Work Text:
It was early in the morning. Very early in the morning. Not a time one should be awake at. No one except Roblox. He was currently in what he referred to as an “office.” If anything, it really looked more like a cell than an office.
Roblox was sitting on his chair, his head pressed against one hand, and his other hand was writing furiously. On his desk were numerous pieces of paperwork, both finished and unfinished, multiple pens that had run dry from constant use, and a lukewarm coffee that he needed to refill.
He couldn’t even begin to describe how exhausting it was to send out constant warnings to the Robloxians. This was something he physically could never get used to, no matter how long he did it. Taking breaks was a risky thing. If Roblox sent out the warnings too late, by then, the Robloxians would have already grown bolder with their actions. Once they start getting more daring, it just becomes a whole other problem to deal with.
Roblox has become accustomed to this. It was just the exhaustion he couldn’t get used to. He worked constantly, as if he were a robot. The other admins have tried to help. Really! They have attempted to, but it has proven to be too difficult. By the time they were done writing down the warnings, they had gotten another–at least a minimum of–100 alerts that needed to be documented and written into warnings.
It didn’t bother Roblox as much as one would think. It gave him something to do. He wasn’t a social person at all. So he usually kept to his work. And if he isn’t working, he was probably sleeping. If he wasn’t sleeping, he was most definitely hanging out with Builderman.
Roblox’s writing stopped as he thought. This had been a common thing that had been occurring recently. Every time Builderman encountered his thoughts, his body froze, as if he were trying to bask in the memories, which was stupid. Roblox could visit Builderman anytime! He didn’t know why his mind was so obsessed with Builderman. Surely this was Builderman’s doing? He always liked to pull dumb stuff on him anyway, just to get him out of his office.
But no matter how much he tried to focus back on his papers, Builderman kept invading his thoughts. It was a constant turmoil in his head.
Roblox groaned, leaning back against his chair and pinching his nose bridge. He won’t be able to get any work done now because all he can think of is Builderman. He sat there for a few minutes, contemplating whether he should continue his work, though unable to think properly, or do something else with his life for once.
As much as the idea of continuing to work was extremely pleasing, he worried that he would screw up his work. And he could NOT get anything wrong with the warnings. The last time that happened, it somehow became a serious issue for something it shouldn’t have been.
Robloxians were getting more bold by the day, and that only caused more work on Roblox. The hackers were the worst ones. Usually, Roblox would be kept to his work, but when a hacker is involved, all of a sudden, he’s fighting tooth and nail, making sure the hacker gets banned. It wasn’t what Roblox was hired to do, and it definitely wasn’t what he signed up for, but that wasn’t his say as an admin. He’s expected to do a lot more than what you were hired for.
Not like Roblox was complaining. As he said before, it really didn’t bother him, but there were limits that he really needed to set.
Roblox looked down at the papers that were scattered all over his desk. He slightly flexed his fingers, feeling a sharp pain most definitely due to his excessive writing.
He sighed and stood up, feeling a wave of weariness as he lifted his arms over his head to stretch. Rolled his neck and shoulders, hearing the satisfying pops of the joints.
Builderman was right. As always. He does need to move around more instead of sitting on his ass all day working.
Roblox quickly stopped that thought, his mind betraying him once more as he huffed and walked around the desk to exit his office. He didn’t care to organize the papers as he would be back at them tomorrow or even
As he walked out of his office. The halls were silent. Unbearably silent.
It made sense since no admin would EVER be working at such an ungodly hour. Except him. Only he would be in the office at this time. Roblox had been here all night and all day the previous day. Maybe a bit longer than that, but he would rather not get into that. All he knew was that he needed sleep or his body was genuinely going to crash.
It didn’t take long for him to reach the entrance of the HQ. He pushed open the doors, sighing in relief as he took a breath of fresh air. He never realizes just how stuffy his office was until he steps outside. He looked towards the parking lot. Only his car was there, but could he really even drive like this? Roblox could just use the admin panel and teleport back to his house. I mean, he was technically going to be back later today; he already made that decision.
Roblox pulled out the admin panel, looking through the thousands of commands he had saved. He hoped he had a teleportation command to his house so he didn’t have to manually type it. He was so engrossed in the panel that he didn’t even hear the footsteps coming near him until he felt someone place a hand on his shoulder.
Now, it might’ve been wrong of Roblox for his initial reaction of getting violent. So he may have sucker punched the person in the nose.
That person was Builderman.
He was now sitting on the floor, his hand on his face. There seemed to be no blood, which was good. Though he still had his usual grin that Roblox can never seem to wipe off.
“Maybe next time, let me know that you’re behind me,” Roblox grumbled, refusing to admit his mistake. He lent a hand to Builderman, who gladly took it, hoisting him up from the ground. Roblox felt his mind buffer for a moment as he felt Builderman's rough hands on his own. He felt a sudden urge to tighten his grip, wanting to keep Builderman’s hands against his own for the rest of time. Roblox didn’t understand why he felt like that, but the feelings didn’t last long when he heard Builderman’s agitating chuckle.
“I don’t get what's gettin’ ya so paranoid these days,” Builderman said, the grin on his face never leaving as he brushed off his clothes. His voice made Roblox’s stomach feel like it had flipped. “I’m tellin’ you, overworkin’ yourself is goin’ to getcha. Every lil’ thing is a threat to ya at this point.” He told Roblox, crossing his arms and his face turning a bit more serious, with a hint of concern visible.
Roblox rolled his eyes, not in the mood to hear Builderman’s lecture. It wasn’t the first and wouldn’t be the last time he would have to hear his concerns. The builder was always concerned about his well-being. Well, he was worried about all his coworkers' health, but it was never as worrisome as Roblox’s health.
He wasn’t wrong. Roblox felt like he was about to pass out and wouldn’t be surprised if he looked like it, too.
“Look, Builderman, I just need to get some sleep. I’ll be back here later today anyway.” Roblox told Builderman, rubbing the side of his face as he opened the admin panel. Great, now he had to find the teleportation command again.
Maybe his overworking is becoming a problem if he was complaining about using one of the easiest admin commands…
“Well, I’d say you best go on'n get a full day's rest,” Builderman said quickly, almost for Roblox to miss. Keyword: Almost.
Roblox looked away from the panel after having just found the teleporting command. He saw that Builderman’s grin had returned to his face. This made Roblox wonder what he was planning. His mind went through the many possibilities, narrowing them down to only one thing. Roblox’s face immediately dropped, glaring at Builderman.
“No,” He said, absolutely dreading the idea. He was exhausted, and Roblox didn’t think resting for the rest of the day would do him any good. He wouldn’t be shocked if Builderman came all this way to just tell him that. Nobody should be at HQ right now, so that was a high possibility.
