Chapter Text

Kurt loves fashion and music. Sport? Not so much. Well besides soccer. When he was six his mother had the idea of doing something special together regularly. Since then he hardly ever missed a game from his team Lima United. He grew up like that, watching players grow older, leaving eventually and new players join the team.

When Kurt was eight his mom died but his dad and he kept the tradition. He realized that he got old when the players started to be his age. Today he is 25, still watching and cheering from the bleachers like he always did. Like he always will. It's a tradition. When his family couldn't join him Kurt always had his friends and if they can't he has enough courage by now to go alone. Like today. Today he's alone. Quinn visits some family, Sam is at a family meeting too and Will has a business meeting. But that's fine too.

"Ready to give everything again Anderson?" Coach Chris Miller asks and Blaine nods "I think so". "And if not you give me a sign so I can replace you" the coach says and again the captain nods "Thanks coach". Two weeks ago Blaine got fouled during a game and had to pause a week, making sure the bruise is only a bruise and nothing more. Since the beginning of the week he's back on the field for training and ready to play again now.

They already warmed up and saw their fans, motivated as always. When the fans saw the line-up and the announcer reads "Our number 9. Blaine-" they yell back as loud as they can "Anderson". Their captain is back. As much as I'm honored to jump in for you as captain, I'm glad you're back. You're better. Now let's beat them today. Together" his best friend Nick says with a pat on Blaine's shoulder . They walk out on the field and the whole stadium cheers.

As soon as the game is on Blaine's head and body go into game mode. Full focus. When he wasn't playing last week they lost so today they need a win. They need the points. Blaine knows that many people count on him today. He doesn't brag but he knows that he is good and he knows that this is why he's one of the fan favorites. This is the reason why he doesn't brag about being a favorite. He's a favorite because he scores a lot but if they only know the player, the number nine. His friends know the real him, Blaine and that's what's important to him.

Out of breath Blaine takes a sip from his bottle. What a game. 3:1 and two of them were his. He's back! While drinking his teammates pass him, congratulating him and chatting with each other. Only after everyone drank something and catch their breath they go to the fence to party and celebrate with the fans.

About 20 minutes later they all are back inside the locker room. The striker can't wait to take a shower and get all of that sweat off him. It's not quite the hot summer anymore but for fall still warm and his clothes are glued to him.

"My maaan" Puck walks in Blaine's direction "Made the game as always". "We all played great today Puck. Good game guys" the curly haired man answers. "Hit the showers fellas. I see you at 11 tomorrow for the post game meeting. Now have some fun and celebrate" the coach says.

The water runs hot over Blaine's body, his muscles relax and his head clears up again. He can relax now, maybe go out with his friends for a bit.

Talking about the devil Mike, their goal keeper, turns to him "Puck and I eat dinner and head to a bar. Wanna join? Jeff picks up Nick and they go somewhere with Huntbastian". "Yeah. Not feeling like third wheeling today. Count me in" Blaine answers and steps out of the shower.

Kurt is in a good mood when he leaves the stadium. It was a good game to watch. It's good to have Blaine Anderson back. In all his time watching the team play Blaine is one of the best players they ever had. Together with Scupil who was on the team when Kurt was in high school. And Plagin who played his last two seasons when Kurt started to go to the games with his family.

But they were both older. In their mid-thirties. While Kurt was younger. Now the players are around Kurts age, if not younger. Blaine Anderson is 27 and started when he was 19. Kurt was about to finish high school when the team started with a group of other young players his age. They were and still are a very good team. Most of them stayed, a few left and a few came. Through everything Limas reputation sank but now it's better again and even though they went down a division a few years ago, by now it looks better again. Maybe they can make it up this season? It was already close the last one.

Now Blaine and the others who joined with him and stayed already play for 8 years. Since two season Blaine even is captain and Kurt couldn't imagine a better captain. Yes he might have had a little crush on Blaine back then. But that was in high school. They're adults now.

Like after every game Kurt needs a while to get out of the traffic but while slowly trying to get out of it he calls Quinn. "The game is over. Should I stop by at the market before I get to you?" the chestnut haired man asks. "No. I think I have everything we need. Thanks Kurt" the young woman answers "Is the traffic bad or should I start with something already?". "It was a good game so it could take a while but you can wait. I don't mind" Kurt shrugs. They talk for a minute longer before saying goodbye.

For the rest of the drive Kurt listens to his podcast, passing the time until he can drive faster again and eventually arrives at his destination. Together the best friends put on some music and start cooking while singing along. Once dinner is done they take their plates to the living room and turn on the tv to eat while watching a movie. Since they live in the same building and Kurt doesn't have to drive anymore they also open a bottle of wine to enjoy their evening.

Every now and then the friends cook together and watch movies, drink a glass, or a bottle, of wine and have a good time. Sometimes after competitions, after a long game or just because they want to. It's just the way they do it. Sometimes they invite others.

The burgers were amazing. The friends decided to skip the restaurant and simply eat at the bar. There isn't much to pick from but Mike, Puck and Blaine all decided that burgers are fine so they don't have to drive from one place to another. "Please never get hurt again. We love Nick and he's an amazing captain but there's only one you and we need you. As a striker and as a captain" Puck says with a laugh as they raise their glasses. The other two laugh too. "I try my best" the captain answers "To a great win".

Chapter Text

Another game won. Blaine is still amazed how many people follow their away matches. But sometimes they plan fan meetings after such games. To show how grateful they are for every fan and their support. Just like today. Their game was yesterday and today after the tactic meeting they have a fan meeting in front of the stadium.

They already saw and heard the people from inside. Now walking outside they see a crowd, cheering for them and wearing the teams colors. With a big smile they spread out. They give autographs, take pictures, talk to fans and answer their questions. In the crowd Blaine spots him. A man. He looks familiar. He's handsome. He was just talking to Hunter and now comes in Blaine's direction.

"Hi" grrrr. Why can't this handsome man be next? Instead an older man stands in front of him. "Awesome game yesterday. I run a page about the team on social media. Would you be free to answer a few short questions?" the man asks. Blaine nods "It's a fan meeting after all". It's not like he has a choice. While answering the questions Blaine can see the handsome man walking away to talk to Nick first, vanishing from his sight.

It feels like an eternity when the man finally finishes. A photo and an autograph later he finally leaves and in front of Blaine stands the handsome man. "Hey. How are you?" Blaine asks cheerful. Finally. "I'm good, thanks. How are you? Awesome game yesterday" the man answers. "Ah I bet you said that to everyone" Blaine laughs "I'm good too. Thanks".

"Of course I said it to everyone. You're a team after all" the man says. "True words. What's your name?" the captain asks. "Kurt. Could you maybe sign my scarf?" the man, Kurt, asks. "Sure" Blaine takes the sharpie and with a look at the scarf he sees "Uh. Lots of autographs already". "Yeah. This was one of my first ones but the last few times I took a different one so today it's time to collect more" Kurt laughs.

"You must be a fan for quite a long time then" the curly haired man says and Kurt nods "Since I'm a kid". Satisfied Kurt looks at the scarf before looking back at the soccer player "Could we also take a picture together?". "Sure thing" Blaine answers. Kurt takes out his phone and turns to stand next to Blaine to take a selfie. With a hand on Kurt's shoulder Blaine smiles widely into the camera.

The chestnut haired man takes a picture and thanks Blaine before saying goodbye. He talks to the players, collecting autographs and taking selfies before he goes to his car. On his way there he looks at the pictures he took. He likes the one with Blaine the most. But he can't stop looking at Blaine's hand on his shoulder. They are so close. It really was nice talking to him.

"Hey dad" Kurt greets "Look. I got more autographs for my scarf. I also took photos with most of the players". He smiles down to his dads initials caved into the gravestone. "Next time I get more autographs on your scarf too. You will like it. The team is on fire at the moment" he continues. "They were all very nice but when I wanted to talk to Blaine this man in front of me took an eternity to talk to him.

I was annoyed but went to someone else in the meantime. I think Blaine was even glad when that man went and I came so he could talk to someone else. Or maybe I'm just seeing things" he laughs "You'd probably think I'm crazy. You already thought I was crazy when Blaine and the others joined the team and I was excited because they are hardly older than I am. I still stand by that". With a look at the time he says "Now I have to go home. I have a few more exams to correct until tomorrow. I love you and I come by again soon".

"You two have to take me more often. It's been so long" Will says to the two men. "I'm glad Quinn could babysit while Emma is away" Sam answers. On that Kurt could only agree "The team is really good lately. You'll be really happy you came". Sometimes it's hard to have a friend with a kid but they manage and someday Wills son will be old enough to join them. Of course Will used to be their teacher but that's an old memory now. They are friends and a great team at school.

Of course they win. Well not of course like it's the most natural thing in the world but they are undefeated since quite a few games. So far the season is going really well even though they are only about a quarter into it. That means a lot can still happen and change. But it's also the time to give everything and intimidate the other teams for the rest of the season, showing them how good and strong of a team they are.

Blaine loves the adrenalin on the field but winning and getting cheered on by the fans is the best feeing he knows. Cheering, clapping, chanting and jumping with thousands of people. Nothing can compare to that. But there he is. Again. In the crowd. That handsome man. Kurt. Blaine doesn't even know why he still remembers his name. But maybe now Blaine knows why he looked familiar. He did say that he comes to every game for a long time after all.

He smiles at Kurt. To be honest he has no clue if Kurt really saw that at all or that it's really for him but he could swear that Kurt smiled back at him. Maybe he will see him again some time and talk to him again. But for now it's back inside and under the shower. It was a good game but also a hard one.

"Hey Nick can I ask you something?" Blaine asks while tying his shoes. "Sure man. What's up?" the other man asks. "Do you ever start spotting people in the crowd when they come regularly?" the curly haired man asks. "But I never pay attentions to single persons if they are not Jeffy. I see the crowd and I'm having fun with them" Nick answers. Blaine nods thoughtfully "So when they aren't Jeff you don't see them". "Exactly. Why?" the other man asks. "Oh. At the fan meeting last weekend there was this man and he somehow looked familiar somehow. I think it's because he's always here or so. I spotted him in the crowd earlier" Blaine sighs "Maybe you have a good eye. Nothing big. But if that keeps happening and you need someone to talk to, I'm there" Nick says and pats his friends shoulder.

