Strays in Gotham

Summary:

It all started with a random meeting with management during their US tour. “A few more spots were added by the company because they wanted you to perform in different areas that you’ve never been to yet. The new areas added are New Jersey, Montana, Kansas, and Louisiana. I’ll be forwarding you all a copy of the new schedule, and you’ll be pleased to know that New Jersey is the next stop for the tour.” One of Stray Kids female managers stated. The room stayed silent as the members processed this new information.

“Wait, what about the planned sets and different things we need for the shows? Also, what city are we going to in New Jersey?” Chan asked in confusion. He was frustrated by this new change without his knowledge, and he didn’t like how this was all planned behind their backs.

“You will be performing in Gotham City.” The manager states and a few members' mouths dropped open in disbelief.

Or Strays travel to Gotham City

Notes:

I want to start by saying that I don’t have a fixed schedule for this, so I’ll be updating whenever. I always want to say that my chapters won’t be as long as this one because it’s just the start of something. I hope you enjoy reading this, and I wrote this without a beta, so don’t judge my grammatical errors and random changes between view points.

Chapter Text

“Are you serious?! That’s dangerous!” Han cried out and he almost fell out of his chair in shock.

“Gotham, you mean like the city that’s full of criminals and is attacked like every night?!” Hyunjin said in surprise. He’s read lots of articles in his free time about the different crimes that partake in Gotham.

“What’s a Gotham? Are the people Emo or something?” Seungmin asked in confusion and although Felix was shocked by the news, he couldn't help but laugh at Seungmin’s comment.

“Seungminnie really doesn’t read anything outside of Korea.” Felix commented teasingly and Seungmin rolled his eyes.

“What about security? Are you seriously willing to risk putting us in danger just for a concert?” Lee Know asked angrily. He didn’t like how they were being careless with their lives just so they could make a couple of dollars.

“Are we going to see Batman? I really want to see the Dark Knight in action.” Jeongin said excitedly. His eyes were sparkling and nobody had the heart to even try and tell him that would be nearly impossible. He’s been watching every video online of Batman.

“Our safety should be your first priority, not your pockets.” Changbin huffed out angrily as he glared at the managers sitting down and patiently waiting for them to calm down. Chan obviously didn’t want his members to be too disrespectful, even though all of their reactions (even Jeongin’s) were valid.

“Guys!” Bang Chan called out loudly and everyone stopped their own rants about the sudden change. “Let’s be respectful and let them explain. Even though we don’t agree wi-“ Chan started to say, but Jeongin’s excitement cut him off.

“I want to go.” Jeongin said happily and Chan quietly sighed before smiling at Jeongin while nodding. He then turned back for the rest of his members.

“Even though the majority of us disagree with this change, we should still be respectful and talk it out first.” Chan said softly and he motioned for everyone to sit back down. The others slowly sat back down in their seats, and even though Jeongin was the only one smiling and bouncing happily in his seat, they all turned back to the manager, who looked happy that they had control again.

“Good, now that all of that ‘extra’ nonsense is finally over-“ A manager, a boy this time, said, and Chan couldn't help but glare at the man for his disrespect. Lee Know’s hand clenched into fists, and Changbin looked so close to jumping over the table and grabbing the man, they were so tempted, but they kept their cool.

“I’ll finally explain the rest of the sudden changes. We have already booked flights and hotel rooms for your departure to New Jersey, and you will have two weeks of free time to just explore and have fun. You will all be assigned extra security since Gotham is a dangerous city, and you will all have to stick to groups of two or more when going out. Nobody should be walking alone, and everyone should always have their phones on them in case of emergencies.

If we need to hire more security, then we will, but only if it’s needed. We’re waiting for the venue to become available for the next three days, which is why you’re getting time off. You will be leaving the day after tomorrow, and if you have any other questions, please take it up with the company’s management or even some of your staff.

