Chapter 2: Autumn

Stiles x MOC

Tags - Fluff, selective mute, medical stuff, supernatural,

Quiet October day that was filled with peaceful naps and warm homemade cookies. With a little dabble on the current supernatural case.

Chapter Text

Luke loved Autumn, and no it wasn't a person. It's Fall, it's the chilly weather, the rainy nights and the wonderful holiday that's known as Halloween.

But if he did have to say a person that he loved? It would obviously be his boyfriend Stiles Stilinski.

They were complete opposites.

Stiles was loud and talking like his life depends on it. A pale boy who has ADHD, and runs on Adderall and curly fries.

Luke though wasn't talkative, he doesn't talk at  all actually... He's more of a listener, he will sit there and listen to his boyfriend. To his rants on supernatural cases, homework or teachers or even about movies.

He would listen.

He doesn't have ADHD, but he always makes sure that Stiles remembers his medicine and lets him mess with him.

His hands, his fingers or bracelet, his hair, lightly twisting it or moving it around.

Much like now.

They were laying on the couch, Stiles on his back, Luke on top of him, his head on his chest.

Stiles? His hand/fingers was messing with his hair. As he was rambling about school, even though he was there with him. But he didn't care.

He talked about chemistry, about lacrosse practice, and so on.

Luke nodded occasionally, or tapped Stiles' chest or rubbed his arm. A silent way of telling him that he was listening.

"And then!" Stiles stopped suddenly.

Luke looked up curious, Stiles stared down at him, his fingers messed with his hair, he lost focus.

Luke smiled, and Stiles pinked.

"Thanks for...letting me talk." Stiles said softly.

Softly...It's not that he doesn't talk softly but, he usually talks a bit louder, it's normal. Luke never minded. Luke leaned up and kissed him.

Stiles kissed him back, and they laid there, it was calm, quiet, Stiles will no doubt bring something up that he already knew. But he never complains.

Though instead of Stiles talking, he was quiet, he rubbed his back in a constant rhythm.

Up down, up down, up down.

Luke slowly closed his eyes, it was so soothing, the light rain pattering, the sound of his heartbeat.

Soon he fell asleep.

When Stiles woke up, he looked around noticing that he was alone.

His chest was empty of a body. The only thing that was there was a pumpkin covered blanket.

He sat up confused till he smelled it.

Cookies!

He got up, went to the kitchen and saw his boyfriend.

"Surprise cookies?" He asked knowingly.

Luke nodded and placed the cookies on the cooling rack.

Surprise cookies were a batch of cookies. Two types.

One batch was peanut chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin.

And the other was cinnamon apple and pumpkin.

Luke liked to mess with them. He wouldn't say anything after people took what cookie they wanted and get surprised.

Obviously mostly the first batch confused people, people who don't have heightened senses.

Stiles came forward.

"They smell good." Stiles grabbed one, he put it to his mouth, Luke tried to warn him but Stiles already burnt his tongue.

"Gah! My tongue!" He said his eyes tearing.

Luke grabbed an ice cube and tried to think if that's smart or not? He stood there before he gently grabbed his tongue and placed the cube on it.

" 'old!" Stiles whined.

Luke moved away and grabbed a cup of milk instead.

Stiles stuck his tongue in the cup of milk and they both laughed.

Luke gave him a look. And Stiles knew it.

" 'ur cookin' goods?" Stiles slurred and shrugged, trying to explain his reasoning.

Luke shook his head and kissed his cheek.

'Silly' He mouthed into his cheek.

Stiles pulled away from the cup of milk and smiled at him.

"Can I get one?" He asked.

Luke pulled a thinking face, and nodded.

He picked up two perfectly cooled cookies.

Stiles perked up and looked to the two cookies. He grabbed one and looked to him, seeing if he grabbed the good one.

Luke only acted natural and Stiles sniffed it before he bit it.

And yes it was the good one.

Stiles cheered like when he makes a goal in lacrosse. Arms raised up, chewing on the cookie and he kissed him.

Luke kissed him back laughing.

"I love your cookies." Stiles said.

Luke mouthed thank you.

But of course this didn't last.

Stiles phone rang, he put the cookie in his mouth and took his phone out.

He eyed it and looked to Luke.

"Got a case." He said.

Supernatural cases.

Wolves. Vampires. Witches and so on.

It was like Halloween everyday! And Luke was more than happy to help Stiles with the research.

Much like now.

Stiles was on his computer that was connected to the printer.

Luke was on his laptop, his back leaning against the headboard.

The only sounds were of the keyboard, and Stiles' occasional mumbling about how that can't be right or not exactly it.

Luke wrote things down, nodding to himself and humming.

"Got anything?" Stiles asked.

Luke shook his head.

Stiles looked to him, and not seeing him trying to tell him something he took that as a no.

After another hour of searching Luke jumped and went to Stiles' computer.

"Hey!" Stiles shouted but seeing him type something in the search engine, he let him.

Luke moved away and Stiles read the computer.

"Holy...shit." Stiles said as he read the words.

Stiles looked to him and grabbed him, pulling him into his lap.

Luke yelped but let him.

"Thank you." Stiles said sincerely.

Luke nodded.

Stiles stared at him and hugged him tighter.

"Course." Luke said so softly, barely above a whisper, but Stiles loved it. Anytime he can hear his voice he always cherishes it.

When the others got back from the newest monster hunt. Luke was there with supplies.

Medical herbs from Deaton for the wolves.

Gauze and medical tape for the humans.

And harsh glares for them all.

"I don't need-"

Luke glares at Jackson, who scoffs and looks to Stiles.

"Yo Stilinski your boyfriend's tweaking out!" Jackson complained.

Luke looks to him and very innocently pushed the herbs in his wound harsher.

"Ow!" Jackson yelled and glared at him.

"I think he's fine." Stiles said quickly.

Luke smiled at him, washed his hands, and went to the next person.

He looked to Derek who was already giving him an annoyed look.

He pointed to his shirt.

Derek didn't move.

Luke sighed and grabbed scissors to cut off the already ruined shirt.

Derek was about to threatened him when Luke beat him to it.

"Don't." He said lowly.

Yes Luke was human, only human, no Alpha, not a witch or a vampire or anything supernatural.

But he was fucking terrifying...

So yeah it was no surprise that Derek relented and let him cut off his shirt to heal him.

"Hey thanks for the help, it's still funny seeing them freak out about you. I don't get it your the most adorable guy that I've ever seen!

I mean look at you! You're so tiny and have the most beautiful blue eyes and your smile is-" Stiles ranted as they put away the supplies.

Luke though stopped and looked at his boyfriend.

Stiles was throwing away bloody rags when he saw him staring at him.

He swallowed and stared at him.

"I'm rambling again aren't I?"

Luke nodded.

Stiles made a face but Luke didn't mind, he'd never mind.

"Coffee?" Luke asked.

"Let me guess pumpkin spice." Stiles asked already knowing.

"The best." Luke justified.

"Hehe yeah of course you'd say that." Stiles said  dropping the garbage bag and washing his hand and grabbing his jeep keys.

Nothing beats Autumn.

Izuku Midoriya x MOC - Friends

Ghost, fluff, angst, death oc

Midoriya wasn't aware that when he came into school after a practice accident that he would see him-Haku the ghost who only wanted a friend.

Chapter Text

"Hm. Hm hm."

"Hmm hmm hmm!"

Haku hummed, walking down the hallway, looking to the happy students, they were talking about weekend plans.
About hero work studies or potential ways to use their quirks, they were all excited or worried.

Haku skipped down the hallway looking out the window until he went to walk again when a green haired boy stopped.

"Oh! I'm so sorry! I didn't see you! Are you okay?" He asked.

Haku stood there, he looked around before he looked back to him. A boy 15/16, green messy hair, with matching emerald green eyes. Cute freckles on his cheeks, a bit shorter than him.

"Me?" Haku asked making sure he was talking to him.

"Yeah? I'm sorry I was thinking about-"

"You can see me?" Haku asked again.

"Yes?" The boy said confused.

Haku immediately smiled.

"You can see! You can see me! Oh we're gonna have so much fun!" Haku jumping around.

"I I don't understand-"

"I'm a ghost!" Haku said like that's a normal thing to say.

The boy looked at him.

Short white hair, big glowing sea green eyes, a normal school uniform. He didn't look like a ghost?

"A a ghost? Like that's your quirk?" He asked, he doesn't blame him but-

"Nope! I'm dead!" Haku said normally, like that's not the saddest thing to say.

"Your....dead?" He said slowly.

"Yep! Come on let's play!" Haku nodded and grabbed his hand, tried to. It went through...

He looked to him, his face pale, his eyes wide.

Haku stared at him, he looked to his hand that didn't grab his, he pouted.

"Oh man! Well at least we can talk and hang! Come on- oh wait I don't know your name! I'm Haku...I can't quite remember my family name? But you can call me Haku!

What's your name?" He asked.

"M-Midoriya. Izuku..." He swallowed

"Midoriya? Oh yeah! I think I've seen you around-" He looked around seeing the emptying hallway.

"Aw man class is starting....Oh! This is gonna be fun!" Haku ran to classroom 1A.

The students were talking, laughing and chatting about random things.

When the teacher came, they all quieted and sat down, including Midoriya.

He looked around and when he saw him, he waved to him and winked.

He floated up, like actually floating up, he flew around until he looked to the lights.

He lifted his hand, and touched it.

Immediately the lights reacted, they flickered and everyone reacted.

"What's that?"

"Is it haunted!?"

"Relax it's normal the bulbs are probably going out." The teacher said boredly.

Midoriya though stared at him, watching him laughing, watching as no one saw him...

He flew dramatically to all of the lights making them all flicker.

"Ahah!"

"I knew it man the school is haunted!"

"Denki do something!"

"What can I do?"

"Haku stop it!" Midoriya yelled.

"Hahaha! Why? Isn't it funny?" Haku asked floating down to him.

"I mean...Your scaring my friends?" Midoriya said softly. Trying to show how serious this is.

"Uh yeah? That's why it's fun!" He said cheekily.

"Midoriya who are you talking to?" A boy with red spiky hair asked.

Midoriya looked to Haku who walked around them.

"They can't see you?" He asked, stated.

Haku shook his head.

"Nope! But you can! And we're gonna play so many pranks! And I can actually have a real friend!" Haku rambled clearly excited.

"Deku?"

He looked back to his classmates.

"Um...I I think I'm seeing ghosts-"

"Ghost! Just one technically I'm only one haha." Haku laughed and floated up slightly, he flew around Aizawa.

"Ah!" Midoriya shrieked.

"Huh...So this is your teacher?" Haku talked to himself.

"Haku!" He shouted seeing him mess with him.

Waving his hand through his body. Yes it went through.

"Midoriya what is going on? What ghosts are you seeing?" Aizawa asked.

Midoriya shrugged.

"I I don't know?" He looked Haku who went to him.

"I'm just a ghost. Nothing special."

"He he says that he's just a ghost. Nothing special."

"Oh! Now I have more friends!" Haku said happily.

"Tell them my name! We can all play a game!" Haku begged.

Midoriya coughed.

"His name is Haku and he he wants to be our friends and play a game." Midoriya shrugged.

It was quiet, no one said anything, they all looked around each other.

Midoriya looked to his teacher.

"When did this start?" He only asked.

"Today? I nearly bumped into him in the halls. And he-"

"And we became friends~" Haku said.

"Uh yeah yeah we we became friends?" He looked to his teacher.

Aizawa stood there.

"Did you get attacked? Were you hit by a quirk?"

"No. I promise, I just came from the dorms." He said honestly.

"Wait I think I know what this is!" Denki shouted.

They all looked to him.

"Midoriya weren't your hurt pretty badly? You hit your head right?" Denki asked.

"Oh yeah you did? But what does that have to do with seeing ghosts?" Mina asked.

"Oh come on! Don't any of you watch TV! He nearly died and now he can see ghosts!" He said like it was the most obvious thing.

Midoriya looked to Haku who stood there, actually looking to be listening.

"Haku does that sound like something that could explain this?" Midoriya asked.

"I don't know?" He said shrugging.

"Okay...Wait if your...you died." Midoriya said in realization.

"That's what I said." He said with a teasing smile.

"Well if you're dead, then why are you here?" He asked looking to his school uniform again.

Haku who was smiling, stopped, his face turned cold, his eyes dark.

"Haku...?" Midoriya walked to him before he shook his head and smiled.

"Who knows? Hehe"

Midoriya looked to the others waiting for something.

"He doesn't know..."

Aizawa sighed.

"We'll deal with this later, Midoriya tell Haku to knock it off."

"Hey I can hear you! Talk to me!" Haku pouted.

"Yes sir."

"Don't agree with him! I wanna play! Come on just tell them that missing one day of school won't kill them." Haku begged.

"Haku not now. How about we talk more at lunch okay?" Midoriya tried.

Haku sighed.

"But...I was finally having fun." Haku said sadly, he actually sounded so broken...

"Hey! Hey we can have fun?" Midoriya tried going directly infront of him.

"We're friends...Of course we can play and hang out and stuff. But we also have school?" Midoriya tried.

"You have to understand that? You were a student to?" He said softly.

Haku stood there.

"Yeah...Yeah. I do." Haku admitted.

He looked to Midoriya.

"Okay. I'll be quiet and sit in the corner."

The rest of class was fine, Haku did just sit in the corner or he would occasionally walk around.

Looking at each of the students notes, or humming to himself.

And when all of the classes were over it was time for lunch...

"Lunch! Lunch! Lunch!" Haku cheered walking with Midoriya and his friends.

"Is. Is the ghost with us?" Uraraka asked.

"Yep I sure am~" He said knowing that she can't hear him.

"Yeah he is." Midoriya said.

Meanwhile Aizawa couldn't help but think about that Ghost...Haku.

While the kids were at lunch he went to the student filing room and went to the previous students cabinet and looked through them.

"Whatcha doing in here babe?" Present Mic asked.

Aizawa said nothing and looked through papers.

"Sho?" He asked again peering over his shoulder.

"Why are you looking at previous students." He asked.

"I'm just looking for something." Aizawa said quietly.

"Looking for what exactly?" He asked looking at a file.

"Midoriya is seeing a ghost, a boy named Haku. Midoriya said that he died, so that rules out a quirk."

"Unless his quirk is related to his ghostliness?" Mic said.

"I thought that too..."

"Which is why you're here looking at previous students? Why do you think he's a student here?" Mic asked still a bit confused.

"Karmnari mentioned how Midoriya had a near death experience, and then suddenly he was seeing him here...I think he died here."

"How many student deaths have we had?" Mic asked wearily.

"Only one."

Haku came to terms with his backstory.

Chapter Text

"Oh this is gonna be so much fun!" Haku squealed.

Midoriya laughed.

"So uh Haku? Right?" Mina asked looking around.

Haku smiled.

"I'm right here!" He laughed.

"He's right here." Midoriya said kindly.

Mina looked to the empty spot.

"So...Haku?" Mina asked.

"Yep! That's me!" He said.

Midoriya nodded showing her that he was listening.

"So uh...Did you go here?" She asked.

"Was I a student here?" He repeated thinking.

Midoriya looked to him after swallowing his food.

Haku sat there, actually confused.

"I...I think I was?"

"You sound unsure?" Midoriya noted.

"I...I was! Yes yes I I was!" He said in realization.

"Yes! I was a student!" He said proudly again.

"Yeah he was." Midoriya told the others.

"I was a second year? No no I was a first year...I was in Ryoska Sensei's class! The hero course! I remember." He went on.

Midoriya relayed the information to the others who were asking questions.

How long ago was this?

What type of hero he was?

What was your quirk?

His hero name and custom.

But then-

"So how did you die?"

That was the first time it was outright asked.

And the whole table went silent.

Haku sat there, he wasn't smiling, he hasn't spoken up to say how.

A similar cold expression overcame him.

"Haku?" Midoriya asked.

He stared at him, before in a blink of an eye he was gone.

"Haku? Haku?" Midoriya asked alarmed, standing up and looking around the cafeteria and halls.

"Midoriya?"

"Deku? Is something wrong?"

"Haku left?" He only said.

"Midoriya we need to talk." Aizawa said after lunch was over and the students were packing up.

Midoriya looked to him, seeing his homeroom teacher and principal, he swallowed nervously but nodded slowly.

"Okay? Is something wrong?" He asked.

"Is he here with you? Haku?" Aizawa asked.

"No? No he uh he left, someone asked him how he died and-"

"Good then we can talk."

Haku sat on the roof, his legs kicking, his hands gripping the edge.

He hummed to himself, he looked over the edge, seeing tiny dots of people walking below.

How he died?

How did he die?

He remembers...screaming? No no he wasn't? Yes wait yes he was? Why...?

He sighed and looked up at the sky. Blue, white, birds, planes, calm.

Hearing a door opening, he ignored it, thinking that it was the janitor smoking.

"Haku?" He jumped and turned looking to Midoriya.

"Midoriya! Hey!" He smiled and pat the spot next to him.

Midoriya sat next to him.

"Are you okay?" He asked.

Haku shrugged.

"I'm fine."

Midoriya was nervous, he looked to his scarred hands, he was thinking, his mind whirling with what he found out.

"I uh...Aizawa found some files. Old student files?" He offered.

"Oh?" Haku looked to him.

"Yeah...um Aizawa was curious about you, so he looked into the files-"

"What? Wait why? That's not nice!" Haku said.

"He was just curious? You know if the roles were reversed wouldn't you want to go know? Villains are ruthless-"

"I know how villains are!" Haku yelled the huge metal door threw open, windows underneath them cracked.

"I know how people can be so cruel! I know how friends can betray you!" Haku screamed, Midoriya watched him.

His eyes looked dark and sucken, his skin looked paler, and that's when he saw his clothes. the UA uniform was torn, his tie was gone, but his coat was ratty.

But what caught his attention was the injuries, the giant red splotch that was on his head and the marks.
The bruises, the scratches, the burn scars.

"I know exactly how people are." Haku cried.

Midoriya sat there, before he slowly moved his hand to his.
And without both of them noticing it, he was actually holding it.

"I'm so sorry. I'm so so sorry." Midoriya said.
"Do you want to talk about it?" He asked.

"I...I don't know. I can't remember much, I was fine with that. I was happy just walking around and watching everyone.

But now I'm." Haku squeezed his hand.

"I was bullied too. By my best friend, he got his quirk and it was amazing, even I was happy for him. But when I didn't...He started teasing me, him and his friends. All the way through Middle School." Midoriya explained.

"In highschool, here, it lessened, and I have so many friends and support. From teachers and students..." He looked to him.

"Sorry. Uh, I know though that it must have been rough, that's an understatement. It's painful, it's horrible.

And I'm sorry that you went through that alone..."

Haku said nothing, he didn't cry, he didn't laugh, he didn't shout or scream at him.

He just sat there, looking at the now darkening sky.

"I always wanted to be a hero." Haku said softly.

"I wanted to help people, my quirk was called Possession. I can take control of people and objects." His voice was soft but broken.

"At middle school people were scared of me, thinking I would make them do things or something.

It's a villains quirk...I heard that everyday.

When I got into UA? I was so happy...and I made a friend. Shiro Takahashi, he always told me that I could be a hero. The best...

But he got...so angry, I passed tests, I got the highest scores, I was becoming a hero...A hero that he didn't want me to be." Haku looked to him.

"He started bullying me. Him and his buddies. They always said the meanest of things, and he hurt me daily that-...And I couldn't handle it some days." His sleeves ruffled from an invisible wind, but Midoriya saw the wounds...the cuts.

"I didn't want to die. I wanted to fight back, so I told a teacher, and...When they found out, they took me up here. I screamed and cried and hehe I didn't use my quirk, the one thing that could have saved me. Maybe I forgot? Maybe I didn't want to prove them right, about using it against their will.

