Izuku Midoriya POV

First day at U.A, the best hero school in Japan. I'm so happy that even being in the same class as Bakugou again hasn't ruined it. That's what I tell myself. There are only a few minutes left until the scheduled time for the first class, and the room is already full of different students, all seated, some looking calm, others more nervous like me.

0(footsteps sound)

The door opens and a beautiful woman enters with blonde hair in a ponytail with an ahogue, side bangs, and blue eyes.

She is wearing a black suit with gold details over a white dress shirt open enough to show a bit of cleavage, a black choker, and an ID badge.

A black skirt with a diagonal gold chain in the same tone as the suit's details, black thigh-high stockings connected to black garters that go inside the skirt, and black flat shoes.

But what really catches attention are the two white wings on her back and the halo of light on her head.

The exact moment she faces the class, the bell for the start of classes begins to ring, and as it stops, she begins to speak in a formal tone.

“Good morning everyone, Class 1-A. I will be your homeroom teacher and also teach first aid. I am Tenshi Hikari, also known as..."

"The Angel of Light! The Eleventh Goddess!" I happily exclaim, while mentally kicking myself for taking so long to recognize her – the 11th ranked hero who had one of the fastest ascensions in history, one of the best rescue heroes, the successor to Recovery Girl whom I met before, and furthermore, one of the main defenders of heteromorph rights.

"Personally, I prefer you refer to me by my personal name or just call me teacher."

While looking directly at me with an irritated but still formal tone.

"S-s-sorry." As I shrink in embarrassment.

"Anyway, I ask you to avoid using my hero name. The reason is a bit childish, I admit, but I'm still a little annoyed that I wasn't able to choose my name due to circumstances."

Her explanation caused a murmur in the room, and several students began to ask themselves if they could choose their names or not, or about the teacher, her circumstances, about the school, and one even asked about her measurements.

I wanted to ask about her quirk, but it's a good thing I didn't immediately, just like the boy with glasses who introduced himself as Tenya, who just raised his hand and waited.

The teacher starts clapping, until she gradually calms the room. "Now that you've calmed down."

She starts a little exasperated, I think?

"Let's start with today's lesson plan." She explains now in a more formal tone while looking from one side of the room to the other.

0"What you will do now is go to changing rooms A and B, change into your gym clothes, and meet me on the training field for a physical and quirk test. Was I clear?"

She now looks at us with a more serious expression, an intimidating glare in her halo, and a very scary, very scary look.

0"Yes, sensei," all the students say almost in perfect synchrony, probably as scared and surprised as I am.

"Great, the last one to arrive at the field will receive a punishment, now you can go."

And with that, she turns and leaves the room without saying anything else or answering any of the previous questions.

After a few seconds of standing still, everyone gets up and starts walking quickly towards the designated changing rooms.

Tenshi Hikari POV

That was close, I almost attacked the boy who called me an angel. 0That would have ended badly for me, especially now that I know he is All Might's chosen successor, I think as I move to the training ground.

I would have preferred to fly, but my wings would have broken a window in that room, besides these clothes would probably be reduced to ashes due to the speed.

My quirk is powerful and versatile, I admit, but why do I have to look like a damn angel!

I swear that damn Being X probably did this just to annoy me and laugh at me, the scoundrel!

These clothes are a bit annoying, but I need to appeal to everything, even hurting my pride. I need all the resources and favors I can get, as well as all the tricks in the book.

My goal is to become a media icon to have the most peaceful life possible for a professional hero.

I cannot repeat the mistake of being recognized solely for my combat abilities like in my past life, otherwise I would be forced to focus solely on that. The discovery that I can heal with my quirk was fundamental to allow this. Before, I planned to just move between hospitals and disaster zones, just healing, being just an overestimated doctor/first responder would have been the ideal end.

But the Hero Commission started pressing me to make more villain captures, and I wouldn't have come to U.A. if it weren't for that. In reality, I wouldn't have done much, like showing so much skin in public.

The brats must like me as much as possible to be able to establish myself here at UA and be able to avoid the most dangerous fights. Helping Recovery Girl in hospitals to the point of being considered her spiritual successor, and not just cultivating a friendly relationship with her but also having her as my mentor, was just the first step, and now I'm taking my second step towards a peaceful retirement without more conflicts and world wars.

Who am I trying to fool? At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if that damn Being X made the school invaded by villains or bombed, a student kidnapped, dismembered or killed, or even All for One returning from the most dangerous coffin he was in before, or another Mary Sue.

And now that I know All Might's secret, I also know that a violent conflict is approaching, and I know it's inevitable and certain that the ideal scenario where young Midoriya will be ready to take over his mentor's legacy before he is unmasked will not happen. Damn Murphy's Law, I sigh.

Complaining more is just a waste of time and energy. Now I need to make all those brats stronger and more disciplined as possible, but I can't use the same methods as in the 203rd, nor anything so violent and direct.

I spoke with the principal before, obviously, and he gave me the green light to follow the plan for the first day after I explained my reasoning for wanting to focus more on the students' combat capabilities. He even warned me that the teacher from the other hero class decided to join after receiving his notice.

Now that I've arrived at the field, I look around to confirm that everything is in place as planned for today.

Now I just have to wait for the kids to arrive, then I'll do the tests to find out what they are capable of now to create ways to maximize it and erase their weaknesses. It won't be the same way as my old followers, but I will definitely turn the students of Class 1-A into aces of aces, even if I have to appeal, after all, we will need as many combatants as we can gather.

Rejoice, children, I will make you extremely strong in record time HAHAHAHAHAHA.

Obviously, I didn't show my feelings on my face and put on the smile I always show for the cameras, but I wouldn't be surprised if my feelings were leaking a little.

Izuku Midoriya POV

I arrived last at the field because one of the robots distributing the gym uniforms broke down, but I managed in the end. The teacher will understand, right? I hope the punishment isn't too humiliating or that I get expelled.

Calm down, Izuku, it's only the first day, I think as I look at everyone else.

"Izuku Midoriya, you will wait here after class for your punishment." The teacher says as she looks at me.

"Y-yes, m-ma'am!" I respond almost in a panic as everyone looks at me.

I see a professional hero approaching, followed by the same number of students as our entire class arriving at the field. I recognize him as the Blood Hero, Vlad King.

0"Good morning, Class 1-A. I am Sekijiro Kan, better known as the Blood Hero Vlad King and homeroom teacher of Class 1-B."

He said in a formal tone while ignoring the murmuring in both our class and his.

"Good morning, Class 1-B. I am Tenshi Hikari, better known as the Angel of Light, and I am the homeroom teacher of Class 1-A."

The teacher replied in the same formal tone.

"To answer the question of why we are gathered here, let's summarize: it's because of All Might." Vlad King sensei spoke loudly to everyone, generating another murmur.

Which dissipated as soon as Tenshi sensei spoke, "As you all know, it has become public news that the number 1 hero has become a teacher here. It was decided to alter the curriculum of the first hero classes to place more emphasis on your physical and combat abilities."

No one said anything in response.

"Attention, now that everyone is here, you will do a series of 8 physical tests so that we can discover your strengths and weaknesses."

she says with a serious tone.

"They will be softball throw, standing long jump, 50-meter dash, 5-kilometer marathon, grip strength, side step, upper body strength, and seated toe touch."

I started to hear some grumbling, but no one dared to raise their voice in response to the teacher's words.

"But there will be two differences compared to the physical tests you are used to: first, you can use your quirks in any way that improves your performance, as long as you are careful not to hurt your colleagues."

