Summary
Why did they want Merlin? Did they know who he was? Or was it just because he seemed like the weakest of the group. If he does end up being captured, and it is because of his magic, how on earth will he explain it to Arthur? And how did they even know about him in the first place? The druids, Kilgarrah. Gaius and Lancelot, along with his mother, were the only ones who knew, and he knew none of them would ever betray him willingly. An ice-cold feeling ran up his spine as he thought of his mother - had they captured her? tortured her for information?
He stumbled as a sharp feeling of pain hit his leg, one of the bandits was on his heel and had lashed out with their sword, nicking Merlin's leg in the process.*

Summary
“I’m sorry, sire,” he said ‘sire’ like he always might, mockingly and with no real intention for politeness behind it. “My Soulmate has been such a bother, I keep getting dragged and tugged everywhere.”
Arthur gave him an annoyed look, possibly still jealous, and rolled his eyes, pretending to be uncaring. Merlin rolled his eyes, knowingly, then bent down, and picked up the String on the floor where it lay.