No, we can not change the schedule, since it’s already been posted on all social media platforms, and tickets have already been sold out. This was planned in advance, fans are expecting these events, which is why they will not be canceled. Any further questions?” The man said with a fake smile on his face.

Obviously nobody (but Jeongin) was happy about this, especially since this was all planned without their knowledge, and they had set plans with the company to get a month off after the tour to spend time with their families, but plans have changed. Nobody was more frustrated than Chan, because what he hates most is putting his members (kids) in danger and overworking them. With a heavy and thick atmosphere, everyone just kept starting at the managers without speaking. The only one smiling at that moment was Jeongin.

——

“Those inconsiderate bastards. Who do they think they are for lying to us and forcing us to do more work without any planning in advance.” Changbin exclaimed as he threw his hands up in frustration. They were now back in their hotel room, and nobody (but Jeongin) has been happy since that announcement.

“Language, but I agree with you. Something like this should have been notified to us as soon as it was planned. This couldn't be more frustrating.” Bang Chan stated as he walked into the main room with a bottle of water in hand. He sat down next to Lee Know and opened the bottle of water.

Before he could even take a sip out of it, Lee Know grabbed the bottle and took a few sips out of it before him. Once he was done drinking as much as he wanted, he passed the bottle to Jeongin as he began talking.

“They decided on one of the worst cities in New Jersey to host a concert. It’s like they don’t care about safety at all.” Lee Know said in frustration and he leaned back against the chair he was sitting on. Jeongin finished drinking out of the bottle and he passed the water over to Felix, who quickly took a few sips before passing it over to Han. The water bottle was already less than halfway full by now.

“I’m so glad I finally get to go to Gotham. I’ve heard so much about Batman and his friends. I really want to meet Robin…oooh and maybe even Red Hood. He's so cool and he had so many guns.” Jeongin said excitedly and he was practically squealing with joy. Bang Chan had to intervene, because he knew what Jeongin was going to say next.

“No you can not get a gun Innie. Now you can’t wander around at night to look for them, and no you can’t climb onto the roof of our hotel building and try to spot them from up there.” Bang Chan started in a stern parental tone. He was worried because he knew Jeongin was obsessed with those vigilantes. He didn’t want to see his mankae be put in danger over some street fighters.

Jeongin pouted and leaned into Felix’s shoulder for comfort. Felix ran his hand through Jeongin’s hair while smiling softly.

“Channie’s just trying to protect you. He doesn’t want you getting hurt while trying to find them. I’m sure if we’re up late enough, we’ll see them running across roof tops through our hotel window.” Felix said softly and Jeongin snuggled into him as his head fell onto his lap and he kicked his feet up into Lee Know’s lap, who mumbled something about not being a foot rest, but still held onto Jeongin’s feet so they didn’t fall.

Han passed the water bottle over to Seungmin, who took a few gulps and left about a quarter of the bottle left. Changbin quickly took the bottle from him before he could drink it all, and Chan looked like a kicked puppy as he watched his water bottle be drained.

Changbin thankfully stopped before all of the water was gone and he got up and handed the near empty bottle to Chan, who took it with a fawn shake of his head, and he passed the water bottle over to Hyunjin, who tried to refuse the drink.

Bang Chan’s eyes didn’t leave Hyunjin, and he waited for Hyunjin to finish off the bottle. Hyunjin reluctantly gulped down the rest of the water and Chan was quick to hold his hand out for the empty plastic bottle. Hyunjin handed the bottle over to Chan, and just when Chan got up to get another bottle of water, Seungmin just had to start talking.

“Seeing the old man stressed really makes me want to go to Gotham early.” Seungmin comments and the empty water bottle that was in Chan’s hand was playfully chucked at Seungmin’s head. Hyunjin intercepted the throw and caught it right before it could hit the tip of Seungmin’s nose and he smiled.