But maybe it's not nothing. Blaine sees Kurt again. And again. And again. In the crowd, at one open practice, in the crowd again. He still remembers his name. Remembers what his voice sounded like. He wants to talk to him again. Maybe he will be at the open practice today? And if yes is there any way Blaine can talk to him? Thinking about practice. He should probably go.

Only a few people are there when Blaine arrives. But it's still quite early. Only noon. Most people are probably at work. But now it's time for practice. After that some late lunch and maybe he'll hit the gym after.

"Come on Kurt or we'll be late" the little blonde boy says when he gets into the car. Well maybe not so little anymore. Stevie is a young teen now, last year in middle school. "Hello to you too" Kurt laughs "We'll be fine. Practice only starts in a few minutes". Sometimes when Sam is busy Kurt helps with his little brother. Since Stevie is a Lima United and a soccer fan and Sam Still has to coach football at school Kurt promised to take him to open practice. That's why he picked him up from school, directly driving to the open practice.

Even though it's not a fan meeting Kurt brought his dads scarf along. That's his excuse to talk to the players. Besides, he felt bad getting his scarf signed and not his dads. The practice already started when the two arrive but according to the others they just finished warm up minutes ago.

When Blaine sees Kurt on the side lines he almost stumbles over his own feet. Yes he hoped to see him today but it still caught him by surprise that he actually came. Okay Blaine. Focus on training. You can talk to him later. Probably. Hopefully.

One and a half hour later they finally cool down. Before hitting the showers everyone grabs a towel and their bottle and goes to greet the fans. Blaine immediately goes to Kurt before someone interrupts them again. Act casual.

"You again. Kurt was it right?" the captain greets. "Oh my god Blaine Anderson! You're the best" the boy next to Kurt says. "Yeah me again. This is Stevie. My best friends little brother" Kurt introduces. "Hi Stevie. Nice to meet you" Blaine greets and turns to Kurt again "I saw you in the crowd last time. You and your friends". "One of them was my brother" Stevie tells excited.

"Told you. I'm always there. I have another scarf if you wouldn't mind signing again" Kurt says shyly. The soccer player nods "Sure. Do you have a pen?". "I got one but it's in my bag in the car" Stevie says "Can I go and get it?". Kurt laughs and gives the boy the key to the car.

"So. How are you?" Blaine asks, trying to have some sort of conversation until Stevie comes back. They talk casually, like friends who haven't talked in a while, and when Stevie comes back Blaine signs the scarf, Stevie's shirt and takes a picture with the blonde boy.

Kurt collects the others autographs too, just like Stevie who also takes pictures with the players. With a look at the time Kurt turns to him "It's getting late. Let's go home. You still need to do your homework and I told Sam we won't stay too long". At the same time the team slowly leaves for the locker room and Nick catches up to his best friend "You and I will eat together. I need to talk to you". "I still want to hit the gym" Blaine answers and his best friend nods "I tag along but food first. I'm starving".

Chapter Text

"So. What do you want to talk about?" Blaine asks after their order came. "It's him. The one you always spot in the crowd. It's the one you went to first thing after practice right?" Nick assumes. His friend hangs his head but nods "Yeah. I think I'm going crazy. I want to talk to him. Like something pulls me towards him".

"Do you want to get to know him?" the other man asks. Blaine nods "So much. Why?". "I might have an idea" Nick winks "I talked to Jeff. You tell me where he always stands and the next game Jeff can go and stand next to him. Jeff saw him earlier as well so he know what he looks like. He can get some information, check if he's alright and all that stuff". "That would be awesome. I love you two. You're the best" the curly haired man smiles. "Now let's eat up or it's already dinner time when we arrive at the gym" Nick says laughing and the other man could only agree to that.

It's a solid plan. It doesn't take Jeff long to spot the man he's looking for. "Hey, can I stand with you guys? My friend canceled on me" he asks and the man, Kurt, nods "Sure". The woman next to him laughs "I'm also just a space filler. Our friend canceled on him too". "So you're not a big fan?" Jeff asks, making conversation, and the woman shakes her head "Supporter yes, fan not really. I'm Quinn".

"Jeff" the blonde answers shaking her hand and turning to the man who introduces himself "Kurt. I think I saw you at the open practice last week". "Yep. My boyfriend is on the team. Nick Duval" Jeff smiles widely. "That must be so cool" Kurt says and sees the other man nod "It is. I saw you talking to Blaine at the practice. Is he your favorite player?".

"I admire his spirit. But the team as it is now is really good. Great dynamic" Kurt says but thinking that Quinn would have his back was a mistake as she wraps an arm around him and says "He has a crush on Blaine but won't admit it" before she laughs. "Thanks Fabray" Kurt rolls his eyes but the woman just answers "You're welcome" with a sweet smile. "There they come" Jeff interrupts them, pointing to the field.

Only in the halftime the group talks more, getting to know each other and becoming friends. During the game they are too focused on the game itself and on cheering on the team. First it was mostly Kurt and Blaine but Quinn got the hang of it pretty quickly. She got Sams ticket but maybe she should come along more often because the mood is really nice and she's definitely having fun.

The game ends with a tie but it was a good game and the mood is great. Both teams were really strong today but maybe next week Lima United can win again. When Nick looks out for Jeff, wo waves, Blaine looks in the same directions and Kurt tries his best t hide his blush. He could've imagined it but he could swear that Blaine looked directly at him.

It starts to get more quiet when the team goes back to the locker room but they will talk about the game, what they did and what they can do better next week tomorrow. It's already after four and even though Blaine ran quite a lot today he might even go for a run later to shake everything from today off.

"Jeff picks me up now. You can come along so Jeff can tell us what he and Kurt talked about" Nick says while he packs his bag. "I wanted to go for a run later" Blaine says. He tries to act casual. Kurt is just a guy. A guy Jeff got to know a little and Blaine is dying for information. "We take you to us, we chat, you and I go for a run and you have dinner with us" the other man says "No discussion. I know you want to know everything".

"He is 25 and high school teacher" Jeff tells when the three of them sit comfortably in the living room. "He sometimes comes with his friends but if they can't make it he comes alone. I told him that he and I can watch the came together if his friends can't make it and gave him my number so I'll be standing there more often from now on" he continues, directing the last part to his boyfriend. Blaine's eyes open wide but before he can says anything Jeff adds "No he hasn't texted me yet".

"Also his last name is Hummel if you want to google him later" the blonde smirks and Nick adds, laughing "And as we know you, you will do that". "Ha. Ha. Thank you" the curly haired man says but yes he will totally do that. It's something he does. Looking people up on the internet. Even though he knows that a lot of things written there aren't true. A lot of stuff on the internet about him isn't true.

"I got more. Good stuff" Jeff says "He likes men and even though he didn't react he also didn't deny when his friend said that he has a crush on you". "Really? Awesome. I have a shot. I just have to figure out how to approach him" the curly haired man grins. "We'll figure that part out together Blainers" Nick says "Now let's change and go for a run before it's dinner time. You can lend some of my clothes".

"I start with dinner. Don't stay out for too long. It's already dark and getting colder. I don't want you two to get sick" Jeff says and he's right. It's the beginning of November and suddenly winter is coming closer really fast.

Before the next game at home Nick and Blaine figured something out, again with Jeffs help because after a week Kurt texted him, asking if they want to go to the game to the game together.

At the game the two new found friends stand where Kurt always does, talk and watch the game that Lima United wins 2:1. Blaine feels like he's on another planet as the adrenaline rushes through him and he feels pumped. So pumped that the next part won't be a problem.

"Do you want to come to the front with me? I want to say Hi to Nick before they hit the shower and most people at the front are gone" Jeff asks and the other man nods. While everyone slowly leaves the two go to the fence, waiting for Nick to come their way. And not only Nick but Blaine too.

"Hey Babe" Nick greets and turns to Kurt "And you must be Kurt. Jeff told me about you". "Yeah that's me. Good game today. Both of you" Kurt greets, looking at Nick and then at Blaine. A little too long at Blaine. "Thanks" Blaine nods shortly. In the corner of his eye he sees Nick and Jeff stepping aside a little bit. This is his chance.

"Nice to see you again Kurt" the captain greets and Kurt nods "You too. How are you?". "With the game won awesome but now also kinda exhausted" Blaine says and the other man nods. It was an evening game and Kurt too had a long day. Before he could answer Blaine his phone starts to ring.

The call is only a few seconds long but after that Kurt grimaces "Sorry but I have to go. My best friend is out of town and his little brother needs to be picked up from a sleep over". "No problem but before you go, take this. I need to tell you something but I thought it would be easier if I write it down. It makes sense when you read it" Blaine rambles and gives Kurt a piece of paper "Now drive safe. Text when you get home and I see you at the next game".

"Text when I get home?" Kurt asks. Fuck. He slipped. "Jeff. Text Jeff when you get home safely" he rushes to say. Kurt only nods unsure and confused before turning to the couple "Bye Jeff, bye Nick". Now he has to get to his car quickly and hope he doesn't have too much traffic.

"Did everything go well? Why did he leave so quickly?" Nick asks once Kurt is out of eyesight. "He has to pick up his best friends brother but I gave him the note and I'm sure he'll read it later. Now I have to wait so let's go inside. It's cold" Blaine answers "I see you soon Jeff". "I'm back on Monday" he answers and kisses his boyfriend who nods "Give me a call when you arrived at your parents. Blainers and I celebrate the victory with the others".

"Thanks for picking me up Kurt" Stevie says when they walk in Kurt's apartment. "Of course. Do you feel a bit better or should I call Sam or your parents?" the chestnut haired man asks. Stevie shakes his head "My parents should enjoy their vacation and Sam is busy enough". "Okay but tomorrow we call Sam and you stay here for the rest of the weekend. I don't want you sick and alone at home" Kurt says.

This is how they work. Sam's parents are gone more often since his father got a new job. Business trips and a vacation here and there but they had bad times so the brothers want them to enjoy it. At times they are gone Stevie stays at Sam's and if Sam is busy he still has Kurt and Quinn. He is responsible enough to stay at home alone for a weekend but it's nice to have someone, especially when he's not feeling well. This is only one of the plus sides of the three of them living in the same building. After school the friends from glee club spread but the three of them could never really separate and stayed together.