This announcement from Vlad sensei cheered up the others. I even heard some laughter and celebrations, while it only made me more nervous.

"Second, the student with the worst results today will be expelled immediately."

This made everyone stop and stare at the teachers in frightened and nervous silence.

"That's not fair, it's just the first day!" Said the girl who helped me on the entrance exam, named Uraraka, and several students agreed and began to complain about the injustice while I watched in silence.

"Consider this your first lesson at UA: life is unfair. Villain attacks, natural disasters, accidents, bombs, etc., etc. They can happen at any moment to anyone, and there's no guarantee that you'll be prepared for them."

The teacher's explanation silenced everyone.

"Trying to make the world a little fairer is the principle of heroism, so if you can't deal with this little bit of injustice, my advice is to give up now. You only have 3 years to learn to be heroes here, and for some of you, it won't be enough, so if you can't dedicate an obscene number of daily hours to preparatory training to perhaps be useful in the next crisis, give up now so as not to waste your time and that of all the professionals here."

Now everyone was scared. I made a determined expression, and I saw some others doing the same.

"To warm up, let's start with the marathon. Run a lap around the school, with this being the starting and finishing point. You can begin."

She pointed in a direction, and everyone immediately moved forward in determined silence, starting today's first test.

As I ran, I could see how some colleagues used their quirks, like the girl who jumped like a frog further ahead, Bakugou who was sort of flying with explosions in his hands, Iida who was so fast that I already lost sight of him, a boy with white and red hair who froze the ground and skated, another girl dividing her body into parts and floating, and others like me who skipped using their quirks for the marathon, like Uraraka.

The marathon was completed without incident, although I finished last. I really have to do better on the next test.

"The next test will be the toe touch."

We all obeyed the teacher, and I finished last again and also took the longest. I need to do better on the next test.

"The next test will be the side step. Line up over there and keep a distance so you don't get in each other's way."

At the teacher's announcement, we all followed the instructions and began.

It was interesting to see how everyone else used their quirks, like the invisible student who took off her clothes and only moved her shoes, or the girl who splits herself, but I got so distracted watching other people's quirks that I finished last again.

"The next test will be the standing long jump."

The sensei points to the spot with two metal rods supporting a bar between them.

Right, it's going to be painful, but I'm going to use the power of One For All. I'm sure Professor Tenshi will heal me afterward. Why didn't I think of this before?

With my decision made, I watched as the others used their quirks while waiting for my turn, wishing I had brought my notebook to write everything down now.

Right, my turn. With that, I grab the bar, concentrate, and call forth my quirk, then I run and jump.

I almost regretted it immediately because of the overwhelming pain in my legs and the height I'm at. I think it's higher than after punching the zero point.

When I was about to pass out, the pain and the fall abruptly stopped.

When I came to, I was in Tenshi sensei's arms while her light enveloped me and healed me until she put me on the ground, and suddenly I felt much more tired.

I heard sensei's voice while trying to shake off the sudden dizziness. I heard several other voices but understood no words.

Then everything went black.

Sekijiro Kan/Vlad King POV

The teacher laid the boy on the ground and continued applying healing while kneeling beside the boy and ignoring the other children making noise.

While I finished sending a message to Chiyo about what happened.

"Calm down, children, stop making noise and make space."

My words made the surrounding noise diminish enough for me to hear my thoughts again as I put away my cell phone.

"Kan sensei!" The teacher seemed worried, but calmer than me, which is good considering she's a doctor.

Understanding what she meant, "I've already informed Recovery Girl, she's on her way with assistant robots and a stretcher."

My announcement calmed everyone, including myself, who was afraid of bothering the teacher; after all, I may know the basics of first aid, but she's the expert here.

A minute later, three robots arrived, one carrying Ms. Chiyo, a short elderly woman dressed as a doctor, and the other two carrying a stretcher. She got down and approached the assistant teacher. They talked about something too quietly for me to hear, then the lady bent down and kissed the boy. Afterward, the teacher placed the boy on the stretcher, never stopping using her quirk on him.

Our newcomer looked at me with a silent question, "You can go, Tenshi, I'll take care of the other students."

This affirmation resulted in two synchronized nods from the women, and they left with their new patient.

"Alright children, that was scary, I admit, but let's continue the tests."

"But professor, will he be okay?" This question came from a girl in 1-A whose name I forgot, and it further reduced the side conversations.

"We'll have to wait and see, but between Recovery Girls and the Angel of Light's quirks, his chances are pretty high."

Well, that calmed the students. Now, I just need to follow today's plan and hope there isn't another accident. I just jinxed myself, didn't I?

"Next student for the jump, please." The students gradually returned, but with less enthusiasm than at the beginning. 0It was expected, but as I passed by the students to make sure there were no more problems, I heard a short boy with purple hair laughing to himself.

"Tenshi sensei has a really nice ass, her kneeling gave me a privileged view of her black panties under her short skirt, even though white was the expected color, it seems the angel isn't so innocent. Too bad I didn't bring my cell phone to take a picture." I heard him mumbling to himself. This kid could be a problem, I'll warn Tenshi about it.

Notes:

Good afternoon, I just stopped by to inform you that I made some edits to the first and second chapters. For those who don't want to re-read, the main change is that Tanya will replace Aisawa as the teacher of class 1-A and will teach first aid at U.A.

(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)

Tenshi Hikari POV

"This brat is too reckless!" I hear my mentor complain and silently agree, already having experience, I won't interrupt when she's in this mood.

"From what you described, the damage he caused himself managed to be worse than in the entrance exam!"

I only saw the footage later, but it must be true. I know I can trust the teacher's word.

"If you had taken 10 more seconds to take flight, he would have at least lost a leg!" Again, it's true.

"(sigh) This boy is going to be a recurring headache, isn't he?" She says with a disheartened expression.

"Probably yes, hopefully only at the beginning." This draws another sigh from her.

"It will change if my training plan for him works as expected." To which she just nodded.

"Oh yes, you mentioned that before. I hope you're right. I'll inform the director and Toshinori that we've finished treatment and confirmed he'll make a full recovery, provided he follows our guidance."

She really is a very kind woman.

"While I do that, you can drink some water, go to the bathroom, or whatever you do to relax. The next conversation with them might be long."

I did as she said, and while doing these ablutions, I was already trying to anticipate a bit the possible responses from All Might and Principal Nezu to my proposal about my participation in Midoriya's training.

I hope they agree with me; it will make things much easier, I think as I stretch a bit, relieving my arms, back, and wings. It's nice not to have lost the ability to fly, but they're quite annoying sometimes, like when it's necessary to pass through tight spaces or when putting on shirts, coats, and my bra; I have to order a custom-made one because of them.

I finish the thought just in time to return to the infirmary. It's a bit nostalgic now that I think about it. When I studied here with Chiyo sensei, even though it wasn't my best time in this world, it was interesting and opened many possibilities.

"It's been a long time since I've seen you smile like that." I turn and see sensei approaching from the side with her cane. I hadn't noticed her.

"Sensei, please don't scare me like that." She just gives a little smile in response.

"I felt the nostalgia emanating from you. Despite everything, that time I taught you here is a good memory for me."

She replies as she affectionately caresses my face, now being too short to reach the top of my head as before, which reminds me.

I run my hand over her head affectionately, letting my amusement show on my face; she doesn't seem so happy.

"(sigh) All right, Hikari, I apologize for always doing that to you back then, even though you didn't like it."

I didn't stop and also decided it was time to avenge my cheeks.

(knock, knock, knock…) And there goes my revenge.

