Chapter Text
7pm.
The room was filled with silence and the occasional heaving breath from Bubba.
Almost a week ago, Mary said she'd come down to Texas and visit in the next few days. She'd probably gone on some murder spree and had forgotten completely, which was a real shame! Especially for bubba, he got all excited and made a big batch of chili because he knew Mary liked it so much!
The Sawyers just ultimately decided that they'd eat what they could of the food and feed the leftovers to the farm animals (although, Drayton did beat Bubba with the broom for forcing them to waste food). Just as Chop Top finished wheeling Grandpa to the table, there was a sudden knock at the window and Bubba squealed in happiness as he recognized the figure.
It was Mary! Clad in her usual skimpy outfit and big claw carrying a big burlap sack. Mary with a bag was always a good sign. Almost immediately, Bubba bolted out of the dining room to let Mary in before pulling her into a big bear hug and grunting out something only he could understand. "Bubs! Hi Baby!" Mary eagerly dropped the sack (which made a moist *thunk* as it hit the floor) and returned the hug. "I'm so sorry I'm late! This big group of stoners stayed at my house and made it smell gross! I had to kill them and spend extra time cleaning that horrid smell out of my carpets." Mary pressed a sweet kiss to the leathery skin of Bubba's mask, causing him to hum contently.
Nubbins padded over and grabbed the forgotten burlap sack, whistling as he saw how it was filled to the brim with blood bags and body parts. "Holy lord, Mar! You tryna keep us fed for the next year!" Nubbins set the bag in the kitchen while Drayton muttered something about Bubba's weight. "Now" Mary said as Bubba set her down on the ground. "Mary smells chili!" Bubba eagerly waddled off to the kitchen as Mary sat in her usual chair, bringing her a big, almost overflowing bowl of chili (knowing she'd still ask for seconds). "Hey, we need some dinner too, Bubbsie!" Chop Top's constant wicked smile widened as he reached up to scratch at his metal plate. Avoiding a beating, Bubba quickly brought everyone else a bowl of chili, but by that time Mary had already licked her bowl pristinely clean and was ready for seconds.
Dishes were easy, especially since Mary was there to lick the pots clean. Drayton was on a much better mood after he realized that they wouldn't have to waste food now. "I know it took me a long time to get here, so I'm gonna stay a while!" Mary said with a cheer, and Bubba eagerly squealed back. Of course, Chop Top and Nubbins were just as excited. They absolutely loved their sister in law! She was just as rowdy as they were! Drayton, personally, wasn't as excited, but as least there was someone to keep them busy.
Bubba and Mary quickly got ready for bed, both snuggling into bed (a stack of hay) together. Mary laid right on top of Bubba, her lithe body sinking into his blubber as if he was a living, breathing pillow. "Nighty night, Bubba." Mary murmured quietly, already half into her sleep. Bubba made some unintelligible noise as he wrapped his arms around her waist, nuzzling onto her soft, green hair, the smell lulling him to sleep.
A loud rooster call startled Mary, causing her to shoot up. No matter how many times she came to Bubba's, she'd never get used to that. As soon as Mary got up, Bubba stirred awake. The two barely got a moment to breathe or register anything before Drayton burst in, telling them breakfast was ready. As he closed the door behind him, Mary let out a loud groan of annoyance. She did by want to get up! She wanted to spend all day cuddling with Bubba! But, reluctantly, she got up.
Mary and Bubba trecked down the stairs with Chop Top and a Nubbins not far behind (almost knocking them over with their horse play). Drayton set out the players with the breakfast, while Mary stalked off to the living room to get grandpa. "Good morning, Grandpa!" Mary smiled as she grabbed the handles of Grandpa's wheelchair and started to wheel him to the dining room. Besides Bubba, Grandpa was probably one of Mary's favorite family members. After a bit, Mary finally arrived with Grandpa, bringing him to the head of the table before sitting down next to Bubba.
Breakfast went well, probably one of the best breakfasts in the whole Sawyer family history. Although the family always fixed their behavior for Mary. After the food, Drayton headed for the barbeque shop, Nubbins ran out to go hitchhike, and Chop Top left for the record shop. Mary and Bubba always preferred to stay at home, socializing with people that weren't family scared Bubba, and Mary loved being alone with Bubba! The two immediately got to breakfast dishes.
As the two worked, Mary spotted the sound of some car breaking down by the house, and large, manic grin came across Mary's face. "Bubba! Bubba! Look! There's meat outside!" Mary eagerly pointed at the people getting out of the car, which Bubba replied with anxious garbles. With a bit more convincing, Bubba grabbed his chainsaw from the basement as Mary sharpened her claws and got ready to hide.
3 girls stepped inside, all blonde and tanned as they muttered to each other, as one of the girls split off for the kitchen and dining room. Bubba went ahead and revved his chainsaw and dashed towards the girls, hacking one in half before stabbing his chainsaw through the second girl's abdomen.
The separated girl's eyes widened as she heard a chainsaw, but barely got a moment to process what she heard as Mary suddenly grabbed her and ripped her stomach open. Mary threw the girl onto the ground and flipped her onto her back before starting to eagerly indulge in her guts.
Bubba and Mary carried the girls and set them in the freezer as the others arrived home. Drayton, happy with bubba's work, patted him on the head as he left for the kitchen to start preparing dinner. Bubba went down to the basement with Mary and grabbed one of the girl's, placing her against the table. Grabbing a saw, Bubba started to carefully cut the skin off of the blonde's face, before clipping it to a clothes line to dry.
"You're so amazing with your hands, Bubba." Mary let out a dreamy sigh. "I wish you'd use them on me..." Bubba's eyes widened at Mary's words before pointing up at the ceiling, as if telling Mary that the family was still home. "Ugh, I know! Let's just wait till tomorrow to have some fun." With that, Mary went upstairs to the dining room, leaving Bubba stunned and embarrassed.
Eventually, Bubba went up to the dining room, sitting down by Mary as dinner started. Later, with full bellies, Bubba and Mary got ready for bed. Mary eagerly laid a top Bubba, but his mind was still stuck on what Mary had said earlier. Those things she said about his hands. Hesitantly, Bubba put his big paws on top of Mary's hips, gently rubbing the skin there. "Is someone being impatient? Can you not wait til tomorrow?" Mary purred, a smile on her face.
