disgusting homeless person!” Kyoshi provoked him arrogantly, arms crossed. “You're not even in the top 10 heroes, so you don't have to answer to me! There's nothing admirable about you!”

“Kuro... Watch your language.” Professor Yorukira demanded a little awkwardly, the stress rising a notch.

The lack of respect and authority only made the adult's status even more deplorable. The dark-haired man frowned, displeased. This confirmed his opinion of this student: a child who had been spoiled and enjoyed the power of his family. He thought he was untouchable.

And that was the last straw.

Tsuki had held back for a long time. But the ball of heat in her stomach was becoming unbearable to contain. Her fists were clenched so tightly that her knuckles had turned white and her veins had become darker and more visible. Her patience had exploded. Guided by anger and indignation, the winged girl broke through the wall.

Her fist flew. It struck her classmate's eye with unparalleled brutality.

It was a completely unexpected blow.

It all happened too fast. Kyoshi staggered back in shock, stifling a groan of pain. Professor Yorukira let out a cry and rushed towards the young man who had been targeted, while Eraserhead pulled the teenager back by her shoulders to stop her from going any further. But she struggled furiously. Her pupils were dilated and she was breathing heavily.

“At least he's more deserving than a piece of trash like you!!!!!!” Tsuki yelled at him.

“What have you done, Miss Koori???!!”

“I'm giving him a taste of what he's going to suffer!”

Kyoshi sat up, pressing his palm against his injured eye. He pushed his teacher aside and lunged toward the teenager, reaching out with the clear intention of grabbing her by the neck and strangling her.

A group stopped him and neutralized him. Aizawa Shota's immediate reaction was to put him in a headlock and pin him to the ground, keeping one knee on the middle of Yorukira's back. With his arms crossed and tied with his stretchy scarf, the bully began to gesticulate and shout indignantly, his voice echoing throughout the room.

“Silence,” Eraserhead ordered coldly and firmly. And he got it pretty quickly.

“I'll tell my dad that you...”

“You're not in my school. And since I'm not your favorite hero, I don't care about your pathetic threats.” Shota cut him off in an icy tone, his pupils turning ruby red.

 Silence fell once again.

The tension was palpable. No one dared open their mouth. Except Present Mic, who finally said, after sipping his coffee, an almost sarcastic “Damn.”

“You'll be under Hound Dog's supervision while I handle the last class with the others. I want a copy of the excuse notes. No excuses for you,” he said firmly. “And as for you, you need to learn to control your anger and not play into his game!”

Faced with his critical gaze, Tsuki immediately lowered her head and eyes. Her throat tightened. She interlaced her fingers, crushed under the authority of her favorite hero for too long.

 “Y...Yes.”

“You will write three more copies of your reflections on your actions. On what to avoid!”

Clearly aware that he wasn't going to be on her side either, the silver-haired teenager nodded silently and pursed her lips. It was true that she had cracked. However, it was mainly to defend him. She could no longer bear to hear these provocations, this disrespect, this malice towards a hero she had idolized for so long.

In her subconscious, Tsuki would have loved to receive a small thank you. Or a discreet smile. Or understanding for her justified actions. But she knew full well that he didn't owe her anything. She wasn't expecting anything. But her heart wanted otherwise.

Through his stern gaze, the teenager with gray wings detected disappointment. And that alone hurt her. The high school student closed her eyes, breathed in through her nostrils, and did her best to regain her composure and the neutrality that Kyoshi had shattered in a matter of seconds.

At least, judging by his closed eye, it was slowly but surely turning blue. Somewhere, there was good in his excessive anger.

It all ended quickly. And Hound Dog picked up the two teenagers to take them to an isolated room and watch them do their work. Recovery Girl even had to move to treat Kyoshi Kuro's eye.

Whispers floated through the air as several students mentioned the accident in the teachers' offices. Walking alone through the halls of Yuei High School after leaving the restroom, Lily stopped to listen.

It only took a few descriptions for her to quickly figure out who it was. Her eyes widened and she quickly turned her head in the direction of the room where the confrontation between the two students was taking place. Her legs moved on their own. When she reached the door, she knocked and opened it.

She found herself face to face with her homeroom teacher, his face as red as his eyes.

 " Um... Excuse me. I..."

" She's being punished with Kuro in an isolated room. Now move aside, Sawaka! Don't forget you have class in twenty minutes in room 2-A!"

Without the slightest gentleness, he pushed her away with his hand, which surprised her. The blue-haired girl watched the adult leave, tense. The teenager cursed, running her hand over her collarbone where the adult had pushed her away roughly. She narrowed her eyes and muttered silently, staring at him.