Or maybe...Maybe I wanted to die after all. I don't know."

Midoriya tried to not cry, he tried to not tear up like he went through this.

It was quiet once again.

Haku lifted his hand and removed his tears.

"I'm okay. I'm okay-" Haku tried to comfort him.

"No. No you didn't deserve that...No hero should have..." Midoriya cried more.

Haku moved and sat on his knees, through teary eyes Midoriya saw his form turned back to normal.

His school uniform was cleaned, he wasn't bloody or covered in marks.

He was...beautiful.

Midoriya calmed and stared at him, Haku smiled and Midoriya wondered how could he? Even he struggled when Bakugou bullied him.

"You should go to the dorms? Get some sleep?" Haku suggested.

"Leave you?" Midoriya asked in horror.

"Hehe just for the night? I'll wait for you at the front doors." Haku said kindly.

Midoriya nodded and Haku went with him as he walked to the front doors.

"Thank you for trusting me with your story." Midoriya said.

"Thank you for being someone who I can trust." Haku said.

He left, and Haku waited like he promised.

He stood there, and watched as the dark sky turned brighter, he watched as the teachers arrived.

He watched as some of the students arrived early. One of them included Midoriya, who was eagerly looking around.

"Midoriya!" He said happily.

Midoriya smiled in relief and ran to him.

"Haku!" He shouted and hugged him...

Haku hugged him back.

"Your your hugging me." Haku said.

Midoriya pulled away.

"I'm so sorry-"

"No no don't hehe. It's nice. I haven't been touched since..." Haku smiled and grabbed his hand.

"Let's play before school starts!" Haku cheered.

"Yeah. Let's."

Chapter 5: Say Your Name Pt 1 of 3

Summary:

Fandom - Teen Wolf

Stiles Stilinski x Male Oc.

Vampire, accidental kidnapping, angst,

Stiles wasn't sure how he got here, in a dungeon like prison cell, stone walls everywhere, cold.

But when he saw the vampires, he knew (thought) that he was in trouble.

Chapter Text

Stiles opened his eyes blearily, he looked around and only saw darkness but a bit of light from the doorway.

"Of course it had to be the human." Stiles grumbled.

He looked to his hands, seeing the chains, he slowly moved to stand up and nearly fall.

He shook his hands, pulled them apart.

"Your human Stiles, not a werewolf with superhuman strength." He berated himself again.

He still couldn't help but try again hoping that it was weak enough that he could break it off or at least apart.

Hearing the door open, he jerked his head up seeing three figures.

One girl and two guys.

They were all pale, and wore fully covered clothes.

The girl had her hair up, dark brown, her hands were on her hips.

One of the guys had dark red curly hair.

The last one had light brown hair.

"What the hell do you want?" Stiles asked, trying to say it tough, like he wasn't scared.

"We want nothing from you." The girl said looking to the red haired guy who left for a second.

When he came back, he had a tray of food.

"I recommend you eat, Master wouldn't want you to be underfed-"

"Yeah? How do I know that you didn't poison it?" Stiles scoffed.

The women only stood there.

"I guess you'll have to eat it and find out."

"Morgan. He's already gonna be pissed-"

The women, Morgan, rolled her eyes, took the tray and sat it on the table in the room.

"Master needs this, whether he believes it or not. You eat." She said her eyes turning... definitely not human.

Stiles stood there.

"I would eat human." The other man said.

Stiles didn't move.

"Well congrats Morgan your officially the scary one."

Morgan said nothing she stared at Stiles.

Stiles stepped backward, his back to the corner.

She scoffed.

"You're willing to starve to death? Are you really gonna stand there while perfectly cooked food is right here." She said painting to the table with the cooling food.

"If I don't know what it is or who is holding me captive? Yeah I'm willing." Stiles said like it was the most obvious thing.

It was...

The three of them stood there, but there was this...expression that over came them. They all looked to each other and silently all three of them left.

Stiles stood there, he looked around actually surprised, he looked to the food but he couldn't trust it.

Instead he sat back down and hoped that Scott and the others will find him soon.

He wasn't sure how long he sat there, but yeah he was getting hungry, but also no he didn't eat the food.

Instead he just sat there.

When he woke up, he jumped seeing the same three people standing in front of him..

"You snore." The brown haired guy said.

"Fuck you!" Stiles said...That was weak.

The guy snorted and the old food was taken away.

"You have to eat. Master won't-"

"You know what! Screw you! I was eating fine at home! You three kidnapped me for no reason! Is this about the pack?" Stiles asked.

Morgan sighed.

"There is a reason. And no it's not about those mutts." She said like just saying that was acid.

The red haired man set the new food tray directly in front of him.

"I recommend you eat now."

"I recommend that you guys let me go before my pack comes and saves me." Stiles threatened.

Red sighed and stood up.

"No they won't." He only said.

Stiles looked to the food, chicken with a side of seasoned vegetables. His stomach growled, and he heard their laughs.

He looked to them, they had knowing smirks on their faces. Stiles glared at them, and kicked the food tray.

"Dude! Just eat the food Master will kill us if his ma-" the brown haired guy tried to say when Red grabbed his arm and squeezed it.

His eyes widened and stared at Stiles who stared at them.

"If what?!" He shouted.

"Nothing. But the next food we bring, you will eat it." Morgan said going out of the room.

"Clean this up." She said.

Just then an girl came in, she kneeled to the food, picked up the chicken and vegetables.

When she was done, she got up and left. And so did Morgan and the brown haired boy.

But not Red...

"Why does your Master want me?" Stiles asked.

Red stood there.

Stiles scoffed.

"Let me guess, he wants something that I have? Well I only have my Jeep and no one is getting that."

Red knitted his eyebrows but said nothing.

"I'm serious! Roscoe is going in my will that no one will get him. He's gonna live with me in the graveyard." Stiles said.

Red looked to him, trying to see if he was being serious.

"Well it's good a thing that he doesn't want your jeep."

"Then why the hell does he want me?" Stiles asked.

"If I'm being honest he doesn't want you-"

"What?"

Suddenly Red's face dropped and he looked to the door.

Stiles copied and the only thing he heard was the sound of shoes.

Tap. Tap. Tap. Tap.

Red looked scared but it didn't seem anything scary.

But when he saw him, yeah...He can see why he's scared.

Unlike Morgan's flashing scary eyes, his seem to always be present.

The white of his eyes was instead black, and he had red puples.

His hair was black and slicked back, he was pale like the others, he had nice dress clothes. His pants were pressed, his shirt was a black button up.
His shoes were a nice expressive leather, and had a slight raised heel.

"Leave." He said not even looking at Red.

He did so quickly.

He looked to him, his hands were behind his back, he didn't say anything just stared.

Before Stiles could open his mouth, this man did.

"I apologize. My subordinates, were...confused and misinformed." He said his voice was soft, it definitely wasn't what he was expecting.

"Confused?" Stiles asked dumbly.

"Yes. Their intention was well."

Stiles lifted his eyebrow.

"You have need to worry anymore, you'll be released soon." He said stepping closer and unlocking his cuffs.

"Wait really? Your letting me go?" Stiles asked not believing him.

"Yes. Once it gets darker out, you'll be out back to where you were taken from." He said standing back and urging him out of the cell.

"You are really letting me go after all of the trouble of taking me?" Stiles asked.

"Yes. You will go back home and you will never step foot here again." He said.

That's when his voice changed, it wasn't angry, it barely fluctuated, but Stiles caught it.
It sounded...broken?

"Why at night. Why not now?" Stiles asked following him down the hallways.

"..."

"You don't talk much do you." Stiles asked.

"No." He said.

Stiles looked around and saw two more...creatures.

They're not human, he's not dumb enough to think that. But his mind was running to what they are...

Pale skin...can't come out at night-

"No...Are you guys vampires?" He asked outright.

The head Vampire only walked up the stairs and looked to him.

Stiles waited, wanting to know.

He nodded.

"Yes we are. Now please come up here and eat...They have told me how you haven't for nearly two days." He said.

Stiles ran up the stairs.

"Well I'm not drinking blood."

"The food that was prepared for you was human edible food. Chicken with vegetables." He said.

Stiles looked around the...mansion. It was huge and decorated and impressively clean.

He looked back to the vampire leader...Master he noted.

"Your really gonna let me go? No human blood bag-"

"Yes. You will leave and you will never return, I do deeply apologize that they brought you here-"

"Why did they? You said a miscommunication and stuff? Are you like looking for someone or?" Stiles asked, his curious mind running to find an answer.

He only stood there.

"No. I'm not looking for anyone." He said turning around and walking to the kitchen.

Stiles looked to his hands, they were behind his back, his thumbnail was elongated and he was...cutting his palm.

Stiles followed him.

"I just want to know why they took me? They said that you were-"

"They were wrong." He said a bit harsher this time.

He stood there, his hands moved to the front of him.

"They said that you wanted me well fed and clearly taken care of, but then Red just admitted that you don't want me-"

He turns to him.

"Red? You mean Quinn?"

"Well I didn't know his name! I only knew Morgan's and they weren't exactly talking. Kind of like you? Is this a vampire thing?" He asked.

"You don't have to worry about it. We'll get you fed, wait till it's dark, and you'll be taken home. I'm asking that you don't ask questions. It won't help you or give you any knowledge that you desire."

"How about I make that decision. It's the least that you can do?" Stiles stated.

"Heh. They were thinking that you were someone special to me. Vampires are lone creatures, unlike...Wolves, who have a pack, Vampires have a coven. A leader, and subordinates, and a mate..." He said softly.

"That dude said-" Stiles thought and looks to him.

"They were mistaken." He only said, Stiles looked to his hands, once again behind his back, no doubt cutting his palm.

"Were they?" Stiles asked.

"Yes. We shall resume our way to the kitchen." He said turning around promptly and went to the kitchen.

When Stiles got there he watched as he took out food and a knife and a cutting board.

"Vampires can eat human food?" Stiles asked.

Not getting an answer he looked to him.

"So you don't drink blood?"

Nothing again.

"Look I don't hold it against them, they were confused it's fine...You know it's cool seeing vampires. I've seen werewolfs, witches Kitsune's!" Stiles said walking to him.

"You know in fact we could maybe make a deal or a pact?" Stiles tried still not seeing any reaction.

"Did you want your mate-"

Just then the knife was harshly set on the table.

He clenched his hands before he almost instantly calmed down.

"We have human food because we have human donors. They are willing to give us their blood in return for favors.

And no. No we won't have a pact. Once you are gone you gone for good." He said his eyes stared at him, memorizing his features, his eyes, his lips...

"I don't think you really want that?"

With Stiles back home, he couldn't help but think about all that happened. So he did what he does best and researches the hell out of it till all of his questions were answered.

Chapter Text

"What happened?"

"Are you okay?"

"Why do you smell like death?"

"Where the hell were you?"

Stiles couldn't answer any of that.

He didn't really know what happened.

He wasn't sure if he was okay.

He doesn't know why he smells like death, actually he might know.

But he didn't know where the hell he was.

Instead he just mumbled that he wanted to go home and wash up. Scott helped him, and when he got to his door he stopped him.

"Are you okay man?" He asked.

Stiles nodded.

"Yeah. Yeah I just I want to sleep and wash up. I'll text you later." He said opening his door, going into his house, and up to his room and straight to his computer.

No he didn't take a shower, and no he didn't sleep.

Instead he turned on his computer, and searched up vampires.

Blood suckers.

Cold.

Fast.

Strong.

Anti sun.

Pale skinned.

Stiles grabbed his books, and wrote notes and highlighted things.

He wasn't sure what was accurate, he knows some things from talking to him, but not much.

But what never came up was mates...

Vampires are heartless and lonely creatures, so no love.

But he said...

"Dude have you-"

"Ahah! Fuck Scott!" Stiles screamed looking to his best friend.

Scott looked at him, and then to his computer.

"Why are you looking up vampires?" Scott asked.

"No reason." Stiles said closing his lap top.

Scott went to him.

"Come to the Pack House. We're all worried about you." Scott said, urged.

Stiles messed with his pencil.

"I'm fine. I just I need answers."

"You'll get them. You always do. Come on." Scott said.

Stiles begrudgingly followed Scott, going to the Pack House, he did change clothes but he didn't shower.

When he walked in, he was tackled with questions and hugs.

"I'm fine. I'm okay. He let me go-"

"He just let you go?"

"Who had you?"

"Seriously why do you smell like that?"

He sighed and opened his mouth when a certain Sourwolf spoke up.

"You were with Vampires." Derek said.

He wasn't loud, but his voice was always heard.

They all looked to him. Including Stiles, who nodded.

"Yeah." He said.

Derek went to him, his arms crossed over his chest, that stern, RBF that he always wears.

"You were taken by vampires." He stated.

"Yes. Three of them but the leader let me go, said that it was a mistake and that it won't happen again." Stiles recited.

Derek looked at him.

"Do you know him?" Scott asked Derek.

"The leader of the Vampire coven here. They all call him Master, we don't even know his name." Derek said turning around and going to a wall panel and took out what looked like a leger.

"We-Talia tried to establish a relationship with him."

"It didn't work out?" Lydia asked.

"No. The issue with a Vampire and Werewolf is that they are two completely different and frankly opposite species."

"Yeah. He said something like that.

Wolves work in packs and trust, Vampires it's all about leadership. The Master is the Master, no second or anything." Stiles said.

"The fact he let you go is...odd. Did he say why?" Derek asked.

Stiles was quiet at that.

"Stiles?" Lydia asked.

He looked to her.

"It was a mistake. Miscommunication..." He only said.

But why? Why is covering for him.

"Look, I'm fine, and he said that..." He stopped and looked to Derek.

"Have you met him?" He suddenly asked.

"No only my mother and her Beta's." He said.

Stiles walked around.

"Do you know anything about Vampires Mates?" He asked.

At that Derek stared at him with wide eyes.

They all looked between the two.

"What's going on?" Issac spoke up.

"You do. So tell me what are they exactly? I've looked and-"

"You won't find anything. I only know a handful of things and even that might be wrong. Vampires...They're."

"They're lonely creatures who need someone to feel alive." Peter spoke up.

"Oh come on dear nephew say it, you're thinking it and so am I." Peter looked from Derek to Stiles.

"Stiles you very well might be the mate to this Master Vampire." Peter finished.

"He said that I wasn't and that it was a mistake." Stiles immediately said.

"Heh. If it was a mistake than why are thinking about this so much?" Peter said taking the leger from Derek and opening it.

"This Vampire has been alive for a long long time. My dear sister wanted to establish a friendly relationship with him but he declined.

Saying how he doesn't want to influence either side. What that means, we never knew. But she agreed and was willing to try again.

She never got there." Peter said flipping through the pages.

"What does this have to do with me being his..."

"Mate?" Peter finished, he closed the book and walked to him.

"Vampires have many gifts and knowledge that even we don't have. Secrets that everyone will die to get! " Peter said dramatically.

Seeing his blank stare he continued.

"His loyal coven kidnapped you. And when he found out he let you go- tell me Stiles does a mate do that out of love or hate?" He said.

Stiles stood there.

"He didn't force me to go, or stay..." He said, he messed with his hands before he tossed them.

"This still doesn't explain anything!"

"Well you could ask him?" Peter tried

"I don't know where they live? I just saw the inside and it was huge! Bigger than the Pack House!"

"Oh Stiles. There's ways."

The head Vampire sat in his chair, papers were all over his desk, his pen was being held firmly in his hand.

But what he heard stopped his train of thought and work.

'Master. The Human is back. And he has a group with him.'

He sat there, dropped his pen and leaned back against his chair. He swiveled it to look out the window. The sky was grey and cloudy.
And there below he saw the gate, and outside of the locked door was the human and a group of Wolves.

He sighed, stood up, and went down to the gate.

"I believe I told you to-"

"I! I know! Just...Please." The human said.
"I need to know why, why-" He couldn't phrase it, any of it.

He stood there staring at him.

"Look. We're mates. Right? We're meant to be together? Or soulmates something like that. Right?" He asked.

"I-"

"You can't lie." Stiles said immediately.

"Human. I believe I already told you that some things are best not to be known-"

"You can't do that! Look is it because I'm human? A guy?"

"No-"

"Then just tell me! Look I'm a curious person okay? My brain I'll rack and rack and think and I won't sleep until I know.

Look your friends brought me in and unfortunately I can't leave till I know all of the information.

So no matter how horrible or mean it is. Tell me." Stiles said.

He stepped closer and waved his hand unlocking the door so that they were close.

"We're mates. Destined to be together, through sickness and health, wealth or poverty." He said softly, lovingly.

"When I met my mate, I fell in love with him, I cherished him, I gave him everything he desired.

Unknown to me, he had this massive crush on this woman. Gorgeous, nice, smart in so many ways-He left me to be with her." Stiles stared at him, before he could talk he continued.

"Years later I...I felt a familiar pull to him...I thought I got lucky and got a second chance mate. It's rare but happens.

I was hesitant but I fell in love all over. I held his hand, we went on dates, I told him everything..."

"He left you?" Stiles said softly.

"This went on for years, it's always the same. Sometimes it's different."

"What do you mean?" He asked.

"This always ends one of two ways.

You come with me, we have an amazing beginning, and then you start to doubt and leave me and go be with her.

Or you go with her right away and...

And you guys have an amazing wedding, have two beautiful kids, have your dream job and a wonderful house.

And I...and I don't fight. I let it happen, I'll let you go." He said softly.

"So to save all of this, to save us both the trouble, I'll just avoid you, I won't even tell you about us or this and just let you two fall in love." He said his eyesight on the red haired girl.

"You won't give me a choice?" Stiles asked, horrified.

He gave him a sad sympathetic smile.

"There's never one to make. Right? Human I'm telling you, we never work out, you'll either choose her- look I'm not angry or sad or hateful.

I've made peace with it."

He stepped away to the gates.

"I haven't!" Stiles shouted.

"Stiles-"

"Dude-"

He ignored their hands and stalked to him.

"Look let's talk-"

"You're feeling guilty." He turned to him.

"This happens too. You'll feel guilty, you'll think that this one is different. That you are different.

That you'll love me and treat me with respect and love, and that we'll live together. Happy."

Stiles stood there.

"Human...It's guilt. You do feel something, they all did, but your love for her always outgrew." He slowly lifted his hand to touch him but he stopped.

"It's okay to not love me, like I said in the beginning, I'm terribly sorry that they brought you here. I never wanted you to know."

"But now I know. So you just...You just stay here? What if one of us is different- what if!" Stiles stared at him.

"It never is. Please, you'll be happy with her, you'll have two kids, your job? A wonderful house...Most importantly you'll be happy." He said.

Nothing else was said.

No begging.

No crying.

No shouts or screams

So he turned around and left. He closed the gate, he walked up to the house, thankful for the cloudy day as he closed it on him.

He stood there, his thumbnail digging into his palm.

He went up to his office, he sat at the desk and opened the drawer.

He took out a familiar vial and sat there, his thumb caressing the glass bottle.

Wondering if it would just be easier.

Stiles thought about everything before making a desperate attempt.

Chapter Text

Stiles sat in his jeep, before he got out and slammed his jeep door and walked around. Running his hand through his hair, before he growled and hit his beloved jeep.

He stood there leaning his hands and weight against it.

He wasn't sure what to think, he wants to scream, but he doesn't know in what way?

"You know. That Vampire was right? In giving you a choice I mean-" Scott tried.

"He didn't give me one! He just assumed-" Stiles shouted.

"Stiles? Why are you taking this so hard? I mean it's not like you like him right?" Lydia asked this time, she went to him.

He looked to her, her green eyes, strawberry blond hair, nicely done makeup.

