Chapter Text

After a whole month and a half of being on tour, Min Ho joined Kitty to go back home. He needed a break from his family and thought spending time with Kitty would be the best way to do it.

They arrived at the house. They stopped and grabbed their luggage. Once they got to the door, Kitty had a huge smile on her face. Min Ho loves seeing Kitty happy like that. She knocked on the door, and Lara Jean came running down the stairs. She opened the door.

"KITTYYYY, I MISSED YOUUU," Lara Jean yelled as she hugged Kitty. When she let go, she noticed Min Ho.

"He is kind of cute," she whispered to Kitty with a smile. Kitty kicked LJ's ankle before Dan came jogging from the kitchen.

"Kitten, you're finally home. I've missed you so much!" He said while hugging her.

"Hey, you must be Min Ho." He pulled out his hand.

"Nice to meet you, Dr. Covey, " Min Ho said as he shook his hand. He cleared his throat.

"Ah, call me Dan" he responded.

While Min Ho and Dan were talking, Peter gave Kitty a big hug.

They all went inside, and Kitty said hi to Trina and gave her a hug. After that, Kitty showed Min Ho around the house.

"This is where you'll be staying. Its Margot's room but she's not gonna be here until a few more weeks." Kitty explained.

"Are you sure it's okay for me to sleep here?" Min Ho asked, not wanting to cross boundaries.

"Yeah of course! Anyways most of her stuff is gone anyways since she's away." Kitty replied with a smile.

Min Ho unpacked his suitcase in his room while listening to music on his headphones, while Kitty was unpacking hers in her room.

"You need to do something about this crush kitty." LJ said.

"It's not a crush. We're just friends." Kitty replied. LJ than proceeded to raise her eyebrows in disbelief. They continued with their conversation before Peter walked in.

"Dinner's ready" he said with a smile. He then went ahead to go tell Min Ho. "Yo! Min Ho" he couldn't hear him due to the music. Peter started to wave his hands around before Min Ho finally saw him. He took off his headphones and finished folding his last piece of clothing. "What you listening to?" Peter asked.

"Picture You by Chappell Roan" Min Ho said as he turned off his phone and put his headphones in his bag.

"Ah" Peter said with a suspicious smile.

Peter met Q in Korea when he visited Kitty, and they exchanged numbers. During the dance, Q took a video of Min Ho and Kitty dancing with Picture You playing in the back and sent it to him. Peter assumed that he listens to that song to remember that moment. (He was right of course)

Once they got down, they sat and ate some chicken alfredo followed by some of Lara Jean's baking. They then ended the night with a movie.

Chapter Text

Min Ho, Kitty, LJ, and Peter sat in that order on the couch from left to right while watching a movie. They were watching Sixteen Candles and eating a bowl of popcorn.

"Min Ho, did you know Kitty used to have a massive crush on Jake Ryan when she was younger?" Lara Jean said just to have fun and to maybe make him...jealous?

"I DID NOT" Kitty says flabbergasted.

"Yeah, you definitely did" Peter called out. "I remember you basically calling him hot when I watched it for the first time with LJ." Peter explained.

"I am way better looking than that guy" Min Ho said while still watching the TV relaxed. Kitty snickered.

"You wish" she said, throwing some popcorn at him.

"How dare you" Min Ho responds in a thick flirty British accent. They all break out in laughter. LJ and Peter smiling remembering that night.

A few hours later, they watched Legally Blonde and then Peter and LJ went to bed. Min Ho and Kitty watched 10 Things I Hate About You. By the end of the movie, Kitty started getting tired. She leaned her head against Min Ho's shoulder and fell asleep. Min Ho noticed, but just simply put his head on Kitty's and put his arm around her. Kitty then snuggled into his chest comfortably and peacefully. They both went to sleep smiling.

At around 4 in the morning, LJ went downstairs for a midnight snack, some of her home-baked cookies of course, and saw Min Ho and Kitty laying on each other. She smiled and took a picture of them and sent it to Peter and Kitty.

Later that morning, Kitty yelled at LJ and ran after her for around 20 minutes before Min Ho had to her off of her.

"Kitty calm down" Min Ho said with a smirk and chuckles. Kitty rolled her eyes and nudged him.

Chapter Text

"Hey Kitty what are we doing today?" Min Ho asked during breakfast. They were eating Lara Jean's homemade pancakes and blueberry muffins.

"There's a festival at 2! Ends at 12! Could be fun! It closes in 2 weeks, and I really wanted to go" (def not foreshadowing) Kitty said with her cheeky smile.

"Yeah, sounds good Covey" Min Ho said with a little chuckle and looking at her lovingly with a small smile.