“Asshole...”

“You're absolutely right.”

Taken aback by this confirmation coming from the teachers' lounge, Lily jumped. She turned her head quickly, shocked. In the doorway, her arms crossed over her ample chest, Midnight looked disapprovingly at the teacher Yorukira.

Very quickly, the woman put aside her differences and smiled when she recognized the high school student.

“What a nice surprise! You're the girl who stood up to me in the entrance exam!”

“Midnight the sadistic whip-cracker!!!!???”

It just came out. And the blue-haired girl had just backed away, immediately putting up her defenses. Seeing her react like that made the heroine, who was forbidden to those under eighteen, burst out laughing.

“You're so cute! Don't be afraid! I don't whip just anyone!”

“Hmmm....”

“Okay. I admit it. But only if it's consensual.”

“...Creepy.”

Another laugh escaped Midnight's throat. She winked at her, then, after this moment of relaxation, Nemuri resumed her role seriously, while maintaining a delicate and benevolent smile.

“I suppose you were looking for your winged friend? Yes, she has been punished. She will not be attending the next class, nor will she be with that very disrespectful boy.”

“But... what happened?” Lily asked, worried.

She even had to reinforce her question with a “please, she's my best friend,” which melted the adult's heart. Nemuri relented and gave her a brief summary of what had happened. With a kind gesture, she placed her hand on the wind-alter girl's shoulder.

“She meant well. But they were out of control. Don't worry, after class is over, you can go home with her. And... I think it will reassure her to have some support.”

"... "

The silence seemed to surprise the professional heroine. She tilted her head, decided to crouch down to the teenager's height, and fixed her blue eyes on her beautiful cyan-blue orbs, shining with frustration. Midnight could see the high school girl's clenched fists and jaw.

“You're a good friend to worry about her,” Midnight said softly.

“I have to go. Thank you.”

Lily bowed respectfully and left immediately. Once she was far enough away, the professional hero sighed and whispered, more to herself than to her colleague who was approaching, “She takes a lot on herself.”

The next classes were held at the SCA. Once again dressed in their hero costumes, they were all accompanied by Eraserhead, Yorukira's teacher, and Number 13. Everyone was impressed by the titanic size of the place, where various terrains suitable for natural disaster simulations were grouped together. In the distance, you could see representations of mountains, a snowy area, fragile buildings threatening to collapse, and a large area with water...

Number 13 was in charge of guiding and introducing red mannequins with human bodies. The professional heroine in the field of rescue gave a brief briefing to the students to teach them about the survival rate of injured civilians.

With a stroke of a black marker, she drew crosses on random areas of several mannequins, labeling them as “deep wounds.” She explained that time was precious and that it was necessary to minimize the impact of the damage until help arrived.

“We already had an identical class two months ago before the Yuei championship... But between us, why are we using mannequins?” Kyoka asked, perplexed.

“It's true, mannequins are less realistic. And they don't move!” remarked a Yorukira student.

Indignation began to rise among the aspiring heroes. Number 13 took a small remote control out of one of her jumpsuit pockets. As soon as she pressed a button, all the mannequins simultaneously began gesticulating and shouting, “I'm in pain,” and “I don't want to die!”

This was enough to silence the students. Satisfied that she had managed to convince a good number of them, the professional heroine pressed the button again, stopping all the mannequins and silencing their cries, which were beginning to pierce the eardrums of many of those present.

Under the orders of Number 13, groups were formed. And the exercise began as soon as everyone had a first aid kit with them.

“It's really quiet without Kyoshi,” sighed Osamu, his arms crossed behind his head.

“Totally. It's getting almost boring,” agreed Kita.

The two close friends of the punished troublemaker muttered to each other. There was always something unpleasant and repulsive about them that served as their aura. No one had the courage to talk to them or call them to order. Both were already perceived as two dunces in the eyes of Yuei's students. And this had not escaped the more concerned glances of their classmates.

In the company of Shoji Mezo, Tooru Kagakure, and another classmate, Lily looked curiously at the contents of the first aid kit. She took it out and showed the others what they had in their possession. They were already making a list of what would be most useful and what wouldn't.

“Did you see that tall guy? With the mask? That heteromorph is creepy with his arms!”

Frowning, Lily stopped in her tracks and stared at the two boys from her high school who were grimacing as they looked askance at Shoji.

“Ignore those idiots. You're very cool,” the blue-haired girl whispered to her temporary partner. “And you could knock them out quickly with your strength.”

“I'm not affected.”

