Basic Info

His full name is Abraham Appletree.

"Abbie" is a nickname that just sort of stuck to him. He didn't seem like much of an "Abraham" anyways.

He's autistic because I said so.

Pretty bad at most school subjects, but he's surprisingly good at Language Arts.

Bisexual mess. He finds himself pathetic for liking all his friends. Being touch-starved does NOT help.

Background

Both of his parents are dead. His mom died from alcoholism and his dad went missing out of nowhere.

Abbie doesn't miss them. They weren't good people.

Abbie lives with his older sister, who lived alone originally but let Abbie live with her after both of his parents kicked the bucket. Abbie loves his sister to death.

Relations

Abbie is crushing on his entire friend group, but he knows better than to make it a big deal.

… He likes Lana a bit more, though.

Abbie is afraid of Ms. Circle, as her quick temper reminds him of his late parents.

Abbie is a bit freaked out by Ms. Thavel, but his high Language Arts grade puts him on her good side.

Abbie isn't as scared of Ms. Bloomie as he is of Ms. Circle, but he still flinches at her more silent anger.

Abbie dislikes the bullies for obvious reasons, but his dumb bisexual ass thinks Edward is handsome.

Lizzy and Abbie are indifferent to each other, but Petunia thinks he'd be really photogenic and keeps trying to get him to take selfies with the both of them.

Abbie and Skell are surprisingly chill. Somehow their music taste overlaps with each other???

Basic Info

Her name is simply just Lana.

Her sock puppets are named Bob and Tod. They speak as though they're in a Shakespearean play.

She has ADHD cuz I said so.

You will NEVER guess what the character based on Arts and Crafts is good at. Not even sure if this would be a headcanon or just canon.

She's unlabeled in terms of sexuality.

Lana plays a lot of Roblox RP games. She likes playing villains.

Background

Lana is an orphan that lives in an orphanage. She's always been sorted out as the "Weird kid", which singled her out a lot.

While the orphanage did have its own methods of teaching children in it, it was decided that it'd be good for Lana to make actual friends in other places, AKA Paper School. Lana is glad to have friends that like her variation of weird.

Relations

Lana loves her friend group a lot, especially considering they're the few friends she actually has.

Lana is vaguely aware that Abbie likes her a lot. She's flattered (and quite a bit happy).

Lana thinks Cubbie is the cutest thing ever (platonically (or romantically, if you want)).

Lana has some major one-sided beef with Miss Circle, since she keeps giving Abbie a rough time.

Miss Sasha has pretty positive opinions on Lana. Some of Lana's art is hung up on the wall of her classroom.

Lana has bit Oliver on one singular occasion. Oliver is still pissed about it.

Lana and Riley have beef with each other and no one knows why. They aren't even sure if they know why, either.

Basic Info

His full name is Engel Fisk.

Has never touched a social media app in his life other than Facebook and, more recently, Instagram (since none of his friends used Facebook)

He looks at his phone like a grandma.

He's straight.

He really enjoys poker... Not in a gambling way he just really likes playing it.

He's a little out of touch but he means well.

Background

Engel was raised by his grandparents at birth, since his biological mother died giving birth to him.

His grandparents raised him to be kind and "gentlemanly but not in the rich person way". He was especially raised to protect the people and things he loved and cherished.

Engel loves his grandparents, though the large societal difference in the time they grew up in has caused some disagreements.

Relations

Engel and Claire are sappy as all hell and it almost makes you forget they haven't actually confessed to each other.

He's basically the big brother of the friend group and is VERY protective of his friends.

No.1 Oliver hater

Ruby and Kevin try to help Engel learn about modern technology on occasion.

MoeMoe (Claire's cat), for whatever reason, does NOT like Engel.

Basic Info

Her full name is Claire Grant

Probably the most normal student in this fuckass school.

Bisexual with male preference.

All around average grades. A good kid, overall.

That being said, she'd fight tooth and nail in any sort of life or death scenario.

Claire is real good with the piano.

Background

Claire comes from a relatively normal family. Her mom, having gone through some shit herself, taught Claire how to defend herself and the people she cared about.

Claire loves her family. Yeah. Not much else to say here.

Relations

Claire and Engel love each other. I know I basically already said this but I feel the need to say it again.

Claire might tease her friend group sometimes, but she genuinely loves them and wouldn't trade them for anyone else.

No.2 Oliver hater (Engel still takes No.1)

Miss Bloomie actually likes Claire. I'm pretty sure this is canon but uh. Yeah.

The other murder teachers don't really like her, though.

Mister Demi is her favorite teacher.

Kevin and Cubbie are chill with Claire, since she's a bit on the smarter side.