"Good morning, it's me, Toshinori." All Might himself entered in his skinny form, so to speak, and simply bowed.

"Welcome. Let's sit over there, we have a lot to discuss." Chiyo sensei greets him politely and points to a metal table and chairs that weren't there before; she must have had the robots fetch them while I was out.

With everyone seated. "Let me serve the tea if you wish before we begin." The sensei offered.

"If you would be so kind." "Thank you, sensei" were our respective responses.

As soon as she finished serving the tea, we began our impromptu meeting.

"So let's start by reviewing the events that led to now so we're all on the same page." I began, and everyone looked at me.

"After the meeting of the two hero classes at the training ground, everything proceeded without incident until the standing long jump test, which is when Mr. Midoriya decided to use his quirk in the jump."

My words drew the full attention of both of them.

"Recalling what I saw in the entrance exam footage, I immediately took flight behind the young man, caught him in the air almost unconscious, and began to heal him immediately while bringing him to the ground and laying him there. Professor Vlad King called sensei and calmed the other children while this was happening."

Toshinori let out a sigh.

"I continued healing until sensei's arrival, who promptly used her quirk to limit the potential damage from my own. We brought him here to apply serum and a multivitamin to prevent dehydration and anemia respectively, although he is now at risk of diabetes as a consequence. We are still waiting for the test result to know if my healing caused the worst outcome."

Sensei nodded, as she already knew how my quirk worked, and Toshinori, who did not look at me worriedly.

"It seems you weren't informed about the differences between my and sensei's quirks."

"Unfortunately yes, do you mind giving me a summary?"

"No problem, I can absorb sunlight and spend it in various ways, like healing, although my quirk is better described as a super acceleration in regeneration, working as follows: once my 'light' has entered the body and begun the process, all light that comes afterward is converted into glucose within the body, which in turn is consumed to fuel this regeneration."

Everyone listened to me in silence.

"That's why its use doesn't consume the body's stamina like sensei's, but it has its own disadvantages instead."

"Rarely is all the extra glucose consumed, so prolonged or repeated uses can cause diabetes or other problems that excess sugar causes."I paused to breathe and take a sip of tea.

"But the real problem, so to speak, is that my quirk has no stabilizing mechanism, so to speak."

"What do you mean by that?" Mr. All Might seemed calmer now and more curious; sensei listened without interrupting.

"The forced acceleration in regeneration increases the chances of errors in cell division, consequently causing an increase in the chances of cancers, which does not happen when sensei heals, as her power has this stabilizer." He seemed alarmed for a second but quickly regained control.

"I understand, so that's why he's being examined. Thank you both for helping him and for the explanation."

While bowing his head in gratitude.

"No need to bow your head, we just did our job." I said in a professional and, dare I say, good-humored tone.

"Now that we've got the explanations out of the way, I believe it's time to talk about the future." The sensei interrupted him before he could respond, directing the conversation back to the original topic.

"Yes, sensei." "Sorry, you're right, Chiyo."

"The reason I wanted to talk to you is about Midoriya's training."

He doesn't seem very surprised by my words.

"I can imagine that his feat today put my instructing abilities in check." He replies in a calm tone.

"This isn't about your capabilities as a teacher." This seems to surprise him a little.

"Initially, I planned to play a secondary role in his education, but the feat convinced me that we need to work together in sync for him to survive long enough to reach his full potential."

"There's also Murphy's Law to watch out for, although even I admit I hate that this is a valid argument."

My words made him thoughtful, but with no signs of rejection, anger, or pride.

Good, he thinks rationally. I feared he would be as idealistic and naive as the media portrays him.

"You're right, young Tenshi, between my duties as the Symbol of Peace and this job, I would have very little time to dedicate to young Midoriya." We listened to him in silence.

"I'm sure the same goes for you. Between helping at the hospital, your work here, and your work as a hero, you're also very busy."

“You're right, our joint approach has a better chance of success, and I admit, I also don't like that this law is a valid argument." Her words, as she looked me in the eyes, reassured me.

"Thank you for agreeing, this makes things much easier." I reply without needing to feign gratitude or hide my excitement at the success.

"Now, as a first step, we need to know how you were trained, how you intended to adapt those methods to your successor, and how your quirk works. Of course, you don't need to say anything personal or reveal secrets, just share what will be relevant for young Midoriya's training." My words made him thoughtful until he spoke.

"Alright, this conversation could be long. Do we have enough time?" He asks in a resolute tone.

"I have two hours until my next class, and you don't need to worry about being overheard; the principal has already ensured that won't happen." This reassures him.

With a sigh, he begins, "To start, One For All is the name of my quirk, and it works like this..."

Notes:

Question Does anyone know which sites Ao3 accepts images from? I've tried Imgur and Pinterest and it didn't work.
My last question is if anyone knows what subject Vlad King teaches?

Bakugou Katsuki POV

Damn Deku, that useless idiot with that quirk he pulled out of his ass. The fool lied to me for years pretending he didn’t have a quirk, and now he’s getting hurt using it.

“Good job everyone. Here is the ranking with today’s results, separated by class.” I look at the vampire as he displays the rankings. I only look at my class—no reason to pay attention to these damn extras.

What the hell is this? Third place? That’s wrong!
“Vampire, are you sure this list is correct?” I hold back my rage to hear his answer.
“The list is accurate. Use my hero name or call me ‘professor.’ Was I clear?” He looks at me seriously, as if that would intimidate me.
“Then why the hell am I not in first place?” He looks a bit perplexed, and I hear the extras whispering.
“Logically, because you didn’t have the best performance in your class today.”
Is he mocking me!?

“Professor, so am I being expelled?” some random extra interrupts, reminding me of that. Great, I won’t have to deal with Deku again after that suicidal idiot gets kicked out, along with that extra.

“No one is being expelled today. That was an empty threat made to push you to do your best today, instead of using some inspirational speech.”
What a disappointment, I think, as I hear the extras sigh in relief.
“That was a really obvious tactic,” says the big-boobed ponytail girl. I need to come up with a nickname for her soon.

“Today it was just a bluff, but remember—it could become real if you don’t put in effort. There are many students in other courses who’d love to replace you if given the chance. If any of you start performing worse than them, that will be the opportunity.”
Seriously, if anyone got here without putting in the work, they deserve to be replaced.

“Now go back to the locker rooms, get changed, and then you’re free to go to lunch. Make sure to check your schedule so you don’t miss the next class.”
I left after that. No reason to stay.
Now that I remember, our next class is first aid with that teacher. What a waste—I’m a hero, not a damn paramedic.

Shoto Todoroki POV

When I arrived in the classroom for the first class after lunch, which would be taught by our advisor teacher, I was a bit worried since she disappeared after taking the injured student to the infirmary. Even though his leg injuries are serious, I don’t want to waste time staring at nothing. Not that I wish him harm or anything like that.

I sat in my assigned seat and waited. I heard a few whispers, but I didn’t pay attention, just like with the others who arrived later. I also heard the usual sounds—phones, doors opening and closing.

The class gradually quieted down and everyone took their seats. When the bell rang signaling the start of class, Professor Tenshi entered the room at the same time and took her place at the front desk, facing us.

“Good afternoon, everyone.” She greeted us formally, just like in the morning, but I could tell she was in a much better mood now.
“Professor, is Midoriya-san okay?” asked the brown-haired girl again, so concerned she stood up.
“He’s fine and will fully recover by tomorrow, as long as he follows medical advice.” That calmed her, and me too—not that I wanted the boy to die or anything.

