The Jester

Summary:

In one universe, Charlie disappeared and the Joker appeared. But in another, she disappeared and Jester appeared.

And Jester only has one goal for Hell: Bring comfort and laughter!

Chapter 1: The Jester

-{7 Years Ago}-

 

 

During a cold night in Hell, where people would feel much better indoors, there was an accident at a chemical factory.

 

 

In the pond nearby, where waste was found, someone fell from the pouring drain, landing into the chemical water. She slowly swam to shore.

 

 

This person's head was… empty, per say. As she couldn't remember who she was or why she was here. She looked at her hands, which made her eyes widen in shock.

 

 

Her nails were permanently different colors on both hands. On her thumbs, pink nails. The index fingers were light blue. The middle ones were yellow. The ring fingers had red nails. Her pinkies were lime.

 

 

This confused her, but a conveniently placed mirror right by the shore allowed her to look at her face. She had a puppy nose and clown looking spots on her cheeks. The right one was blue, the left was yellow. And it appeared she had heterochromia, as her right eye was green, but the left was purple. Her lips were now naturally orange too. And her hair was permanently red.

 

 

She looked at herself for a second, before laughing fondly. Her laugh was calm, innocent, and adorable. When she stopped laughing, she smiled slightly. 

 

 

“Wow, I look a little silly. I'm still pretty, but now I'm a rainbow! Hehe. Maybe I can use this to my advantage and make people happy and laugh!”

 

 

With a happy smile on her face, she walked right into town, excited to start a career in comedy. She didn't remember her name, so she called herself Jester!

Chapter 2: Ask #1

Jester was wearing a bright colored cap 'n bells, which patterns match that of a rainbow. She wore a yellow vest, which was covered in purple dots, over a blue button up shirt that was covered in green stars, along with her lime bow tie. Her suit pants were pink and covered with red stars. She wore dress shoes that were the same shape, but different colors, as the right was yellow and the left was blue. Her look was complete with red cotton gloves. 

 

 

She smiled awkwardly, rubbing her neck shyly. "I met her... but she was very mean to me... she even spat on my vest. She threw a pie in my face, thankfully with no bear trap. Because I didn't wanna..." Jester shook in sadness. "-hurt people, she said I was... useless and..." She covered her face with her gloved hands and sobbed softly. "She called me the R-word!"

Chapter 3: Ask #2

Summary:

Have you heard about the rumors that your lost daughter is alive but now has amnesia and become the jester? What do you think of the jester?"

Lucifer Morningstar was the king of Hell and head of the Morningstar Crime Syndicate. Every inch of crime in the city ran through him. If someone committed a crime and didn't give him his cut, he'd turn their insides into outsides.

 

 

He was smoking a cigar. Lucifer was wearing his pink robe with duckie slippers as he answered the question. He spoke with an Italian accent. "Ah, capisce! Eez I know-a who she eez-a!" He took a puff of his cigar, before exhaling the smoke. "I got my best-a men, see, they’re lookin’ for-a her. They gotta bring-a her to me. Alive, you hear? And no-a scratch-a on her face. And when I catch-a that palooka clown again..." 

 

 

Suddenly, he started trembling, dropping his cigar, before tears slid down his face. His real accent took over. "I'm gonna hug her..." The Devil fell to his knees, sobs escaped his throat. "I miss her.... so much! I should've protected her. Kept her out of the family business! But noooooo! I let her be a loan shark and a hit man! That's what led to her getting hurt..."

 

 

Lilith, his lovely wife, walked over to him, falling to her knees alongside him, as she pulled Lucifer into her arms, resting his head against her chest. She took over. Usually, she'd speak in a fake, yet convincing Russian accent. But not this time.

 

 

"She keeps running away from us when we do find her. She doesn't remember her own family! She thinks we'll... hurt her... WE'D NEVER DO THAT!! But we'll find her... we'll hug her... and we won't lose her again."

 

 

The rest of the sins magically appeared in the room, giving turning it into a group hug. Lucifer smiled in appreciation as he returned the hug.

