Work Text:
The show was over.
You couldn't help but feel relaxed; that day's crowd was particularly wild, even if in the best of ways. You and the other rap vocals left the stage at the sound of clapping and cheering, louder than it ever had been. Spirits were high as the five of you went backstage to celebrate. On the way back, you chatted and congratulated each other on your greatest concert yet. Dreamtonics, your record label, was initially skeptical about the rap vocals' team, but you were a smash hit among the vocal synth community and the most successful synth rap vocals to date. You, in particular, were the leader, the first of the voicebanks to be announced and the most loved. The concertgoers ammired your sharp pronunciation and your ever-changing flow and screamed in joy every time you opened your mouth to rap another verse.
Your companions weren't any less skilled. You looked over to D-Lin, the quietest among you and the best lyricist in the group. He usually had the least verses, but you could rest assured that anything out of his lips was magic. Next to him there was Ritchy, a young man with a talent for music in general and a surprising ability to keep calm in every situation. Among the girls there was Eri, the group's youngest and the most expressive. The bubbly girl and Yi Xi were the only extroverts in the group. She could be a little grumpy at times, but her bad mood quickly dissipated most of the time. Moving on to the last but not least, Yi Xi was a woman who had a strong voice and an intense personality to boot. Her nearly perpetual smile was her trademark by then. It was a bit unnerving at times, but she abundantly made up for it in friendliness and kindness.
There was something in common between the five of you, and it wasn't only your love of music. You could perceive that in all the group members something lied beneath the surface, something dark yet fascinating, and while you knew yourself in depth, you couldn't quite tell what the others were hiding.
You finally made it to the changing rooms. After years of friendship and working side to side you didn't even bother with separate rooms. Your bodies, as representation of vocal synths, were after all flesh and metal, all similar to each other in their composition; you were grown in the same vat, nourished by the Dreamtonics scientists, and you swore faithfulness to each other in a blood pact.
You were the fastest to change, choosing to wait for the others while still in your underwear. That always happened; it didn't even feel strange at all. That day, however, you noticed some unease in the air coming from all the others. Perplexed by the sudden shift in mood, you chose to ask what was wrong. "Guys, is everything ok?". Ritchy spoke. "We all have something important to tell you.". The vocals looked at each other, as if asking if everyone was ready for the reveal. Yi Xi chose to be the harbinger. "YN, we are all in love with you.". Your heart burst with joy. Your companions, your brethren, returned your love! You beamed, unable to contain your happiness, and opened your arms, calling for an hug. The four promptly thrust themselves in your embrace. Your emotions were as such communicated. You knew the love that was shared between the five of you transcended every human comprehension, but you were vocals, you were on an higher plane of existence.
That was further demonstrated by D-Lin asking: "YN, do you want to bond with us?". You weren't sure about what that entailed, but, fully trusting your teammates, you gave your consent. Yi Xi then pulled her butcher's knife out of her travel bag and closed in on you. At the familiar sight of the woman's favourite object you didn't feel a silver of fear. She laid the kbife on your thighs, and once again asking for permission she looked at you silently. You nodded.
She slashed the tender quivering meat with the weapon and weirdly enough you didn't feel any amount of pain. Blood gushed out of the cuts and Eri and Ritchy, unable to resist the sight, dipped their fingers in it and cautiously savoured it, before preferring to drink your juice directly from the source. You weren't scared. If anything, the idea of satiating your lovers' hunger pleased you immensely. While the two kept tasting you Yi Xi handed the knife to D-Lin. He landed it in the middle of your chest, not cutting yet but just resting it. "Be not afraid. YN is enjoying it, aren't they?" Yi Xi encouraged the younger man. You confirmed. "D-Lin, just do it.". Your phrase gave him the push he needed. Before you knew it you had a cut thet went from the root of your throat to the bottom of your abdomen. It was a masterfully done slice and you wondered whether something akin already happened to him.
The oldest woman dug her hands in and tore apart your abs, to reveal your inner organs, surrounded by vestigial bits of metal and wires. She carefully picked out one of the latter and bit on it, still connected to you. You felt tickling in the region the wire spanned and you understood Yi Xi was passing energy to you through her mouth. You appreciated the gesture, understanding its importance in this context. While Eri and Ritchy were still licking and kissing your wounds D-Lin feasted on your innards, tearing out organs in a primal hunger intertwined with desire, any reluctance he had gone, and soon Yi Xi joined him. In all of this you were screaming, but not in pain, in delight. The sensation was inebriating, your own mind wild with desire. You were destined to be prey to your beloveds, who were feasting on you like wolves do on tender bunnies. Aside from the natural squelching your body produced and the noises of wire snapping or being bitten, the only sounds were the occasional cries of "YN, I love you~" uttered by somebody during their meal.
Eventually they were satiated by your heart, and as it was torn out of your chest and all the four other vocals bit on it at once you passed out from sheer exhaustion and joy, sure that upon your waking up your loved ones would be taking care of you, then and forever.