Surprised by the boy's response to the “Clone Arm” alter, the blue-haired girl stared at him, stunned. Even through his dark blue mask that completely covered his mouth, the high school student seemed to be smiling at her, touched by the attention she was giving him.

“I understand that they're immature. I don't care for them, and I'm used to scaring others,” Shoji added.

“It's really... mature to think that way. I imagine you've been through a lot to get to that point.”

Surprised by the response from the girl with the wind alter, the heteromorphic boy closed his eyes and recalled a few moments that had left a mark on his mind. He simply nodded his head and contented himself with stating a truth of his own:

“It's partly our past that shapes us. And determination.”

“You're absolutely right,” Lily smiled softly, still sitting with her group.

“The first step would be to apply alcohol or disinfectant to the wounds!” Toru exclaimed. She energetically lifted a snowflake.

“Not everything,” replied one of Yorukira's students, amused.

Amused, Lily relaxed with them while concentrating on their exercise—if we forget Katsuki Bakugo's outbursts at the others who made the wrong choices.

In a classroom, far from the windows, in the front rows, Tsuki continued to write her letter of apology to Aizawa and her homeroom teacher. Her wrist was starting to hurt from writing too much, but she tried to ignore it. The sound of pens scratching on paper filled the room, mixed with irritated sighs. The air was electric, charged with unspoken words. Hound Dog sat with his arms crossed, glaring at them harshly, even though at times it looked as if he might fall asleep, given his heavy eyelids that kept drooping.

The winged girl took her time finishing her papers. She then had to complete an exercise that would be graded by Yorukira's teacher. A history lesson: “The Birth of the Luminous Baby.” Tsuki sighed. It had been nearly 100 years since it happened. And this child had managed to bring peace in the face of the madness between those who had no superpowers and those who did.

Through sheer force of will and diplomacy, he had ended the war. He had brought about peace. And he had been assassinated. According to countless investigations, his alter ego had been mysteriously “removed.” And the case had been closed without further action.

Such a curious, profound subject. But it was still being studied and had left its mark on history.

Tsuki finished her copies and called the principal of Yuei High School to let him know that she had completed her punishment. And that if there was anything else, she would do it. In the meantime, while the dog man checked her statements, she massaged her sore wrists.

“Good. I'll take you to the SCA.”

“Huh?” the girl said, stunned.

“There's still more than an hour and a half left before school ends. You're not going to stay here and slack off. Now that you understand your mistakes, go to class! UNDERSTAND? GRRR!!”

Easily emotional, his beastly side came out. Without holding him back any longer, Tsuki nodded vigorously and got up from her chair. She followed the adult to the training ground. After a quick exchange with Eraserhead, the teenager arrived on the field, still in her school uniform.

She spotted her best friend in a mixed group, performing CPR on a red, motionless mannequin. Focused, her teeth clenched, she did her best, encouraged by her teammates. Suddenly, the doll sprayed water on her face, catching her off guard. Everyone burst out laughing.

Number 13 slipped behind the white-clad girl. From behind her helmet, she called out softly and gently.

“Don't just stand there doing nothing. Come on, I'll take you to a small group. You missed the beginning of the exercise, but as you can see, we're practicing CPR on a mannequin.”

“Ah, this class,” thought Tsuki, a little disappointed that it wasn't so new. She was fairly familiar with the steps involved.

“This is Fumikage Tokoyami, Ojiro Mashirao, and your two classmates, Hinata Miu and Nene Kanzaki.”

With a nod, the professional heroine left them together to get acquainted. Tsuki sat cross-legged, like the others. She watched her classmate nervously perform CPR. She seemed to be struggling.

“A little higher,” Ojiro guided her with a friendly smile.

“Oh! Like this?”

“Perfect!”

The boy with the sturdy ponytail looked up at the newcomer to their group.

“Koori Tsuki, right?” he asked her, to be sure he wasn't making a mistake.

“Yes.”

“Have you ever performed first aid before?”

“Yes.”

“Koori-san can do absolutely everything, she's perfect!” one of her classmates said seriously, praising her.

Upon hearing this, the winged girl discreetly pursed her lips and clutched her skirt. She avoided contradicting her. She didn't have the heart to argue. It wasn't her day. And to top it all off, she had disappointed her idol. That alone had demoralized her.

Observant and attentive, Fumikage gently contradicted her:

“No one is perfect. Even darkness, which can be very powerful at night and wreak havoc, has its weaknesses and flaws...”

“Uh, what is the crow babbling about?” asked a girl, confused.

“Ahaha, it's Fumikage, that's all...” Ojiro laughed softly. He ran a hand through his short blond hair.