He's been in love with her for-ever, tried to show her how compatible they were, but she never felt that way.
When he finally told her how he felt, she let him down. She was nice about it, saying how they were friends and she preferred it that way.

He stood up straight.

"I don't know...I I don't know how I feel."

"Well maybe you should figure that out. Take a real shower, get real sleep and think about it before you break that mans heart again." She said firmly.

That's exactly what Stiles did, he went home, saw his dad but he walked past him. He took a shower and laid in his bed.

"Hey?" His dad said.

He looked to him.

"Are you okay?" He asked.

"Yeah..."

His dad looked to him.

"Really dad just tired." He said.

"Alright. Well get some sleep." He said as he closed the door

"I'll try."

Stiles did try.

He laid there, his head resting on his favorite pillow, he closed his eyes and thought back to him.

Dark black hair. Pale skin. Strange yet beautiful eyes, nice pressed clothes. His soft comforting voice that he feels safe while hearing.
Firm looking arms that he knows he'll be safe and comforted in.

Before he knew it, it was morning and he had a slight issue...

The Head Vampire looked to his tea cup filled with a dark red liquid. He held the vial, he's been tempted for years, but he always found a reason to hold it off.

Now?

He's more tempted than ever.

'Master?'

'Speak.' He said as he opened the vial.

'The human is back and I don't think he's leaving.'

That's when he froze.

'Make him leave.' He only said.

It was quiet, he sipped his nonpoison drink, and waited...

He'll leave.

He probably just wanted to apologize and say that he wanted to be with her.

Which he'll always be okay with...

He'll leave... He'll get his dream job, he'll get married, he'll get a beautiful house, he'll have two kids. He'll leave him.

'Master?'

He'll leave.

'Yes?'

He'll leave.

'He won't leave till he sees you. He says that it's important.'

He closed the vial, put it back in his drawer, and looked out the window seeing how bright it is.

'Allow him in.' He says.

He waited, and when he arrived, he allowed him in.

He stood there, looking around the office, before he looked to him.

"Hey."

"Hello Human." He said.

"Why do you keep calling me Human?" He asked.

"...What do you want." He asked instead.

Stiles nodded and walked to him.

"I want us-"

"No." He said immediately.

"You can't! Look." Stiles went closer to him.

"I like you, I really really like you. Wouldn't it be better to not feel so alone even if it's just a few days?" Stiles begged.

"Please I know how I feel, I know that I won't let you go. Prove me right, or in your case wrong. Let's just..." Stiles stared at him.

He sat there, his eyes moving to his drawer, before he looked back to him.

One last relationship.

One last Mate.

One last...glimpse of happiness. Of being in love of holding and kissing and thinking that this is it.

One last hurrah.

He stood up, towering over him.

"Fine." He said.

Stiles eyes widen.

"Really? Your-We can date?!" Stiles asked happy.

"Yes." He only said.

"Great! Uh oh wow you don't know my name? Hey I don't know your name!?"

He smiled little.

"Saying ones name solidifies the mating bond. Accepts it." He said.

"So that's why you call me Human."

He nodded.

"Stiles. Stiles Stilinski." He said his hand held out before dropped it awkwardly.

The Vampire stood there, before he tilted his head.

"That's not your name?" He stated.

Stiles stood there.

"I mean...Well no it's my nickname I don't really use my real name. Do you need it too?" He asked.

"It's your name." He only said.

"Mieczyslaw. But I couldn't pronounce it, the closest I could get was Mischief. So I went by Stiles which was actually my grandfather's nickname too!"

"Mieczyslaw?" He said he felt that familiar warm feeling, the bond reaching for him, needing his name to complete.

"Rudolph. Rudolph DeLuca."

And there it was, the bond solidifying.

"Rudolph? Like the red nose reindeer?" Stiles laughed.

"Reindeer don't have red noses?" Rudolph said confused.

Stiles stared at him.

"The Christmas movie? The books?
'Rudolph the red nose reindeer'"  He sung weakly.

Rudolph shook his head, really confused.

"I? I don't understand?" He admitted.

Stiles stared at him.

"Have you watched any movies? TV shows, music? You had to have listened to music?" Stiles asked.

"Um movies? No. TV shows no? Music yes I've seen the original symphony of-" He stopped seeing Stiles face.

"What?" He asked.

"For our first date, you're going to see the world's best space themed movies!" He said Ike it was final.

"I? Okay?"

That's how it was for the first few days...It was amazing. Stiles was loud, full of laugh and smiles and sarcasm. He was showing him everything about the modern world.

He talked to him about the supernatural cases that he had his friends solve.

He told him everything about his family life, his dad his mom, his friends.

Rudolph copied, telling him all about himself.

Stiles listened, he nodded and asked questions, he seemed really interested in hearing about him.

The next few weeks it was still okay, but Rudolph was getting...nervous.

It was going great, amazing, but he couldn't help but worry.

He looked at houses, college courses, schools for kids, and hospitals...wedding venues.

If this was gonna be his last, then he'll make sure that they get the best of the best.

He looked through papers when his love came.

"Hey!" He said not even knocking as he walked into his office.

"Yes Mieczyslaw." He says like always.

"I told you how I like to be called Stiles? So why are you calling me Mieczyslaw?" He asked looking around his office again when he saw his desk and papers.

"Mieczyslaw is your name. Your given name, it's... beautiful, it's you. Everyone calls you Stiles, but no one calls you Mieczyslaw." He says.

Stiles looked to him and smiled.

"Okay. That's kind of, really cute. Now what are you working on-"

"Nothing love, just paper work." He said trying to put them in a drawer when Stiles grabbed one.

He picked it up and saw the elementary school paper work.

"What is this? Have kids that I don't know about? Are you pregnant." He teased but it only took a second to see what this was.

"Are you. Your planning my leave?" Stiles asked upset.

"Yes."

Stiles stared at him, he didn't shout, he didn't scream, he just grabbed all of the papers and tore them in half.

One after another, the wedding venues, the prenatal hospital visits, schooling for kids and himself, houses.

He tore them all and tossed the pieces into the fireplace.

"Don't. Don't do that again. I get it, you're waiting for me to leave, to say that I love someone else.

I don't, I love you so fucking much. I love you, I love you, I love you." He said going to his lap, and cupping his cheeks.

"I don't blame you, I know you're probably scared and stuff, but please don't make up plans that won't happen." Stiles said leaning in and kissing him.

Rudolph kissed him back, his hands on his hips, pulling him closer to himself, kissing him deeper.

"Your stuck with me Vampy. Your stuck with me forever." Stiles said kissing his cheek and down to his neck.

"I love you. I love you. I. Love. You." He said kissing him.

He sat there on his lap, and looked to his boyfriend.

Rudolph squeezed his waist, and stared at him.

He moved the chair and opened the drawer, he took out a small vial and gave it to him.

"What's this?" He asked.

"The only thing that could end my suffering." Stiles looked to him.

Stiles held it tighter.

"You were gonna..."

"I was. Your my last Mate, I...I just couldn't handle it anymore. But if your so sure, either throw it in that fireplace, or put it in my morning cup."

Stiles got up and without thinking, he threw it in the fireplace.

A dark purple smoke appeared and Stiles went back to his lap and sat there.

Rudolph stared at him and nodded.

He kissed his lips, then forehead, then he went to his cheeks, and neck.

Stiles laughed and let him be covered in kisses and hugs.

"I promise I won't ever leave you Rudy."

"I know that now Mieczyslaw. I know."

It's time for Halloween in Springville once again...

Chapter Text

There was this legend, a warning in the town of Springville.

The town was decent, kids will run around and play after dark.

Doors would be unlocked, with no fear of anything happening.

But when October rolled around, that's when the town changes.

On October 31st, on Halloween.

There's a saying, a knowing to all that live there.
Leave candy out for the Candyman.

It's a silly rule some would say, but those that know, agree.

No one knew who the Candyman was.

Some say it's just a legend, a silly horror story to scare kids.

Others say that it's a man who brutalized the fun Holiday.

But no one really knew.

"Ahah!

"Trick or Treat!"

"Oh what adorable costumes, so scary."

It always started the same, kids trick or treating, teens throwing eggs at houses and cars, others tping the trees.

"Hey let's go to that house they always give out king size candy bars!" A boy wearing a superhero custom said.

Him and his group immediately cheered and ran to the house.

Knock. Knock. Knock.

"Oh!"

"Trick or treat!" They all shouted.

"Whoa! Halloween already!" The older man teased.

"Yep!" The kid shouted, huge smiles and eagerly holding out their bags.

"Oh how could I forget? I guess I'll have to give ya-"

"King size candy bars!" They all shouted excitedly.

They all cheered thanked him and ran to the middle of the road to talk about where to go to next.

Then the night slows down, kids, teens, and tired parents are going home, and undressing.

"Aw man! Why can't Halloween last longer." The kids would whine as they get out of their costumes.

"Oh sweetie if Halloween lasts any longer then what about the other Holidays?"

"Eh."

"Haha!"

"Hehe!"

Some sneak candy in there beds. Some pass out right away really tired.

And the parents and guardians will stand there in a slight panic.

They learned right away that locking doors or boarding up windows doesn't stop anything.

Protecting yourself was out of the question, the only thing that can help you, truly protect you...was to give him a piece of candy.

Most would leave candy on the door step.

Others would have some ready on the side table by the door and hope that he doesn't knock-

Knock.

Knock.

Knock.

The women stood there, she whimpered staring at the door.

Knock.

Knock.

Knock.

She cried and slowly walked to the door, her hands shaking.

She looked out the peek hole and there she saw a tall man.

A strange mask on his face, dark clothes, lean frame.

She stared at him, and when he looked to the hole she jumped back and covered her mouth.

She grabbed the candy bar and slowly moved her hand to the door knob.

She bit her bottom lip, opened the door slowly, and shyly looked up at him.

He stood there before he held out an empty bag.

She nodded and shakenly gave him the candy bar. But instead of leaving, he just stood there.

"Is...Is it not enough?" She asked.

He only stood there.

She held her breath, her heart was beating like a drum, her forehead was wet with sweat. Her eyes staring at his mask, it was a skeleton, but was it always?

Wasn't it something else? Or is that her terrified mind imagining things?

"Mommy? Is everything okay?" Her son asked.

She jumped and turned to him, he was wearing pajamas and had a plush toy dinosaur held tightly in his arms. She quickly looked back to the doorway, only to see it empty.

They were okay...

"Yeah...Yeah we're okay." She said closing and locking the door.

Most gave candy...

Some...think that this tradition, this legend was nothing but a hoax.

Knock.

Knock.

Knock.

The man groaned, he went to his door, seeing the taller man.

"What!?" He shouted.

That's when he saw his outfit. His mask, his bag.

"Pfft. Your too old for Halloween. Try buying your own candy!" He said shutting the door in his face and went to leave when he heard the knocking again.

"Leave before I grab my gun!" He shouted.

Knock...Knock....Knock....

He growled and stomped away grabbing his gun, he went to the front door. He opened the door and saw nothing.

He looked around and scoffed but what he saw on his door step was a Halloween mask.

He only closed his door and turned around when he saw a figure at the end of his hallway.

"What the!" He lifted his gun and shot it but when he looked he saw nothing.

"You better show yourself!" He shouted holding the gun tightly, but his hands were shaking.

The lights flickered and suddenly turned off.

He flinched and went to the switches and tried to turn them on but nothing.

He screamed when he felt sudden pain in his arm.

He grabbed it and felt sticky carmel and chocolate. He pulled it out and saw that it was a candy bar with a razor blade in it.

"What the hell!" He shouted looking around when he felt another one between his shoulder blades. He yelled and turned around seeing nothing.

He limped to his kitchen, trying to get to his phone when he saw a black clawed hand coming up from behind the island table. It's nails scratching the table as he grabbed his phone, and the hand quickly moved away.

The man shuddered, his eyes looking around but there was no other phone in the house.

So instead he backed away to go to the front door.

His bloody hand grabbed the door knob, but it didn't open.

He banged on it and screamed for help but that's when he felt the third slash on his ankles.

He fell down and turned around on the dark house, his back to the door.

"Stop! Stop it!" He shouted.

He was crying, he had snot running down his nose and sticky tears are running down his cheeks.

"Stop it! Just tell me what the hell do you want!?" He shouted.

There was no response, instead the lights flickered, and little pattering was heard.

He looked around.

Left.

Right.

Kitchen.

Hall.

Windows.

The pattering was getting more consistent, the sound seemed to be everywhere, the walls, the ceiling.

But then suddenly it all stopped.

The pattering.

The lights flickering.

He slowly stood up, he looked around his now lit house, the kitchen, the hallway.

He turned around and around, not seeing anything.

He relaxed, he laughed softly before it turned louder and more crazy.

"You stupid mother-Gah!"

He stood there before he turned around seeing a tall dark clothed figure.

His eyes were dark and glaring harshly at him.

His head tilted to the side, as he took the candy out of his lower back and shoved it in his mouth.

The sharp candy went down his throat, cutting it up, slicing his throat causing blood to start pouring out. Between his lips, out of his nose.

He screamed and tried to stop it but it was too late.

His body fell down in a bloody mess, he took back his candy dagger from his shoulder blades and left the house.

"Did he not give candy to the Candyman Mama?"

"No he didn't." The mom said closing the blinds and taking her son back to bed.

"Hi Candy!" A sweet child's voice said, seeing him coming from the dark woods.

Candy looked to the little girl, pink dress, a red liquid trailing from her head. Sally.

He bent down and she went to him.

"This Halloween was so fun! There was so many kids and cool costumes!" She squealed.

He let her ramble, he let her tell him all about the house's decorations, the pranks she saw others play.

"It was all so cool!" She said giggling.

"Do you have fun?" Sally asked, her head tilted to the side.

He nodded.

"I'm glad. The others are already eating dinner." She said grabbing his hand once he stood up.

He followed her and took out a candy bar, he gave it to her.

She gasped.

"Thank you so so much! It's my favorite!" The child ghost said hugging the candy bar and holding his hand tighter.

He said nothing, not in disinterest, or hate of the girl, he just doesn't talk. But the little girl never minded, instead she talked enough for the both of them.

Especially when he plays with her, dolls, brushes her hair, dress up, or when he gives her candy.

"You're the best Candy." Sally said after laying down in her pink bed.

He patted her head and went to his own room.

Halloween was definitely a good Holiday.

During a raid to a villain's hideout, pro hero Erasurehead found an interesting kid...

Chapter Text

Shouta Aizawa, pro hero Erasurehead, was with the other heros. He waited for the sign, he waited for the go ahead.

They were about to a raid a villains hideout. They've been watching the for weeks, and now? Now they had the best chance to get the drop of them and hopefully take them down for good.

He looked to the side seeing the officers getting ready.

And when he got the go ahead, he and the others rushed forward.

The fighting was immediate, quirks were being used, sounds of shouting, screaming and grunting.

He was with them, canceling out quirks and beating them up.

But suddenly there was this high pitch whistle.

He looked around and watched as a dark figure came down from the banisters that holds the ceiling and attacked the heros.

He was gonna help when he got attacked from other villains.

Meanwhile that dark figure attacked and attacked, he scratched them with his sharp nails. He leaped around, his huge dark wings propelling him forward.

When the hero looked around for him he was gone. He didn't see him anywhere.

But he certainly did.

He crawled on all fours on the banister, looking down at them all.

The villains getting beaten, his handler...

When he heard that familiar high pitch tone, he looked to him and saw a hero getting the upper hand.

He glided down, his wings spread as he landed on him. Digging his nails in him, wrapping his tail around his leg and cutting it. Deep.

He growled and crouched down, his eyes flickering around them, his eyes flashed as he blinked them.

Red. Blue. White. Green.

Heros.

Heros.

Heros.

Whistle.

He growled and ran forward, he was aimed at a hero with yellow goggles on. He held his scarf and tossed it at him.

He dodged and instead targeted another hero, he dodged their attacks, he growled loudly, scratched them when he could.

The poison in his nails working quickly.

Before he could attack again it all went dark.

He growled and shook his head, he roared and chirped and touched his eyes.

He tried to fly but he found his wings useless.

Still he heard them coming, so he ran, he tripped and slipped, but he still ran and tried to get to get outside but he failed.

A fabric was wrapped around him.

He screeched and roared.

And click.

The quirk nullifying handcuffs were on his wrist.

Erasurehead was getting checked on when he saw the strange boy. Kid. He was just a kid.

He tried to not feel anything, he tried to just let it go. It's over. They saved people, they arrested the villains. The day was a success.

But there's this question.

Was this boy a villain? Or a victim too?

That's how he found himself here at the station.

"Who is he?" He outright asked.

The lead detective looked to him.

"I'm guessing your asking about the boy?" He said taking out a file.

"He's not a traditional villain is he?" Erasurehead asked.

"No...It was obvious that he was a Nomu, but uh, not this bad." He gave him the file.

"Unlike the other Nomu's, he isn't thoughtless, he moved around and growled when asked questions.
He hasn't said anything, we first thought that he either can't or won't.

But then we got his file." He said pointing to it.

Erasurehead opened it and he paled.

"He's been experimented on. Heavily.

Those wings, his hands and feet, that tail-"

"Is any of this originally his? Do we know who he was?" He cut him off.

"We managed to separate the DNA. Hikaru Aio, he went missing 8 years ago, he was 8 at the time." He said.

"So he's 16 now?" He stated.

He nodded.

"This kid has...Been through a lot, I honestly don't know what to do with him.

Locking him up just doesn't seem right? He didn't want this, he couldn't fight it."

"Why do you say that?" Erasurehead asked.

"Oh we looked into the whistle that everyone heard, it's a dog whistle yes. But it's also a painful trigger to the kid, you blow, and a painful frequency was emitted." He explained.

"Sounds like he doesn't have a choice."

Erasurehead stood there looking to the kid. He looked his way once he realized that he was there.

He growled and stood up, pulling on his cuffed hands.

"Easy now. I'm just here to talk." He said looking at the altered kid.

He doesn't look like how he used to, his appearance was so altered, his ears pointed, his wings, tail, even his skin tone.

"I'm pro hero Erasurehead, Aizawa Shouta. Do you know your name?" He asked.

He growled.

"Do you remember Hikaru Aio?" He tried.

No response, not even a look of realization.

He nodded and opened the file again.

The boy stood there, his ears trying to pick up all of the sounds, but it's weird, he can't hear as much as he could.

He can't see anything.

He can't fly, and he can barely move his tail.

He tried to move his hands-

"You were taken when you were 8 years old. After school, on your way home.

You were given quirks that aren't you own, experimented on physically and mentally." He said.

The boy only crouched there on the ground.

"You never had wings. You don't have a tail, your hands and feet aren't even your own.

This isn't your fault, all of things that you did or have done aren't your fault." He said he came forward and he heard the door unlock.

"I'll personally help you. We'll contact your family, we'll get you someone to talk to and work on your trauma-"

He growled when he got closer.

Erasurehead stood there before he crouched down himself.

"There's no need to fight or be angry."

It wasn't what he necessarily said, it was how he said it.

Nice, soft, comforting, real...

He growled lowly and sat down.

"Do you remember anything?" He asked.

He didn't answer, he looked around and brought his hands up to his eyes. Rubbing, blinking, shaking his head, growling.

Erasurehead looked to his wrist and knew that he might get in trouble. Call him crazy or whatever.

He grabbed the keys and went to him.

"You attack and you'll get in more trouble. I'm putting my faith and trust in you." He said sternly.

The boy looked to him he tilted his head and shoved his hands at him.

He unlocked them and soon he watched as his dull light brown eyes turned brighter, he blinked and they actually turned colors.

Blue, green, white orange, red.

"What?" He mumbled.