"Now you get comfortable in bed and I make you a tea. It's already quite late and after a good night's sleep you probably feel better tomorrow. If you need something you can wake me up" Kurt says and sends the boy to the spare bedroom. When he bought the apartment it was an office because of the size but he made a bedroom out of it that's just enough for Stevie or guests. Mostly Stevie though.

Kurt cooks a tea and after checking on Stevie he sits down in the living room and turns on the tv. Now that everything is settled he can read the message Blaine gave him earlier.

Hey Kurt
This might sound weird but since we talked I always have to think of you. I spot you in the crowd, every time. And I really want to get to know you better so if you want that too and I'm not imagining this connection text me.
Blaine

Below his name Blaine wrote a number. His number. Blaine Anderson gave Kurt his number after the game. And he had to leave. Blaine Anderson wants to get to know him better and god he wants to get to know Blaine better as well. Text when you get home. Now that makes sense too.

Kurt: I thought instead of texting Jeff I could just text you. I'm home.
Blaine: Good to know
Blaine: I didn't want to use Jeff as an excuse but this slipped and you had to go but I didn't want to give it away so I didn't thought about it
Kurt: It's alright. I'm sorry I had to leave so suddenly but it was an emergency
Blaine: Is he the boy you took to the open practice? Is everything alright?
Kurt: Yeah. Stevie will be fine. Probably just ate something wrong.
Blaine: That's good to know. It's admirable how you have their back
Kurt: We always do. They support me and the other way around. It works for us since we know each other
Blaine: For us too. That's what true friends are like.
Kurt: Exactly. Talking about got to know each other. I like your message and I would love to get to know each other
Blaine: I hoped you would say that. For a moment I thought I overstepped something with my note
Kurt: No it was cute. At least I say so. What are you doing?
Blaine: The team and I hand in a bar, celebrate the victory but I think I'll head home soon. Long day
Kurt: You don't say. Text me when you get home safely
Blaine: Will do

Blaine: Safely arrived home
Blaine: I don't even know if you're still awake
Kurt: It's almost 2 am. But yes I am. I had to check on Stevie. You stayed quite long for wanting to go home
Blaine: Welcome to celebrating with the team. Here a beer, there a shot or if we don't drink because of training then another game of darts, pool table and so on, waiting for the taxi. I could fall asleep while standing. Luckily we only have a meeting at 2
Kurt: Lucky you. I have a teachers conference at 11
Blaine: But it's the weekend
Kurt: Yeah welcome in the world of a teacher. Besides it's not really official but some things to organize
Blaine: Still sucks. I let you sleep now but we can continue tomorrow. Sounds good?
Kurt: Sounds awesome. Good night Blaine
Blaine: Good night Kurt

Blaine: Already up?
Kurt: Good morning. For a while. I'm about to leave now
Blaine: Good morning. Sounds like a busy morning
Kurt: Kinda. Had to call Sam about his brother, ask Quinn to have an eye on him and make breakfast. Did you just woke up?
Blaine: Yes. I think I go for a run before the meeting so I stay in bed for a little longer, make a smoothie, go for a run and eat breakfast
Kurt: Sounds like a plan, cozy morning. I have to go now but I text you later?
Kurt: Blaine?
Kurt: I think you fell back asleep. Well a good morning again if you read this

Blaine: How is Stevie?
Kurt: Only missed a day of school. He came back today
Blaine: That's good to head. Is he going to the school where you teach?
Kurt: Nope. He's in middle school. I teach high school
Blaine: So he'll be your student someday. Are you still at work?
Kurt: Yeah. One more class and then I'm off. What are you doing?
Blaine: On my way to the gym. This week's game will be tough so I want to be in top shape so a little gym session after training won't hurt
Kurt: Sounds good. Now I have to go. The glee club is waiting for me
Blaine: Glee club? How cool! I used to be in a glee club in high school too!
Kurt: Good taste. Me too. Now I took over the glee club I was in and my teacher from back then is now the principle and actually a friend of mine
Blaine: That sounds very cool
Kurt: I have to leave now. Have fun at the gym and don't exhaust yourself too much
Blaine: Have fun at glee. We talk later right?
Kurt: Of course

Kurt: Excited for the game?
Blaine: Absolutely. But also nervous. Today will be tough
Kurt: I'm sure you will be amazing. You always are. The team is awesome. I listen to the game from here but sadly the lessons for next week don't prepare themselves
Blaine: You do your work and I do mine. Knowing that you listen is enough.
Kurt: Fingers crossed and we'll talk more after the game. Now game mode on captain
Blaine: Hey you know my mantra
Kurt: Of course I do. Now go and imagine me cheering the loudest

Kurt: How bad is the mood?
Blaine: Pretty bummed out and the traffic is bad so the ride home seems endless
Kurt: Hey no. You were good. The other team was just a little better this time. I'm sure the next game you'll win again
Blaine: That's easy to say Kurt. But let's change the topic. Got all your work done?
Kurt: Almost. Got a bit distracted by the game from time to time

Kurt: More or less every time something big could've happen, happened and maybe or not every time I heard your name
Blaine: I'm honored but sorry that I kept you away from your work
Blaine: Nick is bored and annoys me. I text you later when were back in Lima and let you focus on your work now
Kurt: Okay and if you want to talk or rant I' here for you Blaine

(On the phone)
Blaine: Hey. I hope I'm not interrupting anything?
Kurt: No. I finished work. Finally. I think my brain is cooked when I think about everything that needs to be done until the holidays start. I already feel sorry for these kids
Blaine: Oh yeah I remember what it felt like. I always thought the teachers don't have as much work as we do
Kurt: We do. In less subjects but for more students. But the students have so many different subjects to focus on that I try to make it easy for them
Blaine: You seem to be a great teacher
Kurt: I try to be. I hated most of my teachers back then. Will was one of the only ones I liked
Blaine: The one who is principal now?
Kurt: That's the one. But enough about me. You were the one calling me. Everything alright?
Blaine: Yeah... No... I don't know. I really wanted to win this game with the team. Now, at home, I just wanted to talk to someone. About anything really.
Kurt: That's okay. Sometimes we just need a bit of company. So. You were in a glee club?
Blaine: Glee, debate, soccer. Nick and I were in soccer club together because football was full. In the end this was the best decision ever and Jeff was in glee with us.
Kurt: Wait. You went to Dalton right? Wasn't the glee club called the Warblers?
Blaine: That was us. Why?
Kurt: We competed against each other. McKinley High New Directions. Regionals this year will be against the Warblers too
Blaine: You were really good if I remember right
Kurt: You too. But we still kicked your ass. Now I will start making dinner because it's already quite late
Blaine: You're right. Let's make dinner together. I'm getting hungry
Kurt: I believe you. Hey, was that your stomach I just heard?
Blaine: Hey, stop. No. You're mean. Also I think it was yours
Kurt: Or maybe we're both just really hungry

Kurt: How was practice?
Blaine: Exhausting. But I have physical therapy later so it's fine
Kurt: I know that you all have that but what are you doing there if you're not injured?
Blaine: Preventing injuries, training specific muscles, strengthen parts we need for playing and sometimes just muscle relaxation
Kurt: Massages?
Blaine: Sometimes yes
Blaine: What about you? Still at school?
Kurt: It's only noon. I'm having my lunch break right now with Sam and Quinn
Blaine: Do they know that we're texting?
Kurt: Yeah. They're my best friends. I hope you're okay with that and I didn't overstep anything?
Blaine: No you're not. You don't need to think that. I was just curious
Kurt: They were really excited. For me. For us.
Blaine: Are you excited?
Kurt: More than that. Every time we text and call. Even if those last two weeks were stressful
Blaine: They were. But I'm excited too. I hope that we can meet soon. Outside of the stadium
Kurt: I'd love that!
Blaine: But for now I see you tomorrow right?
Kurt: As always. Same spot with Jeff

Blaine: Drive safe and thank you. Let Jeff take you to the back after the game and I meet you there okay?
Kurt: Can't wait. Now game mode on captain. I'm sure it'll be a good game
Blaine: I hope you're right
Kurt: I'm sure. I'll cheer the loudest
Blaine: I'm sure you will

Lima United won 4:1. After last game this is a pleasant change. Kurt can't help but grin when he sees Blaine's wide smile. He can't even imagine how happy he must be. He and the whole team of course. It's been a while since there was so much celebration after a game, especially that long. They're all just so happy. Eventually thought the team goes back inside and the place starts to clear off.

"If I understood Nick right I take you with me now so follow me" Jeff smiles and starts leading the way. "Are you excited?" he asks and Kurt nods "But also kinda nervous. We texted and we talked on the phone but we haven't met since I had to leave so quickly". "It'll be fine. Blaine really likes you and I'd say you two would be great together. He's looking forward to see you" Jeff smiles. The chestnut haired man nods "Me too".

"Blaine you don't need to hurry. We said you and I leave together and I'm not that fast" Nick laughs. "Why do you have to hurry anyway?" Hunter asks and Seb adds "Party at Pucks". "C'mon man. Let's have some fun. You're part of the win. Two goals dude!" Puck says but Blaine shakes his head "Sorry". "He's meeting someone" Nick spills the tea and the team goes "Uhh".

"Thanks Nick. Shut up guys!" Blaine rolls his eyes but he can't hide his blush "Besides it's the first time we really met. We only texted or called or small talk at a fan meeting and so on". "He's a fan or what?" Mike asks "If yes be careful". "A fan of the team. He told me that he goes to every game since he's little. It's not that he's just here because he's a fan of me or of us. He seems sincere and I really like him as far as I can tell by now and I want to get to know him better" the captain says.

He shoots a look over at Nick "Ready to go?". "Yes you impatient lovesick idiot" the other man says. He takes his bag and both say goodbye to the others before leaving. After the warmth inside the cool November air feels like a hit in the face but it's not bad, almost exciting, with Kurt and Jeff waiting for them.

Kurt doesn't have to think long. He doesn't think at all. He's happy that they won. He's proud of Blaine and he missed him. They connected over the past two weeks but seeing him and being able to talk face to face with his is a complete different feeling. As soon as Blaine and Nick come outside Kurt's eyes widen and he runs in Blaine's arms.

It takes the curly haired man by surprise but he hugs Kurt back and greets "Hey". "Hey" Kurt answers and let's go of the man again "You were awesome". Then he turns to Nick "You too. All of you really". "Thanks" Nick says before kissing Jeff hello "Hi baby".