“Let’s not cause a hiatus before the show even starts. We do have fans waiting for us, even though it was unexpected, it’s it great to travel to new countries and see new faces. I know it’s frustrating, but let’s try to see the good in this.” Hyunjin said softly, and even though he was still frustrated and annoyed about the changes, he still wanted everyone to see the positive side of things.

“Plus, we get two weeks to ourselves. We haven’t had that since we’ve been on tour, so I’m ready to sleep and explore.” Hyunjin said and he stretched his arms out while smiling. Chan walked behind the couch and grabbed the empty water bottle from Hyunjin’s hands before heading into the kitchen. When he came back into the main room, he was holding two water bottles this time, along with a snack for himself (he knew exactly what he was doing).

As soon as he sat down next to Lee Know again, the chips were quickly snatched from his hold and the sound of the plastic ruffling as the bag was being opened echoed throughout the room. It was quiet as everyone watched Lee Know, and as soon as the smell of salty and spicy chips hit the air, all hell broke loose.

Everyone was diving towards the bag like it was the hunger games. Chan didn’t even have the heart to get a second bag as he watched his members (kids) try to wrestle the bag out of Lee Know’s tight grip. ‘Hopefully the tour’s energy stays like this after the emotions from the past couple of hours.’ Chan though, and he had to quickly dodge a pillow that missed Han. “Okay, let’s not destroy another hotel room.” Chan calls out a quickly joins the chaos.

——

Chan’s hope of this going a bit better was quickly washed down the drain. First, all their alarms didn’t go off in the hotel because someone decided to turn them off yesterday (Changbin) after losing a fight over a bag of hot Cheetos that Chan brought for everyone to ‘share’. If it wasn’t for Chan’s fifty other alarms that were set a minute apart from each other, they wouldn’t have even made it in time to their flight.

To make things more complicated even before leaving for their flight, Hyunjin forgot to pack his suitcase, so Lee Know and Chan had to quickly pack it for him while he was showering. Han didn’t want to change out of his pajamas and he kept falling asleep while everyone else was getting ready, so Chan just left him alone. Jeongin and Seungmin were thankfully okay on their own, and they were ready pretty early.

Felix, however, lost one of his AirPods last night, since he listens to music before he goes to sleep, and they had to help him turn his whole room upside down just to find it (it was in his AirPod case). Changbin was still grumpy about not getting ‘enough’ hot Cheetos, so Chan had to promise to buy him some at the airport, which made him happy. Overall, the morning was a 3/10 and Chan would not recommend it to anyone.

——

“Do we have everyone?” Chan asked himself as he finished loading up their van heading to the airport. After 2 hours of chaos and sleepy children, they finally loaded into their black SUV that they had been using since they came to LA. Chan moved to the middle part of the van and quickly started taking a head count.

‘Seungmin, Han, Jeongin, Lee Know, Hyunjin, Han…where’s Felix?!’ Chan thought and he quickly turned around only to be met with a teary eyed Felix. Chan quickly scanned Felix for injuries while panicking internally, because he didn’t know what happened to make him so safe.

“Felix, sweetheart, I need to know what’s wrong. I can’t tell just by your facial expressions. I need you to use your words.” Chan said softly and Felix sniffled a few times while wiping away his tears.

“I…want to sit in the front.” Felix said in a hushed tone and Chan barely heard him, but when he realized what Felix was implying, he let out a sigh of relief. “Sweetheart, you don’t have to cry about that. Just ask me next time and I’ll let you.” Chan said softly and he pulled Felix into a tight hug.

Felix sniffled while smirking towards Han and Hyunjin who both had looks of disbelief on their faces. Felix rubbed his two fingers together in a motion for money and Hyunjin rolled his eyes as Felix stuck his tongue out at him. Felix quickly masked his mischief as Chan pulled away, and Chan gently wiped the tears from Felix’s cheek.

“Are you okay now, Lix?” Chan asked softly as he looked at Felix with a soft expression. Felix nodded and smiled softly at Chan, and Chan led Felix over to the front seat before opening the door for him and even buckling him in. Once Felix was secure, Chan shut the door and climbed into the back with the others.

