Popcorn = it doesn't have enough plot and/or character development to be anything more than shallow fun. Often coincides with the *feel-good label.
Full meal = character development, and/or world-building and/or plot is sufficient to make solidly interesting story. Read this when you have a free evening and want real meat for your mind to chew on.
Three course meal = something that really, really ought to be published, because it's downright gripping in both character development and plot. Savor this.
*Feel-good means something that doesn't do anything except pile on good feelings, generally by gradually or immediately fixing all the emotional pitfalls, angst, and physical/psychological defeats in canon. No real tension. After all, defeats and losses don't create good feelings, do they? Being a feel-good fic is not necessarily bad, but it's like eating candy: best in small doses, and not very filling. The Hedonic Treadmill is a thing.

"No. We were brought here for a reason, Sammy." He grinned at her, a flash of white teeth. "We're here to wreak havoc."
Sam was not on board with that idea. Absolutely not. They weren't here to exploit this new world. They weren't going to mess with the story just because they could. And she wasn't grinning right back at him.
No.
Of course not.
They were here to make things better. They were here with the foreknowledge of what would happen so they could help people. She wasn't thinking about how much chaos they could create, or how someone like Jim being Harry Potter was going to destroy the entire plot. And she definitely wasn't thinking about the damage they could do to just about everything with magic at their disposal.
She wasn't.
"You're right," Sam leaned across the table so they were inches apart as she whispered, "Let's fuck shit up."

By the end of the Third Shinobi War, she gained a spot in most Bingo Books with various monikers attached to her name: “Poison Apple,” “Bloody Princess,” and “The Mad Butcher.” However, a small handful of Leaf ninja had another moniker for her: "The Bloody Oracle of Kiri".
Or: An SI/OC who's already got a screwed up moral compass and fits right in with the Bloody Mist.

In the sealed scroll he finds a Bingo Book – his own page marking him as an S-class nukenin with flee-on-sight orders.
“Ok. That is definitely different.”
In his head he blames Naruto – even if his number one unpredictable student had been nowhere near him on this mission. When things go this stupidly impossibly wrong it must somehow be the future Hokage’s fault.

Alternate Title: The Snake Goes Ara Ara
By cruel trick of the fates, intervention of stupid gods, or just the apathy of an uncaring universe I find myself woken up as Orochimaru just after he had possessed a woman for his new host. Now I need to find a way to turn this hoard of sycophants and psychos into something that will not only keep me from an early grave, but also how to change it to a force of change in this messed up world.

Obi-Wan is overworking himself, again. Luckily for him, Anakin is here to help, because obviously his old master doesn't know how to take care of himself despite supposedly being an adult.
After all, what other reason for not getting sleep, besides being ridiculously fussy about paperwork, could the man possibly have?

Learn the basics of living in a world that was just a game to her before. Good thing she found a Shard hidden in her stuff that opens the door of opportunity. But like all opportunities in Night City, it usually ends up in a gunfight.
Self-Insert with a modified Cyberpunk 2077 Gamer System. Not a direct Ghost in the Shell Crossover. MC just happens to share the name.

Bookmarker's Notes
Ever read that one story written in first-person POV that rambles in a way that obliterates pacing, but somehow still pulls off a certain charm? That's this. It's the rambling, unapologetically childish internal monologue of a teenage weeb thrust from real life into the younger sister of a Night City ganger, and she's given Cyberpunk 2077's video game system as a layer to interacting with her new world. It's a premise that's begging for either pure lighthearted comedy or feel-good Mary Sue shenanigans... and while the author dances along the edge of both pitfalls (much to my entertainment), they fall into neither. The blood-soaked reality of Night City is handled well, especially from the occasional perspective of the supporting characters, and the video game system overlay gives solid justification for the MC to dodge an overdose of PTSD. (She fully embraces an adrenaline addict's form of sociopathy, which is rightfully seen as chilling by many observers.) The plot's atrocities are also softened by the comedy of the MC stubbornly clinging to her teenage determination to enjoy life, which also makes the rambling narrative style and plot more palatable. That, plus solid character growth the whole way through--for the MC and multiple others--coupled with nigh perfectly tidy grammar and syntax? The whole package is downright charming!
Full meal.

Ever wanted to see a spoof on the hero trope entirely? One where the "hero" was really just out for their own amusement and mayhem? Look no further. Comedy GOLD.
Full meal purely by virtue of plot and in-character, self-aware trolling of practically the entire cast of Harry Potter.

Fascinating exploration of Transfiguration, an equally interesting take on a psyche damaged by abuse, and how a damaged personality could be affected by said delving into Transfiguration. A solid lineup of characters are all forced to develop--or die--as they're confronted with amoral or brutally pragmatic choices. Add in a consistent, steady plot pace, a good (if predictable) plot altogether, and excellent writing style and proofreading, and this one is definitely a winner! My one minor nitpick is that no one mentions at the beginning that Transfiguration -should- be temporary, but there's the occasional exception for a very good reason, and that reason is explained too late IMHO. If this bugs you, just hang in there until the explanation is provided.
Three-course meal.

The Norse myths are a tangled, self-contradictory, downright weird (by our standards) collection of stories. But there's some rather interesting characters and hints of depth if you squint. This collection of short stories takes two of those characters--Sigyn and Loki--and springs a marathon with them. It is excellent; it is pure character and relationship growth amidst small events, and this is pure gold.
Full meal, with only the length holding it back from three courses.