“Why are you talking as if I were someone with an ability that disconnects me from your conversations?” the person in question asked, his eyes narrowing.

Listening to them, they seemed to be quite close. Tsuki simply nodded and glanced curiously at the other groups. It was quite lively and diverse. And she recognized Izuku Midoriya doing his best during CPR. A girl with amphibious features was next to him, carefully analyzing his efforts with other boys from Yorukira

Eraserhead watched and took note of the other groups. When the dark-haired boy turned around, the teenager quickly shifted her attention from him to the mannequin. She began to participate in the exercise, serious and focused. Her team supported and encouraged her.

But she remained unmoved.

It was a ten-minute break. Everyone could relax or go to the bathroom if they needed to. Sitting apart from the others, Tsuki massaged her still sore wrists.

“How are you feeling?”

The aspiring heroine looked up. She saw Lily sitting next to her on the stone steps leading up to the SCA exit. The blue-haired girl had a knack for understanding right away when something was wrong. So when she knew, she never asked, “Are you okay?”

Attentive, the blue-haired girl rested her elbows on her bent knees.

“You were staring at that Eraserhead. I saw you.”

“Always observant, Leelo-chan...”

“Hmm...”

Her cyan blue eyes looked down at her wrists, which her best friend was nervously massaging.

“Do you want me to go see if there's any ice? At least to relieve the pain.”

Her suggestion elicited a brief smile from the white girl. She shook her head.

“No need.”

Tsuki closed her eyes.

“It'll hurt when I get home anyway.”

“Are you sure? And given how hot it is, I'm sure it would do you good and...”

“I said no,” Tsuki insisted more firmly.

Hearing the harsher tone of her voice, the young girl realized that her friend's rejection of her attention sounded mean. Tori wanted to correct herself, her throat tightening. She pulled her legs up to her chest and hurried to apologize, afraid that the blue-haired girl would take it the wrong way.

“I'm sorry, Leelo-chan. It's just that... that... I... I'm not feeling well and...”

“No, it's okay, I understand. I'll leave you alone for a while.”

With a knowing smile, Lily got up. She immediately moved away from her friend to give her some space. The blue-haired girl went to sit away from the gaze of the others and leaned against a rock. Sitting there, she picked up a pebble and played with it while manipulating a mini tornado created with her fingertips.

A shadow lengthened toward her and footsteps drew nearer. However, the aspiring heroine did not stop entertaining herself or look up.

" Sawaka-san? "

With a voice full of gentleness and concern, Izuku didn't dare to approach her. He watched her, alone, isolated from the others. The teenager had had time to notice the separation while he was with his friends. The green-haired boy had to find an excuse to slip away and make sure everything was okay.

He couldn't help himself. Earlier, Deku had been with her, comforting her, even though she wasn't feeling well either and felt guilty that her friend had been taken to the office.

“I'm passing the time,” she said simply, in a tone that was meant to be detached from everything.

“I... Sorry, but I saw that you didn't seem to be doing well. With Koori-san and...”

“Everything's fine.”

No sooner had she uttered this reply than she canceled her alter. The pebble fell onto the concrete floor of the SCA. Skyao looked straight into the eyes of the boy with tousled green hair, smiling. She placed her hands on her knees.

“She's just having a bad day. She'll be fine later. It happens. That's how it is.”

This answer sounded weak to Izuku's ears. The holder of One For All hesitated and ran a hand through his hair. Unsure of how to respond to this more or less understandable description, he ended up saying nothing.

He knew nothing about girls. He wasn't even entirely comfortable with the idea of having a conversation with them yet. However, with Lily, there was something curious. Calm. Serenity. No excess. Not a ball of energy. And that put him at ease.

“No, really, everything's fine! What did you think? That I was going to curl up in a fetal position?” Lily teased him gently, smiling broadly, her eyes closed.

“N-No, I didn't... well...!” stammered All Might's disciple, blushing, immediately embarrassed for having considered the wrong possibilities.

“Hey, do you know how to skip stones?”

Confused, Izuku blinked several times. He was doing his best to follow her. Lily picked up the stone again, bounced it in her palm, and pointed to the lake in the SCA's maritime area. The high school student quickly understood the message and laughed nervously. He rubbed the back of his neck.

 “No,” he admitted.

“Me neither! Want to try it out?”

“With just one pebble?”

He pointed. The blue-haired girl blinked. She juggled the pebble in her hand, looking around, but there were no other small rocks available. This realization shocked her, and she dropped her find on the ground in her excitement. Immediately disappointed, Lily let out a grunt, which made Yuei's student laugh softly, touched by such a belated and childish reaction.