He looked to him and crawled to him. He tilted his head, his ears swiveling, his nose twitching.

"I-" Erasurehead turned his head but he quickly grabbed his face and turned it to face him.

He heard scrambling from the officers.

"Erasurehead do you need help!"

He was about to reprimand him when he saw his eyes again.

Blink blue.

Blink white.

Blink green.

Each time his eyes searched for something but found nothing. Or something, he wasn't sure.

When he was satisfied he let him go and moved around his cell.

He jumped on the bed causing his nails to cut the pillow.

Erasurehead still sat there, he touched his face but he wasn't hurt.

A bit sore but no pain.

He stood up slowly and watched as he sat on the bed and looked to him.

"Grr?" He only said, growled.

It wasn't threatening, it was soft, but hesitant, questioning.

Erasurehead looked to him watching as he hopped off the bed and went under it. He laid there and sneezed as he nestled there and looked to be falling asleep.

"Erasurehead?" The detective asked.

"I think I know what to do with him." He only said, taking out his phone to call a certain tiny mouse/bear....thing.

Aizawa with Principle Nezu's help, decided to bring the boy into the school. But what they found out was something that surprised them all.

Chapter Text

The boy sat in the back seat of the car. He pulled at the seatbelt, before getting bored, and crawled around the seats, his nails slightly digging into the soft leather.

"Stop crawling around, your supposed to be wearing a seatbelt."

"Rah." He only said.

And went to the window, where he saw lots of colors...He blinked his eyes, going from color to color.

His chest rumbled, as he touched the button and flinched as the window rolled down.

He hit the button again and the window rolled up.
He hit it again and the window rolled down.

Up. Down. Up. Down. Up. Down.

"That's a window." Aizawa said.

The boy made a trilling sound, and let the window roll down, he sat here, before he sat up and stuck his head out. It felt like flying, a bit different but the rushing wind, and his hair being thrown around reminded him of flying.

When the car slowed, so did the wind.

He growled in anger and looked to the dark haired man.

"Don't get huffy, we're here." He said leaving the car and opening his door for him. Of course he forgot to roll up the window.

He sighed, but decided to deal with that later.

The boy hopped out of the car, and crawled on all fours, he hopped on the car and looked around.

Aizawa sighs but didn't stop him. Instead he looked to the dorm rooms. Where the kids were.

"Come on kid, you have to meet the other students." He said.

The boy looked to him, and growled a little.

"Remember what we talked about? You can't hurt them, and they won't hurt you." He said softly.

The boy hummed down but didn't go towards the building, instead he stood there, mostly crouched.

"Come on kiddo. It'll all be okay." He said softly.

The boy looked to him and followed him, all the way till he got inside, he looked around. Hearing so many voices, smelling so many scents, he growled lowly and flew up to the ceiling.

He found a ledge and sat there, watching as the tired man talked with some kids.

"Get the others and bring them down here. I have an important announcement to make." Aizawa said telling Iida who willingly grabbed all of the students.

"What's going on?"

"Is it villains?"

"You'll all find out soon." He looked around and that's when he saw the missing boy.

"Oh for-" He looked around till he looked up seeing him perched on the ledge.

Why do the even have that here?

When all of the students arrived most were curious, some, one student really, was annoyed.

"Alright, great now that we're all here..." He glanced to the ledge the boy only sat there, he looked to the crowd of students and growled.

"Come down kid. Meet your new friends or whatever." He said

"Uh Aizawa who are you-"

The boy growled and glided down, he landed behind Aizawa and wrapped his tail around him. Not to harm him, but to hold him. Like how a child will cling onto you when scared.

He growled, his sharp teeth barred.

"Kid." Aizawa warned.

He looked up at him and growled lower, but didn't do anything else.

"A few days ago we infiltrated a villain hideout, there we found Nomu's and him." He said.

All of the students looked to him.

"As you can see he's been given multiple body modifications, the heros and Nezu think it's best if he stays here so what we can properly help him.

Which means you'll be seeing him quite a bit." Aizawa said watching their reactions.

"Won't he attack us?" Tsu asked.

The boy who was listening looked around them,  he came forward, crawling towards them on all four till he got to a girl.

She stood there sweating like crazy.

"Um."

He stood up and grabbed her face.

"Hey-"

"Don't." Aizawa said before anyone can interfere.

"Aizawa Sensei? He's going to hurt Uraraka!"

"No he won't."

He watched as he stared into her eyes, his own flashing different colors. When he was done, he let her go and looked to the next student.

"Just let him look at you. He won't hurt any of you." Aizawa said watching as he goes to Todoroki.

"Is he looking for-at something?" Kirishima asked.

"We're not sure."

He grabbed his face and tilted his head. He looked at his blue eye then his brown. He looked at them and tried to touch it.

"Don't kid. You'll hurt him."

"Rah?" He looked to Aizawa then to the boy.

He flashed his blue eyes which soon turned green.

When he was done, he stared at him and then went to the next student.

Some, he had no reaction, but others, like Todoroki and Hakgaure, who was invisible, he was shocked, or interested.

But it all changed when he got to a certain green haired hero in training.

He much like the others, went up to him, he was  shaking a bit in nerves, but he didn't stop him when he grabbed his face.

He let him, he looked to him and soon there this look, this expression that overcame him. His hold on his face softened, he made a low trilling sound as he leaned in more.

"Um..." Midoriya said.

He looked to his eyes, and he could have sworn that he was frozen in place.

He watched as his once red eyes turned blue, then green, then white, then a familiar brown.

"Aio?" Midoriya asked.

"What did you say?" Aizawa asked shocked.

Even a pissed off Bakugou looked to him.

Midoriya teared up and moved away.

He growled and grabbed his neck.

But he wasn't afraid.

"Kid!" Aizawa said coming forward.

But Midoriya hesitantly lifted his hand to his face, he didn't grab it he just held it.

"Topaz."

Bakugou physically reacted to that.

"Bullshit!" He yelled marching forward and looking to the altered boy.

He growled at him and moved Midoriya behind him.

He screeched loudly, as more talking and shouting occurred.

Midoriya was begging for him to calm down, Aizawa was trying to calm the others.

Bakugou was screaming that this can't be happening and what he said next froze them all.

"He's dead Deku! Don't you understand he is dead!" He shouted.

Midoriya stood there, he looked to the ground before he looked to the unnamed boy.

His tail was wrapped around him, his wings open and his nails digging into the ground.

"He's dead...You and I know that." Bakugou said venomously, but he was also sad...

They were only friends because of him...He was able to ease Bakugou's anger and help Midoriya with his meekness.

He was literally the glue for them both, that's why when he left, when he disappeared, it broke them both.

Bakugou gave in to his anger and Midoriya got more depressed.

"Midoriya. Bakugou?." Aizawa said.

"Do you know him?" Aizawa said knowing that whats about to be said will potentially break them both.

"I recognize his quirk, it's an analytical type, he can see everything about you by his eyes...Each color sees something else..." Midoriya said crouching down to his height.

He looked to him, he growled, his eyes flashing red.

"Topaz...We we called each other by our eye color." He continued.

"He had brown eyes, like...He called me Emerald and Kachann-"

"Ruby." Bakugou surprisingly finished, his arms crossed over his chest.

"It's not him Deku-"

"Look at him! Let him look at you-"

"Fuck that!"

"Just do it Kachann!" Midoriya yelled.

Bakugou stood there.

"This! This is our friend...This is our best friend. He isn't dead, he's right here." Midoriya cried.

The boy looked up at him and lifted himself.

He slowly moved on two legs towards him.

He grabbed his hand that was harshly wiping his eyes.

He looked to it seeing his scars and calluses, his sharp nail was gentle as he touched his skin.

"Ffff." He said.

Midoriya looked to him.

"Wh-what?" He asked trying to calm down.

"Ffffrr. Ffffrr." He said, he growled and looked to him.

"Fr...ennnn..d."

Midoriya smiled and nodded.

"Yes! Yes yes we're friends!" He said holding his hands.

"Fry...inds. fryinds!" He slurred.

Midoriya nodded each time.

"Yeah Topaz."

"We do have his DNA." Aizawa finally spoke up.

They both looked to him.

"Really? Even with all of...?" Midoriya asked.

"Yes. His name is Hikaru Aio."

Bakugou closed his eyes, his fist clenched, his mind whirling.

Midoriya was happy...He looks to Aio who stood there, still holding his hand and looking around them.

"Your home Aio."

He looked to him.

Home? He likes the sound of that.

Tyler Quinn a young, male, high-schooler, but also a superhero in disguise. How will he react when he finds two other hidden superheroes?

Chapter Text

Tyler landed on the ground, he stood there and smiled at the view. Paris at night was something...

He can just barely see some Halloween decorations peeking out.

Pumpkins and jack 'o lantern, white sheets that looked like ghosts, Halloween in Paris? What's that gonna be like?

"Hey."

He turned around and saw a boy, maybe around his age in a dark costume like him.

"Hey? So you also have a Kwami?" Tyler guessed.

"Yep! You have one too it seems. I'm Cat Noir, what's your name handsome?" He asked leaning against a chimney and twirling his tail.

"I'm...Batman."

He stopped his tail twirling before he laughed.

"Alright. Batman." He purred.

Tyler stood there and looked back to the view.

"So Paris is in trouble and we have to save it?" He asked.

"Yep. Hawkmoth." He said standing next to him.

"I have a partner, Ladybug, we should all meet up." Cat Noir said.

"Well then let's meet up."

Ladybug was suspicious at first, but she seemed nice. They all talked, and nothing was said about who they were.

Nothing personal, it was odd, in his opinion, if they were to get in trouble they could easily call for each other.

But he won't force them. If they want to remain a secret then they will be.

Once they said their goodbyes Tyler swung into his room and detransformed.

"Well that was something." Dracula his bat Kwami said flying around his room.

"Yep it certainly was." Tyler said getting something red to feed him.

Strawberries and cherries. He sat them bundle on a plate and let him choose which one he wanted.

He fell on his bed and laughed, he just outright laughed and he couldn't stop.

"What's so funny?" Dracula asked.

"I don't know Drac everything?" He said sitting up and looking at him.

"Everything." He said again.

Fighting alongside them was easy, they had great ideas, they worked well beside each other. It was like the three of them have always worked together.

Batman used his tools, he helped when they got knocked down, and when they got the little Akuma the day was saved and the city was restored.

"You fight pretty good, have you done this before?" Cat Noir asked.

"Nope. Well unless video games count?"

"Sure." Cat Noir said.

They separated once again, but not all of them.

"So..." Cat Noir said randomly.

Tyler looked to him.

"So?" He asked.

Cat Noir looked at him, before he shook his head.

"Nothing. Nevermind."

"Well that's a lie but whatever I'll see you tomorrow. I don't want to be too tired for my first day of school tomorrow." He laughed and waved his clawed hand at him good bye.

Tyler walked in the school, his book case on his side, his bracelet sitting firmly on his wrist.

He looked around the crowd of students, and saw more Halloween decorations. More ghost and ghouls, wolves and vampires, and yes pumpkins, his favorite.

After he was done looking at things, he went to his classroom late.

"Ah there you are!" His teacher said warmly.

"Class this is our new student. Tyler Quinn." She said.

"Hey. I'm Tyler, and I moved here a few days ago." He said casually.

He heard a series of hi's and hello's.

"Tyler why don't you sit next to...Ah Adrien!" She said.

Adrien held up his hand.

He went to him, and sat down.

"Adrien." He said warmly, totally opposite of the chilly air.

"Tyler." He nodded giving him a kind smile.

Class was class, they wrote things, they asked questions and answered some. They wrote assignments, they wrote homework stuff.

It was class, school.

Lunchtime came and Tyler sat on a bench, he had a pumpkin spiced bread in his one hand, and held a pencil in his other as he wrote on a piece of paper.

"Hey! Uh want company?" Adrien said with another student.

"Sure." He said putting his notebooks away and took another bite of his pumpkin bread.

"Nino." Said the other student, waving casually.

"Hey." Tyler acknowledged.

"Are you eating bread for lunch?" Adrien asked seeing it.

"Pumpkin bread." Tyler said like that changed things.

The three of them talked, it was nice, causal, and friendly.

The rest of school day was pretty good. And when it was time to leave-

"Hey we should hang out! It's been nice hanging out with ya man." Nino said.

Before Adrien can say anything Tyler did.

"I'll like to but I got a thing tonight, but we should definitely hang out." Tyler said waving at them.

"Tyler! I got a late shift-"

"I'll see ya later. I'll eat dinner, I'll keep the doors locked and I love you." Tyler rehearsed.

His older sister looked to him.

"Okay. Wyatt should be home soon but he works-"

"Long hours that aren't consistent, so don't wait up. You'll both text me when either of you are on your way home." Tyler rehearsed again.

Myra looked at him and lightly shoved him, but nodded.

"Yes exactly." She kissed his forehead.

"Hospital during October brings out all of the crazies." She sighed and left.

Once they were alone Dracula flew out from where he was hiding.

"Your sister is nice, and I'm hungry." He said going to his fridge.

Tyler opened it, and let him eat.

"Yeah she is. Ready for some patrol?" Tyler asked after he ate a whole plate of redness.

"Yep I sure am."

Out on patrol, it was fine, the three of them met up, talked a little, then they separated to look around. It was all good, till it wasn't.

An akumatized villain appeared, Tyler called for the others, but in the meantime he will deal with them.

He took out a boomerang and threw it harshly, it hit their head while coming back to him.

He growled and ran at him, Tyler dodged attacks and ran around thinking up plans and tricks to use against him.

"I will-"

Tyler quickly used his power up, three baterangs (boomerangs) flew up from his belt and hit him in painful places.

Once he fell on the floor, he tied him up and waited.

"Batman!" Cat Noir said.

"Hey Catty, where's the lady in red?" He asked.

"She's further away...And you handled the villain all on your own." Cat Noir said impressed.

"Yep." He looked around seeing the slowly appearing Halloween decorations.

"Man I could really go for some pumpkin bread..." He sighed, sad that he didn't think of bringing any.

"Pumpkin bread? You actually-" Cat Noir looked at him.

"Hey! It's pumpkin bread! The best kind of bread." Tyler defended.

Cat Noir looked at him, his mouth open.

"What's up? Are you that shocked-"

"Your Tyler Quinn." He said without thinking.

Tyler looked at him before he shrugged.

"Yep."

Cat Noir stared at him about to say something when Ladybug arrived and took care of the Akuma.

"Thanks Ladybug." Tyler said waving at her, the same way as Tyler, slow, casual, but still friendly.

"Thank you for handling him till I get here- Oh your time is almost up you might want to get somewhere safe." She said seeing him bracelet.

"Ah yeah. I'll see you guys tomorrow or something?" He said leaving.

Cat Noir stood there before he followed him.

"Uh I'm gonna go get something." He said running.

"Batman! Batman-" Cat Noir shouted but stopped seeing him detransform without will.

Batman/Tyler though turned to him without issue.

"Yeah?" He said causally like his secret identity wasn't just revealed.

Cat Noir stood there before he walked to him.

"You weren't so subtle about who you are?" He teased.

"Or maybe you're just really perspective?" He teased back, he looked to his Kwami.

Cat Noir stood there, he was really glad to have someone else...Someone to talk to, to call in the middle of the night in worry. If he'll let him.

"Plagg detransform." He said.

Tyler looked to him, and saw a familiar blond haired boy.

"Oh wow. I guess Paris is really small." Tyler joked laughing.

"Yeah." Adrien said scratching the back of his neck.

"Your Nino right?" Tyler asked.

Adrien looked to him.

Tyler busted out laughing, he was cackling and holding his stomach.

"Adrien. Your name is Adrien. And I know that."

Adrien laughed too and looked to him.

"Thanks...For being obvious."

Tyler looked to him.

"I really needed someone. You know, someone who knows both of my lives. Ladybug doesn't want that, I asked and she said how it could get used against us." Adrien said.

"Maybe. But in my opinion? It does more good than harm in knowing. Plus I really don't care!" Tyler admitted.

Adrien was glad...

"Do you mind if...We talk?"

"Not at all. Now come on I really want-"

"Pumpkin bread." Adrien said already filing that in his favorite snacks.

Once they got their snacks, they walked to a nearby park and Adrien looked to him.

"So..?" Adrien said, he looked to the pumpkin and ghost shaped balloons that are being sold.

"A Halloween party is gonna happen soon. And I think I can make it...Wanna um, you know wanna...wanna?"

Tyler looked to him before he smiled.

"Yeah. I'll come. Just send me the address and I'll be there." Tyler said handing him his phone.

Adrien nodded and gave him his contact info.

"I'll see you around kitty." Tyler said seeing that it's getting dark.

"Yeah see ya." Adrien said really happy to have a friend like him.

"Wow so your dad's pretty strict huh?" Tyler said as he and Adrien were sitting on a pole of the infamous tower.

"Yeah he is. But luckily I've managed to get away from time to time." Adrien said.

"Oh sneaky cat are you?" Tyler smirked.

"Yep that's me."

They both sat there, taking in the view, the chilly air, the creepy feeling that's slowly coming up to them.

"You haven't said anything about your family?" Adrien noted.

"No. No I haven't. It's just my sister and brother in law. Though if I'm being honest its mostly just me. They both work long crazy hours and I'm left alone in all of that...

My parents died a bit ago. Car crash, nothing that could have been avoided. Or so I've been told." Tyler said kicking his legs as he looked to him.

"Myra and her husband took me in."

"I'm sorry about your parents."

"I'm sorry about your mom and crazy dad."

Adrien laughed but at that.

It was silent before Adrien spoke up again.

"So what are you gonna dress up as?" Adrien asked.

"Dress up? Really for a party-"

"For a Halloween party." Adrien empathized.

"Right." Tyler said smiling and looking around the city.

"I have an idea if your willing?" Adrien said.

"Go on." Tyler said.

"We could...use our Kwami's but!" He said quickly.

"We can switch them, I'll have Dracula and you can have Plagg? That way no one will find out?" Adrien offered.

"Will the Kwami's let that happen? Aren't they like bonded to us?" Tyler asked looking to his bracelet.

"Actually no...But we should still ask them, and if they don't want to, we'll think of something else." Adrien said.

"Alright!" Tyler looked around and got on the platform.

"Dracula, detransform!" Dracula flew around and floated in front of him, as Plagg and Adrien did the same.

"Hey Dracula. Hey Plagg." Tyler said nicely.

"Heya Tyler." Plagg said flying to him and hugging his cheek then going to Dracula.

Dracula looked to him, he smiled and floated around him happily.

"We were wondering something." Adrien spoke up.

They both looked to them.

"We were hoping we could switch Kwami's for a Halloween party? That way no one will know who we are.

You can obviously say no and we won't bring this up ever again." Tyler spoke up trying to explain that it was both of their decisions.

They both looked to each other.

"You both want to use and switch Kwami's, for a Halloween party?" Plagg asked.

"Well-"

"That sounds like fun! What do ya think Dracula!?" Plagg asked look into him.

Dracula looked to Tyler and Adrien and nodded, agreeing.

"Sure why not." He shrugged.

Tyler took off his bracelet and Adrien took off his ring.

Tyler put the bracelet on his wrist, and Adrien turned pink but did the same to him. And put the ring on his finger, but instead of moving his hand from him, he lingered.

He didn't mean to, but he didn't hate feeling his hand in his. He didn't want to pull away he wanted to hold it...for a long long time.

And Tyler? He didn't mind.

"Okay Plagg. Are you ready?" Tyler asked the flying black cat.

"Yep! How are we going? Casual? Skimpy?  Sexy?" Plagg actually asked.

Tyler looked to the cat.

"Can you actually do all of that?" Tyler asked shocked but really tempted.