The whole table knew what was going on. Trina and Dan were looking at each other. And Peter and LJ were looking at each other. They weren't that oblivious.

Kitty and Min Ho were getting ready. Kitty had on a black skirt, a light pink hello kitty shirt, a black leather jacket around her waist in case it gets cold, some black, low Dr. Martens and white socks. Min Ho put on a pair of dark blue jorts, a baggy, black t-shirt, and high Dr. Martens. He also grabbed his brown leather jacket on the way out.

Peter and LJ tagged along to the festival but went their separate ways. Min Ho and Kitty first went to a few rides. They went on the Scrambler, the Zipper, and the Zero Gravity. They had a lot of fun and laughed a lot. By 5 o'clock, they ate a bit. Min Ho kind of forgot that Portland wasn't Korea. They don't really have much Korean food. Min Ho had a lobster roll, and Kitty had a hot dog because she hates mayo. Min Ho tried to make sure his food didn't get too close to her because the smell triggers her.

After they ate, they played a few carnival games to cool off and to digest. Min Ho won her a big beige teddy bear and a small pink one. Kitty thanked him with a big hug.

"Thanks Min Ho" Kitty said with a big smile. It was a big gesture for her.

They walked to the car to put the stuffed bears in so they wouldn't have to carry them around. Once they got back, it was around sunset, and they went on the Ferris Wheel to see the whole city during sunset. Once they got to the top, they looked at each other and smiled. They then looked out at the city. Kitty leaned her head on Min Ho's shoulder and admired the view (the sunset not min ho).

"I had a lot of fun today" Kitty says with a smile.

"Me too, Covey" Min Ho said while reaching for her hand. Once they were off, they went on the Freak Out. Kitty loves going on the Freak Out during the night. Min Ho loved seeing how happy she was. At the end of the night, they got some cotton candy while they tried to find LJ and Peter. They argued about whether it was cotton candy or candy floss. Kitty won, they found Peter and LJ.

Once they got home, they were tired. They got changed and brushed their teeth. Min Ho knocked on Kitty's door with the two teddies.

"Come in" Kitty yelled as she was removing her makeup. "Oh hey" she said with mascara smeared all over her face.

"You look amazing Covey" Min Ho said with a snarky smile as he set down the teddies on her bed. Kitty rolled her eyes and tried to wipe the rest of her makeup off before she put the teddies on the corner of her bed. She gave him a tired smile and hugged him.

"Could you stay here tonight?" Kitty asked before a yawn.

"I think your dad might kill me" he answered with a chuckle.

"Please" she asked kind tiredly and a bit sad but still giving puppy eyes. Min Ho gave up and rolled his eyes.

"Sure Covey" he said with a smile. They lay in bed and their noses barely touching.

"Um, you have a little mascara left" he said as he used his finger to wipe it off. He cleared his throat, backed up and laid down. Kitty was so flustered and it showed, to hide it, she laid down on him and fell asleep.

Min Ho was internally freaking out. The girl he loves is lying on him. Omg. He tried to act cool because if he freaked out too much Kitty would feel his heart beating 1000 miles an hour. Once he saw her fast asleep, he kissed her hair lightly, and laid back down.

"Goodnight Covey, I love you" he said with barely a whisper.

"OH MY GOD!" Kitty yelled out as she was looking at her phone.

"What's going on?" Min Ho asked while they were both sitting on the couch scrolling through their phones.

"Beabadoobee is performing here tomorrow!" She said very excitedly.

"Beaba, what?" He asked with clear confusion on his face.

"Doobee." Kitty said, looking at him to make sure he understood.

"Okay," Min Ho said with a little laugh. "Do you wanna go?" He asked with a smile.

"YESSSS," Kitty said excitedly. "And it only around 50 dollars for both of us! Well, unless we go in the standing section, which is like $500. Way above my budget." Kitty said with her eyebrows raised higher than a Fear from Inside Out.

"I'll pay," Min Ho said, shrugging like it's nothing.

"No, I can't let you do that." Kitty said hesitantly.

"It's all good. Besides, if I don't spend it on this, I'll just spend it on another designer jacket." Min Ho said with a smirk.

"If I see one more of those, I'm throwing myself." Kitty said jokingly while rolling her eyes.

"Well, don't do that. And then it's settled!" He said as he clicked the purchase button on his phone.

"I'll pay you back also. THANK YOU," Kitty said happily.

"No." He said, pointing a finger. Kitty rolled her eyes and sighed in defeat but was also secretly relieved because she did NOT have that money.

