For as long as Bruno Madrigal could remember he could only see the world around him in shades of grey, this was because he had yet to meet his soulmate.
A soulmate was supposed to be your ideal romantic partner, the special person who an individual was fated to one day spend the rest of their life with.
Bruno had always wanted to meet his soulmate, though he had absolutely no idea who they were, even when he had lived within the walls of his family home he had always wanted to meet them.
Many times he had wondered to himself what his soulmate’s name would be, he had wondered many times what they might look like and what kind of person they were. He had never received any prophecies about himself ever meeting his soulmate so everything about his soulmate was a complete mystery to him.
Though maybe this was a good thing so as when he could finally get the chance to meet the one he was intended for it would be special and a surprise.
He hoped that when he finally met his soulmate that they would accept him, grow to love him and not mind his gift.
He was worried that he would somehow scare his soulmate away with his gift. He was worried that he would meet his soulmate and his soulmate would not want him.
One day while he was taking a walk in the village with his sisters he paused in his steps when he saw a man who for some reason seemed very special to him, despite him never meeting the other male before.
The other man looked like he could be in his late forties, just a bit younger than Bruno was. He appeared slender but slightly muscled, he had short, messy dark hair, round glasses, and a lightning bolt scar on his forehead.
Bruno thought the other man quite attractive and for some reason he felt drawn to this man, he felt that this man was special and as though something deep inside of him was telling him that it was important that he speak with this man.
Deciding to do this he excused himself from his sisters for the moment and with some slight hesitation he approached the man who was sitting down drinking a cup of coffee at a café.
As Bruno approached the man looked up at him from his seat, curiosity, and a bit of a wary look in his eyes.
For a brief moment Bruno was silent as he stood in front of the man, he couldn’t help but feel nervous. He felt unsure as to what to say to this man who he had suddenly felt himself drawn to, he felt like he wanted to say something to him but for the brief moment that he stared at the other he just stood there in silence.
As the pair stared at each other something happened, Bruno could not only see all the usual different shades of grey anymore but there was a sudden change. Bruno could now see that the man was staring at him with eyes not of grey anymore but a new colour that Bruno had never seen before and now he was silent for a completely new reason. This man’s eyes were beautiful, though he wasn’t sure what this new colour was supposed to be called, but he loved it.
Bruno now filled with emotion as he quickly realized that this must be his soulmate, there could be no other explanation as to why he would suddenly see colour on this man. He felt happy, happy that he had now found his soulmate.
The other man stood up out of his seat in surprise, awe and happiness soon appearing in the other man’s eyes that Bruno considered to be quite pretty.
The pair were silent again before one of them spoke, Harry, with words that held an English accent to them.
“Hi, my…my name is Harry,” said the man.
Bruno smiled, “My name is Bruno,” said Bruno.
“I can see a colour on you and I’ve never seen colour before so I guess this means that we’re soulmates,” said Harry.
Bruno nodded, “Yes, I think so too. I can see colour on you too!”
There was a slight pause before Bruno added, “May I sit down with you Harry?”
A thoughtful look appeared upon Harry’s face for a brief moment before he nodded, “Yes, of course” he said.
Bruno still smiling, sat down with Harry at the table.
Shortly after Bruno was staring at Harry attentively and admiring again the beautiful colour that was Harry’s eyes as Harry did the same for him. For a few moments they were silent, just absorbing the new colour that had been introduced to them before Bruno decided to speak.
“So…your eyes are very pretty Harry, I like the colour…It is very beautiful.”
Harry was smiling again, “Thank you. I like the colour in your eyes as well”
Bruno was then quiet, he wasn’t sure what else to say though he had always dreamed of the day when he would get this chance to meet his soulmate. Luckily Harry didn’t seem to mind the silence and seemed just as nervous.
Soon Harry said, “So…um…I’m on holiday here but I’d love it if we could go on a date to get to know each other.”
Panic filled Bruno at the thought of Harry one day having to leave, though he did hope that Harry was having a nice time on his holiday so far.
Bruno was quick to answer his soulmate, “Yes! Yes, of course! I wish to know you too!”
“Great!” said Harry.
