Chapter Text
Alex woke up. Where the hell was she?? Her head was pounding, she felt like she’d been underwater for a long time… She looked around. Hills. Rolling hills for miles on end. Well… she had some exploring to do! She got up and dusted herself off. Huh. Her clothes looked weird. A green tunic with brown pants. It felt… nostalgic?? Oh, who cared about that.
She started walking, in no particular direction. She was pretty sure she was going north? She noticed the amount of sheep and cows that seemed to be just grazing. She got to a particularly high hill and shouted,
”HELLO?! ANYONE THERE?!”
..no answer. Damn it. Her feet were starting to hurt. She hoped to god or gods or whatever that she was at least walking near civilization. It was starting to get late too… Could she make a shelter or something? She shook a nearby tree, and an apple fell!
“Wait. Is this even an apple tree??”
Whatever. She was hungry and tired and confused and she didn’t have time to question things like that. She finished the apple a lot quicker than she would’ve like to admit. It was night out by now. God, that day went by quick. Like… way too quick. She was too lost in her own thought to notice the weird noises around her. Like the groans, or the trousle of bones. (I was NOT trying to rhyme there) It wasn’t until an arrow whizzed past her that she finally noticed the monsters.
”WHAT THE FUCK?!”
She sprinted off in the other direction, arrows shooting past her. In the distance, she could make out a cabin. Finally! Running on pure adrenaline and panic the decked it to the house. She managed to make it about two thirds of the way before an arrow hit her in the arm.
”SON OF A-“
She clenched her jaw so hard it might start bleeding.
Snap out of it Alex, you’ve had period cramps worse than this you’ll be FINE.
Somehow, SOMEHOW she managed to make it to the house. She knocked on the door so hard.
”Please, please, please open please…”