The next morning, Kitty got up at 7:30 in the morning, excited for the concert. She put on a brown skirt, a white tank top with an apple on it, a pair of white socks with ruffles on them, some short brown platform Doc Martens, a silver charm bracelet, silver bow earrings with stars dangling from them, and finally, and brown leather jacket. She also did her makeup. a bit of red gloss, some blush, eyeliner, mascara, and light brown eyeshadow. She then went downstairs to wait for Min Ho.

Meanwhile, Min Ho was getting ready. He started with his 25-step skincare routine and then got dressed. He put on some brown jorts, a wine-coloured t-shirt, a silver chain, a silver bracelet, a pair of brown platform, high top of Doc Martens, and finally, a brown leather jacket. When he got downstairs, he had his eyes wide open at the fact that they were matching and how amazing she looked.

"Hey, Min Ho!" Kitty said with a big smile and her very perky self.

"Oh, hey," Min Ho said kind of awkwardly. She looked so beautiful. Her hair perfectly curled, her very well coordinated outfit, and her subtle but stunning makeup. He couldn't take his eyes off her. After a minute, Dan walked in.

"Hey Kiddo, ready to go?" Dan said. Min Ho cleared his throat, and they made their way out. Kitty had a messenger bag with a water bottle, her phone, her wallet, some lip gloss, hand cream, and a flashlight. Min Ho had a fanny pack with a water bottle, sunscreen, his phone, and his wallet.

Dan dropped them off in the city. They walked to a coffee shop and hung out there for a while. Kitty ordered an iced cap, and Min Ho ordered an almond bubble tea. They also bought a croissant and a blueberry muffin. Once they finished their food, they walked around the city for a bit. The concert didn't start until 8 o'clock but they wanted to explore the city. Min Ho mostly. They went to a Dairy Queen for lunch. Min Ho had never been to a dairy queen because there weren't many in Korea. He's also rich. Plus, he thought they only had ice cream there, which he couldn't have.

"I've never been here before," Min Ho said, looking around. He looked at the menu for a second. "Oh, this is a fast food?" Min Ho said, confused.

"Are you this rich!?" Kitty asked as she raised her eyebrows.

"Yes," he said with her a smirk and a shrug. The line moved, and they ordered.

"Can I have the 6-dollar meal? A cheeseburger, fries, Pepsi, and an Oreo blizzard, please?" Kitty asked the cashier. (I'm Canadian guys, idk)

She took the receipt and grabbed a seat while Min Ho ordered. He got a chicken burger, fries, a brisk, and a caramel sundae for Kitty because he's lactose intolerant.

Once they got their food, they started eating and talking.

"Do you keep buying stuff with mayo in it to bother me?" Kitty said jokingly.

"I also keep it away from you, so you don't send me back to Korea," Min Ho said with a smirk. Kitty giggled, and then they finished our food. Min Ho got their ice cream.

"I thought you were lactose intolerant?" Kitty asked, confused as she took her blizzard from Min Ho's hand.

"I am. This is for you." He said as he passed it to her.

"What you didn't have to do that?" Kitty said with a smile on her face.

"Well, it comes with the meal, and I'd rather not shit my pants before the concert," Min Ho said with a snicker. Kitty burst out laughing.

At 7:30 they got to the venue. They were pretty close to the stage because Min Ho pulled some strings. Once she got on the stage, Kitty got so excited. She jumped and screamed and smiled. She also hit Min Ho out of excitement a lot.

"Okay, Covey, calm down." Min Ho said with a big smile on her face. He loved seeing her happy.

The first song she performed was Glue Song.

Kitty sang with her whole heart. Nothing but love and happiness in her. Min Ho was just smiling at how relatable the song was to his current situation.

(Just so you know I'm gonna do a lot of songs.)

The next song was The Way Things Go.

And there's so much left to say, I guess I'm just the bigger guy

As he looked at Kitty with all the love in the world, a big smile on his face, Min Ho wondered to himself if all these songs were gonna be love songs.

Coincidently, the next song that came on was Lovesong.

Min Ho wondered if there was a camera in his mind. If she was looking at his every move.

Next, was Apple Cider.

Min Ho though of every moment he's ever had with Kitty. Every time they hugged, when they had deep thoughts on the trip, when they held hands on the Ferris Wheel, every time Kitty fell asleep on his shoulder, and the time Kitty laid on him and fell asleep. It was going through Kitty's mind too, but she was a little to indulged in the music.

The next one was Dance with Me.

Min Ho looked at Kitty. "You wanna dance" he said with his hand out. Kitty smiled and took it. They started slow dancing with the biggest smiles on their faces.

Min Ho and Kitty moved their feet to the beat. Taking in every lyric and making sure to remember every minute of this.