“If you’d like, you may visit him in the infirmary after class.” She nodded and sat down.

“Now let’s begin the first aid class. To start, I believe I should remind you why it’s important that you pay close attention to what I’ll be teaching you. It may not only save your own lives but also prevent the deaths of others.” She had the full attention of the class as she began her lecture.

“In the same way, a mistake can easily worsen an injury or cause an avoidable death.”
That’s true—I need to be careful with everything.

“By the end of this course, it’s expected that all of you will be able to administer first aid to both yourselves and others.”

“Some of you might be thinking, ‘We’re heroes, not medics.’ So consider this scenario: a random civilian is injured, whether by a villain or an accident. If left untreated, they won’t survive until the ambulance arrives. You will be the difference between life and death for that person. Now replace that random civilian with someone you know or someone from your family.”
A chill ran down my spine at the thought of my mother or siblings hurt and burned by my father. Judging by the reactions and gestures, I wasn’t the only one imagining the worst-case scenario.

“Let’s start by getting familiar with what’s inside a basic first aid kit.” She took out a white box decorated with red crosses from under her desk and placed it on top.

Izuku Midoriya POV

When I opened my eyes, I didn’t recognize the ceiling above me. I tried to sit up immediately, but someone placed a cane in front of me, stopping me. I looked to the side and saw Recovery Girl glaring at me, and All Might in his true form with a serious expression.

Then I remembered what happened that led to this situation. Crap! How could I have made such a mistake? I should’ve known better. Everyone must be so disappointed in me. Mr. Toshinori will probably choose another successor now, someone who doesn’t cause so many problems like me.

“Young Midoriya, you were very reckless today.” The fact that my idol’s words were true made them hurt even more.

“According to the report from Professor Tenshi and Recovery Girl, the damage to your legs now was worse than during the entrance exam.” I didn’t dare say anything in response or look anywhere but the floor.

“If your teacher had been even one second later in flying to you, it could’ve easily cost you an entire leg.” Now that was terrifying to imagine. I need to thank Tenshi-sensei.

(sound of an alarm)
Everyone looked at Recovery Girl, who simply pulled out her phone and silenced the alarm.
“It’s time to remove the IV,” she said seriously.
I looked at my arm and saw a thin tube connected to it—I hadn’t even noticed it before.
“Give me your arm,” she ordered. I obeyed and watched her fiddle with the machine on the other end of the tube. I wasn’t sure what she did exactly—maybe turned it off.

Then she placed gauze over the needle, grabbed the plastic piece between the tube and the needle, and pulled while pressing the gauze against my arm, making me hiss in pain.
“Keep pressing the gauze until the bleeding stops.”
I obeyed again—I didn’t want to add bleeding to my current problems.
“Yes, ma’am.” I held the gauze to my arm while watching her walk away with the IV machine.

“So Chiyo, sorry for making a scene in front of you.” I saw Mr. Toshinori bow his head to Recovery Girl.
“No problem. I was going to scold him myself for that stunt, but it’s good you did it first to save me the energy.” That exchange reminded me of the situation I was in, and I couldn’t help but shudder.

“I’ll get back to the scolding in a minute. First, I have to inform you of the changes to your training.” That caught my attention—so I wasn’t expelled from the school or rejected by my idol?

“Tenshi and I have talked and decided that you, young Midoriya, will undergo an extra training regimen in addition to what the other students do.” I gave my full attention to his words.

“Starting tomorrow, you’ll arrive one hour earlier than your classmates to begin this new regimen, in addition to regular checkups here with Chiyo. You’ll also be seeing a quirk counselor regularly your teacher, who already knows the secret, so you won’t have to hide anything from her. She’ll also be monitoring your training when I can’t.”

“Yes, sir!” I couldn’t hide my excitement at the news. Not only do I have another chance, but I’ll have amazing heroes helping me. I’m just a bit nervous about the quirk counseling, but Tenshi-sensei saved me earlier, so she must be very kind and gentle like an angel.

“Now, young Midoriya, never do something so reckless again. Am I clear?” So we’re back to the scolding, huh?

Chapter 5: dinner

Tenshi Hikari POV

This day was much longer than I expected, even though it wasn’t so exhausting. But it's nothing compared to my wartime days, so I can’t complain as much as I’d like. At least I can finally get rid of this annoyingly tight skirt—why would anyone willingly wear something like this?

"I'm home," I announced in typical Japanese fashion as I opened the door to the luxury apartment.

"Hey, Hika-chan!" A blonde teenager with blue eyes, fangs, and several thin braids greeted me cheerfully from the kitchen. I couldn’t identify what she was cooking from the smell, but it seemed good.

"Good evening, Toga. And I’ve told you not to call me that." I really wish she’d stop, but I’m already losing hope.

"But it suits you so well." She pouted cutely—I’ll admit—but that doesn’t change anything.

"I’m never wearing something like this again, nor will I follow your fashion advice." I told her while heading to my room to remove this annoying outfit.

"But you looked so pretty and sexy in it, and your body is so beautiful—it's almost a crime to hide it now, unlike before when you didn’t." She looked at me incredulously as if I were the irrational one.

"I was forced to before. Besides, it was a valid way to gain fame and money quickly. I don’t need to do that anymore—I already achieved the goal that motivated me to take this job." I repeated the explanation once again, somewhat exasperated.

"You were the one who asked for clothes that made you look pretty, friendly to kids, and professional at the same time—although to me, you’re always beautiful!" She walked into my room, approached, and hugged me from behind as she said this.

"Flattery won’t get you anywhere. And keep an eye on the stove while you’re cooking—I don’t want burned food, and neither do you." In response, she let go of me and ran back to the kitchen with a groan.

I took a relaxing bath in the enormous bathtub I bought to accommodate my wings—totally deserved luxury. I paid for it.

I put on a comfortable pair of black sweatpants and a white shirt that’s almost like an apron since it's fully open in the back for my wings. Sometimes I wish I didn’t need to wear any other kind of clothes, but you can’t have everything. That shirt definitely wouldn’t belong at a formal event. With these comfy clothes on, I headed to the kitchen to confirm whether or not I’d need to order delivery.

Fortunately, I reminded Toga in time before anything burned. "You’ve improved your cooking, Toga." It’s important to praise subordinates’ accomplishments, after all.

"Thank you, Hika-chan!" She gave a big smile, a blush I didn’t understand, and seemed even more excited—if that’s even possible.
"Can I ask for a reward?" Then she gave me a more mischievous smile at the end. I think I already know where this is going and couldn’t help letting out a sigh.

"Your blood supplements aren’t gone yet, so no sucking my blood—after all, it’s only been three days." My words earned another cute pout from her, but I won’t back down.

"Hika-chan, I don’t constantly think about blood anymore. Have a little more faith in me." I don’t know what face she made while saying that because as soon as the word “faith” came out of her mouth, I looked around for Being X—that damn bastard. Not finding him, I returned my gaze to her.

"Hey, are you okay?" she asked, looking confused by my behavior.

"Yeah, I just thought I saw something related to what you were talking about." I replied calmly, trying to change the subject.

"I was going to ask to spend the night here—if that’s okay." She spoke in a more timid tone while touching her index fingers together.

"Did you fight with your parents again?" She seemed startled by my question, judging by the little jump she gave.

"Yeah," she answered in a discouraged tone, shoulders slumping.

"Want to talk about it?" I decided to give her the option rather than press for answers—after all, she’s just a girl I hired out of pity to be a kind of housekeeper.