"I can~" Plagg went to his ring and yeah he did...

Instead of a whole suit it was a leather tank top crop top, with matching black leather skimpy shorts. He still had the tall boots, tail, ears and leather gloves and mask.

He looked to himself in the mirror and laughed but he wasn't hating it. He turned around, he struck poses and yeah he fangirled a little bit.

"Plagg you are a true fashion icon." Tyler said looking to his ring.

When he got to the house, one it was huge, like 'Wow I think I'm in the wrong place' huge.

He looked around the front and saw Batman, he went up to him and covered Adrien's face.

"How are ya handsome?" Tyler purred.

He turned around and his eyes widen.

"Whoa..." Adrien said breathless.

"Like it?" He asked bending his leg.

Adrien without thinking nodded.

"Yeah yeah you look good." He said swallowing.

"You look good too, you should wear capes more often." Tyler purred he ran a hand down his chest.

He wasn't ever this bold while flirting, hell he barely flirts. But now? Now he feels really really confident.

Adrien smiled.

"Yeah?" He asked.

"Yeah...should we go in? I hear a good song playing?" Tyler teased dropping his hand and swaying his hips as he walked in.

Adrien followed him soon after, he found him in the huge dinning/living room like area. He was swaying his hips sensually, his tail somehow made it more so.

There were others around but somehow he didn't notice them.

The other ghosts, or vampires or witches, he doesn't even know who else was there, or what they were dressed as. His eyes was just solely on him.

Adrien came closer and Tyler winked at him, he joined him, but it wasn't as loose or sexual like his.

Tyler wrapped his hands around his neck and smirked up at him.

"Calm down." Tyler whispered in his ear.

He threaded his clawed fingers in his now dark blond hair, he moved his front against his.

"Slow down...and just feel the music." Tyler whispered and kissed the shell of his ear.

Adrien smiled and followed him, he slowed his movements, and moved his hands to his hips, he leaned down.

"Is this just for tonight?" Adrien asked.

Tyler looked up at him with glowing green eyes. He misses his natural blue ones but he does look good in green to.

"Hehe. Why? Worried?" Tyler giggled.

"I'm just curious." Adrien said.

If this is just for a night? He'll make it last.
If this is the beginning of something special... He'll be over the moon.

Tyler leaned in closer.

"The best thing about Halloween parties? No one will know anything...You can be anyone, do anything~" His hands went to his front.

"So this is just for tonight?" Adrien asked.

Tyler giggled.

"If you want something after? Come and get it." Tyler said.

"But tonight? It's me who wants this." Tyler said leaning up and kissing him.

Adrien froze before he kissed him back, it was sloppy, but it turned into something more. Tyler kissed him deeply, licking at his bottom lip and Adrien surprised, opened his mouth. Which allowed Tyler to shove his tongue in.

Adrien kissed him back, following Tyler's lead, his hands followed Tyler's and roamed over his body.

His clear, soft, pale skin.

Tyler pulled away and smirked.

"Damn...That was."

"Really good." Adrien agreed and leaned in to kiss him again.

"Yo has anyone seen Adrien!" Nino shouted.

Adrien looked to Nino who was wearing a ninja costume.

Then he looked back to Tyler.

"Let's go somewhere...You and me." Adrien asked.

"I like the sound of that." Tyler purred and grabbed his hand and pulled him up a flight of stairs walking under a fake spider web.

He pushed away pumpkin balloons and dark colored streamers, he went to a door, peeked in the room, and pulled him in.

Adrien looked around seeing that it's a guest office or something. A table two chairs and a mini table.

It wasn't ideal but it was away from people...just the two of them.

Tyler looked around the room, touching the chair, his nails running alongside the table.

Adrien stepped closer but Tyler teasingly moved away.

Adrien stood there before he tried to get closer again, Tyler once again moved around the table.

Adrien laughed and ran, Tyler moved away and when he got closer he jumped over the table. Adrien followed and they landed on top of the table.

They both laughed and laid there.

Adrien hovered above him, Tyler under, his hair messed up, his leg lifted slightly. Causing their fronts to be really, really close. Tyler leaned up and kissed him, and Adrien? He happily kissed him back.

This kiss was different, it was hot, it was desperate, the kiss wasn't anything like before. Adrien moved from his mouth to his neck.

"Ah~" Tyler moaned.

Adrien pulled away and looked down at him.

"Did I hurt you? I'm so sorry! I was just-"

"Hehe! No! No you didn't!" He laughed laying on the table still.

"No. I'm not hurt."

Adrien sighed in relief, and sat up on the table, Tyler sat up and crawled to him.

He kissed him again, and Adrien kissed him back, his hand on his cheek, his other on his bare skin.

When they separated again, Tyler kissed his lips.

"I'm gonna go get a snack, want something?" He asked.

"Uh sure surprise me." Adrien said still very much on the table.

Adrien sat there, thinking about this, thinking about him, them. It was nice, he was nice kissing him was magical!

He doesn't think he wants this to end...

Next day, everything was back to normal. They have their original Kwami's back, and during school? Everyone talked about the party.

"Yo Adrien where were ya man! I was looking everywhere for you?" Nino asked.

Adrien didn't answer and instead looked to Tyler. He was laughing and talking with other students.

"Adrien? Is everything okay?" Nino asked his hand going to his shoulder.

Adrien looks to him.

"What?" He asked.

"What's up man? Is everything okay between you and Tyler?" He asked.

"N-yeah? Yeah I'm just..." Adrien sighed and walked to him.

"Tyler. Hey." Adrien said a bit awkwardly.

"Hey." Tyler said like nothing happened yesterday. Like they didn't just have a whole make out session.

Like they weren't touching each other like starved animals. Like they weren't so close to-

That was what they agreed to though...If he wanted more he should tell him, if not...

"I don't want this to end." Adrien said lowly, but desperately.

Tyler smirked, that same sexual smirk that makes his heart beat like he ran a marathon.

"Then it won't Kitty." He winked to him.

"Good...Thank you."

Classroom 3E, it was known as the Monster Classroom. Everyone there was some sort of Monster. Beast. Even the teacher was one.

But according to one student, he wasn't one. Not one at all...

Chapter Text

"Alright class! Time for roll call!" Koro Sensei exclaimed.

He called for students, they all easily answered,  here, here, here.

"Rio Takahashi?"

"Yeah." He mumbled.

Rio held his pen, his head resting on his fist as he drew doodles. Skulls, meaningless scribbles,  trees, dead flowers.

Class went on, English, classic Japanese, math, lunch, history, science, home economics, gym and then home.

That was how it always was...But there was one class that Rio absolutely hated.

Physical Health.

The class was basically a whole thing about Monsters and Beasts.

How to control your beast self, how to use and control your abilities, how to shift, what to eat and not eat.

Rio hated it.

Cause he's not a Beast, not a Monster he has no abilities, he has no monster form, he's not a freak!

He's human.

He's only human...

"Rio." Koro Sensei said seeing him sitting in front of a tree.

He didn't look up from his notebook.

"Hmm." He only said.

"Are you gonna participate? This is important." His yellow tentacle teacher said.

Rio said nothing.

"Rio-"

"Why should I participate in something that doesn't involve me?" He asked.

"That doesn't involve you?" Koro Sensei asked.

"I'm not a monster." He said firmly.

The teacher stood there, his arms waving uncontrollably.

"Not a monster?" He asked again.

Rio continued drawing, his legs crossed, his notebook in his lap, his pen gracing over the page.

"Rio you can only be in this class if-"

Rio stood up and walked past him, going back inside the shitty school building, and pretended to go to the bathroom.

Instead he sat in the hallway.

And he just sat there, watching the sky through the window.

"Skipping class again?" Karma asked, his bright red eyes, well brighter, almost like it was on fire.

Rio said nothing.

"Oh come on now, ignoring me isn't gonna make me go away. I'll just pester you till I get the satisfied reaction that I want." Karma said leaning against the wall and looking at him.

Rio said nothing, looking at the sky.

Karma looked to him and titled his head.

"Oh~" Karma hummed and stepped closer to him.

Rio sighed and stood up, his hands shoved in his pockets.

"Come on Takahashi~ you can't get away from this." Karma said standing in front of him.

"Get away from me Demon." Rio spit out sidestepping him.

"Ooo~ Mean names!" Karma snickered, but before he could continue the class was over.

Physical Health/Gym cause yes they go together, was over and they can go home.

Rio grabbed his book bag, packing up his books, and homework, he was gonna leave when Beastly yellow tentacle teacher appeared.

"Rio mind if we talk quickly?" He asked.

"Yes I do." Rio only said walking past him and going down the huge hill till he got back to town.

When he got home, he froze, he took a deep breath till he got inside the house.

It was quiet, he took off his shoes, and went to go upstairs.

"Back already?" Shiro asked.

He said nothing.

"Pfft, not answering?" He scoffed and took a swig of beer and dropped the bottle on the table with a harsh thud and stood up.

"You think your better or something?" He seethed and grabbed his wrist, hard.

"Your not! Your nothing but a fucking mistake! Mom never should have brought you home! Your nothing but a fucking bastard! A mistake!" He shouted tossing him down the three steps and going to the kitchen to no doubt get another beer.

Rio sat up, the back of his head bleeding, but he didn't feel it. He stood up and went to his small room.

There was barely a bed, a small dresser and an even smaller closet. He sat on the floor and worked on his homework.

He read book passages, he wrote answers, he did math equations and he stayed there...He didn't eat dinner, he didn't leave his room besides for the bathroom.

He stayed there, he put his homework away, he got ready for bed and fell asleep....

Another day, another school day.

During lunch, Rio was outside, sitting under a tree, and he doodled again.

"You sure like being outside huh?" A soft voice said.

Rio ignored it.

"Does it have to do with your monster-"

"I'm not a monster." Rio said venomously.

Nagisa stood there, shocked by his anger.

"Your...? Um that's impossible? You can only be in 3E if your-"

"I'm human. I'm not some freak. I'm not a pathetic monster! I'm not some bastard mistake!" Rio shouted...Shouted.

Nagisa stood there.

"I'm human."

...

It was quiet, Nagisa's scales glittering in the sun, shinning from blue to green. His slitted eyes staring at him, not with anger but pity...

Pity!

He was staring at him like...Like he was worth it!?

Rio huffed, grabbed his notebook about to leave-

"I get it." Nagisa said softly.

"Being a Monster is...There's challenges, people are afraid of you, scared of what you're capable of.

Most monsters turn out bad cause they grew up that way.

They've been told that they're horrible, vicious, not worth living." Nagisa said clenching his fists.

"My Mom was..." He sighs.

"She had her days, she wanted me to be like her,  she was a naga herself, she wanted me to be something and. Well I couldn't.

Karma? His parents don't even pay him any attention. Being a demon is... challengeing. I guess that's why we work well together." Nagisa looked to him.

"We all have similar stories, you would hear them if you participate in Physical Health? It's like a therapy session mixed with self control lessons hehe." Nagisa laughed.

Rio said nothing still.

"Um." He coughed.

"I don't know what you went through, but hiding who you are, it won't solve it or make you human.

You aren't human and that's okay. Maybe if you actually participate in stuff? You'll see that. Whoever it is that's hurting you-"

Rio looked to him.

"There's help-"

Rio shook his head and left, knowing that class is gonna start soon.

He sat down, Koro Sensei came back from where ever he went for lunch.

"Alright class! I thought we can do something fun today!" He said causing the others to get a bit excited.

"I thought we could all shift!"

"Shift? Really?"

"Don't we do that already?"

"Yes yes. But instead for an hour, it'll be for the rest of the school day. In fact we might make this a regular thing-"

Rio sat there, his nails digging into his palm as he focused on his notebook page.

The class cheered and he heard multiple sounds of students shifting already.

He heard wings flapping, tails knocking over chairs or tables, hisses, roars, screech's.

"Rio?" Koro Sensei asked.

"Would you care to join?" He asked waving his tentacle to the shifted students.

"I'm human." He said again.

Koro Sensei sighed.

"Rio we all know that's impossible."

His fist dug into his palm.

"Hiding who you are-"

Rio stood up quickly, causing his chair to screech and fall.

They all stared at him.

"How many times do I have to fucking tell you!? I. Am. Human! Human! Why the hell can't any of you see that!"

"Cause it's impossible?" Karma teased.

Rio looked to him.

Thick dark horns on the top of his head, his red eyes darker but somehow brighter, his fangs pricked out from under his lip.
His nails sharper, his wings folded on his back.

"Rio~ We all know. We keep going in circles though aren't we?" Karma teased his thin tail behind him flickering.

"3E is a class for Monsters and Beasts. Those who aren't human. So how about this? Prove it? Prove that you are a human? If you are then Koro Sensei will take you out of this class.

Won't ya teach?" Karma said.

"If your human. Then yes of course you'll be placed back into a human course." Koro Sensei agreed, not even worried.

"Okay." Rio agreed.

"I'll do it. How?" He asked.

Karma smirked.

"There's only one way~" Karma smirked stepping closer to him.

Rio stood back, not liking this.

"All Monsters and Beasts-" Karma grabbed his wrist seeing him trying to leave.

"Reveal themselves with their eyes." Karma said his own glowing brighter.

He grabbed his phone and turned on the flashlight.

"As you should know, if you attended class that is, that light reflects on your eyes. No matter the Beast or Monster." Karma said bringing the phone to his eyes.

Rio unconsciously closed his eyes.

"Rio~ Your proving everyone right by closing your eyes-"

"I'm not!" He shouted opening his eyes and was immediately blinded by the light.

But it was enough...his eyes reacted.

"Told ya...Beastie."

"Now do you want to tell everyone what you are?" Karma asked turning off his phones light.

Rio stood there, his fist clenched, before he relented.

"A crow...I'm a crow shifter." He admitted...sadly.

Rio slowly accepting himself as a Beast Shifter and gaining something more as well...

Chapter Text

Rio sat on the green grass, he heard the others talking and laughing, he heard wings flapping and roars.

He leaned his head against the tree, his eyes closed, his arms wrapped around his legs.

It's been three days and he still hasn't shifted, but he hasn't said anything about being human again....Cause now it's been proved.

"Gonna shift today?" Nagisa asked.

Rio said nothing.

"Okay...Do you need help shifting?" He asked nicely.

Rio looked to him.

"When was the last time that you shifted?" Nagisa asked curling his serpent tail.

"4 years." Rio admitted.

"Why? That's...why?" He asked.

"I wasn't allowed." Rio only said.

"You can here. And you can give in to your urges? I'm sure Crows have needs right?" Nagisa tried, holding out his hand.

Rio looked to his pale hand.

"I'll help. We all will."

Rio slowly lifted his hand, before he grabbed it and stood up.

Nagisa kept his word, him and Karma...Though unlike his teasing remark days ago, he was softer.

They told him some tricks for shifting, they explained the feeling that they felt. They even promised to be next to him and help him if he loses control.

It was painful, he nearly screamed and cursed them out. He wanted to give up and run away.

But Nagisa held his hand, promising that it's better this way...

And when he felt his wings pop out he totally forgot what they would look like...

He fell on the ground hugging Nagisa who held him.

Rio's breath was shaky and labored, his heart was beating fast.

Karma stood there, no smirk, no snarky remarks on the tip of his tongue. Instead he looked angry...

His wings?

They were bloody, feathers were missing, they clearly wasn't taken care of. They were weak looking, shaking and limp on the ground.

Koro Sensei came up to them, nothing was said. Nagisa who was still on the ground with him cupped his face.

"See? Don't you feel better?" Nagisa asked looking at his dark black eyes.

"N-n no." He said breathing heavily.

"I don't feel good at all. My back! It hurts!" He cried.

Nagisa looked to his back, to his wings.

"You'll feel better soon. Once...Once your wings heal, and are used to shifting. You'll feel better."

Rio slowly moved his wings, he looked to them and took a deep breath as he preened them. He took off the baby feathers, he took off the ruined feathers. He cleaned the wings that may never be the same.

It took a while, it took a whole class hour and then some. But he he did it...

He sat there, his wings felt better, he actually felt better.

"How are you feeling? Better I hope?" Nagisa  asked, he and Karma practically sat in front of him.

"Yeah...Yeah I do." Rio admitted and breathed heavily.

Karma thumbed his cheek, Rio looked to him, and saw his smile, no teasing smirk, a real smile.

"Your wings are beautiful." Karma hummed.

Rio hasn't heard that since...

He shifted his wings and looked away, shy, meek.

Nagisa moved closer to him and moved his hair from his forehead.

"He's right, your wings are amazing. So are you."

The next day, he couldn't help but be...happy? on getting to school. He ran up the hill, throwing open the door and getting to his seat.

Koro Sensei chuckled and he immediately tried to calm himself.

As soon as class started, Koro Sensei gave them the go ahead on shifting.

Rio was once again last, but not because he didn't want to, he just...needed time?

Nagisa and Karma were next to him once again, and when he finally shifted-

"Hey! That was great. A lot better then yesterday! And look!" Nagisa said looking to his wings.

It's only been a day but they already look great...

He stood up and hugged him.

And what surprised them, was him making a happy trilling sound.

Rio jumped back and covered his mouth.

"Haha! Oh wow that was so. Haha that was cute birdy." Karma teased, but he wasn't making fun of him. He was sincere.

Class actually seemed better as well, he still didn't participate in some stuff, but he paid attention more...kind of.

He still drew in his notebook, he still made his doodles and sketches.

And when lunch came, he stretched and looked to his wings, he flapped them, and looked outside.

"I wouldn't risk flying yet." Karma said thoughtfully.

"Yeah...yeah I shouldn't." Rio agreed.

But he didn't mind.

For days...yes days this was his new student life. He shifted, he would occasionally preen and clean his wings.

But they saw the bruises, they saw his healing cuts and they saw the way he looked to be in pain.

This day was not any different.

Rio arrived at school, this time not skipping in happily, he didn't shift, he sat there and looked anywhere but at them.

Nagisa and Karma seeing this went to him.

"Why aren't you shifting baby bird?" Karma asked, wrapping his thin black tail around him.

Rio shook his head.

Karma leaned down, gripped his chin, and made him look at him.

Nagisa, who was behind him, eyes widened. They darkened, and he actually saw his fangs lengthening. His blue eyes glowing.

And when Rio blinked he saw him calmed down almost instantly.

Nagisa grabbed his hand and pulled him up and took him out of the classroom.

He didn't ask, he didn't comment that they are actually skipping class.
He let him take him outside, Karma was trailing behind them. When they got out there, Nagisa took him to his tree. The tree that he always sits under, the tree that was his safe space. The tree that he felt comfortable nearby.

Nagisa sat him down, and he thumbed his cheek, moving his hair from his eyes. And he leaned closer and kissed him.

They had a strange relationship...the three of them.
Nagisa would kiss him, then he would kiss Karma.
Karma would tease him but call him strange pet names and touch him in ways that no one has.

Rio kissed him back, it was soft, nice, sweet.

Nagisa soon pulled away, cheeks pink, but he wasn't shy about kissing him. Just happy and blissed.

Karma looked up the tree.

"You should go up there." Karma said causally.

Rio looked to him.

"The tree?" He asked.

"Yeah. Birds love trees right Beastie?" Karma teased light-hearted.

Rio looked up at the tree, he did sort of want to be up high.

He stood up, and realized that he can't reach it.

He jumped, reaching up, he jumped again and again-

"Your gonna have to shift..." Nagisa said softly.

Rio stood there, he didn't looked at them, as he slowly took off his shirt, he didn't look at them as he shirt fell...revealing more of his deep and light cuts, bruises in all shapes, sizes and colors.

They only didn't see it earlier cause well usually it would be healed by now.

His wings looked small, they looked good still, but weak. Karma lightly touched them, and kissed the back his head.