“C’mon, we haven’t done it in a while!” Builderman said, wrapping his arm around Roblox’s shoulder. His heart stuttered, but he ignored it. All that coffee was probably getting to him now.
“It’s only been a few months, Builderman,” Roblox said, glaring at the man who was allergic to giving him his personal space. Not that he was ever going to complain about it. Builderman stepped in front of Roblox, placing his hands on both of his shoulders, shaking him slightly.
“A few months too long!” Builderman protested. He was absolutely not going to give up on this opportunity of having both of them build again. It was always so fun, even though whenever both of them were working on the build, it would never get done on time.
“Builderman, I don’t have time for that-” Roblox spoke before being abruptly cut off.
“Ya never have time to do anythin’ that isn’t yer work,” Builderman said, removing his hands from Roblox’s shoulder, and Roblox turned his head to the side.
Roblox didn’t know why, but he internally mourned having Builderman’s hands on him again.
“I mean, look at ‘cha! You can barely stand right, and ya look like yer 2 seconds from passing out.” Builderman argued, gesturing his hand at Roblox’s body.
Roblox knew he probably didn’t look the best at the moment. He just sighed, not even knowing what to do at this point. He could just reject Builderman’s demand. There was quite literally nothing forcing him to help with this build, but it wouldn’t kill him to get out of his office for once. He looked back at Builderman before grumbling slightly.
“I’ll see you tomorrow,” That was all Roblox said before he pressed something on the admin panel, and he was gone out of thin air.
Builderman let out a small victory noise, happy that his plan worked, before entering the HQ.
--------------------------------‧₊˚ ⋅ ⚒모 ⋅˚₊ ‧--------------------------------
A flash of white filled Roblox’s vision before everything properly materialized around him. Once he gained his focus again, he saw that he was in the middle of his living room.
He almost instantly crashed down on the couch, his body finally relaxing in relief. He threw his back, slightly hanging off the couch, as he just stayed in his own thoughts.
Builderman’s touch had practically been engraved into his body, and it was hard to think about anything else that wasn’t that. Or just Builderman in general.
His face slightly contorted, trying to ignore the heat rising to his cheeks. Did Builderman do something when he had touched him? Roblox groaned as he lifted his head back up. He leaned forward, and his elbows were on his knees, his face in his hands.
He didn’t understand why Builderman was affecting him so much. It kept getting worse and worse every day. He literally just got off work today, all because Builderman wouldn’t leave his mind.
He hated these thoughts.
He hated them so much. It was only ever causing him problems. Every little thing reminded him of Builderman. It was just becoming an issue. An issue he so desperately wanted to get rid of, wanted to fix, but wanted to keep so close to his heart. Roblox didn’t even know what he wanted anymore. Builderman was his best friend, his partner in work, his…
It felt like his heart wanted to finish that sentence, but his brain quickly shut it down.
Roblox lifted his head and just stared blankly ahead.
Just thinking at this point was exhausting. His eyes were barely open at this point. Roblox groaned, rubbing his hands over his eyes. He was also very hungry. He hadn’t eaten in a good while.
Roblox was not at his house much these days, so he never really bought much groceries. He never thought it would be an issue because he could just eat in the HQ’s cafeteria, but even then, he didn’t do that. He decided that he would eat tomorrow morning after he actually got a good rest, since he felt like he would pass out before making it to the kitchen.
Roblox stood up, head throbbing as he walked behind the couch towards his room. He entered his room, feeling a rush of cool air hit him. He shut the door behind him, quickly walking to his wardrobe to see if he had any pajamas in there or anything somewhat comfortable compared to what he was wearing right now.
After searching, he simply went with a t-shirt and shorts. He quickly took off his current clothes, replacing them with clothes he had just chosen. Once he changed, Roblox walked over to his bed and fell onto it, feeling the tension in his body slowly seep away. His bones immediately felt heavy as he grabbed the blanket that was at the end of the bed and wrapped himself around it.
Somewhere in the back of his mind, he wondered what it would be like to be wrapped around Builderman’s arms.
Roblox groaned, annoyed that that was his first thought when finally getting into bed. He just brushed it off as a thought due to his sleep deprivation. Nothing more. Nothing less.
His eyelids got heavier and heavier by the passing seconds, curling into himself more as sleep finally took him into a deep slumber.
--------------------------------‧₊˚ ⋅ ⚒모 ⋅˚₊ ‧--------------------------------
There was loud knocking at Roblox’s front door. He had quickly jolted awake when he had heard it. His mind went through all the possibilities of who it could be, and it landed on one person. Only one person has his address anyway, and it was sadly Builderman.
Roblox grumbled, getting out of bed. He walked to his bedroom door, opening it and stepping out of the room. He made it down the hallway and to the living room. He stared at the door for a good while, wondering if he should answer Builderman and actually go help him build, or pretend that he never heard the knocking and go back to bed.
He thought about his decisions before walking to the front door, opening it to see Builderman, his arm raised to knock again.
Once Buildeman had seen Roblox, that frustrating grin appeared on his face again.
“Well, someone had a good night's rest! I’ve been knockin’ for almost ten minutes now,” Builderman said, looking him up and down before walking into his house without even being let in.
Roblox rolled his eyes before shutting the front door behind him. He watched as the builder sat on his couch lazily, pulling out a few blueprints he had made. He looked over Builderman’s shoulder, his still sleepy mind trying to comprehend what he was looking at.
If there was one thing in the world you couldn’t trust, it was Builderman’s blueprint. On them, all there were designs. No numbers. No measurements. No nothing. Not to mention it looked really sloppy. Builderman sometimes would forget that he was the main builder of the HQ and that NO one could understand his blueprints when it was just the design. Most of the measurements were just mentally mapped out in Builderman’s mind, which became a problem when someone else had to build.
“Builder, I can’t understand shit. It’s just chicken scratch.” Roblox murmured, squinting as he tried to grasp the idea Builderman was going for, which he couldn’t.
Builderman huffed and rolled his eyes, having another set of blueprints ready, and handed them over to Roblox. This time, the idea was neatly drawn out with the proper numbers and measurements down.
“There's no possible way you're seeing the same thing between the two,” Roblox said, looking between Builderman’s version of the blueprints and his version.
“It’s literally the same thing! Ya just don’t have a creative mind like me!” Builderman cried, throwing his head back to look at Roblox. “Well, are ya gonna get dressed? We have to start building now if we want to get it done by the end of the day!” He exclaimed, knowing full well that this was not getting done today.
