Sophia always has had a bold, intimidating, and wise aura around her. The type where at first glance she may seem a shy nerd, but soon when you see her walk with the confidence of a lady knowing state secrets. Not only that, she was one of the few who willingly volunteered at school theatre clubs, sometimes taking the initiative of being a leader. Point is, she was untouchable. Not just because of her wit but also because her two best friends: Manon and Megan- flanks around her like a human shield. Even though they are much more outgoing they manage to rope Sophia in their shenanigans.
Daniela on the other hand is much more easier to read and talk to. While Sophia has a "Please don't bother me but if you talk to me I'll be polite" Daniela is more of a "Bother me and you're gone" look. In reality she is absolutely wild and energetic while being kept-together enough to not embarrass herself. She is the school's golden crown, unobtainable. Deep down behind those piercing wild eyes, is a soft personality with a love of all things artistic and dance. Nobody can swoon her with one-sided words scratched onto paper. Her two friends Lara, probably holds the record of most friendgroups and Yoonchae, the basketball player by day and tech geek by night; mostly make sure she doesn't say the wrong things to the wrong people.
Guess they could be described as an owl and a lion. Both predators in their own ways and aren't afraid to flaunt it. With Sophia being as observant and patient as an owl, their shiny feathers a resemblance to her raven coloured hair. She doesn't brag about her position of being a leader and has endless wisdom and philosophy to give. Then Daniela a fierce lion, her curls a stark contrast to a lion's mane. She keeps her head high with confidence that matches the feeling of leadership a lion would brag about. Daniela just has that flowy way of movement when she dances that takes people's breaths away and she is definitely tries to be smug about it but unfortunately cannot handle compliments without a bunch of thank yous.
So duh, their worlds are a thousand miles away from the other. So why did Sophia the filipina nerd suddenly feels as if her heart might rip out of her chest as soon as she watches her performance? Every line she memorized weeks before this moment. Her heart falters every time she looks the lioness in the eyes. It all began with Megan and Manon.