Basic Info

Her full name is... (reads notes)... SBO-12. The acronym stands for "Semi-Biological Organism".

Her lack of a proper head makes her a bit airheaded... Get it? Do you get the joke? Please laugh.

They're Pansexual.

Her pronouns are she/they/it

She was most certainly an animation meme kid.

"To be cringe is to be free..." - Bubble, probably.

Background

The reason for her weird ass actual name was because she was accidentally created by scientists. I don't have any details that make sense so you can just imagine whatever happened.

Because she was most certainly human-esque in both biology and mentality, the scientists decided to get her into a school that would least likely question why someone made of bubbles was there... Lo and behold, Paper School was there. With it's demonic entities and weird anthropomorphic animals, Bubble fit right in... Mostly.

Bubble has mixed opinions on the scientists. They never really were her "parents", by any means, only raising her out of some moral obligation.

Relations

Bubble has a slight crush on her friend group, but it's not in the same way Abbie does. She just finds them all pretty.

They are acutely aware that Oliver eats soap. They don't find that fact fun.

Edward finds Bubble very intriguing, and bullies her a bit less because of it. She's a scientific enigma, after all.

Same goes for Miss Bloomie. Sometimes, she wonders if Bubble is a figment of her imagination or not.

Bubble has good relations with Lizzy and Petunia. They take selfies together sometimes.

Basic Info

Oliver has no last name. Either that or he doesn't tell people what it is.

Do you. Do you guys believe in bigender Oliver... Do you guys...

He likes women.

He's pretty damn cold to the touch. This is because Oliver is missing his entire fucking heart. He has a pretty gnarly scar where it once was, considering he ripped it out with his bare hands.

Oliver is a genuine loser. He's a smug, cocky asshole but let's be real he's a grown man bullying highschool students in their own territory. He's a lil pathetic.

Oliver has abandonment issues. He's very clingy.

Oliver has the "cilantro tastes like soap" gene. He likes cilantro.

Background

Oliver doesn't talk at all about his background. This is a nod to the fact that I'm too lazy to create a backstory that makes sense.

Relations

Wowie I wonder what the relationship between Oliver and Alice is! Okay for real though they got an Addams Family kinda love going on. If Oliver gets Alice mad he's out there kissing the ground she walks on.

Edward and Zip are kinda like little siblings to him. He gives them a lot of flak but they all enjoy fucking around and messing with other students.

Abbie is simultaneously Oliver's favorite and least favorite bullying victim. Sometimes, he's just too easy to mess with.

Oliver sometimes gifts Miss Circle some oreos cuz he knows she likes them. She's her favorite teacher and they sometimes chat about how much the students suck.

Miss Grace doesn't like Oliver, but he's basically the one guy keeping Alice from tearing the building apart so she begrudgingly considers him honorary staff with the job to keep Alice happy. He does a good job at it, and it means he can chill around after school closes.

Oliver is the SINGULAR person Miss Sasha dislikes. She constantly glares at his direction when he walks by. Oliver is a little bummed about it cuz imagine being the ONE person Sasha dislikes.

Basic Info

Her full name is Zip Wyverian

She's a snarky, sarcastic jerk but she's also a little bit of an awkward loser.

She loves pirates. This is most likely canon already but I'm using this to emphasize the fact that she HATES ninjas.

Zip is a top tier ragebaiter online but she absolutely sucks at it in person due to how differently people act in those spaces.

Zip is unlabeled.

Absolutely CRACKED at Fortnite but she uses the worst cosmetics known to man on purpose.

She's capable of breathing fire. Y'know, as you do.

Background

Zip was raised by a boring, normal household where the only cool thing was that one of her parents had dragon blood that Zip inherited.

Chip is the son of Zip's mom's close friend, who was dying of cancer. As a sort of moral obligation and lack of a better household to adopt Chip into, Zip's family took Chip in as an adopted younger brother. Zip was pretty against it at first but she and Chip bonded very well overtime.

Zip likes her family well enough.

Relations

Zip would kill an entire room of people if it meant Chip could remain happy.

Zip and Oliver are chill.

Zip and Edward are fairly smart, but it's like both of their IQ significantly drops when they're hanging together.

Zip loves being Abbie's bully in the same way Dr. Doofenshmirtz loves being Perry the Platypus's arch-nemesis. There's been times where they just kind of hung out, though they're a little awkward.

Zip often ends up in Miss Grace's office for obvious reasons. Grace has gotten Zip suspended a few times.

Riley will NOT stop bothering Zip and it gets on her nerves.

Basic Info

Edward's full name is Edward Hoover. Sometimes, he's referred to as "Eddy" by Oliver specifically.