“Before we go, we’re getting breakfast,” Roblox told Builderman, staying firm on his statement before walking out of the living room. He was hungry and was absolutely not about to be in the scorching heat, building all day without eating.
After a few minutes, Roblox had changed out of his sleepwear and was now wearing a short-sleeved jacket with a blue shirt underneath, featuring a red and white ‘R’ on the front, and jeans. It was a usual outfit he would wear when hanging out with Builderman.
He stepped out into the living room, seeing that Builderman was still sitting on his couch, now holding a book in his hands. He didn’t seem to notice Roblox’s presence, and god, did Roblox wish this moment would freeze.
He took notice of every detail that was Builderman. He was sitting back on the couch with his legs crossed, the book on his lap as he turned the page. He saw the way Builderman’s face was slightly scrunched, the way he always did when he was focusing on something. His reading glasses were barely hanging on, but Builderman seemed to pay no mind to it. His eyes… Roblox could never stop looking at them. The amber color was a sight for sore eyes, as if he were looking into the sun itself. And when Builderman looked up from his book to look at him, he thought his knees were going to give out. The way he raised an eyebrow and gave his usually lopsided smile made Roblox’s heart clench. Just before his mind could continue checking out Builderman, he spoke up.
“Roblox?” Builderman called out to him, his smile never faltering. It was quick to break Roblox out of his trance, blinking a few times before facing Builderman.
“Let's just go,” Roblox said quickly, feeling butterflies in his stomach. Seriously, what was wrong with him? That's his coworker! He cannot be having these thoughts right now. But Roblox couldn’t stop the way he felt his face heat up when Builderman walked up right next to him, too close to him, signaling him to get going.
“Where do ya want to eat?” Builderman asked as he watched Roblox close his front door. He watched as Roblox walked beside, looking through the admin panel to open a portal somewhere.
“Just at a bakery. I’m probably going to get a bagel and coffee.” Roblox said, pressing a command, and a portal opened before them. He walked through it, Builderman following close behind.
The bakery was a small business, but Roblox loved the place. Usually, the more popular ones were too noisy and crowded, and the food was just never worth it, unlike this place.
----------
“Never seen this place,” Builderman hummed, looking at the building, seeming to care more about the structure of the building and what kind of material it was. He noticed Roblox going inside the bakery and quickly followed suit.
The bakery had a calming aroma, and as Builderman felt his body relax, he felt a sense of peace. He watched as Roblox went up to the counter, saying something to the cashier, to which he wasn’t listening. He observed, no, admired Roblox. Everything about him was just perfect. Builderman wished he had a way to put it into words, really, he did, but every time he saw him, his mind would go blank.
He quickly gained his composure when he saw Roblox turn to him, raising an eyebrow.
“Do you want anything?” Roblox asked, waiting for Builderman’s answer.
Builderman’s mouth opened and closed, trying to find the words to answer Roblox. After a few seconds, he finally responded:
“Just a cappuccino,” Builderman quickly responded, walking up to stand next to Roblox.
The lady behind the desk didn’t seem phased when the top two admins were at her bakery, probably due to Roblox coming here often.
Roblox pulled out some cash, paying for his and Builderman’s items, and gave the cashier a hefty tip. He went to the other side of the counter, where the orders came out, and waited. He pulled out the blueprints, causing Builderman to do the same.
“So is this building like an office?” Roblox asked Builderman, wondering what they were building and why.
“Yup. The population of Robloxians is increasin’, and we're gonna need a lotta jobs. Today, we’re just gonna build what I’m hopin’ to be a financial firm. One that specifically works directly with the HQ.” Builderman explained to Roblox, who hummed and nodded, scanning over his blueprint.
“And how long will this take?” Roblox asked, looking at Builderman.
“If we focus, I reckon 7-8 hours,” Builderman told Roblox, holding back a smile as he knew full well they were not getting this done anytime soon.
“Yeah, sure. We’re totally getting this done today.” Roblox said, rolling his eyes, and he turned around when his name was called, grabbing Builderman’s coffee for him and handing it to him before grabbing his bagel and coffee. “Do you want to stay here or finish on the way to the construction site?” He asked, already taking a sip of the scalding coffee.
“Let's stay here. Ya in a rush?” Builderman questioned, his face going slightly red as he turned around, looking for a seat for him and Roblox. Roblox shook his head and just waited for Builderman. After looking for a few seconds, he walked over to a two-person table near a window, gesturing for Roblox to follow.
Builderman took a seat, with Roblox following suit. It was silent while they drank their coffees and Roblox ate his bagel.
He watched as Roblox looked through the blueprints on his own, reading some of the notes Builderman left on them so it could be easier for him to understand.
He didn’t understand why Roblox or any of the admins, for that matter, couldn’t understand his blueprints. It wasn’t that bad. Builderman was able to tell what he was going for, but nobody else could. Matt told him that a child could do this better than he could. Hell, even Telamon started stressing trying to figure out what he was looking at.
‘They were all dumb.’ Builderman concluded. Well, except for Roblox. He could never think such things of him. Roblox was everything to Builderman.
Whether he realized it or not. He couldn’t tell if Roblox just didn’t reciprocate his feelings or was just genuinely oblivious to it. There had been many times when he had hinted at going on dates or his love for him. Hell, even the other admins had started to take notice of it, but Roblox was never easy to read. Even when he isn’t working, it's almost impossible to get this guy to even crack a smile.
I guess that's what made Builderman love him even more than he would like to admit.
And this might be the closest thing Builderman might ever get to a date with Roblox. He’ll just have to live with that fact, even though it hurts.
He looked up to the man seated in front of him, who was now looking out the window while taking a bite out of his bagel. His shoulders relaxed, and he looked content at the moment.
This made Builderman sigh. A small, sad smile appeared on his face.
As long as he could be by Roblox’s side for the rest of eternity, then he could live with that.
--------------------------------‧₊˚ ⋅ ⚒모 ⋅˚₊ ‧--------------------------------
Roblox and Builderman were in the air, looking down at the plot that they were going to build on. Roblox turned to Builderman, tilting his head slightly to the side.
“Would it make sense to build the firm, you know, closer to the HQ?” Roblox asked, confused about why they would build it in a more rural area.
“This area of Robloxia has been well known for its money launderin’. We need an office to keep close watch of it since it doesn’t have an official office yet.” Builderman explained, which only got a nod of approval from Roblox.
“Okay, well, let's quickly start,” Roblox said, his hands facing the ground before opening his arms as the chunk of plot beneath them was highlighted in a greyish blue. A command popped up, with the question ‘Remove highlighted area?’ to which Roblox responded with a yes. A good chunk of the ground was removed, allowing him and Builderman space to start with the foundation.