Toga just shook her head no. "Alright—just make sure to message them to avoid confusion. And don’t sneak into my bed again." I couldn’t help adding that, though I’m starting to lose hope that she’ll actually respect that last part.

She smiled brightly and nodded, but said nothing. "That reminds me—are your parents against you working here?"

"What? No! They’re super happy you hired me and helped with my quirk and the medical exams that found the real issue." That was a bit reassuring. I really don’t want to deal with a lawsuit or a misunderstanding.

"Alright then, let’s go to bed. I have to wake up early tomorrow." That got her attention.

"Huh? But didn’t you say you negotiated with the principal not to do any city patrols?"

"That’s correct—but I need to keep the reason secret. It has to do with All Might, and I can’t tell you anything else." I now saw her getting more curious and looking like she wanted to ask—but managed to hold back.

"Okay, I won’t ask or tell. But in exchange, we’re sharing the bed tonight." She clapped her hands and gave a huge smile, looking very proud of herself.

"That’s fair—in exchange for your silence." Sometimes I wonder what would’ve happened if instead of helping her when she attacked me, I’d just treated her like any normal villain. Every time she acts like this, I feel a little regret—but she has been useful as a housekeeper, helps me with paperwork, and I can send her to run errands for me.

She may not have Visha’s level, but she makes good coffee—and that’s one of the most important things in my opinion.
"Alright—but no clinging to me during the night."

Chapter 6: Images

Chapter Text

I finally figured out how to put images here, I just had to upload them to Ingur, Ao3 accepts links from it.

Here are some AI arts I made for this fanfic

This is the base appearance of Tanya or Tenshi in this fanfic

This is the chibi version of her

This was the first result when I asked for that Tanya with a superhero outfit without any other details

This was the rejected version of Tanya's hero costume.

This is the second rejected version of the uniform

Now I'm working with this as a base for her hero uniform. I haven't decided yet whether to use this design or go back to the previous bodysuit. I'm open to suggestions

Izuku Midoriya POV

Waking up an hour earlier and getting to school was easier than I initially thought, although I can see how it might get annoying if I have to do it every day.

I went to the room Mr. Toshinori mentioned and knocked on the door. When I entered, I saw him in his real form and Tenshi-sensei inside the room, talking about something in a voice too low for me to hear, stopping when I closed the door.

"Welcome, young Midoriya. Have a seat."
It’s kind of strange seeing him so serious, while sensei just nodded her head.

"Let’s not waste any more time. Today, we’ll set the pace and try to take the first step toward you having control over One For All." She said in a serious tone, without the formality from yesterday, and I nodded.

"First, a rule, young Midoriya: you are forbidden from using your Quirk without supervision until further notice. I believe I don’t need to explain why."

I flinched in response—and it’s true, I can’t even protest, especially after Recovery Girl showed me the videos of the two times I hurt myself, either of which could have killed me if no one had helped.

"Y-yes, s-sir!"

"You may sit down, Midoriya." Only then did I realize I was the only one standing, so I obeyed silently.

"You need to work on your situational awareness, but that can wait until you’re not at risk of maiming yourself with your own power."
Right, no protests there.

"Let’s start from the beginning—what does One For All feel like to you? What do you feel when you use it, and what do you know about it?"

"I-I don’t know how One For All works… I feel it as a kind of warmth or something inside me, but very faint when I’m not using it. But when I do use it, it’s like I’m an egg in a microwave about to explode. I don’t know if that’s the best description, but that’s how I feel it."

My nervousness faded as I kept talking; they listened without reacting.

"Warmth, huh?"
The teacher put her hand to her chin and looked thoughtful.

"I won’t question why you haven’t informed him about how his power works," she said to Mr. Toshinori, showing her disapproval, and he looked away from her without saying anything.

"Midoriya, does your power hurt you as soon as it’s activated, or only when you try to release it?"

They both looked at me, waiting.

"I-I’m not sure."
I said, already taking out my notebook to write things down.

"I asked because, from the description your mentor gave me, there are some similarities between our powers."

That caught my attention—I didn’t know whether to ask about Tenshi-sensei’s Quirk or One For All, but then I remembered that for some reason Mr. Toshinori decided not to tell me about his Quirk. He must have a good reason.

"How does your Quirk work, Tenshi-sensei?"
I didn’t even try to hide my enthusiasm and curiosity with the question I’d been wanting to ask since yesterday.

"In short, I can absorb sunlight and store it in my halo. From there, I can spend it in various ways."

She said, pointing to the halo above her head, and I wrote everything down on the page already dedicated to her.

"Like the healing you experienced firsthand, but I’m talking about the ability to increase my own physical abilities and those of others."

I already knew she could do that, but learning how it works internally is fascinating. I also didn’t know she could boost her own abilities—she usually stays in a support role, healing, boosting allies, or creating bright lights to blind villains in her most famous fights, which reminds me—

"How do the light flashes work? How much light can you store? How does the halo work? How does the healing work? How does the—"

I only stopped when the teacher snapped her fingers in front of my face several times, leaving me completely red while she looked exasperated and Mr. Toshinori seemed somewhere between uncomfortable and amused.

"Now that you’ve calmed down, let’s get back to the main topic."
I was completely embarrassed.

"As I was saying, my body strengthening is similar to what One For All provides in terms of risk—if my body is overloaded with energy, it gets damaged in the same way. That’s why we’re going to test this theory now."

She had my full attention, speaking in a serious, formal tone.

"First, I want you to relax, close your eyes, and activate your Quirk without focusing it anywhere in your body, and don’t make any movements—just stand still. Was I clear?"

I nodded in response, suppressing a shiver as I anticipated pain and injuries, but with their help it should be fine—sensei can heal me if it goes wrong.

I closed my eyes and activated One For All. I stayed still, trying not to direct it anywhere in my body. The sensation of it flowing through me was a bit strange, almost like some kind of electricity, but it wasn’t as painful as before. It’s like being electrocuted, I guess, but it didn’t hurt as much, and I didn’t feel injured—just a slight tingling and a dull ache all over my body, at least at first. I could feel the tingling fading and the pain increasing a bit.

"You can stop now, young Midoriya."

I obeyed—or at least tried.
When I opened my eyes, I could see small arcs of electricity running along my body, which also had a strange glow beneath my skin. I tried again, and this time I managed to deactivate it, seeing the glow fade and the arcs slowly stop.

I couldn’t help but smile at that, and I saw a proud but worried smile from my mentor and a polite nod from Tenshi-sensei.

I looked down at myself and hissed in pain, even though it was already fading. I felt something fall onto my shirt—looking down, I saw a bit of blood. I put my hand to my nose and realized immediately that it was bleeding.

"It seems the theory was correct—you have the same problem I had when I was younger. Your body must be trained to handle large concentrations of energy and the sudden increase in physical abilities beyond normal biological limits."

She stood up and approached me while speaking, her hands starting to glow. When she projected the light into me, the pain just disappeared, and I felt much better than before. She handed me a cloth, and I cleaned my nose, mouth, and clothes.

Immediately afterward, I started writing everything in my notebook—not just what sensei said but also what I felt while it was active and afterward.

"How do you feel now, young Midoriya?"

He looked worried but calmer after sensei’s healing, while she tossed the cloth into the trash and sat back down.

"I feel great—it’s the first time I’ve managed to use it without broken bones or almost dying!"

Toshinori-san must have felt my enthusiasm because he smiled along with me.

"Now, Midoriya, starting tomorrow, we’re going to have sessions like this at the beginning and end of class until you can do this without getting hurt, and at the same time, you’ll do special endurance training in addition to your regular class training. Hopefully, you’ll have enough control over your power before you suffer any damage from my healing."

