Bart Simpson sat bored in front of the TV. He flicked through the channels but couldn't find anything interesting . Krusty 's toys didn't keep him entertained either . Unfortunately , he couldn't go to Milhouse . His latest stunt ended in detention , but not just any detention . Marge knew her son would sneak out at the first opportunity. So she asked Sheriff Wiggum to put an electronic ankle bracelet on Bart .
Bart , of course, was n't happy because he had to spend the next two weeks under house arrest. Plus, summer break had started , so he was n't happy about losing those two weeks .
- This TV sucks! - Bart shouted irritably.
- Learn a lesson ! You should n't have let the rats into the pool!- said Lisa , who had just entered the living room with a satisfied smile .
I just managed to do a bit of it
- Only now you 'll be staying at home, and I'll be able to visit the amusement park that just came to town- she leaned towards her brother - and they 're only supposed to be there for a week . "
- What?! I'm lucky ! - the boy shouted .
- I 'm going to Lucy's and we're going to his place . See you later!- Lisa said and left the house .
As Lisa left the kitchen, Marge came out with little Maggie . She approached her son.
- I know it 's hard for you, but it's for your own good.
- Yeah, right - the boy muttered
- I have a request for you . When you get home
Bart shrugged .
- Ehh, okay. What should I do ?
- I signed up for art classes at the community center .
- Okay - he said slowly .
- But I won't be able to take Maggie with me , so she 'll stay with you , Grandpa.
- Wait, if he's staying with me , why does grandpa have to come ?
- You watch Maggie, and Grandpa will watch you .
- Clever. I need to appreciate you more .
- Thank you
Abe Simpsons entered the Simpson house .
- Okay, I'm here.
- Just in time - Maggie sat down on the couch next to Bart. She waved at them and left .
- Okay, make room for Grandpa- Abe said .
When Bart and Maggie made room on the couch, Abe sat down and immediately began snoring with his mouth open . Maggie and Bart exchanged a look. Bart sighed .
- It can't get any more boring . to be
Maggie looked at her brother with a sad face , looked around and took one of her toys - a stuffed rabbit and started waving it in front of his face .
- It's not the same, Maggie. If only I could get out of the house and go to the amusement park !
Maggie glanced at her brother's ankle . She noticed the electronic bracelet . She got off the sofa and went to her brother's leg. She grabbed a toy ninja sword and used it to make a yak. The lock on the electronic bracelet popped open , and Bart 's leg was free. Maggie quickly put the bracelet on the stuffed rabbit so as not to arouse Wiggum 's suspicions .
- Maggie , you 're brilliant ! - Bart said , hugging his sister .
Grandpa 's snoring sounded
- He 'll sleep for a long time - He looked back at his sister - I can't leave you with him . If something happens to you, we 'll all be in trouble . - Maggie looked at her brother with sad eyes - Ehh, okay, you 'll come with me .
Maggie nodded in agreement . Bart, with his sister in his arms , crept quietly to the exit . When they emerged from the front of the house, Bart looked around to make sure no one he knew saw him, then, with Maggie in his arms , he walked toward the garage .
Bart left his sister on the garage floor and headed for his bike . Just as he was about to mount it , he had an epiphany .
-I don't have anything for Maggie!- he thought for a moment , looked around the garage , and saw Lisa 's old bicycle basket. He reluctantly approached it.
- It's a bit girly , but I can modify it to fit my bike.
Maggie started laughing and clapping her hands .
- Shh! - he covered her mouth - We can't wake up Grandpa - he took the little girl in his arms - walk , there should be paints somewhere here .
They quickly located the paint cans. There weren't many, but it was enough for them . Bart painted the basket black and red. He was very pleased with his work. As he admired his handiwork , little Maggie , while crawling , knocked over one of the paint cans. When she saw what she had done, she started to cry .
- Hey, nothing happened .Relax - Bart soothed - Look - Bart dipped his hand into the stain and left his handprint on the basket . When Maggie saw this , she calmed down and did the same .