Roblox started to lower to the ground, Builderman by his side as he looked through the admin panel to spawn in a compactor.
“Let me compact the soil first, and then we’ll start layin’ out the foundation,” Builderman told Roblox. He took off his jacket, leaving only his red shirt, as he jumped into the compactor and started powering up the engine.
Roblox watched Builderman for a few seconds, feeling heat rising to his cheeks. He didn’t want to stop staring, but god did Builderman look fine. The defined muscles were a clear result of all those years of building. Roblox wondered if he could see Builderman without his shirt. Not like he hasn’t, but in a different context…
He shook his head, face burning hot now. He felt terrible for having such thoughts about his coworker. He didn’t understand why these thoughts had been worsening recently. Maybe he should’ve listened to his gut and not come here with Builderman today.
Roblox turned his attention to the blueprint, looking to see how the foundation was supposed to be set up and what materials were needed. They would need wooden planks, reinforcement steel, and a concrete pump truck. He checked the numbers Builderman gave him and input them into the panel, and watched them as they appeared in front of him. Now, he just had to wait for Builderman to finish compacting the soil.
--------------------------------‧₊˚ ⋅ ⚒모 ⋅˚₊ ‧--------------------------------
Things were going pretty smoothly. There we’re now pouring the concrete through the reinforcement steel. They were pretty lucky that they didn’t have to worry about waiting days for the concrete to dry, and could just get everything done today.
Roblox and Builderman had been chatting the whole time. Builderman was cracking up jokes here and there, which did not get a single laugh from Roblox, but he did smile once, which was a ‘win-win’, in Builderman’s words. That only made Roblox huff and roll his eyes, amused.
Roblox’s attention was now on pouring the concrete with the pump, not paying attention to what the other man was saying or doing at all. That right there was a mistake.
Because the next thing he knew, he felt a rush of cold, thick liquid hit his back.
Roblox immediately turned off the pump and turned around to see Builderman with a smug look, and the other pump faced him.
“Sorry, darlin’, forgot ya were there,” Builderman said, winking at him.
Roblox felt his body go hot. His mind desperately wanted to believe it was because of the heat of the sun instead of the man in front of him. God, he so desperately wants to hear Builderman call him that again.
That’s enough. That’s not his main worry now. His main concern is the concrete that was all over his back; his clothes for sure ruined.
Roblox’s face scrunched up in annoyance. He honestly didn’t know what he expected from Builderman. If he wanted to play like that, then so be it.
--------------------------------‧₊˚ ⋅ ⚒모 ⋅˚₊ ‧--------------------------------
“This is all your fault,” Roblox said, shivering slightly as the wet concrete was still on him.
“I reckon I don’t know what ya talkin’ ‘bout,” Builderman said, not at all bothered by the concrete all over his body.
“I told you this wasn't going to get done today,” Roblox grumbled, glaring at Builderman when he wrapped his arm around his shoulder.
“Aw, c’mon now, light’n up a bit. Having a bit of fun ain't gonna kill ya, Roblox.” Builderman said, absolutely not regretting what had just happened. Roblox shook his head, annoyed, but he had the smallest grin, which Builderman caught quickly. “See? Even ya had some yerself!” He called out, which only got a chuckle from Roblox.
“I’m never helping you out again,” Roblox shook his head, the grin on his face never leaving. Even he knew he was lying to himself.
“If ya say so,” Builderman laughed, throwing his head back.
Roblox watched him with smitten eyes, feeling his heart race just slightly. He wanted Builderman to keep his arms around him, never letting go. He wanted to hear his voice. He wanted to keep looking into his eyes forever and ever, until something forced him to stop. He wanted to stay by his side for the rest of eternity. Roblox doesn’t think he’ll ever get tired of his presence. He can’t get tired of it. He desperately wants to bask in. He-
“Roblox? Ya there, buddy?” Builderman interrupted his train of thought.
Roblox blinked, trying to regain his composure.
“Yeah. Yeah, I just got a little distracted.” Roblox told Builderman, turning his face away as he felt heat rushing to his face.
This was all too overwhelming for Roblox. All these thoughts, and Builderman always sent his mind into a spiral. He wanted it to just stop. His mind would finally be put at peace without Builderman invading it. He desperately wanted to know why he even had these thoughts in the first place.
Could it possibly be jealousy? No. There was nothing to be jealous of. Builderman and he were on the same level of strength and power. Maybe it was because Builderman was more popular? But Roblox absolutely hated the idea of fame. He liked not always being recognized in public. It gave him a sense of peace.
Could it possibly be due to their different personalities? Not that either. Roblox always felt a magnetic pull when it came to Builderman. He was always so joyful and generally someone pleasing to be around. Unlike Roblox, who just hated being around people. Unless it was Builderman, of course. He never minded. It was like the Sun and Moon. The sun gave its light to the moon from afar. But what if the moon still wanted to get closer? Feel the warmth that the sun radiates. What if the moon wanted to shine alongside the sun? Not to steal its light, but to share its light. The moon aches for the sun in its ever-waking moment. As the moon would not have ever been known without its sun. Without the sun, the moon would be nothing more than a rock in space. Without the sun-

--------------------------------‧₊˚ ⋅ ⚒모 ⋅˚₊ ‧--------------------------------
It has been weeks since that day. He and Builderman had already finished building the day after, which was good. He didn’t have to worry about building anything else for a good while, but now Roblox was stuck with this realization.
He couldn’t be in love with his coworker! That was unprofessional. It wasn’t against any rules the HQ has set, but still! Everything was so wrong about it.
The worst part is, Roblox doesn’t know how to love. Whether it be platonic, familial, or crushes, he never had any of those, and now he jumped to having a crush? He didn’t even know if he ever considered Builderman a friend. Okay, well. Maybe not that far. Builderman was everything to him. Probably a friend is an understatement, as now he can see more openly.
Roblox pressed his hand flat against his chest, feeling his heart pound.
No. He couldn’t be in love with Builderman. He just couldn’t. He didn’t even know if Builderman even loved him back. Just even thinking about that made his heart clench. But that wasn’t what he was concerned about.
He was worried that if there was ever a relationship between him and Builderman, he wouldn’t be able to fulfill Builderman’s needs. Hell, he’s already neglectful of his own health and needs, what makes him think he can give someone what he cannot even give himself?
He would not be a good lover. He isn’t even a good friend if Builderman considered him one.
That made him want to cry.
Now he has to live with the fact that the one time he wanted something, it just had to be so far out of reach, and it was his fault.
Roblox sighed and reached to pull the covers off. He swung his legs over the edge of the bed. His elbows were on his thighs, and his face was buried in his palms.
