In game we sometimes see Moon Keepers in Seeker tribes, so I wouldn't be surprised if some "crossbreeds" existed. I couldn't think of a better word, sorry, English is not my native language.
G'raha botching it AGAIN with the deafness. Guy is too used to be able to hear ^^' I like his efforts on learning sign language, however. And I love the name Altani Tani, clearly a Lalafell, isn't she? I love our potatoes!
"crossbreed" usually describes animals or plants, so it would be inappropriate when talking about a person. discussing race in English is hard! it has a lot of thorny history, and different terms are appropriate in different places and contexts. where I live, "biracial" (or in this case maybe "multiethnic", since Miqo'te is a race in FFXIV?) would probably be the best adjective here.
anyway, Khovu's bio family isn't going to come up much in this fic, but yeah - in his world, it's not uncommon for Keepers and Seekers to have kids together. G'raha sees it all the time in Sharlayan, but it's less common (or less commonly discussed) in Eorzea.

That sounds like a far better word, thank you. In my country, we normally just say something like "mixed", which also can be used for animals, so I guess we don't make much of a difference with that?
I think it is downright canon for seekers and keepers to have kids, M'naago is having a sun seeker dad (the Nuhn of the M tribe) and her mother is clearly using the keeper model. She mostly got the looks of her dad though, must have gotten his genes ^^