- See! Now it looks like our escape team's logo!- he said proudly, then he placed the basket on the front of the bike and carefully placed Maggie inside- Hold on tight!
Bart slowly wheeled Maggie 's bike out of the garage . When he didn't see anyone , he mounted his bike and headed toward the amusement park . To be safe , he took various shortcuts and side roads .
- Just two more blocks and we 'll be there - said the boy to his sister
Suddenly he heard the sound of Sheriff Wiggum 's patrol car! With a quick maneuver, he hid behind a pile of garbage that happened to be nearby .
Wiggum and Lou came out of the radio station
- Boss, this is the third stop for donuts since the police station.
- Remember Lou, it's never too late for a doughnut !
The two headed toward the store , avoiding the pile of trash behind which Maggie and Bart were hiding . When the police left, the children sighed with relief and emerged from their hiding place.
- It was a little short
After a few minutes, the children reached the amusement park . Bart hid his bike behind some bushes so no one could see it . He took Maggie out of the basket and started to head for the entrance , but Maggie stopped him .
- What's wrong, little one ?- he asked, confused . The baby pointed to a pile of costumes left by the town workers .
- Good idea . We'd better disguise ourselves so Lisa doesn't give us away .
Bart and his sister approached the costume counter unnoticed . For himself, he found a Sneaky Fox costume — one of his favorite characters from the old Krusty shows — and for Maggie, he found a teddy bear costume.
- This is the only one you can fit into . I hope it suits you? - Maggie gave a thumbs - up sign . Then they both entered the amusement park unnoticed .
- Where would you go first ?
Bart looked around the cheerful, bustling amusement park. The air smelled of cotton candy and popcorn, and the sounds of joy and mechanical rides echoed everywhere.
- Okay, Maggie, what’s first?- he asked, lifting her higher so she could see better.
Maggie, in her bear costume, reached out and pointed at the large, rocking pirate ship.
- Ooh, a pirate ship, huh? I thought you'd go for something... more extreme - Bart smiled - But hey... why not!
He and Maggie approached the bored attraction operator.
- Two tickets, please ! - the boy said, placing the money on the counter . The operator , with a bored expression, handed the tickets to Bart.
- Have a nice ride , said the bored operator .
The children boarded the pirate ship. Bart placed Maggie safely next to him. Once the attraction was full , it began . Bart and Maggie swayed with the motion of the ship. After a few minutes, the ride ended . The children both exited happily . Bart felt a surge of energy . They visited a few more rides and ate ice cream .
- Where to now ? - asked Bart after eating the ice cream .
Maggie pointed to a roller coaster called " Speed Raccoon . " This brought a huge smile to her brother 's face.
- "Speedy Raccoon"? Perfect - Bart rejoiced and headed towards the operator with his sister in his arms . They bought tickets as before, but this time the operator was more awake
- Have a nice ride, kids! - said the operator.
Bart and Maggie headed for the cable car. He safely placed his sister and sat down next to her. After a few seconds, the cable car began moving . Passengers waved their arms and shouted with joy . After the descent , the cable car screeched to a halt .
- That was quite a ride - the boy shouted , but was quickly silenced by his sister 's hand . Maggie pointed to the cotton candy stand where Lisa and Lucy were standing .
- Ooh! I have to hide somewhere - he whispered , and started looking around for a hiding place . But this time he was unlucky . The cotton candy stand was right next to the roller coaster operator 's stand , so he 'd have to pass by them to continue .
- What to do here ?" Bart muttered , finally coming up with something - This is definitely a stupid idea-He took Maagie under his arm , backed up a bit , and jumped over the small fence that separated the queue and the cotton candy stand . They landed deep in the bushes.
- I think I heard something - Lisa said .
As Lisa started looking around , Lucy saw Maggie in her bear suit and Bart in the leaves behind her friend , his costume slightly torn by the bushes. Lucy raised an eyebrow, but instead of saying anything, she just smiled faintly and looked away .
