Comment on End Of Two Canons

  1. Yes, I really like that you made Aoko so wonderfully patient and openminded person. I like that she firstly observe before she makes any decision and picks any action. After second thought I decided she might even find it funny to see Kaito becoming Kid in much safer circumstances - even if he got caught and unmasked, he wasn't being seen as an international criminal any more but more like a person who was a part of secret police/fbi/psb/etc operation to catch a very dangerous organization. So as long as the heist involved a private sector and no taxes would be wasted on real task force, and he return what he stole, it should be fine for Aoko and I believe she ecen watch it with amusement.
Also I guess Kaito would probably treat it more like a show than a heist. A little show as a 'thank you' for his fans for supporting him all that time.
But as for Aoko, she and grown up Shinichi (grown up because of Conan) could easily find a common language as they both are very good with observing their surroundungs and getting the conclusion first than blabbing without thinking (Heiji, I'm looking at you) I guess Shinichi doesn't have a girl friend to talk who could be smart but not being a 'crazy' scientist in the same time. Ran, Sonoko and Kazuha aren't stupid but it's not the same.

I can't imagine Chikage to be typical housewife all the time. But I was thinking that now, before her boys find a way to trust each other completely, she could be the moderator for anything that may ignite an argument. On the other hand, her personality seems to be the one who is the sparkle to all arguments. I have a feeling that in your story both male Kurobas are rather easygoing and calm and they wouldn't get into the argument without really good reason - like life risking reason.

Also "do whatever you want" is just mine issue. I've heard that a lot in that context and whenever I hear/read it, I see red flag. But you made it quite clear what were Aoko's intentions and she definitely is too reasonable to play that kind of games with Kaito - saying things but meaning other things. I think that if she wanted him to not do the heist, she would tell it to him.

I also like Nakamori better. He's cool guy. With a bit unhealthy obsession about Kid, but on the other hand he has his reasons. I guess catching Kid was making him feel alive but now when his target is a decent man and his future son-in-law it seems not that fun anymore - he knows Kaito too much to know that boy's intelligence. Although I sometimes like the scenes where Nakamori makes the whole Kid chasing yet when he corners Kid (without witnesses) they exchanged news like "Aoko is carving pickled cucumbers recently, I think we'll have a boy", "Another Kuroba? Well, I hope you'll find what you're looking for before he'd be old enough to pick up that mantle" (police nearing them) "Well, that's my cue to leave." "Don't forget that you and Aoko are invited to tomorrow's dinner." - It would be cute, I think it's possible that when the organization would be destroyed but he didn't find Pandora yet, he keep being Kid and seach for it. But maybe due to respect the taxes, he won't be outting Kid's show, so rather a scenario that wouldn't happen.

Still the chapter is nice and I like it.

    1. That’s exactly how I feel about Aoko too! I think she would actually enjoy it, as long as there’s no real danger involved.
Maybe in the future she’ll chase him from time to time as a police officer! :3

But I also planned for Kaito to stop at some point — to live out his KID life a few more times and then say goodbye with one final heist. After that, he’d keep working undercover with the police and Shinichi.

When you wrote about Heiji blurting things out, I had just finished the first part of my next chapter — where he almost did exactly that xD I really had to laugh at that coincidence.

You’re absolutely right about the feeling of the Kurobas.
Chikage is wilder, but still level-headed and never reckless — quite the opposite, actually, just a bit more daring.

I find it really difficult to write Chikage in the current chapters, which is why I’ve been leaving her out a bit. I tried to portray her as best as I could in the main story, but now I feel kind of stuck and afraid I’ll end up making her seem too negative. xD

As for Nakamori, I really like your take on him being laid-back — even more than in your story, actually. I don’t think he’d mind if something had already happened between Aoko and Kaito, since he trusts Kaito more than any random guy (even though Kaito is KID).
And your idea about them talking casually during heists sounds really nice. I’ll include something like that in my next heist chapter. :3

      Thank you!