He could try to call off today, but he knew that would raise suspicion. Everyone in the office knew good and well he would rather die than ever call off, but he knew he wouldn’t be able to get any work done. Not like this, at least.
He knew he wouldn’t get in trouble if he didn’t do any work. Actually, it was heavily encouraged by the other admins to take a break, whether he was on the clock or not.
Perhaps he could speak with someone there? He felt like he was going to explode if he didn’t get it off his chest. But who?
“Fucking hell,” Roblox said, rubbing one hand against his face as he reached over to the nightstand to grab his phone. He opened it up and pressed messages. He basically never messaged anyone but Builderman, and even that was still rare. Didn’t mean he didn’t have any of the other admins' contacts.
He thought about it for a second. Was he really going to call someone over some boy problems?
……
‘You know who would love to hear about this?’
Roblox groaned at the thought. She was going to embarrass the hell out of him.
But, technically speaking, she would help. After making fun of him, of course.
He let out a huff, but dialed a number. He waited as he listened to the tantalizing rings. After it rang a few times, she answered the phone.
“Well, this is a surprising way to wake up. A call from you, Roblox? I’m honored~” She said in a sing-song tone. Roblox was already regretting this.
“Look, Brighteyes. Can we talk? About…stuff?” Roblox bit his lip, refusing to put a name to his troubles. Of course, that just wouldn’t work with Brighteyes.
“And what kind of stuff are we talking about?” Brighteyes pressed. It was obvious she wasn’t going to let this go that easily, and Roblox knew it was impossible to back out now.
“Just… I’ll tell you when you get to the office. We can talk there.” Roblox tried to dodge Brighteyes’s question, really wanting to leave it for when he was face-to-face with her. But Brighteyes was not one to back down.
“At least give me the base of what we’re talking about. I gotta know. To get an idea of what is to come.” Brighteyes said, and Roblox swore he could hear the grin through the screen.
Roblox had never been the one to call anyone to discuss problems. If he ever did, it would’ve most likely been Builderman.
But the fact that he was calling Brighteyes, she had a very good guess of where this was going.
Roblox hesitated, his mouth opening and closing as he tried to find the words.
“You said you just woke up? Is Shedletsky still in bed with you? I really don’t want him in this conversation.” Roblox mumbled. Shedlestly and Builderman were very close. So if he heard Roblox even uttering a word about this situation, you best believe Builderman is also hearing about this.
“Nope. Telamon is fronting today. So he’s over at The Heights right now.” Brighteyes said.
Roblox sucked in a breath, rethinking his life choices right now. Did he really want to tell her? He could really just back out now, but that would get Brighteyes onto his tail.
He let out a shaky breath, his face slightly red in embarrassment.
“It's about… Builderman.”
“I KNEW IT!” Brighteyes screamed into the phone, which caused him to flinch. “Be at the HQ in 15 minutes!” She told Roblox before abruptly hanging up.
Roblox stared at his phone for a solid minute, now actually processing what had just happened. After a while, it did go through his head, and his face felt extremely hot.
He shouldn’t have called her. He was so screwed.
--------------------------------‧₊˚ ⋅ ⚒모 ⋅˚₊ ‧--------------------------------
Roblox had opened the doors to the HQ, dreading every step to his office. This was going to be so embarrassing. Brighteyes seemed way too happy when he said that. Had she been expecting this? Was it that obvious to her? Even before he realized himself?
Not that many admins were here at the moment; most of them arrived later in the morning.
This was a terrible idea.
He knew how Brighteyes could be.
He remembered when Doombringer needed help confessing to Clockwork. It was such a mess. Everyone, and he meant everyone, including him, was in a meeting room. And instead of discussing important things, they were trying to give tips to Doom on how to confess. Hell, even Builderman was indulging in this. Roblox had stayed quiet the whole time, watching this unfold as his coworker looked like he wanted to die right on the spot.
He just hoped that it was only Brighteyes in that office. She knew very well that he wasn’t a person who liked being around many people. Yet again, he was wishing for something so far out of reach.
After a few minutes of walking, Roblox made it to his office. He was over the doorknob, rethinking his life choices. Did he really want to have this conversation? It was inevitable, as he had to be in his office for work anyway.
He worked up the courage to open his office door and felt his heart drop.
It wasn’t bad. At least, it was definitely not as bad as Doombringer, but it was the group that was terrible.
Alongside Brighteyes were Reece and Tarabyte. He was so fucked.
Out of anyone else Brighteyes could’ve gotten, it had to be those two.
“Absolutely not,” Roblox immediately tried to shut this down, but he knew he was way too late.
“Oh no, we’re talking now,” Brighteyes said with a smug look on her face.
“Soooooo, Builderman?” Tarabyte said in a teasing tone. She was sitting on his office chair, picking at her nails, but she had a big grin on her face.
“Come on! Spill!” Reece exclaimed, hopping off his desk where she had just been sitting, and placing herself right in front of Roblox. He felt his face heat up. “What about him do you like? His face? His eyes? His voice? His hands? There has to be something you see in him that got you all flustered!” She said in a giddy tone.
Roblox turned to glare at Brighteyes, not happy with the predicament she had gotten him in.
“Hey, you asked for help, I brought help,” Brighteyes said with a smile, not looking up at Roblox.
“When I asked for help, I only asked for your help! These two loudmouths can’t keep their mouths shut.” Roblox cried; he felt completely abashed in the situation he was in right now.
“I think you need more than Brighteyes’s help with your little predicament,” Reece told him, crossing her arms.
“Oh, please. You are basically checking the man out the second he even enters the same room as you.” Tarabyte said, shaking her head and clicking her tongue. She only really came here to see if Brighteyes was being serious about Roblox being embarrassed. When would one ever get a chance like that?
“I would never look at Builderman like that. He’s just another coworker of mine,” Roblox said, but even he didn’t sound like he believed it himself.
“For what other reason would you call Brighteyes? Let alone at seven in the morning? If I’m not mistaken, over the years of working at this HQ, I have never seen you call anyone else that wasn’t that builder.” Tarabyte called him out on such behaviors that he has never even noticed himself. Well, until a few weeks ago.
He tried to find a comeback, something to protect his pride. He felt like a child being reprimanded for getting caught stealing something. When Roblox came up with nothing to say back, Tarabyte scoffed and let out a laugh.
“You truly are pathetic, Roblox,” Tarabye told him, earning an elbow to the side from Brighteyes.
“We’re supposed to be helping him, Tara. Making fun of him comes later.” Brighteyes said, snickering alongside Reece, too.
