WIP. Last read: ch 19
This story makes me want to use the whole story as excerpts; it’s that cute and funny. Precocious six year old (menace to society) Scorpius Malfoy decides he wants his preschool teacher to be his mum.
- Ch : Scorpius’ cute dinner date menu
- Excerpts from ch 3: [Scorpius eyed her suspiciously. “Are you sure you don’t want to marry my dad?”
“Scorpius!”
“What? It’s a simple question.”
Hermione hummed, tapping her chin in mock consideration. “Hmm. He is quite grumpy. But I do appreciate his commitment to coffee. That’s a strong foundation.”
Draco groaned. “I regret everything about today.”
Scorpius grinned. “I don’t.”
And as he happily dunked another biscuit into his cocoa, Draco had a sinking feeling that this was only the beginning, a headache was forming. It was the kind of headache that came from knowing he had lost control of the situation approximately twelve minutes ago and that regaining it was a distant dream.
Scorpius, meanwhile, was conducting his matchmaking efforts with the precision of a small, cocoa-fueled general. He leaned forward, resting his chin in his hands, eyes sparkling with mischief.
“So, Miss Granger, do you like Quidditch?”
Hermione blinked at the sudden shift in interrogation. “I mean, it’s fine. I understand the appeal, but I wouldn’t say I’m a die-hard fan.”
Scorpius nodded sagely. “Good. Dad is insufferable about it, so that would balance things out.”
“I am not insufferable,” Draco muttered into his coffee.
Scorpius ignored him completely. “Miss Granger, how do you feel about books?”
Hermione chuckled. “I think my entire life speaks for itself on that front.”
Scorpius beamed. “Excellent. Dad also reads a lot. He used to read everything—his favorite is Ulysses, but lately, he’s been too busy, so it’s mostly business-y, boring stuff. But I bet you could fix that.”
“Fix what?” Draco demanded. “I don’t need fixing!”
Scorpius waved him off. “We’ll circle back.”
Draco exhaled sharply and pinched the bridge of his nose. “Granger, if you don’t stop encouraging him—”
“What? He’s being very thorough,” Hermione said, barely containing her amusement. “Honestly, I admire the commitment.”
Scorpius nodded. “Thank you, Miss Granger. See, Dad? She understands me.”
Draco groaned.] -

Excerpt: [He watched in awe as all his best friends mingled amongst each other and with Granger’s friends. His parents played with his son, his father racing behind the toy broom making sure Scorpius didn’t fall off as his mother laughed, a sound he didn’t think he would ever hear again. When they sang happy birthday, Scorpius climbed into his lap and wrapped his little arms around his neck. He didn’t know this boy. He had never seen him in his life. But this was his son. His and Granger’s son. And he was perfect. His big grey eyes that matched his own were filled with so much innocence and love, and his laugh was enough to make Draco’s heart feel like it could explode. His son.]

Summary
From his left, Draco heard Blaise’s breath hitch and he knew immediately that he must have seen Hermione. Draco turned his head and found his witch, fuck no longer his witch, across the room with her back to him. Her beautiful chocolate curls cascaded down her back in loose ringlets. He gulped as he noticed how the green silk of her dress molded to her perfect ass like a second skin. His heart started beating erratically when he noticed her hand was holding the hand of a man that Draco hadn’t spoken to in months, Theodore Nott.
“Draco…” Blaise whispered.
Rage started building in Draco’s chest as his breathing became hard to control. The possessive beast that used to thrive in Draco when he and Hermione were still together woke from its slumber to roar loudly.
Time stopped though when Hermione turned and again, Draco felt as if all the air left his lungs.
Hermione actually was pregnant.