When Chan shut the door behind him, he quickly turned around to face the others, who were either talking or just scrolling through their phones. “Does everyone have their seatbelts on?” Chan asked as he looked around at each of this members (kids). The sound of clicks filled the van and Chan finally turned around once he was satisfied. “We can go now.” Chan said politely towards the driver and the van took off towards the airport.

——

The second problem arose when they finally made it to the airport. It was actually pretty fine at first. They met up with their staff and bodyguards, and they unloaded their things from the van before walking inside of the airport. Though their peaceful start turned chaotic when a fan spotted them and started taking pictures while squealing and shouting out ‘Stay Kids’.

Where there’s one, there’s many, and soon a swarm of hundreds of fans came towards the group. Bodyguards started pushing screaming fans back, and their wide circle was quickly closed as they slowly made their way towards the check in area. Chan stayed behind the members the whole time during this, and he covered Lee Know and Changbin a few times as people just barely broke past the bodyguards.

They were lined up from youngest to oldest, which is why Chan was able to shield Lee Know and Changbin. Thankfully the bodyguards realized they needed to tighten the circle, so they closed them in even closer together. This thankfully worked and they were able to make it to the check in station. They weren’t so lucky with the next problem of theirs.

“What do you mean you lost your passport?!” Felix exclaimed to a sheepish Jeongin, who was looking slightly guilty. Jeongin had just realized that his passport wasn’t on him anymore, and he must have left it at the hotel, which is why he’s the only one not standing off to the side. Chan sighed and quickly placed Jeongin’s suitcase on the floor and started looking through it to see if it was accidentally placed inside.

When he didn’t find it, he stood up and looked at Jeongin. “Where’s your personal bag?” Chan asked softly and Jeongin handed it to him. Chan rummaged through Jeongin’s personal bag and he couldn't help the huge sigh of relief that came out of him when he pulled out Jeongin’s passport, which was hidden beneath his wallet and a few pieces of caramel candy that Jeongin became obsessed with when he first came to the US.

Jeongin smiled widely and quickly hugged Chan before handing his passport to the woman who was patiently waiting. Once they were all finally through the check in, they made their way towards a random restaurant to grab some food, since no one had time for breakfast this morning.

Breakfast came out to $147.39 and that was just for the eight of them. It was fairly cheap seeing as how they usually spend over $200 for lunch alone. Anyways, Chan took the courtesy (all of his kids were just staring at him when the check came) and he paid for the food while leaving a $30 dollar tip. Since everyone was now happy and full, they decided to
wander around for some different snacks for the plane ride.

Chan brought Changbin some hot Cheetos like promised, and he even paid for Jeongin, Hyunjin, Seungmin, Felix, Lee Know, and Changbin’s crazy candy mixtures that they got from the candy store. Han didn’t really want any candy from over there, but he did get Chan to spend $40 on a mystery bag filled with different salty and sweet treats. Chan has never felt more broke in his life than when his members (kids) go crazy in the airport.

Lee Know and Seungmin did buy a few things for Chan with their own money, and Chan did not almost shed a tear, he just had something in his eye. The others actually wanted to pay for their own things, but Chan insisted on paying for everything with his own money, which is why he was happy with his little gifts.

Changbin did sneakily slide over a bag of candy that he brought for Chan while the others weren’t looking, but he wanted to be discreet and keep up his usual facade without looking too soft. Anyways, they eventually had to make their way towards their gate as their flight was being called over the radio and they loaded up into economy seats.

Everyone finally settled down into the comfort of their own personal seats, and neck pillows and AirPods were taken out and used. The flight was going to be over 20 hours, so they might as well get comfortable.

—-

The fight was amazing and the flight attendants were so friendly and kind. The members were shocked when one of them broke out into a full Korean conversation with Han, and they even used the correct formality. It was such a great experience and Chan tipped
every flight attendant that interacted with, because something amazing deserves something special. Anyways, the flight left everyone exhausted and by the
time everyone got off the plane, they were left dragging their feet all the way to the bagging area.

