The first time it happened, she was at her boyfriends’ house in the middle of a jam/brainstorming session when the first clap of thunder rang out. They all jumped as thunder rang out once more.
They looked out the window to see the bright, sunny day being replaced by dark, stormy clouds that flashed with white lightning and vomited out buckets of rain.
It had happened so quickly and without warning that it had to be Mother Nature being sick or Gargamel casting a curse on their village. It was supposed to be clear for the next few days.
They had decided to bet (Without money. They weren’t going to have a repeat of that mess) on who it was. Rocky bet on Gargamel. Glammy bet on Mother Nature. Meteorite bet on some weather shaman back in the Forbidden Forest tripping and messing up a rain dance. Again
They both looked at Meteorite in confusion and she shrugged, explaining that it had happened a few times before now. Mostly because of Mint, who seemed to be the counterpart of Clumsy as far as they were aware.
At any rate, they were stuck in here until the rain let up. Which meant this would be Meteorite’s first time staying overnight in their home.
Which no one was prepared for.
So, they had to improvise.
They had given Meteorite some of their spare pyjamas to wear when it was time to go to sleep. They continued their jam session for a little bit before deciding to bring out some snacks and watch some movies while snuggled up on the couch.
There had been a bit of a scuffle over the remote between the brothers, but Meteorite had yoinked it away from them, saying that as the guest, she should get to pick, right?
The looks on their faces as they blushed embarrassed made her day and she couldn’t help but laugh as she tried to pick a movie. Not helped by the two deciding to tickle her out of revenge.
Eventually, she managed to pick a few movies. Musicals. Sci-Fi movies. All the good stuff.
After the mini-marathon of movies, they decided to retire to the bed and catch a few winks…
The second time it happened, it was at Smurfy Grove after one of their bigger concerts. They had lost track of time and by the time any of them bothered to ask, it was late at night.
And…both of the brothers really didn’t want to travel through the Forbidden Forest at night. Alone. In the dark. When the things that went bump in the night came out.
Absolutely no way in hell they were going to do that. So…they had decided to stay the night at Meteorite’s.
Unlike last time, they were a bit more prepared. While staying at Meteorite’s hut, the brothers had learned a bit more about their new friends. About Meteorite’s life growing up. About how the Smurf Girls’ elemental magic work.
It also answered the brothers’ questions about how the Smurf Girls’ house survived the rain. Turned out the answer was magic.
Anyway, just like their first time, it had been amazing and like last time, they had drifted off in each other’s arms…