The pair were soon then making arrangements for their first date together and for now attempted awkward conversation for a bit longer before Bruno returned to his sisters.
When Bruno told his sisters what had happened and who he had met they were happy and excited for him.
Julieta and Pepa then insisted the three of them look at clothing stores to find Bruno something nice and new to wear for his first date with his soulmate. Afterwards the three siblings returned home to tell the rest of the family the good news.
Harry Potter felt nervous as he returned to the small motel he was staying at for the holiday he was on, a holiday that was long overdue.
He was nervous, nervous but very happy as he had just returned after meeting his soulmate for the first ever time. Not only that but when he had met his soulmate, who he had to admit to himself was quite handsome, he had also experienced seeing colour the first time as well.
His soulmate Bruno was a thin man who looked to be a bit older than Harry was and had freckles on his face. The man had curly hair, a big pointed and somewhat rounded nose, a thin mustache, and a light beard that was shaped like an hourglass on his chin.
Harry had only just met Bruno but already liked him.
Harry started going through his suitcase to see if he had anything that would be appropriate for a date with his soulmate.
When he met his soulmate they hadn’t talked much, things had been awkward between them. Harry hadn’t known what to say to his soulmate, though it seemed that he hadn’t been the only one who had felt this way as his soulmate had barely talked to him as well.
The next day in preparation for the date Harry showered, brushed his teeth, hair the best he could, shaved and dressed in the date appropriate attire he had put aside the previous day. He was incredibly nervous, but he felt excited and happy, even more so when Bruno arrived to pick him up from the motel.
Bruno looked very handsome, he wore a suit, was clutching a bouquet of flowers in his hands and his hair looked neater, perhaps a bit shorter than when they had first met. He also was smiling nervously at Harry, Harry smiled back at him with a nervous and happy smile.
Shortly afterwards seeing each other they were both introduced to another colour causing the both of them to stare in awe at each other again before Harry spoke.
“Hi Bruno…” said Harry.
“Hello Harry” said Bruno in return. He gave Harry the flowers that he was holding, “These..These are for you”
Harry’s smile grew. Harry could only see one colour of them but he was sure that once every colour was revealed to him that he would find the flowers very beautiful.
“I’m sure they will be very beautiful Bruno, thank you,” said Harry.
“They will be” said Bruno, a shy smile on his face.
“I’ll go put them in some water and we can go then”
Bruno nodded and waited a bit before Harry returned to him, they then left to go on their date.
The restaurant they went to was nice, it had a romantic atmosphere and there was music playing.
A waitress soon approached the table and took the orders before leaving them alone again.
The pair shared an awkward silence before engaging into awkward conversation, Bruno was the first to speak.
“So, uh…you’re here on holiday?”
Harry nodded, “Yeah, I was planning on just staying a couple of weeks, but now that I’ve met you I’ll definitely be staying longer”
Bruno smiled a happy smile, “Good” he said.
Shortly afterwards they talked about family and a bit of their likes and dislikes.
They were both silent again when the food arrived as they ate and drank, though both of them enjoying themselves.
After their meals they talked a bit more before they paid for their orders and left the restaurant walking close together as Bruno walked Harry back to his motel room.
When they arrived at the motel Bruno stared at Harry nervously, “So…So, uh…Will you be wanting to do this again with me? Do…Do you er…want a relationship with me?”
Harry smiled and nodded, “Yes, Bruno” and Harry pressed a kiss very briefly to his soulmate’s lips.
It was a brief kiss but it was one that Bruno returned almost immediately and despite the brevity of the kiss it felt perfect to them.
When they parted Bruno smiled happily at Harry again, said goodnight, promised to return the next day and left the motel.
The next day they had another date and during it grew closer, getting to know each other a bit more.
They continued to have dates together, continued to learn more about each other , grow even closer and continued to experience more new colours added to their world each time that they saw each other.
Months later Harry decided to just stay in Colombia, not wanting to leave his soulmate who he had now developed strong genuine romantic feelings for, only returning back to his home in England to collect his belongings before going back to Bruno.
Not long after that Harry confessed to Bruno about being a wizard and Bruno confessed to Harry about a magical gift of his own, both men accepting each other.
