Marinette laid down under her thick comforter for the tenth night and felt herself being lulled to sleep, only to be jerked right back out of it when an unsettling chill was felt on her forehead. It felt like fingers brushing her skin. She gasped loudly and scrambled backward, almost falling off her bed. She gasped for air, clutching her chest. It wasn’t fingers. It wasn’t fingers. It was just a rush of cold air from the vent.
