Wanda lived in Westview, a quiet town, with her two boys, Billy and Tommy, and her then husband, Vision, she really loved him, at first at least, but after having the kids, he started feeling distant.

She thought it was nothing, that it would pass, but things just got worse. He started getting home late, with lame excuses, he stopped paying attention to details, they stopped having sex because he was always tired, they never had romantic dates anymore. It all just felt like he was slowly drifting away and there was nothing she could do.

One day, while on a walk by the lake, she noticed Vision's car outside a lingerie shop, she thought he was finally trying to do something nice for her so she decided to enter the shop to surprise him. Just as she was about to open the door, she looked through the window and saw vision and a blonde he always swore was just some coworker from the office. That was the last straw, the next day, after crying her eyes out, she called Pietro for help and started everything to divorce Vision as soon as possible.

With Pietro's help, she was able to keep the kids, with Vision only seeing them for a small part of the summer, since he showed no interest for them. Plus Vision had to send them money until the twins turned 18.

Now, a year later, she felt truly happy, her boys barely missed their father, since he was never truly around for them, and she had peace. For her, there was nothing that lacked in her life.

Now, Tommy and Billy were in school, so Wanda used her time wisely, she did her chores, cursed Pietro for giving too many candy to her kids, since now she had to hide them, and then decided she needed a new plant for her kitchen. This is how she ended at the new flower shop in town.

She had been meaning to check it out for at least 2 months, but she had been busy with work and the boys, so now that she had the chance, she was really excited. Many people could say that gardening is the most boring activity, but for her, it was so healing, it reminded her of her parents house back in sokovia, as her mom always had their garden taken care of. It helped her feel like she was closer to them, now that they were gone.
As she entered the store, she noticed how cosy everything looked, like whoever took care of it really put their heart into it. She liked the decorations, you could see very fiercely the personality of the owner, she felt like if she knew them, they would be very good friends. She made a note to try and find out who runned the store.

The next thing she noticed, was the beautiful redhead standing infront of the red roses, right beside the register. In that moment, she felt the air leaving her body, she had never seen someone look better in just sweatpants and a tank top, you could she she hit the gym daily, her arms were big, and her jaw was sharp, but she still managed to be more feminine than most girls. She had a little dirt on her face, but that just made her more endearing.

Maybe she stared too long, because the redhead turned to look at her with a smirk on her face. "Hi, may I help you?"

"Oh sorry, I didn't mean to be rude, do you work here?" Wanda said with a blush rising up her cheeks.

"No, my sister does, i'm just taking care of the shop for her" Her voice sounded calm, she noticed it was also really pleasant to listen to.

"Well i'm just looking for something to put on my kitchen, I'm Wanda, by the way" She said extending her hand towards the redhead. "Nice to meet you Wanda, I'm Natasha".

Natasha showed Wanda everything on the shop. Wanda learned Natasha worked for the police, just like her brother, apparently, they even knew each other. That only made her hotter, she imagined her on her uniform and couldn't get the image out of her mind. She was definitely going to ask her brother about her. Maybe they were both interested in each other, since it took at least 40 minutes for Wanda to be at the register with a pretty ZZ plant, since it was an easy one to take care of.

"Here's a pretty plant for a pretty lady" Natasha's teasing smile almost provoked Wanda a heart attack.

Wanda chuckled. "Aren't you a little charmer, one could say you're flirting with me" Her tone teasing.

"Well maybe I am" She said with a confident smile. "Why don't we meet again? at a coffee or someplace we can talk and get to know each other better"

Wanda thought about it for a second, she really hadn't dated anyone since divorcing Vision, and Pietro was getting really annoying with the whole "You need to get laid" thing, but she really wasn't the kind of person who went for a one night stand. Much less could she date anyone having 2 boys at home.

Natasha, sensing her turmoil, tried to reassure her. "Im serious Wanda, I'd really like to get to know you better, if things don't work out, maybe we can just be good friends"

In reality, Natasha wasn't going to just let go the opportunity to date such a perfect woman, from the moment she sensed Wanda's gaze on her, she thought there was no way in this world she wasn't gonna get her number. Wanda seemed so elegant, the way she was dressed, the way she expressed herself, god even her laugh. But she really didn't want to mess things up, so if Wanda didn't want more, she was going to accept it.

