   Summary

   After years of torturing humans, AM has disappeared. It has been weeks, months, maybe even years, since it last spoke to or tortured them. Its complex occasionally shuts down or flickers, or even leaves them without light for days, but not enough to drive them crazy. It's failing, Ted knows. Gorrister is regaining hope; Nimdok, his memory; Benny, his humanity; Ellen, her autonomy; and Ted... his sanity, he supposes. And AM? Updating itself, perhaps.