I looked at the teacher, but before I could ask, Mr. Might interrupted.

"Young Midoriya, don’t rely on your teacher’s healing, because if used too much, it harms the body."

His tone was serious as he spoke; the earlier smile had vanished at some point.

"What do you mean?!" I replied, alarmed.

"My healing, so to speak, is actually targeted body strengthening. Instead of boosting all physical abilities equally, I focus only on boosting your natural regeneration. But of course, it has consequences—any ‘light’ not consumed in healing turns into sugar in your body, which can cause diabetes, and the acceleration of regeneration increases your chances of developing cancer." Her tone was a very scary warning.

I turned back to Tenshi-sensei’s page and wrote everything down until the reality of what she just said hit me.

"So, it’s best you learn to control it quickly, or your medical problems will get more complicated than simple wounds."

I swallowed hard in response, feeling more nervous as the implications of her words sank in.

"That said, I’m not sure if One For All can be focused on just one aspect of the reinforcement it gives you. That’s something to be tested once you have more control. Was I clear?"

She looked very intimidating, and Mr. Toshinori also looked at me seriously.

"Y-yes, ma’am!"

There was simply no other way to respond—she’s very intimidating, but at the same time, she’s concerned about me and is being so attentive and caring. She truly deserves to be called an angel.

Chapter Text

Uraraka Ochaco POV

I arrived at the auditorium with Deku and Lida for our first class with All Might, our foundational heroism teacher and we couldn't be more excited although Deku was more animated than me and Lida together, crazy, right?

"So I was right, it's the same auditorium from the entrance exam."

I looked around after Lida-kun spoke and it's true, we're in the same auditorium but much emptier compared to the last time I was here.

Entering the place we saw some classmates from our class and some students from 1-B as well, so this will be a joint class like yesterday. It makes sense the number one hero must be very busy I think or is it just the first week?

I hope no one gets hurt this time.

Several students from both classes entered through the door as time went on, and as class time approached, everyone was in a nervous silence and they weren't wrong about it.

(Sound of the bell)

"I'm entering through the door like a normal person!!" I looked at the door in response to the words and I could see the entrance, All Might himself in his hero costume I couldn't help but widen my eyes and gasp and I wasn't the only one after all one thing is knowing that he will teach another is seeing him right in front of you in the room looking around I can see many agape but none as much as Deku.

"We have no time to lose, this is what we will do today!" He held up a paper with the word ‘battle’ written on it.

"And for that you will use this!" He presses a button on a small remote that no one had noticed was in his hand until now.

When he pressed a button, several lockers came out of the walls with numbers from one to twenty on both sides, those on the right side were red and those on the left side were bluish.

"According to your quirk registry and the special request forms you submitted earlier, these are your hero costumes!" I couldn't help but scream with euphoria in response and I saw several celebrating like me or just breaking into huge smiles, some beautiful others quite scary.

"On the right side are the uniforms for 1-A and on the left those for 1-B according to your seat numbers!" Everyone stood up immediately to get their uniforms in the boxes without waiting for any order, me included.

"Get your uniforms, change in the locker rooms and then go to training ground C!" At the same time, he grabbed a remote from somewhere and a map of U.A appeared highlighting the places he spoke about and indicating the way from here.

"I'll meet you there!" And with that he left the room as quickly and abruptly as he entered before he was really fast.

After an awkward silence that lasted I don't know how long everyone got their uniforms in a controlled chaos and we left the room towards the locker rooms the boys went to the male and we entered ours.

I opened my suitcase and I could see my uniform a pink and black bodysuit with silver details, an astronaut helmet with a pink visor, bulky pink boots and armbands of the same color.

Exactly what I asked for but after dressing I was in doubt because this outfit shows too much of my butt but when I looked around and saw Yaoyorozu's outfit I put my complaint aside I could see many girls also staring at her not only at the extremely revealing clothes but also her huge breasts.

Noticing she was being stared at, she looked from side to side, blushed and tried to cover herself with her hands.

"Don't look at me like that, my quirk requires exposed skin!" I looked away and I don't know if the others did too.

If I remember correctly, she creates objects with her body or takes them out from there.

I looked at the other girls realizing that most chose bodysuits and are in the same situation as me although with different colors and themes with the exception of Kyouka who looks like a rocker and the girl from 1-B with plant hair who wore a Greek toga I think? and the girl with the giant hands with a Chinese dress.

I left the locker room with the girls from my class all too nervous even to talk among ourselves on the way to training ground C I saw that it was one of the fake cities from the entrance exam and most of the boys were already there, some of them seemed more relaxed than us as they were talking among themselves.

All Might sensei (I really need to get used to calling him that) appeared and looked from side to side.

"Now that we're all gathered we can begin!"

"Sensei this looks like the urban landscape area we used in the admission. Are we going to do urban maneuvers?"

Lida-kun's voice sounded a little metallic inside the helmet.

All Might shook his head. "No, today we'll be moving on to phase two. Indoor anti-personnel battle training! Although most confrontations against villains occur in the open, the most cowardly and heinous villains often have illicit business locations away from curious eyes or lairs that they fortify against discovery and invasion. Don't be fooled! Fighting villains indoors is dangerous, but sometimes you have no choice!"

Another reminder of the dangers of being a hero but I will continue. I need the money to help my family.

"What you will do now is divide into villain and hero teams and you will face each other in 4v4 battles!"

Everyone started asking all kinds of questions - like why we are doing this without training, how we win, how they should divide the teams, how we win and so on.

"The teams will be decided by lottery!" The teacher grabbed a box and showed it to everyone, then put his hand inside looking for the first name.

It took longer than I thought, but here is the new chapter. I'm not going to make excuses, I was just playing Silksong, the game is really good.

Chapter Text

Itsuka Kendo POV

"That concludes the teams for today's exercise! The teams will not be changed! Now I will explain how the training will work..." While our teacher, All Might himself, was speaking, I looked at my teammates: Tetsutetsu from my class, the brown-haired girl with the quirk that makes everything she touches float, if I understood correctly, and the boy who hurt himself yesterday with his own quirk. I'm glad he's okay, but I'm worried about both our chances of winning and him getting hurt again, or any of us.

"Teacher Tenshi and Recovery Girl will be on standby to treat any injuries that occur, but be careful nonetheless!" We all watched our teacher as he drew lots for the first matchup.

"The first match will be Team A as heroes against Team D as villains! Each team will have 15 minutes to come up with a strategy!" The other team went to the building to come up with their strategy and hide the bomb while we gathered.

"To start, tell me how your quirks work and you can suggest strategies or if you know anything about the other team's quirks." Everyone looked at me when I spoke.

"My name is Itsuka Kendo. My quirk allows me to grow my hands and also gives me enhanced strength and endurance." I try to break the ice and stop wasting time.

"My name is Tetsutetsu. My individuality is iron skin, so leave the vanguard to me! I'll be the tank of this team!" He's already enthusiastic, and it's good that he did that while assigning himself a role.

The girl perks up in response and begins. "My name is Uraraka, and my quirk is anti-gravity. I can nullify the gravity of anything or anyone I touch." Sounds pretty useful for capturing them.

"Mm-my n-name is m-Midoriya, my quirk is like super strength, but it can destroy my body if I lose control, so it's kind of a double-edged sword." He's shaking and stuttering a lot. Uraraka touched his shoulder in support, making him even more nervous than before, if that was possible.