"How about you and I go somewhere to talk. And maybe eat? I'm always hungry after games" Blaine proposes. "I'd like that. A lot" the other man answers with a grin and both say goodbye to Nick and Jeff, watching them leave. "So. Do we walk? My car? Your car?" Kurt asks, suddenly realizing how close they are standing and stepping back a bit.

"Let's take your car. You can drive home after we ate and I jog back to my car. Gives me a little post game exercise" the curly haired man suggests. The other man laughs "But don't run too fast after we ate". Blaine joins in before they quiet down again and look at each other. Slowly and carefully Blaine takes the other man's hand, the soft touch tingling underneath “Lead the way”.

Their hands don't part the whole way to the car. By now all fans left so there won't be too much traffic and no one notices the fan and the player walking hand in hand to a car. They get in and Blaine says "I lead the way to the place. Do you eat meat?". "Yes" the other man answers and smiles when Blaine says "Then I know just the place".

The chestnut haired man turns the car on and immediately a theatre song starts playing. Kurt blushes "Sorry" but before he can turn it off the other man takes his hand, stopping him "Don't apologize. I like Musicals". Both smile and Blaine lets go of the other man's hand again so they can drive. He's really hungry.

On their way to the restaurant both men just have to sing along to the music. At first Kurt is a bit surprised before he remembers "Right. A fellow former glee member" and both laugh. "Your voice is beautiful Blaine" he then compliments. Eyes on the road he can't see Blaine blush before he returns "Yours too. So unique and beautiful" before adding "Turn left at the stop sign there".

The restaurant Blaine chose is a little Mexican place, private enough to not get recognized and super cozy. They sit down at a free table and order. While eating they talk about everything and nothing. Light talk, getting to know each other.

Only when they wait for the bill Blaine says "I know neither of us planned this or is dressed for this or anything" he laughs "But how about we consider this a date?". Before Kurt could answer Blaine continues "I had a really great evening and I like you a lot Kurt. So let me pay today and sometime else, not after a game, I get to invite you on a real date?".

It's silent for a moment. Then Kurt chuckles "Are you done rambling?". The curly haired man blushes but nods so Kurt answers "I'd love this to be a date and I would love to go on another date with you. I really like you too Blaine". A big smile spreads on Blaine's lips as he answers "Okay. It's a date".

Even after paying the two men stay a bit longer, taking extra long to finish their drinks. Eventually they realize how late it got so they go outside where Blaine brings Kurt to his car. "Thanks for this evening. I had a great time" Kurt says. He leans against his car, not ready to get in yet, and Blaine stands in front of him.

This time it's Kurt who takes the other man's hand. "Me too" the other man says with a smile. It's dark outside and the light is weak but still Blaine sees the beauty in Kurt's eyes. Feeling the pull and not being able to resist he leans in, inches away from Kurt's face. Kurt's lips. Less and less until their lips meet. Fireworks explode. At least in their heads. In their bodies.

Suddenly Blaine's phone rings, causing them to break this magical kiss. "Sorry. I have to take this" Blaine says and answers the phone, turning away from Kurt. If he looks at him he can't possibly concentrate on the call. "Blaine? Are you okay?" the coach asks. "Yeah. What's up Chris?" the other man asks. "I just got a call from stadium security. Your car is still there and gates close in half an hour. I thought something happened because you haven't left yet. Wherever you are if you don't want your car locked in until tomorrow, you better go and get it. Or you can walk back to the stadium tomorrow" Chris tells.

"Shit. I didn't realize it's that late already. Thanks for calling. I'm on my way" Blaine says and his coach answers "No problem. I'm glad to hear you're okay. See you tomorrow". "Yeah. Bye Chris" Blaine says and ends the call, turning back to Kurt again.

"That was my coach. I have to get back to my car or it'll get locked in" he apologizes. "It's okay. It's late anyway. Should I give you a ride?" the chestnut haired man asks but Blaine shakes his head "No it's okay. It's a god exercise". "Okay. Text me when you get home safely" Kurt says and hugs the other man quickly. "You too. I has a great evening and we'll text, call and see each other soon" the other man says.

Kurt watches him start running and only when Blaine is out of sight Kurt gets into his car. He takes a few deep breaths, trying to process what just happened. Before he starts the car he dials Quinn's number and starts driving. The woman picks up her phone when he's back on the street "Hey".

"Hi. Are you home?" Kurt asks. "Yeah" the woman answers so Kurt asks further "Do you know if Sam is too?". "He should be" Quinn says "Why?". "Okay I'm home in 15 minutes and I really need to talk" Kurt says and immediately the woman gets worried "Is everything okay?". "Yes I'm okay, everything's okay" Kurt answers "There's just something I need to talk about".

Chapter Text

When Kurt comes home his friends already wait in front of his door. He says hello to both of them but they will only talk inside. Quickly he sends a text to Blaine, telling him that he's home, before turning his attention to his friends.

"So. What's the emergency?" Sam asks and two pair of eyes look at him expectantly. "Blaine asked me to pick him up after the game and we ate together. A date" he tells and before he can continue Quinn squeals excited and hugs Kurt. "That's amazing. Do you want to go on a second date?" the blonde man asks and Quinn adds "And do you know if he wants too?". The chestnut haired man laughs at his friends excitement "We both want to but hold on because I wasn't done".

"There's more?" Quinn asks and makes her best friend blush "Wait until I'm finished before you squeal again okay?". The two friends nod and after a deep breath Kurt says "He brought me to the car because he wanted to run back to the stadium to his car, like a post game workout. We had this moment and he kissed me". Seeing Quinn's expression he throws in "Stop. I'm not finished. Because his phone rang and it was his coach. Something with gates and his car but it seemed urgent. We quickly said goodbye and he left. And that's that".

"Now I'm done" Kurt lets out a breath. "He kissed you? Just like that and you didn't talk about it?" Quinn asks, seeing the other man shake his head "But I need to talk about it. The kiss was amazing and I felt more than I ever thought I could. I just don't know about him". "Why don't you just text him? Or call him?" Sam asks, earning a stern look from his friends.

"Sam this isn't something to talk about over the phone" Quinn says and the chestnut haired man agrees "This means too much to me to do this over the phone. I just don't know when we will see each other again. We're both super busy". "I'd say You wait until you two meet again" the woman suggests.

Kurt nods "Sounds like a plan". His phone rings and when Kurt checks he can't hide his smile. "What did your number nine say?" Sam asks and Kurt says "That he arrived home safely and that he had a really nice evening and that he will call me tomorrow after the meeting because he goes to bed now". Quickly he answers before putting his phone away and groaning "I just want to kiss him again".

"Blaine it's late, I'm exhausted from the game and Jeff and I just wanted to go to sleep. What's so important?" a grumpy Nick answers the phone. "I kissed Kurt" Blaine answers and his best friend jolts up in bed "What?!" before putting the phone on speaker for his boyfriend to hear. "I kissed Kurt and he kissed me back" Blaine repeats with a sigh.

"Are you two together now?" Jeff asks excited but the other man sighs "No but I want to. After- No, while kissing my phone rang. Chris reminded me I still have my car parked at the stadium so I had to run to get it before it gets locked in". "Well one thing is clear. You don't confess feelings over the phone. Maybe you two can meet again before the next home game or so" Nick says.

The blonde nods "Especially because you two have some stuff to talk about. I got together with Nick in high school but we're not in high school anymore and Blaine you are the most popular of us all. If you two get together you might also need to talk about how open you want to be and stuff like that". "You've got a point. Thanks guys. I let you sleep now. I just really needed to talk to someone" the curly haired man says.

"Always there for you Blainers. Sleep well and don't stay up too long" Nick says and his best friend answers "I won't. You two sleep well too and sweet dreams. I see you tomorrow Nick". He hangs up and sighs. Thinking too much about it is no use now anyway. Maybe he should just get ready for bed, drink a tea and check out social media a bit. He hasn't checked Instagram before the game so there's probably a bit to repost, comment and like.

Blaine: What are your plans for this rainy Sunday?
Kurt: I have to prepare everything for class next week. Is your meeting over?
Blaine: Just wrapped up. Some of the guys and me are hitting the gym now. Next weeks game will be tough and after we already lost the last away game I don't want to lose again. Especially not against the blue flags.
Kurt: I hate them
Blaine: We have a losing strike of six against them so I really want us to win and show them what we got you know?
Kurt: I'm sure you will. All of you are in top shape and if you practice techniques over the week I feel like nothing can beat you. Lima United is an amazing team and Blaine you are a good captain. I can't see into the locker room but from what I see on the field you're good. As a person too. I believe in you Blaine and in the team.
Kurt: Wow. I didn't thought this would be so long. Sorry.
Blaine: It's okay. Really sweet actually. Thank you Kurt. This made my day.
Kurt: Anytime. Now have fun at the gym. I have to get back to my work now too or I'm sitting here all night.
Blaine: I'll text you later?
Kurt: Whenever you want. Greet Nick from me if he's there too

Blaine: Good morning
Kurt: Good morning sleepy head
Blaine: Am I disturbing you at work?
Kurt: You never. But I'm just getting a new coffee and after that I have to get back to the class
Blaine: Okay. Just wanted to ask how you are today and if you want to call later. Some company while I do some laundry
Kurt: We can. As long as you don't mind me working a bit. I have to grade a few presentations. I'm good by the way. You?
Blaine: I'm good too. Practice yesterday was exhausting so I slept a bit longer and later I have physical therapy
Kurt: Sounds like a relaxing day. I have glee later and we really need to work on the choreography
Blaine: Have fun. I still think about how cool it is that we competed against each other back then. I even think I still got it, dancing and singing
Kurt: You have to prove that to me first
Blaine: You already heard me sing
Kurt: But I need to see you dance too. I'm not a bad dancer and Quinn is good. She even used to be a cheerleader when she went to school. We always try to find a combination of dancing and singing for maximum energy
Blaine: Sounds promising. I'm sure one day I get to show you what I still can. Now I let you go back to work. Text me when you're free to call
Kurt: Will do. Talk to you later
Blaine: Can't wait

"So you two chat normally like the kiss didn't even happen?" Quinn asks on their way to glee practice. "And tonight he calls me. I don't want to talk over the phone about this but it's just so hard and it's only Thursday" the man sighs "And we probably won't be able to meet on the weekend because it's a tough game". "Maybe the week after that?" the woman asks "Before the next home game?". "I don't know. Depends on how the game will end and how much progress we make with the glee kids" Kurt answers "Now lets go".