- It's probably the queue - said Lucy - Come on , let 's go see the petting zoo
The girls started heading towards the small zoo . When he was far away , Maggie and Bart came out of hiding.
- That was close . I wonder why she didn't turn us in - Bart asked . Maggie shrugged at his words , then a notification sounded on the boy 's cell phone . Bart pulled out his phone and looked at the notification.
From Lucy
Be careful ! I saw one of the policemen .
let's meet at the toilets
- Do you think we should meet her - the boy asked
Maggie nodded in agreement .
- Lucy seems nice and pretty ... What am I talking about? Oh, but if she 's as strict as Lisa , it might be a trap .
Mggie nods her head
- On the other hand, we have to get out unnoticed , and our disguises are ruined - Maggie had enough of her brother 's considerations and pulled him by the hand towards the toilets
Bart and Maggie approached the public restrooms, hidden behind a row of balloon and popcorn stands. There was a fair amount of traffic around, so Bart tried to look like a normal kid with a little sister, not like a fugitive from house arrest.
Lucy was already there. She was standing by the vending machine, pretending to insert a coin. As Bart approached, she glanced around discreetly, then whispered,
- I thought you'd get caught. Lisa was so close to discovering it was you in that costume.
- I know, I know...-Bart replied, looking around nervously. - Thanks for not telling her
- Don't worry, I can keep a secret - She smiled faintly, then looked at Maggie, who was still wearing her teddy bear costume. - And this is your partner in crime?
Maggie pulled out her pacifier and blew a bubble like bubblegum, which made Lucy laugh.
- Listen - she said seriously, leaning toward Bart - I saw Wiggum walking past the balloon stand. Then she saw the other policemen
- Great, so my brilliant plan is about to fall apart - Bart groaned. - How am I supposed to get out of here with cops and Lisa everywhere?
Lucy looked at the amusement park map hanging on a nearby fence.
- There's a staff area here, behind the restrooms. A narrow alley leads straight to the parking lot. There shouldn't be any staff there
- You're brilliant ! -Bart said , and in his delight he grabbed the girl and kissed her cheek . Maggie's eyes widened at the sight and she dropped her pacifier .
When the shock wore off , Bart awkwardly backed away , took Maggie in his arms , and said
- That's it... for now - and at a quick pace he and his sister went towards the back of the employees ' room , leaving the shocked girl behind .
Bart and Maggie discreetly opened the back door, looked around, and breathed a sigh of relief . No one was there , just as Lucy had predicted. The smell was of cotton candy, grease, and slightly burnt popcorn. Old amusement park posters hung on the walls.
-These posters are cool - Bart said. Maggie nudged her brother 's sleeve and pointed to the door leading to the parking lot.
Once on the other side, they headed for the bushes where they 'd hidden their bike. They managed to get there unnoticed . They changed into their street clothes and headed home . The ride to the Simpsons' house was also uneventful . Only when they were next to Flanders did Bart hear the familiar sound of Marge 's car .
- We have to hurry .
Maggie smacked her pacifier in agreement .
Bart quickly drove into the garage and grabbed his sister from the basket. They ran into the living room, and he set his sister down on the floor and sat on the couch . Just as the door opened , Bart noticed he was missing his blindfold.
- Headband - he whispered to his sister
Maggie took the bandage off the stuffed animal and gave it to the boy , who quickly put it on his leg.
- Are you still watching TV ? - Marge asked as she entered the house .
- Yes, we had no idea what to do . And Grandpa, he sleeps well next to her - said Bart , then the old man's snoring was heard .
- Well, you better come up with something , otherwise you 'll spend the next few days like this - said the mother , who headed for the kitchen .
- Don't worry - replied Bart and smiled at his sister - You know what , little one , punishment seems much more fun when we spend it together - he tickled his sister on the belly . The baby laughed
Suddenly Bart was struck by lightning.
- I kissed Lucy Burtton !
