Wade never thought he would take a job from Charles Xavier like this, but when he was hired to look after a guy named "Patch," and take him down, he couldn't pass up the opportunity. He knew of Patch. He used to be a part of the X-Men as the Wolverine, but other than that he knew nothing about him, even thought he felt like he should.
Wolverine had turned to a life of crime. He ran a mutant mafia that went against everything the X-Men believed in, becoming a rich man who owned several different casinos, owning one of the most popular one's in New York. Wade decidedly infiltrates his casino, thinking this will be the time he takes him down, when things go horribly wrong.

Logan didn't know what made him say what he said next. Maybe it was the whiskey. Maybe it was the fact that he did need to spit. Maybe it was the sexual frustration of Wade saying these things over and over again and never following through.