Kurt: Tie. Not a win but also no losing streak anymore
Blaine: You've got a point but I still wish we would've won
Kurt: I know but try to cheer up. You didn't lost and that's what counts right?
Blaine: True. Thank you. What did you do today?
Kurt: Quinn and I went shopping and tomorrow we have to shop for outfits for Regionals
Blaine: Sounds like an expensive weekend. When do you have Regionals?
Kurt: March. But we want to look before everything is sold out or gets too expensive and the kids need time to practice in the clothes so we have time to adjust the choreography or the clothes if we have to
Blaine: You two have fun. At least it sounds more fun than meeting and regeneration tomorrow
Kurt: You get through this. Now go to sleep. I think today was exhausting
Blaine: You're right. Good night Kurt. Sleep well

With his coffee Kurt sits down in the teacher's lounge with his friends and sighs "I'm going nuts". "Will you meet this week or only at the game?" Sam asks and sees his best friend shrug "We didn't talk about that yet". "Maybe find a day where they have practice in the afternoon instead of the mornings and go pick him up" Will suggests and Quinn adds "And don't worry about glee. I got that covered". "You know what? I ask him" Kurt says, taking out his phone.

Kurt: How was practice?
Blaine: Okay. Nothing compared to Wednesday. Practice in the morning, break, practice in the afternoon
Kurt: But after that you're free to relax?
Blaine: Yes and I will definitely do that after the long day
Kurt: When do you finish Wednesday?
Blaine: Starting at 8 am and finishing at 4 pm. But I'll text you in my break anyway
Kurt: And I will motivate you for the afternoon practice
Blaine: Because you always find the right words to do that
Blaine: I still don't know how you do that by the way
Kurt: Well I'm just good with words
Kurt: I have to go now but I text you later when I'm done with work
Blaine: And send me the outfits you and Quinn have picked yesterday
Kurt: Right. Because you never got to pick because of your uniforms
Blaine: Ha. Ha. Now back to work
Kurt: Right. Talk to you later

"It's settled. Wednesday 4 pm. I will pick him up and we can talk" Kurt says. "Did you tell him that you come or will this be a surprise?" the oldest man asks. "I surprise him. Or wait. What if he hates surprises? Should I have told him? Maybe I text him now" Kurt rambles but his friends laugh. "I think it would be cute if you surprise him. Will? Would you like to help me with the choreography? You're good and Kurt can be calm because we continue practicing while he takes care of his love life and we won't miss any opportunities" Quinn asks and the man nods "Always there to help the glee club out".

Kurt is more than nervous when he gets out of his car. Since it's not an open practice he won't be able to go to the field. Instead he just waits in front of the gate. The team should come out any moment now. This has to work. They need to talk.

The first person Kurt sees is Hunter. He looks surprised at Kurt before turning around and yelling "Anderson you've got a visitor". He turns back around and winks at Kurt before wrapping an arm around Sebastian and leaving. Mike and Puck also look surprised at him before leaving. Only then he comes down. Blaine. Comfortable clothes, still red in the face and his hair damp.

"Kurt" he says surprised but jogs towards him "Hi". "Hi" Kurt answers when he stands in front of him. "What are you doing here? I thought you have glee?" the player asks, seeing the other man blush "We need to talk so I thought I surprise you". "Good idea. We definitely need to talk because I'm going nuts" Blaine laughs.

"Thank god. Me too but I didn't want to talk about this over the phone" the chestnut haired man laughs and the other man joins "Me too. But I didn't know when and how we should meet". "Will gave me the idea and instead of me he is doing glee with Quinn right now" Kurt says. "That's really good" Blaine says. They should stop with the small talk. They should talk about the kiss. But where to start?

"I couldn't stop thinking about you" Blaine says after a moment of silence "About you and the kiss". Kurt couldn't answer. Couldn't open his mouth. Couldn't find the words. Instead he leans in, pressing his lips on Blaine's and cupping his face.

"I'm crazy about you" Kurt whispers when they part. "Go out with me. On a coffee. Now. Because before we do anything we should talk. Properly" Blaine answers "I know a place just around the corner". He takes Kurt's hand, leading the way and only a few minutes they are there.

"One nonfat Mokka please" Kurt orders and Blaine adds "And a medium drip please" before paying. "You already paid last time. That's unfair" Kurt pouts but the other man laughs "I also said that I want to have coffee with you so my treat. Besides, like I said we still need to talk so let's find a seat". With their coffee the two men sit down and this time Blaine doesn't hesitates.

"So. We figured out we like each other but before we go anywhere from that we need to talk about me. No, wait. Let me rephrase because that sounded selfish. I want us to be comfortable but I have followers, fans, there is the media and everything. That sounded self-centered. Again. Sorry. But we need to be on the same page. Not tell the press at all, maybe risking getting exposed or being public and share as much as we feel comfortable" Blaine mumbles.

"Don't worry about sounding self-centered. I know what you mean. I follow you on Instagram as well“ Kurt chuckles. “How about we start by you just saying you have a boyfriend if it ever comes up and then we'll just see about how much we want to share" Kurt answers. "Okay" Blaine nods with a smile and takes Kurt's hand "Boyfriends?". "Boyfriends" Kurt confirms with a grin spreading on his lips.

"And you're sure? Once anything is out in the media it's too late to change that" Blaine asks to make sure "Because I really want this, us, to work". "Me too. We only share what we both are comfortable with and if anything happens we find a solution together" Kurt answers "Are we officially boyfriends now? Or do you want to ask one more time to make sure again? Because I really want to hold your hand again and kiss you".

"You have to get up if you want to kiss me and come to me because after double practice I'm not moving" Blaine laughs "But yes. Boyfriends". His hand on the table takes Kurt's while the later laughs "The kiss can wait then". While finishing their coffees the two men talk about everything and nothing, telling each other about their day. They take their time but never once do their hands part.

Eventually they go back to the parking lot. Kurt still needs to prepare something for a class the next day and talk to Quinn, about glee and about Blaine and Blaine needs to tell Nick and Jeff what happened before he orders dinner and falls into bed. Today was awesome but exhausting.

"Where's your car?" Kurt asks but the other man swallows "I came with Nick because we wanted to leave together so I wanted to call an uber for now". "Bullshit. Lead the way and I drive you" the chestnut haired man says. Blaine laughs "But only if we sing together again". "That can be arranged" Kurt answers, pulling Blaine to his car by their joined hands.

At Kurt's car they stop and before Kurt can open the door Blaine is there, turning him around and almost pressing him against the car. "Our first kiss was like this but my phone interrupted us. Time to make up for that again" the curly haired man says with a smile before leaning in. This time they don't part because of some kinds of interruption but because they both need air again.

"Let's get you home Blaine. You look exhausted" Kurt says after the kiss and the other man nods "I am". A short peek more before they get into the car, Kurt picks his playlist and starts driving according to Blaine's navigations while both sing along to the music playing. From last time and now Blaine decided that Kurt's music taste is awesome and he loves to sing along, especially with Kurt.

About 20 minutes later they stop in front of a building and the music stops. "Thanks for driving me Kurt" the older man says and unbuckles his seat belt. "You're very welcome" the other man answers. He turns slightly to face Blaine, softly pulling him closer with a hand on his neck for a kiss goodbye. "Text me when you're home" the curly haired man says and Kurt nods. Blaine gets out of the car, taking his bag from the back seat and goes inside. Only when the door closed behind him Kurt starts the engine again and drives home.

"I know why we all have dinner together but before I say anything, did you make progress with the choreography?" Kurt asks when he sits down. He wasn't even home for five minutes when Quinn texted him to come over for dinner in half an hour. At least she made lasagna. "The first song looks good. Now we need to repeat it a few times until the can do it well on their own and then we can get started with the next song" Will says.

"And before you say anything let us congratulate you. It's obvious that it went well. You came in here with the biggest smile on your lips" Sam says with a laugh and Kurt immediately turns red. "But now details please. Thank you" Quinn says with a singing voice.

"Well. I surprised him and yes he was surprised but also very happy. Turns out we were both going nuts since our first kiss" Kurt starts and tells his friends about everything that happened in the afternoon "And since he wanted to drive home in Nicks car and was exhausted I drove him home. We see each other again at the game on Saturday but I don't know about after the game so if you guys want you can come and Sam if you like you can ask Stevie too".

Blaine is glad to have the phone on speaker and not to his ear when Jeff squeals "Yay. Now we have someone else to take on double dates than Hunter and Sebastian". "Sometimes I wonder how these two don't kill each other" Blaine laughs and hears his best friend answer "They have their moments".

The first thing Blaine did was order dinner and the second thing call his best friend. Now he eats dinner while talking to them. Of course they wanted to know everything so Blaine told them everything they wanted to know. Now his dinner is gone and his friends know everything. It's this moment when Blaine, in his muscles, his bones and his whole being feels how exhausted he is. He says goodbye to Nick and Jeff, gets ready for bed and as soon as his head hits the pillow he's asleep.

Chapter Text

Stevie is more than happy to go to the game with his brother and Kurt. As always they meet Jeff there who gets along well with Stevie immediately. Until now Kurt didn't tell him about his relationship with Blaine. Not because the boy is too young and might not understand but the relationship is very new and Stevie loves Blaine and might get hyperexcited about the thought of his brothers best friend and his idol being together.

But at some point Kurt will invite Blaine home, for dinner or one of their movie nights or something so Kurt thought he will wait for the half time to tell him. Because they came in Kurt's car and before going back home he at least wants to see his boyfriend and it would be rude to make Sam and Stevie wait in the car.

"Stevie I have to tell you something" Kurt says "But don't freak out". Great. Now the boy looks terrified. He should've started differently. "I meant freak out in a good way. Don't worry" he corrects himself and immediately Stevie's face softens "What's up?". "I have a boyfriend now" Kurt says, confusing the boy. Why can't he just say it? Stevie won't freak out right?

"And you decided to tell me while we're watching soccer? You couldn't just wait until we're having dinner hat home?" Stevie asks casually. In the corner of his eye he sees Sam trying to bite back a laugh. "Because it's Blaine and after the game I want to say hi to him before we drive home. You can come with me if you like so you don't have to wait in the car. You will see Blaine and you will see other players so I wanted to tell you to prepare you" Kurt tells.

