“There’s nowhere left to run, Loki.” Loki isn’t moving. In fact, he’s made no indication that he’s heard Mobius at all.
He’s just… staring at the Tesseract, the small box pulsing with unfathomable power—power that means nothing in the TVA, where stones with the power to wipe out half of the world’s population are relegated to the status of paperweight.
It’s not his apparent fascination with an utterly useless infinity stone that catches Mobius’ attention, however. It’s the dark red stain on the inside of Loki’s left thigh, that disappears between his legs… Had he been injured during his little escape attempt?

Summary
Loki could lie to himself, if he wanted to. He could be the exact person he’s always believed himself to be, the person who wouldn’t care about what happened to anyone but himself. He could lie to himself and tell himself over and over again that whatever happens to Mobius right now is the least of his concerns.
Mobius’ head falls back into the crook of Loki’s arm, and Loki decides that he doesn’t want to tell himself another lie for the rest of his life.

“It’s a shame we took so long to come to this…” Loki muses, dreamily, wondering that he had somehow existed before this without knowing the scratch of Mobius’ moustache, the graze of the stubble that he hadn’t yet gotten a chance to shave. “...to each other…”
He feels Mobius chuckle into the hollow of his throat, and he might be indignant about that if the flush of his warm breath wasn’t so delicious.
“How would that’ve worked?” he asks, but the tone of his voice is more curious than sarcastic, encouraging Loki’s imagination as he was so oft to do. “You go to the Tesseract megastore at some point and then…?”

Meanwhile, Mobius pilots, annoyed by their antics and angered by Loki's betrayal in Alabama. Loki wrestles with his feelings - of guilt, for his actions, and whatever it is he feels for this man that's made him feel guilt in the first place.
