CHAPTER 1
As the high-pitched sound of a bolide passing by echoed through the almost empty racetrack, Joshua let out a sigh. He was tired after long day of dealing with his workmates and the loud noises coming from the many machines.
It was two weeks before raceweek was about to begin.
The man was sitting on the bleachers with his back leaned against the uncomfortable seat. The black work clothes he was wearing were dirty from various oils, dirt and grease. His face was screaming from ehxaustion, the bags under his dark brown eyes now more prominent. His dyed red hair was now disheveled and slightly wet from the sweat.
On the tour was now only two young drivers - Tyler and Mitchell. Both men were training for the upcoming race, now their vehicles coming closer to the pit. The frist one to get out of the bolid was Mitchell, Tyler drove up ride behind him. Josh was almost asleep on his seat, until he heard a crash.
It was Tyler. He drove into the barrier and crashed the front wing.
Josh rolled his eyes and got up. He was kind of used to the rookies crashing into something - he himself was a young mechanic in the Formula. But something always stirred in Josh when he saw the young driver. Before Tyler started himself in the races, his older brother Zack was a succesful champion for the same team.
Everything was perfect until one big dissaster. He crashed into a wall and fractured his leg so bad that he couldn't walk without support.
As the other mechanics helped Tyler stand up from the driver seat, Josh gave him a look full of judgement. When he came to take a closer look on the vehicle, he found himself standing next to the man. He turned to him and let out an sigh.
-You sure made my day better, bud. - he hissed out with sarcasm. After a moment Josh regreted his words, as Tyler frowned.
The young driver was an short and small man. His brunette hair was trimmed short and his skin was slightly tanned. His eyes were mostly expressing shynes and fear but during the practises- determination. Now the driver was a bit embarassed and scared.
As Josh and other workers managed to get the bolid into the pit, he founded himself staring at Tyler as the man was leaving the place. Maybe Josh shouldn't snap at him? The man couldn't tell when he was clearly frustated with the need to fix the crashed element.