Chan had to grab the majority of the members' bags because of how tired everyone was, and the only person who was still bouncing with excitement was Jeongin (even though everyone else wouldn’t be bouncing with excitement). Safe to say, everyone would be having a long sleep when they get to the hotel. Chan didn’t really mind though, because at least everyone would be getting their rest.

Chan handed the correct bags to the correct member and when everyone finally had their things, they all started walking towards the exit. The didn’t have any bodyguards with them yet, so it was just them and the staff, which was kind of concerning seeing as how fans are known to swarm them as soon as they are seen.

Bang Chan was preparing himself to fight off anyone who tried to touch one of his members, but when they got to the front of the airport, nobody was there. It was like the whole place was deserted, which was weird because this is an airport after all. Though, that thankfully means they wouldn’t be swarmed by fans, which was a plus.

Maybe Chan got his hopes up too high. Yes, fans still aren’t swarming them like usual, but he knows why. When they walk out of the airport, it’s pitch black outside. The only glow that was visible was the lights from the cover in front of the main building of the airport. Cars weren’t on the street (except for the one picking them up) and the city looked so deserted. The members climbed inside of the van and took any seat that wasn’t taken by another member.

Usually one of the members would be asking for the front seat, but since everyone was so tired (save for Jeongin), they all didn’t even bother to go for it. Even Jeongin didn’t want that seat, even after Chan offered it to him, so Chan took the seat for himself.

The driver looked bored, and he didn’t say anything when they got into the car, and that was the only thing that really made sense right now. It was night time and the man was probably tired, so it makes sense that he didn’t want to talk, or maybe he’s just introverted.

A lot of factors could make someone not want to speak. When all of the doors were closed, the man pulled out of the airport and into the quiet streets of Gotham. Jeongin was staring out the window the hole time, trying to see if he could spot one of the cool vigilantes of the night.

Bang Chan was more concerned about how empty the city looked. It looked like it was just an abandoned city, and it was Friday, so you would think people would be out having fun, but they was nobody out. ‘I’m hoping this is normal for the city.’ Chan thought and he turned back to make sure his members were okay as they drove towards their hotel. Newsflash, this wasn’t common for the city of Gotham.

——

When the van parked in front of their hotel, Chan again was confused. The lights that a usual hotel would have on are off, and the hotel itself wasn’t that big. ‘They might have tried to save money, but the area is horrible.’ Chan thought and he was right. From the end of the street up to their hotel was 10 alleyways on either side, and to make matters worse, Chan swore he saw a drug deal happening before his eyes.

Everyone slowly got out of the car, but Felix and Han were harder to wake up, so Chan just decided to carry them both. Changbin offered to help with Felix and even Hyunjin and Lee Know offered to help, but Chan declined their offers. They grabbed the bags that Chan couldn't grab, and they all made their way inside of the hotel lobby.

The hotel thankfully looked much better inside and a kind old lady was more than happy to help them out and gave them only one key to one room. Chan was confused. Jeongin was ready to explore the night. Seungmin was Seungmin. Lee Know was dragging his feet like was doing the luggage. Hyunjin was kind of awake now and he was carrying a couple of bags.

Felix and Han were still dead to the world. And Changbin, he was fully awake now. They all took the elevator to the fourth floor, and once they opened the door to their room, they realized that it had four bedrooms inside instead of one, and each bedroom had two beds, thankfully. Chan brought Han and Felix to one of the rooms on the left, and since they clung to each other while in his hold, he just decided to put them in one bed.

Seungmin tiredly tried to grab his luggage from Lee Know, but he instead grabbed Lee Know and dragged him to a bedroom on the right. Lee Know didn’t complain or fight as he followed behind Seungmin. Hyunjin's face planted on the couch in the middle of the room and refused to get up, so after Changbin put the luggages he was holding to the side, he moved towards Hyunjin and lifted him in his arms.