"Blaine" the blonde boy repeats in disbelieve "This Blaine? The Blaine I have on my jersey? The Blaine who scored five minutes into the game?". "Yes Blaine" Kurt says and now he and Sam both have to laugh. "You're kidding me" the boy says but Jeff says "He's not. Blaine told Nick and me all about it". "You and Nick. You know Nick and Blaine?" Stevie asks.

Maybe he will freak out. "Nick is my boyfriend since we're in high school and Blaine went to high school with us" Jeff answers. He can't help but laugh a little bit too. "Close your mouth please Stevie" Sam says grinning, earning a swat on the arm from his little brother. "Since when? Why do you only tell me now?" he then asks Kurt who answers as casually as possible "Because we only officially got together a few days ago".

For a moment Stevie is quiet, trying to process the information before punching the air "This is so cool. He could teach me trick shots. Can he?". "I ask him for you" Kurt answers with a big smile on his lips.

It's a tense game. In between it's a tie, 2:2. But the more time passes the more unfocussed everyone gets. Blaine gets the ball but passes it unlucky to the other teams player. To his luck the defense slips and faster than anyone can watch the ball rolls in the net. An own goal leads to a 3:2 for Lima United. Seconds later the game ends. A lucky win.

The team still celebrates the win, still happy but it doesn't take long for the crowd to quiet down and leaves while the team goes inside. The group waits a bit until the crowd isn't that big anymore before leaving the stadium and walking to the back door so Jeff and Kurt can wait for Nick and Blaine. Behind Kurt are Sam ad Stevie, who can't hide his excitement.

It takes a few more minutes before the first players leave, Puck and Hunter, shortly followed by Sebastian. Slowly but surely everyone leaves and eventually Nick and Blaine exit the locker room. When the captain sees his boyfriend he smiles, walking in his direction. "Hi" he greets with a short kiss. Then he turns to Sam and Stevie. He greets Sam with a handshake before turning to the younger boy "Stevie. Nice to see you again".

He greets the boy with a handshake as well and Stevie's eyes widen "You still know my name?". "Of course and when Kurt told me you'd come to the game I told him that I have to say hello to you" Blaine says smiling and again Sam and Kurt can't stop their laughter. It's just too adorable. Blaine turns when his name gets called and waves his teammates goodbye.

In that moment Kurt sees the smile vanish. Only for a second. Then it's back, for Stevie, for Sam and for him. Short-handed Kurt throws his key to Sam and says "You two go back to the car already. Stevie you pick the music for the drive back home. I'll be with you in a moment". Sam nods, getting the hint and he and Stevie leave.

"You send them away so you and I can have a moment for ourselves?" Blaine asks smiling. "Yeah that too" Kurt answers "But I also want to tell you that you don't have to play pretend when you're with me". "Hey. My fake smile is very convincing" Blaine pouts. "To most people maybe. Just know that it doesn't matter how the game ends you don't have to pretend when you're with me" Kurt says and opens his arms for the other man.

Blaine takes the invite and holds Kurt tight. For a moment it's quiet. Then they part again. "Thanks. It's just- We practiced so hard and we just won because of a luck og. I hyped the team so much and I was so sure we will win this. I'm the captain. I should know better" the curly haired man sighs. "Blaine, you're the captain. Not a superhero. You're really good this season and a tie would've been fine too. A lucky win is good" Kurt answers, cupping Blaine's face and kissing him softly.

"Thank you Kurt. You really have a way with words" Blaine laughs but the other man just smiles softly "Anytime". "Are you a little better now? I don't want to rush but the others are waiting" Kurt then adds, scratching the back of his head. "I'm better now. Thank you for asking. You go home with your lot. I just want to go home and have a relaxing shower. Not the quick one I took here. But I text you tonight?" Blaine asks.

"Or call if you like. I eat dinner at Sam's but I think I go home after that. What are you doing tomorrow evening?" the chestnut haired man asks and his boyfriend jokes "Eating ice cream for comfort after what we'll get to hear tomorrow". "How about tomorrow we go on a date. This time I invite you and not in gym clothes" Kurt proposes.

"Blaine's face lights up "I'd love that". "Okay. I pick you up at 7 okay?" Kurt asks and the other man nods "Okay”. Then he leans in for a kiss "We don't want Sam and Stevie wait too long". "I always have time for you" Kurt answers but adds "Text me when you get home and enjoy your shower. You deserve it". "And you text me when you're back in your apartment so I know when I can call you" Blaine answers. Another kiss goodbye follows before Kurt turns around and goes back to his car.

At home the guys get everything ready to make pizza and while the pizza is in the oven Sam asks Stevie to set the table so he gets the chance to talk to Kurt. "Is Blaine okay?" the blonde asks and Kurt nods "He just really wanted them to win the game on their own and not because of an own goal. But he's okay and we're going on a date tomorrow". "That's awesome" Sam smiles "Stevie thought you wanted us to wait in the car so you two can make out".

"Maybe next time" Kurt laughs "We hugged and talked. I wanted to make sure he's okay before I leave". "That's good. Maybe you can invite him sometime. Next movie night or something like that. When he's not too busy with being Lima's best scorer of course" Sam suggests "That way we can get to know him a little better. As Blaine the person and not Blaine the player". "Someday. First he and I should do something to bond. I haven't been in a relationship since college and you know that" Kurt sighs.

"Are you scared you mess up?" his best friend asks, more serious than teasing. "A little" Kurt tries to laugh "I really like him so give it a few weeks. He's busy with soccer right now but I think during the winter break or something I could invite him". "Sounds good. You two take your time. And I think even though he's busy you two will find enough time together. Maybe not overly much but enough" Sam says before he hears Stevie from the kitchen "Pizza's ready".

"Hey you" Blaine says when he walks outside and sees Kurt leaning against his car. "Hey" Kurt answers with a smile "You look amazing". "You too" Blaine smiles and leans in for a kiss, It's a soft kiss, a long kiss, a gentle kiss. "Should we go? I'm starving" Kurt laughs and the other man laughs "Sure".

The drive is short and when the couple enters the restaurant, hands clasps together, Blaine takes a deep breath. The place smells amazing and looks really good. They follow the waiter to their table and sit down. Only after ordering drinks the two men starts talking. "Everything sounds so delicious. Wow" the curly haired man says and Kurt laughs "I know right? Will took us glee coaches glee coaches here after we won Nationals two years ago and I absolutely fell in love with this place".

Both order their food when their drinks come and when the waiter leaves the couple raises their glasses. "Here's to a wonderful evening" Kurt says and Blaine answers "Here's to a proper first date", making them both laugh.

"Stevie asked me to ask you if you maybe want to show him some trick shots one day. Getting his approval is hard but you're already approved so there's nothing standing between us anymore" Kurt laughs. "He's cool" Blaine answers with a laugh "I'm sure I can teach him sometime".

"Jeff also had the idea to go on a double date some time or even a triple date with Sebastian and Hunter. Only if you want to of course. I mean we just hot together but sometime maybe?" Blaine asks. Jeff would kill him if he wouldn't have at least asked. "Sounds good. Maybe only with Nick and Jeff for now though because I know them already. Outside of the field I don't know Hunter or Sebastian. Which shouldn't imply that I think I won't like them. I'm sure they are nice. I mean I don't even know Nick that much. But I know Jeff so I'd feel more comfortable" Kurt rambles.

He only stops when Blaine takes his hand and says "Kurt you're rambling" with a little chuckle. The other man blushes "Oh. Sorry". "Don't apologize" Blaine says "It's cute but you shouldn't apologize for telling me what makes you more comfortable". On that Kurt blushes even more. "Look there comes the food" he says relieved, feeling his cheeks cool down again.

"Are you excited when you get a little break from practice?" Kurt asks. Winter break is coming up in about two weeks. "Yes" Blaine says, then changing his mind "No. Both? I'll miss the soccer but it's also good to get a break and calm down again to get a clear head". "True. Maybe you can come to a movie night sometimes. If you want to of course" Kurt says and his boyfriend smiles "Sure".

"In general we can spend a lot more time together when I don't have practice every day. We'll manage to spend time together now too but we can do more fun stuff when school isn't keeping you too busy and I don't have appointments or so" Blaine says with a smile. "Yes. We'll manage. Talking about appointments, how was regeneration and the team meeting today?" Kurt asks and the two start to causally talk again while eating their dinner.

Blaine: Thank you again for yesterday. I had a wonderful time
Kurt: Yeah me too. Can’t wait until we see each other again
Blaine: Me neither. That’s why I was thinking I could visit you in your break tomorrow? But I can understand if you want to eat with your friends
Kurt: Nonsense. I see my friends the rest of the day. And the rest of the week. My break is at 1. No appointments tomorrow?
Blaine: Physical therapy at 4 but else not. I think I'll hit the gym tomorrow or something but I'll be at the school at 1
Kurt: I'll wait outside so you don't get lost between all the students. Besides, at least half of the school knows you
Blaine: We'll manage. I just want to see you
Blaine: I got a lot of positive reaction to my Instagram Story by the way
Kurt: That's great. Now the world knows that there's someone but they don't know who until we're ready to share more if we like

All Blaine posted was a simple picture. Their food, untouched and pretty to look at, their drinks and no faces. But the table says it's a dinner for two. A date. Blaine posted it and not long after the reactions were floating in. To not disturb their date Blaine turned the phone out and only checked his socials this morning.

"I see you guys later. Blaine picks me up for lunch" Kurt says and Quinn answers laughing "Ohh. Luxury. Have fun with lover boy". "Ha. Ha. But thanks" the chestnut haired man answers and leaves the building. Since all the students are either in the cafeteria or outside so the parking lot in front of the building is empty, allowing Blaine to get out of his car so his boyfriend can spot him easier. As soon as Kurt comes outside he sees his boyfriend leaning against his car.

"Hello, hello" Kurt greets smiling and kisses his boyfriend who greets back "Hey". His hair is still a little damp and Kurt doesn't even have to ask before Blaine answers "I went to the gym". "I thought so" Kurt laughs "Now let's go before my break is over". "Right. Get in. I know a place that is close to here and really good" the other man says and both get in the car.