"It's better not to use your individuality unless it's necessary, then. I thought of a simple strategy: while TetsuTetsu and I distract them, Uraraka surprises them and floats them, then you tie them up with the capture tape. What do you think?"

The three of them stopped to think, and I got two nods from the two from Class A, but my colleague. "It's not manly to hide and attack from behind. I'm against it! But I understand that we can't lose in front of Number One. But a team member can't use their power. I accept it under protest!"

At least he accepted it, but I could see that his words visibly discouraged the boy, who didn't cheer up even when Uraraka put her hand on his shoulder in support, and I let out a sigh.

"Now, the peculiarities of the enemy team: Tsuburaba can create walls of air, and Monoma can copy the individualities of anyone he touches. He'll be the most difficult to deal with, depending on who he copies. From your class, one is fast and the other creates explosions, right?"

"L-Lida has a peculiarity in his legs that gives him speed, and Kaachan has nitroglycerin, so it's actually his sweat that explodes..."

(...)

"Preparation time is over! Begin!" We advanced together toward the building where Team D was waiting for us. After all, we all want to impress All Might.

The main entrance to the building was empty of both enemies and traps. "They probably hid the bomb on the third or fourth floor, let's go up quickly and watch out for ambushes."

"Yes, ma'am!" came the reply from my classmate. The two from the other class just nodded before starting to look around as we advanced to the stairs, the only obstacle being some air walls from Tsuburaba on some doors and stairs, but I managed to break them all.

When we reached the second floor, we saw Bakugou and Monoma advancing toward us. I tried to strike the first one, and Tetsutetsu struck the second, revealing that he had copied the explosive boy by unleashing explosions on him, but he withstood it with his individuality. Bakugou managed to dodge my blow by propelling himself with his explosions and then advanced straight ahead, trying to attack Midoriya as expected.

"If you get in my way, I'll kill you, big hands!" I would have been more angry about the nickname if it weren't for the plan.

"Die now, Deku!" Midoriya managed to grab his arm and throw him over his shoulder with an almost perfect judo move, but it worked, and adding insult to injury, when he tried to get up, I punched him as hard as I could right in the stomach, knocking the wind out of him, and Uraraka promptly tied him up with the capture tape. I punched him again when he tried to move, stealing(I have the right to be angry about what he said before).

"Bakugou Katsuki has been captured!" He stopped moving at the announcement and gave me an evil look that scared me a little, I admit.

I looked over at Tetsutetsu, who was still fighting Monoma, although he was panicking when he realized what was about to happen. My partner is just covered in soot and a few dents; his quirk withstood everything Monoma threw at him.

I moved forward in an attempt to strike from the opposite side where Tetsutetsu was. Monoma noticed and threw an explosion at me, knocking me away but distracting him, allowing Tetsutetsu to withstand the blows with his iron limbs. He was knocked unconscious on the third strike, and Uraraka approached and tied him up with her capture tape.

"Monoma has been captured!" I let out a sigh at the teacher's announcement and looked at my teammates to confirm that everyone was okay. We advanced to the stairs, encountering many more air walls than on the first floor, blocking internal corridors and doors in an obvious attempt to delay us. rooms, and doors in an obvious attempt to slow us down. To my frustration, it was working too well. After all, he had placed them annoyingly close together, creating a scenario where we would break one only to come face to face with another less than 5 centimeters away.

When we finally reached the third floor and I saw the bomb, Tsuburaba and the other boy from 1-A, Tetsutetsu, immediately rushed forward out of anger, frustration, or urgency. After all, there were only two minutes left now, only to hit another wall of air head-on. It was obvious in retrospect, so I punched forward, breaking another one, but I still feel stupid. At least two walls of air were broken with that.

"Welcome to our lair, heroes, we've been waiting for you!" He let out an evil laugh like a stereotypical villain from a children's cartoon and struck a dramatic pose with his arms outstretched.

"And you won't get past here!" Tsuburaba said in the same tone, although he seemed a little out of breath and not nearly as excited. He then took a deep breath and exhaled, undoubtedly using his quirk again.

I punched forward, breaking another wall, and I could hear Tetsutetsu breaking another, but I stopped when I heard it. "M-make room, I'm going to use my quirk," I barely heard him, moved away, and pulled our tank just in time to see Midoriya with his eyes closed, concentrating, covered in green lightning and red lines covering his body.

He then struck a pose as if he were about to throw a punch, opened his eyes, looked at the enemy team and the bomb, and with a shout of "smash" imitating All Might, threw a punch that created a violent wind in front of him with an incredible shock wave that pushed us all away from him.

His quirk is very powerful, not only breaking the walls of air in front of him, but also the actual walls and ceiling of the building. He also threw the bomb and the enemy team out of the building. I can see the two of them hanging on the outside wall, trying to climb back up slowly, looking dirty and injured.

When they came back inside, we heard, "Time's up. Team A heroes lost." We all turned to Midoriya in unison. I don't know what expression I had on my face, but it must have been very scary because he immediately knelt down, apologizing and stammering nervously.

Tenshi Hikari POV

These battle-crazed idiots are everywhere, aren't they? I suppose this profession attracts them en masse, like the army. I know how to deal with these kinds of idiots, but I'd still rather not have to deal with them because they cause so many headaches.

I couldn't help but sigh as I watched the internal combat exercise in the infirmary near the fake city on the screen.

My explosive student is very talented, and I praise him for that, but talent only determines what he can do. It is behavior and discipline that determine how far each person can go, and Bakugou has terrible behavior with one of the worst tempers I've ever seen, socially isolating him from allies and severely limiting his potential.

His pride and arrogance will be the first problem, followed closely by his fixation on Midoriya. But he has too much raw talent to expel him based on behavior alone. At least he is disciplined with training, based on the muscles he boasts at such a young age, but only in that regard. His discipline in the classroom is tolerable at best. I will have to think of a way to correct him and teach him.

Mr. Number One's pupil, on the other hand, is a problem of a different nature. He is well-behaved and polite in class, but too shy to use that to his advantage. Points to him for at least not antagonizing anyone. In fact, my problem with him is his recklessness, impulsiveness, and lack of attention to his surroundings, which, ironically, he shares with his explosive classmate.

His lack of control over his power will be corrected with training, but his shy and withdrawn personality makes it difficult for him to take the initiative or even leadership, which gives me an idea of how to correct this.

"That smile tells me you're thinking about something interesting. Would you mind sharing it with me?" I look at my former teacher across the table calmly drinking her tea.

"I think I have the beginning of a plan to make Bakugou and Midoriya less of a problem, although I'm still in the planning stages for Miss Uraraka and Iida. I'm a little undecided about the approach for the latter; I've never dealt with someone like that before." I took a sip of tea when I finished speaking while waiting for her to respond.

"I understand what you mean. I suggest checking their records before UA. That might give you some ideas on how to approach the situation. Maybe talk to his parents or coaches as well." I think about her suggestion and see the merits. The first suggestion has already been accepted. I wanted to mentally kick myself for not thinking of it before. The second one may be problematic, but it has solid merits.

"Good point, I forgot I had that option. Thank you, Chiyo-sensei." She gave me a nod. The ideas this is giving me for training, you won't be disappointed, kids.

This is Tanya in pants, it looks so much better than the before picture that this will be her base look from now on.

Chapter 9 – Tenshi Hikari POV

The very nature of the powers in this peculiar world dictates that the same standard training for everyone does not work. It’s a bit irritating, but there’s nothing to do; in this regard, it’s necessary to create an individual and personalized training regimen for each student, and that requires time not only to understand the power of that student but also the student themselves.