Hyunjin didn’t complain as Changbin carried him towards their bedroom on the right, and that just left Chan and Jeongin with the bedroom on the left. The mankae in question didn’t look tired at all, and he was bouncing on his feet and looking out the window.

“Innie, why don’t you get some rest tonight, and tomorrow we can go sight seeing and look through a few shops.” Chan said softly as he made his way over to Jeongin, who didn’t turn around to talk to him. “I want to see if I can spot Red Hood.” Jeongin said excitedly and nodded and Chan gently turned Jeongin around so he was facing him.

“Baby, Red Hood will still be there tomorrow. You need to rest now, so that you can try to look for him again tomorrow night.” Chan said softly, and Jeongin thought about it for a bit before nodding. Chan smiled softly and locked hands with Jeongin before dragging him towards their bedroom on the left. Everyone cuddled with their roommate that night, even though there were 8 beds in total. If Jeongin had waited a minute or two, he would have seen someone jumping from the roof of a cafe to the roof of an apartment building, clear as day.

——

Everyone who was tired and barely on their feet yesterday, were now energized and ready to explore. Chan woke up earlier than everyone else and order them room service so that the members would wake up with breakfast on the table, and everyone had stuffed themselves to the brim with pancakes, eggs, sausage, hash browns, and weirdly enough, apple
juice. If you would ask any of the members why apple juice specifically, they would all the pulp (like the pulp in orange juice). Anyways, it seems like everyone has big plan because the dining table was filled with chatter and jokes.

“I can’t wait to check out some of the stores here. I want to stock up on more snacks.” Changbin said softly while smiling to himself. He’s starting to really like American snacks.

“I want to check out the museum close by. I heard they have some cool dinosaur skeletons.” Felix said and Han nodded in agreement.

“I just want to be anywhere but here.” Seungmin said in a dull tone and Innie couldn't help but laugh at Seungmin’s comment.

“I would also like to check out the museum, and maybe even go shopping a bit. We could probably find some small cafe to have lunch in or something.” Hyunjin said while smiling.

‘At least they aren’t as annoyed about this trip anymore.’ Chan thought and then he cleared his throat to get everyone’s attention. Everyone turned to look at him. “Right Guys. I know you all are planning on going out and what not, but if you’re going out, you need to have a buddy with you.” Chan said softly, and his voice wasn’t unkind, but it was still serious.

“I’ll go with Seungmin, Hyung. He doesn’t really care where he goes, and I want to explore.” Jeongin said happily, and Chan looked to see if Seungmin had any complaints about that, and when he heard none, he nodded.

“I guess I’ll take Lee Know and you. I know you might want to come shopping with us, and it seems like the others are set on going to the museum.” Changbin said and Chan nodded. “That’s settled then. Everyone make sure you have your phones on you when you leave, and please come back before nightfall. I don’t want you guys out at night unless it’s with is all together. If you need anything, just call any of us and we’ll figure something out.” Chan said softly and everyone nodded and changed the subject to making fun of JYP’s newest cover.

“It’s all about dragging it on for too long.” Seungmin laughed out loud and proceeded to knock the whole table out of their chairs.

——

“Hyung, let’s go here first. I want to check out some of the merch in here.” Jeongin said in excitement as he dragged Seungmin towards a clothing store in a mall that they found a few blocks away from the hotel. They had been wonder around the mall for less than five minutes before Jeongin spotted some clothes that had Batman and a few other heroes and vigilantes on them. He couldn't be more happy to raid thw store and by one of each, so he dragged Seungmin straight into the store.

They were now a few minutes in, and Seungmin was already bored. Jeongin insisted on trying everything, even though he had like 20 shirts in the same size. He made sure to get a size above his usual size so he could have some oversized clothes, and Seungmin wanted to argue and say that he should probably only do that for the hoodies, but he didn’t want to deal with an annoyed Jeongin.

