Chapter Text

It had been another successful show. The crowd had loved it, loved them, and the Honmoon had been strengthened. Huntrix was getting more and more popular. Rumi should be ecstatic. Zoey and Mira certainly were. Bobby to, he was so proud of them. They had a break after, or as much of a break as K-pop stars could get, at Bobby's insistence so they didn't burn themselves out. It was supposed to be relaxing, but Rumi couldn't relax. Because there hadn't been any gold in the Honmoon. She wasn't naive enough to think it would happen so fast but it didn't change the feeling that they needed to work harder, get more fans, seal the Honmoon and get rid of her patterns. The girls just think she's shy about showing her skin and are so understanding which only makes things worse. Because she wants to be closer to them, she wants to go to the bathhouse with them, but she can't. She can't risk them seeing her patterns. She can't risk seeing love and understanding turn to hate as they realize what she is. Can't risk them being forced to do their job because hunters kill everything with patterns. And she wouldn't, couldn't, blame them. She could never hate them. They'd be well within their rights dealing with a mistake like her.

Rumi was alone on a rooftop. She needed some time to think and reassured her girls that she'd be fine and was just working off some excess energy.

"You're a little far from home, aren't you?" A deep male voice asked.

Not as alone as she thought, the hunter turned around sharply, body tense and ready to defend herself. "Who's there?" She demanded.

Out of the shadows stepped someone she's never met before but has heard enough about from Zoey to be instantly recognizable. It was the Dark Knight of Gotham, the Batman.

"Batman?" She asked in shock.

"I thought Kpop stars were more careful." The man said.

"I just needed some air." She said slowly. Was this really the bat? Why would he be in Korea? Why would he be talking to her?

Batman hummed. "I see. Fighting demons while being a pop star can't be easy." He said, making her freeze. Then fight.

The man avoided the swing from her blade casually. "How do you know about that?!" She exclaimed with another slash that he blocked with a baterang.

"It's my job to know about potential threats." He growled.

The word rang in her head. Threats. Threats like her, the half demon. It couldn't end like this, she should have had more time. So lost in thought the girl only barely avoided the thrown projectile, her hoodie getting cut in the process.

Batman paused, eyes widening imperceptibly. Rumi looked at her arm in fear. Her patterns could be seen.

"No, wait! Listen! I know what this looks like but I swear I'm not dangerous! Y-you said you knew about us, that means you know what we're trying to do, and when we're done these will be gone! I just need more time!" She begged.

She couldn't have Batman as an enemy but he was known to be ruthless and practical. She flinched when she felt a hand on her shoulder, looking up at the man. While she couldn't see his face properly, his expression had softened.

"Explain." He said, though his tone wasn't as gruff as before.

So she did, about her parentage, about how the Golden Honmoon would banish the demons from the world, how it would finally be rid of her patterns.

"You're certain it will remove the patterns?" He asked.

"It has to." She said determined. The "she didn't know what she'd do if it didn't " went unsaid but not unheard.

"Does your team know?" Batman asked.

"No!" Rumi exclaimed. "I can't let them know. Please don't tell them."

The vigilante didn't say anything and her heart almost beat out of her chest. Finally, Batman nodded. "Fine. But take it from me, keeping secrets too big might backfire." He said.

"I can handle it." She responded with more confidence than she felt.

He grunted and turned with a flare of his cape. "And one more thing. You may be your parent's daughter, but you're your own person. Neither side should define you. Not as a hunter, not as a demon." Batman told her. She wasn't sure she believed him.

The bat grappled away, Rumi taking a moment to breathe after that odd encounter before leaving herself. Unaware that the dark knight was still watching.

"Alfred." He called into a com.

"Shall I begin preparing a room, Sir?" The butler asked, only partially being sarcastic. He didn't think that young lady was ok.

Bruce chuckled.

The next day, Huntrix were relaxing, or rather Mira and Zoey were. Rumi couldn't stop thinking about the encounter with the bat. She didn't know what to make of it. She just hoped he'd keep his word until the Honmoon turned golden.

The door opened and Bobby hurried in. "Oh my goodness girls! You won't believe what just happened!"

Zoey gasped. "We get to have an aquarium full of turtles?" She asked excitedly.

"No. We just got an email from Bruce Wayne! He's offering Huntrix an invitation! His kids are big fans!" The manager explained.

Now all three of them gasped. This was going to be interesting.

And that's chapter 1. Bruce you have a problem, way too many kids.