Probably one of the smartest students here. He's tryna get a good science career.

He's an egotistical jerk, but he's pretty easily shut up by authority figures (i.e teachers and parents).

... Despite his ego, he's got some issues regarding his self-loathing.

Edward is autistic!!!!!!!!!!

Edward is Bi but he's got some internalized homophobia going on so he claims he's straight.

Edward was a Newgrounds kid. He rather enjoys Madness Combat.

Edward usually makes his machines from scratch, but all of his chemistry is done extremely carefully with self-moderation and intense research. After all, he isn't trying to create unknown, potentially deadly substances without some moderation.

He has silly nicknames for his robots.

Background

Edward is part of the upper-class and a complete and utter mama's boy. Edward loves his momma... Yes, he calls her "Momma". Oliver and Zip like to tease Edward for this.

Edward always wanted to change the world and make it a better place, but with the toxic Internet environment he grew up with, he's had a lot of moments of self-loathing and mild bigotry, especially regarding his own identity.

When he met Oliver and Zip, he felt oddly... Free. Sure, they weren't exactly the best influences, but they allowed him to be unapologetically him with them... Even if they were all kind of assholes. Still, he may have a lot of doubts about himself, but he's slowly getting better thanks to them. He wouldn't trade them for anyone else.

Relations

Sometimes, Zip and Oliver help Edward with his research, even if they all become stupid the moment they come in proximity with each other.

Edward has... Opinions on Abbie that he can't seem to pinpoint. He's not sure he wants to figure out, what with all the butterflies that enter his stomach when he tries to get on Abbie's nerves.

Edward does NOT like Kevin. Both of their egos clash everytime they talk to each other.

Edward and Miss Bloomie are chill, though Miss Bloomie isn't afraid to scold Edward for being a jackass.

Edward and Robbie usually stick together on projects if Zip isn't available. They're pretty okay in relation to their... relation, though Edward's ego does stir the pot of conflict in rare occasions.

Basic Info

Her full name is... Miss Circle... Huh.

Miss Circle is a perfectionist, and she HATES messing things up as much as she hates other people messing things up.

Sadistic tendencies aside, she actually likes and appreciates when her students put in the effort to do the work... doesn't excuse her bad side, though.

Her demonic nature gives her some decent regeneration properties and fire resistance. She's capable of regrowing lost limbs (except her left forearm, cuz of the compass and stuff).

Miss Circle cares not for romance... except maybe if an Oreo packet proposes to her... Nah, she's aromantic.

Miss Circle is actually kinda stupid outside of the subject of math.

Background

(WARNING this backstory is batshit insane and made to sound cool and interesting for the character... It was NOT made to make any sense.)

Miss Circle (And Mister Compass) are mythological homunculi created by a doomsday cult somewhere in the 80s, created to root out dissenters in their cult and destroy anyone who made mistakes. It's where Miss Circle gets her perfectionism from. Mister Compass was made as a way to keep Miss Circle grounded to the cult's followings, but they just kind of bickered in the cult. The cult had a noticeable fascination in finding some sort of "judgement day" through mathematical theories in their textbooks and religious documents, so Miss Circle ended up gaining a lot of math skills from the chats she hears from them.

... When Miss Circle found out about the cult's true nature of abusing their supposed knowledge of the universe to exploit people, she killed all of them and ran off to a nearby civilization, where she ended up in the hometown of Paper School. Her and Mister Compass's mathematical skills got them a good deal with Miss Grace, where they pursued Math as a study and, after a long while, began to teach it. 

While Miss Grace doesn't exactly approve of Miss Circle's cannibalistic tendencies, she gets shit done and runs her classroom like a damn boot camp.

Relations

Miss Circle and Mister Compass still bicker constantly, but they're good enough friends.

Miss Circle has positive relations with Miss Thavel and Miss Bloomie. Funnily enough, they like to gossip and talk shit about the students together.

Miss Circle doesn't actually dislike Abbie (at least when he isn't failing like in the animation), but she's very wary of his grades and she's quite harsh on him.

With her being so harsh on Abbie, the rest of his friend group isn't too fond of Miss Circle, Lana and Engel especially.

Miss Sasha isn't a fan of Miss Circle and vice versa. They have very conflicting views on how a teacher should treat their students.

Basic Info

Her full name is Enola Thavel. She doesn't like people saying her first name in any situation.

Miss Thavel has a pretty poor temper but is just as easily calmed down. She's oddly somber afterwards.

Her presence always brings a little tension and discomfort, likely due to her nature.

She has a very "forest-y" smell that always seems to linger on her. Doesn't smell very good, either.

