The Hogwarts Years - Draco's Version

Summary:

What if...the Killing Curse at Godric's Hollow destroyed Voldemort for good? What if...Harry Potter arrives at Hogwarts free from the threat of a dark reckoning? What if...in First Year, he befriends a posh wizard named Draco Malfoy?

A Drarry story of friendship, adventure and love...told in LEGOs.

Notes:

Created for prompt #142 courtesy of anon and their edible: "LEGO-verse Drarry. That's it, that's the prompt." Thank you for believing! I was beyond thrilled at the opportunity to use my HP LEGO sets to create gay boys falling-in-love content.

Photographed in my front and back yards using an iPhone 15S and edited using Photo Editor. A big thank you to my eldest child for assisting in set ups and photography and for overall encouragement.

A quick note: I fully support transgender individuals and in no way subscribe to JKRs disgusting transphobic stance on sex and gender. Half of the sets used here I purchased in 2001, 2010 and 2011, well before JKR revealed what an unbelievable cunt she is. Three of the sets were purchased in 2020 as a quarantine activity at the height of Covid..and coincidentally and unfortunately at a time when her vitriol escalated. I haven't purchased any LEGO sets since; the two sets from 2021 were gifts from kind, unsuspecting folks supporting my love for these fictional characters.

Chapter 1: Draco Goes to Hogwarts

Summary:

In which, Draco Malfoy, upon awaiting to board the Express for his First Year at Hogwarts, catches sight of THE Harry Potter arriving at Platform 9¾ with a snowy owl and only one(!) cart for his belongings. And could it be that Harry's favorite sweet is Chocolate Frogs - just like him? At Hogwarts, Harry shakes Draco's hand before the welcome feast! The Sorting Hat puts Harry in Gryffindor, which no surprise, but whatever. Could this be the beginning of a friendship Draco's dreamed about?

Chapter 2: Draco Visits Diagon Alley

Summary:

In which Draco and his best friend(!) Harry visit Diagon Alley - a special outing for the Second Years. Ron and Hermione meet them at Borgin and Burkes, and of course, Ron is scared by the skeleton in the window! Draco makes sure he takes Harry to see the owls at the Magical Menagerie - they are Harry's favourite. Final stop: Ollivanders.

Chapter 3: Draco Survives Hagrid's Hut

Summary:

In which Draco, is NOT AT ALL frightened by a visit to Hagrid's Hut at dusk - he IS a Third Year after all. What's there to be afraid of here at the edge of the Forbidden Forest? Certainly not the spiders, the Centaurs nor Grawp, Hagrid's half-giant brother. Besides, he's got his Gryff BFF Harry by his side!

Chapter 4: Draco Conjures a Patronus(!)

Summary:

In which Draco, to Harry's delight, conjures an Patronus...ish in the Room of Requirement. Whilst not full-fledged magical guardian like Hermione's or Luna's, it's certainly more than the other Fourth Years can manage. Draco tries not to think too hard about drawing upon the feelings he has for his best friend as his source of powering the charm.

Chapter 5: Draco Asks Harry to Hogsmeade

Summary:

In which Draco asks Harry to Hogsmeade (it's NOT a date Pansy!). First stop, Honeydukes for a pile of Chocolate Frogs, Harry's favourite, of course. Draco tries not to blush when Harry gives him a special treat (and it's still not a date, Pansy!) Then it's off to The Three Broomsticks for a Butterbeer. They ARE Fifth Years, but Draco thinks they're allowed because he's with THE fit Harry Potter.

Chapter 6: Draco Feels Things Under the Stars

Summary:

In which, during Sixth Year, Draco and Harry sneak out to the Astronomy Tower, and Draco realizes that maybe, just maybe he's caught feelings for Harry. Should he ask him to be his boyfriend?

Chapter 7: Draco Rescues His Boyfriend(!) And Forgets He's a Slytherin

Summary:

In which, Draco hails the Knight Bus and, with Ron and Hermione, rescues his boyfriend Harry (yes, Pansy, he's my boyfriend!) from 4 Privet Drive. He's quite proud of his plan, but one thing's for sure - Hermione can be quite terrifying when angry. Back at Hogwarts for their final year, Draco celebrates with Harry in the Slytherin common room. But the Firewhisky might have gone to their heads...the next morning, Ron loses his mind over their swapped ties.