Roblox groaned. He will never ask anyone for help again.
--------------------------------‧₊˚ ⋅ ⚒모 ⋅˚₊ ‧--------------------------------
“Okay! Let’s get to the root of the problem!” Reece exclaimed, looking at Roblox to continue. She only got a shrug from the man.
“I like him? Well, I mean, at least I think I do,” Roblox said, confused. This was all too new for him.
“So what do you like about him?” Brighteyes questioned, her cheek resting on her palm, still sitting on top of his desk.
Roblox couldn’t answer that. There was too much he liked about Builderman. He could rant for hours about every single thing Builderman does and everything about him that he loves.
“I think the more appropriate question is, “What don’t I like about him?”” Roblox corrected her question, his face going hot at how embarrassed he felt about his own statement.
“I can not fathom what you would see in that foolish builder.” Tarabyte interrupted. “There are so many better men you should’ve chosen from, but you chose some hopeless builder who doesn’t even worship you. You are better than that, Roblox.” She sneered, earning a glare from Roblox, and he mouthed something Brighteyes and Reece couldn’t catch. But they didn’t think too much into it when they saw Tarabyte playfully roll her eyes in response.
Though they were confused about what she meant by 'worship.' Tarabyte had been around for far longer than half of the other admins, so they assumed it was just her older mentality and her concern for Roblox.
“Alright! We’re not here to ridicule Roblox for his choice in people, even though it is quite questionable.” Reece interjected.
“Very questionable,” Brighteyes said, shaking her head. This only got her side eyes from the other three in the room. “What? I managed to pull a god, I think I deserve more credit for that!” She huffed, crossing her arms defensively.
Tarabyte hummed, raising an eyebrow as she glanced at Roblox, who just scoffed and rolled his eyes before she turned back to speak to Brighteyes.
“How do you even handle him? Telamon is immature, and don’t even get me started on Shedletsky.” Tarabyte said, never understanding what Brighteyes had ever seen in the other god.
Reece sighed as she was the only person who wasn’t getting sidetracked. She did a full body turn to Roblox with a shit eating grin on her face.
“So…How do you plan on confessing?” Reece asked Roblox, finally bringing back the attention to him.
Roblox went stiff at that question. He became extremely flustered. His thoughts had never gone that far. Could he really just confess to Builderman like that? What if he got rejected? He could never handle that shame since he and Builderman work a lot together. He didn’t want to ruin their friendship. It scared him so bad.
“I never thought of that…” Roblox whispered, shame building in his chest. He turned his head away, his mouth opening and closing, trying to build up the courage to say his next sentence. “Can you three…” Roblox groaned, not understanding why this had to be so difficult. It was a simple question, but he felt like he was dying inside. “...help me ask him out?” He whispered very quietly, jumping slightly when he heard squealing from the three women.
“Of course, we would be delighted to help!” Brighteyes said teasingly, walking up to Roblox and wrapping an arm around his shoulder. “And we already know the best place for you to do it at!” Brighteyes' smile widened when she turned to look at Reece and Tarabyte.
Roblox squinted, not knowing many places where he could confess. He would absolutely not do it in a restaurant. It's not like he couldn’t afford it, but he hated places like those. He preferred to stick to the bakery he always went to. Definitely not a park, it was just not like him.
He thought hard about it. Brighteyes said her and the other two already had an idea of where he should confess, so it had to be a place they would be at too. But where?
…
Oh no.
No, no, no, no, no.
He hated it.
He wouldn’t do it.
He could go his whole life without confessing if it meant he didn’t have to go.
Let's get one thing straight, Roblox was NOT a social person.
He hated outings and especially parties. He just couldn’t do it. It was always too loud for him, and so much was going on for his liking.
And what is going to happen on a Friday night? This Friday night?
A party in the HQ.
He never went to them.
Everyone knew this fact. It was literally impossible to convince him to come. Even Builderman couldn’t convince him, and he would not come to just confess to him.
“No,” Roblox said, shaking his head. “I’m not going. That's not up for discussion.” He told them.
“Come on, Roblox. That’s literally your best chance to confess! You quite literally hate going anywhere else, so why not do it in the HQ?” Reece whined, not liking that Roblox was trying to get out of this.
“Maybe when we’re at work! Not at a party!” Roblox said, getting defensive. He did not want to do it where a lot of people would be watching. Maybe he could ask Builderman in his office?
“I beg of you to please tell me you’re joking.” Tarabyte put a hand against her chest, absolutely flabbergasted at his feeble attempt at confessing. “You wouldn’t actually dare to confess in such an environment, would you? Because I can assure you, I will not let that happen.” She said, jutting her finger into his chest.
“And besides, Roblox, it would show Builderman that you’re actually putting an effort into this confession. He knows you don’t like parties, so coming out of your comfort zone to tell him you like him would probably mean a lot to him. And trust me, I know what it's like to have to step out of the bubble to confess. I was scared shitless trying to confess to Telamon.” Brighteyes said, squeezing his shoulder to comfort him.
He sighed, not really too sure about it anymore. It wasn’t like Brighteyes was wrong. He should definitely put more effort into the confession, but at a party? That was just too much.
“And hey, if it's the rejection you're scared about, you know Builderman would never be rude about it. He wouldn’t want to hurt you even more. But trust us, we wouldn’t be so pushy about you confessing if we didn’t think there was a chance.” Reece said, giving him a soft smile.
“And besides, you should see how Builderman eyes you,” Tarabyte said, which just made Roblox even more flustered than he already was.
“And if I mess up?” Roblox asked, feeling sick at the scenario.
“If you keep thinking too negatively, it will happen. Lighten up!” Reece quickly said, dismissing his concern.
Roblox felt his body relax, but even then, it still felt like something was weighing on him. He felt sick to his core. The idea of rejection made him want to isolate himself more than he already does. And due to his isolation, he has no idea how these functions work. He doesn’t know how to dance, what to do there, or what to wear. Actually, what was he supposed to wear?
“So, do I like…dress up?” Roblox asked as he genuinely didn’t know what he was supposed to do.
The girls sighed, looking at each other. They were going to have to help him a lot.
“First rule, you don’t dress up. You’re gonna stand out, and we can’t have you freaking out before you even confess. The clothes you’re wearing are fine. Everyone is wearing their usual clothing.” Brighteyes told Roblox, removing her arm from his shoulder to stand in front of him.
“First rule?” Ruoblox tilted his head in confusion. Were there more rules?
“Oh, honey, we’ve got a lot to teach you.” Tarabyte shook her head, studying Roblox up and down.
“This is going to be so much fun!” Reece jumped up and down like a child who had just been handed candy.