The plan was to take from three days to a whole week to observe the students and understand their strengths and weaknesses as well as their training methods. That stunt from Midoriya on the first day made me worried at first, but it seems I will complete the initial schedule within the time limit. I really was afraid I would have to delay everything just because of him I’m glad it wasn’t necessary.

But he is still a problem because I can’t pressure him in quirk training without killing him in the process, at least for now. I will give him two months of reduced quirk training, but in exchange, he will have double the physical training for now, together with Mineta, who is another problem boy. Honestly, regardless of the usefulness of his quirk and his high grades, I would already have expelled him because of his personality I only haven’t done it because I’m not sure of the director’s reaction. On one hand, it’s possible that he will accept without questioning, like with Eraserhead, but I don’t have his trust like the underground hero does.

This class is full of problem boys Bakugou and Todoroki and their respective arrogances: the first thinking himself invincible, and the second refusing to use half of his power due to some nonsensical logic involving his father. Well, Bakugou was defeated, and I’ll have to keep an eye on him to deal with him quickly if his behavior regresses to the bullying he did before with Midoriya or if he tries to attack another student. I’m glad I checked both their school records (I still want to kick myself mentally for not having thought of that before), or I could have been caught off guard. It’s also concerning that the previous school of both didn’t punish but encouraged this behavior, but I’m too busy to deal with that myself, so I just passed the files to the director who, after reading them, kept muttering about destruction and fun? I’ll let him deal with the school since he wants to.

At least after the conversation I had with the son of the number two hero, he agreed to use his fire in training with only a few complaints, although I will still have to keep an eye on him anyway to avoid problems.
Another three problem children are Tokoyami, Hagakure, and Satou — not because of their personalities themselves but because of the potential quirk synergies both among their classmates and with me. I have to test the synergy between my power and Tokoyami’s; my quirk potentially nullifies his or weakens it considerably  I have to test that at some future moment. The same as with Satou’s quirk, since my power potentially will force the activation of his, and finally Hagakure and her invisibility, which is a good quirk by itself but I’m highlighting it for working by diverting the light from her body, making her immune to lasers or potentially being able to redirect or reflect them, besides other photokinetic applications that can be very useful.

Also, to put Tokoyami in some rhetoric classes if the radio use lessons are not enough to teach him the importance of his words being understood by others I’ll keep it that way for now and will change my plans as necessary.

Now only Aoyama remains  his vanity and theatricality are simpler to deal with compared to Bakugou’s or Todoroki’s pride, but I still must be careful or he could try to push me onto a subway track.
Anyway, after the training at the USJ, I will truly start. I’ll let the kids enjoy their last day before the training truly begins, not disregarding what will be taught there, of course — rescue is as important as combat itself; that’s why any professional hero must master both, no matter how stupid this profession is — for now, it’s necessary for this society.
Oh, I almost forgot

I need to select the class representative and the vice-representative. I’ll do that tomorrow; the choice is obvious anyway: Yaoyorozu for the first because of her intelligence, planning and organization ability, and Midoriya for the second, by obligation, as the successor of the current number one he needs to learn leadership.

Anyway, I think this covers everything for tomorrow. This second day wasn’t as tiring as the first one, mainly because I was wearing comfortable pants instead of that ridiculously uncomfortable and annoying miniskirt, which I was more than happy to burn and flush the ashes down the toilet yesterday. But no matter how cathartic that memory is, it’s just a distraction. I’m going home now to rest for today.

Chapter 11: second day of special training

Chapter Text

Chapter 10 – Midoriya Izuku POV

I’m not sure how today will be, especially after the two turbulent days at UA. Will every day be this busy in this school, or will everything eventually calm down? Or will I just get used to this routine? I’m not sure, but I won’t give up on this unique opportunity to be a hero that All Might gave me.

When I arrive at the school gates, I notice a difference  there are more cars than yesterday and some people at the gates. Through their cameras and microphones, I realize they are reporters from several newspapers. But what are they doing here so early? One of them notices me and approaches.

“Hey, you’re one of the first-year students, right? What’s it like having All Might as a teacher? Is he good at teaching? What are his classes like? How strict is he in class? …”

I try to say something, but he’s asking too many questions without giving me time to answer. I don’t even know the answer I’ve only had one class with him so far. Can you really judge how good an instructor he is from just that? How many classes are needed to know that answer?

“That’s enough. The boy is too nervous to answer.” Someone interrupts the reporter, grabs my hand, and pulls me to the other side of the entrance gate. Looking at him, I see that he looks tired dark circles under his eyes and an unshaven beard. He’s dressed in black with some white lines and a beige scarf.

“T-thank you for helping me, a-and good morning!” I remember my manners and thank/greet him, a little nervous and stammering, but I manage it this time.

“Just get inside already, problematic kid  hurry up to Tenshi. Trust me, you don’t want to annoy your teacher by being late or in any other way, actually.” I’m not sure what to do in this situation, so I just bow and start walking toward the classroom for special training. Wait a second what did he just call me? Why?

Arriving at the room, I knock on the door and enter. I only see Tenshi-sensei today, so it’s just the two of us. Suddenly I get nervous being alone in a room with such a beautiful woman like sensei.

“Good morning, Midoriya. Sit down.” She greeted me in the polite and formal manner that seems to be her standard.

“G-g-good morning, s-sensei, I-I mean Tenshi-sensei,” I replied, all nervous, while promptly obeying.

“You progressed faster than I expected. Yesterday, Recovery Girl and I were ready to treat several broken bones not only yours but also of the boys who almost got thrown out of the building.” I feel embarrassed hearing the teacher’s compliments, but I don’t dare interrupt her at all, too tired and shy for that. It’s also nice to be praised not only by a teacher but also by a renowned heroine like the Angel of Light.

“Since you seem to have understood the importance of restraint, let’s go to the next part. Show me your full power with moderation this time.”

“Yes, ma’am!” I focus as much as I can, remembering the movements from the training with All Might. I clench my fists, and a green glow covers my right arm. I feel a familiar tingling in my skin, and the air around my arm distorts slightly. But this time, I stop before the pain begins to spread through my muscles and bones.

“Good. Better control of energy flow, but still inefficient. You are losing more than 80% of your potential just trying not to hurt yourself.”

“Is that bad?”

“It’s progress,” she answers simply. “For now, focus on stabilizing this level before thinking of increasing power. Push more than that, and you’ll tear your muscles again. Do you understand?”

“Yes, sensei!”

“Good. Now, relax. Let’s review what you felt during the activation. Describe it.”

I take a deep breath and start writing everything she says while she comments on each part of my report. I feel like I’m doing a school test, but with a teacher who knows exactly when I’m lying to myself.

After several minutes, she straightens up and looks at me again. “Your biggest problem, Midoriya, is not lack of strength or energy. It’s lack of control and fear. You hesitate before using your power, and that hesitation is what makes you lose focus and hurt yourself. You must learn to trust your body.”

“I understand…”

“Good. I’ll talk to Recovery Girl and All Might about including resistance training and concentration exercises in your schedule. For now, you’ll continue here with me one hour earlier every morning, and after class, we’ll review your progress. Don’t be late.”

“Yes, sensei!”

She sighs, but I think I see a tiny smile before she turns toward the door. “You can go now. And Midoriya try not to destroy anything today.”

“Yes, ma’am!”

I leave the room both nervous and happy. Even though it’s strict, it’s good to feel like I’m finally improving  even if just a little. I think All Might was right to trust her with my training. If anyone can help me control this power, it’s Tenshi-sensei.