She's unlabeled.

Miss Thavel used to enjoy traveling, and it's where she learned many of the languages she teaches.

She zones out a lot when she isn't actively teaching.

She kinda follows Miss Circle's steps in killing bad students, but it's more to help ease her hunger pains from being a wendigo.

Background

Thavel was part of a pretty lovely family that went to many a place in the world. She was just an ordinary, human lady with a husband and a single son.

Things went awry when they ended up lost in Canada, low on food and supplies and barely getting through. Desperation called Thavel's name through her stomach, begging her for anything to survive...

... She was the only survivor, her actions leaving her scarred with guilt and transformed into a wendigo. She can still taste their blood in her mouth. It tasted good.

Relations

Miss Circle and Miss Bloomie are her good pals.

Miss Thavel is always a bit somber around Abbie. He reminds her of her late son.

Miss Grace is aware of Miss Thavel's nature and tries to supply her with raw pig meat. It... Works, kind of. Nothing on the real deal, and it takes a LOT of non-human meat to satisfy her.

Sometimes, Miss Bloomie attempts to figure out how Miss Thavel's anatomy works and see if there's any scientific explanation for anything. She hopes she can be able to do something about Thavel's human meat cravings.

Oliver annoys her, but she's chill with Zip and Edward.

Basic Info

Her full name is Jessica Bloomie

Of all the murderous teachers, she enjoys it the least, and kills more out of some sort of obligation.

She's usually uses handshakes as a formality when students enter her room. She does this because the physical touch assures her that they're the real deal.

Miss Bloomie is Bisexual.

She actually owns two prosthetic hands. One is her iconic ruler blade and the other is a more legitimate prosthetic hand.

She gets tired easy and runs on coffee most of the time.

Background

... Honestly, I can't think of a backstory for her. I'll come back to this another time.

Relations

Miss Circle and Miss Thavel often hold onto Miss Bloomie's hand to assure her they're still around while they're hanging out.

She has a positive history with Miss Grace and she's the main reason Miss Bloomie is a teacher in the first place. She also helps pay for Bloomie's medication whenever she's struggling.

When Miss Bloomie first saw Bubble, she thought her medication was failing. Even now, Bubble is a complete enigma to Miss Bloomie.

She's pretty chill with Edward cuz of his high grade, Though sometimes she gets a little snappy at him when he's bullying other students.

Miss Bloomie and Miss Sasha sometimes have tea together.

Basic Info

His full name is Kevin Tooley

He's a nerd in every sense of the term.

Spends a lot of time studying. A bit more than what could be considered healthy.

Kevin is aroace.

Bro cannot understand a joke if it smashed his head in with a brick.

He's got a lot of zits. Gross.

He tends to isolate himself from the other students. At the same time, he often clings to his close friends like glue. He actually enjoys hugs, despite common belief among the other students.

Background

His parents expect a lot from him, with them being quite successful in their own fields of knowledge. He's often neglected the proper love and attention he needs so that he can focus on studying more. It doesn't go well for his mental health.

He gets in trouble often in his own household for not doing enough, but they set the bar higher than Kevin can naturally reach in most days.

Kevin hates his parents, but he'd never say it out loud in fear of their reaction.

Relations

Kevin and Cubbie are study buddies, and Cubbie is one of the few people Kevin's parents are okay with... Cubbie doesn't like Kevin's parents, either.

Kevin helps Ruby with any sorts of checkups and fixes she needs for her mechanical body.

The teachers keep having to check up on him because he keeps almost falling asleep in class from staying up too late studying.

Kevin and Robby are... Okay, I guess. Not the bestest of friends, but they don't dislike each other.

Abbie and Lana are kind of annoying and a little entertaining to Kevin cuz they genuinely baffle him with how dumb they are.

Basic Info

His full name is Cubbie Daywright

He's a nerd but not in the same way Kevin is a nerd. He likes tabletop RPGs.

He's got some bad luck on his side. A lot of inconveniences come his way.

Cubbie is pansexual.

Cubbie also goes by any pronouns. At school, he's usually referred to with he/him, but with his family, she/her is the usual. That being said, he doesn't mind any other pronouns used in those situations.

If something is birthday cake flavored, he'll eat it.

... He's a dog person. Cats as pets kinda give him the heebie jeebies.

Backstory

Cubbie was found as a baby kitten in some alleyway by a fairly large family... the family was kinda freaked out when the stray cat they found in a box started learning how to walk on hind legs.

Either way, the family loves Cubbie to death, and Cubbie loves 'em back.

Relations

Cubbie runs tabletop RPG sessions with the other students sometimes. Mostly, this includes Kevin.