His classmates approached, including Tenya Iida and Shoto Todoroki. Intrigued, they noticed that their friend had a blue tinge to his skin. They quickly got acquainted, without being too abrupt.

As for Tsuki, she waited patiently, her stomach in knots. Discreet and nervous, she played with one of her long strands of hair. Eraserhead was still with his homeroom teacher, Number 13, and the others. With her stomach in knots, she wondered how long it would be before she could join him.

She noticed from a distance that her best friend was being welcomed by the Yuei students. And that Izuku Midoriya had been the first to approach her.

Once again, just seeing her best friend surrounded by smiles made her heart sink with regret.

“She deserved to go to Yuei... She would have been so happy.”

With these thoughts in mind, she finally spotted an opening among the adults. Tsuki stood up, ready to confront the adult she had deeply disappointed. With a determined step, she got up, followed suit, and timidly called out to the Yuei teacher.

His attention turned to her. And, standing up straight and sincere, the young girl bowed respectfully, her throat still tight and burning.

“I apologize for my behavior, Aizawa-sensei. I have brought shame upon you. I promise not to repeat these mistakes and to make sure to curb my impulsiveness.”

“Stand up straight.”

Surprised by his command, Tori obeyed without protest. Timidly, nervously, her heart beating painfully in her chest, the young girl looked him straight in the eye. And her breath caught in her throat.

It was as if everything around them no longer existed. Her breathing became heavy. Burning. She dreaded what would happen next. Would he sigh? Say a simple “very well” and walk away as if nothing had happened? It was impossible to read him. His obsidian eyes scrutinized her so intensely that shivers ran down her spine.

He had the merit of being so intimidating. Professional. No favoritism. He rejected and hated the media. Aizawa Shota was an incredible man whom she admired and hoped to become like one day.

“I understand that you acted impulsively solely to defend me,” he began. “But you played into his game. And just by doing that, he gained ego.”

Valid point. Tsuki was impressed that he immediately understood what kind of person Kyoshi was.

“Whether it's in the office. Or in catering. Or even on the gamma field.”

The teenager lowered her eyes, unable to find a single reply to what he was saying. Everything was stuck in her throat, and nothing came out. Ashamed, she bit her lip.

" On the other hand, you only act to defend those around you. That's noble, but look where it can lead you. If it were a villain holding a hostage, keeping your cool is essential. Of course, it's not the same thing, but in these situations, you have to take a broader view. There are always other options besides violence. Although I do understand that he deserved to be more strictly supervised. Severely."

Not surprisingly, he agreed with him. Tsuki forced himself not to smile openly. The dark-haired man might take it the wrong way. Or point out that it was nothing to be happy about.

“If you've realized that, then that's enough for me, and my role ends here.”

The winged girl stopped him with an onomatopoeia. She had taken a single step. Her heart was pounding, her eyes shining. She had to swallow her own saliva, encouraging herself to speak to him more clearly:

“Your role doesn't end here... to me, you're a good teacher. And your advice and comments are relevant and broaden my horizons. You... you're a role model.”

She had managed to say it.

Her cheeks flushed, she lowered her head and her eyes. She stared at her shoes.

“I hope that one day, I won't disappoint you, next time... that we meet again.”

“Disappoint me?” Shota quoted, raising an eyebrow.

“Yes... I disappointed you. By... acting so brazenly.”

“When did I say I was disappointed?”

It was a shock to the teenager, who raised her head sharply. Her heart was beating rapidly in her chest and her breath was ragged. Her eyes widened as she faced him.

The atmosphere lightened, as did her heart. If he said he wasn't disappointed, then that gave her confidence. Eraserhead narrowed his eyes, bringing her back to reality by repeating the question in a slightly firmer and more severe tone.

“Ah!” Tsuki quickly woke up, coming out of her trance. “I-I just deduced and...”

“Wrong deduction. But anyway, I guess you've never been punished,” he said perceptively.

“Yes, indeed...”

Her smile was a facade. She had only confirmed that for school. Not how things were at home. Aizawa Shota's intense gaze was met by that of the high school girl. There was an exchange of unspoken words, leaving secrets hanging in the air, which suddenly made the atmosphere heavier.

Number 13 returned to the fray, reminding all the students that the break was over and that it was time for the next exercise, which would be more immersive and intensive this time. His interruption broke the eye contact between the dark-haired boy and the white girl. Tsuki went to join her best friend, who was with a group.

And while her back was turned, Eraserhead watched her silently, lost in thought.