"What time does your practice end tomorrow? Maybe I can pick you up again?" Kurt proposes while they both eat. "12. After that we're talking tactics and I have an appointment. Maybe Thursday? I'm off at 5" Blaine answers "But I'd love you to pick me up". "I also thought that maybe I can cook for us? You've been ordering a lot lately and I thought it could be nice. My place or yours, whatever makes you feel more comfortable" the chestnut haired man proposes.

"We can go to your place. I invite you to my place next time since you already know where I live but I want to see your home. If you like of course" the curly haired man says and his boyfriend nods "Sounds like a plan". "Since the next away game is quite far away I'll be home late but I thought I could call you when I'm home and we could compare our schedules so we know when we have time?" Blaine asks and the man opposite of him nods agreeing.

Faster that both men would like they have to pay and drive back to school. The men kiss goodbye before Kurt has to rush back inside the school to not come late for his next class. With a look at the time Blaine realizes that he still has some time before his appointment so he deicides to drive home again, even if only for a little while.

Immediately after glee Kurt says goodbye to Quinn and the kids, takes his bag and leaves. He didn't tell Quinn that Blaine will come over for dinner because she would probably come over to borrow sugar or something. Or Sam would come knocking with no excuse at all.

Even though Kurt comes a little late no one is outside yet. The only other person, arriving almost at the same time as him, is Jeff who walks in his direction. "They are about to wrap up. Blaine gave me a heads up so I thought you might want to watch them cool down". "I'd love to" Kurt answers and follows his friend past the gate to the field. They arrive just in time for the cool down to end, the coach telling his team to run one last cool down round.

When Blaine spots his boyfriend he smiles and when he passes him he and Nick high five both Kurt and Jeff. Once they finish the round Blaine jogs in his boyfriends direction "I fresh up and then say hi properly. I'm all sweaty". "I don't care" the other man laughs and kisses his boyfriend "Hi". "Hey" Blaine laughs, reaching behind his boyfriend for his water bottle to empty it. "I'll wait here and you go inside so you don't get sick" the chestnut haired man says, kissing his boyfriend again shortly before letting him go.

Inside the locker room Puck pats his captain on the shoulder "You should introduce us to your boyfriend properly. We have to give you two a nickname. Invite him to the next team party or something". "I make sure to ask him" Blaine laughs and closes his bag. The team made Hunter and Sebastian Huntbastian and Nick and Jeff Niff. They'll for sure figure out a name for Kurt and him. Blaine hurried to get ready so he quickly says goodbye to his friends and goes back outside again.

"Let's go?" he asks his boyfriend who nods, hugging Jeff goodbye before taking his boyfriends hand. "You know I think I need to give you a visitor form to fill out. That way you're allowed to come up here when you pick me up and can watch practice without anyone bringing you up" Blaine says and Kurt nods "Give me the form the next time you get the chance and I'll fill it out".

"You can pick me up from practice then" the curly haired man says and gets into the car. "And we can do something together after" Kurt answers "Or you could pick me up if you're not too busy. For lunch or after work. Or if you want to go on a run, you can run to McKinley and we drive together from there". "That's a very good idea. Maybe I do that next week or after that when I'm free anyway" Blaine smiles.

They arrive at the apartment and walk inside, holding hands and waiting for the elevator. "My building doesn't even have one" Blaine laughs "When I searched for a place I thought it would be smart. Being forced to take the stairs to stay in shape". "I'd be way too lazy to do that every time I want to leave or come back home" Kurt laughs and the elevator doors open, welcoming Kurt inside. They get in, hands still not parting, and Kurt takes his phone in his free hand when he gets a message.

Sam: I'm on a date. Stevie is at my place. He cooks and his homework is done but maybe you could check in on him later to make sure he goes to bed in time? That way I don't have to look at the time too much
Kurt: Okay. Have fun and don't do anything I wouldn't do. Just don't bring her home when Stevie is there
Sam: I won't. Thank you! You're a lifesaver

With a sigh Kurt puts his phone away again. "All okay?" the other man asks and Kurt nods "I just have to check that Stevie doesn't stay up too long but that's no big thing". "Okay" Blaine smiles. The doors of the elevator open again and Kurt leads Blaine to his apartment, closing the door behind him. "Feel free to get comfortable. You're allowed to relax now and I take care of dinner" Kurt says and kisses his boyfriend.

"I can help" the curly haired man says but Kurt shakes his head "You look tired so you relax and I cook. It's a simple pasta and won't take long". "Okay. Thank you" Blaine answers "Mind if I look around a bit? I'm curious". "I don't mind" Kurt answers. "Quick introduction" he continues "Living room, balcony, kitchen, there's the bathroom, my room is to the left and on the right is the guest room where Stevie stays when he's here. That's pretty much it but you can look around while I get dinner ready". "Awesome" Blaine smiles and starts to look around while Kurt gives his attention to the pasta sauce. The apartment is simple and classy. Not too many decorations, not overly much furniture, giving a lot of room and light. Modern and classy. It just fits to Kurt.

After a look in every room Blaine joins Kurt in the kitchen, leaning against the counter and watching his boyfriend stir in the pasta and the sauce. "If you want you can pick some music. My Spotify is connected to the tv for stereo" Kurt says, unlocks his phone and gives it to Blaine "We can eat in about five minutes". "Any wishes?" the other man asks but Kurt shakes his head "You pick".

Just as the music starts playing there's a knock at the door. How? He hasn't told anyone Blaine would be here. "Hey Blaine can you watch the noodles? I don't want them to overcook" Kurt asks and when Blaine nods and stands next to him Kurt goes to open the door.

"Stevie. Hey. Everything okay?" Kurt asks surprised when he opens the door. The boy nods "Sam is out. I tried a new recipe but first it burned and then it burned me". He shows Kurt his hand, a burn mark at the side, but then adds "I already cooled it but I thought that maybe I could eat with you? Quinn doesn't open the door". "I-" Kurt takes a look in the kitchen but then nods "Come in and have dinner with us". "Us?" Stevie asks, hearing someone working in the kitchen, pouring the water from the noodles.

"Hey Stevie" he hears a familiar voice before Blaine steps into sight. "Blaine. Hi. How cool is that? But I don't want to interrupt your evening" the blonde boy says, ready to turn around. "No. You eat with us and I take a look at your hand to make sure everything is okay" Kurt says and Blaine adds "And right in time. Dinner will be done in a minute".

Luckily Stevie's hand doesn't look too bad. Kurt just puts some cooling cream on it and wraps it in a bandage so it can't smear on anything while they eat and to keep it clean. While eating dinner everyone chats casually, the conversation turning interesting really quickly. "Did my brother tell you who his date is?" Stevie asks and Kurt shakes his head "I didn't even know he was texting with someone until he texted me earlier". "You could ask him tomorrow but I want updates. This sounds like a romcom" Blaine laughs.

Shortly after dinner Blaine excuses himself to the bathroom and Stevie uses the moment to ask Kurt "Could I maybe stay over? I don't know if Blaine wanted to stay and I don't want to ruin your evening but I don't know if Sam comes home with company or if he comes home at all". "You know you can always stay over. Go home and take everything you need for school tomorrow" Kurt smiles and the boy jumps up to do as he was told.

"Where's Stevie?" Blaine asks when he comes back and sees Kurt alone on the couch. "Getting his stuff. He's staying" the other man answers. Blaine nods "I think I should go then". "No" Kurt says and stands up "Stay too. If you want of course. I know I have to stand up early tomorrow but I could drop you off at home or you can go for a run or something. Or you just stay for a while longer. I really enjoy your company". "Okay" Blaine laughs "You convinced me. I stay a bit longer and we see where we go from there. I enjoy your company too". He watches Kurt's smile turn into a grin and leans in for a gentle kiss.

Only a few moments later Stevie comes back and brings his back to his room. When he comes out again Kurt says "Stevie pick out some snacks okay? I thought we could watch a movie". The boy nods excited and while he does the couple already sits down on the couch. Or more Kurt sits down and Blaine gets comfortable with his head in Kurt's lap, his legs somehow pulled up and tangled to fit on the couch so Stevie had enough place as well on Kurt's other side.

It's quickly decided that they want to watch Spiderman. Tom Holland Spiderman. Stevie's pick. All three are comfortable on the couch, watching and taking something to snack from time to time. Kurt realizes really fast how much he enjoys to play with Blaine's curls, spending most of the time with his hand buried in Blaine's hair.

Eventually the movie ends and with a looks at the time Kurt says "Okay Stevie, brush your teeth, time for bed". "Okay" the boy says, standing up to go to the bathroom but realizes "I think I'm not the only one who needs to go to bed" while pointing at Blaine who fell asleep sometime during the movie. "You get ready for bed and I take care of him. He had an exhausting day" Kurt says with a quiet laugh.

Kurt stays on the couch while Stevie gets ready for bed. He can't resist taking a picture of the sleeping Blaine. He looks too cute when he sleeps. "Good night Kurt and tell Blaine good night too" the blonde says "Oh and my brother says thank you for letting me say and he cooks dinner for you tomorrow". "I'll be there. Good night Stevie" the chestnut haired man smiles.

The door closes and only now Kurt carefully wakes his boyfriend "Blaine. Wake up. At least a little bit". "Hm?" the other man mumbles, making Kurt laugh again "Let's get you to bed". "Okay" the curly haired man mumbles and stands up, going to the bedroom with Kurt. "You can go back to sleep. I quickly get ready for bed" the chestnut haired man says, kissing his boyfriend good night. "Good night Kurt" Blaine mumbles half asleep and Kurt answers "Good night Blaine".

Chapter Text

The second the alarm goes off Kurt turns it off again. He gets up and starts making coffee before he wakes Stevie who tries to stay in bed as long as possible. It's early, it's still dark outside and it's cold so when Kurt takes his blanket away the boy has no choice but to stand up. "You're cruel" he mumbles on his way to the bathroom but Kurt answers grinning "Good morning to you too".

With a coffee Kurt gets back to the bedroom to wake his boyfriend. Carefully he sits down on the edge of the bed and gently shakes the other man awake "Blaine. Wake up". "No" the other man mumbles, making Kurt laugh "I took away Stevie's blanket. I won't hesitate to take yours away too but if it motivates you I've got coffee for you". "I take the coffee" Blaine mumbles and opens his eyes after rubbing them.