Cubbie tries to help Abbie and Lana understand some of their topics sometimes. Key word is "tries".

Miss Circle likes him cuz he knows a good portion of math from the tabletop RPGs he plays. 

One of the few people the bullies don't like to bully cuz he WILL tell them off and WILL get them in trouble with Miss Grace.

Basic Info

His full name is simply Mister Compass, similarly to Miss Circle just being Miss Circle.

He's honestly kind of a pushover, but that doesn't mean he doesn't get shit done... Or that he doesn't start fights with the other teachers.

He's kind of a goof. He knows when to be serious, but when he isn't actively being serious, he's a goof.

Mister Compass is Pansexual.

He's got a habit of falling in love with anyone (ADULT) with a pretty face.

When he isn't taking the role of Miss Circle's prosthetic weapon, he works as a substitute teacher.

Relatively low combat skills in relation to Miss Circle, but his comms are on point. As Miss Circle's compass, he serves as a third eye, giving Miss Circle a lot more leverage in regards to sight.

Top tier chef. Maybe not professional, but he cooks good food.

Backstory

... Same thing as Miss Circle. They're both homunculi made for a doomsday-obsessed cult, they both killed said cult, yada yada yada.

That being said, Mister Compass was... Sort of a bad idea for the cult to create. He was originally supposed to be created as a "husband" for Miss Circle to keep her in check, but with Miss Circle not being interested in romance and with their personalities clashing a bit, they were a bit uncontrollable. At the same time, their connection to each other made them work together in ways the cult wasn't anticipating.

It was Mister Compass that suggested the idea that the cult sucked and needed to go, with Miss Circle being the one who led the carnage after.

Relations

... A lot of the students mistake him for Miss Circle on their bad days.

Miss Thavel and Miss Bloomie think he's annoying as shit.

Mister Compass actually likes Abbie and Lana. He thinks they're cook cool despite how dumb they are.

Miss Grace is... Indifferent to him. She does appreciate his work as a substitute, though.

Somehow, he gets picked on by the bullies.

Basic Info

Her full name is Lizzy Goshhroknia. Weird last name, I know. It'll make sense in like two headcanons.

Valley girl accent haver.

She comes from demonic origins. This makes her a bit taller than most of the other students. It's also why her last name is weird.

She's a lesbian.

Her gallery is full of selfies but she also has a lot of pictures of random animals she finds cute.

Her demonic nature gives her a tendency to want to harm. To counteract this, she likes to sew since she's repeatedly stabbing fabric.

In relation to sewing, Lizzy has a pretty good talent for costume design.

Background

Born from fire and raised in the boiling pits of Hell, Lizzy was raised under violent, horrid influences...

... Until she ended up outside of hell and somehow got lost in the hometown of Paper School. Petunia ended up befriending her and, when she found out she was without a home a few months later, managed to convince her family to let Lizzy live with them.

Lizzy is chill with Petunia's family.

Relations

Petunia and her family consider her more as a roommate than as a family member, but they still treat her right. Lizzy and Petunia are like bread and butter.

Lizzy doesn't like Miss Circle.

Lana sometimes does favors for Lizzy to get little costumes for her sock puppets.

Edward gets his long ass hair pulled on by Lizzy when he's being a dick to someone.

Lizzy and Ruby are good friends.

Basic Info

Her full name is Petunia Lightfoot

Does no harm but takes no shit

Unlabeled queen

Will beat your ASS in chess... Sucks at checkers though, for some reason.

One of the only rabbit humanoids in the general area, not counting the rest of her family.

Pretty good kid. She's well intentioned, if not a little egotistical.

Background

Petunia lived as an only child in her household until Lizzy came along and is now chilling with them indefinitely. Her family likes Lizzy well enough, but Petunia and Lizzy are practically inseparable.

That's... Pretty much it. I can't say I'm the best at making backstories.

Relations

See above for Lizzy and Petunia's relationship. Alternatively, look at Lizzy's headcanons. I'm speaking like a customer service phone call on purpose here.

Petunia thinks Abbie is cute but like in a platonic way. Same goes for Lana and Bubble, but for different reasons.

Petunia and Kevin are pretty alright with each other. Nothing crazy.

Miss Thavel's personal favorite student to be around solely because she doesn't trigger the "I want to kill and eat people" urge in her brain because she's a bunny.

... Lizzy stays FAR away from Alice's door, though.

You know the beginning note in the Petunia chapter? Yeah, that's happening. I'm gonna remake this fic with more headcanons and a more up-to-date interpretation of how I view these characters. The reasoning behind this was that since I wrote an actual, full-length fanfic, I had more time to think about how I interpreted these lil guys.
