Notes:

Ok so it's..uh..been a minute. Actually longer than a minute. It's been over year, but I'm back! I recently just thought about when and if a season 2 were to ever happen. I really, really, really loved it and got borderline obsessed with DC world through aor alone years ago. Here I am, back again, ready to share what I think would've occured in a second season based on the end of the first. Hope y'all enjoy, feel free to share opinions below.

(Also, I am not the best writer. Feel free to correct any plot errors or issues with the grammar.)

Work Text:

Just as the Crystal of truth had foreseen, there would be a war. Some friends from the resistance parished, but the Skeksis' lost a few on their side as well. For now, Thra was quiet. In the endless forest were the Stonewood clan once inhabited, there weren't any Stone-In-The-Wood villages nor outskirts of town anymore. There was no longer any clan borders nor the gelfling guard to protect the woodland territory. The same went for what was once Vapran Territory, controlled by the All Maudra in the cold mountainous terrain of Thra once upon a time, and to the far south were what was once considered Drenchen clan grounds even if their borders only went as far as their precious Olyeka-Staba's tree roots could stretch. Territory wasn't even a thing anymore. It was now the least important and was only in the back of the minds' of few. At least, this was the case for the gelfling. Clan differences weren't important at this time. It was a time of survival. Right now, the Skeksis', despite losing the battle at stone-in-the-wood to the gelfling and their allies, the majority survived and thus could continue their evil actions with the Crystal's power, harvest its life energy for themselves and further destroy the natural planet life. Like the Skeksis', the majority of gelfling had fought and also survived the battle which meant that they could, and would continue to fight for their own survival. Through all the death and loss of loved ones, there was one thing for sure that changed the course of the story. A message. Sent from one opposing side to the other and vice versa. A message that said that should the gelfling and their allies be attacked that it wouldn't be done without battle, and that the Skeksis' wouldn't go down without a fight either. Now, in the quiet evening hour. Three moons, the sisters, low in the gradient orange to deep blue sky while transferring into night. The second brother only a few inches above the horizon, the littlest brother sun not to far behind it, creatures and birds croaking and chirping heard in the wind that rustled the tree canopies, like symphonic harmony. Beneath the harmony, or what was left of it, was the faint rumbling of a thumping beat. Instead of joining the song, the beat corrupted and interrupted it. The beat of a rumbling storm, waiting for the right time to pour down on everyone. The battle in the woods had happened, and fortunately the good beat the evil, but this was just the beginning. The Skeksis' treacherous ways were revealed and so had their false claim of immortality, all gelfling were aware and the brave of them stood against them. Now, Thra's future was unclear for not even Mother Aughra, the physical embodiment of thra herself knew the exact outcome.

What stood high above the tree canopies of the endless forest like an old branch, or the sharp talon of the Skeksis' three fingered hands, was the tip of the Crystal castle. The home of the self proclaimed lords and the prison that held the Crystal of truth within their reach.

Skektek the Scientist had just revealed his latest invention to the others who lived in the castle. The Garthim.
