Chapter Text
Karasuno High
PS: This is Hanaguchi. I had made the notes on both Karasuno and Shiratorizawa, but it seems that Shiratorizawa was redundant. Read this properly and remember your roles. Be focused and execute it properly. Also, Kaminari, I met Oikawa. Cheers, and good luck!
PPS: I didn't write anything on the staff because I am a volleyball coach, not a fucking psychiatrist. No flirting with the female staff, Hisashi.
Daichi Sawamura(Captain/Wing Spiker/Opposite Hitter)
The captain, he's an interesting fellow. Unlike our Captain, he is quite active. It isn't really.... great in anyway, I honestly have no clue why he's the captain. But he is pretty mentally sound. He'd be a good sub in our team, and that should count for something. Nagumo, you like weaklings, keep an eye on Daichi.
Kōshi Sugawara(Vice-Captain/Pinch Server/Setter)
The third years of Karasuno are truly disappointing at first glance. Its of no shocker that they were this weak in the previous years. But Sugawara is truly deceptively talented. He isn't a genius like Hisashi, but he's quite observant and analytical. Seems like he spends his time in bench, observing the opponent. If he does come in the court, Kiyotaka, keep an eye.
Asahi Azumane(Wing Spiker/Outside Hitter/Ace)
The Ace is the least disappointing of the lot. Probably the most powerful spiker of their team and their cannon, Asahi isnt really that well talented other than that. He does his job, adequately, but not well enough to be a threat for Manabu to pay attention. His recieves are mediocre, so focus some serves at him if it comes to that occasion. Chisaki, he's all yours.
Yū Nishinoya(Libero)
A force of nature. Nishinoya is relentless. He stopped Ushijima's spikes, back to back within a few seconds. His reflexes was one of the best in the entire tournament. He is more on the emotional side and does need guidance to work to his full potential. If you disturb him well enough, one of the three pillars of Karasuno will fall down, and the descend will begin. Koenji, focus entirely on him.
Ryūnosuke Tanaka(Wing Spiker/Outside Hitter)
Bloody hell. He is just so average but his mental resilience more than makes up for his weakness. He's pretty powerful, I'll give him that, and at the same time, he has been able to stay mentally sound till the whole game. But he's a simple minded fellow. He's annoying and will be quite a pain in the ass for our Libero but he's manageable. Kotomo, break him.
Chikara Ennoshita(Wing Spiker/Outside Hitter)
I wont even waste my ink talking about him.
Hisashi Kinoshita(Wing Spiker / Pinch Server)
No. No need to worry about him at all. If you worry about him, I'll be sending the resignation form at your doorstep.
Kazuhito Narita(Middle Blocker)
He was a decent middle blocker when he was playing but.... he wasnt playing, much. So no, he won't be a headache. Moving on.
Tobio Kageyama(Setter)
I was quite excited about him, and Kageyama Tobio did not disappoint. Less on the emotional side, very unlike senpai Toru(Yes, Oikawa and Tobio were in the same junio high), he is quite the resourceful man. He also has the most stamina(If Tanaka was actually being useful, I'd say that about him). Setting wise, he is more than adequate. He would be a threat with any spiker. But with the very next player I'll write about, he's a fucking menace. Watch out for his setter dumps, Sudo, I know you love them.
Shōyō Hinata(Middle Blocker / Decoy)
Jesus Christ. If any of you brats underestimate him, I'll have to show you (again) how Hoshiumi almost dogwalked us. Hinata is an absolute monster. His and Kageyama's bloody fast attack was messing with my mind so much. Even Tendo was having a problem dealing with this shrimp. Hinata is like a spring, he jumps high enough to get above the net. His power might be brought to question, but his reflex is good enough to make up for that. Manabu, only focus on him, the rest of the team handle the others.
Kei Tsukishima(Middle Blocker)
The brain of Karasuno. When he is on the court, its like Karasuno becomes far more confident because they know that there is some who can be depended on. More of a captain than Daichi in my short observation of them. Actually managed to shut down a single block of Ushijima. Could have been a starting middle blocker in our team. He is pretty relentless. Actually that's most players in Karasuno. They make up for their flawed talents by ridiculous stamina and passion. At the end of the day its the team who wants it the most. I am rambling again, apologies. Tsukishima Kei will be a threat for our newcomers and 2nd years, but I doubt he'll be of any worry for our Ace. Kaminari, target him in your serves. His receives are pretty bad.
Tadashi Yamaguchi(Middle Blocker / Pinch Server)
Yamaguchi seems to be a master at the Float Serve which can be a pain in the ass considering how we struggled against Atsumu. But he does fluff his serve sometimes and their coach doesn't depend on him, much. But still, keep the eye on the ball when he serves, don't let him stay for more than one point.