 

 

Crime wasn't the only thing that kept this family together. It was love! And with the love they all had for Charlie, they'd find Jester and protect her. And this time, they'd work together to preserve her newfound innocence.

Chapter 4: Ask #3

Jester chuckled. "I only use laughing gas when attacked, but it just makes people laugh for twenty minutes for so. And I don't use tickle machines, as that takes away a bit of the fun from laughter. So I just tickle my friend, Verosika with my own hands. But I don't know why Verosika let's me hang around with her in the first place... in fact, I don't think anyone likes me, to be honest..."

 

 

Jester looked on the verge of tears, but shook her head and smiled. "But even if she's just doing it to make the audience laugh, at least she treats me fairly. Hopefully, she'll view me as a friend one day."

Inside of her mansion, Verosika felt a great disturbance in the force. "I feel like my best friend, Jester, is incredibly sad for some reason... I'll invite her over tomorrow, give her some cuddles. Hopefully, she'll know that people love her."

Jester pondered, before answering. "Hide Away by Synapson. But, for some reason, at one of the comedy clubs, someone offered me 50 grand to chase them through the city in my underwear. He was then dragged out of the club by two guys. After a couple of minutes, both of them returned, covered in ketchup. I guess they were messy eaters."

Lucifer was smoking his cigar, while meeting his counterpart. "So... what happened to your face?"

 

 

The right half of his face looked the same, but the left half looked like something out of a horror movie. While his skin was healed on the left, it looked absolutely ragged and burnt, with deep craters as it was horribly scarred. The teeth on the left side of his jaw were exposed, as most of his left cheek was absolutely destroyed in the acid. The hair on the left side of his head was now black. And his left eyelid was gone, leaving his left eye nearly popping out of his eye socket. 

 

 

His clothes were split down the middle. The clothes on his right side looked the same as ever, but on his left side, his clothes were completely black with skull patterns sown in and his left sleeve looked like it had been ripped off.

 

 

They laughed. "Our daughter... threw acid on our face." Then, the other one took over. "But we'll do anything to help her."

 

 

Lucifer nodded at his variant. "I can respect that. Family is every."

Lilith met her counterpart. "So, you're my variant? How's our lovely daughter from your dimension doing?"

 

 

The other Lilith laughed. "Oh, I threw that little bitch in a vat of chemicals, after carving a smile on her face."

 

 

Lilith flinched, her eyes widened I dread. "...what?"

 

 

Her alternate laughed. "I used to beat our useless, little shit all the time. But at least I got to have sex with her, but only after putting a gun to her head. I licked the tears off her face. The only good thing about my daughter was her hot body~."

 

 

Lilith looked at her alternate in disgust, before rage took over. Her demonic features came into view.

 

 

"I'M GONNA KILL YOU!!!!!"

 

 

Lilith punched her alternate in the face. While she was down, she continued to punch the vile version of her in the face, repeatedly.

Vaggie was looking at her alternate. "So, you're a savior?"

 

 

Her alternate nodded. "I keep Hell save. But my arch nemesis, The Joker, And I... we have a... complicated relationship."

 

 

Vaggie nodded, before smirking. "Can't say I blame you. Cause I love my Jester."

Jester met Joker, obviously scared. 

 

 

"H-hi, again, Joker... you're not gonna.... say something very mean and hurtful to me... right?"

 

 

Joker laughed. "Don't worry, you useless, retarded freak. I'll save skinning you alive for another day. But I'll savor your screams."

 

 

Jester looked saddened, like she was about to cry. Before her Uncle Ozzie appeared, scooped her up in her arms, and the two of them laughed. 

 

 

Joker sighed when they were gone. "I wish I had an uncle like that.... or at least one that I didn't gut, cause I fuckin skinned Ozzie in my dimension."

Lilith was being pulled away from her heavily injured alternate by Bee and Satan. She was screaming cuss words, even as she was going through the portal back to their dimension.