They spent way longer than necessary in that store, and Jeongin ended up buying a total of 35 shirts and 2 packs of socks with hero and vigilante faces on them. If Seungmin didn’t drag him out of the store, he would have brought one of everything and they would have truly become broke. To keep Jeongin from spending any more of his money, he dragged Jeongin out of the mall while making some excuse to go to a random cafe a few blocks away. Jeongin was more than happy to follow along, since he got what he wanted, though he did say Seungmin had to pay for lunch.

——

“How did we even get lost? We only wondered a few blocks away from the hotel.” Jeongin said in confusion as he looked around the dark area. You see, they had been walking back to the hotel when Jeongin swore he saw something running across the roof tops, so he ran after them and Seungmin followed along after him. Something about chasing someone faster than a normal human was really enduring and it made you feel completely out of your element.

Jeongin turned around to see if Seungmin was going to say anything, but he was met with darkness. “Hyung? Seungmin. Where are you?” Jeongin called out worriedly. He wasn’t the type to get scare, but he was the type to not like being alone. ‘Hyung’s going to be so mad.’ Jeongin thought and he quickly pulled out his phone to call Seungmin.

——

“Jeongin, where did you run off too?” Seungmin called out as he looked around the dark area. He knew he shouldn’t have let Jeongin follow the person on the roof, but he was trying to be a laid back Hyung and not a strict one like the old man. To make matters worse, his phone was dead. He used it so much while waiting for Jeongin to pick out clothes, that he didn’t realize it died until they got into the cafe.

They had decided to chill there for a little and just talk, and then they explored a few other stores before it started getting dark. Seungmin wasn’t worried about his dead phone, but now he realizes that he should have charged it at the cafe.

“Innie, can you hear me?” Seungmin called out as he walked down the street, an unknown street, while calling out for his member. ‘This couldn't get any worse, Seungmin though, and apparently it could because a man grabbed him by the arm and dragged him into the alleyway. Seungmin tried to squirm free and fight the unknown man, but the man was stronger and quickly covered Seungmin’s mouth with his hand.

“Well, aren't you a pretty one? I’m not usually one to do all of the dirty work myself, but I could just let such a cute thing pass by me.” The man whispered in Seungmin’s ear, and Seungmin tried to kick his leg up so he could hit the man’s thigh or even his shin. The man tightened his grip on Seungmin’s arm.

“Now, Now, let’s be good for a second. I promise this won’t hurt…at least for me.” The man whispered out, and then he shoved Seungmin into the brick wall opposite of them. Seungmin’s head connected first, and a thud rang through the dark alleyway as Seungmin’s body dropped onto the floor. By now, Seungmin was just barely conscious and was losing blood quickly.

“Now, let’s see what this new baby can do.” The man said before laughing to himself, and he pulled out a needle from somewhere Seungmin couldn’t even see, heck Seungmin could barely see to begin with, and black dots were swarming his vision. The man kneeled in front of Seungmin and pricked Seungmin’s shoulder with the needle in his hand.

The man started draining the needle inside of Seungmin, and just before he could completely empty the needle, the man was kicked in the face by a foot covered in dirt. The man toppled to the floor and a figure in all black towered over the man along with a smaller figure who was wearing bright colors. Seungmin couldn't help but whine as he caught a glimpse of the man in all black.

The man in question said something to the person next to him before kneeling down in front of Seungmin. “Stay with me. You’ll be alright.” The man said and though his voice was a bit rough, he sounded concerned. Seungmin couldn't help but smile and he leaned forward and fell into the man’s arms.

“I see here, dad.” Seungmin mumbled out before his eyes fully closed. Even though he was speaking Korean, the man above him still understood what he meant and he couldn't help but hold Seungmin tighter while watching out for the needle still sticking out of Seungmin’s shoulder. “Don’t even think about it, B.”