"Get up there Birdy." He said lightly.

Rio stepped back and jumped up, his wings flapped like crazy, he nearly fell if they haven't caught him.

He teared up and gripped his pants.

"Shsh it's okay. It's okay. Try again." Nagisa said looking to Karma who had his wings out.

He grabbed his hand, pulled him up and flew up without warning.

"Wah!" Rio yelled surprised, Karma laughed and set him on a branch.

"There you go. Right where you belong." Karma teased sitting next to him.

Rio looked around and happily sat in the tree. He smiled and teared up with happy tears, opened his wings, letting the light wind hit him.

He looked to Karma who smiled at him.

"Feeling better?" He asked.

"Yes. Yes...Thank you. This-"

"What did I fucking say!?"

Rio felt his blood turn cold, he could swear that everyone can hear his beating heart with how much it was raging in his chest.

He didn't to but he immediately looked to the ground recognizing that voice.

"You fucking freak-"

"Shiro-" Rio dropped down but when he did he grabbed his arm.

"I fucking knew it! I fucking knew it!" He screamed in his face tossing him to the ground and stepping on his wing.

"Agh!"

"I knew that you were- Argh! Mom never should have picked you sorry ass up! You freaks and bastards deserve to die!" He yelled and tried to kick him but he was shoved to the ground.

When Rio looked up, he saw Nagisa...Sweet, kind, soft spoken Nagisa standing in between them fully shifted and pissed.

Karma went to him, picked him up, and left...like he wasn't leaving his boyfriend...

"Nagisa!"

"-is fine." Karma said, the other students ran out with the teachers. Rio tried to warn them, but he couldn't.

He leaned against Karma's chest, his eyes closing, and his hand clenched around altered school uniform.

When Rio woke up, he didn't remember falling asleep. He looked around, seeing that he was in a hospital. A Beast hospital.

He looked to his arm feeling a pressure on it.

There he saw blue hair.

He lifted his other hand, and messed with his hair.

"You won't go back there." He looked to the door seeing Karma.

"Yeah..."

Karma went to him and leaned down kissing his forehead.

"You okay?" He asked.

Rio teared up and lifted his hand to his wrist, pulling him down. Karma fell on his bed and Rio cleaned up and kissed his cheek.

"Thank you...The both of you, I...I really love you two. And I'm sorry you got involved."

"Heh." Karma scoffed.

"Got involved? We shoved our way into your business cause we wanted to. We're noisy, and have no self control, and want to know everything about what we deem as ours." Karma said like it was... natural. And it was to Monsters and Beasts...

"Your ours. And now? Your really really ours." Karma said cause he was free, he won't go back home but instead staying with them.

"He's right." Nagisa said lifting his head from his arm and leaned into his face and kissed the side of his mouth.

"You're ours."

"Yeah...Yours."

Derek and Peyton went out on a couples camping trip while the pack caused havoc back at the loft.

Chapter Text

Peyton stood there.

"Are you sure-"

"Yes." Derek said immediately, carrying his suit case and bringing it to the elevator.

Peyton looked to the others.

"And you guys have mine and Derek's number-"

"Yes." He heard the course of teens say.

"And you guys have food-"

"Yep you went shopping yesterday." Lydia teased a teasing smirk on her face.

"Are you guys sure you'll be okay by yourselves-"

"They'll be fine." Derek came up behind him, wrapping his arms around his waist.

"They have your number in all of their phones, they have food and water, and they have supernatural healing if anything happened-"

"But not Stiles or Allison-" Peyton said going to the bathroom and taking out the home first aid kit.

Derek sighed and looked to them.

"You tell him that you're all okay now." Derek said.

Just then Peyton came back, he set the first aid on the counter when Scott came up to him.

"We'll be fine. Go on your camping trip." Scott said.

Peyton looked to them one last time and nodded with a sigh.

"Okay. Okay... We'll go. I'll go and we'll see you Sunday...in five days." Peyton nodded, he grabbed his phone and looked to Derek who was smiling a little at him.

Peyton grabbed his bag and they went to the elevator.

"They'll be okay right?" Peyton asked.

"They will be." Derek said.

"Yep they will be. They'll be fine-Why am I so worried? They're teenagers! They are teenagers..." Peyton scoffed at himself.

Derek looked to him and took him to his Camero.

"Tell me they'll be fine." Peyton asked again.

"They. Will. Be. Fine." Derek empathized.

"Okay. I think I'm okay."

Derek nodded and he drove them to the camp grounds.

Peyton had three days off, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. So Derek immediately suggested that they go camping just the two of them. For five days.

Peyton looked around the forest, tall trees, a flat piece of land that Derek was setting up their tent.

"I don't think I've been camping." Peyton said setting up the fire pit for them.

"Really?" Derek asked slightly surprised.

"Well...No no that's not true? I think once we did? But we had to cut it short." Peyton said trying to think.

"Well I hope this doesn't end the same way?" Derek teased.

"I hope so! I want to leave this campground with a limp." Peyton said.

Derek looked to him and chuckled.

"You certainly will." Derek went to him, picked him up and Peyton wrapped his legs and arms around him.

Derek kissed him and Peyton happily kissed him back.

He pulled away and took off his shirt, Derek growled possessively and brought him into the tent.

He laid him on the ground, and Peyton laid there, he smiled and kissed him deeper.

Derek tore off his own shirt and messed with his pants. Peyton laughed and helped him, he undid the buttons and zipper.

"Eager?" Daryl asked seeing him quickly doing his own.

"...Is it bad if I say yes?" Peyton asked.

"No. But it does make you a bit slutty." Derek teased going to his neck and attacking it with kisses and bites.

Peyton hugged him to himself, he took a deep breath.

"Fuck..." He moaned.

Derek smirked and went down from his neck to his chest, he sucked and kissed his chest, and made sure that it definitely left marks.

Peyton gripped his hair, bit his lower lip.

"Nrgh." Peyton stiffled.

Derek leaned up, and looked to him.

"Why are you doing that?" He asked grabbing his lower lip.

Peyton shook his head.

"Just...used to it."

Derek smirked.

"You never had to, and you certainly don't have to now. Let me hear you baby." Derek said, taking off his boxers, he tossed them.

And Peyton...He was definitely ready.

Derek grabbed the lube and put it on his fingers.

"Kind of small no?" Peyton teased leaning on his elbows.

Derek smirked and slowly shoved his finger in his hole.

Peyton gasped and fell off of his elbows.

Derek chuckled and leaned in and kissed him, he bit his lip, and Peyton opened his mouth. Derek easily dominated his mouth, shoving his tongue in, and acting like he was starving.

Peyton moaned and grunted as Derek still stretched him out and kissed the hell out of him.

When Derek pulled away he grabbed more lube.

"You okay with being knotted?" Derek asked as he readied his huge dick.

Peyton nodded.

"More than anything."

Derek flashed his red eyes and kissed him. Hard.

"Ah~ fuck." Peyton moaned as Derek slowly thrusted in.

"You can go faster, harder~" Peyton said rubbing his huge muscular arms.

"Heh really? And if I do? You really might not be able to walk? I don't think I brought a wheelchair?" Derek teased as he thrusted out and in quickly just to show him.

Peyton moaned.

"Yes! Yes!" Derek flashed his red alpha eyes again and that was all that he needed to continue.

His thrusts were anything but soft and gentle, it was fast, bed breaking hard.

"Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!" Peyton moaned scratching his back, causing thin red lines to appear.

"Ah ah ah! Alpha!" He moaned.

Derek growled and thrusted faster, feeling his growing knot, knowing that the both of them will be cuming soon.

"Fuck your such a beautiful slut." Derek grunted looking at his glossy blue eyes.

He kissed him deeply as the both of them cum.

Peyton moaned and laid there, breathing heavily.

"Oh shit..." Peyton gasped

Derek chuckled and kissed his neck and under his chin.

"Yeah." Derek said his knot still firmly implanted in him.

"Yeah..." Peyton only said unsure what he was really saying.

Derek kissed him again.

"Sleep." He said.

And he did.

When Peyton woke up the next day, he sighed happily and looked around seeing Derek asleep. He smiled, kissed his bearded cheek, and sat up very slowly, definitely sore, but still he looked around.

"What are you looking for baby?" Derek asked sleepily.

"My phone. I wanna check on-" Peyton found it.

Derek laughed and grabbed it before he could text them.

Peyton sat there.

"This is a vacation." Derek said.

"I know just...One text?" Peyton asked, begged.

Derek looked at him.

"Your such a mom." Derek said kissing him and giving him his phone.

"Your fault." Peyton said sending a text from Derek's phone.

"Yes I suppose it is." Derek rubbed his back and got up.

"After breakfast I'm gonna take you somewhere special." He promised.

And he didn't disappoint.

"I love it!" Peyton shouted looking at the view.

"This was definitely a needed trip." Peyton looked to his boyfriend.

"Thank you." He said sincerely.

"Thank you so much for this."

Derek smiled.

"Of course. This was a needed vacation for us both." Derek said looking to the waterfall in front of them.

It was small but somehow still beautiful.

Derek looked to his phone.

The pack never did answer 'Dereks' text.

"Is everything okay?" Peyton asked his smile so big, the chilly wind messing with his hair.

He was wearing a nice jacket, a soft scarf that had orange pumpkins all over on it, he never takes it off now.

"Yeah. Yeah fine." Derek said with a stiff smile.

Peyton looked at him, he didn't like that.

"What's wrong did they answer?" He asked looking at the phone.

If he lied he'll be upset. If he tells the truth he'll worry.

"Not yet, but they will soon."

"Can we call them?" Peyton asked.

Derek gave him a soft look.

"...I don't want you to worry, it's been a few minutes, they're sleeping in, cooking? Doing drugs-"

"Drugs! That will ruin-" Peyton stood seeing his joking smile.

"Come on let's enjoy this day."

"Okay." Peyton relented.

Throughout the day they messed around, Peyton was telling stories from his job.
Derek was telling him some more about his past.

They walked around the trail, holding hands, laughing and smiling. Eating snacks and cooked meals.

"Look at that! They all answered." Derek showed him.

-Hey yeah we're good.

-All good here.

-Dude I'm surprised you're texting us I thought that you would be bedding him for like ever.

Peyton rolled his eyes, both at the texts but at how long it took to answer. But he felt happy nonetheless, so he was able to go on with his vacation.

They had lots of fun.

Sex.

Walking on more trails.

Went to secret areas that only Derek knew.

And Peyton was so so glad about these five days.

Well it was supposed to be five days...

Peyton stood on top of a giant giant! Boulder.

"Ah haha! This is amazing!" Peyton cheered.

Derek laughed and watched him as he stood there, did a little dance move...Till he slipped and fell. And all that was heard was a loud crack.

"Peyton! Peyton!"

"I'm fine! I'm fine! I'm fine?" Peyton kept saying as he teared up and held his foot/ankle.

"Let me see. Let me see baby." Derek begged.

Peyton removed his hands, and Derek touched his ankle and gently took away his pain.

Peyton sat there, he took a deep breath and looked to Derek.

"I'm sorry! I'm sorry I-"

"Hey? Hey it's okay. I'm sorry I didn't catch you." Derek said feeling horrible.

"No no it was stupid! I shouldn't have danced on a wet rock." Peyton scoffed at himself.

Derek sat up and picked him up.

"Can we continue?" Peyton asked.

"I would love to. But I don't want to risk your injury getting worst. We're only missing two days? We'll continue at the loft.

Watch Halloween movies? Read detective novels?" Derek tried.

"Yeah...I'm still sorry. I was really having fun camping." Peyton said kissing his cheek.

"We'll go on more." Derek reassured.

And so they went home earlier then expected.

Derek packed the car, he reassured him the whole ride back home that the vacation wasn't ruined.

And when they got back to the loft...

"Are you kidding me!" Derek growled seeing the flashing lights.

Hearing the loud music, smelling beer and weed, seeing teens dancing and jumping around.

Peyton who was in Derek's hold was just as surprised.

Derek set him on the ground and went to the DJ station. And when Peyton heard the loud crash, he knew what Derek did.

"GET OUT!" Derek shouted.

And they got out.

Miles loved Stiles, but unfortunately he didn't know the things he did, and when he found out...

Chapter Text

"How are you so good at homework? I swear I pay attention I write notes!" Miles groaned and slammed his head on his desk.

Stiles rubbed his shoulders and put his hand under his head so that he didn't hurt himself.

"It's okay. I'll help-" Ding.

Stiles sighed, took out his phone and groaned.

"I gotta help Scott with something, I promise I'll help you when I get back." Stiles kissed the side of his head.

"Okay." Miles said kissing his lips and doing what homework he did understood.

Next day at school, he was running laps with Stiles in gym.

He jogged beside him, Stiles was okay, but obviously close to running out of breath.

"How...How are you?" Stiles said breathing heavily.

"I'm in Lacrosse! I run a lot! And and I run with-" Stiles stood there breathing heavily some more.

"I don't know? I breath better then you?" Miles teased.

"Speaking of Lacrosse~ I'm gonna be there." He said.

Stiles sat up from his bent over position and looked at him.

"Yeah?" He asked surprised. Happy.

"Of course! I may be hella confused but I want to see you kick the ball?" He asked.

Stiles laughed and kissed him again.

When the game arrived, Miles sat on the bleachers with the others. Stiles father, John, was next to him.

"So Lacrosse? Do you kick anything?" Miles asked.

John tried to explain it the best he could, and as he watched the game he understood some more.

Miles cheered and shouted for Stiles and his team, Stiles looked to him and he saw him smiling.

And when that winning goal was shot-

"We won? They won!" Miles said to John who cheered beside him.

He ran down the bleachers and met up with Stiles.

"You were amazing!" Miles said taking off his helmet.

"Thanks." Stiles smiled brightly and kissed him.

Miles kissed him back and pulled away.

"We have to celebrate! I'll get ya curly fries~"

"Yes!" Stiles cheered, his arms raised up and whooping.

"I think you're more excited for the curly fries then winning the game?" Miles teased.

Stiles actually thought about it.

The three of them were in a dinner, Miles was talking just as much as Stiles. Both laughing and talking loudly, both spurting words at 200 miles a minute.

John sat next to Stiles and he was happy for him.

He was smiling and eating his own burger and fries. Stiles wasn't happy about that. But he let it go claiming that this was his cheat day.

"So-" Miles was about to say when Stiles' phone went off.

He was gonna ignore it.

"Get it? Hehe." Miles laughed as he stole his curly fry. Stiles pouted but answered his phone.

He sat there, his smile falling and looking to his dad, his dad stood up and Stiles ran out.

"Is...Everything okay?" He asked.

John looked to him.

"Uh hold on." John soon left, following after Stiles.

Miles nodded and stole another of Stiles' fries.

"Hey! Uh I gotta go-Im sorry!" Stiles ran in and dug in his pocket for his wallet.

"I'm really sorry-"

"Hey hey hey." Miles stood up and grabbed his arms gently.

"It's okay...It's okay." Miles said gently.

Stiles stood there.

"I'll handle this. This was your win." Miles said putting his wallet back in his pocket.

"We'll talk tomorrow yeah?" Miles said so understanding...Stiles always feels horrible.

Like he's using him, like he's-

"I love you." Stiles said.

"I love you too Mish." He teased.

Stiles sighed but he kissed his cheek and left.

Miles paid the diner, and went to his empty house.

This happens, Stiles would get a call or a text, and he would have to leave.

Miles was confused sure and yes he wanted to know. But he saw how Stiles would get.

He was sad that he had to leave, he would consider if he should go, and Miles will hug him and say that he would be here. Cause he would be.

Miles sat on his couch, eating popcorn with colored chocolate strips.

Ding!

He grabbed his phone seeing hearts.

Mish- Hey! Come to this address for a surprise!

Miles put it in his maps and furrowed his eyebrows.

Me- Is this a date? Did you solve whatever was wrong?

Mish- Are you coming?

Miles sat there before he laughed.

Me- Yeah I'm coming. But what is this?

No response, he got in his car, and just followed the map.

He got to the field, he looked around, and looked to his phone.

He called him, but jumped when he heard it behind him.

"Okay what is this-" Miles turned around and froze.

It was a man, a tall man, with bright red eyes, sharp nails and teeth.

He stepped back and looked around.

"S-Stiles?" He knew it wasn't him, but he was really hoping that this was a joke.

The man growled and he charged at him when another figure jumped him.

Miles screamed and ran when he was grabbed.

"It's okay! It's okay!" He looked up at Stiles.

"Stiles! What the hell is going on?" Miles shouted over the roaring, growling, and sounds of fighting.

"Just come on-" Stiles tried when there was a huge rock tossed at them.

They separated and as Miles tried to stand up he was grabbed.

"Let go! Let go! Let go!" Miles shouted fighting in their hold.

"Miles!" Stiles shouted scrambling up to go on him.

"So this is the Emissary's play thing." The man growled sharp claws around his neck.

"Too bad."

"No!"

"No no no! Miles! Miles! Look at me!" Stiles shouted going to his body.

Miles gasped his hands weakly holding his neck.

"Your okay! Your okay!" Stiles said, begged, prayed.

Miles looked at him, coughing up blood and trying to talk.

"You'll be okay. You'll be okay..." Stiles cried smoothing his hair, his breath shaking till it slowed.

"No! No! Miles fight it! Fight it!"

Stiles sat there, his leg bouncing, his bloody hands shaking, he stood up and ran his hands through his hair.

"Stiles..." Melissa, Scott's mom, came up to him.

He looked to her.

"How is he?" He asked quickly, desperate.

She stood there.

"Stable for now, but uh, we're not sure how it'll..."

"No...No he's he's fine. He'll-I should have told him. I should have told him! If I wanted him-"

"You wanted him safe. You wanted him away from danger and the death and being involved in cases. That's reasonable." Melissa tried.

"Your all kids, you wanting your boyfriend to have a life is...That's the most selfless thing that you could have given him."

"But now he's lying in that room. Hooked up to machines and fighting for his life." Stiles said his voice cracked.

"If he knew, I could have prepared him. Given him a wolfsbane necklace? Given him a run down of..." Stiles cried.

"I practically killed him-"

"No. No Stiles you didn't. You saved him."

When Miles opened his eyes, he looked around, his eyes blurry, his body sore, his throat hurt.

He looked to the side seeing the heart monitor. He moved his hand to his finger, and took off the clip. Immediately the alarm went off and he heard the rushing of a nurse.

There he saw his nurse.

"Oh...Your." She sighed in relief, probably thinking that he was coding.

"Heh if you wanted a nurse there's a button." She said trying to lighten the mood.

He opened his mouth but couldn't make a sound.

She gave him a sad smile.

"It's okay." She only said.

He lifted his hand to his neck, but she gently grabbed his hand.

"I'll give you a mirror but don't touch okay?" She said softly.

He nodded.

She left and soon came back with a mirror.

He held it, and and saw a bandage around his neck, but it didn't matter, he saw some marks on his collar, lip and a bit under his chin.

He looked to her and pointed to his neck.

"We can check, in a bit. We called your parents but they haven't answered yet. But your boyfriend is still here?" She said hopefully.

Boyfriend...

Stiles.

Monsters.

He laid there, and looked to the doorway.

He opened his mouth but a pain sound only came.

She grabbed a notebook.

"Here I'm gonna get you water, and you think about what you want to say. Okay?" She said sweetly.

Miles nodded and laid there, he looked to the remote for the bed and moved so that he can sit.

He sat there and looked to the mirror again. He looked to his reflection, before he turned the mirror over.

When the nurse came back, she handed him the water.

"I just realized I didn't tell you my name. My bad. I'm nurse McCall. Scott's mom." She said.

Oh...yeah.

He nodded he couldn't really say anything anyway.