Chapter Text

Huntrix were on their plane heading to the crime capital of America, Gotham City. Zoey was ecstatic to meet the Wayne family. Technically they all were but the half American girl was definitely the most excited.

"The Wayne family are basically royalty. Bruce is America's sweetheart, the boy who lost his parents growing up to provide family for so many other kids. Not to mention all the projects they fund to help people in Gotham." She said.

Mira was looking forward to meeting his kids.

"Have you seen some of the stuff the Wayne kids at Galas? My parents would have disowned me for half of it yet Bruce let's Richard get away with swinging on the chandelier. Pretty sure Damian wants to stab everyone there and I have to respect that." She said.

Rumi was happy they were looking forward to this, and don't get her wrong so was she. If word got out the Waynes supported Huntrix that would mean more people giving them a listen, which means more fans, which means strengthening the Honmoon gets easier. But she was also a little suspicious. They get this invite to Gotham the very next day after she spoke to Batman. The timing was a little coincidental.

Zoey's voice brought her out of her head. "What do you think, Rumi?" She asked.

The half demon blinked. "Sorry I was thinking about something, what did you say?" She asked.

"What do you think about the Batman thing?" Zoey repeated.

It took all her training not to flinch visibly. "What Batman thing?" She inquired. He couldn't have spoken to them, Zoey wouldn't have been able to keep it quiet and if he'd told them about her they wouldn't be so comfortable around her.

Mira answered. "Zoey's convinced that Bruce Wayne is dating Batman."

"He so is!" The rapper responded.

"You also said that about him and Wonder Woman, and him and Catwoman." Mira countered.

"All I'm hearing is that Batman has great taste and enough hands for everyone." Zoey said.

Relieved that this was all they were talking about, Rumi decided to play along. "Batman is always there to save him really fast. Maybe he's sleeping over there."

As Zoey cheered and Mira playfully rolled her eyes, the purplette smiled softly at them before frowning internally. She didn't want to be scared whenever they brought up a topic that could relate to her patterns. But once the Honmoon is gold and they're gone she'll never have to again. She hoped.

Bobby walked up. "Look alive girls. We're landing soon." He said.

The plane came down at a private landing strip, which makes sense. When you're so rich and often kidnapped it made sense you would avoid public airports. They exited the plane and were greeted by an elderly man standing outside a fancy car.

"Greetings ladies. I am Alfred Pennyworth, Butler to the Wayne family and I will be your driver." He introduced politely, English accent obvious.

"I'm Bobby, their manager. I have a few questions. First of all, I was told you would be handling accomodations and while I don't mean to sound rude, I'd definitely like to inspect the hotel myself." He said.

"It's no bother Mr Bobby. From what I understand, Kpop idols require the utmost security, something I can most certainly understand given my charges here in Gotham. Which is why they will have residence at the most secure location in the city. Wayne Manor." He explained.

Zoey squealed. "Really?! We get to stay at Wayne Manor?!" She asked.

Alfred chuckled good naturedly. "Of course Mrs Zoey. Master Bruce would not have invited you if he could not ensure your safety."

That was a serious weight off Bobby's shoulders. He was excited for the girls but also worried because it was still Gotham. But if the Wayne family was willing to have them stay with them that was all the better. He was obviously unaware they could handle themselves in a fight.

"Now, shall we set off?" Alfred asked.

With nods of agreement and the packing of their luggage, they took off into the city proper. Unaware they were being watched.

"Agent A has the girls and the manager." Signal said.

Spoiler sighed next to him. "Still bummed I don't get to be there to meet them when they arrive." She lamented.

"That's what you get for betting against Cass." Oracle said from her com.

"At least you get to make sure they get there safe in the first place." Duke told her.

Stephanie personally thought that didn't make up for an early in person meet up with the pop group that were also badass demon hunters. Though at least one of them might be staying around.

"B really has a problem." She said to herself before grappling after the car with Signal.

"No argument here." Babs agreed.

Chapter Text

Three hunters, a manager and a butler drive into the most crime ridden city in America. This is not, in fact, the beginning of a probably very humorous joke, and is instead us observing our main characters. Despite Huntrix arriving fairly early in the day, the perpetual gloom of Gotham lent itself to looking much later than it actually was.

"Does this place ever get any sunshine?" Mira asked.

"Not as much as it should in my opinion. Though many find the grim conditions more comforting than not, given it means our city's protectors could be anywhere." Alfred answered.