Wanda considered this for another moment, then agreed with a smile on her face. She really hoped she wasn't going to regret this.

After that, she picked up the twins from school, and while they told her all about their tiny days, she felt kind of scared. Maybe she should've told Natasha she had kids, maybe Natasha won't want to go on a date with her if she realises she's divorced and with children.

"Mama, you should've seen tommy, he was so fast, no one could get the ball off him" Billy said while basically jumping up and down his seat.
"Yes mama, the teacher even said that when I grow up, I can compete in races" His little face lighting up at what his brother said.

"Is that so?, i'm really glad you had such a great day, I even agree with your teacher, that if you finish all you vegetables" She said with a growing smirk.

The boys growled at the same time and started ranting about how awful vegetables were and that marshmallows were much better and had more proteins.

She then tried to stop thinking altogether and call Pietro once she gets home, maybe she's getting a little paranoid about this whole date thing. The phone rings two times before Pietro picks up.

"Hey sestra, I was starting to think you forgot you had a brother" He said with a voice that was way too happy to be serious.

Wanda rolled her eyes, but smiled fondly. "Don't act like we didn't saw each other just two days ago Pietro".

"Okay, okay, why are you calling? everything okay with the little monsters?"

"They're great, we're having a movie night tomorrow, the twins said they were gonna show you what real cinema was with cars, so you better be here" She said with warmth on her tone.

Wanda is really glad her brother has always been there for her and the twins, he only got more present when she started the divorce with Vision, so she never felt like she was alone.

"But I was actually calling for something else, I kinda met someone today" Her tone a llttle nervous.

Pietro audibly squealed in the background. "OMG SESTRA, I can't believe this is happening, tell me everything, how did you met?, when are you going to introduce them to me?, because I have to know them before you can say you're gonna date them you know that right?"

"Don't be so excited, stop your wheels, we talked for like 40 minutes today, her name is Natasha and we met at a flower shop, you maybe know her, she's a cop, then she kinda asked for my number, and maybe, kinda, I gave it to her" Wanda didn't know why she felt so embarrased, like she was a teen with a crush.

"And why do you sound so stupid about it? I'm so glad you're finally putting yourself out there sestra, I do think I know her, is she Natasha Romanov?"

They talked until it was time for Wanda to start making dinner, apparently, they were very friendly coworkers, so she got some information on her. She really loved her brother so much, he was truly her best friend. Since they lost their parents, they had gotten closer than ever, they had no secrets with each other. Even before that, people thought they were weird for how alike they were, she can't imagine how they must look like know that they basically can't live without the other for more than 48 hours.

After they ate dinner, Wanda and the twins watched some cartoons together, bluey to be more specific. When she saw them start to get sleepy, she sent them to sleep, and then finished some work while drinking wine.
Later at night, when Wanda was about to go to sleep, she got a text.

~Unknown~ Hey, I hope you're taking care of the plant I gave you. Would hate to know you're a plant serial killer.

So stupid, Wanda thought.
Wanda~ I don't think such thing exists really, but yeah, your plant is alive and well.

Natasha~ You never know. Maybe next time we see each other im gonna require pictures of proof.

Wanda then felt anxious again. Natasha was serious about going out with her. She decided to tell her now about her kids, she deserved to know the truth, even if this meant Natasha would stop feeling interested for her.

Wanda~ I have to tell you something...
Wanda~ I'm a mom of two kids, they're both 5. I'm divorced.
Wanda~ I'll understand if you don't want to go on a date with me anymore because of this.

Wanda threw the phone on the bed, she felt like crying, she didn't even want to see what she responded, her only chance to date the most beautiful woman on the world was probably about to go away, but she couldn't deny her boys, after all, they were the best that ever happened to her.
Once she finally gathered the courage to unlock her phone, she almost drops her phone all over again.

Natasha~ Wanda, I would love to go on a date with you, no matter what.
Natasha~ Maybe if things go right, I'll get to meet them one day, of course, if you let me.
Natasha~ I'm pretty good with kids, don't tell my best friend this, but his kids love me more than they do him.

She felt like crying again but for a completly different reason. After that, they stayed talking until 3am, sharing stories and getting to know each other, they promised going out next friday.

Maybe she could find love again, after all.