While they were dancing a paparazzi snapped a picture without their acknowledgement or consent. They kept on dancing and smiling until it switched to the next song.

A few songs passed; Beaches, the perfect pair, and Real Man. Kitty singing along to every single one of them. She even did the Real Man dance the whole song.

And then, you're here that's the thing started playing. And that's when Min Ho stopped looking at Beabadoobee completely and just looked at Kitty.

Kitty glanced at Min Ho because of how relatable it was. Once she saw Min Ho starring, she got bold.

"Someone's obsessed," Kitty said with a smirk while she put her arms around Min Ho's neck.

"I don't know what you're talking about." He said with shrug. His stomach exploding with butterflies at the sight of Kitty. Then, click. Another picture. After a few seconds, Kitty gave Min Ho a hug. Malting into his arms like their bodies are puzzle pieces that fit perfectly together. Min Ho was the happiest he's ever been until he saw the paparazzies. "Oh shit"

"What?" Kitty asked confused, pulling away.

"Come with me" he said as he grabbed her hand. "Paparazzi" he said quickly as he kept looking back.

"Holy fuck, are you kidding me?" Kitty said rolling her eyes. "How obsessed are they?" She asked.

"Very" Min Ho answered with a sigh. "Okay I think we're good here." Min Ho said stopping Kitty and trying to imply for her to calm down.

The concert ended with Kitty's favourite Beabadoobee song; If You Want To.

Kitty enjoyed this last song before the drama started.

As soon as the concert ended, they left but ran into Beabadoobee. They took a picture a Kitty's happiness was back.

Once they got in the car, they opened their phones. "Oh crap" Kitty through her teeth. Around 200 notifications om her phone. And 2000 on Min Ho's.

"What's going on, Kitten?" Dan asked.

"Nothing dad, don't worry about it" Kitty said with a fake but convincing smile.

There were hundreds of posts with captions like "FAMOUS IDOL'S SIBLING, MIN HO MOON SECRET LOVER!?👀" and "IS SHE REALLY GOOD ENOUGH FOR HIM!?" Which made Kitty feel awful.

"Kitty, I'm so sorry. I'm gonna take care of this." Min Ho whispered with a sincere look.

"Don't stress it. It's fine" Kitty said as she bit her lip, shake her leg, and fidget with her keychains on her bag.

Once they got home, Kitty took the time to go through them and check her messages. Min Ho was calling around to try to get this off the internet. He finally got it off, but it cost a lot. Sadly, it didn't go away before Dae saw it. No other of their friends did. Just him.

Min Ho checked his phone after a few minutes. A text from Dae popped up.

Dae: Sent an attachment
I can't believe you.

"Oh shit.

Chapter Text

Min Ho went to his room and called Dae.

"What?" Dae answers angrily.

"I just want to clarify things, okay? Covey and I aren't together." Min Ho said.

"I don't care if you are. I just don't want you guys to lie to me and hide things from me. Do you like her?" Dae asked.

"Yes. I do like her, but we aren't together." Min Ho said.

"Thanks for telling me." Dae answered. "I hope you guys can figure things out." Dae replied.

"Me too. I have to go, but thanks, " Min Ho said.

He hung up, and that's when Kitty knocked on the door.

"Everything okay?" Kitty asked. Min Ho smiled and nodded.

"We're going to have a dance party in the backyard tonight. It's something I, LJ, and Peter do every summer." Kitty said with a smile.

"Sounds fun," He said with a smile.

A few hours later.

Kitty, LJ, Peter, and Min Ho were hanging out in the backyard. There was music and they were dancing a little.

They all danced and laughed until one song came up. Picture you.

LJ and Peter pretended to get more food to leave Min Ho and Kitty alone so they could....talk.

"You wanna dance" Min Ho said with his hand out.

"Why yes of course" Kitty said with a big smile. They slow danced for a bit until Min Ho started talking.

"I need to tell you something." He started as Kitty raised her eyebrows. "When I said I was over you, I lied" He said kind of regretting it after. Min Ho waited for her to answer.

"You don't have to say anything and I know you might not actually like me like that but I just needed to tell you because it's like a hug weight on my shoulde-" Min Ho said very quickly before Kitty kissed him.

They pulled away and both had a big smile.

"You know, this song played the night I finally realized I was fully in love with you." Kitty said happily. Min Ho had on a big smile and kissed her again.

"AHHHHHHHH" LJ and Peter screamed happily from the window. They've been watching them the whole time. Kitty and Min Ho pulled away and jokingly rolled their eyes at them.

Maybe they'll have more attention and maybe they'll go through hardships but as long as they have eachother, they'll be okay.