"Speaking of, given how long you've lived here and worked for Mr Wayne, would you be able to say anything about the theory him and Batman are dating?" Zoey asked the man.

The mirth in his eyes was unmistakable. "I'm afraid, Miss Zoey, that I can neither confirm nor deny such allegations." He said.

"Right. Totally." The girl winked conspiratorially. She was unaware that Spoiler laughed so hard she almost fell off a roof mid grapple because of her question, nor was she aware of the chaos she created among the rest of the Batclan.

While she smiled in vindication at Mira, Rumi looked out at the streets of Gotham. She could see the gloom in the air, people afraid of when the next Rogue might decide to cause trouble. But there was also resilience. These people had been through things that would make others run for the hills and stood strong. Some may call them stubborn, others would call them insane, both would probably be correct, but the half demon saw them and saw determination to survive, the same determination that pushed hunters to fight demons, that pushed heroes to save people, and she could see the beauty in this dark city many would have written off.

They arrived at Wayne Manor not too long after. Now let it be stated the girls were far from lacking in cash, one doesn't have a private jet if they are, but just looking at the grounds to the Manor, let alone the building itself, showed they were in an entirely different tax bracket. It was an entirely too long drive before they arrived at the front door and hurried out of the car. They, and Bobby, offered to help unpack but were swiftly rebuffed by the butler.

"You young ladies are our guests." He told them. Then to Bobby, "I understand the stresses of managing such energetic charges, so know to take any rest you can be offered."

Figuring he wouldn't budge on this, Huntrix shrugged and moved to enter the Manor proper. As they walked in, they were greeted by the man who invited them in the first place. At his side were three of his kids.

"Welcome to Wayne Manor. It's a pleasure to have you here." Bruce Wayne said.

"The pleasure is all ours." Rumi responded.

Zoey was almost vibrating, something that wasn't missed. The tallest of the gathered Wayne family members smiled as he walked up. "Dick Grayson, nice to meet you." He said with a bright smile.

As the maknae squealed to herself because holy crap Dick Grayson was talking to her, his sister walked up to Mira. "Cassandra, but I prefer Cass." She introduced.

"Mira." The girl responded.

"I know. You're the choreographer. It's really good. I'm a dancer myself." She said.

You had to know Mira well to notice how she perked up a bit at that. "Sweet." She replied.

"If you want, I can show you some moves. Unless you're afraid I'll show you up." Cass challenged, competitive gleam in her eye not unlike her siblings when they had the chance to make trouble.

Mira grinned. "You're so on." She said.

Rumi smiled, happy her friends were having a good time already. Then Bruce and the last available Wayne approached her. The young boy had a cat in his hands that perked up as it saw her, before it jumped out of his arms to examine her. It took a lot of self control not to grab and squeeze the creature. The cat apparently decided she passed whatever examination it was as it sat next to her feet.

"Alfred likes you. That's a point in your favor." The boy said.

The hunter blinked in mild confusion, looking around for the butler.

Bruce chuckled. "He means the cat, also named Alfred." He clarified. "This is my son, Damian."

Damian examined her, not unlike his cat. "I've heard your music. It's not bad. Especially when compared to Grayson and Drake's usual taste." He said.

She was going to take that as a compliment. Alfred the man soon arrived to tell them their rooms were ready, the girls wondering when exactly he passed them in the first place, and direct them to them.

"Enjoy some rest girls. Private jet or not you still had a long flight." Bruce said.

"Trust me, you'll need it for when the rest of us arrive." Damian said dryly.

Dick gasped dramatically. "We're not that bad Dami."

Cass pat him on the shoulder empathetically with a shake of her head. "We are that bad." She informed him gently.

"Betrayed by my own brother and sister." He "lamented", getting a giggle from her and an eye roll while trying not to smile from him, all while Bruce looked on fondly. A drastic difference from any of the band's family lives. As they moved on, the family watched them.

"They're nice. Nervous. A lot is going on beneath the surface." Cassandra observed. Body language told a lot about a person.

"Clearly trained. Not as well as us obviously but whoever has them hunting didn't let them out unprepared." Damian said.

"They'll be fun to have around." Dick added.

Bruce grunted in agreement.

The girls were led around the absolutely massive home where they each had their own rooms and settled in. Rumi sighed, at least this was going to be interesting.

And that's chapter 3. We meet some bats and birds. Are they in character? Who knows with comics. Hope you enjoyed
