Yay, art!

Summary:

It's my chibi art!

Drawn with my Faber Castell pencils and my Derwent pencils.

I draw mainly pictures of Feanor, Fingolfin and their kids.

This is the first time I've tried to link art lol. Let me know if the pictures aren't showing up ^^

Fingon is like, "Do firebugs butts glow brighter when they are trying to attract a mate?"

Also Maedhros has beautiful freckles, just like his mum. I'm imagining that Fingon wants to kiss every freckle.

Summary:

Turgon is polishing his beautiful silver teapot. Fingon is just watching him.

I wonder who gave Fingon the beautiful ruby ear pendant.

So, Indis wants a nice photo of the boys. Finwe goes to take one. But Feanor is being Feanor again xD

Chapter 7: Maeglin

Summary:

Maeglin as a firebug.

Elrond was walking in the woods of Nan Elmoth. It was still shadowy but in one place, sunlight was peeping through. There, a daisy had bravely bloomed. But there was something...or somebody else there too.

Elrond looked closer, it was a little firebug. A familiar firebug, with ice blue wings and a silver glowing butt. It had caused a lot of trouble as an elf, especially to Elrond’s great-grandfather. So Mandos has returned it as a firebug; instead of destroying cities, it could heal nature by pollinating the flowers.

The little firebug looked up at Elrond, sticky with nectar. It blinked, then turned its attention back to the daisy it was feasting from. Elrond just smiled, and let it be.

Summary:

Lol, I keep drawing firebugs!

Eol has made a nest in an old flowerpot. He insists that only his wife and son are permitted in his nest. But then Curufin and Celegorm sneak in anyway.

Eol is not happy, look at his flat ears! But the brothers don't care lol.

Summary:

Turgon has made a nest in an old teapot!

Turgon has made a nest in an old teapot, for Elenwe and himself. They are so happy. But...some of the Feanorian kids sneak in. They even graffiti a flame on the spout. How naughty!

And Vanya firebugs have diamond shaped antennae :)

Chapter 10: Celegorm's Penance.

Summary:

Celegorm is given a special task.

I just keep on drawin' firebugs lol.

Celegorm is a great hunter, he flies around Finarfin's palace garden with Curufin and Aredhel, protecting the flowers from bug pests.

But then Yavanna gives him a new task. He sees the twins...he thinks "Oh no!" Celegorm feels so bad.

"Look after them. Make sure they never feel hungry or cold again," Yavanna says.

And Celegorm promises that he will do.

Summary:

I haven't really drawn these lads yet, so here they are!

I imagine Maglor playing peaceful music, while Caranthir just wakes up the whole household, playing Metallica about 5am lol.

High King Finarfin's garden was full of firebugs; all his relatives that the Valar had returned at the start of the Second Age. Poor Finarfin; he was so embarrassed! One evening, he was outside, drinking some wine, when Yavanna appeared. She spoke gently to him, telling him she had come to return a couple of things he had lost.

She opened her hands and there Finarfin beheld two familiar firebugs! With their golden curls dancing, and their wings fluttering, they squealed with excitement as they flew towards him.

"Angrod! Aegnor!" Finarfin said, tears of joy filling his eyes. He held out his hands and his sons landed in them, reunited with their father at last.

Suddenly, firebugs did not seem that embarrassing any more!

If I worked it our right, these lads are:

It was fun designing their firebug features and glow colours lol.

Chapter 14: First Date

Summary:

Nerdanel is asking Feanor out on a date. Feanor is very pleased.

Notes:

I was just sketching this one and drew my 2nd G-Granddad Abe first. Then I decided to draw Nerdanel and Feanor. But they were all too close together, so I left 2GGD Abe on there too lol.

Feanor and Nerdanel are young here (the human people equivalent of about 14). This explains why they are smaller, compared with 2GGD Abe.

Chapter 15: Glorfindel and Maeglin

Summary:

Glorfindel is presenting Maeglin with a beautiful golden flowerpot nest! It is much nicer than Turgon's teapot!

This one took me ages lol!

It was so much fun, designing Glorfindel's wings. Now, does his hair need its own tag?

This comes from a daft headcanon I made on Tumblr!

So, from the firebug AU, I thought, what if the firebugs' glow turns pink when they have a crush and they are around the object of their affection?

Maeglin wants to inherit Turgon's teapot palace, and he is trying to put forth his case on why he should marry Idril. Turgon finally says, "Very well. You may marry my daughter if you can prove that you love her. Speak to her, and if your glow turns pink, I shall know it is true love".

And Maeglin, who usually has a silver glow, agrees, because he REALLY wants that teapot palace.

So Maeglin is in the teapot, chatting to Idril, but his glow remains silver. Idril is smirking when, suddenly...

Glorfindel walks in; all magnificent and with a beautiful golden glow!

And as soon as Maeglin sees him, his glow turns bright pink!

Maeglin is like, "What is this? My glow betrays me?"

Turgon is like, "It's called poetic justice, dear nephew!"

Finarfin finds a hungry firebug in his strawberry patch!

What is sweeter than strawberries and cream?

Somebody has been nibbling at the fruits in Finarfin's strawberry patch! He goes to investigate and finds a little big brother!

Firebug Fingolfin tries to maintain his innocence. He points towards his noble steed (a rhinoceros beetle, not drawn here), insisting it was him! Do you think that Finarfin believes him?

Summary:

Oh no! Finarfin's prize honey is being pilfered!

Elured and Elurin were hungry. The Valar said that they never want to see the twins hungry or cold again.

So Feanor took a sword he had forged (in his copper kettle forge) and broke into the honeypot.

Look how much honey they ate lol!

Elured and Elurin befriend a caterpillar.

Oh, it's a caterpillar! It's going to eat Finarfin's prized lettuces! Celegorm must hunt it.

But what is this? The twins have befriended the caterpillar and now it is giving them a ride...

Well, Celegorm can't hunt it now lol!

Turgon has an accident with his new cloak!

So Turgon has a beautiful new cloak! He loves to walk around the garden, showing it off. But Amrod and Amras love to follow him and step on the train, trying to annoy their big cousin.

But then one day, Turgon did not fasten his cloak securely! And...