He drank the water and nearly coughed it up.

"Slow. Slow." She said nicely, wiping his mouth and he looked to her in sadness.

"It's okay. Try again, slowly." She said sweetly.

He slowed down, and nodded.

She smiled at him and stared. He knew that look.

He picked up the pen.

"Bring him in" He wrote.

"Okay." She said leaving and he waited.

Five minutes later, and Stiles nearly fell as he ran in.

He looked to him and he looked horrible...Miles tried to laugh but it came out. Wrong.

Stiles went to him, and grabbed his hand, he was shaking. Crying.

"I'm so sorry. I swear I. I." Stiles tried but he was a mess.

"Okay so there's wolves and and witches and the one that attacked you as an Omega, well actually it was an Alpha but since it was a alone it was Omega so really it was an Alpha Omega.

Scott got bit by one and ever since I've been helping him with all of it. And Derek bit three other-" Stiles looked to him and started again.

"Okay so Peter-"

Miles only got like two things.

Wolves and Omega's? Or Alpha's?

Stiles took a deep breath.

"I'm sorry. I'm sorry I..." He held his hand tighter.

"I wanted you safe. My life is crazy, from being a student and supernatural cases and you? You were so amazing, so fucking understanding when I had to leave and...And I know that you were the one.

I'm so sorry. If you need-"

Miles lifted his hand to his face. Moving his tears and opened his mouth when he went to his notebook.

"So everyday is a Halloween Party and you didn't tell me?" He wrote.

Stiles looked to it and shrugged.

"I mean kind of? I I guess."

"I'm offended. I love Halloween."

Stiles laughed and teared up.

"Yeah you do...I'm so sorry." Miles shoved a weak hand to his face again covering his mouth.

"No more sorrys. You didn't hurt me right?" Miles wrote.

"You should be angry?" Stiles said.

"I am. At who hurt me. You wanted me safe. That was nice. I love you Mish."

Stiles laughed.

"Still gonna call me that ridiculous name?" He asked.

"Yes. Cause I love your name. Mieczyslaw." He wrote just to show him.

"I love you too Miles. I swear you'll be safe from now on. I'll tell you everything and you can meet the others." Stiles said.

Miles nodded, and held his hand bringing it up to his lips.

Valentine and Derek's day in the pack house. And how crazy was it!

Chapter Text

When everyone thinks of vampires, they think of a man with dark hair that's maybe long, expensive pressed clothes, with a old fashioned name, who has an accent and is more calm then a cucumber.

But not Valentine...Okay so maybe he had a classic name. But Valentine was anything but a classic vampire.

When people think of wolves they think of preppy puppies, who had too much energy and no way of getting rid of it. They think of clingy, needy shifters who love to play and wrestle.

But not Derek.

He was stoic, calm, a bit rough and really growly around the edges.

But somehow they are the loves of each other's lives.

Valentine, or Val as some called him, crept up behind the man, his footsteps quiet as he gets closer.

And when he got arms length away-

"Gotcha!" Val shouted jumping on his back and wrapping his limbs around him.

"I got you! I got you! I got you! I. Got. You." He said between kissing his cheeks.

He looked at Derek with a bright smile.

Derek looked at him with a tired expression, but he wasn't angry, this was there daily routine. Derek, making coffee for himself and others if they wanted it. And Val, sneaking up behind him and jumping on him.

"Hehe." Val giggled as Derek walked around with him still on him, and set him on the counter.

"Guess what! I had a dream last night right?! And there was this penguin or at least something that looked like a penguin. It was that weird small bird that looks more like a pokemon than any actual real animal-"

Derek stood there, drinking his coffee, leaned against the counter and listening.

Yes he does listen.

He may look tired, and about to fall asleep, but once he's up, he's up. And if he's not dead tired, it'll stay that way.

"And! That's about it." Val said kicking his legs.

Derek nodded.

"That's your weirdest dream yet I think?" Derek said.

"It's up there yeah." Val said.

"You still sleeping through the night alright?" Derek asked.

"...Eh?" He shrugged.

"Some days are better then others. I don't get sleepy, sleeping is just fast forwarding to the next day?" He said that was the best way to explain it.

"I'm just worried that-" He stopped.

He forced a smile and about to say something else when Derek went to him.

He set down his coffee and placed his hands on his thighs.

"About what?" Derek said.

Val groaned.

"Tell me."

"I'm scared that I'll sleep longer than I actually wanted...If I sleep too long? What if instead of 8 hours it's 8 years? Or 80-" Val bit his lower lip.

Derek thumbed his cheek, and kissed him cheek.

"Hey? That won't happen, there's a defense mechanism right? If you're in danger your body will forcibly wake up right?" Derek reassured.

"Yeah..." Val nodded.

"Yeah I will."

"Then we're okay. Yeah?" He said kissing his cheek again, going under his ear and nibbling.

Val laughed and hugged him.

"Yeah I'm okay." He said again.

Once the others got up, they ate breakfast, talked at the table and three hours later they all went outside to train.

"And then-"

"And then that explosion!" Val and Stiles said at the same time.

"It was amazing! I still can't believe I saw that when it came out!" Val gushed.

"Your lucky!" Stiles said shoving him lightly.

"Dude we have two ADHD people in our pack." Scott said laughing but it sounded suspiciously sad.

Stiles and Val got along great, they love talking, and learning about weird things.

Supernatural creatures, the past, about movies and shows, books, and just everything.

They were best friends.

"Alright! That's good for today." Derek said, stopping the training.

All of the wolves sighed in relief.

"Finally."

"Thank fu-"

"It will continue if you all keep groaning." Derek warned.

They all stopped immediately.

Val got up, and with expert speed, ran to Derek and jumped on him.

Derek knowing that this was gonna happen, opened his arms and waited for him to make himself comfortable.

Val laughed and wrapped his arms around his neck.

Derek stood there as Val kissed his cheek, neck, and lips.

"I still find it so weird that the big bad Alpha lets you do. Any of that?" Stiles teased.

"Hey! He's a giant teddy weddy bear." Val said in a baby voice and smooshing his cheek against his.

Stiles snickered while Derek just stood there.

"I'm gonna make dinner." Stiles said.

"I'll help-" Val said happily.

"Nope you need to eat." Derek said grabbing his hand before he could leave.

Val sighed dramatically and looked to his boyfriend.

"Yeah yeah fine. I'll help you when I come back!"

"As long as you don't drop blood in my food I'll like the help." Stiles teased.

Val thought about it.

"But it'll taste better?"

Stiles laughed and Val joined.

When they all went inside the rebuilt pack house, Val stood there next to Derek and smiled stiffly at him.

"Wanna go to the shed?" He asked.

Derek nodded and they went to the shed. It was decent in size and no it didn't have gardening tools or anything.

It was more like a feeding shed. Val hated how he looked while he fed, so Derek made this shed for him.

No mirrors or the chance of anyone seeing or walking in.

Once he got there, he immediately got squeamish.

"You know I don't have to-"

Derek closed and locked the door.

"Yes you do."

Val knew that realistically, but...He hates having to feed from his boyfriend, the blood wasn't horrible, but it's his boyfriend...

Derek sat on the decent couch, he took off his shirt and patted his knee.

"You'll stop me if I go too far right? You'll shove me? Hold me down-you'll stop me?" Val asked like always.

"Yes." Derek learned right away that saying he'll be fine, or has control, does nothing to lessen his worry.

Val nodded and stood there, he messed with his hands.

In moments like these he looked shy, soft, not the confident vampire that he knew.

Val sighed and looked to him, he sat on his lap, his sharp teeth lengthening, his eyes a scary black with matching black veins.

He went to his neck and kissed it in apology for the upcoming pain.
Derek sat there, he always just sat there...

And when he felt the fangs pierce his skin, he didn't fight it. He instead rubbed his arms.

His skin instead of a pale white was turning grey, his nails longer and digging in his shoulder a little.

Val sucked and sucked, he grunted and moaned in delight, his sharp nailed thumb rubbing his neck, feeling his pulse.

He pulled away breathing heavily, the corner of his mouth covered in blood. His tongue poked out and licked his lips.

His eyes were still dark, predatory, he eyed his body, his neck, his bare chest, his blood still leaking from the fang marks.

He leaned down to his neck again, he suck a little more, before he licked it up and healed it.

But he didn't move, he didn't leave his lap, he sat there. Derek moved his hands to his back, he rubbed it, and leaned up and kissed the side of his cold cheek.

"I'm okay." Derek said.

Val sighed in relief, he sank into him, wrapping his grey arms around him. Closing his dark eyes and hiding his face in his neck.

Kissing it in apology again.

Derek rubbed his back and kissed his shoulder and neck.

Val slowly looked more...normal. in his opinion.
No grey skin, no black veins or eyes, his nails were back to their short length.

"Full?" Derek asked making sure that he actually ate.

"...Yeah. I swear." Val said still hiding his face in his neck.

"Dude! Dudedudedude!" Val said lightly hitting Derek's chest who stood there.

"Yes?" He said.

"We have to go apple picking!" Val said jumping.

"Have to?" Derek asked.

"Have to." Val said determined.

Derek sighed, grabbed his Camero keys and they both went to the car...not alone.

Derek stood there, he seems to like standing,  watching as Val went to tree to tree trying to find the best apples.

"So do you remember what it was like finding the first apple?" Erica teased.

"Oh yeah it was great. Right after fucking the first royal family." Val bit back as he picked a apple and looked it over.

"Oh~ Were you also there when wheels were invented-"

"Bitch please I invented them!" Val said gasping when he saw pumpkins.

"We need pumpkins!" He screeched haphazardly giving Derek his apples and running to the pumpkin patch.

Derek chuckled as he followed him.

Setting the apples in his basket and going to where Val was fighting a kid...

"I was here first brat!" Val seethed.

"I want it!" The kid whined.

"All that your gonna get is rabies if you don't let go of my pumpkin!" Val shouted.

"I want it! I want it!" He whined

Val flashed his eyes and teeth and hissed.

The kid stood there.

"Mom!" The kid shouted.

"Oh yeah cry to your mom like she's gonna save your sorry ass." Val said grabbing the pumpkin and going to Derek who stood there and tried to not show his smile.

"So you traumatized a kid-"

"Oh that kid was a complete and utter brat! He thinks just because he said his please and thank yous that he can get things." Val scoffed and proudly showed the pumpkin.

"This is our son Squishy." Val said happily.

Derek looked to the orange Halloween decoration.

"Hi Squish." He said monotonously.

"Squishy." Val said his smile dropping.

Derek snorted and rolled his eyes.

"Squishy. Now come on let's pay for these things. Before the mom comes." Derek said though he didn't really care himself.

"You threatened a kid for a pumpkin?" Scott asked, eyes wide, mouth agap.

Some of the others were outright laughing, some were trying to hide their snorting.

Val shrugged and painted a little face on the pumpkin.

Two black eyes, with a matching tiny smile and fangs.

"You- you- haha!"

Val only sat there, and when it was done, which don't take long, he smiled and showed Derek.

"Look at him! Squishy is born!" He presented him like lion king.

Derek nodded and smiled, he kissed the top of his head and looked to the small orange pumpkin.

"Isn't he beautiful?" Val teased.

Derek nodded.

"Very cute." He said.

Val laughed and held the pumpkin to his chest.

Lok finding a hurt Crow...

(Pronounced as Lock)

Chapter Text

"Hmm. Hmm. Hmm." Lok hummed as he walked down the streets of the Barrel. His hands were holding tightly to his bag.

The air was chilly and covered in thick fog, most found it annoying, Lok found it comforting.
Don't ask how or why, he doesn't even know.

He turned to walk down a alleyway when he saw a man. A guy around his age in fact.

He was on the ground, breathing heavily, he was wearing a dark long coat, gloves, and a cane which laid next to him.

"Need help?" He asked.

His head shot towards him.

"Fuck off." He spit out, struggling to get up, he leaned against the wall. And bent down to get his cane.

Lok stepped forward, grabbed the cane and handed it to him.

"Are you sure you don't want help?" He asked again causally.

The man glared at him, his face bloody and bruised but he had fight in him.

"Why would you help me?" He accused.

"Cause I'm bored." Lok shrugged and continued walking down the alleyway.

"You can either follow me to my house or leave." Lok said going back to his humming.

Hearing a slow tapping/thumping, on his hard wood floors-

"You can just sit on the couch, make yourself comfortable." Lok said after setting up his stuff.

The man scoffed and stood there, looking around the small place.

Lok came in and looked at him.

"I believe I said that you should sit?" He said lightly.

"You always offer help to strangers?" He asked instead, skeptical, wanting to know why he would do such a thing.

"Only to the cute ones." Lok teased setting down the bowl of water.

"Please sit, or else you might fall down."

The man slowly did, but it was obvious that he was still hesitant.

Lok kneeled in front of him and looked at his face first.

He lifted his hand and saw his tense body, the way he pulled away, but tried to hide it.

Lok hesitated and moved very very gently and hovered above his face. He hovered his thumb and moved it around.

It was lot slower then what it would usually be.

But he would go his pace.

"You haven't asked?" The still unnamed man said, his hands gripping tightly on his cane as soon as he started.

Lok moved away giving him a break.

"I'm a 'No ask, No question' Type of person." Lok said easily.

"If you don't say anything I won't ask.
And I hope that you would do the same." Lok said obviously meaning his power.

A healing Grisha here?

"If you didn't want anyone to ask you should be more careful." He spit out.

Lok laughed.

"Thanks for the concern." Lok turned back to him and looked to his body.

"Mind taking off your coat?"

It was less than an hour healing him up, and none of them asked, not Lok not the man.

Once he was healed, Lok went to his kitchen to dump the water and when he came back with food...He was gone.

Quick just as that. Almost like he wasn't even there.

Well beside the Kruger sitting on his coffee table.

For days he hasn't seen him, only periodically would he risk it, it seems.

Lok noticed that some bruises were old, some cuts are poorly healed, and by the time he goes to him he would be on deaths door.

Everytime.

And the whole time, Lok never asked.

He never questioned why he was covered in injuries.

He never asked why did he seem to wait so long.

Lok just heals him, gets up to give him food- and when he comes back, it's to an empty house and Kruger.

Lok was looking over papers, his pencil scribbling across his paper-

Thump.

He got up and left his office/room and looked down the hallway seeing a familiar dark cloaked male.

"Want that cake that you left behind before you could try?" He asked, going to the cake, taking off the tin lid, uncovering it.

The still unnamed man pulled a face.

"No."

Lok nodded and looked to him.

"Need healing again?" Lok asked.

He just stared at him, his hands tightening around his crow head cane.

He said nothing.

Lok nodded.

"Alright." He said.

The man sat down, Lok kneeled in front of him.

He looked to his face. He looked fine.

He looked to his cloak which he was still wearing.

"Can you-"

"Kaz Brekker." The man said.

Lok looked to him, a bit shocked, but not upset.

"Lok Dyr."

Kaz nodded but didn't say anything else.

Lok laughed and got up and sat on his coffee table.

"You're not hurt are you?" Lok teased.

Kaz said nothing.

Lok nodded.

"Alright...So I'm gonna guess that you still don't want that cake?"

Kaz only looked at him.

"I'm gonna get a slice~" Lok got up grabbed two plates and when he came back...Kaz was still there.

Lok smiled, and gave him his plate and sat on the other chair.

Lok opened his door, unlocking the door-

"Ah I take it your the man that we're waiting for-"

"Who are-" Lok said alarmed.

Tap tap tap.

He looked seeing Kaz coming from the hallway.

He looked to the others again.

Two girls.

Three guys.

Each of them injured.

Blood, bruises, heavy breathing, and tired expressions.

"Alright." Lok only said and went to the kitchen.

"Okay who is the most injured?" He asked.

They all looked to a girl, Suli, she had lots and lots of knives.

And she was also covered in cuts, and bruises.

"Do you mind if I touch you?" He asked.

"It's fine." She said, her eyes watched his every move.

His fingers were gentle as he touched her skin and did familiar hand movements. Her skin slowly moving and healing, her red blood seeping back in her cuts.

Her bruises turning shades till it's back to normal.

He touched her skin, checking for anything internal.

"Any pain?" He asked.

"No. Thank you." She said softly.

"Of course." He smiled and looked to the others.

The next was a Zemeni man, he was covered in bruises mostly, easy heal.

He made jokes and complemented his skills and looks.

"Jesper that's enough." Kaz said sternly.

Lok chuckled and got up and moved to another man.

He was shyer, a bit soft spoken but luckily not injured at all.

The last two, was a curvy woman and a tall Ferdain.

"You are Grisha?" He said.

Lok looked at him.

"Nope." He said.

The blond haired man stared at him looking actually confused.

"You are not? You heal?" He asked.

"Oh? Damn." He looked to his hands in confusion and then looked at him.

"Oh shit. I think your right."

He heard snickers behind him and smiled at the man who understood what he was doing.

"You are messing." He stated.

"Yep!" Lok stood up and went to the kitchen and washed his hands.

Thump. Thump. Thump.

He dried his hands and looked to Kaz.

"Are you okay?" He asked.

"I thought you don't ask questions." Kaz said.

Lok tossed his towel at him and Kaz caught it.

"Some questions are worth asking. You answering them though..." Lok let it hang.

Kaz stared at the towel.

"So? Need to be healed?" He asked.

Kaz stood there, he looked to the ground, before he looked to at him.

"I'm fine."

Lok smiled, he didn't press, he didn't fight it, he just smiled.

"I said-"

Punch!

Lok landed on the ground, getting a road burn and a bleeding.

He glared and looked up at the gang leader, seeing his Razorgull tattoo.

"Listen here you little bastard. What Orion wants he gets."

"Yeah?" Lok asked.

"Well fuck you and Orion!" He spit his blood in his face.

Which caused the large man to yell and hit him harder-

Lok sighed and made his way home.

He leaned against his door, his hand on the door knob, before it fell, he leaned his head against his door.

His jacket torn, he was really cold now. Whether that was because of his jacket or blood loss he's not sure.

He somehow lost a shoe? He's not sure how that happened.

"Caw! Caw!" He opens his eyes and saw a black bird.

"Hello little crow..." He said tiredly.

He cawed again and jumped closer to him, his head tilted and nipped at his dirty pants.

He only sat there, outside of his house, he wanted to get inside but he couldn't seem to move.

He felt his blood leaving, but...he couldn't stop it.

"Why didn't you tell me?" Kaz asked.

Lok jumped and looked to Kaz in confusion and shock.

"Tell you-?"

"About the fight." Kaz stepped closer.

Lok stood there, his new crow friend standing on the window sill.

"Cause it's not your problem. It's mine." Lok only said turning around.

"You're wrong." Kaz growled.

"Your my Crow, your in my crew." Kaz said firmly.

Lok turned to him.

"Caw!"

Lok looked to his friend before he looked back to him.

"Who?" Kaz asked not giving him any time to say anything else.

Lok shook his head.

"Look you don't-"

"Who?"

"Kaz! It doesn't matter!"

Kaz stepped closer.

Lok looked at him, he wanted to cry, and he hated that.

"You got 2 seconds to tell me before I go out there and burn the whole Barrel down."

"I wouldn't care if you did...It's the Razorgulls. They wanted me to- well I think it's obvious." Lok relented.

Kaz stared at him.

Lok sidestepped him, when he felt a gloved hand grip his arm.

Lok looked to him.

"They won't touch you again." Kaz said his hand shaking, but he didn't let go.

"You don't have to either." Lok only said softly.

Kaz looked to him.

His hard eyes soften just barely as he looked at him. His dark hair was slicked back, his skin was slightly pale.

Lok really liked his eyes...

Lok finally smiled up at him.

"Okay...I'm a Crow."

Chapter Text

"Caw! Caw!"

