Ollie finishes his home race p11. One place away from the points he'd dreamed of scoring since childhood. He's the kind of person who puts a lot of pressure on himself and wants to succeed, even more so when his family is looking at him in the pits.
He can't help getting out of his car in a nonchalant way, shoulders hunched in defeat, his head looking at the ground in shame.
His father is the first to welcome him once in his driver's cabin, trying to console the sad little bear. He talks to him, telling him how proud he is of him and all the rest of his family waiting for him in the paddock, cuddling him so tightly in his arms.
Tonight, Ollie will spend it with his family in a restaurant that his parents have insisted on paying for this time. It can only do him good, he tells himself as he finishes getting ready in his hotel room.
His phone on his bed vibrates. It's Esteban.
Message from Esteban🐭 - 8:27pm: "Sorry I didn't get to see you after the race, mon cœur. Too busy. I'll make it up to you tonight <3"
Ollie smiled at his screen. Despite all this, he was happy to have Esteban around, whom he could proudly call his boyfriend. His fingers tapped on the screen.
Message to Esteban🐭 - 8:27pm: "I'm eating with my family tonight :/ Sorry"
then he sends another message:
"I can't wait for you to meet them one day."
Esteban quickly replies.
Message from Esteban🐭: "Me too! Eat well <3 I'll see you afterwards, whether you want to or not"
Ollie chuckles, obviously Esteban refuses not to see him tonight. He puts his phone in his pocket and goes to eat with his family.

It's 11:46pm when Ollie finally gets back to his hotel room, tired from the day but feeling a little better after spending time with his family.
Looking at his phone, he sees a message from Esteban sent 30 minutes ago, telling him to let him know when he gets home. Ollie wastes no time and sends it to him immediately.
He had time to put on his sweatpants (which he also uses to sleep) when someone knocked on the door.
"Comfort service present!" Esteban's voice came through the door, making Ollie chuckles.
"You can help i-" Ollie interrupts himseld when he sees Esteban with a stuffed bear and candy.
"You already ate so I thought some candy would be ok" His teeth almost glow making Ollie's pain disappear immediately.
Once Esteban come in and put the objects on the table, he lifts Ollie and gently tosses him onto the bed, lying down beside him.
"How many hugs for tonight, sir?" Esteban asks.
"Plenty. All night long" Ollie replies, his face already buried against the older man's chest. His words are a little muffled, but Esteban understands. Then, with a smile, he places a kiss on his head.
"Very well then."
They stay like that for a while.
"Just because you haven't scored a point at home doesn't mean you're a bad driver. It may take time, but I'm sure it'll come sooner than you think." He strokes his back slowly, up and down. "You've already accomplished a lot *sight* I wish you can see yourself the way I see you."
Ollie feels his heart melt at his words. He keeps thinking how lucky he is to have her in his life. He loves him so much.
"Baby, I-" He buried his head further into his chest. "I love you so much."
Esteban smiles against hiw hair.
"I love you so much too, chéri."
Ollie relaxes in his arms, enjoying this moment of happiness.
"Okay..." Esteban stands up and grabs the candy. "Time to eat in front of one of those romantic movies you like so much" He returns next to Ollie, who has now sat down.
"Yummy! Crocodiles, my favorite!" Ollie enthuses.
"Of course" Esteban kisses his forehead and opens the packet.
The two of them eat most of the package, even though they know they'll get yelled at by their physio, but it's worth it. Ollie has to feel good.