This was, in fact, not going to be fun for Roblox.
--------------------------------‧₊˚ ⋅ ⚒모 ⋅˚₊ ‧--------------------------------
Why is it that when you don’t want a certain day to come, it just has to come so quickly?
Roblox has been dreading this day the whole week.
Now here he was, on a Friday night, standing in front of the HQ.
Taking the advice of Brighteyes, Reece, and Tarabyte, he wore his usual clothing. And thank god he did, because when he saw some admins entering the HQ, they weren’t wearing anything fancy.
He’s been standing out here for 30 minutes, debating whether he should actually go in or not. His heart was racing so badly, it felt like it was trying to jump out of his chest. This was not what Roblox does. He doesn’t go to parties and be social. He liked his tiny bubble, even though it was constantly popped by Builderman.
Builderman…
He was in there…
No other admin except Brighteyes, Reece, and Tarabyte knew he was going to be there.
Which meant it was going to take longer for him to confess to Builderman when everyone else was trying to talk to him. On top of that, Roblox wouldn’t be surprised if Builderman was constantly surrounded by a group during these events. He had a better vibe and was more enjoyable to hang out with, unlike Roblox.
He took a deep breath and finally entered the HQ, and he could hear the faint music from the top floor. Roblox had already made a whole plan on how to leave the party without anyone noticing. He could sneak out without Builderman noticing, but no way in hell could he go unnoticed by Tarabyte. She will hunt him down and bring him back to the party.
Every step to the elevator made him sick to his core. He shouldn’t be here. He wouldn’t fit in. But it was his only chance of finally being social and asking Builderman out.
When he pressed the button, he had hoped that the elevator still needed time to get down to the first floor, which would’ve given him time to back out. But no. He guessed everything was just against him today as the doors to the elevator opened immediately. His stomach churned as he entered the elevator, pressing the button to the first floor.
The whole ride up was a blur. He didn’t even notice how quickly he had made it to the top floor until the doors were opened and his ears were bombarded with loud music.
Roblox sighed, realizing there was no going back now, and he stepped out of the elevator.
To his luck, nobody had noticed him yet, too busy with their own chatter and the loud music.
Roblox gave a relieved sigh, turning to walk towards a table with the alcohol. He was going to need a lot of it, but to his surprise, he had knocked into someone. It was the last person he wanted to see.
Shedletsky.
Not even Telamon, but Shedletsky.
He was so fucking screwed.
He knew this because Shed was giving Roblox the biggest grin, a knowing one at that, too.
“Shut it,” Roblox hissed, feeling his face go red.
“You know, out of all the reasons I would expect you to come to these functions, I would have never guessed it was to confess to Builderman, out of all people!” Shedletsky laughed out loud, to which Roblox covered his mouth quickly.
“Will you just shut up? How many people already know this?” Roblox questioned, praying to himself that it was only Shedletsky and no one else.
“Everyone knows why you’re here, Roblox.” Someone said behind him. He has a significantly deeper voice, and his hands felt a lot bigger. Great.
“Seriously! How many people know?” Roblox whispered loudly, turning around to face Doombringer. This was already going horribly for Roblox.
“Other than the girls and the big guy here? Probably just Clockwork,” Shedletsky said, shrugging as he took a bite out of a fried chicken wing he seemed to have gotten out of thin air.
Roblox rolled his eyes, shoving past the two men who were cackling to each other. He really needed a beer now. He wasn’t much of a drinker, but under stress? Roblox could finish boxes of beer in one sitting. It’s not like he can get drunk anyway.
None of the beers or wines at the tables was cheap. Some of them weren’t even accessible to Robloxians. Of course, they would be throwing money out the window for these functions.
Roblox grabbed a random beer brand he had never heard of before, popping the bottle open to drink it. It was strong, but not as strong as Roblox would’ve liked it. He wanted to feel the burn in his throat. To feel a little more human and not have to be all that there. Not wanting to remember that he was here for the sole purpose of proposing to Builderman, which he hasn’t seen the whole 10 minutes he has been at this party. If Roblox had a choice in this, he would think it was 10 minutes too long and his cue to get the fuck out.
He took another sip of his drink, leaning against a back wall. The music wasn’t much to his liking. It was a mix of hip hop, country, and rock.
Ignoring the horrendous music, his eyes scanned around the room, looking for Builderman. He couldn’t see Builderman, and there were many groups formed, meaning he was amongst one of them. This annoyed Roblox deeply as that meant he would have to pull him out of a group to just speak to him. Roblox decided he would wait until he could actually see where Builderman was from his spot against the wall.
Oh, and did he have to wait.
It’s not like he hadn’t found Builderman a while ago; it's just that no matter what, the group around him never got smaller. Instead, it kept getting larger and larger, which only caused Roblox’s anxiety to shoot through the roof.
‘It was now or never.’ Roblox concluded.
His first step felt extremely heavy, as if a boulder had just been thrown onto his back. It didn’t get easier from there. He awkwardly weaved through many crowds, accidentally bumping into Luke on the way there, who gave him a sympathetic nod. That just gave way to Roblox’s suspicion.
Everyone knew why he was here.
Everyone except Builderman.
‘This was just great.’ Roblox thought to himself as he now tried to push himself through the bunch of people surrounding Builderman.
It took a few minutes, the music being so loud that nobody could hear his voice as he tried to pass through. It only served to make him less confident in himself.
Roblox felt his heart race when he caught a glimpse of Builderman, who was currently speaking to Desukkar. There was a lump in his throat that he couldn’t swallow.
Roblox could turn back right now. Builderman had never seen him yet, so this was his chance. To go back to his house and curl up in his bed, or maybe go fulfill his duties that he had been neglecting for a hot while now. He shouldn’t be here. He doesn’t belong here. He doesn’t deserve to have Builderman.
Tarabyte even said it herself, he could and can do better. He knows this himself. So why? Why did it have to be Builderman who made him feel like he was on top of the world?
‘It was now or never.’ Those words kept repeating in Roblox’s mind, almost taunting him.
Roblox let out a shaky breath, walking up to Builderman and Desukkar.
Builderman immediately took notice of Roblox, shocked but extremely happy that the other man was here.
“Roblox! I didn’t think ya’d be here!” Builderman happily chirped, wrapping his arm around his shoulder and giving it a tight squeeze before letting go.
Roblox felt his mouth go dry.
‘It was now or never.’
“Desukkar,” Roblox squeaked out, immediately feeling the humiliation deep down in his abdomen. “Can I speak to Builderman alone?” He asked, suddenly feeling out of breath.
Desukkar tilted his head at Roblox’s behavior, but seemed to understand what this was about.