"Good morning" he then says and Kurt smiles back "Good morning. "Come on. I get breakfast ready so we can leave in time" he adds, handing Blaine his coffee. But before Kurt can stand up the other man gently pulls him back down to kiss him "Now that's a good morning".

"Thanks for letting me stay" Blaine says when he sits down at the table. "You were tired and already looked like you could fall asleep on your way here so I figured it would only make sense. Besides I really enjoyed having you here, that's why I proposed it yesterday" Kurt smiles and the man answers "And I enjoyed staying here". The bathroom door opens again and Stevie, now a little more awake, greets "Good morning".

"Eggs are almost ready" Kurt says and finishes his coffee "You two eat. I get ready quickly so we can leave in time". He kisses the top of Blaine's head as he passes before he gets his clothes and goes to the bathroom himself. When he comes out again, everything is set and Blaine and Stevie even waited for him. Smiling Kurt joins them at the table "Let's eat".

While they eat Kurt feels Stevie watching at him so he looks up and locks eyes with him. "What?" he asks but the boy shrugs "You look happy. I like that". "Well I am happy" Kurt answers and clears his throat "Is your bag packed?". The boy nods, "Lunch?" again he nods, "Water bottle?" another nod. The bathroom door opens again and Kurt can't take his eyes off his boyfriend. He told Blaine he can use anything he needs but actually seeing Blaine wear his black sweatpants and baby blue shirt with his own team jacket over it is so crazy. The good kind of crazy.

"So. Drop off or morning run?" Kurt asks and the man answers "Morning run to the gym actually. I meet some of the boys there in a bit and it's in a good distance". "Say hi from me. Are you leaving with us or now?" Kurt asks but the other man waves it off "I leave with you. Another coffee won't hurt". Just like that he sits down again, taking his boyfriends hand under the table and drinks his coffee while the others finish breakfast.

When it's time, everyone takes their stuff and leaves the apartment. Down at Kurt's car Stevie says goodbye to Blaine and gets into the car. "Thanks again" Blaine says "And next time we meet at my place. Maybe you could stay over too?". "I'd love to. Sometime next week maybe?" Kurt answers and leans in for a kiss "Have fun and I call you tonight". "Can't wait. Have a good day at work" the curly haired man answers. One more kiss on the cheek before Kurt gets into the car and Blaine jogs the other way.

Kurt: Congratulations! You really deserved that win
Blaine: Thanks! We're hyped. Now we'll do anything to end the year with a win
Kurt: I'm sure you will. I will be there with the lot. Are you already on your way back home?
Blaine: Almost halfway there actually. Will you be driving next week?
Kurt: No. Will said he'll drive because we're all coming and his car is bigger
Blaine: But you still have time to say hi after the game? It'll be late by then
Kurt: We love flood lit games! It's exhausting to go to the game after work without really having much of a break but I love the atmosphere. Of course I come to say hi! The others can wait in the car. I have to go now. I'm meeting a friend but text me later?
Blaine: Of course! Have fun!

Blaine: Still awake?
Blaine: We went out for a beer so it got late
Kurt: Just got back home a moment ago myself actually

"Hey" Blaine greets as soon as his boyfriend picks up the phone "Hi". "How was your day?" the curly haired man asks and Kurt answers "It was good. Got to sleep in and so on". "That's awesome and exactly what I will do tomorrow" Blaine laughs and yawns "I get really for bed now. Can't wait to go to sleep". "Exhausting day for you?" Kurt asks and Blaine can hear the smile and his proud face. Blaine made two goals in the game today. "Yes. I already fell asleep in the bus but now I just want my bed" Blaine laughs.

"You get ready for bed and I prepare my breakfast for tomorrow" Kurt says "When do you have to be at work tomorrow?". "1 pm. Lucky me" the curly haired man says and laughs again. "You text me after?" the chestnut haired man asks and his boyfriend answers "As always. Maybe we can meet? I don't know if you have any plans tomorrow". "So you're not hitting the gym after?" Kurt asks surprised. "I planned to but I thought maybe we could go together? The boys don't go so I'd be alone and I thought maybe you want to come?" Blaine suggests.

"Why not. I guess a bit of thread mill while watching you work out won't hurt. I need to pick up the pace anyway for a good choreography. Until now I always refused Quinn's invitation to join her at Pilates" Kurt laughs and his boyfriend answers "Maybe you only need the right motivation. And I don't mean watching me working out but me taking you to the gym". "Or both? How about that? Inviting me is the first step and watching you work out is the bonus" the younger man laughs.

"I hate you" Blaine mumbles but Kurt laughs "No you don't". "No I don't" the other man agrees and starts brushing his teeth. "Okay I'm getting ready for bed now too" Kurt says, putting the breakfast in the fridge. "Should I pick you up tomorrow or do you take your car?" he then asks and his boyfriend answers "Pick me up. I tell Nick that he should pick me up. Then we can also take care of the whole form filling thing for practice". "Definitely" Kurt says. "Okay. Be there around 3 and I come down to take you inside" the soccer player says and Kurt answers "Can't wait".

Kurt performs his skin care routine, while Blaine sighs satisfied "I forgot how much more comfortable a bed is compared to a bus seat". "Because it's been so long" Kurt laughs. "Feels like an eternity" the other man mumbles. That only makes Kurt laugh more. So much that he almost chokes on his toothpaste.

"I'm getting changed now and then I go to bed too" Kurt says but doesn't get an answer. "Blaine?" he asks but gets no answer. Kurt chuckles before he gets changed and lays down in bed too. "Good night Blaine" he whispers and hangs up the phone. With a smile on his lips Kurt closes his eyes. Tomorrow will be a good day. Today was a good day.

Chapter Text

Blaine wakes up when his alarm rings. He doesn't remember falling asleep. Just that he was talking with Kurt. Kurt! Quickly the curly haired man takes his phone. Mo message.

Blaine: Sorry for falling asleep on the phone yesterday
Kurt: It's okay. You had a long day. Slept well?
Blaine: Like a baby! You?
Kurt: Me too. I'm meeting Quinn now, looking over our outfit order and have breakfast before we order but I can't wait to see you later
Blaine: Me neither. Want to have dinner after?
Kurt: I never say no to having dinner with you
Blaine: Then our strike of dates in clothes that are not date-ish continues
Kurt: Well at this point it's just our thing
Blaine: I'd love to make this our thing. Greet Quinn from me
Kurt: I will

Only a second after Kurt puts his phone away there's a knock at the door. "You look like you had a short night" Kurt greets her but the woman shrugs "Sort of". She comes inside and immediately takes a mug, filling it to the brim with coffee. "Sort of" Kurt repeats with a raised eyebrow, earning a stern look from Quinn she says "A date. No questions please. I don't know in which direction this is going yet" Kurt answers with a laugh.

Filling out the form was no problem at all and Kurt catches the team at the conference room just as they're wrapping up. Blaine is the first one to leave, seeing Kurt standing outside and waiting for him.

"Hey" he says, kissing his boyfriend for a quick hello. "Hi" Kurt answers, waving Nick who passes then goodbye. "Let's go?" the curly haired man asks and his boyfriend nods, taking his boyfriends hand. "It's cool to see behind the scenes" Kurt says and giggles "Plus point for being in a relationship with a soccer player".

"Right. You only told me you started coming here when you were a child. How old were you?" Blaine asks and the other man doesn't even need to think about this "Six". He hears Blaine laugh before saying "Cute. Little Kurt watching Lima United play. Did you have a jersey? And a scarf?". When Kurt nods he laughs again "I definitely have to see pictures of that sometime". "Maybe someday. Or you could've looked around my apartment a little closer and you would've found them. They're not hidden really well. Well most of them" Kurt answers, laughing as well.

Once at the gym both men get ready and then take their water bottles inside. "You look good in gym clothes" Blaine says with a smile and kisses his boyfriend. It's a small gym and quiet so the players can come here without constantly getting asked for something or getting stared at. If it's not full the players can bring guests but else only they have access to the gym and today it's actually empty. "I'm over there. You do your work out" Kurt says with a laugh and another kiss before he goes to the thread mill.

Kurt quickly realizes that he maybe should do this more often. Not the running. Well he probably should to that more often too. But he means going to the gym. To watch Blaine. While running. With the choreography in mind and Blaine in his eye sight. Maybe that shouldn't only count for the gym. Maybe he could join Blaine when he's going out for a run, if Blaine slows down a little.

Blaine ends his work out next to Kurt on the tread mill. "Another bonus of our relationship is a gym where I don't feel like everyone is staring at me like a fool and instead I get to look at you. Maybe this will get me to get more exercise" Kurt says with a laugh, slowing down a bit more. "Next time when I go out for a run I can take you with me if you like. There's a park close to you that's perfect for that" Blaine proposes and his boyfriend nods "But you have to run at my pace because you're way faster than I".

Eventually both men cooled down enough to stop and go back to the locker room. They fresh up and get ready to go, leaving the gym half an hour later. "I'm really hungry now" Blaine laughs while they go back to the car. "How about Breadstix? Simple but good" the chestnut haired man proposes and the other man agrees instantly.

At Breadstix they get a nice table and order as fast as they can so they can finally eat. Mr. Hummel?" they suddenly hear a voice while they wait "It's you. You're Blaine Andersons boyfriend?". "Thomas, hi" Kurt greets his student and turns to Blaine "This is a student of mine". "I'm a big fan of you" Thomas says "Can I have an autograph?". "Uhm" Blaine thinks "I don't have anything here but we can take a picture together". With that the other boy is satisfied. Before the boy can leave Blaine stops him "We would appreciate it if you don't make a big deal out of it. Especially at school. You just met your teacher and his boyfriend, not Anderson the soccer player so nothing extraordinary". "Sure thing. See you in school" Thomas says, waves both goodbye and goes out to where his parents wait.

"Well I hoped that this wouldn't happen so soon. But he's a good student. I don't think that he goes blabbing. Else the school would go crazy" Kurt laughs. His boyfriend takes his hand "Maybe one day your face is known. Maybe your school will go crazy. But I support you and your friends support you and the team supports you". "Thanks" Kurt smiles.

"Maybe during the holidays. I don't see the kids for a while and they could've calmed down by then" Kurt says "Like on the Christmas market or something". "Sounds sweet. We'll see where time leads us" Blaine smiles "Now let's eat because there comes the food". "Finally. I feel like I'm starving" Kurt laughs and thanks the waiter who brings their food.