Lok ran his finger down his feathers, he hummed to him, and grabbed a handful of nuts. The crow cawed again and hopped to his hand and ate some.

"Quick question?" Jesper asked practically skipping to him.

"Quick answer." Lok teased turning to him.

"Do you think you could...You know." Jesper said.

Lok lifted an eyebrow.

"Make that cake again?" Jesper asked like he was asking him to build them a new club.

"Hehe. Sure?" He said not seeing the issue.

Jesper followed him to the kitchen.

Lok wasn't sure why he was doing this, but he didn't comment on it.

He moved around the kitchen with ease, grabbing ingredients, stirring them, adding spices.

"Jes?"

"I'm here Wy!" Jesper shouted, they both turned seeing the boy with a smile.

"Hello Lok." Wylan greeted nicely.

"Hello curly." Lok teased as he set down the bowl after putting the batter in the pan.

They both laughed and talked some more, Jesper was telling him stories about other jobs.

Wylan was listening like he hasn't heard any of this. Though Lok is pretty sure that he has.

Lok bit his lower lip as he looked to Wylan, his eyes solely on Jesper. His head on his fisted hand, he nodded and smiled.

Jesper would look from Lok to Wylan, his hands flying as he talked.

"Haha. That sounds...well dangerous."

"Yeah it can be, but that thrill!" Jesper said excitedly.

"And hey!" Jesper said turning around, looking to Lok's frame who was going to the oven.

"Now we have a lovely Grisha Healer." Jesper said.

"Jes." Wylan said.

Jesper looked to him.

"You can't rely on him-"

"No! No no no I don't want to but!"

Lok set the cake in the tin on a rack and looked to them again.

"I don't mind. I would rather you guys come to me then be sitting in pain."

"Hhmm. Hmm hm hm." Lok hummed as he looked through the bottles of medical stuff. Stuff for being sick, stuff for if he can't heal them in time.

He wrote things down and soon felt a soft pressure on his shoulder.

"Caw grr."

"Hey Crow." He said putting a gentle finger on his small head.

He made a trill like sound and nipped at his hair.

"Still have that bird?" Kaz asked.

"Still have that cane?" Lok said before he could stop himself.

He stood there, before he tried to act casual.

"Do you need something Kaz?" He turned to him, Kaz stood there, he was wearing a vest, sleek pants, nice shoes, leather gloves, cane.

"We have a job, a dangerous one." He informed.

"Okay." Lok nodded.

Kaz looked around his medical area.

Lok stepped closer.

"I'll be here, if anyone is hurt, even if it's just paper cut I'll be there and heal them. I'll heal you." Lok said sincerely.

"Caw! Caw!"

"We'll heal you." Lok teased.

Kaz glared at the bird, but he didn't say anything, he looked back to him. He could hear the glove making a noise as he tightened it around the cane's head.

Lok though petted the bird, he let him stand on his wrist and smile at the black bird.

"I like crows. They're so..." Lok smiled bigger, and looked to Kaz with that same smile.

Kaz glared and turned around.

"Make sure that bird didn't make a mess, or you'll-"

"Kaz. You don't have to threaten me. They don't scare me. You don't scare me." He said setting the crow on the window sill and give him the small bowl of seeds and fruits.

"I wasn't afraid of the Razorgulls, I wasn't afraid when I was abandoned, I wasn't afraid when I met you...and I'm not afraid now...

Don't get me wrong, I do have a sense of danger, but I can handle myself? Do you think that Razorgull got away with no injuries." Lok teased as he went to the doorway.

Kaz barely looked at him.

"You can make your threats if that makes you feel better. But I'm not afraid.

If you decide I'm not worth keeping around one day...I won't fight it. Not because I don't care. But because I do." Lok said.

Kaz finally turned and looked at him

"Your crazy if you think I'm not scary.
You must be a moron if you think I won't hurt you, and you are certainly must be insane if you think I'll let you walk away."

"I never claimed to be sane." Lok only said leaving his medical room and going to get something to eat.

Hearing loud shouts of his name, and thumping, Lok ran down and saw a mass of blood.

"Lok we-"

"Get him to my room!" He ordered.

He tossed everything off the table.

Once he was set down, he leaned over him.

"Kaz! Kaz can you hear me?" Lok yelled as he checked his pulse and eyes.

"Is he okay!?"

"He was bleeding really badly!?"

"You have to help him!"

"Everyone out!" Lok shouted.

"Out! Out now!" He shouted.

They all left, and during that, Lok took off Kaz's clothes.
His jacket, his shirt all that he deemed necessary.

He gently touched him and worked on healing him. Running his hands over his body and doing hand signs to heal the broken skin.

Deep cuts seamlessly sewed back together, broken bones mending back together like nothing.

All of it...but one.

He looked to the leg that was always broken.

He grabbed his shirt and put it back on him.

His grabbed his black jacket, and helped him put it back on again.

He took in a deep breath, and went to his sink, he washed his hands thoroughly, changed his clothes and waited.

Kaz opened his eyes, he looked around, and saw a familiar room.

Glass bottles, a desk, table. He sat up, and noticed it right away. His injuries healed all but one.

"You didn't heal my leg." Kaz said looking to Lok who just walked back in.

"Nope." Lok only said setting down two cups.

"Heh cause you can't?" Kaz scoffed, testing.

"Cause you don't want it healed. I can, it won't be pleasant, but I can. But you don't want that." Lok said easily.

"Cause when they look at you? The Razorgulls, the other gangs, anyone? They think they see a weakness. A man with a limp and a cane...

It's a red herring."

Kaz looked at him.

"Or...It's a punishment that you're giving yourself, a forever painful reminder." Lok tested himself.

"Whenever you want it healed, if you ever want it healed. Come to me, if not, I won't ever heal it."

Kaz sat there, he grabbed his cane, sat up going to the door to leave, when he stopped.

Lok leaned against his counter.

Kaz seemed to have thought something and when he finally spoke, Lok stood there. He didn't speak up, he didn't stop him, he didn't ask questions.

He listened.

Jordie, Pekka, how he broke his leg.

Lok listened.

And when he was done, Lok came up to him and gave him his cup of tea.

"Would you like a slice of cake?" Kaz stared at him, no pity, no sadness, no guilt.

He just held out his cup.

And Kaz took it, the tips of his gloved fingers touching his.

"Yes." Kaz said.

Lok went to his table and it was then that Kaz saw the two plates, he slowly went to the table, he leaned his cane against the table and grabbed the plate.

Kaz stared at his plate, he held the fork taking a small bite.

Lok hummed as he fed that same damn bird.

He set down the plate, and without his cane walked closer to him.

Either Lok didn't notice or care with how calm he was getting. But when he did finally turn, Kaz and him were inches apart.

Lok looked surprised but didn't, couldn't, move.

"Kaz-"

"Just...once." Kaz stated, asked.

Lok looked to his lips, and then up at his eyes.

"You want to kiss me?" Lok asked.

"...Yes."

Lok isn't opposed, that much is obvious.

Lok nodded.

"Sure."

Lok stood still, Kaz looked to him, he swallowed, and leaned down, his breath fanning his face. His hand unconsciously lifted up to cup his cheek or neck.

Lok closed his eyes, tilted his head, and Kaz leaned forward, his lips barely touching his.

Lok didn't touch him. He wanted to, but he didn't, he moved his hands behind his back.

Kaz almost immediately pulled away and took several steps back. His can practically hear his heart beating. He can see his panic.

Lok stood there, licking his lips, before he went to the window, he opened it, letting the cool air in.

The crow cawed and immediately went to the window sill and jumped in.

Kaz held the edge of the counter so tightly that it might have cracked.

He looked to Lok and...why? Why did he feel...better?

Lok was on the roof, under a little awning, he closed his eyes as he listened to the rain.

The chilly air felt nice, the rain hitting the sheet metal and wood.

"Hold...me close and hold me fast. This magic spell you cast. It's la vie en rose~ Hmm. Hm hm hm. Hmm hm hm hm hm~" He hummed.
Lok looked to the dark sky, and lifted his hand. Letting the rain fall on it.

"You like rain?" Inej asked sliding in next to him.
Her form was wet, but she didn't seem to mind it.

"I love rain. I love the chilly air, I would stay out here forever if I could." He said truthfully.

"I suppose there is something to it." Inej said.

They sat there, the both of them relaxing, enjoying the chilly atmosphere.

"Caw! Caw caw!"

"Come here Crow." Lok said sweetly, he did, he went to his lap, and nuzzled.

Lok started humming again, Inej looked to him, and smiled a little, Lok was a good addition.

Lok plated his food and looked at the newspaper. He laughed at the stupid things.

"Made coffee and tea." Lok said without looking up at the arriving people.

Kaz, Nina and Mattias.

Kaz and Mattias said nothing, while Nina thanked him and took her coffee.

When Kaz left, Nina looked to him.

"So are you and Kaz dating?" Nina asked.

Lok didn't flinch, he didn't look scared, he only looked up at her.

"Huh?" He only said.

She smirked at him.

"Oh come on~ I can literally hear both of your hearts beating. Every time you laugh, every time you look at him, every time you walk in the room." She said all of this, knowing damn well that Kaz was still there. Hearing, listening, maybe even hoping.

"And I know that you feel the same way~" She purred.

"So when's the wedding?" She asked like it was final.

Lok sat there drinking his tea, he folded the newspaper and stared at Nina.

"Yes, I like Kaz Brekker.
Yes, I'm aware how much my heart beats when he's near.
Yes, I want to be with him knowing everything that he's been through. Knowing that we may never touch, knowing that he has troubles communicating his emotions.
Yes, I am completely and utterly in love with the Bastard of the Barrel." Lok admitted.

Nina sat there, she wasn't exactly expecting this.

"Will we get together? Who knows? As long as I can be useful to him, near him? I'm okay." Lok stood up, and went to leave when he saw Kaz.

He stood there, both of his hands resting on his cane.

"Hehe. I guess you heard huh?" Lok only stood there before he left, going to the stairs to his room.

He may be acting calm, but yeah he's slightly...worried.

Lok messed with a bottle, he turned it around and around in his hands. Letting his thumb rub over the label.

Hearing the door click he sighed internally.

He turned to Kaz, who looked neutral.

"You don't have to say anything, or if you want to yell and call me names. It's okay." Lok said leaning against the counter.

Kaz stared at him.

"You claim to have feelings for me. Knowing everything." Kaz said.

"I do."

"You're also aware that..." Kaz didn't, or perhaps couldn't, finish.

"Love doesn't have to be physical to be anything? We don't have to kiss, we don't have to hold hands? We don't even have to have sex or hug.
There are lots of ways to love people." Lok persuaded.

Kaz nodded slowly, more like he's agreeing to a deal than to his proposal.

"We don't-"

"Yes." Kaz said before he could finish.

"Yes to...? Dating?" Lok asked.

Kaz nodded stiffly.

"Yes... We'll...date."

Lok nodded and tried to not smile too big.

"Alright. We'll date."

Chapter Text

Edmund ran down the trail.

"Sorry Emi!" He said nearly running into her.

"Whoa sorry sorry!" He said helping another picking up apples.

"Edmund you won't miss the festival~"

"Of course not! Not if I get there early." He said taking the offered apple and going back to running.

When he made it to the town square he smiled.

There were decorations all around, people selling pumpkins and candy apples, there was baked goods like pumpkin pie, apple pie and so much more.

He went to every stall and looked at everything with excitement.

As he was looking at a cloak, he felt a nudge.

"Oh are you-" Suddenly he was running and that's when he realized that his coin purse was gone.

"Hey my money!" He yelled running after him, when he caught up he saw him on the ground and a boy and two guards were there.

"I think this is yours." He said handing out his coin bag.

"Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" He said hugging him.

The man stood there, he froze, eyes wide.

Edmund pulled away, he was wearing a dark blue cloak, the hood up and sitting nicely on his head.

"My name is Edmund."

"P-um." He coughed.

"I'm um..." He looked around.

Apples, tomatoes, carrots, cheese, pumpkin!

"Pumpkin!" He shouted.

Edmund stood there, flinched a little at his panicked shout.

"Okay? Okay...Pumpkin." Edmund said.

He stood there, his hood blocking his face, but Edmund didn't mind, he was probably shy?

"Well I think I owe something." Edmund said.

"You don't have to." Pumpkin said.

"Have to? Maybe not, but I also do. You helped me, and I want to repay that. So...let me please?" Edmund asked.

"Okay."

Edmund started walking and Pumpkin followed.

"Do you live here?" Pumpkin asked.

"Yep. Well kind of, I live outside of the walls. But I always come to the town square. Especially during the Hallows Eve Festival." Edmund said grabbing his hand so that they don't lose each other.

"And you?" Edmund asked taking him to a stand.

"Um no. I'm not from here, I was just visiting."

"Oh! That's amazing! Where from? You chose a great time to visit. I promise you getting robbed isn't something that happens often." Edmund reassured.

"I'm glad. And I come from outside of the village. A nearby one." He said easily.

"That's cool. I haven't traveled at all."

"Oh? Why not?" He asked nicely.

"Oh no reason really? I just haven't had the chance I guess? Hehe. So have you tried the candy apples? The pies?" Edmund asked.

"No...I haven't." Pumpkin said.

"Well you need to! They are amazing." He said buying one of each.

Pumpkin, took the apple, and took a bit.

Edmund looked to his shadow covered face.

"Well?" He asked eager to know.

"It's really good."

"It is!" He took the apple on the stick back, and gave him a pie slice.

Pumpkin chuckled and took a bite.

"Pumpkin pie?" He asked.

"Do you not have it in your village?"

"...No actually. We don't." He admitted.

"Well how is it?" Edmund asked eager to know again.

"It's unique? It's not too sweet or plan? It's good nonetheless."

"I'm glad! I can show you all of the festivities? The dance? The stands? And I can even show you hidden area." He whispered.

"Hidden areas?" He asked intrigued and curious.

"Yep! There's some hidden gems. But that's last!" He said grabbing his hand and showing him lots of stalls.

Pumpkin stood next to him.

He nodded and asked lots of questions, showing that he was interested.

"I'm impressed, you really made all of these?" Pumpkin asked the stall keeper.

"Yes I did." The older women said.

"And these gems? Are they real?" He asked looking at a bright red gem in the middle of a necklace.

"Some of them. This side have real gems, this said they are all fake but look identical." She said truthfully.

Pumpkin was amazed that she admitted them.

"These are incredible. You did amazing on them." He praised.

"Thank you that means a lot."

Edmund was a bit away but still at that stall, he was staring at a men's ring. It was silver, with red crevices.

He looked to the price...

When they left the stall, Edmund took him to the center of the town.

Festive music was playing,

"Do you know how to dance?" Edmund asked.

"Um-"

Edmund grabbed his hand and brought him to the center, dancing crazily around everyone.

They heard laughing and the villagers were clapping and cheering them on.

Edmund wrapped his arm around him and danced around him.

Pumpkin soon followed though it was a lot less graceful.

When they left the center to get something to drink and relax. Pumpkin couldn't help but think about everything. The music was lively, and the dancing was fun, the stall owners were nice and actually seemed thoughtful.

So...maybe his Kingdom wasn't in any bad shape?

But he had to make sure...

"May I ask you something?" Pumpkin asked looking to Edmund.

"Of course?" Edmund said cheeks still flush.

"Are you...Happy here with the village, with the Kingdom, and the King?" Pumpkin asked.

Edmund stood there, he was messing with his dirty orange cloak.

"There's...always issues with any Kingdom." Edmund said.

"So that's a no-" Pumpkin asked.

"It's. King Enji is..." Edmund sighed.

"He's rough, um...It took a long time to even get this festival, he didn't want it, claiming it would make us weak. Vulnerable. In a lot of our opinions, he seems more military oriented.

You asked why I haven't traveled? My parents work outside of the village? We make our food, but it's not just for ourselves, but for the others." He looked to the villagers, Pumpkin followed.

"Our Kingdom doesn't have many allies, we only have each other, we work so hard and...I fear our King is so worried about an attack that he's neglecting us."

"Your starving?" Pumpkin asked.

"A lot of the food you see is from our farm? We planted a huge field and...I mean we're okay? The King is trying-"

"Edmund?" Pumpkin said firmly, worried.

Edmund looked to him.

"Please I'm...curious. What are all of the issues?"

"We're supposed to be celebrating?" Edmund tried.

"And we will. Just...tell me." He begged, like he could solve any of it...

"I believe I promised you a hidden gem?" Edmund said.

"Yes you did. Is it here in the village?" Pumpkin asked.

"Nope! Outside of the walls." Edmund took his hand and pulled him out.

Pumpkin looked around, memorizing the way, the trees that they passed, the flowers that were slowly dying cause of the cold.

And when they stopped, Pumpkin was...shocked.

In front of him was a field of sunflowers.

"What? I've never seen this before?"

"Hehe! If course not! One you don't live here. (remember that was the lie he told him) And two it's my family's. Well it's sort of mine really." Edmund agreed.

"You planted these?" Pumpkin asked.

"I did more than that!" Edmund took his hand and they walked down a trail, and when Pumpkin looked around.

"It's a maze?" He said in realization.

"Yep! I did this for fun! I have the map memorized." He said lightly tapping the side of his head.

Pumpkin followed him, well he was practically being dragged behind him. And when they got to the middle...it was a little rest area.

There was a bench, a small garden of pumpkins, and a lantern.

"Okay this is definitely the best thing about this Kingdom." Pumpkin said.

Edmund blushed and hid his face.

Pumpkin sat next to him on the bench.

"This is amazing." Pumpkin said again.

"You all...uh really took care of yourselves." He said sadly, guilty.

"It's okay. That's what us commoners do." Edmund laughed.

"You shouldn't have to though? Your King should be helping you." He said angrily, his hands clenching, his fist turning white.

Edmund grabbed his hand.

"It's okay Pumpkin, we're okay. We can only hope that our next King will do something-"

"He will." Pumpkin said urgently.

"I swear. He will help you all, he will make sure that your rightfully compensated, he will make sure that no one goes hungry. And he will make sure that your all given festivals once a month instead of once a year!" He said.

Edmund sat there, his hand still holding his.

"Oh...Um hehe. That will be nice. But uh spoken promises mean nothing, actions in this case do."

Pumpkin nodded and held his hand tighter.

Edmund lifted his hand and slowly thumbed his cheek.

Pumpkin looked to him, he should stop him, but he didn't. Instead, he selfishly leaned in and kissed him.

"I guess this is it..." Edmund said looking to the darkening sky.

"Yes. I suppose it is." Pumpkin said just as upset as him.

"Here." Edmund said.

Pumpkin turned and watched as he took out a bag.

"As a thank you for everything today."

Pumpkin laughed seeing the pumpkin pie slice.

"I should be thanking you." He said taking out his own bag and holding it to him.

Edmund actually pouted.

"I wanted to be nice! I-"

Pumpkin laughed.

Edmund stopped and instead joined in and took it.

He opened it and saw the ring...The same silver ring with glowing red crevices.

"I saw you eyeing it." Pumpkin said.

"Thank you...Thank you." He hugged him.

Pumpkin this time hugged him tightly, really really upset.

"I hope that I can see you again. Someday." Edmund said softly in his ear.

"I hope so too." He only said pulling away and looking to his lips.

He leaned in and kissed him again, fully knowing that this may be the last time.

When he pulled him away, he looked to him, his thumb rubbing his cheek.

"I uh...I..." Pumpkin stuttered.

"I know." Edmund said.

"You know?" Pumpkin said, worried.

Edmund nodded.

"I'm sorry."

"Don't be. It was nice. I hope you keep your word....Pumpkin." He smirked and slowly stepped back and left. Going back to his hut outside of the village walls.