“I do wish you the best of luck, my friend. May happiness guide you till journey’s end.” Desukkar whispered to Roblox, giving him a nod before floating away from him and Builderman, leaving the two alone to talk now.
When Roblox turned to look at Builderman, he had a confused look on his face. It would make sense, though. First, Roblox was at a party, and second, he wanted to talk to him alone.
“Somethin’ on yer mind, Roblox?” Builderman asked, concerned for his friend. He was ready to drop everything if it meant he could help Roblox in any way, shape, or form.
“I…just wanted to ask you something…” Roblox said, his voice quiet. This was the only time he hoped that the music was loud enough to block out his voice. He sounded pathetic. Like a high school girl with her crush. Though it wasn’t too far from that at this point. But of course, Builderman heard him.
“Of course, ya can ask me anythin’, y’know?” Builderman reassured Roblox. He seemed to be getting more worried, which was the last thing Roblox had wanted.
But could he really ask him anything? Even if it wasn’t professional? Even if it could ruin their friendship? Would Builderman really be okay with this question?
‘It was now or never.’
“I…” Roblox started, his face going extremely red as he looked away. He rubbed the back of his neck, trying to seek comfort. When he looked back at Builderman, he saw nothing but patience in his expression.
Builderman tilted his head, waiting for Roblox to continue. There was no rush, obviously, but there was an invisible limit, and Roblox knew it.
But what if Builderman said no? Imagine how embarrassing that would be. Roblox knew he wouldn’t be able to deal with it. He just didn’t have that much confidence in himself to handle a rejection.
It was all too much for Roblox. He was too overwhelmed. The party, the music, and now the confession. A confession, he doesn’t even know if it would work out on his end.
‘It was now or never.’
That was all Roblox needed.
“I like you,” Roblox whispered, not looking up to see Builderman’s expression. His face was hot, and it felt like his head was trying to blow up. “Gods Builderman, I’ve liked you for so long, and it took me a while to realize what I was feeling for you. You were always living rent-free in my mind, disrupting my work every time, forcing me to leave the office. You don’t understand what personal space is, and I hate it so much, but I could never complain because it was always you. Just everything about it makes me feel so light and fluttery.” Roblox rambled, not paying attention, as his eyes were glued to the ground.
“I like you, Builderman. I want to be by your side for the rest of eternity. Through sickness and through health, I want to be there with you.” Roblox said, finally catching his breath. His breathing was heavy, consumed by fear of what Builderman’s reaction would be.
Roblox flinched slightly when he felt rough hands on his cheeks, lifting his head to look at the man in front of him.
Builderman had a gentle smile on his face, his thumb rubbing his cheek.
“I love ya too, Roblox,” Builderman said. “Darlin’, ya don’t even know how long I’ve been waitin’ fer this day. Waitin’ fer the day to make ya mine. Waitin’-” He paused, looking over Roblox’s face, taking in all the details. “Everything about ya is just so…perfect.” He whispered the last part, pressing his forehead against the other man.
Roblox froze at those words, not knowing how to process them. His heart clenched tightly in happiness, finally feeling the weight of the boulder removed. He looked over Builderman’s face, trying to catch any lies, only to be met with loving eyes staring right back into his.
“I can’t even reckon what I’d do without you by my side,” Builderman told Roblox, glancing down at his lips.
Roblox watched as Builderman leaned in a bit, allowing him to pull away at any given moment if he felt it was too much.
But…
Roblox didn’t want to pull away.
No.
He needed this. More than he’ll ever admit.
After a few seconds of staring at each other, Builderman pressed his lips against Roblox’s lips. And Roblox, like the love-sick fool he was, leaned in, kissing Builderman back.
It felt like heaven to Roblox. Like he had been a feather picked up off the ground by the wind. He wanted more of this. Of the soft touches and the loving kisses from the man in front of him.
Roblox’s face went a bit redder when he heard the other admins cheering behind them, but in the end, he paid no mind to them. His mind was consumed by Builderman. He couldn’t think of anything else anymore. Not as long as Builderman kept kissing him like this.
His head was going dizzy. He needed to breathe, but even one second away from Builderman felt like he was being punished by the heavens themselves. It was inevitable, though, as Builderman pulled away first.
His disappointment was short-lived as Builderman placed a kiss on his forehead, having to move his hat back to do so. Roblox swore that if it weren’t for the fact that Builderman was holding his face, his knees would’ve buckled right there and then.
Once the foggy haze subsided in Roblox’s head, a rush of embarrassment went through him as he actually processed the loud cheering and congratulations towards him and Builderman. And not to mention, they kissed in front of everyone. He wished someone would kill him right there and then.
Those thoughts were immediately wiped away as Builderman pulled him into a firm embrace, letting Roblox rest his head on his shoulder.
“No need to fret so much. Take it easy now, ya hear?” Builderman whispered into Roblox's ear, wishing that he would relax.
Roblox nodded against his shoulder, finally feeling his own body relax ever since he realized these feelings. Builderman’s hugs had to be one of the best things he’s ever felt.
After a few seconds of hugging, Roblox had felt the man start to sway a little bit. It didn’t take him long to realize that Builderman was trying to coax him into a dance.
If it had been anyone else, they would’ve had their head on a stick. But it was Builderman, so he couldn’t complain about it.
Roblox slid his hands to wrap around Builderman’s shoulders, while Builderman held him from his waist. When he looked back up to Builderman’s face, he couldn’t help but smile before closing his eyes to accept the slow dance Builderman had brought him into.
They were close. Too close to what Roblox would have ever been comfortable with. Their chests were almost touching. He could feel Builderman’s breath against his face. So much was going on, and Roblox couldn’t help but love it.
Though he couldn’t help it when his eyebrow twitched when the music changed to a slower song. He knew the admins were doing this on purpose. But he and Builderman kept swaying, now to the music.
Roblox opened his eyes when he felt Builderman’s shoulder shake a bit. He saw the man had gone into a fit of giggles. Roblox tilted his head, confused as to why the man in front of him was laughing now.
“What’s so funny?” Roblox asked, but he couldn’t help but smile as he continued to look at Builderman.
“Nothing! Nothing.” Builderman said, controlling his laughter. “Everythin’ just feels so surreal. As if I’m dreamin’ right now,” Builderman told him, kissing his forehead again.
Roblox’s lips pursed. He pressed his head against Builderman’s shoulder, embarrassed once again. He heard Builderman hum quietly, rubbing his hand on his back in a comforting motion.
Roblox could get used to this. The kisses, the hugs, and the dancing. He wouldn’t mind it all, as long as he got to stay by his side, what more could he ask for?
