(You're in Yuna's pov)
The city smelled like wet concrete and smoke. I had barely caught my breath after the game, but the pounding in my chest wasn’t just from running. I sank onto the cemented stairs from the Borderlands, hugging my knees anxiously, trying to make sense of the chaos around me. I had succesfully survived the first few games, all thanks to a courageous team that I had been with then. And all thanks to my older brother, Sohta. I couldn't exactly trust the rest at first, that's why I always clung to him. We bonded so closely because of the car crash, where we both lost our parents in. We've promised ourselves to honor them, that we would always stick together, no matter the situation.
As I was aimlessly lost in thought, I suddenly heard calculated footsteps hitting the concrete stairs. I fixed my posture instinctively, letting my arms rest to my sides as I looked behind to see the source of the footsteps. Before I could react, this strangely pretty young woman sat next to me, in a more playful way then I would admit. She met my eyes with a calculating glare, eyeing my up and down before scoffing.
"I haven't seen ya around here, are you all alone?"
The young woman asked. I found her curiousity to be annoyingly invasive, my patience already worn thin from the chaos the games had caused me. But I couldn't deny, she was... really pretty. I liked her cyan neatly trimmed hair, every light that cast on it, showing an euphoric glow.
I felt strangely interested in socializing with this individual, unlikely of the shy and introverted nature that I had. It just felt...right. "Ahem.. I go along with a group, but we've just finished one of the games, the one with the train and the gass and all that stuff.. My brother is currently helping one of the wounded individuals, so I went to rest somewhere." I said, my voice slightly shaky from the flashbacks in the last game, the people losing their life violently to toxic gas, it all drove me to insanity second by second.. I just wanted to go home. "Ah, I see." The cyan haired girl started, turning her body to face mine as she reached for her pocket, taking out a dusty sketchbook with a marker, starting to sketch something. "I can't bring myself to trust anyone here, I'm more likely to survive when i'm certain my survival is guaranteed." She mumbled under her breath mockingly, her head tilting down to continue sketching the drawing. I peeked, looking at the upside down anime figure she had been drawing. My breath hitched in my throat, realizing that she was making a sketch of me. "You're really great at drawing." I told her in a soft tone, my bangs slightly getting messed up due to the sudden breeze of wind, making my furrowed curious eyebrows more evident. The young woman just smirked, her other hand coming up to fiddle with her layered grey necklaces. "I'm glad you think so, i'm really passionate about my drawings."
