Everyone at the office was -at least a bit- nervous. For years Hausen Caelin had hired his brother Lundgren in the family business the Caelin Brothers; he had recently discovered that his brother was guilty of misappropriation of funds and immediatly fired him. And now Lugdren was trying to sue the company!
All the people working at the Caelin Brothers were anxious. Hausen had simply dismissed his brother, judging that it was enough to punish him, without thinking about the consequences; he probably thought that given his age Lundgren would simply retire and couldn't do more damages. From Haussen's granddaughter Lyndis to the secretary Nathalie, all were nervously awaiting the end of this conflict. Even Kent, a studious young executive, seemed disturbed by the coming trial. Florina always liked Kent; when she was hired by the Caelin Brothers she was still anxioux when around men she didn't knew but she always felt safe with Kent. Probably because his quiet, serious and hardworking nature reminded her of her older sister Fiora. The red haired young man was now spending most of his day in a room with mister Haussen, Lyndis and the lawyer team that was hired to defend the company.
Because thankfully the Caelin Brothers could count on an army of talented lawyers. Including Florina's two oldest sisters: Fiora and Farina. Fiora and Farina looked relatively alike and had the same profession; yet each of them represented a different aspect of the lawyer job.
The oldest Fiora had had to take care of her sisters after that their parents passed away but it didn't prevented her from earning a scolarship and complete her years of study. She was now a lawyer with a good reputation and was generally well liked by her co-workers. She had been hired by the prestigious law firm Reglay Associated. Knowing that Fiora was working on the case made Florina more hopeful.
Farina, was something else. She had never been a studious student. She had left their home at 18. It was right after a fight she had with Fiora; they probably believed that Florina was sleeping but from what she heard she knew that it had been an heated conversation. For years Fiora and Florina didn't had any contact with her. They had no idea where she was. They only reunited when Farina was hired to defend the Caelin Brothers. It was miss Lyndis who aksed to have her hired; the two women had met through Hector Ostia. Hector, the black sheep of the Ostian family, was one of Lyndis' closest friends, apparently Farina managed to get him out of a tight spot involving last offspring of the powerful Laus family. After leaving on her own, Farina had took a correspondence courses and managed to became a lawyer. She had became quite famous in some shady circles. She was good at exploiting loopholes to get her clients out of troubles. When the three finally reunited Florina knew that Farina was really moved to see her sisters again; even tho she dowplay her emotion. At least this case could have brought them together.
"Something tell me that you are about to become Kent's sister-in-law." Told her Sain when he meet her in the corridor. He was Kent's best friend, at first he could appear as an unserious skirt chaser but everyone- especially young recruit- could count on him to get help. He was probebly right about his best friend. Florina herself , even if she wasn't as close to the young executive as Sain, noticed a change. Kent always appeared somehow happy when he had just left a meeting with the lawyers. She also knew that lately he had been asking more advices to his best friend; he even once asked for the best place for a date. Actually it made sense that Kent fell her sister's charm. Fiora and he were so similar and Florina knew that her sister was really pretty. It was obvious to her now: Kent and Fiora were made for each other.
Kent was here. He told her.
"Hello Florina. I was actually thinking about you. I think that I can tell you now. Your sister and I are a couple. I was far from expecting this outcome when we meet but with time we became really close."
"Actually Kent I was just thinking that you two were made for each other."
"Really? I thought that we were forming a surprising pair. But I guess that you are right, Fiora and you, you know Farina better than anyone else."
Farina! It was actually a surprising outcome.
